Conservative general election candidate Darren Millar has been found to have links to pastors accused of homophobia and Islamophobia. Millar, currently a member of the Welsh Parliament, has been selected by the Conservative Party as its parliamentary candidate for the new seat of Clwyd North, in North Wales. According to the BBC, Millar has in the past attracted criticism for associating with Yang Tuck Yoong, a senior pastor in the Pentecostal Cornerstone Community Church who has described homosexuality as an “abomination” and a “sin”.

Let me give this show some attention since why not.
Here's a fairly solid amount of all the different kinds of media that I think both can fit well in and could share the same universe as Bede Blake & Robert Butler's Creeped Out, which you can both read and see below for yourself:
First off, here's the episodes from both seasons that are all set in the same universe as each other in this "Verse" —
Season 1
— Slapstick, Trolled, A Boy Called Red, Kindlesticks, Shed No Fear and Side Show 1 & 2
Season 2
— Itchy, The Many Place, The Unfortunate Five, No Filter, The Takedown & Splinta Claws
Eight downer endings and four good endings.
Second, now here's the actual universe —
• Dan Angel & Billy Brown's R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series
— Every episode of the entire series except Red Eye, Poof De Fromage, Bad Egg, Mrs. Worthington and Lotsa Luck
• Jeff Kline's Transformers Prime & Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising
• Dan Mandel & Chris Pearson's Dan Vs.
• Dan Cross & David Hoge's Pair Of Kings
• Amy Heckerling's Fast Times At Ridgemont High & Clueless (1995)
• David Mirkin's Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
• Lloyd Goldfine's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003)
• Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories
— Every episode of the entire series except Guilt Trip and Family Dog
• Michael Lehmann's Heathers (1988)
• Stephen Herek's Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead (1991)
• Darren Stein's Jawbreaker (1999)
• Harry Elfont & Deborah Kaplan's Josie and the Pussycats (2001)
• Roberto Aguirre-Sarcasa's Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina (Netflix)
• Alfred Gough & Miles Millar's Wednesday (Netflix)
• Edgar Wright's Don't (Fake Trailer)
• Rob Zombie's Werewolf Women Of The S.S. (Fake Trailer)
• Eli Roth's Thanksgiving (Fake Trailer & 2023 film)
• Neil Gaiman's Good Omens (TV Series)
• Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service
• Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys (1987)
• Stephen Chow's Shaolin Soccer
• New Line Cinema's Critters (1 & 2)
• Joe Dante's The 'Burbs (1988)
• Gil Kenan's A Boy Called Christmas (2021)
and
• Michael Dougherty's Trick r Treat & Krampus

Much needed win as North End overcome Terriers
A very much needed win for Ryan Lowe and for North End as the Lilywhites ran out 3-1 winners at the John Smiths Stadium against Huddersfield Town. Goal form Alan Browne, Will Keane and Ben Whiteman saw North End home against a very mediocre home side. It was a much improved performance from the boys even though we did fall into the trap of sitting back for the first twenty minutes of the second half. An early strike from Browne set the tone and when Keane made it two North End looked in complete control of the game. After the break we sat back a little inviting the hosts on and sure enough they pulled a goal back but it was not enough as a Ben Whiteman strike was enough to give North End all three points and send the travelling 1,176 hope much happier than of late.
North End made two changes from the side that drew at Norwich on Saturday with Will Keane and Duane Holmes coming in for Andrew Hughes and Ali McCann. North End set off like they really meant business and had two penalty shouts in the opening minutes of the game but with three minutes on the clock Holmes put a beautiful left foot cross in an the Skipper header home into the far corner. Browne and Whiteman had good chances as Millar caused mayhem down the Preston left. With just under ten minutes to the break Millar set off on a run down the left and played a superb ball right into the path of Keane and the striker made no mistake slotting the ball through the legs of Chris Maxwell. It was no more than North End deserved and they went in at the break having played the best half of football for some considerable time.
No changes for North End at the break but a triple substitution from Darren Moore as he tried to get his side back in the game. North End reverted into their containing mode at the start of the second half but were soon undone as Ward headed home to put the home side back into the game. Huddersfield pressed North End but midway through the second half North End put the game to bed. A ball from the left was laid off by Holmes for Whiteman and the North End number four shot past Maxwell from the edge of the box and from that point on the game never looked in danger. North End really should have gone on to win the game by a few more goals but we couldn`t convert anything late in the game and registered a very comfortable victory and a much needed boost for all involved at the club.
So North End gain the much needed win after just one point from the previous twelve on offer. It has to be said that the hosts didn`t offer a lot on the night but North End attacked like we know they can in the first half and it was so refreshing to see. It buys some time for the manager after the pressure was building and I think we would have all taken four points from the two away games at Norwich and Huddersfield. Job done this week then but I so wish we would play to our strengths every week which means attacking football and a positive attitude. I guess some positivity has returned after this weeks results but the manager needs a decent win, or at least performance, at home to Watford on Saturday to build on the good work done on the road. A much better performance but still plenty of room for improvement.

Mark Drakeford losing his temper with RT Davies today. Welsh Govt spox was unrepentant:
"We are deeply concerned about the position the UK government has put us in and the eye watering scale of cuts facing public services in Wales. The first minister was reflecting the anger of people in Wales who are now having to pay for the mistakes made by the UK government."
Drakeford can often be quite snippy - tbh if I had to deal with the likes of Darren Millar and RT on the daily I probably would be too - but I don’t think a senior Welsh Govt minister has lost it this bad since Leighton Andrews called Aled ap Dafydd a disgrace to the BBC!
Personally, I always loved Carwyn’s heaving put upon sigh, like it was beneath his dignity to even have to respond to the opposition. xD

Honestly, DC-Discovery should get the people who were behind the animated DC extended universe to be their "Kevin Feige," so to speak. I feel like that should have always been the idea, though maybe they did attempt that before/are trying that now.
Another idea though a lot of people will probably hate it, but I'm throwing it out there, anyway, since they're looking at Kevin Berlanti, who created the Arrowverse is some of the Smallville showrunners. One, because they clearly know the Superman mythology, in having made Smallville. But also because Smallville was before the MCU and the Arrowverse and did crossover episodes with other DC heroes, so the showrunners clearly know things about the other characters and comics, too. Also, apparently before they made Smallville, they were actually going to make a show about Batman. But then the WB told them not to, in wanting to possibly make a movie based on him (which I guess they eventually did with Batman Begins?), so they made a show about Superman instead, with Smallville. But this means they clearly know Batman, too. Maybe Alfred Gough III is an idea? He was with the show for seven seasons, as was Miles Kamunge Millar. But I guess Millar later tried to sue the WB, because he claimed that Warner Bros. failed to "maximize profits" in marketing Smallville, misrepresented production costs and sold the show to foreign markets at "well below the value of the series"? So NOT him, I guess. LOL. Wait. I was thinking just Millar attempted to sue and failed. Apparently Gough did, too. So I guess if they DC-Discovery thought about Smallville at all which they won't, it might have to be the showrunners for season eight and on: Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson?
But really, we all know they won't touch the Smallville idea with a ten-foot pole. And that's probably for the best. ^_^' Especially with all that I know now.
#also i love how david nutter directed the pilot of smallville. who of course directed a lot of my buffyverse stuff#also i guess the later smallville showrunners became shadowhunters showrunnters... and man do i wish i liked shadowhunters#i love the books the show's based on. but not the show itself. though i hear it gets better in s2. maybe i should give it another shot...

hello! I'm wondering if you know of any books about medieval views on death, the supernatural, burial, witchcraft/witches, & other morbid things along that line which you would recommend?
Hello! for books on witchcraft I’d recommend Witch Craze, The Witch in the Western Imagination, and Oedipus and the Devil by Lyndal Roper (my queen); and Witchcraft, the Devil, and Emotions in Early Modern England by Charlotte-Rose Millar. Birth, marriage, and death by David Cressy goes into rituals relating to death and burial; also The Supernatural in Tudor and Stuart England by Darren Oldridge and History and the Supernatural in Medieval England by C. S. Watkins are good places to start 💕
