Hello, everyone!

I just want to post here about my favorite character in the novel I have read entitled Tian Guan Ci Fu. The English translation of this is Heaven Official Blessings. 

The character I love and like the most is Xie Lian. He is a crown prince of the kingdom called Xianle. Xie Lian is a very talented young man and has a very kind heart, which most people take advantage of; he always helps people without even thinking what will happen to him. You will also learn a lot of life lessons from his character. 

After reading books 1 until 3, I cry a lot because of how they treated Xie Lian even though he helped those people a lot, yet they don’t know to appreciate him, which makes me sad. I hope when I read the books 4 until 8, they will know how to appreciate him.

That’s all, guys. Please read this book; it's really interesting, and you won’t regret it, I swear.

I'm going through the /DanmeiNovels subreddit and reading up on everyone's translation pet peeves, and one of the things I came across was yall don't like Americanized slang

and to paraphrase because i'm not naming any names but "I read these historical novels to be transported to another place your modern slang jolts me out of the story"

well i've got news for you

i know reddit gets a bad rap for being 4chan lite but r/danmeinovels has given me such an Experience these recent days. local idiot reportedly laughing his ass off

i threw out the question "hey i'm hyperempathetic and excessive angst/whump makes me die. that said, 2ha?"

and the replies were either "yeah no wouldn't recommend it buddy"

or

"do it, but good fucking luck. lol"

Something I've noticed while reading these danmeiconfessions posts is that most of it is svsss related or just svsss in general. Like I've been scrolling for a while now and I cannot remember the last confession that didn't mention or wasn't about svsss. Like, this doesn't just apply to this danmeiconfessions blog either, ive found that in danmei communities like danmeitwt and r/danmeinovels just talk about svsss more. Hell, even on AO3 svsss has MORE fanfics that TGCF!!! And that's interesting cuz it's pretty agreed upon that svsss is the least popular mxtx novel but I feel like it has a bigger fandom presence than TGCF and maybe MDZS despite having less members. In conclusion, GOOO SVSSS!!!!

So I made the first reddit comment of my life today, asking a question regarding a book I pre-ordered, and immediately got a message back from a mod bot saying it was deleted because I don't have enough post karma or whatever, and that I need to make more comments elsewhere before i can be perceived on the danmeinovels sub reddit

Like, damn, what if this was the first sub reddit I was ever interested in posting or commenting on (it is)? I get that it's to prevent spam and stuff, but I've had this reddit for years, and I've been subbed to the sub reddit in question for months. I just haven't tried to *use* it until today because i haven't felt the desire to. And I definitely don't want to make posts on random other sub reddits so I can gain relevance, so fuck me, I guess, lol

Ftr I'm not like, mad, about this, so much as I'm very baffled. A lot of sub reddits truly don't interest me, so I like, legit wouldn't have a way to ever comment or post on there, apparently? Unless I go out of my way to make comments on sub reddits I'm not interested in??
