This year has felt like being pushed off a cliff.

THE WEST WING 7.11 – “Internal Displacement”

There are few TV couples that I think are 100% perfect for each other and Danny x CJ are one of them.

My only complaint is that the show didn't give them more scenes together.

heyy while on the hip hop + rap recommendations subject, ive always been interested but never really known where to start. right now all i listen to is CJ the x, quebrada queer (Brazilian!! super recommend), and definitely putting some more interest in Kendrick Lamar. anyone you'd recommend?

Okay first of all CJ the X is a badass name and second of all I listened to some of his music and I’m definitely getting some Rav vibes! I’d recommend trying a lot of Ravs music but especially listen to ‘Put it Down’ ‘Cinnabar’ and really the entire album ‘Solar Flare’ ! :D

But if you wanna branch out to more rap music then Kendrick lamar is definitely a good start! I suggest listening to the albums I recommended in my last post!! ‘DAMN.’ ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ ‘good kid m.A.A.d. city’ ‘Section.80’ ‘Untitled unmastered’ ect ect. JUST LISTEN TO KENDRICK HES GREAT!!!

Another great artist that I love with all my heart is Danny Brown! His writing is incredible and his beats are so unique! ‘XXX’ was definitely my favourite, but ‘uknowwhatimsayin¿’ ‘The Hybrid’ and ‘Quaranta’ are also amazing and worth listening to! He’s got some weird lyrics but shh just focus on the beat trust me!

I’ve been waiting this whole rant to mention this but if you wanna get into rap PLEASE TRY THE OLDER STUFF!!! 70s-90s!!! There are so many tracks from back then that I’d say still rival the quality of most rap today! One of my favourite albums from back then (which is turning 34 in 2 weeks <3) is ‘Amerikkkas Most Wanted’ By Ice Cube! The storytelling is phenomenal, clear political commentary, amazing yet simple beats, it’s got EVERYTHING a hip hop album should have! It’s everything hip hop should BE! 100% worth listening to, even if you’re not into rap.

I also want to mention this one hip hop group that I absolutely LOVE!!! A Tribe Called Quest! Their music has more of a jazz-y vibe than someone like Ice Cube or Kendrick but nonetheless, still amazing! I’m sure Q-tip and Phife Dawgs unique voices will get you hooked instantly! ‘Midnight Marauders’ and ‘The Low End Theory’ are such incredible albums with every track having a unique beat, yet still keeping the same feel and vibe!

Theres so so so many artists I could go on about for hours, but I’m just gonna keep it short and give you a list of a bunch of pre-2000s songs from my playlist! :)

ever since the ted lasso cast visited the white house and jason asked a press question from james lance in the audience during the press briefing i have NOT been able to stop thinking about a ted lasso the west wing au because ted and trent are soooo cj and danny coded like. the compassionate leader who wins over the press room with their charisma and jokes x the brilliant investigative journalist with great hair who gives them hell during briefings but they're still more than friendly with like it works so perfectly.......

"What happened?" he questions, forgetting that he had followed the ghost in secret.

"Ghosts. That's what happened, Clark," there was a hysterical note in the King's voice, "do you know how often--we begged for help. At the end we were screaming for help. Nobody came. Nobody believed us and so nobody helped us."

He went silent for a second, looking over his devasted town, before saying, "I'm the only one left. The Last of Amity Park."

"We didn't--"

"Do not claim you did not know!" the boy roared, "We did everything!"

Then he calmed suddenly, smiling inhumanely, "Doesn't matter now; I own John Constantine. Any hint of trouble and I'll send him in to get your attention. No one else will be ignored, never again."

Clark took a breath, "We honestly didn't know, your Majesty. We'll be redrafting our protocols--"

"Was it because we're a small town?" Phantom questioned, ignoring Clark's words, "if say, Paris called for help would you answer? Or would you peek in, see everything seemed okay, then ignore them too?"

Would they, Clark wondered dazedly looking over the town; the war-torn town that now was a memorial to countless souls.

Had they become too self-assured? That they knew who needed help and who didn't? That they knew everything, enough to say 'no, that couldn't be real'?

Phantom motioned to the graves, "What would you say to them? My friends? My family? That you're sorry? That you didn't think ghosts were real enough to cause harm? What would you tell them, Clark? You and your League of heroes who left us here to die fighting?

Phantom turned to him fully.

"What would you say?"

I love seeing Danny Phantom showing up and being like ‘don’t ask too many questions but John Constantine I own your soul. All of it. Lmao sucks to suck bitch’, and he’s usually all Ghost King Full Regalia as he does it, at least in front of the Justice League, but consider—

He just shows up as Danny Fenton.

“yeah I got bored and collected the pieces like Pokémon. Gotta catch ‘em all” says the 5’2 teen who looks like a stiff breeze could trip him. He denies being a sorcerer, or a magician, concedes he’s maybe psychic but mostly he’s just…. The kid of two mad scientists—who have a basement lab where they opened a portal to what he SAYS is not hell but no one is frankly CONVINCED, by the way—and he hasn’t decided what to do with Constantine yet besides getting Danny into some r rated horror movies, but figures he should tell the dude probably.

“What’d you even trade for some of his soul contracts?”

“Don’t worry about it”
