Fucked AU about Hetalia
So… Idk, this will be my first oficial post. And I just want to talk about the fucked up AU of humans Uk brothers + Sealand that I actually made for a WhatsApp chat roll with my friends…
A little bit of context: a few months ago, I made a chat about a hetalia in the Victorian era with humans Au, so in the chat I was Iggy and Peter. In short, it was about the aristocracy, there was drama, ball dances and those things; so I made a whole story to the UK brothers + Sealand you know, background, parents, I gave them names (you'll see what I'm talking about when I explain the Au) and the whole thing.
Once I gave you the context of the reason for this disease that I'm going to tell you, now I will start.
It all starts with the first cousins lord Aidan Florence Kirkland and lady Rosemary Kirkland, the great-grandparents of those with thick eyebrows. Well, simply and simply, their parents arranged marriage for them (like Ciel and Lizzie from Kurojitsuji). They got married, their only child is Abraham, Abraham married Clementine, the children of them are Diana, the older one and Adam. Diana falls in love with Mr. Murray, they get married and their son is Sean Darren Murray (Irland). Adam married lady Charlotte and their children are Alistair Guillaume Duncan Kirkland (Scotland), Liam Chandler Flynn Kirkland (Northern Ireland), Idwall Étienne Dylan Kirkland (Wales), Arthur Philippe Conor Kirkland (England), Peter Alexandre Lyon Kirkland (Sealand). So, Alistair is the older one, then Liam, who is one year younger than Alistair, but one year older than the twins, Wales and Arthur, they are three years older than Peter.
Being that the thick eyebrows are sons of Adam, the Duke of Richmond (yes I already know that title existed, but what did you expect, I'm so silly to invent a noble title).
And well, and the grandparent sends Arthur to organise a lavish ball dance for Peter's 18th birthday (Peter is his favourite grandson since he inherited his father's blue eyes and has much vigour, remember that in a chapter of hetalia they mentioned that Sealand was made of steel). And that’s it, the rest of the role was the ball dance with the other characters of hetalia, ah, yes Adam is gay, his father forced him to marry Lady Charlotte and the UK brothers inherited Charlotte's green eyes.
I have more headcanons about the Kirkland family, about how I developed them in the Au, also as to create the personality of my Peter I base on the personality that Dorian Gray had at the beginning of the novel, I also have stories from the other characters like Francis, but I think it has been enough to read this thing for you... I have to finish a chemistry project and I writing this sin with two hours of sleep.
After this I won't go back to the internet after a month,
Adieu, little biscuits 🍪

Merlin Santana (March 14, 1976 – November 9, 2002) was an American actor and rapper. Beginning his career in the early 1990s, Santana was best known for his roles as Rudy Huxtable's boyfriend Stanley on The Cosby Show, Marcus Dixon on Getting By, Marcus Henry in Under One Roof and Romeo Santana on The WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show (1996 – 2002).
Born in Upper Manhattan, New York City to parents from the Dominican Republic, Santana's career in show business began with a push from his parents, who wanted to keep him off the tough streets of New York. He began his career at the age of three as an advertising model for a fast food chain. His first screen appearance was as an extra in the Woody Allen film, The Purple Rose of Cairo.
Acting Career
In 1991, Santana landed a recurring role on The Cosby Show as Stanley, the boyfriend of Rudy Huxtable and the rival of Rudy's friend Kenny (Deon Richmond). He was then cast as Marcus Dixon in the short-lived sitcom, Getting By, starring Cindy Williams and Telma Hopkins. Deon Richmond was cast as his brother Darren, due to their interaction on The Cosby Show.
In November 1994, Santana appeared on Sister, Sister as Joey, who falls in love with Tia and Tamera (Tia and Tamera Mowry) at Rocket Burger.
In 1995, Santana was cast as Marcus Henry in the short-lived CBS family drama Under One Roof, co-starring with James Earl Jones, Joe Morton and Vanessa Bell Calloway. Between 1996 and 1999, he played the role of Ohagi on Moesha.
In 1996, he landed the role of Romeo Santana on The Steve Harvey Show. In 2001, he played the role of Jermaine in the movie Flossin. In 2002, he appeared in the VH1 TV movie, Play'd: A Hip Hop Story with Toni Braxton. That same year, Santana had a role in the Eddie Murphy comedy Showtime. His last television acting role was on the UPN series, Half & Half, while his last film role was in the 2003 comedy film, The Blues with Deon Richmond.
Death
Shooting
On November 9, 2002, Santana was murdered while sitting in a car in Los Angeles. Santana and his friend, actor Brandon Adams, just left an acquaintance's home in the Crenshaw District when the suspect Damien Andre Gates fired the shot that entered through the trunk of the vehicle in which Santana was a passenger. The bullet penetrated the right-front passenger headrest and entered Santana's head, killing him.
On November 18, 2002, Santana, age 26, was buried at Saint Raymond's Cemetery in The Bronx borough of New York City.
Trial and Allegations against Gates
In 2003, Gates was convicted of the first-degree murder of Santana and the attempted murder of Adams and was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences plus 70 years in prison.
Brandon Douglas Bynes, the other suspect who was with Gates during the shooting, received a 23-year sentence after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon.
An LAPD officer involved in the case testified that Monique King, reportedly shooter Gates's girlfriend, only aged 15 at the time, falsely claimed that Santana made sexual advances towards her which prompted the Gates' and Bynes' attack.

Detective Comics Annual (vol. 1) #8: Questions Multiply the Mystery
Read Date: December 31, 2022 Cover Date: July 1995 ● Writer: Chuck Dixon ● Penciler: Kieron Dwyer ● Inker: Kieron Dwyer ● Colorist: Richmond Lewis ● Letterer: Albert DeGuzman ● Editor: Darren Vincenzo ◦ Scott Peterson ●
**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers
Reactions As I Read: ● this is (if I remember correctly) my first time reading the Riddler in comics! ● (btw, Cory Michael Smith is fabulous as Nygma in Gotham. Aaaand, I have only two degrees of separation from him thanks to a cousin who taught some of the classes where he went to college!) ● (pg 4) wow that scowl of Riddler's is intense! ● oh, it's spelled "Nigma" here ● I like the sepia-toned flashback panels ● (pg 9) ohhh, Eddie admits to cheating. I thought he disliked being accused of that. But I only know him from non-comic book sources, so… ● (pg 10) at least the poor kid who was getting bullied before gets a bit of a break. ● Brian T. Zer = brain teaser. cute ● (pg 17) the tiny parachutes! 💙 ● "Why did the cottage go on a diet?" - hmm… I dunno ● "When's the best time to go to the dentist?" - 2:30 (tooth hurty) ● "What day do soldiers hate the most?" - uh… March fourth? ● riddle 1 - ah, to be a lighthouse (I was right on the other two) ● (pg 20) oo, nice entrance by B-man ● I love the inking and color styles; makes the art feel very noir ● I bet Bruce Wayne is missed at this fundraiser ● … how else does one pronounce "banquet"?
● Query and Echo are having so much fun. I kind of love them. ● (pg 48) Yo-Yo Ma gets a mention! (wrong instrument, though) ● (pg 52) ahhh, I wondered why they'd let him keep his clothes in Arkham! It was a delusion. ● 👏👏👏
Synopsis: The Riddler, occupying an observation room at Arkham Asylum, expresses his annoyance with the inept psychiatrists' repeated attempts to pierce his psyche, and decides to give them what they want: the story of his life, how he became a criminal, and why he repeatedly opposes Batman.
As a child, Edward was a cipher, ignored by even the playground bullies at his school. Hungry for attention (especially with ignorant, unloving parents), the young Edward began his "career" in the sixth grade by cheating at a solve-the-puzzle contest - by sneaking into the school the night before the contest, he was able to practice solving the puzzle, and easily won the contest. Edward's fame proved to be fleeting, however, and the young boy realized that to keep the attention he so craved, he had to turn to his true talent: cheating.
After graduating, Edward became a deliveryman, a job he found extremely tedious. Out of boredom and greed, he began stealing from his clients, but even this could not satisfy his ego. Eventually, he donned the alias of "the Riddler", and started sending riddles to the police foreshadowing his future crimes. The Riddler's early career was fraught with many difficulties, missteps, and a narrow escape from Batman, but nevertheless, he managed to accrue a respectable amount of loot and two loyal henchwomen named Query and Echo.
With Query and Echo, the Riddler came to the crowning caper of his early career: a raid on the Reservoir Street depository that completely misled the police and left him with two million dollars. Once again, Batman narrowly failed to capture him, giving the Riddler a more impressive reputation than ever. Now overconfident, the Riddler planned an even bigger caper: stealing a set of Stradivarius violins from both a private collector and a public opera. Unfortunately, Batman quickly put an end to this caper, handing the Riddler his first unqualified defeat.
As he recounts his humiliation at Batman's hands, the present-day Riddler begins to have a meltdown. In a fit of psychosis, he breaks the one-way glass between him and his doctors, only to realize that his doctors had left on lunch break; he had been telling his life's story to thin air all along. Orderlies rush in and subdue him, leaving the Riddler near-catatonic and muttering "no one there…" on an endless loop.

Ted Lasso Fanfic Challenge 2023 - February
February’s Challenge: Mystery Characters
The Rules: There are none, EXCEPT that your piece must feature at least one character we know about, but haven’t met yet in canon. There are a lot of family members to choose from, such as Roy’s sister, Nate’s niece, and Colin’s grandmother. As of this posting, we have seen photos of Mrs. Lasso but don’t ‘know’ her yet, so I’m declaring her up for grabs for now. So are a lot of other mothers and fathers! Or if you’re feeling ambitious, take a look at one of the characters name-dropped in anecdotes from the past, people like Ronnie Fouch, Doug Stashwick, or Joanna Wellington. Where you go after that is up to you - flesh out the story we’ve already heard, or invent one all your own. What is Darren really like, and how did he and Sassy end up together? Did Keeley’s mother raise her alone, or was her father also in the picture? Write from the mystery character’s point of view! Or tell a story set in the present day. What if Nate’s niece was the girl on Phoebe’s football team? What if Roy’s sister was the doctor who treated Sharon? What would the people of AFC Richmond think of Beard’s mother? Is Tish a fraud? How did Ted really feel about Mr. Welton?
Any character, any setting, any premise - anything goes! I’m calling it February’s challenge, but there is absolutely no deadline. And no word limit either - make it a drabble or a one-shot, or the longest multi-chapter you’ve ever written. (I can’t claim to need new things to read these days, but I love multi-chapters all the same). It doesn’t even need to be fic - I’d be thrilled if any of these challenges inspired a gifset or some other form of fanart!
Want to participate but aren’t able to write something at the moment? That’s fine too! Just describe what you’d like to write about for this month’s challenge. I’m curious what ideas all of you have in your heads!
Please add your fic to the AO3 collection HERE, and tag it with Ted Lasso Fanfic Challenge anywhere else you post!
Feel free to check out any of my prompts if you’re looking for inspiration. I hope to create a Masterpost with all of them in one place soon!
Bonus Challenge: Feel like setting an additional challenge for yourself? Send me an Ask and I’ll give you a character/setting/premise!
Good luck!

AFL suspends use of disability zone by TV networks after footy fans air their concerns
The AFL has suspended TV networks' use of an area marked as a wheelchair space for the remainder of this footy round, after a father and son had trouble finding appropriate seating at last night's game. Darren Cunningham and his son James, who both use wheelchairs, bought level four general admission tickets for Thursday night's Richmond-Carlton match.
Mr Cunningham said he and his son were planning to sit in a designated wheelchair zone just behind the Olympic Stand seats they had paid for.
He said they had done this multiple times in the past, preferring this arrangement over wheelchair access seating on lower levels.

The Return of Cinema Subterrain’s March Screening: THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Videos about toys and moral panics!
Cinema Subterrain was a free monthly microcinema held in the basement of L.A. Mood Comics and Games’ Richmond Street location, which ran from 2004-2006.
17 years later, we’ve brought it back!
For those who are not familiar, Cinema Subterrain is totally free to all! Heckling, jokes and talking during the screenings are wholly encouraged! Bring your own snacks and beverages! Bring some to share! In its original run, Cinema Subterrain had a potluck / social gathering vibe - we want to keep that feeling alive with its return!
The full Winter / Spring Schedule is live!
For more info on upcoming screenings and schedule, visit:
www.tumblr.com/cinemasubterrain
Our March Screening promises to be one of our most eclectic!
The Return Of Cinema Subterrain Presents: THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!! (A Screening of Videos about Toys and Moral Panics!)
Violence! Depravity! Think of the Children!
Moral panics are part of the fabric of culture, a reaction of an older generation when emergent media and cultural forms threaten to disrupt the moral order: Cinema,Jazz, Comic Books, Rock n’ Roll, VIdeogames! All have faced their moment where parents, religious groups and politicians took aim and claimed that impressionable youth were going to be compromised and corrupted!
This month’s screening looks at moral panics through the lens of toys - and features newsreels, artist projects, and religious propaganda. Are toys too violent? Are they the tools of the devil? Remember the great Cabbage Patch Kids Riot of 1983? All these questions and many more will be asked! Some will be answered! And these answers will (hopefully) amuse, delight and elicit laughter and mockery!
Newsreel Highlights from the screening include: Lego! Laser Tag! Mr. Potatohead! Capt Power! Ninja Turtles! More!
Featured videos include:
Action Man: Battlefield Casualties. (2015) 3 mins. Darren Cullen, aka Spelling Mistakes Cost Lives.
A series of short satirical commercials, showing us what happens to Action Man (The UK version of Gi Joe), after the battle is over. Created by British Artist and Culture Jammer Darren Cullen, commissioned by UK organization Veterans for Peace, with narration by Matt Berry!
Barbie Liberation Organization: Operation Newspeak (1992) 28 mins.
The newsreel / manifesto video created in 1992 by the Barbie Liberation Organization artist group, famous for swapping out the voice boxes between Teen Talk Barbie and talking Gi Joe Dolls of the era, which was a critical response to gendered stereotypes in the toy industry.
Deception of a Generation. (1984) 79 mins.
Is My Little Pony using witchcraft to entice young girls? Are He-Man and Voltron part of the Devil’s strategy to corrupt the minds of young boys? Two American evangelicals discuss this, and much more in Deception of Generation. Released directly to VHS in 1984, this video undoubtedly led to some poor kids having their parents throw out and / or burn their dolls and action figures.

Oh i wholeheartedly agree! I’ve always thought that beard’s character is really Really fueled by self hatred in some form. even before the reveal of prison and what he had done to ted, beard after hours is rife with displays of loneliness, self-hatred, and a slew of mental health struggles. i think beard needs people, and I think that’s something he’s well aware of needing. After all, he’s someone who has expressed quick, frequent relationships. He found jane within a MONTH of being in Richmond…after he already joined a chess club. like. he immediately found a consistent group of people to be around, and that ended up with him meeting jane.
Take a look at beard after hours! when his hallucinations begin, what is the FIRST thing beard does? he leaves the solitude of his flat and seeks a familiar place out where he knows he wouldn’t be alone. Sure, he’d be sitting alone and by himself, but he wouldn’t be closed off from people. second time his hallucinations happen? he’s separated himself from the trio…literally isolating himself. And that in turns leads him to flirt with the redhead, and follow her back to her flat. Then of course he’s chased out, where he’s alone once more. While alone he’s kicked off a bus, denied help at a hotel, and brutally attacked. It’s also interesting to note that again his hallucinations occurred when he was alone. One against three….telling him that he doesn’t accept the love and support from the people around him. (Also when the buff boyfriend whose name I think is Darren saves him, the lyrics “now im no longer alone” start playing)
Beard NEEDS people. Like and it’s so clear HE KNOWS THAT. not only does he hate who he is when he’s alone, but that’s when the voices are the most quiet. People are distractions to him, sometimes. “In all my happiest memories, im single. That troubles me.” He WANTS to love and be loved. brendan has called beard a romantic at heart. But he chooses the wrong people. he gets dumped, he got his heart broken by a cruise ship dancer so badly that he almost swore off all dancers, but then he kept going out with them).
beard has never liked himself. Brendan said he’s been struggling with self love issues, and probably has all his life. A conservative mother, a tough home, sex work in college, drug addiction, abusive relationships, a stint in prison, etc etc etc. he hates himself. And he knows that. I’ve talked a little about how he and ted, while best friends, have a weird power dynamic that has definitely colored how beard views other relationships. I mean like. You betray one person and then devote your entire life to them and become their assistant for 15 years. Like. Beard is DEPENDENT on him. And then jane. And anyone who can help him. Not be him. “I’m under no illusions that [jane] can solve what ails me, but when im with her the world just feels…more interesting.” Like man that SCREAMS of depression. and he thinks HES the problem!!! Asking Mary if he had a problem, the texts reveal that he calls jane reasonable, etc.
Basically beard has a very very inconsistent self image. Extremely inconsistent. he hates himself and he’s filled to the brim with trauma and pain. And he seeks jane out bc,,, well. She makes his life interesting.
I’ve been ruminating on this a lot and i really really think beard’s ending would’ve been best if he remained in Richmond, but for himself. No ted, no jane. Hell. I’m not even entirely sure if he should stay a coach, but that’s another thing. beard has hallucinations, depression, displays of anxiety, suicidal thoughts, trauma, etc etc etc. he needs to learn how to heal and how to love himself for like. The first time in the world
also like. i do think about it a lot.
beard being told via hallucinations that he’d need a pep talk to kill himself………and then it was a pep talk by ted to get him to forgive nate (and himself)….
#this doesn’t make sense and doesn’t encapsulate all my thoughts lmao#sorry to all but i have way more thoughts about beard#beard hates himself and has a very inconsistent sense of self.#his self esteem is BELOW TERRIBLEEEEE.
