Translated Keroro Files No.001 - No.022
these are the "files" for the characters written from keroro's perspective in the game "Keroro Gunso the Super Movie: Gekishin Dragon Warriors de arimasu!" that's on the DS and released in 2009 a little before the fourth movie came out
i've seen segments of these translated but never all of them or in order, so hopefully if i finish these they’ll be semi-organized. or maybe they’re all translated sitting somewhere and i just don’t know about it yet
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i would like to say these are all of the main 5's files but it's not 😭 there's a few more way later down the line. after this is garuru's platoon and stuff which i'll get started on......eventually......
Some Additional Notes:
File No. 1: Look up “Zaku Gundam” you will not be disappointed
File No. 9 & No. 12: Remember when Kogoro got to be an actor with Lavie? That’s this; “tokusatsu” is just a Japanese genre that’s based around superhero’s and special effects. Also I’m 99% sure Keroro’s name is parodying Mazinkaiser
File No. 10: Dangale is the fictional knockoff version of Gundam in this franchise; supposedly the lore goes that it sucks so bad that it auctions for a ton of money since they didn’t make many
File No. 13: I grew up with this Tamama being “Comrade Führer” but I suppose this is a substantially less offensive title
File No. 16: I don’t have anything important to say; I just want to make it known that I’m very uncomfortable with the fact he doesn’t look like a tadpole in this
File No. 19: Keroro is a fucking liar Giroro did NOT enjoy being sash pulled in the 2nd movie. For context an “obi” is the traditional sash worn with a kimono, and it’s a trope to yank it hard enough to make the (typically) girl spin around
— I got the screenshots for this from the youtuber Soroaxas, who did a full playthrough on the game. I’d totally recommend checking out their completed run through if interested they seem pretty cool

Two weeks ago, female wrestler Vinesh Phogat became the first woman from India to make the Olympic finals—and was promptly disqualified for being 100 grams overweight.
On August 9, Vinesh Phogat announced her retirement from the sport of wrestling in a post on X. After the previous day’s incidents, it was a message that many had been expecting.
Vinesh experienced the highest of highs at the Paris Olympics. She defeated an unbeaten Olympic champion wrestler who was considered not just the favourite in her weight division but across every weight division at the quadrennial event. She became the first Indian woman wrestler to reach an Olympic final. However, Vinesh also faced the lowest of lows at the Olympics. No one had ever reached an Olympic final only to be denied the chance to compete because they had failed to make weight on the day of the competition.
Vinesh had taken her case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, seeking at least to be awarded a silver medal by virtue of reaching the final. If she had succeeded, she would have set a precedent, but, much to the disappointment of the nation, her appeal was turned down by the sole arbitrator, Annabelle Bennett.
...
Vinesh has always been a fighter. Tragedy has followed her, yet somehow, against the odds, she has emerged victorious.
When she was nine, her father was shot dead by someone in her village, believed to be a mentally disturbed relative, just outside their front door. Her mother, a young widow, refused the custom of marrying her husband’s brother. She battled cancer single-handedly. Through it all, she raised a firebrand daughter, who refused to back down.
Her cousins, who grew up near her home, were the more famous girls of the family. Geeta and Babita were among the first to win gold at the Commonwealth Games. They had a movie made about them — Dangal — which made the ‘Phogat sisters’ iconic in Indian sports.
Vinesh didn’t feature in that movie. The events described in it took place too early in her career. But she wouldn’t be satisfied with being one of the Phogat sisters — she would become ‘The Phogat’ sister.
Talk to any of her peers .— and even some of her rivals in Indian wrestling – and there is, in some cases, grudging, genuine respect. She is considered the most instinctive and natural wrestler India has ever produced in women’s freestyle wrestling.
Her career is as much a highlight reel as anything out of a movie. No one in women’s wrestling compares. No Indian woman wrestler has won three Commonwealth gold medals as she did in 2014, 2018, and 2022. No one has won an Asian Games gold medal as she did in 2018. No one has won two World Championships medals as she did in 2019 and 2022.
The one medal missing from her collection is the Olympic medal — which she fought bitterly for.
...
Vinesh has had terrible luck at the Olympics — the only competition that seems to matter to Indians. In 2016, she was one of the favourites in the Indian team before her knee was bent out of shape in the quarterfinals. In 2020, she was one of the world’s favourites to medal in the women’s 53kg weight class. Then, suddenly, a freak weight cut left her physically and psychologically broken, unable to coordinate her movements on the mat. She lost to a wrestler she had beaten comfortably just a month before. Now, in Paris, another poor weight cut left her at the lowest point of her wrestling career.
Her battles, though, haven’t been restricted to the mat. Perhaps the most significant one Vinesh has fought has been for the safety of young girls in the sport. In pursuing this fight, she took on one of the most powerful men in Indian sports — Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
When her rivals were preparing for the Olympics, Vinesh was fighting on the streets of New Delhi, where she, and few other fellow wrestlers, accused Brij Bhushan, a five-time member of parliament and the long-time president of the Wrestling Federation, of sexual harassment.
The longer she stayed on the streets, the slimmer her chances on the mat became. Yet, she continued to prioritise what she felt was right. In doing so, Vinesh showed the kind of courage almost uniformly lacking in most sportspersons in India. Most of them, as the saying goes, “crawl when asked to bend.” Vinesh’s spine has been ramrod straight. She had the courage to take on the system without caring about the consequences. She displayed it even though it cost her what she loved the most — the chance to wrestle.
Only when her protest was forced off the streets and entered the court did Vinesh finally get a chance to compete.
This article delves into her struggle to rein in her weight as the Olympic timeline unfolded. It's horrifying to read.
TW for fatphobia and people with eating disorders and body dysmorphia: fatphobia:
Even as she had been winning, Vinesh’s nutritionist had been nervously monitoring her food and fluid intake.
She had a celebratory glass of juice in the morning right after she had first made weight – 300 grams. She had another couple of litres of fluid to rehydrate herself before her bout - another 2000 grams of body weight gained. A couple of light snacks throughout the day to keep her energy up meant 700 grams more.
By the time Vinesh was done with her day’s competition, she weighed 52.7 kg.
August 7:
As the hours rolled into the night, it was clear that something had gone very wrong. After weeks of dehydration, the human body, once it gets rehydrated, simply refuses to give up water. Even urination becomes impossible.
Vinesh didn’t sleep all through the night of August 6. She was on the treadmill for six hours and in the sauna for another three. She didn’t consume a bite of food or drink a drop of water. Every few hours, she stood on a weighing scale. The numbers were getting smaller but not fast enough. In desperation, her coaches trimmed the elastic in the bottom of her costume. They thought of chopping her hair and then did it.
But the scale didn’t budge.
The function of weight classes is to prevent outsized mismatches in strength due to body mass and minimize injury. Pathologizing what is clearly water weight to this extent and subjecting athletes to this kind of psychological torture due to minute variables is simply making what is essentially a safety measure into a punitive arbitrary criteria that has huge implications for racialized fatphobia for female athletes and the reinforcement of toxic diet culture across the board. It's misogynistic, unscientific and fucked. This article goes into more detail about Phogat's career-long battle with her weight— a yo-yo of losing too much, and then too little. Indistinguishable from an eating disorder, only one imposed by the standards of international sports.
You will never convince me that a white athlete would have been disqualified in the lightest weight category for a weight less than a bar of soap. The disqualification retroactively places her dead last, which is added cruelty. The refusal to revise this and even award her a joint silver is just adding racist insult to racist injury.
Phogat spoke two days ago about her devastation at being disqualified by racism and fatphobia with a three page post on twitter.
And on top of all of this, because the Indian National Congress political party welcomed her with a road show that outshone the alt-right BJP's own planned welcome, the Hindutvas in her own country have launched a hate campaign against her.
Tumblr media
This copy-paste has "disqualified in Rio 2016" trending on twitter. It's doubly cruel and fatphobic because she wasn't disqualified for being overweight, she sustained a knee injury.
After the witch hunt against Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting, I'm just so fucking done with the Olympics. The outsize importance of this competition is nothing but an anvil to break entire careers on and offers female athletes of colour on a platter for all the world's vultures.

F1 Racing: Fast and Furious 🏎️💨
A story of a pahadi guy who grew up watching Dangals, Wrestling, Cockfightings, Bull Surfing in his childhood never really grasped the concept of fast cars and slow life... Until his childhood was over and stepped into the bigger world where everything was fast and happening... But he remained stubborn to his orthodoxes...
Tumblr media
Until he met her, A young Delhite girl who was totally opposite to him... She was not your regular Delhi girl... She was different... While the guy was that hot tempered, shifting hands with others type bulked lunatic... She was calm and composed and angelic human being... She was a very unique type of person, a angel who was once sent to the earth to make the lives of her fellow human beings easier but all the mortals humans did was cut off her beautiful wings... Made her feel vulnerable and bad about herself...
A angel who once had her angelic wings, now to compete with the society decided to grow thorns and horns...
Restricting herself from others and deciding never to trust another human being again soo much that it'll hurt her soo deeply...
Tumblr media
Until she met that pahadi guy, at first she was reluctant of him... Knowing well how much she gets carried away... But that guy did his best to console her and made her feel comfortable around him... He kissed her scarred wings and said you're beautiful my love... And in return she gave herself out to him completely, it was the first time she opened up to someone this much about herself and her life...
Tumblr media
And the guy swore that moment that he'll never break her trust ever until his last breaths...
A guy who never saw fast cars in his life, started to follow F1 Races and Max Verstappen... He started to do everything to know more about his queen and her favorites... Soo she can be more comfortable with him and be herself...
Tumblr media
To that Pahadi guy,
Always be with your queen, she's the best... I know there are too many stories and notes you want to post related to this story... Don't worry, I'll post all of them slowly slowly...

gender oppression is the result of language.
post modern feminists
the crux that the above statement holds is how the society & their derogatory remarks has been gender based. the common connotations that we use in daily life more often shows the patriarchal approach since the ages.
for ex : in the modern times, the women reproductive part is used as a term to symbolise a person who's weaker in any manner, who's lacking gut approach a task. while on the other hand men's weakest point - 'the testes' is again used to define the same feeble will of a person as in "you don't have balls man".
the society/the family/the group has always used language mechanisms to lower the standard of a woman. one might hear it on a daily basis. for ex : in Dangal Movie Amir Khan quoted " मारी छोरियां, छोरो से कम हैं के" at a moment it feels like wow but then you realise that even to lift up the girls spirit he's actually accepting that the bar set up by the boys is actually higher than the girls. he's actually establishing a mere fact that girls are not equal.
let me give you another example: tiger shroff's famous meme "छोटी बच्ची हो क्या" nobody questioned why not ’ बच्चा ’ which symbolises that yes the society accepts that the women are the trademark of 'crying'.
every slang which modern society uses to show the anger is based on demeaning a woman or her body parts & even the woman enjoys using such slang which shows how effortlessly the language has penetrated our mind.
once we start making ourselves of the fact that the major part of our life is governed by the kind of language or dialects we use. we can change the discrimination in any major grounds.

Film Review
Tumblr media
Title: Dangal
Cast: Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, Ritwik Sahore, Aparshakti Khurana, Girish Kulkarni
Director: Nitesh Tiwari
Writters: Nitesh Tiwari, Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nikhil Meharotra
Plot: An ordinary wrestler from Haryana trains his daughters to make wrestling history, a sport far dominated by men.
+ Amir Khan’s super fluctuating yet convincing body parameters
+ Intense father-daughter emotions peppered with humorous Haryanvi dialogues
+ Nail-biting wrestling sequences
A sports biopic, Dangal totally justifies the real life story of Haryana wrestler who trained his older two daughters in the art of wrestling and turned them into champions. The film delivers a very important message with such sincerity that it just doesn’t overwhelm the storytelling.
Messages on our obsession with the male child, bigoted stand on bringing up our daughters and the administration’s wretched attitude towards sports, are loud and clear.
Amir Khan is a pure finesse who can go to any extent to completely erase the boundary which detaches the actor from the character. His deliberate gaits to match with the demand of the role as an aspiring wrestler with muscles and a passionate father with a heavy belly can easily convince you that the movie has really covered an era while making.
In the male dominant state of Haryana, where the girl child is still unacceptable in most of the families, there cannot be a more important message. The belief that real-life Phogat showed in his girls, as they went on to win honor is definitely setting an example.
Also, Dangal blends humor with intensity. The lighthearted dialogues, peppered with humor and heartrending father-daughter emotions runs throughout the movie. When the first half of the movie shows how the young Geeta and Babita turn into willing fighters from young innocent girls, the second half on the mat tells us how to learn the art of losing, and, above all, to win. Among the high ends of this well-crafted film are the nail-biting wrestling sequences.
But what wins our heart is the not-so-perfect yet so perfect character of Mahavir Phogat. He is guilty of taking away his daughter’s childhood and turning them into the boys that he doesn't have. But his obstinacy ends up breaking all the traditional taboos of this patriarchal society for its own good.
The film also delineates the conflicting points of traditional coaching methods of father versus modern techniques of the system with sheer serenity.
Along with Mr. Perfectionist, a big credit for this sporting saga goes to Fatima Sana Shaikh for bringing the character of Geeta Kumari Phogat, Mahavir's eldest daughter to life. Sakshi Tanwar, as Khan’s wife, is a first-class choice, known yet fresh enough. Her role is restrained but totally compatible with the storyline.
The earthy soundtracks, especially ‘Haanikarak Bapu’ fits just right with the mood of the narrative.
Dangal is a film that is both inspiring and entertaining. Since it highlights the glorious wins of the Phogats, the film is also bound to encourage more women to seriously take up kushti as a sport.

Challenges by the gender stereotypes: Female perception in Indian culture
In the vast tapestry of Indian society, with its riches in traditions and cultural diversity, women always have had a central role. However, they were also enclosed in tough gender stereotypes that, for centuries, dictated their roles, behaviors, and opportunities. Today, as India strides forward into progress, women from different parts of the country constantly challenge these stereotypes, rewrite narratives, and stand their ground in this modern world.
Indian society, just like most others, was patriarchal. Women had the status of nothing more than custodians and housewives, heavily restricted to the realm of the domestic sphere. Men were held to be breadwinners and decision-makers. These roles were further fortified through cultural and religious practice and the common sense and mores of the time.
Old perceptions have such leftovers as "Girls shouldn't play sports," "Engineering is for boys," or "Women are not natural leaders." Such stereotypes restrict women's choices and deny the society their potential.
Indian women, from the boardroom to Bollywood, from villages in rural India to urban landscapes, break their myriad stereotypes in every possible dimension.
Leadership: Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of biotech, Indira Nooyi of global business, and political leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Sushma Swaraj prove that leadership has no gender discrimination.
Sports: Women icons like Mary Kom and PV Sindhu have broken the notion that sport is a manly domain and inspired millions of young girls to think big.
Science and Technology: Women scientists like Tessy Thomas, popularly known as the "Missile Woman of India," have opened up avenues for a number of others in areas that otherwise were a man's preserve.
Change: Even rural women are bringing about change. Whether leading panchayats as sarpanchs or running self-help groups as entrepreneurs, they are breaking conventions and changing their worlds.
Role of Education: Education is a very effective tool to break all stereotypes. The "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign, which gives importance to girls' education and attacks the biases of society against them, focuses on creating level playing fields for both genders.
Public awareness and media participation in such issues also are substantial for changing societal perception. Films like Dangal and Chak De! India bring out the power of the female fraternity as they have equal opportunities, bringing about a shift in the public opinion.
Such transition towards a more gender equal society involves not just women going out of their stereotypical roles but the whole of society understanding and breaking the shackles. The more women challenge and redefine their roles, the more they empower themselves and lay down a firm ground for a new, more inclusive, and progressive India.

I'm watching « dangal » and I was like this bride looks extremely young and she's talking about being married off at 14. 14??? I'm not Mahavir Singh's №1 fan or anything but this girl was right about wrestling being a preferable path

jumping up and down like a mad woman at the Kill Bill mention!!! I LOVE THOSE MOVIES! Still seeing as I've seen both of them already, Overboard seems like the next best option. Catch me watching it later and I'll send the same thing I did last time. I'll give you the same form of recommendations.
Three Idiots (2009) ⭐
Three best friends navigate the ups and downs of college life, facing school, love, and society as a whole. Years later, due to a bet, two of the friends reunite and go on a journey to find the other, meeting old friends and enemies along the way.
This is SUCH a comfort movie! The 3rd act gets a bit absurd but this film is honestly so funny and heartfelt. Of the ones on this list, I think i recommend this ome the most though it's up to you and your preferences. TW for suicide.
Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008)
Best friends Aditi and Jai (A.K.A Meow and Ratz) are in love. Problem is, they don't know it. Adamant that they don't like each other, and with their parents ready for them to get married, the two decide to find partners for eachother. Told in flashback by members of their friend group while they wait to pick them up from the airport after the couple's honeymoon.
The way this movie would make an amazing fic lol. THE friends to lovers romance with an amazing soundtrack and, as is typical for this Era of movie, a semi absurd 3rd act.
Jab we met (2007)
Bubly Geet and pessimistic Aditya meet on a train and through a series of events, end up traveralveling together to Geet's hometown. While there Aditya gets roped into Geet's plan to elope with her boyfriend, but as the plan begins to unfold, the two realize they might have feelings for each other. Later, Aditya sets out to find Geet again but discovers something shocking.
Ooooh, this one is fun. I'd call this strangers to friends to lovers. Both Geet and Aditya are such fun characters and it's all just so amazing to watch! It does get a bit slow around the intermission, but stick around for the most interestingly framed hug scene ever. Also, Aditya kinda looks like Indian Cillian Murphy, but that's irrelevant.
Dangal (2016)
Based on the (dramatized) true sorry of sisters Geeta and Babita Phogat. This movie primarily follows the girls' father, an ex wrestler, as he trains his daughters to become wrestlers and compete in tournaments. He trains them despite their initial resistance but eventually trains them into accomplished wrestlers.
Okokokok I'm explaining this one badly but it's good, trust. At its core though, this is a sports movie so it's very sporty vibes, but with the occasional (surprisingly well done) emotional beat.
Take your pick, babe 💜
-♡♡
I love Kill Bill. It's really special to me. I have the yellow jumpsuit 🥹
Catch me attempting to get my dad (judo/Jiu jitsu instructor) to watch Dangal with me and my sister while I'm here 🥹. If not, I just gotta wait until I get back 😩. Three Idiots also sounds like my vibe.
Thank you for your movie recs, ♡♡. I can't wait to sink my teeth into them!
