Travel Blog #1: Puting Buhangin, Kuwebang Lampas Pagbilao, Quezon

Summer is the season where we can hangout with our family and friends. It is what we call “vacation time” especially for us, students, it gives us time to relax and explore new things.  It gives us an opportunity to take a break from our daily study routine and adopt new hobbies like gardening, dancing and painting, while also having fun with friends.

Puting Buhangin is a beach where in the water is calm without waves, whereas the sand ranges from velvety and fine, to coarse with corals. The beach is prepared with a latrine and shower, a comfort store, and cottages for lease. At one end of the cove is Kuwebang Lampas, a small cave tunneling about 15 meters in length. 

It was summer, I together with my church mates planned to have a vacation at  Kuwebang Lampas, Pagbilao Quezon.It is one of the most beautiful beach that I have ever gone to. It’s not that expensive and crowded unlike other beaches or maybe it’s not very known before. For our transportation we rented a jeep. We brought our own food so that we won’t buy anymore

Nagpunta kami sa Garisoles Farm sa Candelaria, Quezon. Sobrang init noon pero game na game ang mga tita at pinsan ko magpa-picture. Syempre, nakisama din ako.

Bandang mga lunch na kami nakarating sa resort ng kamag-anak ng tito ko. Prang ni-rentahan namin yong buong resort. Kami lang ang mga tao. Gawa ng katangahan ko, nakapikit akong nag-swimming kaya tumama yong nguso ko sa floor ng pool. Pumutok upper lip ko. Hahahaha! Ang tanga tanga. Walang signal sa lugar at doon na rin kami nagpalipas ng gabi.

Gumising kami ng 4am para maaga makarating sa Padre Burgos pero mga 6am naman dumating yong ni-rentahan na jeep.

Sumakay kami ng bangka papunta sa unang isla. Mga 20 minutes ride from mainland. Nag-stay kami sa Dampalitan Island after kumain ng almusal tapos sumakay ulit sa bangka para pumunta sa isa pang isla. Mga 45 minutes na ride din. Sa Kwebang Lampas kami pumunta. Doon na rin nagswimming. Ang dami naming remembrance sa kweba na yon. Ang dami naming sugat, gasgas, hiwa na maliliit sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng katawan. Madudulas at matatalas yong ibang bato.

Bumalik din kami sa Dampalitan after ilang oras para dun na magpahinga at kumain ulit.

Mga 4pm kami bumyahe pauwi ng Sariaya. Nagvideoke ang mga tita at kami namin nila mama ay nagready na pauwi. Meron kasi akong contract signing kinabukasan ng umaga at may pasok pa yong isa kong kapatid kaya hindi kami pwedeng mag-stay ng matagal.

Dati, tuwing dadayo kami sa Sariaya, pinakamaikli na yong isang linggo bakasyon doon. Ngayon, iba na. May kaniya kaniya na rin kasi kaming gawain, trabaho at nawalan na ng interes magtatambay lang sa bahay. Nevertheless, nag-enjoy naman kaming lahat. Sana sa susunod na summer, mas kumpleto na. Madami pang kulang nyan.
