Atlantis (OV-104) rolled out ceremony from Building 150 at the Palmdale, California. The orbiter was delivered to Kennedy Space Center on April 9.

Atlantis was named after RV Atlantis, a two-masted sailing research vessel operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. From 1930 to 1966, she made 299 cruises and covered 700,000 miles while conducting oceanographic research.

GWEN STEFANI, THE queen of confessional pop, shared some insight about the evolution of her career, along with an update on her life with husband Blake Shelton.

In a People interview published Wednesday, Gwen touched on her role as The Voice coach sans Shelton, who exited after 23 consecutive seasons. “I was really weirded out like, ‘What’s it going to be like without Blake?’ But we are having so much fun,” she said. “At the end of the day, coaching these humans who are so gifted … I love it.”

n regards to her songwriting, Stefani said that one thing will always be at the core of her music. “I’m never going to write anything that’s not just completely reflective of what’s going on in my life,” she said. “Before I wrote my first song, I was this dyslexic girl who didn’t know how I fit in. Then I was like, ‘Oh, this is my magic power.’ I’m so honored that I got the gift to be able to write music, and I take it super seriously.”

In June, the star released romantic pop track “True Babe,” her first song since 2021’s “Slow Clap” featuring Saweetie). Last month, her and Shelton’s rendition of “Love Is Alive,” a single from the Judds’ 1984 debut album Why Not Me, was released as part of the forthcoming album A Tribute to the Judds, out Oct. 2.

The pair wed in 2021, and Stefani said that she “didn’t see any of this coming with Blake.”

“This was just a big old ‘What?’ It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time,” she continued. “He’s changed my life … when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy.”

Last spring, Stefani headlined the 2023 BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, California alongside the Black Keys and the Black Crowes. The former No Doubt frontwoman played a string of European and U.K. festival dates and wrapped the run with an appearance at BST Hyde Park Festival in London with Pink this past June, performing a bevy on nostalgic hits for the 65,000-strong crowd.

In June 1989, Nirvana's debut album was released. The album pre-dated Dave Grohl and drums were courtesy of the highly underrated Chad Channing, and on a few tracks Melvins’ Dale Crover (who I spoke with about this album in 2017). June 22, 2004: A Ghost is Born released

In June 2004 the 5th album by Wilco was released. Following up Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was a tall task, but this was quite a follow up. This is an album I got that Summer and listened to it quite a bit on my disc man that Summer (before I got an iPod). There's some solid tracks here and notably "Spiders (Kidsmoke)", a 10 min. slow burn build-up that blows up at a certain point in the song. Happy 20th AGIB!

HER PAST In 1982, when James Sr. was stationed in Lebanon during a peacekeeping tour with the US Marines, he met his wife Sana who was a local working as a translator for the Marines. The two often worked together and quickly fell in love, and when his deployment came to an end, he promised to return to Lebanon for her so they could be married. In 1984, he returns to Lebanon and much to the displeasure of her religious parents, Sana leaves with James and they elope. Bringing her back to the states, he is stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina where Sana persues further education and later gives birth to their firstborn son, James. Jr. in 1888. In 1990, after being restationed in Yuma, Arizona they have their second child and first daughter, Beaumont.

Beau spent her first years of life moving from one place to another and was often withdrawn as a child. Prefering to be alone than playing with her brother and younger siblings. From an early age her parents noted that she had a greater interest in knowledge and reading, being more idept in Arabic than the rest of her siblings. In her teen years, with newer gained confidence, she sought higher education with hopes to attend university in Hawaii where her family was stationed at the time, receiving a handsome scholarship from the school of her choice. But an old colleague of her father, Scott Hardy, encouraged her to join the Marines and follow in her mother's footsteps as a trained translator, later becoming a negotiations specialist who was known for being level-headed and quick witted.

Feeling unfilled with her career choice, Beau left the Marines at the age of 22 to return to academics. But received attention from Kate Laswell after narrowly saving a whole Marine Corp Squard from bombing with her quick ability to process intel. Laswell, determined to recruit Beau under her, offers her a position that'll allow Beau to attend university in Washington, DC while working for the CIA as a linguistic and intel analyst.

After a few years of office works and receiving her degree through excelurated work, Beau accepts a field assignment to work in her mother's homeland of Lebanon. Stationed there, she spends time reconnecting with her heritage whilst helping filter through intel for all of the middle east. During her time in Lebanon is when Beau first meets Alex Keller during his time in SAD. And though there is an instant spark, the two are off and on, never having the avaliabity and emotional energy to commit to a full-term relationship.

Beau is referred by Laswell to a new field assignment to work alongside the US Marines and International Corp in Urzikstan as tense begins to arise between forces. (Where MWII starts up) During her time in Urzikstan, her relationship with Keller becomes more serious in the threat of terror and her specialty and skills catch the eye of Captain John Price who tries to recruit her as a support member of TF141. Hoping it'll give her a chance to return and finish her work in Urzikstan along with letting her be with Keller, Beau accepts the position and begins working alongside TF141.

OBryan lovelite SoulTrain1984 remastered  On this day in music history: June 23, 1984 - “Lovelite” by O'Bryan hits #1 on the Billboard R&B singles chart for 1 week, also Bubbling Under the Hot 100 at #101 on the same date. Written by O'Bryan Burnette II and Don Cornelius, it is the biggest hit for the North Carolina born R&B singer/multi-instrumentalist. After a string of successful singles from his first two Capitol Records albums “Doin’ Alright” and “You And I”, O'Bryan goes back into the studio in late 1983 to begin work on his third album. The singer and musician co-writes and produces “Lovelite” with Soul Train host/creator Don Cornelius, who discovers him and becomes his manager. Issued as the first single from his third album “Be My Lover”, the synth-heavy groove is an instant smash on R&B radio and in clubs. “Lovelite” attracts attention (and some controversy) when an alternate cut of the songs music video features several scenes of female nudity. Aricka and Steve relationship timeline

February 20th 1967- Steve is born

April 24th 1967- Aricka is born

August 1974- Aricka and Steve meet for the first time- they shared a table in kindergarten. They don’t speak to each other a lot because they have different friends.

August 29th 1977- Aricka and Steve are assigned partners on a book report project. They discover they have a lot in common and when Steve’s friends exclude him for hanging out with her she claims him for her own friend and has him join her friend group. They’re ten years old.

The entirety of 1978- Aricka’s seven year old sister Sara dies of leukemia. Her parents start fighting and split up. Aricka decides to live with her dad. Throughout all of this Steve, Dori, Billy, Aricka, and Eddie never leave.

Spring break of 1979- Aricka finds out Steve’s parents are barely home and he’s alone a lot. She agrees not to say anything but says he can stay at her house anytime he wants and her dad won’t mind.

September 1981- Aricka and Steve kiss for the first time under the starry ceiling at Hawkins middle school. They become a couple on this date as well. They are 13 years old.

November 6th 1983- They’re 16 now. Will byers goes missing and they were a couple of the last people who saw him. They go looking and find nothing. Eventually they find him but they get involved in something way bigger than either of them; and find themselves leaning on each other more than ever before.

Entirety of 1984- they’re closer than ever. They guard each other’s backs and study harder than ever to be on top of things for graduation. They help with UpsideDown related issues and keep their heads down unless it’s something to do with their interests.

John Lennon and George Harrison were honoured with a blue plaque at the site of the former Apple Boutique in a ceremony in London held at at 94 Baker Street. The new plaque reads "John Lennon, M.B.E., 1940-1980, and George Harrison, M.B.E., 1943-2001, worked here."

2004 - Ray Davies

The Kinks singer Ray Davies received his CBE medal from the Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to the music industry.

1984 - Van Halen

Van Halen's 'Jump' peaked at No.1 in the US. Over the years David Lee Roth has given various accounts of the meaning behind the lyrics, but most often says they are about a TV news story he saw where a man was about to kill himself by jumping off a building.

1973 - Dr Hook

Dr Hook's single 'On The Cover Of Rolling Stone' peaked at No.6 on the US chart. The single was banned in the UK by the BBC due to the reference of the magazine.

1967 - Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix Experience released 'Purple Haze' in the UK, (US release was June 19). Hendrix had read Night of Light, a 1966 novel by Philip José Farmer. In the story set on a distant planet, sunspots produced a "purplish haze" which had a disorienting effect on the inhabitants. It is thought that Hendrix took this as the idea for the songs lyrics.

1967 - The Beatles

Working at Abbey Road studios in London, The Beatles finished the recording of 'She's Leaving Home' after adding backing vocals to the track. Harpist Sheila Bromberg who was part of the string section on the track became the first woman to play on a Beatles recording.

1957 - Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley bought the Graceland mansion from Mrs Ruth Brown-Moore for $102,500. (£60,295). Facts:

On March 11, 1994, when Adriana Chua filed a petition in the Regional Trial Court of Pasay City asking for the declaration of the nullity of her marriage to Jose Lam (Branch 109). In her petition, Adriana claimed that Jose and she had been wed on January 13, 1984.

Adriana Chua filed a petition for a declaration of nullity of marriage against Jose Lam in the Regional Trial Court of Pasay City (Branch 109) on March 11, 1994. Adriana claimed in the petition that: she and Jose were married on January 13, 1984; as a result of their union, they had a son named John Paul Chua; however, Jose's psychological incapacity did not become apparent until after the wedding when he frequently skipped going home, engaged in wacky behavior,

Jose Lam received a summons that was properly served on him on March 22, 1994, but he didn't file a response until fifteen days later.

Adriana herself was the only eyewitness. She testified that Jose was chosen for her in a traditional Chinese manner by her parents, and that their marriage was unusual because Jose never worked for a company and rarely visited home. She was also the one who paid for all of the expenditures for their one child, John Paul, and he refused to pay for anything he needed to live and constantly pestering her for money to buy sports cars. Adriana filed an urgent motion to reopen[4] on June 23, 1994, claiming that she had been able to get fresh evidence that was important, crucial, and supplementary. The application to reopen the case was granted by the trial court on July 6, 1994. and conducted a hearing to receive further evidence.

The Pasay RTC allowed the marriage contracts between Jose and Celia Santiago, dated May 25, 1977, and Jose and Evan Lock, dated May 6, 1982, to be used as evidence[5]. This proved that Jose had already been married twice before he married Adriana in 1984.

In light of the aforementioned, the Court now declares that the union between respondent Jose Lam and petitioner Adriana Chua is void since it is bigamous by nature.

On November 3, 1994, Jose filed a Motion for Reconsideration[8] thereof but only insofar as the decision awarded monthly support to his son in the amount of P20,000.00.

 He claimed that the support of the child was already covered by the clause contained in the Makati RTC decision[9] dated February 28, 1994, when he and Adriana agreed to each give P250,000.00 to a fund that would benefit the child.

Issues:

he Court has no other recourse but to reverse the decision of the Court of Appeals and Pasay RTC insofar as the award of support is concerned and order the remand of the case to Pasay RTC for further proceedings as to the issue regarding support.

Ruling:

Insofar as they determined that the amount of support is by no means permanent, the Pasay RTC and the Court of Appeals were both accurate.

We decided that even if the prior case for support brought against the same defendant was rejected, the same plaintiff might nonetheless bring a new action for support. In that context, we further held that:

Jose's argument that the Makati RTC's approval of the compromise arrangement between him and Adriana—embodied in its decision dated February 28, 1994 in the case for voluntary dissolution of conjugal partnership of gains—bars any further award of support in favor of their son John Paul has no substance.

The Pasay RTC's ruling could be ruled unconstitutional because it was made outside of its scope in regards to the declaration of nullity of Adriana and Jose's marriage due to their bigamy. However, taking into account that Jose did not challenge the Pasay RTC's decision declaring his marriage to Adriana null and void in his move for reconsideration

Jose, the petitioner, is prohibited from contesting Adriana and his marriage's nullity determination, thus the court will not reverse the... Adriana and Jose's marriage was ruled to be invalid by the Pasay RTC due to their bigamy. A jurisdictional question may be presented at any point, however there is a general rule that allows for an exemption when estoppel has taken precedence.[20]

As a result, here petitioner Jose was robbed of due process when the trial court proceeded to hear the case on a motion to re open and issue judgment without giving Jose the appropriate notice and the opportunity to counter the new claim against him.

The Court's only option is to overturn Pasay RTC's and the Court of Appeals' rulings regarding the support award, and to remand the matter to Pasay RTC for further proceedings resolving the support problem.
