• You all should have known the twins would find trouble- they always did. This was only amplified by their jealousy of the new baby on the way.

• Due to the recent news of your pregnancy (check out here) You had been being watched by Buggy like a hawk, paranoid of all things which made the twins more aggressive in their destructive tendencies.

• So in order to keep the twins busy he had taken the difficult job of letting the twins be his apprentices-

• It was a way to keep them busy, for Buggy to go out to sea for short periods and in Buggy's words 'Teach them to be real pirates!'

• The next morning at breakfast the twins sit down at the dinning room table, Trying to be as quiet as possible and grab some things like they were prepared to run off.

• For the first few weeks they enjoyed it- Till the reality of chores set in. When they tried to throw a fit Buggy was quick to put a end to that and the boys were now just grumpy.

• It had been a week out to sea with the twins before he returned with some spare loot and things needed for the baby. The twins sour faced-

• "How was everything?" You questioned as you sat in the large lounge chair Buggy had gotten you and saw how dirty and tired the three looked.

• "Ask your sons-" Buggy said, However the steeled glare from you made him mutter a 'Our' and that he was going to shower and sleep in the guest room.

• The boys were no better then Buggy as they grumbled as well and climbed upstairs to clean themselves and sleep. Seemed you got the master bedroom to yourself-

• "Whats got you two in such a rush?" You question, seeing that gleam of mischief on their faces and also some guilt-

• "BOYS!!!!" A loud and wrathful yell sounded throughout the cabin.

• "We aren't in a rush mom- Just have things to do since we are 'apprentices' Right?" Dee said calmly as he looked to Bee who grinned and nodded.

• You raised a brow at their words, Going to question them further when a roar sounded through the house.

• You snap your head to look at the boys but see they had already gone- Clearly had run the moment they heard the voice.

• Blonde- So much blonde in his hair- It seemed like half his hair had been dyed in his sleep by the twins. Most likely using Burondo Burondo Oil that Cabaji used in his hair-

• You quickly rush upstairs, Afraid of what you would see and dash into the guest bathroom were you could hear Buggy yelling.

• However nothing would prepare you for what you saw.

•"I-Its pretty-" You try but he glares hard at you, Grumbling and angrily ranting to himself.

• It took every bit of your soul to keep from laughing.

• "Pretty!? PRETTY MY ASS!" He roared as he stomped his foot more and lost his mind.

• "Buggy- It doesn't look that bad I promise" You say grabbing his hand slowly, Knowing he was very mad right night and needed to calm down before he did something he would regret.

• He turned to you like he was going to scream and lose his temper- However he forced his mouth closed and bit his lips in anger.

• "It doesn't look bad Buggy. Besides it looks like it's Burondo Burondo Oil anyway which fades after a few days to the original color. So it's not very permanent" You reason, giving his hand a squeeze.

• Buggy sighs at this- knowing you were right but still angry. You reach out and touch his newly blonde hair.

• "And it looks pretty! Blonde hair goes well with blue eyes" You point out and say cheerfully. Buggy grumbling still but his spare hand just rubbing your unshowing stomach still.

• You let him do this, despite not being in the mood for physical touch. "Better?"

• "Better..." He grumbled, clearly still irritated but better now. You finally ask him to explain why the twins did this.

• "They wanted to revolt because 'being a apprentice is hard!' so I had them sweep the entire deck. Teach them that Mutiny is always punished" He said calmly, a fair punishment by pirate standards as the twins clearly were in the wrong.

• "But since they wanna be petty now- I can do that as well-" He said with a wicked grin.

• Gods help you all..

• Walking down to the docks for some fresh air, you heard the loud laughs of Buggy and the crew. Following the sound you see them all lounging at the docks drinking and watching the Big Top?-

• Getting close you saw it- The Big Top was covered in tomatoes and other random garbage on it like it had been vandalized!

• Rushing over you then see it- The twins on Ropes cleaning off the vandalism. While Buggy amd the crew hand tomatoes and random things throwing it at any spots they felt they missed.

• "BUGGY!" You yell as you see him fling a tomato at his sons head. The Captian turning to look back at you.

• "Oh (Y/N)! Come sit! Join us!" He insisted with a grin.

• "Doesnt this seem too cruel?" You pointed out. Pointing to the clearly pissed off boys

• "Now my Doll, You have been a wonderful mother. But you have spoiled these two rotten! It's time they get a hard lesson" He said as he patted your shoulder and had you sit to watch.

• You didn't know it was possible for two people alone to clean and repaint an entire ship but sure as hell did Buggy have them do it

• It being nightfall when they finished and glaring hard at Buggy- Cleaely this wasn't over. They had lost this battle but wanted to win the war-

In a world where Mihawk meets Shanks first, he later goes to challenge old man Rayleigh and it all starts to click into place. like "oh you're the reason I'm stuck with that" point to Shanks wearing an outfit a pattern blind person put togther.

⚠️ Warnings: ⚠️ Abuse, Implied Deaths, Blood, Witch Hunt(?)

"You have cursed our village!" Mrs. Yani yelled a another stone was tosses at you- tears rolling down your cheeks as you tried to shield yourself from the assault your way. Bruises and cuts littered your body from the harsh beating you'd woken up to- Having been ripped from your thin straw bed by your hair and beaten with sticks, brooks and fist as you were mercilessly dragged through the village. Your screams and sobs of confusion ignored by those around you till you were tossed to the edge of town-

You sat there sobbing, wrappinng yourself in your arms as if trying to hide from the hurt the words had brought onto you-

"I-I didn't do anything!" You cried, the taste of blood in your mouth as tou sobbed. The people you once thought were your own staring at you with burning hatred.

The elders of your village standing infront of you with disgusted looks on their faces.

"(Y/N) we have humored you enough by letting your wicked self stay here. A creature like you have damned us! I crops won't grow, the weather has only gotten worse! We let you stay cause your mother died but no more Witch!"

"I don't control the damn crops!-" You screamed, but a elder stepped towards you and kicked you hard in the ribs. A cry ripping through you as you fell to your side in pain-

"Silence you damn Vermin! Be greatful we are even allowing you to walk away with your life after this! Damn Freak!" He yelled, spitting on your quivering form. The village soon leaves, leaving you there in the dirt just outside its gates.

Those words echoing in your head as you sat there, the dark thoughts flooding your tired mind- The shivering of cold hitting your body as you were now in the soiled night clothes that was not ment to fight the coolest of nature.

"Hey Kid-" A gruff voice pulled you from your thoughts, Snapping up quickly to see a man standing there with a large group of others behind him. They were all dressed in circus clothes- Which confused you in truth. You'd only seen circuses like this in pictures or posters, no show would come to your tiny farming village.

"What happened to you?" He said, you watching the man as he kneeled down to meet your gaze- His eyes like the crashing waves of the sea that both drew you in terrified you.

"They kicked me out- They say im a freak who cursed their village! I-I didnt do anything!" You sob, word vomit getting the better of you- Fat tears starting to roll down your cheeks as a sob left you. Both in fear and pain of what had happened- You assuming the man would stand and kick you away as well, seeing you as Freaks like your village had.

The Blue-Haired man glancing back to his crew, a grin stretching over their paintwd lips as he gave a simple hand movement and they all ran past you towards the village laughing and hollering. But the man stayed behind-

However he just stared at you, His eyes drifting over your form. Almost amused by it-

"Whats your name kid?" He asked calmly, pulling out a long handkerchief from his pockets and handing it to you. You accepting and taking the multicolored fabric to wipe the blood and dirt from your face.

"(Y/N).. What about You?" You ask softly, feeling yourself start to be at ease with the strange man.

"See- People like your village are afraid of people like us- Freaks" He said sharply, gesturing to his own face. The realization then hitting you that the big cherry nose on him really was real-

"Buggy the Star Clown" He said calmly, you watch as he wiggles his fingers at you like doing jazz hands. Before flicking his wrist and a flower comes out, holding it out to you which you accept givibg a weary smile.

"T-Thank you.." You say softly, looking over the cloth flower as he stars over you.

"So kid- tell me more about what happened"

You begin to spin the tale of how you were yanked from your bed, beaten and so forth. The words they said to you and the tragedies of your life- Buggy listened quietly, his eyes watching you as if you were a new toy. Your string of conscious only stopped when the sound of screaming from the village tore you away.

Fear hitting your chest as you lurched forward to rush back to the place you once called home. But a gloved hand held you back gently.

"You're in no condition to be a hero kid- besides why would you want to save them?" He said coldly, making your blood freeze.

'Why would you want to save them?'

"I-I..."

"Have they done anything that makes them worth saving?" He stated calmly, patting your bruised shoulder with a very gentle hand. The echos of the villages screams starting to fade and change as your mild swirled with his words.

"But- Isn't that the right thing to do?" You questioned, Buggy smiling softly at you like you were so innocent to the world.

"By who's standards? Theirs?

He helps you to your feet, supporting some of your weight so you could get a good view of the chaos. The circus people returning, now covered in blood, some Carrington away shackled people, others with the wealth of the village and a few dragging some of the elders of your village with them. The elders who had lead for your abuse-

You look back at the villagers, watching how a man in green stepped forward with a canister of lamp oil and began to pour it over the elders with messy glee. Your heart beating like drums in your ears as you watched-

"They will laugh at us, hate us, shun us. But when the shoe is on the other foot-"

He gestured to the townsfolk now staring at you with pleading eyes. Fear in them as they stared at you, the one who they had just done the same to you. Leaving you there afraid for your life and pleading for mercy.

"Suddently they ask for compassion and mercy. Tell me, did they show that to you? Did they give you mercy?-"

The clown held a hand out as a touch was placed in a waiting gloved palm, before passing the torch to you- making sure to watch you grasp it firmly.

"You see what they do to freaks like us, So tell me. What are you going to do?"

It just occurred to me that none of the rest of Roger Pirates had seen Buggy in over 20 years.

I knew it, but I haven´t actually thought any further about it. But with that in mind, now I think that when Rayleigh asked this:

He was not only telling them that our favorite pirate clown was part of the Oro Jackson´s crew, but was asking if they could give him any information other than "he is a pirate". Maybe, he wanted to know how he was.

I think he misses Buggy. it would be undertandable ifhe hasn´t seen eachother for so long.

it seems like Rayleigh has been keeping tabs on him, but never actually reached to him, likely because he knows he didn´t wanted to be found, besides, if the world goverment learns that the Star Clown of the East Blue knows the Dark King, it would put Buggy on their radar, and he is not particulary strong, not like the others.

Rayleigh knows he is alive, and that seems to be enough for now.

I hope one day he learns that Buggy misses him too

He would have reached if he wasn´t that scared and hearthbroken

(*Also, It is possible that it was Rayleigh who told Shanks Buggy was a pirate or it could have been the other way around, we have seen Shanks would gather information about rival pirates, he could as well do the same for long lost friends).

First time Shanks awakened conquerors haki was when bounty hunters were about to take Buggy

Buggy is quite popular with bounty hunters bc of devil fruit

Shanks gets hurt more trying to protect buggy, hes also very accident prone

Buggy and Shanks nearly give Rayleigh and Roger a shit load of heart attacks

Bounty Hunter Rogue trying to collect Rayleigh and Roger’s bounty, stops trying to catch their bounty when the marines went after their kids

Roger cut down an entire fleet and their ship after a marine stabbed Shanks

Buggy definitely tracked down Shanks birth records to check if he’s a D or not (he’s not, and don’t ask how he just does)

Shanks keeps forgetting Buggy is technically stab-proof

Buggy has hypersensitive observation haki, so he’s more headache prone

Gaban is pretty much blind, not in the ‘i have to wear prescription to see’ way but the ‘my vision is pretty much all black’. He uses observation haki (this came from the fact he has three blind mice sunglasses

The Roger pirates stopped at Water 7 before they went to laugh tale, so that means Buggy and Shanks met Iceburg and Franky (75% sure this is canon but hasn’t been said)

Tom and Roger personally drank out an entire bar the last time they met

We should get to see Shanks and Rayleigh be slightly awkward family.

Mostly because I think they have a natural rhythm they’d fall into, they love each other after all theres alway been an easy camaraderie between them Shanks has always been the best parts of him and Roger and it’s hard not to be easy around him. but he’s also got their worst parts so it’d be one of those things where the lightness can never last and they get quiet with the weight of all the unsaid hurt between them. Because their captain was sick and then he died and then Ray abandoned him. And shanks still has so many suppressed issues about that.

Also I think their the type of people to do that cute knocking heads together thing and id pay good money way to see that.
