Star Wars Time Travel Prompt "A Longer Con"

Lando wasn’t much for Force nonsense.

The most it mattered or even meshed into his life was whenever he and Luke dealt with whatever problems they happened to find together at the same time.

Unfortunately, the flyboy wasn’t here. In fact, he wasn’t anywhere, which was the problem. Or at least part of it. He was stuck on Corellia of all places, with nothing but the clothes on his back and a blaster on his hip. That part didn’t confuse him much, he’d done it a few times on a couple planets before. But he hadn’t been looking for cheap real estate to flip in the outer corners of the galaxy then, he’d been drinking. Lando was sober when he went to sleep on that forest planet, and he was sober when he woke up on that Corellia roof.

Even weirder, the news on Corellia was on the new bill in the Republic Senate which was backed by the Chancellor. That in itself was not all that strange, except the Chancellor was named as one Sheev Palpatine and not Mon Mothma. After a bit more research, Lando found that Palpatine had been Chancellor for about three years now.

Now, Lando was always able to smell an opportunity. It was something he tended to pride himself on.

Right now, he was (after checking his reflection in one of the windows of the large buildings that populated Corellia) a handsome young man with no past or family to be used against him, a past that he could mold however he wanted. There was a growing resentment against the Galactic Republic, and currently Count Dooku hadn’t stood up as the face of those resentments. He knew just what the Republic was turning into, he was experienced in guerilla warfare, city management, he’d been a general before. How hard could it be?

Or; Lando Calrissian Time Travels into Pre-Episode 2 and lies and cons his way into starting the separatist movement early and fixing everything.

It's funny when I write about Sam worrying about corrupting Cas, bc Sam would worry about that, but in reality Castiel can and will outdo Sam in corruption while trying to do the right thing. Cue the leviathans.
