I’ve been talking to someone online for about a month now. He always initiates the conversation, and I always respond. But now, he hasn’t messaged me for almost a week. Should I check in on him to show that I’m interested since we were talking seriously, or should I just leave it as it is? I feel like he might be testing me to see if I’ll show interest or if I’m just playing around. I was thinking of sending a simple, ‘Hi, how have you been?’

I say this with kindness, but some of you really complicate the dating process. If you like him, text him. If he likes you, he'll text you. A secure man will pursue you as long as you show reciprocity; if you don't, he takes the hint and stops bothering you. A player tests you and plays games or just forgets about you. It's that simple. So if you have to ask such questions and play games on who's more nonchalant, darling he's not the one for you. A guy that likes you will literally text you at 00:01 on new year's eve (true story) so stop overthinking it.

PS: there's no such thing as "talking seriously". There's no such thing as "dating seriously". Until there's a ring on your finger, you're still single and on the market.
