Rab and Wilson! @indo-ken 's OCs!

Wow this gives me an excuse to talk about rollingstock in my au so this is great!

They are Trucks believe it or not, its not very obvious here at first sight (maybe it is idk). In the Dampfross Au the trucks themselves are more of a Nest that they build. They are able to create some of the most stable constructs from scrap wood that humans use these nests to transport goods (with permission). In turn the trucks get a mobile home of sorts. They are called Holzding which means wood thing.

More aboot Rab and Wilson.

Rab, the red Holzding, lives on Sodor. He is notebly smaller than counterparts which makes him the butt of many jokes, often resulting in him being easily prone to anger.

Wilson (blue one) is also a Holzding who (just like Rab) is smaller than his other counterparts. Unlike Rab however he isnt bothered by the jokes and just ignores it. He is also the only one capable of calming an enraged Rab, he has an overall calm and reasonable demeanor.

I loved designing him sooo much. He is such a unique Character.

Here is a brief summary of the character that I wrote with the information that @pxmun2 has given me. I just added some more Pizzaz. I hope thats o.k...

Once upon a time, in a long-forgotten land, there lived a magical being with a magnificent golden antlers that shone in the sunlight. This creature, as old as the forests in which it lived, was as loyal as it was free-spirited. Playful yet given to seriousness when the need arose. He is very brave and very popular among the people like the steam horses. He was once the guardian of the Dampfrosses until one day, on one of his journeys to a small island later known as Sodor, he discovered a lonely abandoned Dampfross pup. He became her teacher and mentor. In time, she became the new guardian of the Dampfrosses with her own golden antlers.

The old guardian, also a friend of the humans, was a friend to one named Dinah. They had a bond so strong that they were like siblings. But time weakened the guardian's friend. As a magical being he is long-lived, as a human Dinah was bound to death and could not escape it. Time robbed his sibling of her strength. She became weaker and weaker and death came. With Dinah no longer among the living, the guard had to be put away for the safety of others, for he had changed. He was once a kind, trusting and helpful creature. Now nobody knows what has become of him. Not even his pupil, the new guardian.

Cuddles

I mentioned before that Dampfross Lose their antlers every year in winter and grow new ones in spring. Winter is also time for cuddles. Most will cuddles with their family or their chosen partner(s). If there are pups, they will attempt to bury themselves in their parents warm coats. Cuddling also helps strengthen bonds amongst Dampfrosses.

Injury

Henry lost Part of his front leg in the Kipper crash. Now he has a prosthetic so he can still pull trains.

Edward's scars from his exploit are not as visible anymore as they used to be, especially under his Winter coat. When he has his summer coat though you can sometimes tell upon a closer look that his fur does not grow back properly around the scared area.

James's ear is partially missing from his first crash and he has light scaring around his eye. (His coat looks the way it does here because of coal dust, dirt and matted fur).

Another OC from @gronkgal

Shes a BR class 37 and the daughter of Bowler.

Because shes a diesel she isnt a Dampfross but a a different type of Locomotive beast called a Dieselrind which means Diesel bovine in english.

They share many similarities when it somes to strength and size. Where things start to differentiate is speed (depending on the Dieselrind) endurance and most importantly diet. In my Au Dieselrind became more popular because of they are capable of eating less but are still able to perform at the same levels as a Dampfross. The reduced costs in nourishment and overall maintainance made them more favorable and slowly started replacing dampfrosses as a means of transport.

I kinda wanna do a thing...

So I got a little bit of time on my hands again for a while. So I thought it would be fun to (with permission of course) draw some OCs as Dampfrosses!

I'll do about 10 or so and send you the results. The only thing I request is that I be allowed to post it on my Page with Credit to the OC's creator.

I would need some Details about your OCs build (for example a specific type of engine class or a fantasy type) and a basic description of their character.

I still need to figure out how I'm gonna do the whole 10 picture thing if I get many or barely any asks. Maybe I could do like a quiz or sumthin... i dunno. I would like to hear some thoughts.

JAYLEN and GRACE

So this took waaaaaay longer than anticipated due to personal matters. I apologise sincerely for that. Anyway these two beauties are the creations of @unknowncreature19.

This is a basic description of their character:

Grace is a nice hardworking Ross who has a tendency to be frightful at times. Most of the time though she is frustrated with her brother Jaylen who is the polar opposite of her. More cocky and self centered with a temper to match. Lashing out at Humans and Dampfrosses alike. Though he has mellowed out over the years he still has his moments.

Edward the Herd-Elder. He sports the largest set of antlers on the island.

The Dampfross grows new and bigger antlers every year, though they dont grow as rapidly as they age like with most deer. Every year their antlers grow about a cm. With younglings the antlers grow more than a cm until they reach a specific age. When they throw off their antlers they grow a winter coat to help them in the cold. They shed the coat when the new antlers start growing around the end of winter/ start if spring.

Thought I'd get on this train, If anybody knows me they know I am a sucker for horror. So ttte and horror is an absolute win for me. One of my by far favorites is Horrors of Hawin Lake. I really the buildup from the first two parts and then Dane's reveal in the Chilling Cutting. I always loved a good spook and this nailed it👻. So here is the one and only Dane as a Dampfross with that famous award winning smile.
