It is in the silence where we learn many things about who we are in Christ and also who Christ is. It is in the quiet place where God speaks the loudest. It is in sitting still, where we see God moving. Silence is important and necessary for the Christian to grow in relationship with the Father. Some of us don’t even realize that being constantly busy drowns out the voice of God! How can you hear God speak when you are always surrounded by noise? How can you spend quality time with the Father when you keep yourself constantly busy? Give God His time, give Him your undivided attention. Get away from it all! No noise, no distractions, just you and God. <3

y/n opened her fridge, unsure of what to eat for dinner, but quickly realized how empty it was. "hmm... should i just order online?" she thought to herself. "no.." she brushed it off, "i need to save money."

y/n continued to search her kitchen, finding a pack of ramen stored in the corner of her cupboard. "i guess i can eat this." y/n began to boil her water and prepared her dinner in a matter of time.

once the ramen was fully cooked, y/n went into her room to watch her k-drama with the ramen. she had waited a whole week for a new episode to drop and was excited to watch it. she set up her iPad and before she could even press play, a facetime call abruptly interrupted her peace.

"babe~" it was yeonjun, y/n's boyfriend of 5 years. he had gone out with his friends to go for drinks. you could distinctly see his asian flush under the bad lighting.

"when are you coming home?" you said, giving him pouty lips.

"i'm sorry~ the boys keep making me drink... i ran away to soobin's room to call you," he said, pouting his lips back.

yeonjun noticed your cup of ramen showing in his view.

"are you eating ramen?"

"yeah... there wasn't much to eat in the fridge." y/n said, placing her phone down in front of the ipad, holding up the ramen cup to show him, and taking a bite out of it.

"i can grab you food on my way home," yeonjun said, watching y/n eat the poor quality junk food.

"no, no, it's fine," she assured him. "i wasn't that hungry anyways."

"are you sure? i don't want you to-"

"one hundred-percent," y/n interrupted him.

"alright," he said, adoring her.

"i was going to watch our k-drama alone~," y/n teased yeonjun.

"what~ we're supposed to watch that together babe," yeonjun said, clearly unhappy about how disloyal y/n was being.

"don't watch it without me" he begged.

"hehe, maybe i will if you come home," y/n continued to tease him.

"don't you dare," yeonjun said, holding the "i'm watching you" hand gesture in a teasing way.

"okay~ promise me you'll be home before 12" y/n said, holding out a pinky promise to him.
