Which is better? Community or Glee?

So I think "better" is subjective no matter how I look at it and there are different perspectives. Which show do I think has better and more consistent writing with overall more careful execution? Community. Which show I would personally choose in a heartbeat if I could only ever rewatch one? Glee.

The more I thought about this the more I realized that, as tempting as it is to say Community is better overall and I'm just more personally drawn to Glee, I do think Community's dips in quality have to be considered too. Sure, it produced groundbreaking episodes of television and is overall a really good show, one I do want to revisit soon, but I also think the comparison between the two series' qualities isn't as obviously out of scale as I first thought. Both are satires at heart, with Community leaning far more into it especially as the shows went on. I mean, hell, Community parodied Glee itself at some point. I'm under no illusion that Community, even at its worst was much more tightly written and tonally consistent in what it was trying to do, but I also think it suffered from some similar things as Glee did. But of course, Glee dropped the ball so hard and so often.

It's still the show I, begrudgingly, like much more, but that's a personal attachment thing. I also think Community was a liiiittle too afraid of sincerity as Glee leaned in hard with the drama and cheese, which is a contributing factor.

Positivity on miss rachel Barbara Berry

First off it's more of a minor one but I love how silly and goofy she can be. "You're going to shoot Brittany??" or "WHO WROTE THIS, TINA?!" always make me crack up. The writers should've let her be funny more often.

Whether or not she deserved to be the leader, she really was the heart of the club. Think about how many times she extended a hand, literally or physically, to bring someone back into the club. Singing with Kurt at the end of 2x04, hyping Mercedes up in 2x17, helping buy Sam's guitar back in 2x19 and later bringing him back in 3x08, talking to Quinn in 3x01, being the one to walk Santana back into the group in 3x08. It's a lot. Worth noting that it's easier for her when said person isn't currently in direct competition with her, but still. The good moments count.

She's also very shippable which is a plus for me. I mean I'm a die hard Pezberry gal but Rachel is just such an adorable little muffin and looks cute with anyone <3

probably mainly how much i hate brittany asjfklds and how much i hate the unholy trinity as a trio. and im 100% ambivalent towards quinn to the point where i just dont care about her lol. like i dont hate her by any means but she just doesnt catch me like she does with a ton of other people

also my love for rachel berry. i know thats controversial <3 and pezberry over faberry ofc

What up with glee being against Halloween specials?

omg right?? we had the rocky horror glee show and that was literally it in six seasons. such a tragedy. there are so many great spooky songs they couldve picked

i know they wore plenty of costumes on the show but we deserved to see them at a halloween party at least once. everyone in zombie costumes and seeing klaine trick or treating for 5 seconds wasnt enough </3
