Because apparently I hardcore ship the two muscular bros from the Burning Kabbaldi

- Date has like Misumi p much since their first year but ignored his feelings because Misumi was in a relationship.

- Misumi didnt realize his feelings for Date for a long time. When he realized that he would rather spend time with his best friend than his girlfriend he realized that he wasnt into their relationship but it still took a long time to come to terms with the fact that maybe he liked Date as more than a friend.

- Date finally told Misumi he liked him a couple weeks after Misumi breakup and he made sure to know that Misumi didnt have to reciprocate. Misumi just kissed him to shut him up. Misumi honestly told him he wasnt sure, he didnt even know if he liked dudes like that but that he wanted to try.

- They have been together ever since.

- They havent told anyone on the team yet cause they didnt wanna bring it up to early but they are pretty sure that Iura knows

- They go on a lot of gym dates which they both love but Date tries to make sure that at least once a month they go on a more traditional date like dinner and a movie or to the arcade.

- Misumi loves collecting little action figures so for their anniversary Date gets them custom made action figures. Misumi loves it but is super confused why his eyelashes are so prominent on his figure.

- They love to hold hand likes all the time whenever they can.

- Misumi is a terrible cook but he tries to make Date a birthday dinner and nearly burns down the kitchen so they end up ordering out. Date is suprised Misumi even tried cause he hates cooking.

Omi

You and Omi have been dating for a while, and came to you tired as hell one day but he kept on denying it.

He definitely deserved a rest, and coming to you was like a recharge for him.

Knowing this you had surprised him with his favorite dinner.

Sure some of the ends of your dish were burnt, you accidentally scorched your hand a bit in the process, and there was too much salt and pepper here and there, but nonetheless, it took effort to make.

When he arrived he was in shock. At first at a loss of words realizing you put so much effort to him coming to your house that it definitely made his entire day.

“Y/N...?”

“Hi, Omi! So... dinner’s a little burnt, and there were some issues with the stove so I had to fix it up, a bit, the tables aren’t made and-“

He did not care how imperfect you made it sound, what mattered was that you were here with him and he quickly pulled you into a loving and tired embrace where he rested himself over your shoulder.

“...Omi?”

“...”

“I know the dish might not be to your standards but-“

“I love you...”

He sounded so drained yet genuine when uttering those words, he was just glad to have been in your presence.

Still keeping you in his arms he looks at you and gives you the softest, feather-light kiss on the forehead with his hand on your cheek.

“You’ve gotta be the sweetest person I’ve ever met.”

He knew his way to sweet talking, but you never thought it could get you this flustered.

He peppered kisses around your face, each kiss causing you to turn a shade redder than before.

However just moments away from kissing your lips, he takes a small pause to just admire you.

“Are you sure I can...?” He doesn’t finish his sentence before you break out in laughter.

“Don’t you think you’ve done enough damage?” You smile at him, tip-toeing against his tall figure to reach for a nice kiss on the lips.

It was a nice, sweet kiss to share after the both of you were tired and worn out from a long day, all of a sudden bouncing with energy.

Of course, Omi worried sick about your hand once that happened and would not leave your side that night.

Angry.

He had been trying to ask you out for actual decades, but something had always seemed to get in his way, it was almost comical at this point.

Every time the two of your had time together, some chaos was always going on in the Mankai Dorms ranging from Banri’s and Juza’s never ending rivalry to Misumi literally evading the cops for stealing what he said was a “special triangle”.

He did enjoy spending time with you, but it was just never enough with the craziness that continued to go on.

No matter how hard he tried or what excuse he tried to come up with, nothing seemed to work to find the time to ask you.

Then again, he was honestly very emotionally dense. Didn’t know if when you were sad was the right time to pop the question, or when you were in the clouds and he was worried about pulling you down.

It was only when he had a chance to have a drink with Azuma that he was able to sort out his thoughts.

He went on rants about you, though trying to stay civilized under the influence, Azuma stayed and listened and wrote down advice for him to not forget later.

Of course, waking up in the morning, he had the worst headache and couldn’t make sense of Azuma’s writing.

He did the next best thing and freshened up in the bathroom to get rid of his headache, and went to get some fresh air only to find you sitting by the porch.

“Oh! Sakyo, you’re up early. Shouldn’t you get some rest? Azuma told me what happened when the two of you got home.”

He immediately looked around, mentally slapping himself to sober up as he peered at every window and inch of the dorms.

Not a single soul was awake. He couldn’t hear Itaru’s Game Over sound, Muku’s sniffling over shojo manga, Tsuzuru’s aggressive typing, none of it was heard.

He felt as if he was still dreaming, but frozen as he realized that he had no excuse when it came to telling you now.

He was fully aware, and at sunrise he held both of your hands and flashed a smile.

“For the longest time, you have no idea, for how long I’ve been trying to get to you.”

This man has been frustrated for what feels like centuries and has just been aching to tell you his feelings.

However when it came to the word, nothing would come out.

You began to listen intently but there were so many gaps full of silence it was difficult to see what he was going to portray, but boy did he look stressed and worried.

You tried to inch closer to him and took note of how he was acting. He had never been this much of a wreck in front of you, but now that he had the chance to try and express himself, you could only come to one conclusion.

“Hey, Sakyo?”

“And then so I- yeah?”

You continued to inch closer and put your hand on his shoulder.

“You’re free to yell at me if this goes wrong, or if I’m wrong, but there’s been something on my mind I need to get sorted out.”

“Y/N what are you-“

Right then as the sun had finally come up, you gave him a kiss on the lips.

Sakyo had pulled you in closer, his hand on the small of your back and begged in his mind for this moment to never end.

The endless pining and pain was now over for him, and for you as well.

However the moment the two of you heard a tiny gasp from the window coming from a certain triangle-lover, you knew that that was not the end for Sakyo’s bitterness at his ridiculous, ridiculous timing.

Title: Hidden request

You stretched in your bed, feeling the smooth sheets wrapping you as the curtains helped block out the sun coming from outside.

Your body had felt so heavy yesterday. You had been working until late and fell asleep the moment you entered the room. So, you had decided to stay inside all day. At least that was your first plan.

That peaceful time came to an end as a few loud bangs came from the window of the balcony. Trying to open your eyelids, you scrambled out of bed as you opened the window, not even surprised. “Hey there, Misumi.”

Misumi Ikaruga. Summer troupe member. Your crush.

Normally, people would die if they knew the person they were interested in came to their window to talk to them. Like a knight or a prince.

Reality was that being neighbors with the Mankai theatre meant you had gotten to know the jumping man from striking up conversations as you watched him on the roof of the dorm. At that time, he had seemed more like a graceful acrobat.

Casual conversations turned to daily conversations and before you noticed it, you seemed to have fallen for the sweet and curious actor, how some days walked to your balcony to ask you about your day and the cats he had run into. The way he viewed the world left you speechless and he had this aura around him that you couldn’t help but find endearing.

Shaking your head in disbelief, you smiled as the orange-eyed greeted you happily. “Y/N, it’s too late in the morning to be sleeping!”

“Believe me, it’s not too late taking into account the time I went to sleep. Everyone doing fine?”

Not that you minded him appearing without notice, but for some reason the athletic boy had made it into a common thing to come visit you more frequently as time went by. At first it both embarrassed and scared you -he had sometimes come at the worst times and you were also afraid he could fell- however, you got used to it, and seeing the facility the boy had to climb from their roof to your balcony, nothing surprised you anymore.

“It’s easy. I’ll teach you how to do it sometime!” he had said to you once.

“What you should do is knock on the door. For my sanity and the other neighbors.”

He had yet to knock on your door.

“Everyone is doing super great! Here, I brought you the tickets for our next play.”

“Neat!” You took it gratefully, although you didn’t know why he had taken them with him. You usually bought them from the website. “Do you have plans today, Misumi?”

“Going for a triangle hunt! Do you wanna come with me? It’ll be fun!”

You considered your options. It had been a while since you had been able to relax but going out didn’t seem like a bad idea either. Besides, you could imagine it as a date as sad as it might sound.

You were trying your best, you really were… but sometimes it felt as if you had fallen for a dense rock. A triangle, dense rock. “Sure, but let’s have something for breakfast on our way out, my fridge is empty.”

“Yayyyy!”

“Okay so, if you had to choose between two triangles, the best ones you ever found but could only take one because you had a… heavy chest full of money in your other hand, what would you do?” you asked him as you finished the coffee you bought in an earlier stand.

Misumi didn’t hesitate. “I drop the chest!”

“You would drop a chest full of money for another triangle?” he nodded at you with confidence. "Having already other one?"

“You said that those triangles would be one of the best ones I would ever find, right? Then I drop the chest!”

You laughed. I mean, it’s not that you hadn’t expected it. “Fair. Let’s just not play this game in front of Sakyo-san…”

You two suddenly stopped when you hear the meows in a close alley. Pepping, you found a mother cat sleeping, her kittens playing around.

“Aaaah so this is where you were, Fuku! I see you are a mom now.” as the blue-haired boy greeted the animals, you remembered how Misumi liked to name the district cats. Another endearing thing to write on the reasons you liked him.

He opened the bag he had been carrying all along and pulled out some onigiri. Spreading them on the floor, soon the mother and kittens gulped all it down, making you both smile.

“Was it delicious? I put salmon and plum filling inside!”

“Do you always bring food?”

“Yeah, they like it! Here, you can feed them too.”

You crouched slowly, you didn’t want to scare them “Here you go, mommy cat.”

The mother got close to you, cautiously smelling the food. She then bumped her head with your hand, purring. Misumi got closer too “I see… Yup! You don’t have to worry! Y/N is with me looking for triangles, they’re really nice!”

“Did I get approved?” Masumi nodded and you took one of the kittens and kissed its nose. “Good, now I can hug them all until I’m satisfied.”

After staying for a bit more with them, you both resumed your hunting walk. You felt your body relax. Watching you with a smile, Misumi sighed.

“How nice… I hope I also get to receive kisses like that from you soon.” he looked up, hands crossed over his head.

The sudden comment rushed right over you so much, you almost fell before looking at Misumi in shock. You didn’t want to think he was messing with you but even you hadn’t expected anything like that “K-Kiss…?”

“Yeah! Now we are dating so it’s ok, right?”

Your head started to get dizzy in a matter of seconds. Did he say dating? You two? In real life? “Misumi…? I, I don’t remember-”

“Mmm? But Kazu told me in order to date someone you should ask them out, and I did!”

Oh.

You stopped him from saying anything more with your hands. This was turning into a mess and you needed to clarify it before you fainted. “Ok, hold on- You mean you coming today with the ticket for the performance, asking me to go triangle hunting…”

“Aha!”

“…having breakfast and playing with the cats…”

“Yep!”

“…was you proposing me to start going out?”

He nodded smiling brightly. “And now we are dating! so it’s okay to kiss, right? I have wanted to be with you for a long time”

You were almost sure your heart was about to jump out of your chest? This could very well be the strangest way anyone had ever asked you out… but at the same time very Misumi-like. You looked at him, warmth spreading through you as it usually happened when you were with him.

“…I’m debating whether to have a talk with Kazunari or not, but I’ll decide later. Now, let’s look for those triangles” you kissed him on the cheek. He beamed at you.

Itaru, Misumi, Tsumugi, Azuma: They Miss You

He doesn't like showing it, but he's one of the needy types when you two haven't seen each other for a long time. Either because of work or because your schedules overlap, Itaru gets quite frustrated when he doesn't see you every two or three days.

He starts cursing under his breath more and runs his fingers through his hair, and you two normally don't text because he's always playing a game on his phone and can't afford to be interrupted during it.

At times, when he feels that he's had enough of this separation, he'll text you late at night when he has nothing else to do: 'Yo. Let's meet at the convenience store or smth."

And then he'll don his usual tracksuit combo, but sub the jacket with his bomber. U know the one.

He breathes a huge sigh of relief when he sees you waiting for him at the front of the store with your hands in your pockets and your cap on low. You almost look like a sketchy stranger, but Itaru knows better

"You look creepy like that, Dummy." He'd tease you and flip your cap off your head with a cheesy grin. You'd scurry after him when he enters the store, cap on his head as he bites into a lollipop he had saved in his pocket earlier.

He buys whatever snacks you're craving for and adds an energy drink for himself. When you've got all your supplies, the both of you share a seat outside, with you curled up in his lap.

You're feeding both him and yourself as he plays a game on his phone, wrapped up in his jacket and arms as the cool night breeze rustles your hair.

This becomes the usual routine whenever you guys are stuck with a heavy schedule during the day.

Surprisingly, Misumi is someone who doesn't show he misses you until he actually bumps into you.

It's almost like he completely forgot LOL

Okay, but fr, when he bumps into you he gasps.

"Ah!!! I missed you!!!" He exclaims and launches himself at you with a laugh. It's so all of a sudden that it makes both of you nearly topple over, but he saves you with his quick reflexes.

He's been so busy looking for triangles (and sleeping) that he almost totally forgot about you. No offense, really, but his mind is so taken up with triangles, acting, and onigiri that he'll temporarily forget about anything else.

When he does see you, you take up all of the space in his head!!!! He's basically got tunnel vision on and he can only focus on you!

"Where have you been?" He'd ask curiously. I don't think he has a phone (unless it's canon) so it's pretty difficult to contact Misumi at all. Most of the time you get updates from Kazunari since he's closer in age with Misumi than the other troupe members, but they're all weird messages lol

You explain why you have been so busy lately, but Misumi waves it off since it's not really a bother. Literally he couldn't care less, he just wants to talk. Idk why he asked pft I'm writing this shit

He takes you on a walk since whenever he goes out, the weather is always super nice! Not too hot, not too cold, but just right!

He's always holding your hand; he's a bit worried he'll lose you if he doesn't.

You go eat snacks with him at some point and he babbles on and on about how he was thinking of you and was trying to figure out a way to track you down.

You cough,,, Ahem . . . Bebs u don't have a phone....

You actually offer to give him one of ur old phones so you can talk through a messaging app but he quickly makes an X with his arms to decline.

"It's fun when I talk to you with Kazu!" He beams and you don't have the heart to say anything but....

Kazunari had the same idea as you though so the very next day you actually receive a message from Misumi himself LOL

He gets fidgety when you're not around; doing things like fiddling with the watch on his wrist, readjusting his sleeves, or tapping a pen on his leg. He got real used to you being in his arms most of the time, and he doesn't know what to do when he's not doing it.

Tasuku ends up noticing right away and he rolls his eyes, suggests that Tsumugi make the move first and see you at whatever place you're chilling at.

Tsumugi gets flustered when he's caught thinking about you, and he shakes his head and slaps the back of his neck with an awkward smile as he claims that he doesn't want to disturb you.

"Look. I don't really know much about dating, but if you want to see them just say something."

So with what little skills he has with technology, manages to call you! And even manages to set a time and place to meet the next day!

His heart flutters when he sees you at your designated meeting place and immediately starts to walk faster to greet you!!!

He brought a couple of flowers too because he passed by a flower shop on his way to you.

You jump up when you see him come inside and both of you immediately latch onto each other for a hug. It's a warm, very tight hug that smells like vanilla and cherry blossoms and you're getting happy just because of it.

You're both giggling excitedly when you pull away, and Tsumugi cups your cheeks in his hands to give your widdle nose a kiss!

"I missed you." He pouts and you pout back at him, motioning for him to sit in the seat that was across from yours.

His energy never dissipates as you both talk about how your week has been going, and you know he's listening in earnest when he brushes his thumb along the back of your hand while staring at you with wide, sparkling eyes.

You guys definitely have the best dates when you haven't seen each other in a while.

Azuma's emotions are really difficult to pinpoint. Not many can tell when he's missing you other than Sakyo, who spends the most time with him out of all of the dorm members.

He tends to stare off into space when he's thinking about you, and it looks really poetic when he has a mug in his hand because he traces the rim with his index finger as he looks lost in thought.

The corners of his mouth will be tilted upward as his mind races with images of you laughing and smiling, and he slumps forward in his seat as he cups his mug in his palms. He really loves it when you look at him like that.

Sakyo gets a little disgusted sometimes and tells him straight away that Azuma needs to go and see you or something.

Only thing is that Azuma isn't fond of going out during the day because of the sun (it's canon don't @ me) so you two actually have a bit of trouble seeing each other considering you don't find it safe to venture outside at night.

BUT!!!!!!!! Azuma drives! :o

It'll take him some time to find the location you send him on his phone, but he . . . . . gets there

His smile is all coy when you enter the car, but the 'I've missed you.' that falls from his lips is unmistakable.

You two go out and eat at one of those nice cafes that are open late at night as bars aren't in question anymore. He used to go and drink with clients, but it wasn't something he wanted to do with you. He felt you deserved more than just a couple lousy drinks at some stinky place.

And once you guys find a nice seat at the window, he's all over you <3 He wraps his arm around your shoulders first and scoots your chairs closer so that they're touching. He waits for you to lean into his side on your own, and when you're relaxing, his other arm comes, a hand resting on your thigh as you tuck your head against the spot between his neck and shoulder.

It's very chill, and you two talk idly about what has been going on lately as you take sips from your drinks.

You two end up staying very late at the cafe... ;; Haha

That's it. That’s the review. Also, I miss you, Qinni. 

No, but seriously, the instant the bgm started in track 1, I was already in tears. Volume 6 was hands down the most painful and nerve-wracking volume out of the whole series so far, and it has many of the most iconic and painful lines ever said by Yashiro, so I was so scared of listening to this even though I’ve had it for a while now. Needless to say, it completely broke me as Frontier Works came at me with another masterpiece. From the pacing, to the voice work, to the sound direction, and the accuracy, Frontier Works has, yet again, hit every mark. But well, Yoneda Kou’s always in good hands as all of her BLCDs were adapted beautifully.

Speaking of beauty, let’s move on to the beautiful, beautiful voice work.

Man, Shingaki Tarusuke never fails to emulate whatever feelings Yashiro and Yoneda Kou wanted to convey in the manga. It’s no wonder that Waccha’s Doumeki fell hard for Shingaki’s Yashiro. His Yashiro is easily one of the best and most iconic performances of the BLCD world of all time. Did you know that Saezuru's BLCDs almost always place 2nd in chil-chil's awards and that Shingaki is always in the top ten? We have to stan! 😩 If they didn’t bring him in to do Yashiro for the movie, then I’m sure that there would’ve been protests. You just have to give it to Shingaki Tarusuke and Okitsu for handling these types of emotional roles. Side note, isn’t it funny how Nanahara’s always chasing Yashiro’s ass considering that Okitsu has never topped Shingaki so far? 😂 Speaking of emotional roles, I just want to remind everyone that Shingaki and Okitsu did team up for Life Senjou. *war flashbacks*

As for Hatano Wataru—this is how it’s done, boys! Waccha is one of our gen 1 whale lords that can go even lower without ever sounding flat. I don’t know how he does it and which part of his respiratory system he uses to do it, but despite how low pitched his Doumeki is, it still has a sharpness to it that keeps his voice clear and light! Waccha really has such a broad range. His Fuwa-san in Memento Scarlet and Doumeki here are almost like polar opposites in pitch and tone. Ugh. Veterans. It’s kind of funny knowing that both Shingaki and SatoTaku is in this BLCD as well considering what went down in Kanawanu Koi and Memento Scarlet. 😂 

The rest of the cast also delivered. Mind you, Saezuru has a lot of cast members, but majority of them are veterans. Volume 6 has almost all of the cast of the series present sans Ryuuzaki (Miyake Kenta), Kuga (Ono Yuuki), and Kurobane-san (Kanehira Yamamoto). KUROBANE-SANNNNN 😭😭😭. I lost it when Misumi-san called his name out when he visited his grave. The sheer emotion Ookawa Tooru poured into that one line—THAT HIRATA MOTHERFUCKER GOT WHAT HE DESERVED. Sasuga veteran-sama. No expense was spared for the voice work and sound direction as it should be.

I know I said that I wouldn’t make a review for Saezuru, but since Hirata’s case has been wrapped up, I think that it was about high time everybody got the recognition that they deserve (especially Shingaki and Waccha). Man, I just love Yoneda Kou and Saezuru in general. I know a lot of people feel that it’s too dragged out and some already find it boring, but Saezuru’s just hits different for me. The beauty, tragedy, and madness makes this work so captivating to me that I will never tire of waiting for the next chapters to come out. Only Yoneda Kou knows how this will end, but I’m sure as hell that I’m sticking around to see it. 

It goes without saying that I highly recommend everyone to listen to 6 and Saezuru as whole especially if you’re a fan. Despite how complex the dialogue is, catching up with the BLCD is easy. Plus, there aren’t any major additions and cut outs from the original dialogues. If you haven’t read the manga, but are interested in it, I would suggest listening to the BLCD while you’re at it because it helps you distinguish between the characters (since the VAs voices are distinct from one another). If you want more serious yakuza/police BLCDs, then give Yoneda Kou’s Don’t Stay Gold (Yasumoto Hiroki x Ono Yuuki) and NightS (Ono Yuuki x Nojima Hirofumi) and drum roll please...Natsume Kazuki’s MODS (Yashiro Taku x Saitou Souma) and Nights Before Night (Ono Yuuki & Morikawa Toshiyuki x Nojima Hirofumi) a try! WAIT. ARE YOU TELLING ME ONO YUUKI IS IN ALL OF THOSE AND THAT NIGHTS AND NIGHTS BEFORE NIGHT HAD THE SAME CASTING???? ARE YOU A BANCHOU, SIR?!

you were azuma’s last client before he decided to audition for the winter troupe, but, besides being the last one, something about you was enticing to him. after the audition, he was determined to find you again

azuma is a man that has so much charm. his words are like honey and he can easily have you under his trance. you’ll find yourself falling for him, but azuma is the one to confess to you first

he’s such an affectionate man and is not afraid to show you his love, regardless of location and who’s around. he loves to tease you in any way that he can. azuma likes to have you close, so at least one of his hands is making contact with you

also, he’s basically the skincare god and is super doting. he cares for you with such tenderness and wants you to be your very best

kazunari

he has this thing about him that makes you wanna get closer, which is exactly what you did. it’s kinda intimidating since he’s known for creating relationships that could potentially be shallow

no worries bc after he spends time with his troupe, he realizes he wants more. he wants a meaningful relationship and you’re the perfect person since you’ve been by his side for the longest time. i feel like with kazunari you’d be the one confessing, but, thankfully, he happily accepts your feelings

kazunari is the best at picking out date ideas. all of his dates are super fun like you will have the time of your life. like study dates are boring but he somehow makes it exciting??

he’s also a big goofball and loves to randomly give you big bear hugs. if you feel a little blue, kazunari can almost instantly tell. he pretty much dedicated himself to learning who you are, so he knows exactly how to cheer you up

you would see him at his workplace and fell for his princely-persona. he’s mature, calm, and kind like how could you not like him? despite his demeanor, he has no interest in dating and has turned you down

but this is a man that’s almost near perfect. how does a person let that go? give it 2-3 more asks and he’ll admire the persistence and accept. in the beginning, he’s very professional, but often excused himself. over time, he’ll start showing you who he really is: a giant dork that’s obsessed with video games

so you’ve met the real itaru and he’s less princely and more,,, relaxed?? like he doesn’t make huge romantic gestures and shower you with rose petals but still shows his love in his own way. cuddle sessions with itaru are basically you on his lap (chest to chest or your back to his chest) and his arms around your waist, playing a game. but you can’t deny he’s pretty comfortable

also, you became his lucky gacha charm and he often wakes you up in the middle of the night to help him with pulls. when you’re pulling, he kinda latches his body onto yours to watch, but the thing is that when you’re finished, he stays that way. since it’s the middle of the night and you basically have a heated pillow, you just fall asleep in his arms

like he’ll think of you as the most perfect triangle and then realize he wants something more. it’s really hard to say no to misumi and when you accepted his feelings he did a backflip and tightly hugged you

(Can be headcannon)     this isn't a "least fav" so much as "it makes me sad" but if either of them showed any sign of not being interested anymore the other is more likely to give up then push anything. sort of like "it was bound to happen, so i'll enjoy now until they drop me" or EVEN WORSE they think the other would be better off without them and pushes them away. so yeah the fact i can see one of these happening makes me sad.

If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?     they give off "everyone knows we're dating but us" energy but at the same time i feel like they'd acknowledge there's something and just not define it bc a) they don't need to (misumi) or b) they're too nervous to (kazu). in other words i think one day they are holding hands and misumi says "kazu? is this dating?" and kazu holds his breath before asking "do you want it to be?"

lol you thought there would just be 21 ANYWAY EXTRA 1: how do they spend breaks/vacation?    they'd travel a lot when they're older!! kazunari loves to travel and misumi would follow kazunari anywhere (also, new triangles!!) so they go somewhere new whenever they have the time. however i think eventually one or both of their future careers will take them anywhere and everywhere anyway, so their "ideal vacation" might turn into an evening in, cuddling and catching up (as if they didn't already send play-by-play updates over the phone of whatever they did during the day)

EXTRA 2: first date?     i don't they ever have an explicit first date, but if asked they'll cite the time they had a picnic in the park turned triangle hunt turned accidental dip in the duck pond. at least, kazunari will. misumi just tilts his head and wonders what you mean.

EXTRA 3: gifts?     IM FEELING REALLY CHEESY SO I'M MAKING THIS ABOUT ANNIVERSARY GIFTS they both end up getting each other jewelry (although kazu was really really nervous bc he wasn't sure if misumi would wear it). kazu gets misumi a bracelet (with triangles, of course although misumi only wears it sometimes because he doesn't want to lose it) and misumi gets kazu a pair of triangle earrings "so we can match!" and kazunari combusts at the implications

EXTRA 4: sharing clothes     THEY'RE ACTUALLY AROUND THE SAME SIZE (and tend to wear baggier stuff barring kazu's skinny jeans)... but they have completely different Styles so it's still really obvious when steal each other's stuff ahdjajdkaf. as cute as kazu would look in sumi's sweatshirt i think the much more likely scenario is kazu wrapping misumi in his jackets because this boy nEVER BRINGS HIS ANYWHERE anyway just. accidental shared wardrobe misukazu.

EXTRA 5: lake house au    consider: kazunari living in a house on the shore of a lake for a summer for Art Purposes (and a little bit for Dealing With Life purposes but he's not gonna admit that) and meets his lake neighbor misumi who kazu thinks might be a ghost or spirit for a while but he actually just lives further down the lake and misumi unknowingly helps kazu with his Life Issues and maybe they fall in love

New Colors

Ahhh thanks so much for requesting! :D I went with they couldn’t see a certain color/actually colorblind with this one, but I’m not colorblind, so I hope it’s ok > < Please do correct me on anything though!

Sorry it’s so short ;A; I think Itaru and Izumi would be pretty laid-back so once they realize they’re each other’s soulmates not terribly much will change. I started writing general IzuIta HCs so I had to stop LOL 😂 I’ll post those separately at some point :3 Hope you enjoy!

It happens gradually, colors they once couldn’t distinguish are visible

Itaru notices eventually as he realizes he’s seeing shades he never did before

Gains new favorite characters and game designs because of this

Izumi notices only because someone points out that she’s selecting between the two colors

Both struggle a bit trying to figure out who they might’ve met because they’ve met so many people on Veludo Way

Itaru’s pretty blase about it -curious, but not that bothered if he’s completely missed his soulmate because they’d likely cut in to his gaming time

Izumi, on the other hand, freaks out. What if they were just a passerby on the street? What if she never sees them again? When did she start seeing the color??? She can’t remember, oh gosh how long has it been since then????

But once both are aware of the change, they quickly figure out who their soulmate is

Helps that they have 5+ others in the company that can assist/point it out

Probably comes to light because of Citron or Sakuya tbh

Damage control with Masumi required. He is devastated. Izumi’s probably relieved though

Overall, probably not terribly different from canon interactions since they already live together and both have their own rooms (for now). They’re also already established adults with routines and livelihoods, so navigating that they’re both soulmates isn’t that disruptive to them or their pre-established dynamic

i’m conflicted about izumi bc on the one hand i like fleshed out female leads but on the other hand because i’m so different from her i find it hard to relate to the game sometimes

the anime is still not perfect but I like it for what it is

um i dont hate this particularly, but it annoys me how everyone ships the lead and co-lead (saku&masu, tenyuki, juban) because they have a good dynamic, like ??? yeah lol and?? but its harmless and stuff so in chill w it. only exception is tasuku and tsumu because they do have chemistry!! absolutely hinted at
