You’ve known Bella for as long as you could remember, you, Bella and Jacob were extremely close when you guys were younger, but when she moved, she left you and Jacob behind. While you missed her deeply, you stayed close to Jacob, you didn’t want to let your little friendship break due to Bella’s move.

Now, Bella was back in town years later, of course you and Jacob were going to greet her, it had been way too long since you’ve seen each other!

Apparently Jacob had gone to see her a few days prior with his dad, giving her a truck as a “welcome home” gift, so you went to see her on your own.

You git to the swan’s residence, just as you remembered it, the cold air breezing past you as you go up to knock on their door, you knew they were home, since there were cars out front.

After a few seconds, Bella answered the door, “Oh, Y/n!” She said, while you pulled her into a hug. “It’s good to see you,” you said, pulling away while she ushered you inside, away from the cold.

Over the next few days, you’ve caught up with Bella, growing close once again, like how you were as kids, you found out she was going to start going to the same school you currently attend, Forks Highschool.

You made her sure she was comfortable when it was her first day, she made friends very quickly, but she made sure not to ditch you, thankfully.

You told her about the kids at school, including the Cullens and how odd they were, despite all of them being totally gorgeous, they were definitely a bit weird, especially Edward Cullen. You didn’t fail to notice them make eye contact in the cafeteria, that’s weird, but you tried not to think too much into it.. maybe he was just not used to seeing her, she was new, after all.

After lunch, you were walking her to her next class, which happens to be Biology. Once you made it to the door, you noticed the only empty spot in the class was next to Edward himself. “good luck with that.” You nudged her lightly.

“It’ll be fine, hopefully, see you after class.” She said before entering the class and sitting next to Edward, while you made your way to your own class, hoping that class didn’t go bad for her.

Over the next few weeks, you’ve seen the two interact more, it was definitely one of the most weird things you’ve seen in a while, and soon, they started dating! Lucky her.

You were curious, how did she manage to date Edward Cullen? And recently, she stopped telling you things, which was really weird; she told you everything! Why stop now?? There’s definitely something going on, and you’re going to figure it out.

And so, a couple days later you went to a book store in Port Angeles, looking at their books while truing to recall everything you knew about the Cullens, specifically, Edward Cullen.

Eventually, a book caught your eye, a book about vampires and the Quiluete legends. You sat down in a nearby chair and skimmed through it, thats when you realized, a lot of the Cullen’s have the same traits as a vampire would, pale white skin, ice cold skin, you remember bumping into Alice and accidentally brushing your hard against hers when she handed you something you dropped, her skin was extremely cold. Vampires also tend to sparkle in the sunlight, and the Cullen’s often don’t show up to school on sunny days, everything here and the cullen’s match like puzzle pieces.

You just figured it out.

They’re vampires.

That makes sense on why Bella hadn’t said anything, she must know, since she’s dating Edward and everything, but you’re going to confront her just in case.

It was already dark out when you left the book store, you ended up buying the book just in case it’d be handy later, you had to walk a while since you had to park more on the outer part of the city, closer to the forest.

You unlocked your car and put your book in the back seat, you were about to get onto the drivers seat, but then..

Suddenly you were tackled.

You looked up at the person who tackled you, anf they had

Red eyes.

Their touch was ice cold.

“I’m done for!” You thought, shutting your eyes tightly, but before anything could happen, you felt their weight get lifted off you, along with loud growls and barks. You opened your eyes, only to see a giant greyish-black wolf growling at the vampire who was originally trying to hurt you, the vampire ended up running off, danm, you didn’t expect them to be that fast.

The wolf looked back at you, and you both locked eyes. You felt this.. pull to the wolf, you knee this wasn’t any ordinary wolf, there’s no way they’re that big, either!

Were they a shifter?

You read about them when you were looking up your research about vampires, that there were shifters, or so-called werewolves, this was definitely one, but what was this feeling? Who were they?

Before you could even get up, the wolf ran off, how were you supposed to find them now??

You tried to shake that feeling off as you headed to Bella’s place, but you were so curious on who the wolf was.

Soon enough, you made it to Bella’s house, getting out of your car, bringing the book with you as you walked up to the door, knocking on it.

As Bella answered the door, you spoke up before she could say anything, “we gotta talk,” you said before she moved to the side, letting you come in.

You two talked about the whole Edward thing, and he ended up genuinely being a vampire, you were right! Though, you felt uneasy letting your best friend, a human, date a vampire. But, she reassured you that they didn’t feed off of humans, they only drink animal blood, so they considered themselves “vegetarians.”

That put you at ease, at least you knew she’d be okay with them.

Until..

Edward left, and Bella was devastated. That made you upset, how could he just leave like that?!

You tried to be there for Bella as much as you could, but she seemed to wnat to he alone for awhile, so you gave her some space.

Then, she started hanging out with Jacob, which was cool.. you even joined in sometimes, you were happy she was getting better, but that wolf still never left your mind, who were they?

And one say, Jacob disappeared on you guys, and obviously that upset Bella, it had been a few weeks since that happened, and now she had dragged you to his house to confront him, but when you both got there, he was fast asleep.

But who else was there? Sam Uley’s little group, so obviously Bella went to confront them.

But one if the boys caught your eye, when you and Bella got closer to the group, you and one boy locked eyes, and you got that same feeling you did when you stared into the wolf’s eyes.

But before you could process anything, Bella slapped another one of the boys, causing him to start breathing heavily, and before you knew it, he turned into a wolf.

A wolf?!

It wasn’t the same wolf you saw by Port angeles.. but maybe if this was a wolf pack.. maybe the wolf you saw wad the boy you locked eyes with!

You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard Jacob’s voice, he phased into a wolf and quickly tackled the other wolf, next thing you know, Sam ordered the other boys to take you and Bella to someones house, Emily, was it?

When you arrived at the house, you noticed the boys just messing around, seeming not to really mind the situation.

“Shouldn’t we go back and see if Jacob’s okay?” Bella asked, obviously a bit concerned and confused of the whole situation .

The boys just said that they’ll be fine and not to worry about it too much, your eyes kept wandering to the boy you locked eyes with less then two hours prior, gosh, he was pretty handsome.

They sat down at the table, where some food lies. “Save some for your brothers.” A woman speaks up. “And ladies first, muffin?” She asks, you and Bella decline politely.

Though, you decided to sit down at the table, next to the boy you were randomly attached to. He seemed to grow a but nervous, and so did you.

“Hey!” You spoke up, trying to hide the nervousness in your voice with a cheerful tone of voice.

“Hi,” he said,

“What’s your name?” You asked curiously.

“Embry.. Embry call.” He said, taking a bite of a muffin. “You?”

“Y/n L/n.” You said, slowly growing comfortable. “It’s nice to meet you,”

“The pleasure’s all mine.. you’re not freaked out at all, though?” He asked

“Nah, not really, i did some research beforehand..” you said, not mentioning you’ve seen a shifter not too long ago.

“So you basically know the legends, hm?” Another boy asked, his mouth full.

You nodded, “mhm.”

“What about imprints?” He asked, which he got kicked under the table for the question. “Ow!”

“Imprint..?” You repeated, unsure of what that was, it wasn’t in the book you read, now, you’re curious. You looked at Embry beside you, it seemed he was staring at you too, but he looked away when you looked back at him.

Over the next few days, you saw Embry around, so you always tried to make small talk with him, you wanted to get closer with him, but he was always so reserved, not in a cold way, but it was like he didn’t see any interest in you, always keeping your conversations short or not even noticing you, did he not feel the same way you did..?

Despite that thought, you kept trying, like today,

You were at the store, and you ended up spotting him “hey, Embry!” You jogged over, a smile on your face

“Oh hey Y/n,” he said, a usual greeting “how are you?”

Oh my gosh!! An invite straight from the guy you liked himself! Usually you’d get invited by jacob, but by Embry?! You’re over the moon!! “‘Course i’ll go!” You said, obviously happy.

“You’re pretty cute when you smile, y’know?” He murmured, “n-not that you’re not cute all the time-!” He backtracked, and you laughed

“I get it. calm down, Embry!” You said, you can tell his act was cracking.

When it was time for the bonfire, the bonfire was a blast! You had a lot of fun! You met some other girls, Rachel, kim and Leah, as well as meeting Seth! He was such a sweetheart, like a little brother to you. And now, you and Embry are walking on the beach.

“Hey, Y/n?” He spoke up

“Hm?” You looked over at him, wondering what he was going to say.

Do any of the Cullens actually care about Bella? Short answer: no. But it’s a little more complicated than that, and it varies by each of them. They don’t care about her in the way we’re led to believe, or even the way Bella believes they do. Instead, they care about her only insofar as she serves their interests. From the moment Bella enters their orbit, she’s a demonstration of how little the Cullens actually value human life.

The text makes this clear, and Midnight Sun outright spells it out: the Cullens are inherently selfish. Human life is disposable to them. The difference between them and other vampires is that they cosplay as humans, pretending to care while masking their predatory nature. We’re supposed to think they’re “better” than regular vampires, but they’re not. And honestly? That’s what makes them creepy. None of them cared about Bella as a person. Most of them were fine with her being killed if it came to that.

Edward sums this up perfectly in Midnight Sun when he considers what everyone would think if he drained Bella. Rosalie and Jasper wouldn’t care—if anything, they’d feel smug for being right about Edward’s inability to resist. Esme’s concern would be for Edward’s well-being, not Bella’s life. Carlisle would be disappointed but ultimately forgiving. Emmett? He’d shrug it off. Alice might be upset about losing a potential friend, but even that’s questionable. None of them cared enough to oppose the idea strongly; they were just going along with what suited them.

Rosalie, in particular, gets villainized for not liking Bella, but she’s not any worse than the others. The difference is that Rosalie doesn’t lie about her indifference. She doesn’t play mind games or pretend to care. She wasn’t plotting against Bella she just didn’t want Edward’s fixation to endanger the family. Jasper and Emmett, on the other hand, were fine with Edward killing Bella. Rosalie only got involved when Edward started implicating them in his reckless behavior. Even then, she relented when Carlisle insisted they play nice.

Esme, meanwhile, cared more about Edward’s happiness than Bella’s life. If killing Bella made Edward happy, Esme would’ve supported it. If dating her and dooming her to vampirism made Edward happy, Esme welcomed her. Alice? Alice was less concerned about Bella as a person and more about the idea of her as a new “friend” and human Barbie doll. She orchestrated the relationship, fully aware of the danger Bella faced, because she wanted Bella close. She doesn’t care about Bella’s safety; she cares about her own desires.

Jasper? He doesn’t care about Bella as a person. To him, she’s a tantalizing temptation a challenge to overcome and a new ear to hear his Civil War stories. Emmett? He’s just along for the ride. He didn’t think twice about Bella until the family decided to include her. Then she became “Edward’s human,” and that was that. Carlisle? He cared about Bella in the abstract as an innocent girl who didn’t “deserve” to die but his actions show his selfishness. He made vampires without their consent, knowing they’d kill humans, and let Edward pursue Bella, fully aware of the danger. Carlisle’s priority has always been maintaining his moral high ground while indulging his family’s selfish desires.

Ultimately, none of the Cullens cared about Bella beyond what she represented to them: Edward’s pet project, Alice’s new toy, or Carlisle’s opportunity to preach about self-control. They proved this when they abandoned her without a second thought, leaving her unprotected from the supernatural chaos they brought into her life just because Edward said so.

They’re selfish, manipulative predators who pretend to be human for their own twisted reasons. They don’t care about humans, and Bella was no exception. The outrage over Rosalie’s indifference feels hypocritical when none of the Cullens actually cared about Bella either. At least Rosalie was honest about it. She didn’t have a vendetta against Bella she was just upfront about her priorities. Compared to the others, Rosalie’s selfishness is almost refreshing.

Which brings us to the next natural question: does Edward care about Bella? Spoiler: no. He thinks he does, and we’re supposed to believe he does, but that’s a whole other can of worms. In conclusion, no, the Cullens don’t care about Bella not as a person. She was never more than a convenient object of their desires, and that’s the unsettling truth at the heart of their “family dynamic.”

Haul of Historic Coins Sells For $176,000 at Auction

A British man who found a massive cache of ancient Roman gold and silver coins while hunting with a metal detector has a lot more modern currency in his pocket after the treasure was auctioned off for $176,000.

George Ridgway, a trained archaeologist, investigated an unusual marking in a recently harvested field in Suffolk, England in September 2019, according to a news release from Noonans Auctions. He knew that a Roman road had once run close to the field, and thought there might be something to find.

Hours scouring the area turned up nothing, he said, but when he shifted his position by just 30 yards, he found two Roman brooches that dated back to the 1st century. Shortly after, he found a silver coin issued by Julius Caesar in 46 BC. Another three hours of searching turned up 160 more silver coins and some pottery fragments.

"I knew I had made an important archaeological discovery and called my dad to guard the site overnight while we waited for an archaeological team to arrive and excavate the site," the 34-year-old said. "It took three months to recover the hoard."

During that excavation, researchers found even more coins, including gold pieces. In total, 748 coins, dated from as early as 206 B.C., were recovered. Alice Cullen, a coin specialist at the auction house, said it was one of the largest hoards of Iron Age and Roman coins found in the United Kingdom. The coins may have been buried by a long-serving soldier in Rome's XX Legion, who were once stationed in what would later be known as Colchester, England, Cullen said. There was a "fierce battle" in the area around 47 A.D., Cullen said, and a victim of the conflict may have been the person who buried the coins.

Sixty-three of the coins were claimed by the British Museum and the Colchester & Ipswich Museum, to be displayed in their collections, and the rest were auctioned. While the auction house expected the sale to garner about $100,000, it actually brought in more than $176,000, according to CBS News partner the BBC.

A coin issued by Gaius Caesar - also known as Caligula - decorated with a portrait of the Empress Agrippina and dated to A.D. 37-38 sold for about $9,295, according to the BBC. Another coin, issued by Claudius and dated to A.D. 41-42, sold for about $6,640.

Ridgway said the proceeds of the sale will be split between himself and the landowner of the site where the coins were found. He said that such a find has been like a dream come true.

"I was inspired by my childhood hero Indiana Jones to start history hunting when I was 4 years old, and I dreamed of finding a Roman hoard since my grandmother bought me a metal detector for my 12th birthday," Ridgway said. "It was an awe-inspiring moment when I realised that I had found one!"

He's not too angry about it, just nervous. You still get to see them. Sam doesn't cut you off from your friends.

Paul would absolutely hate it. It genuinely makes him angry. He wants to keep you to himself, but he loves you way too much to do that to you. He hides how deep his anger is, but he does tell you he hates it. In the beginning, there were petty fights.

"Alice invited me to their house party."

"I'm going." "Stay beside me."

Your hand never leaves his. Although you do get to see them, it's not often. It's a lot of compromising, but you guys have been through this so much that there's no more fighting.

Jared HAS to go with you, or else he will have a panic attack. While he's there, he's fake nice. He throws shade at them that only you understand, and you have to casually slap his hand underneath the table or behind your back. He thinks it's so funny that you are friends with them. He says, "it doesn't make sense how a perfect woman could be friends with dead people."

There's no arguing just him groaning and complaining when you have plans with them.

"Again?! We just had a date with Renesmee and Bella."

Bro HATES Jasper and Edward. He doesn't mind the others. He really likes Emmett.

"Embry! Esme called. We are going there for game night." You called out. Embry stomps into the room and crosses his arms. "Is Emmett going to be there?" You nod and he agrees to go.

When you guys are around them, he has to avoid looking at Jasper and Edward, or he will get annoyed. You are never allowed to be alone with Jasper. Edward, yes, but he just thinks he's annoying. He's scared Jasper will eat you.

"Helllll naw!!!!" That's his response when you told him how close you are with them.

"You can't go to their house. And if you go out, I have to be there. Period. Don't fight me on this, love. You won't win."

He stays to himself when you are with them. He answers questions but never starts a conversation. He's respectful to them but doesn't like them. Edward smiles at his thoughts, which pisses Quil off, but he stays silent just to please you.

Leah-loo!!!! My girl.

At first, it was hard. She was very unhappy. She didn't let you go around them at all. When you voiced your opinion and how you felt trapped, she gave in but went with you.

She was not nice to them at all. It made you mad. "Leah, they are letting us in their home. Be nice." You hiss at her.

It took a while, but after Renesmee and shit, she was okay with it all.

Seth trusts the Cullens. He didn't like you being away from him and out of his territory, but he let you be there. ESPECIALLY if Jake and Nessie were there, that's when he was the most comfortable. He'd get a lot of shit from the Uley pack. They'd make fun of him and tell him he's not a good imprint or protector.

He's felt guilty a lot because of it, but you remind him of how amazing he is.

Most of the time, he goes with you because he enjoys the company. But girls' time or when he's patrolling, he doesn't go. But he doesn't mind if you do.

The Sims 4 Twilight Vampire Legacy Challenge

Welcome to my Sims 4 Legacy Challenge based around the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer. This challenge has eight generations and requires the vampires DLC pack. Twilight is my favorite movie, and the Sims 4 is my favorite game so naturally I decided to combine the two.

Each generation is inspired by each member of the Cullen family, this does not mean that each heir has to be named after this character, resemble this character in any way or be the same gender as this character--it is just the name of the generation. I hope you have fun trying out this challenge, and make sure to check out my other challenges such as; The Sims 4 Occult Matchmaking Legacy Challenge and The Sims 4 Shoujo Romance Anime Legacy Challenge featured on my tumblr or on my tiktok @ bbgsim.

Rules:

The founding sim must start as a teen and must be human

Each heir must complete their aspiration

If you were able to write the prom scene (including Bella ofc), how would you fix the atrocious way SM went with those runway dresses? Would you completely change the designs? Only alter them a little bit? What do you think would best fit Bella, Alice, and Rosalie in a high school dance setting?

I think I'd just google like "2005 prom dresses" and pick from there. I get that she's going for 'wow the Cullens are Extra' with the whole Paris Fashion Week thing, but those just . . . don't even look like prom dresses? They're not For That.

How is she supposed to do cirque du solei dances in the high school gym with Jasper dressed like that? And we're not even getting into high school dress codes!

Alice's just, IMO, doesn't work. For her I'd probably actually look at prom trends from a few years after 2005, because obviously she's going to be ahead of the curve both as someone who can literally see the future and as someone who loves fashion. But like, they're still TRYING to blend in in theory, yes? The Alice dress does not blend in at all. Strapless minis were apparently a big hit in 2008, maybe Alice did something like that. It would also fit her sort of ballerina vibes because a poofy enough skirt would resemble a tutu.

Rosalie's is probably the closest to being a prom dress. I'd just make it have a more modest neckline to be more appropriate for a high school setting. Still red, still a knockout.

Bella's dress is fine I guess as a dress but doesn't look or feel like a prom dress to me. (SM has said it was this but blue). Maybe just use the one from the movie? That's fine. It's whatever. It works. Edward likes her in blue. I'd maybe have a fuller or more dramatic skirt (because Alice picked it out), but the overall shape and color seems fine to me.

It's just another example of SM saying "they are trying not to draw attention!" and then showing "LMAO they are SO RICH AND QUIRKY!" and she's explained it as you can get away with more as a rich eccentric person than a poor one (true) but like . . . you could also just try not to be so eccentric and wear normal dresses to prom and not publicly date whom the locals believe to be your foster sibling?

Alice is the nebulous concept of an iPhone that hasn't come out yet. It doesn't matter how hip and with it everybody else tries to be, Alice's phone is newer.

Bella is an iPhone series 5 or later, which is to say she looks fragile and she is fragile. Drop her on a cushion and the entire screen shatters. Edward is constantly buying her screen protectors.

Carlisle is a Marconi wireless telegraph, a life-saving technology that no one would have thought possible if Marconi hadn't been mad and brilliant enough to do it. Carlisle, having saved human lives in unconvential ways since long before there were smartphones, can only be a Marconi wireless.

Edward is a Huawei. This makes him more indie and interesting than the Sony and Samsung android phones of the world, and the fact that the US has forbidden all Huawei from being purchased or used within country borders means that Edward can cry about being rejected by society. Because he's a monster.

Emmett is a phone booth, to account for his sheer size. The man is a hunk. Rosalie is into it, everybody else wonders how she's planning to lug this guy around.

Esme is a landline, because she stays in the home and is at the heart of the family.

Jasper is an android phone, because none of Alice's nebulous concept phones have a good camera, on account of them being iPhones. Jasper, therefore, is on the hook for photoshoots with Barbie Bella, events, and all such things. Additionally, he's pragmatic enough to want an android.

Renesmee is her voice, as her entire world consists of people who are always close by anyway. She has never needed a phone to get in touch.

Rosalie is a Nokia, because she strikes me as too pragmatic and stubborn to ever bend to the smartphone craze. They'll be out of fashion soon enough and when they are she will be able to say she never accepted any of the CandyCrush invites. As far as Rosalie is concerned, phones are for ringing.

Bonuss Eleazar:

He is the communal Denali phone where they have the phone numbers to the Cullens and a host of dating apps. That's it, that's all any of them will ever need.

p.s so this is the first fanfiction I ever wrote, back when I was 13 back in like 2011. So safe to say, it isn't the best, but it's like my child, I love it. The plot is a bit all over the place, but I think it's still a fun little story. Which has like 3 sequels if you can believe it.

A few weeks of hanging out nearly every day with Seth, he finally asked me out on a official date. I couldn't believe it. I had been waiting for this moment for years. And when I really thought about it I was beyond nervous. I had never been on a date... I had spent my entire time liking boys on liking Seth. I never even thought of going on a date with anyone else. 

I smiled idly at my phone, forgetting my lunch.

"Who are you smiling at?" My friend Katie asked, Seth loved texting me when I was at college and I loved him texting me. It made my day.

"Nothing" I smirk, feeling my cheeks redden. I hadn't told Katie, or Jamie about Seth yet. They knew of him, but that was it. 

"You've been smiling at your phone all day, that's not nothing" Jamie grinned. I looked at the both of them, they were both staring at me with huge grins on their faces. 

"Is it a boy!?" They both cheered in unison. I could feel my face go redder than before. There really was not point to lying.

"Yes, do you remember Seth?" I asked, they both nodded. Of course they remembered Seth, I had spoken non-stop about Seth for years now. 

"Seth, the boy wonder that you were obsessed with throughout our teen years?" Jamie asked grinning.

"Shut up, but yes" I say, slapping his arm lightly. 

"You're dating him?" Katie asked. I shook my head. 

"Not yet, but we're getting there, we have our first official date tomorrow" I smirked, they of course, took the utter piss out of me for the rest of the day. What else are friends there for I guess. 

I left lunch a little earlier than usual, anxious to get to my next class, I knew Jamie and Katie wouldn't mind, they could go enjoy their 'secret' make out session, they hadn't told me yet, but I knew about it. It made me so happy.

When I got home after college my family were in the living room, and it sounded chaotic. Both Nessie and my dad were sitting in front of Connor. 

"No Connor say Dada" Dad spoke 

"No Muma" Nessie spoke

It was beyond cute seeing them both like this. I walked into the living room and sat on the couch with them. 

"We're going to the Cullens for dinner tonight" Mum smiles at me. Dad wasn't smiling, he didn't hate the Cullens but he wasn't their biggest fans. I never knew why, something to do with them being vampires I think, I wasn't sure, no one would tell me the history. Seth might tell me if I ask.. 

I loved being around them, it was a bit strange how young they all looked, but I liked being there. 

Esme loved me, she always fussed over me. Alice was bubbly and kind. I loved being around Rosalie, she was amazing, and I looked up to her a lot. 

Emmett was wild to be around, he was always up for an adventure with me, despite how much my dad didn't want me to join them on adventures. Jasper was maybe my favourite of them, he was quiet, like me and helped me with my college work. I think he liked that I was taking History, he would never stop talking once he started. 

Edward and Bella, my step grandparents were lovely, always treating me. Carlisle was lovely too, he keeps trying to push me towards the doctor route in my college career. Its funny, but blood made me squeamish. 

Though Carlisle took a special interest with me from a young age, once when I was younger, I had to have a blood test, and he found something odd in my blood, something he had never seen before, even in the blood of a wolf. It's weird. I never asked questions on the subject, it made me feel uncomfortable. It wasn't anything life threatening so I could easily ignore it. 

Once we were at the Cullens home, Esme was first to pull me into a hug, she kept me in her arms for a while, telling me how lovely I looked and how much she loved me. 

Before dinner everyone mostly fussed over Nessie and Connor, everyone loved babies in this house. I stayed quietly on the couch watching, smiling to myself as I thought about Seth, I could see Edward smiling at me, of course he heard. 

"I heard Amy was dating that wolf boy Seth" Emmett smirked at me, I glared at him. I'm glad Esme and Carlisle were in the other room cooking for the food eaters, otherwise they would have swooned and asked so many questions. 

"I always liked that one" Rosalie smiles to me. 

"We could always set her up with a vampire instead though?" Emmett jokes, or at least I hoped he was joking.  

"We're not dating, we're what you oldies call courting" I answer smirking, dad laughed out loud at that. 

"Maybe Connor will marry a vampire and won't become a traitor by dating wolves" Emmett smirked, mum and I smiled to one another. 

I fake punched his arm and he pretend to fall down, like I had actually done damage. 

Dinner of course was only food for me, dad and Connor. But we all still sat down together and spoke and laughed. It was a little strange since the vampires didn't eat but I loved when we were all together. I was still trying to get the vampires and wolves together some day. 

Once home, I rushed to my room, I shut my door and opened my laptop calling Seth, he answered straight away. He was sitting in his room, on his desk chair with no shirt on. He was trying got kill me, he looked very nice. Of course he would, he worked out every day and ran around in wolf form all the time. He was obviously going to look that good. 

"Earth to Amy" He grinned knowingly. Fuck. I had been caught. 

"Sorry! How was your day?" I asked smiling sweetly. 

"It was great love, didn't do a whole lot" He answered "I'm so excited for tomorrow"

"Me too" I say shyly. 

We spoke for a few more hours until I was falling asleep at my desk. To which Seth ordered me to bed, he blew a kiss and disconnected the call. 

 I climbed into bed with the goofiest grin on my face, I couldn't wait till tomorrow now. I was pretty much falling for Seth, completely falling for him, and I didn't have a problem with it at all.

He doesn’t care if he’s around a ton of people, he just needs to make sure you’re there with him.

If you two are at a party, or some sort of social gathering, he’d most likely be found standing behind you, arms wrapped around your waist, and him leaning his chin on one of your shoulders.

Alice loves to take pictures of you two, especially when Jasper’s holding you like that.

Jasper is the king of respecting you.

And he’d run to the front of the store to open the door.

All of the Cullens were standing there, staring at Bella. Goosebumps littered your skin, afraid that you were about to witness your best friend’s death in-front of your very eyes.

Carlisle had rushed towards Bella, protecting her as the rest of the Cullens rushed outside to calm Jasper down.

You had went outside, Edward in-front of you, and you were scared.

Edward knowingly looked behind him to see you with a crease in between your eyebrows.

“It’ll be alright, Y/n.”

When you two had finally made your way to the back where the rest were, and if Jasper could cry, there would be tears pouring down his face.

His face was in his hands as he sat on the ground.

You walked up behind him, and crouched beside him.

“Hey…”

Jasper looked up from his hands and he sped away from you, next to Esme.

“Please…I don’t want to hurt you too.”

A wave of sadness immediately washes over your features, and Jasper can feel it which makes him feel worse.

Jasper looks at Edward, to which Edward enters his mind, and he understands what Jasper wants him to do at once.

Edward then makes his way towards you, and escorts you away from everyone else.

You’re silent the whole time, your mind clouded with thoughts as he opens the car door for you and begins to drive you home.

You try to clear your mind, trying not to give Edward a headache.

“Y/n, I appreciate your efforts in attempting to clear your mind, but it’s not working.”

When you get to your house, you thank Edward for dropping you off, and for him to give you any more information on Jasper, if anything were to happen.

He agrees, and tells you to stay safe and to have a good night before speeding off.

Jasper then avoids you for the next couple days, and you don’t particularly enjoy that.

Every time you try to talk to him, he always walks away before you could even form a sentence.

You end up texting Alice, asking if you had provoked some form of annoyance in Jasper when you went to pursue him after the incident at Bella’s party.

“He doesn’t hate you, I can tell you that. Why don’t you come over for a movie night, just us, and we could do our nails or something?”

You’ve always loved being friends with Alice; she’s always been amazing at distracting your mind from your troubling thoughts.

Besides, she was probably asking you to come over because she had seen something.

You come around to the Cullens’ after dinner, and you go up to Alice’s room after greeting the rest of the Cullens in the living room.

You had noticed that Jasper wasn’t in the living room.

You had knocked on Alice’s door, to which she had opened it with a smile on her face.

After your nails had dried, Alice had pulled you downstairs.

Your eyes had lingered over his face for longer than you thought, trying to see if he would even attempt to look at you.

Yes, it could have been avoided, but you’re still learning to gain control, and you’ve been doing amazing. It was just the one time, and it might happen again, but in the end, everyone is alright. You can’t blame yourself for one thing forever.”

Jasper didn’t say anything, he just put his book down, and wrapped you in his arms, his face buried in your shoulder.

“I’m so sorry. For everything, for ignoring you, for hurting Bella, for almost destroying our relationship, I’m so sorry. I love you so much, darlin’.”

After you two make up, you two return to the beginning.

Inseparable, that is.

Bella and I were best friends since we were kids. She moved out with her mom, and I stayed. She never knew what growing up in Forks looked like, but I did. It's always the same faces, the same people, the same friends... But no, not really. I never had any other friends after she left. That was until the Cullens moved here.

They probably noticed how I looked at them with certain fascination, or how I tensed every time one of them was near me. Fortunately, I was in the same classes as Emmett Cullen, and that made us very close. It took a while to make Rosalie like me, but the rest of them treated me like a friend. I started sitting at their table, we would hangout out in the forest, they would come to my house and we would watch movies together... At that time I had no idea why they liked me so much, but our connection just felt right.

Later that year, Bella moved back to Forks. It was weird at first, I didn't know how to approach or talk to her. She was really clumsy at the beginning, and that motivated me to introduce myself again. It took me by surprise when she said she remembered me. I introduced her to the Cullens, but she had already met Edward at biology class.

Getting to know Bella again kinda made a little distant from the Cullens. I still talked to Emmett at the class, but other than that we were just friends in the hallways. It wasn't like what me and Bella had. Being around Bella made me feel like I was finally hanging with someone who had something in common with me. It's true, they made me feel welcomed between them, but I knew I wasn't like them.

Bella had this weird thing going on with Edward. I never asked, and she didn't told me. The day of the incident with the truck, I was near her. We both saw Edward stop the truck with his hands, it wasn't something our brains could have made it up. He wasn't there, and suddenly he was. We didn't get hurt, thanks to him, but I did get my forehead scratched, probably against the car behind us. The Cullens took us to the hospital, even through Bella and I insisted it wasn't necessary.

I was talking to Bella's dad, the Chief, trying to explain what happened, but my words completely vanished l once I saw him.

"I heard the chief's daughter was here" he said. His velvety voice, sounding like the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I don't think he noticed me, his golden eyes were all over Bella. He analyzed her to see if she had a concussion or something, but all I could see was how his hands touched her. I felt... weird.

"I'm fine," Bella said, "Y/N is the one who got hurt."

All the eyes in room were on me, including his golden ones. I sighed and cursed under my breath, wishing my best friend could have stayed quiet and I could turn invisible so they would stop staring me. My body shaked once I heard him chuckle, like he listened to me cursing. No... he couldn't, right?

"Let's have a look at you, Miss Y/L/N," Doctor Cullen came closer to me, "Can I?" He asked in a whisper.

I nodded giving him the permission he wanted. That was the first time I let Carlisle Cullen touch me.

A while later, Bella and Edward started dating. My relationship with the Cullens became again what once it was. Emmett and I were friends inside and out the classroom, I went shopping with Rosalie and Alice, everything was back to normal.

For the first time I was invited to their home. Bella said their parents were inviting her to meet them officially, and she wanted me to be part of it. I saw it as an opportunity to see Doctor Cullen again, and of course I said yes. It took me a while to realize I was into Edward's father, and he was married to Edward's mom. Which means, I was into a married man.

They made us lunch, but turns out me and Bella were the only ones who actually ate something that day. Carlisle and Esme explained to us that they weren't actually married, and people just assumed that because they had foster kids together. I thought it was weird but didn't said anything about it. Most of the time I was listening to him talk, while admiring his beauty in silence. I never asked about the golden eyes, or the incredible pale skin, or the icy touch they all had, even though they weren't blood related. I never asked and I never wanted to know. I noticed, obviously. It was there, and it was pretty noticeable, but I never felt like asking any of them.

I was so amazed by Carlisle, that a couple of days later I was finding excuses to go to the hospital. First, it was a bad headache. And he thought It could have something to do with the car incident. He told me to do some exams, just to be sure. That was the excuse I needed to see him again. I went to see him for the sixth time in a week, but I think he noticed how weird that was and decided to call me out.

"Really, Y/N, I don't think there's anything wrong with you," He said chucking.

"It's you." I muttered.

"What?" Carlisle frowned and I immediately faced the ground.

His cold touch made contact with my skin as he cupped my chin with his hand.

"What did you say?" Carlisle asked, his voice was raspy and low.

"It's you" I said, "I can't seem to get away from you."

That was the day of our first kiss. After that day, I forgot how was life before Carlisle. He was all I knew and all I needed.

Just like Edward and Bella, Carlisle and I were a thing. His family weirdly accepted our relationship, but that was just between us. He didn't want the people to think he was some sort of perv, and neither did I.

My parents didn't know about us. I didn't wanted them to know, I never had a good relationship with them. My mom only cares about my father's business, and my dad only cares about with how many women he can cheat on my mom. They're problematic, and that's a part of my life I don't want Carlisle involved. He knows I don't talk to my parents, and he knows I live on my own, so that's enough info on my life.

Every moment with Carlisle felt like home. It felt like nothing could harm me, and his embrace was the most safe place in the world. His fingertips caressing my hair, his cold lips on mine, his intimate gaze always staring at me... I couldn't live without him. I wouldn't know how to breathe without him. I was probably projecting all my "mommy and daddy issues" in this relationship, and creating dependence on him, but I couldn't see that. And honestly? I don't think he did either. But he knew he was the only thing I had left.

Like everyday, I called him before I went to sleep. That day, he didn't answered, and it was weird because if he had a work thing, he would have said something or texted me.

The next day I tried calling him again, but no answer. I tried Emmett, Alice, Edward, Rosalie... Shit, I even tried Jasper. None of them answered. I started panicking and went to Bella's hoping she could know what was going on.

Charlie said Bella wasn't in the mood for talking, but he let me in anyway. She was looking terrible, like she spend the whole night crying or something. Soon as she saw me, she hugged me and cried. "They left!" She said between sobs, "He left me. They left us."

No. That wasn't right. Carlisle would never leave, not without saying a word to me before.

"Edward told me yesterday before they left, he said they needed to. Carlisle needed to look older than he does..." Bella said and I frowned confused. "B-but... But he never told you, right? He never told you what they are?"

"Bella what are you talking about?" I snapped.

"I'm talking about vampires, Y/N! I'm talking about them! With their golden fucking eyes, and their cold glowing skin and their fucking gifts! Fuck, you had been together for months and he never said ANYTHING?" Bella started screaming in my face like I was some sort of dumb girl that couldn't understand a single word she was saying.

"No... He- he didn't... What the fuck do you mean by vampires? They never hurted us." I took my hand to my neck, looking for a scar or something.

"They never needed to, they drink animal blood. Shit, Y/N! You really had no idea!?" She was incredulous, "How could you be so blind?"

"I noticed, okay? I just- I never asked! It wasn't any of my business! Did Edward told you?" I started questioning why Carlisle kept this from me.

"No, I asked him and he didn't deny. The thing is, they left. Carlisle is supposed to look 10 years older and people started to suspect."

"So he left me?!" I screamed in anger, finally realizing what happened, "He left me without saying a fucking word?"

Bella looked at me in silent. Then, she hugged me and I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I turned into a whimpering child, sobbing with face buried in my friend's shirt, because my vampire boyfriend left me. This sounds so ridiculous, but he knew how much I loved him. Yet, he left without saying a word. They all did. Edward came to see Bella, though. He must really love her...

Maybe was that, the lack of love. If he had told me about leaving, I would have left with them. If he had told me, I would gladly accept this vampire bullshit. I guess I didn't meant that much to him.

Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when every beat of the second hand hurts like blood pulsing under a bruise. It passes erratically, with strange lurches and lulls, but it passes. Even for me.

I was not over him. But the memory of him hurts so bad that I had to pull it away. Sometimes I still wake up screaming his name. Sometimes I still cry myself to sleep, missing his freezing hands around my body. But what once was usual, it turned into sometimes.

At first, I thought I could see him. Behind me in a reflection in the mirror, or in front of me telling me not be reckless. I could also hear his voice, he was constantly telling me to do the right thing, to be careful. But he didn't cared enough to be here with me.

I came home late that night. I was drinking in a pub, and some guy I met there drove me home. He wanted to get in with me, but I wasn't in the mood. I just told him to fuck off and locked myself inside the house.

The lights were on, and I could see his figure standing in the corner of the kitchen. I rolled my eyes groaning, not really feeling like discussing with some sort of trick my fucked up head is playing me.

"You changed" He said.

"How would you know?" I chuckled, tossing my keys to the table, "You're not actually here. You left, remember?"

"I do. And for that I'm deeply sorry, Y/N" He said in a low voice.

I turned my head to look at him again. No. No, It wasn't some trick. He was here. Carlisle was here.

In an inhuman speed, he came towards me. His arms around my body, that same arms that once was my safe place. I just don't recognize it anymore.

"I'm sorry," muttered, his cold lips against my hair in the top of my head.

"No," I whispered, "No,"

My voice became louder, "You can't do this to me. You can't."

"Y/N-"

"Stop, stop. Get out of my house, Carlisle! Get the fuck out of my fucking house!" I pushed him away from me, but he took my arms in his hands.

"Y/N please!" He stopped me from moving.

I hissed at him, "Why the fuck are you even here?!"

"I don't want you to kill youself," Carlisle mumbled in a low voice, and I groaned rolling my eyes, "I'm sorry I left, Y/N, but I don't want to see you like this."

I looked at him with disgust. I couldn't feel anything but anger.

"You're fucking dead to me," I whispered.

"You don't mean that," He frowned.

"I fucking mean every fucking word. You are dead to me, Carlisle. You and me we're fucking done. There's nothing fucking there anymore. Nothing. Fucking. There." I spat in his face.

"I don't believe you" He tried to grip my arm but I pushed him away.

"You're fucking vampire!" I screamed, taking that out of my chest, "Just go around sucking the fucking spirit out of me!"

"I love you" Carlisle tried to argue.

"No, the fuck don't! You love being loved! You're a fucking vampire who likes sucking life outta me! AND IT FUCKING HURTS, CARLISLE!" I fell on my knees, not having much strength to keep me up again.

I was already a sobbing mess. He was just standing there, watching me. But I know if he could cry, he would.

"You fucking left me! You left me when I fucking needed you," I took my hands to my face, sobbing and cleaning my tears "You fucking left me at my fucking lowest, and I was your girlfriend, someone who fucking loved you, who does some shit like that, Carlisle?"

"I love you, and I want to help you" He said, walking towards me.

I stepped back and pushed him away from me. He used his vampire speed to get behind me, and his arms to hold me tight.

"Please, please Y/N, let me help you. I promise you I will never leave again, please,"

Once again, Carlisle Cullen became the only thing I had left.
