The Witches’ Mark ©Daniele Smith (2017)

If you cut an apple in half, a five pointed star is revealed in the middle. Which is a very convenient thing for most witches, as the pentagram is an important symbol for them. The apple being a natural vessel for this symbol allows it to be used in many spells and rituals. The pentagram is said to be the mark of a witch among many other things such as moles found on the body, unusual birthmarks, a strange twinkle in the eye and perhaps an affinity for the strange and unusual. So look around, can you spot the witches among you? Materials: sketchbook paper, alvin drafting MAB 0.3mm pencil, construction paper, uniball signo white gel pen.

As this curious fairy peers through the veil separating the human world from the fairie realm, she observes humans in confusion and disbelief. "They are strange in the way they do things, don't they know there is a much better way to live..." First complete piece I've done in a long time! I've used my new Derwent Graphitint Colored Graphite Pencils and regular Prismacolor Colored Pencils as well as a .5mm drafting pencil and a white gel pen. I really enjoyed doing this one

“Articles from the Wizarding World”

I really enjoyed doodling these while watching the Half Blood Prince. I just looooooove Harry Potter.

(Here’s a secret: I jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon reaaally late, haha. I have always enjoyed the movies but not to the point that I would call myself a Potterhead. But last year after being gifted the complete set of Harry Potter films by my husband, I got so obviously enthralled, that he got bought me all 7 books and I read straight through them one after and another. After I finished the last book, I had made up my mind that I would go to Universal Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter one way or another, lol. And would you know it? Not longer after an opportunity came about and my husband and I got go to to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It was aaaaaall I could have hoped for ^-^)
