Ultraman Arcade in China Updates

Firstly,

UFF Ver 3 for Blazar would still be a thing despite the series not really introducing any new characters. But judging from the cards, it looks like it'll be commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Tiga Movie

So we'll probably see Camerra, Darramb and Hudra as new playable characters

Secondly,

A new arcade game has been teased known as "奥特曼光辉共斗" or roughly translated to: Ultraman Shining Unite

And its pointed out here in the promo that all UFF cards can be reused in this game as well

Lastly,

Alongside Shining Unite, they're also launching a seperate arcade for the Anime/Manga versions

So I suppose all those designs that were previous come up for the mobile game Be:Ultra would eventually also show up here

And as seen in both promo, both are officially licensed by TsuPro

ULTRAMAN Suit Another Universe: Tiga Edition

Prologue

In recent months in the US, China, Germany as Italy, there have been incidents of people turning into monsters and committing mass murder. Surveillance of the scenes shows a woman and two men dressed in black. Seiji pursues them when they appear in Japan, but as he pursues a mysterious Black ULTRAMAN Suit appears and swiftly defeats him.

Chapter 1

The woman Seiji had been chasing approaches a man at a restaurant, whispers in his ear, and he suddenly becomes a monster. Shinjiro and Moroboshi are investigating a strange gravity fluctuation in the Bay Area and come across the scene, as the monster has killed and eaten people. SEVEN swiftly defeats it, and it reverts to the human, who mutters "One person isn't enough" before expiring.

Shinjiro and Moroboshi then encounter a mysterious 3-coloured ULTRAMAN standing over Seiji. ULTRAMAN clashes with the mysterious ULTRAMAN, whose suit changes colour and shape before Shinjiro is forced to escape.

The 3-Coloured ULTRAMAN meets with a young woman, Yuzare, and disengages his suit to reveal a young man, Daigo. The two are fighting to prevent a dark seal from breaking.

Chapter 2

Edo identifies the monster SEVEN defeated as Zoiger, a species that ruled earth 30 million years ago. Endo and Kurata find the man was a serial killer named Kuriki, before Moroboshi forcibly closes their investigation.

The black robed trio are seeking a new sacrifice for their ritual, as SEVEN interrupted it by killing Zoiger. They choose a girl named Iwatsubo Kanae at the Giant of Light Memorial, who worships Ultraman, and killed her bullies, and teachers who pretended not to see, Yuzare, who has psychic visions and foresaw this, and Daigo come trying to prevent it.

When SSSP detect another gravity distortion there, Shinjiro and Moroboshi arrive, and are held off by the two men in robes, Darramb and Hudra. The trio then escape, ULTRAMAN and SEVEN pursue, but are blocked by the Black ULTRAMAN, who attacks them with gravitational attacks, before the 3-Coloured ULTRAMAN arrives.

Chapter 3

Daigo tries to stop the trio, but they manage to turn Kanae into another monster, Bagera. Shinjiro fights Bagera, and manages to learn of the fact Kanae was killing in his name. Daigo using his suit struggles with the Black ULTRAMAN.

Chapter 4

We learn Daigo and Yuzare's origin, they came from another world, following the robed trio to prevent them from breaking the dark seal. The force they were part of created their suit based on those of the warriors of this world, the Tricolour Individual Guard Armour, or, ULTRAMAN Suit TIGA, forming the team GUTS: Group of Ultraman TIGA Suit. The Zeperion energy used by the TIGA Suit does not exist on earth.

While Bagera was defeated, the ritual was completed, and at the centre of the pentagram made from the sacrifice sites, Shanghai, the Dark Pyramid rises the Black ULTRAMAN absorbed energy from it, becoming the ULTRAMAN Suit EVIL TIGA.

Chapter 5

Beasts such as Zoiger spill from the pyramid, unleashing hell upon Shanghai. The SSSP rush to Shanhai bringing Daigo and Yuzare, but Shinjiro wrestles with the fact Kanae became a murder in his name.

The Dark robed trio pray for the evil eyes to resurrect their evil god, Gatonothor. The leader, Cameara prays for this.

Chapter 6

After the Pyramid awakens, Carmeara, Darramb and Hudra became equipped in armour of their own resembling the ULTRAMAN Suit. The last thing they need is a giant eye, the teleporting Luboia Seijin.

The 4 Ultramen arrive in Shanghai, and start to fight.

Chapter 7

Gataonothor awakens, and Shanghai is swallowed in darkness.

The 4 Ultramen struggle against the 4 dark Ultras.

In the end, Gataonothor is repelled, and the villains are destroyed, but Yuzare dies. Daigo leaves.

Other info

In their own world Daigo was part of an Earth Star Guard, which Yuzare lead. They became isolated on this earth after sealing Gatonothor on their world, as it was destroyed. Cameara and he'd cohorts followed the work of Dagan, a villain they managed to stop unleashing Gatonothor. Yuzare lost her age in this world, going from about 20 to 8. Cameara, Darramb and Hudra were part of the Earth Star Guard, bit becae obsessed with the darkness after Dagan was stopped, Cameara especially after Daigo moved on from her to Yuzare. The 3 became statues in R'lyeh after Yuzare sealed Gatanothor. The wearer of EVIL TIGA, who isn't named, awakened the 3, but is native to this world. No clue how he got a Suit.

Lowkey upset but also happy that despite trigger getting a chance to flesh out the dark giants and out of all them, the only one to get actual development is the generic strong bad man, but at the same time, I genuinely started to care about him and would buy a Figuarts of him

darramb did get some neat stuff but i found it a bit hard to get into it myself bc of how vague the whole "our race of darkness" thing was. i guess also since he was connected to trigger as a whole that also made it weaker for me (compared to Ignis whose story may as well have been a completely different show)

it is kind of funny to me that they took these characters who were basically just generic shonen archetypes (the main villain flanked by The Strong One and The Smart One) and fleshed them out by... making them generic shonen archetypes but More

Official Full Body of the Dark Trio

Well now, the Trigger version of the Dark Trio are more detailed than the Trio in Tiga. I bet you Demonzoa/Demonothor in Trigger will be more detailed than the one from Tiga as well, if it'a gonna show up, that is.

Cool detailing on the entire body on Darramb and Hudra though, especially Camearra's body details. Love the gimmick that they added lipstick on her, though. It makes Trigger's version of Camearra more woman-like in her ultra form, rather than the one from Tiga.

Seems like I was right that Dargon isn't exactly on board with the whole plan

Especially after him seeing just how unhinged Carmilla was

Not to mention that Dargon in this scene was uncharacteristically 'contained' in contrast to earlier episodes which suggests that he's starting to doubt the cause of the Dark Giants

Dargon thus far seems to be the lesser of the three evils as his goal mainly lies on having a good fight with Trigger whom I suppose sees as a worthy rival cum friend somewhat, rather than being focused on a personal vendetta (for Carmilla) and getting the Eternity Core (for both Carmilla and Hudram)

Really neat to see the directors taking the idea of Darramb then being the only one that addresses Tiga as 'My friend' and spinning it to such a degree in a tribute series

Definitely loving this development thus far of a potential division brewing within the enemy faction itself and very interested to see just what would this lead to in the future

Ultraman Trigger June Scans 1/2

Finally proper scans

Getting straight into the action so quickly, I like where this is going already

Definitely digging Dargon's tanky design to bring out where Darramb's design failed

Tho not sure wtf is up with Hyudram's shoulder

Carmilla's face still looks pretty messy from a distance

Glad to see Trigger being powercreeped so early so that we can conceivably see Trigger Dark in like ep 8 or sth

But likely means that we can also possibly see AU Demonozoa as the final boss which means AU Gatanothor as the mid boss

Tho if that's the case, I really wonder if Trigger is gonna awaken something beyond Glitter if Glitter is gonna be awakened against AU Gatanothor cause its a New Gen series

My money's on some sort of fusion between Glitter and Dark

Damn who knew that two words from Darramb 25 years ago would have such an epic spin of a saga that we see here

Tho ngl, even tho the episode was pretty well done imo but I felt it could've been better of it was longer, or actually, this whole saga would've been better executed if it was longer to have Dargon actually managing to fight alongside them for some time before facing his inevitable end which would've definitely had a much greater impact

Some Thoughts for Episode 2 and the Trigger series in general

Now I know we're only 2 episodes in but while watching it, I couldn't help but remember the time while I was watching Tiga. And with that, brings some worries I have for the Trigger series before as I'm seeing the same pattern again.

Commentary aside cause I've already done it but looking at episode 2, seeing how Trigger interacted with Dargon and in episode 1 with Carmilla, as well as basically the leaks for the entire series recently, tbh I'm quite concerned, speaking from the outset of this series

And seeing the direction TsuPro is taking with this really worries me

Take for example this scene:

Really find the fact that Trigger isn't really engaging Dargon in conversation really limits the potential of character development in terms of ultras can go here

(Really feels like Dargon is basically talking to a wall here)

Like with Tiga as an example, yes he turned to the light but surely he wanted to help his then comrades, or daresay friends that were his fellow Dark Giants to also follow him. And I'm sure he tried to convince them to turn to the light and at the end, faced with a difficult decision, decided to seal them instead with a heavy heart instead of straight up just killing them as they were his friends

But he just straight up did in the Final Odyssey.

And here we see Trigger not even engaging Dargon in conversation here. Like if the history between Trigger and Dargon were the same as Darramb and Tiga, shouldn't Trigger attempt to still persuade Dargon to follow the path of light? As what Yuzare helped him 30 million years ago?

The fact that both Darramb and Dargon seems to be the closest to Tiga and Trigger respectively implied that they could still hope to listen, after a beatdown at least since the former pair both value strength above all else

But in this scene, now both Dargon and Trigger, or should I say Kengo are basically on completely different wavelengths, its as if I'm watching two parallel stories occurring at the same time even though it should be the same story

Kind of makes you wonder whats the point of Kengo being able to understand the language the Dark Giants are speaking if he's just responding in a way that he might as well just heard nothing but gibberish

But of course we can reason away Tiga's actions in Final Odyssey as that only the body of Tiga was used by Daigo back then, which was why he did what he did. And you could argue the same with Trigger.

However, it still stands that this still makes the interactions between the Dark Giants and Trigger, whom have a rich history together, be watered down to the Dark Giants interacting with a human who tbh, has literally no personal relationship with them and really no real business being where he is (other than the plot settings 'forcing' him to be)

Basically why bother building such a rich history if you aren't even gonna utilise it to create a good story that builds upon it?

Because on the other hand, given such a rich history, I can totally see Trigger convincing Dargon to join him after a beatdown (not totally yet of course), then Hudram, and because Carmilla was especially hurt, takes longer for her to do so and it could've concluded with her basically becoming some Demonozoa like being to face off against Trigger, Dargon and Hudram. And conclude with Trigger showing her the power of light (via Glitter Eternal) and saving her at the last minute as she loses her senses by the power of darkness and realises the error of her ways through the help of her lover and her 2 friends etc

It all just make it seem that TsuPro is gonna end up sacrificing yet another interesting story potential all for the sake of having humans be relevant to the story and instead just occupying the episodes with unrelated nonsense like Z, Ultraman, Ribut and Zero showing up in Trigger for no real reason in canon as leaked recently

(Ok maybe not Ribut cause he's recruiting for the Ultra League which still could've worked if Trigger was 'actually' here)

It just incredibly worries me that we may not be seeing such drama given the plethora of existing settings that could be crafted to make such a story that is truly unique to Trigger

Tho I still am crossing my fingers that Trigger just has a shaky start and Trigger (NOT Kengo) actually interacts with the Dark Giants as he should given their history together

And besides, I gosh darn hope the fact that Kengo has the ability to understand the Dark Giants will come into play eventually even tho its really shaky in that department rn

I'm actually surprised not many caught this immediately but notice Power type intro is underwater

This is a reference to when Tiga gained his Tornado form after absorbing Darramb's power and the battle took place underwater

Now as to whether or not did Trigger gained his power type against Dargon in the same fashion is still up to debate cause tbh I don't even think he gained a tornado or blast form as 'intermediate forms'

More like he simply just straight up sealed his Dark Form and assumed forms purely based on Carmilla, Dargon and Hyudram only

As to why do I think so? Because my premise is that the Dark Giants will attempt to reawaken Trigger Dark within Trigger cause they know it'll make him go berserk due to the internal conflict it'll cause

This means that I suspect that Trigger literally gained Power Type in its entirety from Dargon and Sky Type from Hyudram with Multi-Type from Carmilla rather than like Tiga where it's a process of further 'cleansing' his Dark Form. And this would meant that he sealed his Dark Form entirely which would form the impetus for its reawakening in the future as his super form once he managed to get it under control, similar to Orb with TB

Also this is a reasonable way to simply avoid talking about Trigger having a Tornado and Blast form altogether cause I don't think TsuPro has enough money to do that, especially since even for Tiga, his Tornado and Blast forms are literally irrelevant even for him

The Master Swordsman's End

SSSS.Dynazenon: Gagula continues to rampage while Kaiser GridKnight lies defeated. 2nd has no more Fixer Beams, but tries to ease Gauma's pain. As Kaiser GridKnight struggles to stand and fight, Koyomi is running. Juuga, Mujina and Onija are surprised there's another kaiju, and try to use Instance Domination only to realise it's Sizumu, and they call out, wanting to fight more, and Gagula consumes them, evolving. Gauma opens his eyes, but can tell he hasn't got long, he apologises to Yomogi and Yume for getting them involved in his Battle, Yomogi says it's only because of him they've made bonds, he thanks them and asks that they thank Koyomi too. Gagula breaks Kaiser GridKnight into constituent parts, Yomogi and Yume rush for DynaWing and DynaSoldier, Chise leaps off her train, DynaStriker lands in front of Koyomi. Gauma starts pulling himself up, intending to help finish Gagula to give his friends a future, and we see like Koyomi, Yomogi now has a scar similar to Gauma's. He thinks he's missed his chance with Yume, and leaps into DynaSoldier. As GridKnight struggles, DynaStriker rolls in, Mujina from inside angrily yells at Koyomi for touching her again. Yume falls, also getting a scar, and tells Kano she'll make it, DynaSoldier appearing to get her there. Chise sees Goldburn and calls out, he wakes up, and flies into shield mode to protect GridKnight, then DynaSoldier Wing Combine leaps in, and DynaDiver joins the fight Gauma piloting with help from 2nd. He apologises to the confused Koyomi, and tells Knight he'll help if he likes it or not. They form Kaiser GridKnight and fight. Onija declares his goal to destroy humanity, Yomogi rejects that, Juuga talks up how important Gauma is, which Gauma dismisses, Mujina claims Koyomi caused her to realise Kaiju was all she had, he can only apologise. Yomogi and Yune call out to Suzumu, but he refuses to respond. As Gagula overpowers them with a blast, Yomogi detaches Dynamic Cannon to try Instance Domination again as he flies DynaSoldier at Gagula. He gets a definite reaction, causing Gagula to point it Blast away from Kaiser GridKnight. They split, Dynazenon launching all it has at Gagula, followed by Goldburn attaching as wings to GridKnight, flying past Gaguka and wrecking the back, before riding DynaRex. Sizumu stays silent as Onija, Juuga and Mujina declares their hatred of the "false kaiju", attacking and met by the Grid Rex Roar, Gagula loses the clas and the heroes fly in to finish things. The Eugenecists die, Onija seemingly glad to die again, Mujina wondering if it's for the best, Juuga sure kaiju will have their day, Sizumu still silent. Gauma collapses, dying as he is sad he never met her, but glad he met his friends, understanding why he was entrusted Dynazenon. Chise watches everyone descend fro the remains of DynaRex, except Gauma.

3 months later, Yomogi and Yume walk together, meeting under the bridge Gauma lived with everyone, Koyomi has changed his look and is working, a healed Goldburn is waiting. Yomogi and Yume remember Gauma always said 3 things must be kept, Love and Promises, but don't know the third. Knight and 2nd prepare warp out of this world, taking Goldburn and the inert form of DynaRex with them, as the gang wave, Chise calls after the best friend she ever had, and the group vanish into Hyper World. Yomogi and Yume head to some planned meeting. Chise and Koyomi stand outside Chise's school, under repair, and it turns out Inamoto-san's husband got Koyomi his job, he insists she's not an ex but a friend, Chise now has her dragon tattoo uncovered. At the school festival Mei's photos include ones of Yume, who needs to do something. Yomogi tells his mother and Kamijo where to go, when his mother asks about Gauma he opts to explain he's banned from school grounds, before being dragged over to the waiting Awaki, Nazumi, Ranka and Kaneishi, telling him to find Yume while Mei just appears there. She's sat in a corner of the roof when he finds her, they're meant to be running the café now. Yume offers her hand and tells him to take her, and he hears Sizumu's voice from a Computer World environment, questioning why he "wasted" his potential to be a Kaiju User, arguing if he'd embraced kaiju and destruction he'd have experienced true freedom, questioning if he'll regret it. Yomogi isn't sure, but intends to live, and rejects Sizumu's philosophy that bonds are shackles, Sizumu doesn't get it. Yomigi comes back and helps Yume up, calling her by her first name for the first time at her prompting. They get to work at the café, hoping their scars stay with them. In Computer World, Knight looks at the seal from the statue, and DynaRex stands once more. Scarred Souls Shine like Stars.

Heroes' Odyssey: Zero looks at Belial's battle with the Ultras of the Land of Light, theft of the Plasma Spark, Zero training with Leo, Rei and the Ultras battle with Belial's army, and Zero's joining the battle to defeat him. He uses this to highlight another Ultra who struggled with his own darkness, showing the revival of Hudra, Darramb and Camaerra, and how Tiga Dark appeared to face the threat they unleashed.

Saber: Luna is lost, and Izaak is going full god complex, talking down at Storious, intending to eliminate the Swordsmen, he ambushes the Shindais and turns Durandal into a puppet, forcing him to attack Reika. Yuri hears from Tassel that Luna has appeared. Kento lends him Kurayami. Solomon uses his power to reach into Wonder World to seek Luna and attack Tassel, Sophia can sense his use of the Tome's power, as Sabela contacts Northern Base for help. Slash and Buster join Sabela as Durandal begs them to kill him. Touma, Mei, Rintaro and Kento reach Solomon. Saikou, in Wonder World, blocks the attempt to reach Luna and joins them, Solomon does something that causes him to vanish, and claims Kurayami and Saikou. Xross Saver Brave Dragon, Blades Tategami Hyoujuu Senki and Espada Golden Alangina face him. Tassel reaches Luna, introducing himself and promising to take her to Touna after she understands what she is. A Triple Rider Kick defeats Solomon, who attempts to use his spell to control Touma unsuccessfully, but uses it properly on Blades and Espada. Tassel explains to Luna that she is the embodiment of Wonder World, and her chosen one, Touma, will receive Wonder World's power and live their with her forever, she doesn't want to separate him from his friends though. Kento mocks Izaak for just manipulating people, and Runtaro notes his ambitions have caused him to lose all respect anyone ever held for him. He tries to drag them into darkness, but Yuri reawaken and brakes the attack and the spell, right before Durandal is made to kill Reika. Saber uses Lion Senki and Lamp do Alangina to form Special Edition. Combining their powers, they defeat Solomon, destroying Omni Force. At Southern Base, Ryoga collapses, to both siblings intense relief. Storious laughs. The injured Izaak crawls to a tunnel, where Omni Force reforms, but as he claims eternity, Storious appears, informing him his story is at an end, he reduces him to dust and claims Omni Force for himself, debuting a new outfit.

Zenkaiger: Boccowaus praises Gege, Barashitara grousing that he's treated better despite failing as well, Stacey is distracted by Yatsude reminding him of his mother, Boccowaus has Ijirude lend Gege another gear. Items are magnetised to everyone, thanks to Jishaku World, who disrupts the change by magnetising the Geartlingers, they do separate on changing, but attach to other things, and Jishaku World leaves them trapped until Zox arrives late. They get back to Colourful, there Stacey is having a snack, he gets them to pretend he's an acquaintance, Satoshi, not their enemy, but tension flares as soon as she leaves the room, but nothing happens before they realise the magnetic fields on the Kikainoids are getting stronger and making them flee the shop, Zox is waiting outside, as Magine is trapped Kaito and Secchan realises they need to stop Jishaku World fast. "Satoshi" helps Yatsude tidy up stuff that started moving, leaving but planning to come back, he runs into Kaito trying to get his help. Vroon is caught, and Gaon and Zyuran start pulling CrocoDaiOh, which only avoids crashing thanks to reverse thrusters. Zox argues to Stacey he should help Kaito since he's Yatsude's grandson. After Jishaku World reports to Gege, Stacey tells him the Zenkaigers might have found a way around his powers luring him to where Kaito and Zox are, they start fighting him as Flint keeps fighting to stop CrocoDaiOh hitting Zyuran and Gaon, who arrives at the battle running straight for Jishaku World, forcing him to reduce magnetism in the area so CrocoDaiOh doesn't hit him, and allowing everyone to move better. Zenkaiser uses Fiveman to access FiveRed's physics knowledge that lets him know heat will weaken Jishaku World. Shinken Form uses his fire abilities as Zyuran and Gaon join the fight, ZenkaiZyuran accessing his own fire and lending it to ZenkaiGaon, the 3 weakening him for Zenkaiser. Stacey leaves since he did as asked, Dai Jishaku World takes the field, separating Twokai-Oh, both ZenkaiOhs attempt to form, but are made the same poles. Riku and his father reconcile, Riku explaining he truly seeks to be a hero, after a talk, Riku puts his helmet on and Great Z transfers the suit to him, President Hanagata sees his son off. At breakfast, Yabai Kamen reveals he has the Affect System drones and declares they're enemies again and warps away, the rest of Aku no Himitsu Kessya say their goodbyes, thanking for the hospitality, and leave. At Fukuoka Dome Yabai Kamen is surrounded by the Dogengers immediately, and runs with 2 Karami, when the Dogenfers eventually corner him, Kitaqman Metal is thrown at the defeated pile he's making by the rest of Aku no Himitsu Kessya. A voice announces, as Yabai Kamen seems to have expected, the arrival of Great Z. Yabai Kanen crushes the drone using it to upgrade, in turn Gulf, Gallia, Uzagi and Nectaris unveil their own upgrades. Yabai Kamen mourns the loss of Shuraomaru, only for him to appear and unveil his new form.
