yā€™all make it to clear youā€™re jumping at any chance you can to hate on dave filoni, not even criticism just straight up unfounded hatred lol
if you are trying to twist the acolyte getting cancelled into ā€œthis is all daveā€™s faultā€ you clearly have no idea what youā€™re talking about. never mind thatā€™s not even what his job is, there are countless interviews mentioning daveā€™s involvement in the show AND he was in a ton of promotional material with leslye for the show. the acolyte was clearly cancelled by higher up execs; bob iger literally said he was going to cut back on spending especially in regards to the streaming services over a year ago. certain fans have created this fake reality where dave filoni controls absolutely everything and doesnā€™t support creators whichā€¦.thereā€™s truly been no proof of lmao.

Man if Star Wars is gonna shove Mandalorians down our throats constantly can they at least give us a show that explores Satine's rise to power?
I want to see the moment Satine chose paficism because from what we can infer she was raised in a traditional Mandalorian way. I want to see that year on the run with Obi-wan and Qui-gon. Show us how this woman used diplomacy and new ideas to unite her people. Show us the warlords tired of fighting and wanting a change. I want to see her policies that focus on rebuilding their home, how she chose to focus her style to remind people of what Mandalore use to be before all the in fighting turned it into a dust bowl.
Show me the story of the woman who took on rebuilding her home alone and manged to rule Mandalore for decades.

Watched Clone Wars and am now consuming The Bad Batch andā€¦
Look, I genuinely didnā€™t have ā€˜caring for a bunch of clones and their storiesā€™ on my bingo card.
But here we are.

There are no words to describe the pain of that moment. I felt like I need to scream in agony but canā€™t make a soundā€¦ā€¦.. theyā€™ve been threatening this all season, but I didnā€™t think theyā€™d actually go through with it. That hurt in ways I didnā€™t think were humanly possible to feel pain. And Omega is going to have to tell Crosshair.ā€¦. Some broken hearts never heal. And some people (*cough* Filoni *cough*) are sadistic

Dave Filoni I am in your walls
Have you no shame? Do you not read? Where's Eli? Where's my girl Karyn Faro? What do you mean Thrawn isn't the one who came up with the TIE Defender program? Which, and I may be wrong, is on Lothal since like the entire plot of Rebels (which you directed) was that Thrawn's fun pet project was a Problem for everyone there? And what's with this "Long live the Empire" bullshit? The Thrawn Timothy Zahn created didn't give a damn. You know, the Timothy Zahn that wrote six entire full length novels to accommodate for Star Wars canon? That Timothy Zahn?

YO.
Iā€™m watching Sabineā€™s Mandalore arc in Rebels season 3 and thereā€™s some CRAZY foreshadowing here for her in Ahsoka.
Iā€™m at the scene where Ursa betrays Sabine and hands over Kanan, Ezra, and the Darksaber to Gar Saxon on the promise that he not harm her daughter.
And Gar Saxon - voiced by RAY STEVENSON who played Baylon Skoll in Ahsoka - drops this line to Sabine.
ā€œYour mother betrayed everything you believe in to save you.ā€
Maybe foreshadowing isnā€™t quite the right word (since Filoni hadnā€™t even written Ahsoka yet) here, but what Ursa did basically being the template for Sabineā€™s actions to save Ezra ten plus years later is BONKERS.
Sabineā€™s actions echo her motherā€™s in such an uncanny way. It has to be a coincidence since this was written way before Ahsoka but, damn, what a striking parallel.
Ursa practically handed Mandalore and two of the last living Jedi over to the Empireā€™s rule. And Sabine gave Thrawn the key to his return and the potential resurgence of the Empire.
They both made the same choice: exchanging innocent lives for a loved oneā€™s safety (albeit Sabineā€™s choice was on a galactic scale).
You could literally use that same line Gar Saxon delivers with one minor change - this time to a devastated Ezra.
ā€œSabine betrayed everything you believe in to save you.ā€

Like mother, like daughter.
Iā€™m losing my marbles over this. Itā€™s like poetry, it rhymes.

YOU GUYS I WROTE THIS OUT OF FEAR EARLIER IN THE SEASON AND HOPED I'D NEVER POST IT, BUT NOW I HAVE TO. I'M STILL CRYING SO MUCH!!!
I'm SO AFRAID we're gonna lose Tech!!!
and it's gonna be with some heart-wrenching line, like:
"and I'd do it all again for you Omega/Crosshair. That's what family does, is it not?"
or, since we know Dave is a fan of Gandalf, something like his infamous
"all we get to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"
or, even
"I did not get to choose how I lived, but I would gladly choose this death a thousand times"
^ TELL ME IT WASN'T THAT LAST ONE, WE ALL KNOW THAT WAS TECH'S WAY OF SAYING THIS!!!

Jedi Uncrits: "Anakin didn't want to make any sacrifices, he didn't want to have to choose between the order and Padme, he was greedy and he wanted to have his cake and eat it too, they would have never worked out. Hell, he didn't even WANT to talk about the baby, he was just obsessed of having the perfect fantasy politician wife."
ROTS Novelization: Shows Anakin was legitimately going to want make the sacrifice of leaving the Jedi Order when the war ends
ROTS Deleted scene: Shows Anidala talking about whether their baby will be a boy or a girl(not knowing it's both)
Jedi Uncrits: ...ok....but that's not exactly canon. Sure, deleted scenes were canon in Legends but not so much in Disney canon. And plus, Lucas never cared too much for legends anyways so whatever legends stuff you bring up "don't count".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is despite the fact that Matthew Stover LITERALLY talked with George Lucas intensively when it came to this novel, so he had significant imput over the novels. Ditto for RA Salvatore with the AOTC novelization(which also included A LOT of deleted scenes and character monologues that completely dispell the notion that "Anakin and Padme never really knew each other".
If Lucas really wanted Anidala to be inherently toxic and demonstrative of total selfishness, he was in a perfect position to tell Matthew Stover or RA Salvatore "no" when it came to these deleted scenes or the extremely tragic romantic way Anidala was framed in the ROTS novelization--hell he told Filoni "no" several times when they were making the Clone Wars. If what we are supposed to take away from Anakin's character arc is that he wanted his cake and eat it with regards to having a Jedi and a family, Lucas was in a position where he could have told Stover "don't include these scenes, they're going to make people miss the point entirely and sympathize with a relationship they aren't supposed to sympathize with".
But he didn't.
So it's clear that some of these deleted scenes were meant to be part of the story in Lucas' head or part of GL's own headcanon.
Now ask yourself this: Would George Lucas view Anakin's fatal flaw as simply not making any hard sacrifices between love and the Jedi if literally the ROTS novelization entertains the idea of him wanting to give up his position for Padme?
We also have to understand the concept of "greed", "selfishness", and "possessiveness" as stated by Lucas in Anakin's situation/fatal flaw is a failure to accept death and let people go, a belief that he is entitled to play god and conquer death(which is at the very least rooted in trauma and no one properly teaching him to accept loss, which fucked up his psyche), NOT wanting everything he can't have and damn the consequences. Jedi uncriticals understand the first part of this(even through they downplay the trauma every time to make him look as evil as possible)....but then they abuse the term of "greed" to depict Anakin as wanting literally everything and not wanting to make a choice between love and family.
