had my friends send me random chapter numbers from the dandadan manga, and picked a panel from each chapter to redraw, hehe! I was just kinda messing around with these and getting a feel for the characters, so some are a bit wonky, but I had fun so that's what matters

First full illustration of the year! And I did it in ProCreate, which was a bit difficult but I hope to get better at it and learn new things to play more with my art style 🤗

Can I say that I LOVE how supportive Ayase's friends are?

I feel in any other story, the glamorous best friends wouldn't want their friend to be dating a dork.

Instead, see that Okarun is a sweet guy who is ready to defend Momo's honor, and they are like "Oh thank fuck he isn't like your last one, please don't break up with this one."

Gyaru Okarun(Gyakarun, if you will)'s full outfit! Gyakarun... I adore you... (A quick reminder.)

About the outfit:

Momo, Miko, and Muko/Kei put it together! Momo convinced Okarun to let her do his makeup "all gal style", but she said she'd do it low-key, like her friend Miko's.

She does not do that. She goes all out.

And I don't have it ironed out exactly what happens after,, but she ends up calling over Miko and Muko/Kei. They bring supplies (Miko bringing her makeup and Muko bringing hair extensions) and have fun dressing him up in different outfits!

They do a "kogal work in progress" (that he was not comfortable with lmao), a gyaruo, a kogyaruo, and a final kogal with some stockings for comfort <3

After they get him all dressed up, they're too excited to not get dressed and go somewhere too.

They drag him along to go explore the city with them (because what else do you do when you're an all-dressed-up high schooler), and they end up going shopping because Okarun doesn't have a bag with keychains and plushies and plushie keychains! What kind of gal doesn't have accessories!?!?

And that's how the Purikura drawing happens, because they come across a booth at the shopping district :]
