Wanted to highlight another YTer I watch, this time Amelie Doree.

She's covered a lot of VNs, many of which we haven't gotten, officially or otherwise, going into heavy details about their production, stories, themes and so on.

Many do get into adult/gory/more extreme content(with a warning for such at the start of each video), which may be shown but have the YT-unfriendly parts heavily blocked out as she describes them, so you don't have to worry about fully seeing what may be happening in some of them, if like some parts may make you squeamish(especially in ones like Dasaku).

DASAKU yeah dasaku goes hard as hell. Toboso's fucking great, I miss her so much. I think there's a fair amount of impact that's lost when not reading the backlog of Nightcord events because they do a great job of building up Mizuki's transness and her relations to others because of that, but such things can't be helped ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If I can be curious, what sort of gripes do you have with Mizu5? This event is probably going to be a two-parter with another event coming later, is there anything you'd like to see covered in that one? I'm genuinely curious to know :D

anyways for your question firstly I'm not a fan of just the way project sekai events are written in themselves, the lack of non character lines and short dialogues aren't something I enjoy very much as someone who cares more about immersion when reading vns (I know prsk isn't a vn but the events are styled as them), this can be pulled off well in cases like HEARTLOVEPOWERTEMPLE, Walk In The Sun, and REFLEXIA (those are some of my all time fav vns btw) along with many other vns I enjoy but prsk just handles it in a way that I'm not big on. Secondly I didn't like the build up or the climax in terms of showing Mizuki's fear, the anxiety was very watered down and didn't show the full extent of the horror of the situation, and third and finally, I think her interaction with Ena at the very end felt very odd? I dunno the last few lines just didn't really make sense to me and could've been worded better, specifically the ones about happiness growing inside people

If I had written it, I would've made it similar to Walk In The Sun, a vn that right from the get go has an underlying feeling of dread to it, but conceals it until our protag, Claire, Snaps, along with her interactions and thoughts on Jamie. As an example, here's 3 screen recordings of scenes that have a similar feeling to how I think they should've done Mizu5, CW for allusions to self-harm, loud noises, allusion to murder, WITS spoilers, and flashing lights under cut

A new rascal trio has risen... Zundamon is always such a good fit for a fun cheeky song like this. Also check out her other new song, a cozy ballad.

Mafumafu - Sakura Biyori and Time Machine (ft. Hatsune Miku, Ado)

Big fan of vsynth-human duets, and this has to be the most high-profile one of recent. The style is reminiscent of legendary producers like ryo's Melt or kemu's ballads. Mitchie M's hyperrealistic tuning goes great with Ado. The live version is cool too.

IRUMA - jigoku (ft. Hatsune Miku)

Not that new, but the intro to the single got on my radar and I ended up finding this. A math/prog rock style with emphasis on arpeggiated guitars reminiscent of Polyphia or Animals as Leaders, but this is the first time I've heard it with vsynths.

waienu - Tunnel Tonderu? (ft. Yuzuki Yukari)

Always nice to hear a long (5+ mins) Yukari song. Onn is a classic with softer songs like this.

UKAI, Luae - Legacy hero (ft. SeeU)

Song itself was released on a Korean producers collab album two months ago, but the PV was a nice watch. Strong, cool SeeU tuning.

kawauso - Time loop (ft. Hatsune Miku)

Solid Miku rock number. First time with this producer, looking forward to diving into their catalog.
