y'know in a voicecall the other night there was a bit of talk about how Dani and Larry being old friends kind of seems to logistically conflict with her original stated origin- being a recent arrival from a universe where CPUK tournaments take place in soul calibur instead of smash- and my dear friend jort @taffy-glitch suggested something offhand that my brain has sunk its teeth into a little

What if she's actually been from the main cpukverse the whole time, and that's just a stage backstory? The whole basis of her outsider identity an entertaining falsehood for performance's sake? And she hasn't been going home when she leaves, shes just leaving, going somewhere else, specifically to be away from kerfuffle.

20-something creates stage persona not sufficiently distinct from their real self, gets unreasonably, obnoxiously famous from what they achieved and did and continue to do in that stage persona, that stage persona kind of takes over their life a bit and worsens their relationships with the people they love and their ability to engage with other people in a normal way as it gets harder to break character, distancing themselves from it (along with everything and everyone else) in times of emotional crisis but always coming back because they cant resist even if this cycle of performance and isolation is not so good for them. many such cases

Like if you're on a hockey team, you get a nickname, that's just how it is so obviously I have to write out every nickname I think people would have (lighthearted).

Susan: Suze, Suzanne (elongated by Tommy and Dutch to be annoying)

Ali: Mills, Milly, Miller

Johnny: Johnny boy, Jumbo (coined by Dutch), JL

Bobby: Brownie (every man in hockey with the last name Brown gets the nickname Brownie and I'm not kidding), Bobert, Bob

Tommy: Tambourine (coined by Dutch), Tommer, Thomas (Susan says this to him whenever he calls her Suzanne)

Dutch: The Flying Dutchman, Ditch (both coined bc Dutch will not pay the check at dinner), Dutchy

Jimmy: Jimbo, Jimothy

Daniel: Danny, LaRusso, Newark (Johnny chirps him with this)

Chozen: Choze, Toger, T

Tbh I imagine that Susan and the og Cobras use nicknames a lot whereas Ali, Daniel, and Chozen primarily call each other by their first names

Lawrence and Dani are also students at University A, but their "love" story started back in high school. Their relationship wasn't great back then. Lawrence used to bully Dani; back then, Dani didn't weigh as much as he does now. He was a cute twink that everyone liked. He had an enviable figure and his beauty could charm anyone, except Lawrence. Lawrence was just annoyed by him. Every time he saw Dani, he felt irritated, and all he wanted was to humiliate him in front of everyone. So, whenever he got the chance, he'd trip him in the hallways, steal his lunch, or throw his stuff.

To everyone's surprise, Dani would just smile big at all this bullying. He'd had a crush on the redhead for a while, but never tried to talk to him because no one knew his orientation. No one had seen him with a guy or a girl, and many assumed he was asexual. So, Dani just forgot about having a relationship and was happy with the little time he spent with Lawrence, even if it meant getting hurt.

Lawrence got more and more frustrated seeing that goofy smile on Dani's face, like he enjoyed being bullied. He was fed up and had to find another way to break him. No matter what others thought, he took his obsession with humiliating Dani a step further. He changed his strategy and got closer to him. He faked an apology and, as a peace offering, gave him greasy food during breaks. He was determined to make that cute face everyone loved to disappear.

Dani's reaction to Lawrence’s apologies was positive. He happily accepted the food Lawrence bought him. He’d never reject a gift from someone he found cute. He even used the closeness to get to know him better. Whenever he saw Lawrence in the hallways, he was always alone. His expressions were cold and dry, and no one liked being around someone so unfriendly. But now that they were talking, Dani could learn more about the big, intimidating guy everyone feared.

Over time, they became comfortable with each other. Lawrence felt good being around Dani. He’d share when he was sad or angry, and when he was frustrated, Dani always found a way to calm him down. But by this point, many months had passed, and Dani’s weight had skyrocketed. His clothes barely fit, he couldn’t stand for long, walking or running tired him out, and his appetite tripled. Lawrence felt guilty for doing that to someone so kind who, despite being treated terribly, didn’t hesitate to forgive him. The more he thought about it, the worse he felt, especially because he found Dani more attractive now that he was fat and not when he was thin. His head was a mess.

Graduation day came. Dani now needed two chairs to sit comfortably. His suit and gown were custom-made because there wasn't a size that fit him. Lawrence was super nervous; that day he was going to confess to Dani what he had done. He couldn’t live with the guilt of hurting the sweetest person in the world.

The ceremony ended, and every time Dani tried to get close to Lawrence, he avoided him. When he had a chance to be away from everyone else, he took it, and they met under a big tree decorated with yellow lights. Dani was excited, hoping Lawrence would finally ask him to be his boyfriend.

But as soon as Dani heard Lawrence's confession, his smile vanished. He was confused. He had noticed he was getting fatter for months. Every week he gained 2 to 5 kilos, and his parents insisted a lot on dieting and exercising, but he didn't want to because he enjoyed those special moments with Lawrence when he bought him something delicious. He was in shock and felt tears streaming down his face. He felt humiliated; what Lawrence had wanted for so long had finally happened.

—Every time I looked in the mirror, I thought I looked cute for you even if others didn't like it, — Dani said, his nose red and eyes swollen. He felt like his heart had shattered completely. Lawrence, hearing this, didn’t hesitate to hold his face and make him look directly at him, and without hesitation, he replied:

—Dani, I never said otherwise… you're beautiful. I love watching you eat and adore that you get fatter each month. I like you a lot. You're the most adorable and sweet guy I've ever seen. I'm sorry I didn't notice it when you were thin.—

As expected, after those words, Dani was unsure. He had made such a big change in his body for Lawrence’s love that the best thing was to trust him. Luckily for both, from that moment until now, Lawrence has never stopped repeating how much he loves Dani. He still buys him greasy food during breaks, buys him new clothes but in smaller sizes, so his chubby body is always on display. He likes showing off his boyfriend and telling others that he's only his.

Bianca got up with a start looking at her father offended.

“But she’s a mutant! What if she never dates!”

“Then you’ll never date, ooh I like the sound of that,” her dad says smirking as he rubs his hands together before continuing,

“And I get to sleep at night, the deep slumber of a father whose daughters aren’t being impregnated!” he said facing Bianca before his very out-dated pager beeps notifying him that he had an emergency call at work, he points at Y/N and quickly says

“We will talk about Sarah Lawrence later!” he says as he walks out the front door

“Fine.” Y/N replies going up the stairs to finish her book without having to be annoyed by Bianca.

Bianca’s nostrils flare as she rushes towards the end of the stairs looking up at Y/N 

“Can’t you find some blind, deaf guy to take you out so I can have one date!” Bianca shouts

“Sorry Bianca you’ll just have to miss out on the witty repartee of Trevor ‘eat me’ Zegras.”

“You suck!” Bianca says walking away

“You suck!” Y/N mocks back walking up the rest of the stairs.

Luke waited in the library for Bianca, he had learned French and found time in between hockey to be able to teach her French, something Quinn thought he was an idiot for.

Bianca storms in, Luke thought she looked gorgeous. Bianca had her long black hair in a ponytail and a red headband to hold back any falling pieces. She was wearing a red long sleeved crop top with a floral skirt and tiny red heels. Luke’s throat went dry as he opened the book, his hands shaking.

Bianca rushes towards Luke, being almost a foot shorter than him and that makes Luke go wild, he just stares at her before Bianca speaks “Can we make this quick? Troy and Dani are having an incredibly horrendous public breakup in the parking lot,again!” she said, smiling up at him.

His cheeks turned red “Well, uh I thought we would start with pronunciation?”

“Not the gagging, hacking and spitting part please.” she said folding her arms over her chest

“There is an alternative, French food, with me, this saturday.” 

“You’re asking me out?” she said her red lips growing into a smile

“That’s so cute? What’s your name again!” she said, making luke embarrassed.

“Luke Hughes. Listen, I know your dad doesn’t let you date, but I thought that if it was for French class he would,-” he said before Bianca spoke again.

“Oh wait a minute, Lyle..”

“Luke.” 

“My dad came up with a new rule, I can date when my sister does.” she said before Luke cheers

“Really? Do you like beach houses because me and my brothers have a beach house and-”

“A small problem Luca, In case you haven’t heard, my sister is a hideous breed of loser.”

“Y-yeah I noticed she is a little antisocial…Why is she like that anyway?” Luke asked leaning closer to Bianca 

“She used to be really popular, but she got sick of it or something. So then she became some moody indie rock loser.” Bianca replies as she makes a smug face at the talk of her ‘bitch’ sister.

“Yeah..but I am sure there are many men who wouldn’t mind going out with a difficult woman…like…Extreme dating!”

“You think you could find someone that extreme, and you’d do that for me?” Bianca replied holding his hand 

“Hell yes! I mean…yes.” Luke said before shrinking down in his seat. Luke’s mind immediately went to his older brother…Jack Hughes.

     Luke and Quinn saw their brother at hockey practice at around 2pm, Luke had already told Quinn and decided what was going to happen. He was pushing people into walls and gliding the puck into the net with such ease and then doing a very cocky celly, the rest of his teammates looking at him with fear.

“Hey brother, what’s up my man…” Luke said as he approached

“Yes, Luke? Is there something you need?” Jack said as he went to sit on the bench taking off his skates as his brother talked to him with his gear still on.

“Can you maybe take out this girl, Y/N, you’re the only one I know who could handle her-” He tried to say before being interrupted

“No way Luke, I am not taking out some chick, for your benefit.” he said as he walked to the locker room, not even glancing at his brother before taking off his jersey while walking into the locker room showing his toned back and his chest guard.

“God, of course he said no.” Luke said as he got on the bench as he took off his skates while Quinn skated off the ice and sat next to him.

“What we need…is a backer…someone who could convince Jack…” Quinn says before looking at Trevor and immediately knowing who his target was.

“Hey Trevor…” Quinn said as he skated towards Trevor. Trevor gave him a look.

“What’s up Hughesy, what do you need?” Trevor said as he skated around the ice rink.

“I need you to ask Jack to date Y/N L/N. Now here me out, all you have to do is pay him, and you may score a date with Bianca…” Quinn said desperate to help his little brother out.

“Fine, Bianca sounds nice…Ok I’ll do it, you owe me.” Trevor said before skating off the rink and going towards the locker room and approaching Jack.

“Hey Jack…buddy…Wanna go out with Y/N L/N for a couple bucks?” Trevor asked Jack as Jack stripped down to his boxers grabbing his regular clothes which consisted of a white t-shirt and blue swimming shorts. Jack gave him a confused expression.

“Why does everyone want me to go out with this chick? She got brownie flavored nipples or something?” Jack asked while taking out his vape and taking a hit.

“It may have something to do with her younger sister…Bianca L/N…But I’ll pay you 50 bucks a date.” Trevor said as he smiled

Jack didn’t even care, money is what caught his attention, he couldn’t get a job because he was too focused on hockey, so getting money for taking out a girl, a girl he thought was kind of pretty, it was perfect.

“Fine, I’ll do it, but I want the money in advance. Now I’m gonna go try to ask this girl out while you sit here in uniform.” Jack said before taking another hit and walking out of the locker room with a mission on his mind.

“Hey girly.” Jack said as he approached Y/N who was at her locker grabbing her books for psych.

She looks towards him with an amused smile. She was wearing a white long sleeve top, a long blue skirt and black chunky sandals, her h/l h/c hair was let down with half of it up.

“Why hello?” she said looking at him with a slight smirk

“What are you doing pretty girl?” Jack said as he looked at her

“Trying to grab my notebook for psych as a certain white boy is pestering me.” she said as she finds her book and slams her locker closed

“Mm I wonder who that boy is.” Jack said as he smirked at her “Do you maybe wanna go out sometime?” he asked, using his charming white smile to grab her attention. “I’ll give you a hint.” she says as she pulls open her locker revealing a mirror and pointing it at Jack. Jack looks at her with a shocked but amused face..now this girl has caught his attention, he is still in it for the bet, but Y/N…she was starting to make this a bit more fun and exciting for him.

After a long day of training the boys of the new Cobra Kai, Johnny lets out a big sigh as he finally closes up the dojo. Returning to the world of karate is not easy. He definitely needs to get fit again… And he definitely needs a beer.

The bar is not as crowded as it normally is in the evenings.

Johnny sits down and asks the bartender for a beer, the same one he drinks every night. The young man nods and immediately leaves it in front of him, ready to drink.

As always, Johnny proceeds to distract his mind with the television that hangs a few feet from on the bar. And although what he is seeing is nothing important, a female voice next to him prevents him from hearing whatever he is seeing, which irritates him.

"I know- listen Dani, I had a long day, I don't think I can go- yes, I understand, but-" the voice pauses to let out a sigh, "I'm very tired. I had a long day, I was late with the rent- no, I don't want your help - you know I always appreciate it but I really don't…"

The conversation continues for a few more minutes, then an 'I love you too' is heard, and after that, the call ends. That seemed to relieve him. Finally he thinks to himself and then he focused all of his attention back on the television. Or so he thought.

"A beer please" but it wasn't just that, it was exactly the same one he's drinking. Which is weird because hardly anyone drinks it. And that seems to pique his curiosity because he turns around to see who is the woman, the cool woman, who drinks the same beer as him.

There, sitting next to him, one arm supporting her head and the other simply stretched out, is you.

And you honestly didn't plan on doing this. Everything was supposed to go well today… which was the complete opposite. But after having spent the hard day, the bar came your way... and you needed a break.

"Long day huh?" You hear someone on your side. When you turn your eyes, after thanking the bartender for the beer, you meet a blond guy. By appearance, he seems one, two years older than you, he wears a plain black shirt, and on top of it, a light checkered red shirt.

"Sorry?" You try to sound nice, but you're so stressed that you just want to drink, go home, take a shower and sleep.

"I usually drink that one" he nods at your beer, "when I have bad days"

You notice that in his hand is the same bottle. "I guess then today was that bad for you huh"

"Something like that" Johnny takes a sip of his beer.

"I'm Y/N" you hold out your hand politely, Johnny looks skeptical at first but then shakes it.

An electric current runs through your hands for a second. "Johnny"

"You don't seem like the type to do karate," you laugh.

Two hours later, you are both sitting at a table, this time with two empty plates and a couple more beers. both enjoying each other's company, as well as getting to know each other thoroughly.

"That's rude. Are you saying that because of how I look?"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I shouldn't judge by appearances" Both laugh.

"Well, being a yoga instructor, shouldn't you be drinking water, or all that healthy shit you guys do?

You explode of laughter for a few seconds, then you calm down and decide to answer. "Yeah, well, I don't usually drink actually, but today," you sigh, "Today I definitely needed it. I was late with the rent, I forgot the money at home because I was late and-"

"Yeah I know. I heard you when you arrived. Well I didn't know it was you but," I must admit, you looked stressed, your husband must-"

You correct him. "No, no," you laugh, "Daniel is my brother. I'm single." You let out a nervous laugh.

Johnny didn't expect it. You are very beautiful, impossible for anyone else to not notice that.

"Sorry, I thought," Johnny decides it's best to take another sip of the beer, the last one.

"I'm the little sister," you say. "And he's always worried about me, he has since our parents split up and he moved in with mom. You take a short pause.

"He'd helped me a lot and I really appreciate it! But since I moved out here he seems to be checking up on me all the time, but come on, I'm an adult! I can take care of myself!" I laugh. "But I guess it's in his blood. Being a LaRusso isn't easy," You add nonchalantly.

Johnny chokes on the last sip of beer. He hopes he has misheard.

"Are you okay!?" You threaten to get up to help him but he shows you with his hand that he is fine.

"LaRusso? Daniel LaRusso is your brother?"

You don't understand, so curious, you ask,

"Yeah, why? Were you and him friends or something?"

How weird that you didn't know. He thinks. But remembering what you said about your parents, that's when he realizes. It may not be a good time for you to know…yet.

"Yeah, well, let's say him and I are good old friends" and what 'friendship' Johnny and Daniel had.

lol, dany's charachter wasnt assassinated, season 8 was. Her Lawrence of Arabia arc was there for everyone to see from the first season if you wanted to (see for exemple her reaction to drogo speech about raping women), that's why many people saw it. Its just that it was badly executed, epecially it was rushed in season 7-8, and thats a reason, amongts many, why grrm had insisted on having more seasons.

In the case of alicent i suppose that twit on x is right about what the writers' intentions were, but again, if the written material is lacking what is planned doesnt translate. They failed so many times in their choices, most of them i still dont understant how they could have made. And lets be clear, so many choices were plain stupid if you read the book and undertood grrm points. Honestly it was very difficult to expect something good in the end

dany's character was assassinated by the poor execution. i've always said i had nothing against her arc to become the villain but she did 180 in about 5 episodes and to me that's character assassination.

as for alicent, obviously the writing, especially of this season, is atrocious. this show is fire & blood fanfic and nothing more, but even fanfics writers are trying to keep their characters as they are. if you make them ooc it's just glorified reader insert. i haven't expect anything great, but this is butchery.

Thinking about Dani talking about J0hn and Larry in terms of romantic tropes of knights and damsels (calling j0hn 'larry's knight in shining armor,') and how Larry played a role for so long it became a part of him even when he acts like he hasn't changed and how Dani came away from a Comforting Offscreen Peptalk about the fictional nature of reality with her old friend Larry, the apparent takeaway for her from whatever he said being essentially 'sorry j0hn this might not make sense but if im Made and Exist to be a Winner and kick ass then that Rules actually.' and Larry expressing an appreciation for Bing's normalness because it's what allows guys like Larry to really shine. Larry, being especially... touched? Comforted? By getting a positive answer from us in the nelson expressing that we care what happens to them and how they feel after discussing Spectrum's powers with us, clearly knowing what we are, his heart apparently put at ease by the thought of an audience, a loving god who wishes them well?

Thinking that. maybe. Lawrence Home has undergone some Ideological Shifts in the spiritual sense in the past seven years. With regard to his knowledge that hes a character in a story and Spectrum and the Audience drive the world. and is maybe taking his beloved for granted just a bit. On account of them being clearly matched soulmates at the narrative level.

And thinking about how ryan compared j0hn and johannsen in terms of the most important people in their lives being missing from it for a long time, an animal described as loyal like a dog is and who has a clearly very rose-tinted impression of that loved one and is deeply distressed by the idea that they could be hurting at all let alone in ways he doesnt understand, because they should know, theyre too close not to. and how j0hn's in therapy but Larry isn't because he doesn't want to contribute to Therapuppy's overworking herself and insists he's over it all anyhow but then has a brief episode of forgetting where and when he is just seeing Dr. O walking around uninhibited in a dream and is explicitly uncomfortable with Susan, whom j0hn has apparently grown friendly with. And then he makes a deal with crimson which rather conveniently means he will not be in the lab he spent years aiding and abetting and committing scientific atrocities in with that woman's evil and fucked up counterpart for an extended stretch of time and.

Yknow.

Not actually have to talk to j0hn about what's bothering him. Because its been 7 years and on some level he IS Different now and even if he wants to trust that things will work out fine and loves him and believes still that they were basically made for eachother, he still hasn't had to have a serious talk of this kind with the love of his life in almost a decade. and thats. Scary. its Awkward and Uncool and a little too Real and Vulnerable for a guy who's been a mental lockbox for 7 years and embraced the performance based reality of being fictional at this point even if hes forced to go off faith a lot of the time since he has no innate sixth sense for any of it. this is a guy who said it was Embarrassing of all things that we knew he died offscreen at one point Larry is not.doing normal and hasnt been in a LONG time

Ooo…I like fem!Silverusso, and also fem!Dani Silverusso. For the latter…maybe Dani is in high school, but she’s poor, so she’s had a wealthy benefactor pay for her to attend this fancy school. Dani has met Mr. Silver a few times, and she got quite the crush on this handsome, charming, older man. Still, she doesn’t think an older, wealthy man like that would pay attention to a high schooler like her…Little does she know that Mr. Silver wanted to pay for her tuition in the first place because he found her so sweet and innocent and pretty, and is only waiting for her to grow up a little more before he takes her as his own, and make her his. But he can play with her a bit before then, can’t he?

So good! This reminds me of Fifty shades of grey au. Their dynamic just fits so well. And not to mention FIFTY SHADES OF SILVER. I mean cmon it was made for them.

Dani steps in for her sick roommate Jessica to interview business owner/entrepreneur Terry silver for their campus paper. He’s instantly enamored with the young girl and tries to get close to her any way he can: volunteering at the church she attends, sending flowers and various gifts to her house every single day. Dani never got this kind of attention from a man, so understandably, it scares her away. She buried herself in homework and helping Mr. Miyagis (failing) business while he’s away, trying her best not to think about Terry and his sexy voice and dreamy smile. She snaps out of her daydream when the door to the shop opens, revealing a familiar face. Her heart skips a beat as her eyes lock with the very man she’s been trying to avoid all week, Terry Silver.

He makes an order of ten of their finest bonsai trees and a date. ‘A date? No way a man like Terry wants to go on a date with me. He’s probably doing it to get with my roommate Jessica.’ She reasons. Expect disappointment and you won’t be disappointed.

Though, when Terry arrives to pick her up it was nothing how she expected. He was… kind. Actually listened to what she had to say and didn’t just try to get in her pants. (No matter how bad she wanted it)

Later that night when he dropped her off, he pulled her into a passionate goodbye kiss. Dani would have enjoyed it more if only it didn’t feel so… final.

She curled up in her sheets that night, mind racing with thoughts of the older man. His grip on her waist the entire night, eyes never leaving her form. She imagined what it would be like to sleep with him. His tall, muscular body entrapping her own, like a blanket trying to snuff out a fire.

She tried desperately to push those unholy thoughts aside, even if they haunted her in her dreams.

The next week was spent practically staring at the phone, waiting patiently for a phone call from the man who swept her off her feet. But a call there was not. She couldn't help but wonder what she did wrong. Had she misread the signals? Was Terry just playing games with her? Did he not find her unattractive? The uncertainty gnawed at her, only fueling her insecurities.

Jessica suggested going out clubbing with her, get her mind off of that asshole and find some other guy to mess around with. The whole thing sounded too… chaotic, but that seemed to be the only thing to rid her mind of Terry. After her fifth shot she decided she had enough with waiting for him to call her back. Finding the nearest payphone, she dialed his number. ‘Voicemail, of course’ after leaving a not so heartfelt voicemail that she will most likely regret in the morning, she went back to her friends. A new face joining in. Johnny Lawrence all grown up. Last time she saw him was in middle school, she almost didn’t recognize him with all the girls hanging off of his shoulder. later into the night, they reminisced on old memories and Johnny admitted his adolescent crush on the girl. If she was any less drunk she would have shied away from his touch, but right now all she wanted to do was forget about Terry, and Johnny was a good distraction. Though, she started to come back to reality the second his hand reached under her skirt. She attempted to pull away from his grip but her struggling and pleas were rendered useless. Panic started to set in just as a familiar face came to her rescue. Pushing Johnny off of her, Terry stands 6’5 in all his glory and she swears he looks taller under the fluorescent street lights illuminating the alleyway. Dani falls to her ass onto the wet pavement below, staring up at the man she convinced herself she hated now looked like some sort of Greek god that just stepped out of a playgirl magazine, his hair messy and wet from the rain earlier, and his muscles rippling under the sheer fabric of his tight shirt.

His massive arms easily wrapped around the expense of her body to hoist her up, guiding her to the car he has waiting upfront.

The next morning, she wakes up in Terry’s bed, in nothing but an oversized tee-shirt, not remembering a thing from the night before. Panic starts to set in at the thought that she might have lost her virginity black out drunk. Terry steps out of the shower in nothing but a towel hanging low on his waist. He assures her nothing happened between them and apologized for his behavior the past week. He explained that he was scared of his own feelings and that he should have stayed away from her but the pull he feels towards the girl is too strong to resist.

Slowly, but surely he introduces her to his sadistic world.
