So You Say There's Not Shit to Do In Evansville...

...and so I call bullshit, sir, and I raise you no less than three events this Saturday which all contain awesome, all are all-ages (to some extent), and all involve alcohol (should you choose to imbibe it).

They are:

Demolition City Roller Derby Season 6 Bout 3

Doors open at 4:30, Destruction Dames start at 5:30 and the Dynamite Dolls host the main event @ 7:30. Tickets are $10 and beer is cheap.

The Recorded World Was Set On Fire: An Art Opening and Film Screening

Curt Miller is a photographer and filmmaker currently living in Evansville, IN and a future MFA candidate at the University of Illinois - Chicago. In his most recent series "The Recorded World was Set on Fire," Curt addresses issues of memory and memory loss, specifically as they relate to disappearing (film) and still emerging (digital) recording technologies. 

The opening begins at 7pm and the film screening begins at 9pm.

The Dang Heathens at Deerhead!

Pretty self-explanatory. The Dang Heathens are a band and they are awesome and they play at Deerhead which is also awesome, and there is a family room where the band can still be heard and potentially somewhat seen.

Show starts at 9pm.
