DARLING HOUSE Inspired by Jutaku Japanese houses, our nearly completed 3 storey 3 bedroom detached home affectionately known as Darling House occupies the site of a former double lockup garage in the heart of Victorian homes set within a conservation area in leafy Crouch End. The new house has 3 bedrooms situated in an excavated basement and manicured internal spaces providing 140m2 floor area complete with polished concrete floors throughout and beautiful glulam exposed timber beams forming the curvilinear roof. gray concept design

20 years of age. they/she/he. previously affiliated with evans house, now goes by "gray". one of the four hunters sent by the deities to kill raymond lan. gray's assigned partner is henrietta peregrine.

unlike most arcanists, gray likes to keep their hood down to show his beautiful face to the world. she has the power to embed magic energy into cards. it doesn't sound very deadly, but the cards can do a lot. (mostly, explode.) the limit is the number of cards.

even back when he was a young girl, they liked to wear dresses. rumor is she looks quite dashing in a suit.

I think something really important for me when writing is keeping the amount of elements to manage to a minimum. quality > quantity

the story I refused to give up for the longest time had one setting (a house) and four characters. one doesn't even appear on screen. it allowed me to elaborate on the relationships easier and just focus on their depth in general. I still have a deep attachment to it.

the artificial darlinghouse is sitting at around 20 characters (including minor characters) and not all factions are fully developed.

artificial darlinghouse faction (including homunculi) - 7 total. 3 major, 3 minor, 1 mentioned

otherworldly beings - 6 total. 1 major, 2 minor, 3 mentioned

hunters - 5 total. 2 major, 3 minor

underground faction - 3 minor

court of constantine - 2 minor

the church - overlap

there's two more undeveloped factions

that took a long time. brings us to 23. I probably forgot some. there are a couple overlaps (especially with the hunters). I might remove maybe half of the planned characters
