Now that dog hill has been crushed, but big project hill is thriving, i am once again on my hands and knees BEGGING for dan is not okay to be made. I need it. I think as a concept, dan is not okay, if it is slightly separated from the Dan and Phil brand, and instead treated as its own seperate thing of a gay man in his 30s discovering and accepting who he is, with dan's (and phil's) style of humor, it could be such a big hit.

I AGREE i think dinok would be rly good,,,, but only if dan doesn't play himself in it 😭 he is good at stage acting which tends to lend itself well to YouTube videos but that does not always translate to like tv acting lmao, you know? and also that would go along with what u are saying about it being separated from the d&p brand

if we're talking solo projects I also am begging on my knees for a Phil horror sci-fi project 🙏🏻 or a game show or like whatever he was working on that got kiboshed by covid

this is so interesting to think about though. like, with this whole dan and phil renaissance going on, they are (rightfully) leaning into the joint branding. what would it look like for that to coexist with dan and/or phil doing major solo projects? like, before when they were really going hard as DAN AND PHIL, their YouTube channels were the only "solo" things they had, so respective big projects while also trying to balance the d&p brand/gaming channel would be such an intersting time in the phandom

People have been talking about how this is evidence they are getting a cat? I love cats and am a cat person and have a cat but I really don’t see Dan and Phil getting a cat at least not before they get a dog. To me this is evidence that they will get a dog after the tour is over because Phil said if he got a pet he’d get a corgi and the only reason they don’t have one right now is because they’re so busy going on tour and aren’t home very much. Also I don’t see how this would be different with a cat, yes they are often happier to be home alone but that’s for people that have normal jobs where they leave for part of the day, not months at a time. And I think what Phil was implying with showing the dead plant after is that he wouldn’t really trust a friend to watch their pet. He wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving a friend to watch it for long periods of time so it would need to be after the tour when they can give the dog the attention and love it deserves. So yeah basically I’m still on dog hill and I think they’re getting a dog after the tour.
