DD2020: Heat
Marinette didn't understand why her teacher had gotten them a trip for Gotham in Winter! No matter how much she asked, her teacher refused to let her step inside anywhere for a hot drink. She hadn't been feeling well and all she wanted to do was pass out.
Damian Wayne took quick notice that one member of the French class was lagging behind. She also seemed to be shivering, even though she was bundled up.
"Are you okay?" he questioned, falling in step with her.
She nodded and continued to walk along with the class. Obviously, she was not fine.
"Hey." he spoke, grabbing her arm, "Where are you?"
"Gotham?" she responded.
"Where are we going right now?" he pushed.
"Um...tour?" she answered, not really sure.
"What day is it?" Damian asked.
This time he stumped her. She couldn't answer and she wasn't even trying to guess. Something was wrong.
"Dupain-Cheng, hurry up!" shouted a blonde girl, "Stop flirting with the tour guide!"
Damian ignored her and waved off the tour guide his father had sent. Marinette began to cough. She was doubled-over, covering her mouth.
"You're ill." Damian stated.
She pulled her jacket tighter around herself.
"You should be somewhere warm; not out in the cold." he continued.
"I'm the class president. I have to be responsible and be an example to the class." she said, rubbing her head.
"Did your teacher inform you of these expectations?" he questioned.
The girl nodded.
"Does she know you are ill?" Damian pushed.
The girl blinked confused for awhile, but nodded. He growled and pulled out his phone, quick.
"Alfred, I need you to pick up myself and a student in the French class." Damian demanded, "She is ill and I'm not sure for how long. We need her to be checked out."
He heard a noise behind him and turned around quickly.
"Hurry! She just collapsed in the snow!" he cried before hanging up.
He pulled Marinette into his arms, and brushed the snow off of her. He took off his gloves and pressed his hand to her forehead.
'She's as cold as ice!'
Alfred appeared suddenly with the car.
"Take us to the cave; immediately!" he shouted, yanking off his jacket, put it around her and brought her into his arms.
The Wayne family was shocked to see Alfred pulling in a town car into the cave. They were even more surprised to see Damian carrying an unconscious girl.
Damian immediately hit the console for medical use and brought her to the table.
"Her temperature is low." he said, turning to Alfred, "She's as cold as Freeze. I think she has hypothermia."
Alfred quickly rushed over.
"She was falling behind the class and shivering. Her teacher knew she was ill and still made her go out. She told her that since she was class president, she had to be responsible and set an example to the other students. " Damian announced, "She was slurring her speech, couldn't answer my questions. She didn't know where we were going or even the day. She seems exhausted."
"Watch over her, Master Damian." Alfred suggested, "I'll fetch the heating blankets."
"Tim, call her parents." Bruce demanded, "Get her name from Damian. Dick and I are going to speak with her class. Jason grab her things from the hotel. Keep me updated every step of the way!"
Bruce and Dick quickly met up with the class at Wayne Enterprise before their scheduled tour.
"Something happened earlier today and we felt you all had the right to know. Your classmate, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, was taken to a nearby hospital." declared Dick.
"Wow. I didn't think that Marinette was that big of an attention seeker." Lila whispered a bit loud to Alya.
Dick looked up from his phone and stomped over to the brunette.
"Marinette is not an attention seeker, Miss." he berated, "How dare you imply that! Marinette was diagnosed with hyperthermia. Do you think that something that can kill her is just for attention?"
Lila shook her head and kept it down. Bruce immediately turned to their teacher.
"My son spoke with your student. It was during that time that he realized something was wrong. You are not allowed to single out your students and demand for them to be a 'perfect example' for the rest of the class! You knew she was ill!" Bruce shouted, "Marinette's condition could have possibly worsened drastically from being out in the cold. Knowing that a child was sick, you could have informed the desk or called ahead to let us know a student would be staying behind. We easily could have done something. You never tell a child that they are to be responsible for someone else! If Marinette dies, it will be your fault and I will gladly help her parents sue you for malpractice and get your teacher's license revoked! Have I made myself clear?"
Caline nodded, close to tears.
"If there is one more incident due to your incompitance, I will cancel your trip." he declared.
"What about Marinette?" questioned Rose.
"One of my sons has already contacted her parents. They feel you are incapable of being a suitable guardian for their daughter. She is now in my care. Another son of mine has gone to gather her belongings from the hotel." Bruce spoke.
"I will be your tour guide from now on as we no longer trust you to do your job." Dick announced, "You will all be returning to your hotels today. I will use today to organize your plans, on my terms."
As the class began to head to the bus, Lila turned to look for Adrien. She found him speaking with the Waynes.
"I can't believe he yelled at me." she whimpered to Alya.
Alya nodded, ignoring Lila's problem, "I'm going to check on Miss Bustier. We can talk when we get back to our room."
"How is Marinette?" Adrien asked, "Can I visit her?"
"Not right now." Bruce answered, "My youngest is with her right now, keeping me updated."
"Do you know how this could have happened?" questioned Dick.
"Marinette gets cold easily. I'm not really sure why. During the winter, she is usually seen with a hot drink. At her house, she has a heated blanket with her constantly." he explained.
"Thank you." smiled Dick, "If you think of anything else, let me know. I'm gonna let my brother know so he can tell the nurses."
"Wait!" Adrien shouted.
"Something else?" the eldest brother asked.
"Um, she'll be in and out of sleep afterwards, so maybe keep the lights off or dimmed. I've only seen it once, where she's passed out from the cold, but just keep her warm. Keeping her warm is the main concern. Warm blankets and hot drinks; soup if possible." he continued.
Chat, I'm fine. I just need some hot soup or a hot drink when I'm cold.
Are you sure M'Lady?
I'll admit that Winter is hard on me, but my family knows. I stay bundled up throughout school. I take warm drinks with me everyday and I have a very nice heated blanket with me at all times at home. Don't worry; I know what to do so I don't hibernate. Tikki taught me.
Marinette!
What happened?
I don't know! She collapsed and won't wake up!
He watched as her mother checked her body temperature.
She's freezing. Adrien, can you help me get her to her room and under her heating blanket?
Yeah! Is she gonna be okay? Do I need to call an ambulance?
No; she'll be fine. She won't be going to school tomorrow and she'll be a bit in and out of it, but she'll be fine with some rest.
I don't understand; is she sick?
No, Dear. Marinette doesn't do well with cold weather. She passes out when she gets too cold. Some soup and hot tea and she'll be back to normal on Monday.
'Marinette is...Ladybug!'
Adrien was shaken from his thoughts as Dick placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you." he smiled, "You are a very good friend to Marinette to be so concerned for her and know so much about her condition. It seems like the others have no clue."
"Sh-She tried to keep to herself now." Adrien stuttered, still coming to his own realization.
"The girl that said she was an attention seeker?" he asked.
Adrien nodded, frowning. He watched the Waynes walk away, realizing how much of a fool he had been. He had pushed his lady away. He had made her suffer with Lila, constantly. Of course she was against giving Lila a second chance as Ladybug; she saw what happened in class.
You'd never want me as a civilian, Chat.
You don't know that!
I do. Everyone loves the hero, but me, who I really am; I'm nothing. I'm no one special. I see that now more then ever.
"Plagg, I...I messed up. I messed up big time." Adrien whispered, feeling his eyes cloud over, "I know her identity and I've only made her life harder!"
"Kid, it'll be fine." Plagg whispered back.
Adrien wiped his tears away, "Yeah. I'll prove to her how great I can be. First things first, call out Lila like she wanted me to do!"
Plagg purred happily in his kitten's pocket. He knew his charge would transform into who he was meant to be.
"Adrien! It's time to get on the bus!" Ms. Bustier cried out.
As Lila grabbed his arm, he shoved her off. He quickly grabbed Nino's arm and pulled him into a seat on the bus.
"We need to talk." he told Nino.
Jason returned with the girl's belongings and set them down in the parlor. He went back down to the cave to find Damian, asleep, with the girl in his arms, under the heated blankets. As he opened his mouth, Alfred motioned for him to follow him upstairs.
"Aren't you worried?" Jason questioned.
"We'll move her up here shortly, Master Jason." Alfred stated, "We are monitoring her health, right now."
"And Demon Spawn?" he asked.
"Body heat helps warm another body. We can keep her bundled up with the heated blanket, but it will only do so much." Alfred informed him, "Master Damian is seeing that she warms up faster so we can move her out of the cave."
Jason sighed, "Dick asked me to meet with him tomorrow for added security for her class. I'm gonna get some sleep. They sound like a pain."
Alfred nodded as he finished the soup and poured some hot chamomile tea in a thermos. He took the tray and left it near them, for when she woke up. Alfred looked back and smiled at his adoptive grandchild. He wasn't sure who the young girl was or what she had done to gain the ex-assassin's attention, but he was witnessing Damian's growth as a person. It only left him feeling proud.
Marinette blinked herself awake to find herself surrounded by darkness.
"Where?" she asked out loud, wondering where she was.
"Shhhh." Damian shushed her, "Lay down. You're at Wayne Enterprises. I'm Damian Wayne. You collapsed earlier." thankful that the lights in the cave were all off.
"I'm sorry!" Mari spoke.
"You have nothing to be sorry for. My brother spoke with Adrien. He said you get cold easily." Damian replied, "I noticed you were unwell earlier and brought you here to rest."
Marinette could feel the heat in her cheeks rise.
"Why are you holding on to me?" Marinette questioned.
"You were showing symptoms of hypothermia. I needed to warm you up quick." he answered, "I apologize if your uncomfortable."
"Oh! Th-Thank you!" Marinette exclaimed, "I was just curious, actually. It's so dark."
"Adrien explained you would be in and out of sleep. We just wanted you to be comfortable." Damian stated.
"Thank you." she yawned.
"Before you sleep, we have some tea and soup. Would you like something warm?" he asked.
"Tea, please." Mari spoke.
Damian gently eased her up and held the lid of the thermos to her lips.
"You were really cold." he stated.
"I'm sorry." she replied.
"You have nothing to be sorry for." Damian remarked.
Marinette leaned closer and could feel her eyelids getting heavier.
"I can leave if you prefer. I wouldn't want your boyfriend getting upset." Damian suggested.
Marinette yawned and leaned closer, enjoying the calming scent that was on him.
"No boyfriend." she yawned, "So warm." nuzzling right under his chin.
Damian could feel his cheeks warm as he held her close, lowering them back to rest. As he fell asleep, he was thankful the lights in the cave were off.
Marinette blinked away, adjusting to the brightness of the room. She looked around and saw she wasn't in an office building, but a bedroom. Next to her was Damian Wayne. Panicking, she backed up against the wall. Damian sat up and saw her slowly moving away.
"You shouldn't move." he spoke.
"Where are we?" Mari asked, keeping her distance.
"You are at Wayne Manor. We moved you here. My father no longer sees you teacher as an adequate supervisor for your trip. You parents agreed once they were informed of her decision to venture outside while you were ill. This will be your room, while you stay here." Damian stated, casually, getting out of the bed, "Feeling better?"
"I think so?" Marinette replied, still a bit confused.
"I'll get some soup and tea for you." Damian declared, leaving the room.
Marinette blushed as Damian returned with a carry tray. He sat it down next to her and handed her the hot tea. She took small sips. Damian noticed her wobbly hands and quickly grabbed the cup.
Damian took ahold of her hands, "I want you to squeeze my hands as hard as possible."
"What?" she asked.
"Squeeze my hands hard." he stated.
Marinette focused on his hands and squeezed, but even she could tell there wasn't much behind her grip. Damian slid his hands out of hers and got the bowl of soup. He took the spoon and dipped it into the broth, before presenting it to her. Marinette looked at him and blushed, before taking a bite.
'Damn my hands! Why does he have to have really dreamy green eyes?'
Marinette continued to eat. When she yawned, Damian immediately stopped and placed the spoon back in the bowl.
"Damian?" Mari whispered, "Why are you doing this? Not that I'm ungrateful or anything! I just..."
"Stay in bed." he spoke and left to return the tray to Alfred.
'Why am I doing all this? I'm compelled by some force to stay by her side, to keep her safe. She couldn't possibly understand that.'
When he returned, they began to play twenty questions: learning each others likes and dislikes. Damian found himself smiling more and more. As Marinette drifted off to sleep, he stayed by her side.
When she woke up once again, the room was dark. She could see a shadow slumped over by the edge of the bed.
'Damian?'
Marinette tapped him and wiggled closer towards the wall. She lifted the blanket and patted the space next to her. Damian crawled into the bed and pulled her close against his body.
'Warm.'
She wasn't sure why he cared so much about what happened to her, but she wouldn't let him sleep in a chair. He was going out of his way for her and it wasn't something she had felt for a long time; this amount of kindness.
Marinette returned to class a week later with a shadow next to her. The class could immediately see that the Waynes were extremely protective of her, especially the youngest. Damian stayed by her side constantly. He would buy her hot drinks, scarves, mittens, and beanies.
"Damian, you don't have to." Mari spoke, taking another hot chocolate from him, "You have no reason to spend money on me."
"What if that is my desire, My Little Bug?" he asked.
Adrien froze at the hidden meaning.
'Had she told him?'
" 'Little Bug'?" she questioned, "You know, most girl would find that offensive."
"You seem to get cold very easily, from what I heard, and when you do get cold, you hibernate. My motion stands." he declared.
Marinette pouted.
"But your cute so..... You can be.....My Ladybug." Damian stated.
Mari turned as red as her suit and gasped.
"Oh, did I strike a nerve?" he asked, "Has someone else called you that before?"
"Wh-What would that make you then?" Mari pondered, out loud, "If I'm.....'your bug', what are you to me?"
"You tell me." the young Wayne smirked, leaving her blushing.
Adrien quickly hurried to the front of the class. He couldn't bear to hear her call him 'her Chat Noir'. Somehow it hurt even more when he heard her call Damian, 'My Dove, My Saving Grave' the next day.
Damian wore a smug smile and began to call her 'My Angel'.
"What happened to 'Little Bug'? Marinette asked, blushing.
"Someone already claimed that and I want my own name for you." he answered.
Marinette never strayed far from his side after that.
"I upgraded your seat to first class. I figured you could use a break from the riff-raff and your uneducated teacher." he stated, carrying her bag through the airport.
"You didn't have to do that, but thank you." Marinette smiled.
Damian cleared his throat, "I'd like to keep getting to know you better."
"I'd like that too, Dami. That's why I gave you my number and email." Mari spoke.
"No. It seems I was unclear, Angel." he spoke, pulling her against his frame, "I'd like to get to know you as someone I see by my side in the future. Be mine, Habibiti?"
"I'd love to, Dami." Marinette smiled.
Adrien could feel his heart break. He was too late.
"I don't know how I'll be able to sleep without you by my side. You're much better then a heated blanket." she giggled.
Damian chuckled and kissed her forehead, "For now, one day at a time."
Their flight was called and first class was the first to board. Marinette quickly kissed his cheek and ran to the flight attendant. Damian watched her board and then walked over to Bustier.
"We have contacted your school board and they now know exactly what kind of teacher you are. Don't expect to be there long." the young Wayne declared before leaving the airport.
Lila immediately began to panic. Bustier was the only person who let her slide on things. If she left, she'd actually have to put in effort for her work. As it was, she hadn't been able to do anything to Marinette since she was taken away because she was sick. Then, she had her own security team. Now, she was in first class!
Lila began to form a plan and latched onto Adrien.
"Lila, get the fuck off me!" he shouted, loudly.
She could feel everyone's eyes on her as she loosed her grip on his arm. He immediately jerked it out of her grip.
"Adrien?" she questioned, with a smile.
"Stop clinging to me. It's annoying and I hate it. Go find someone to date if you want to cling to someone!" he declared before moving away from her entirely.
Alya patted her back as they began to board.
"Adrien has never been a touchy person. He runs away from fans all the time. Give him some space and ask next time." Alya stated, before heading to talk to Alix.
Lila could feel everything crumble around her. She was losing her biggest supporter's attention, Adrien was tossing her to the side after the deal they made, and now her 'friends' weren't listening to her? They were talking to each other instead of hanging off her every word! She knew one thing for certain. It was Marinette's fault, she just didn't know how.

DD Day One
So, I know I’m already behind, but I’m gonna attempt to do the whole calendar.
@maribat-calendar-events @daminettedecember
Day One: Abandon (Numb)/Fairytales
She had honestly known that Damian was too good for her, but it still hurt to get further confirmation, especially from he himself. What she did want to know, was what finally made him realize?
Marinette could hardly believe only minutes had passed, even though it felt like hours. Looking around again, she was once again crushed with the feel of abandonment.
Everything of his that had been in the apartment no more than 4 hours earlier was gone, with the spare key placed on the nightstand beside the bed.
At first, she thought it was just a trick, or maybe another kidnapping, but that was until she had noticed everything missing. Nobody would go that length to keep up appearances, right? And even if it was just a thief good at their game, would all of her stuff be left completely untouched?
The answer was no. No they wouldn’t. This seemed planned. But why? On Christmas? To break her heart? She hadn’t even thought to call him, or anyone else of the family, too deep in sadness to even think straight at the moment.
With shaky hands she reached for the fourth finger on her left hand. They had been engaged for no more than three months, and had been extensively planning a wedding. While Damian had never really liked looking through things, always finding it quite
frustrating, Marinette knew that he still loved the thought of how the wedding would be. Would have been, had he not left.
Marinette wasn’t quite sure what to do with the ring now. It was quite apparent that it was no longer needed, and holding on to it would only end up hurting her more in the long run.
Things were beginning to feel more and more hopeless. Normally, she would ask one of the kwamis for advice in this situation, but they were currently with Kagami for safekeeping. She would have called her mother, but- that just wasn’t possible.
Feeling herself start to get dizzy, she starts going through some breathing exercises. It would do no good to pass out. Getting up on shaky legs, Marinette began to catalog everything that she could do without, only wanting to bring whatever was irreplaceable, and the bare essentials.
Marinette knew she had enough money to go wherever she felt she needed to be. It’s not like she’s just been smooching off of Damian all this time. Still thinking back to her business, she decided that it may take a bit long to open back up, but she was glad she decided to close it before the holidays had started.
Drawing her phone out of her pocket, she almost cried when she turned it on. For the screen saver she had an image of Damian and herself standing side by side, holding hands in front of the Louvre, where they ended up having their first date in Paris.
With tears steadily dripping down her face once again, Marinette threw her phone across the room, can’t cringing when she heard something fall and break, but finding no motivation to go check on whatever it was.
Marinette felt herself reverting back to her Parisian mindset. It wasn’t something she herself, or even Ladybug did, just something Paris started doing as a whole. They believed it was better to turn off their emotions, rather than have them twisted.
Marinette didn’t stop it. It would be bliss to feel the numbness, rather than the feel of a broken heart. A fairy tale beginning it may have been, but there would be no happily ever after this time.
Walking into her bedroom, she trapped the first bag she could get her hands on. Shoving her supplies, wallet, and a pair of shoes into the bag, she quickly changed out of her dress, into a practical pair of jeans, a t shirt, and a jacket.
Still feeling a bit bitter, she grabbed her sketchbook and tore out the final design she had for the wedding dress. The one that she hadn’t shown Damian yet, which was supposed to be a surprise.
All of her hard work was wasted. On a man that apparently didn’t give a damn. Her mind whispered to her that that wasn’t the man she met, the boy she had been with for years.
People change. She thought, It would be best if I just decided to change along with it. Love ends in pain, and relationships, in failures. That is not what I want, anymore.
Almost thanking her past partners, she walked out with a poker face, one that could rival Damian’s own. It was quite late, but the usual noise and fog covered sky was absent, as if it was a Christmas gift the people of Gotham.
It was no wonder things didn’t work out in the end. She didn’t belong here, Marinette had always known that, deep down, but she had hoped that the feel of contentment and the sheer love was enough to get her through.
It was funny how that actually ended up being one of her greatest mistakes.

Rivals AU2
Part 1
"Maybe we'll stop by another time." Alya suddenly announced.
"Um, yeah." Marinette blushed, suddenly reminded that her friends were in the doorway.
"Well, I have to get back to the bakery. Marinette, you can finish dinner, right?" Sabine asked.
"Would it be edible?" Damian questioned.
"Hey!" Mari cried out, "That was one time!"
"You gave me a mud pie." Damian replied.
"We were kids." Marinette shrugged.
"It was actual mud; I took a bite out of it." he said, crossing his arms.
Marinette laughed at the reminder.
"I still won't eat chocolate." he continued, making her laugh harder.
"I think we should go." Alya whispered to the boys, "Bye, Marinette!"
Marinette quickly rushed over and hugged Alya and Nino. As she turned to hug Adrien, Damian shouted, "The food is burning."
"Bye!" she said, running towards the kitchen, "Why didn't you do anything?"
"Alfred banned us from the kitchen." the young Wayne answered.
"What did you do this time?" she asked, as they closed the door to the apartment.
Adrien frowned as the door shut. He had never seen Marinette so happy with a guy, especially not him.
"You don't really think her mom will make them sleep in one bed, right?" Adrien questioned.
"Nah. It's fine for when we're kids, but our bodies are different now and we're aware of that." Alya answered.
"Plus, she has that chaise in her room, too." Nino reminded him.
'Yeah.'
Adrien took one last look at the door and walked down the stairs after his friends.
The day faded to night and both made their way up to Marinette's room. Damian's bags sat in a corner of her room.
"You leave." they both stated.
"It's my room." Marinette complained.
"I'm the guest." Damian countered.
"Do you know what; fine! I can shower." Marinette huffed, grabbing her pj's and headed to the bathroom.
Damian smirked. He felt as if he had won the next battle. He changed into some pajama bottoms and made the decision to wear his wife beater. Damian made his way up to her bed to claim it. He froze at the top of the stairs when he noticed the cat pillow. He certainly wasn't expecting to see the giant cat that he had won for her all those years ago at the carnival.
'I can't believe she kept it. I thought she would have thrown it away by now. I can't believe she still sleeps with it. '
Damian looked down to the swing of her door. Marinette returned to the room with her hair is braided pigtails, a red camisole top with the robin crest and black short. It was easily noticeable that his rival had grown in charms. Damian got into the bed and faced the wall, hiding the flush that conquering his cheeks.
'Why did she have to wear something after me?'
"Night, Dami." Mari yawned, as she turned off the light and climbed into bed with him
'Dammit! I didn't think she would actually get in the bed with me!'
'Dami, doesn't look like a kid anymore. He's a lot more muscular. His shoulders are broader. He's definitely been working out with Dick and everyone else.'
'I just got to stay on this side of the bed.' they thought as they drifted off to sleep.
Sabine went up to Marinette's room as Tom began to set up the bakery. She went up to the bed to check on them. Sabine smiled at the two of them cuddled up in bed together. She hadn't seen her daughter's face this content in a long time. She seemed content with Damian's arms protectively around her. She pulled out her phone and took a picture. As she went down to the bakery, she quickly sent the picture to Bruce.
A couple hours later, Marinette and Damian woke up to the sound of her alarm for school. They blushed as they found themselves intertwined with each other.
"I have school!" Marinette cried out, rushing down the stairs.
She quickly rifled through her closet and was about to change when she froze. She turned her head back to her bed, only to see Damian smirking at her.
"Did you need me to leave?" he questioned.
"Yes!" she growled out.
"Maybe, I should stay." Damian spoke.
Marinette picked up her clothes and took them to her bathroom to change and get ready for her day in peace.
Damian chuckled.
'Point.'
"So," Alya began, "tell me about your mysterious friend."
Marinette sighed, unaware of their audience in the bushes.
"Who was that guy the other day?" the reporter questioned, "You dropped your bag and hugged him like you hadn't seen him in years!"
"I haven't seen him in years." Mari replied.
"Who is he?" Alya asked.
"Damian Wayne." Marinette spoke.
Adrien gulped, knowing the weight that name carried.
"I grew up in Gotham." Marinette began, "Maman and Papa knew his father. His family would watch over me while they worked."
"So, you guys grew up together?" Alya asked.
"Til my parents decided to move to Paris, yeah." Mari shrugged.
"How was it growing up?" Alya questioned, wiggling her eyebrows, "You two seem close."
Marinette rolled her eyes, "Damian and I….have always been at odds. Rivals, if you will. Not the same way Chloe and I are, but rivals, none the less."
"Is that what the point system yesterday was?" the reporter interrogated.
"Yeah. We keep points on who would one up the other since we were kids. Stupid stuff: taking the last doughnut, who was taller, who could get the most compliments, grades. That sorta things." Marinette answered.
"Was your mom serious about you two…you know….sharing a bed?" Alya questioned.
"Yeah. It wasn't a big deal." Mari replied with a shrug, "We've done it before."
Adrien frowned at the revelation.
"Like the same way little kids bathe together?" Alya teased.
"I guess. I don't really remember if we have or not, but I do know my size chart is etched into his house. He was so mad when I got taller then him." Marinette giggled.
"He's not so tiny now." her friend commented.
"Well, no." the Gothamite responded avoiding her gaze.
"And I'm sure he's grown in other places." Alya goaded.
Marinette looked down at her hands, blushing red, "I wouldn't know."
"Oh come on!" Alya shouted, "You're telling me you didn't even peek?"
"He's definitely muscular" Marinette responded, biting her lip, "but Damian's always been athletic."
"Really; how so?" the journalist questioned, "Football? Wrestling? Girl, give me the deets!"
"Um, well, we did gymnastics together with his eldest brother so I know we're both really flexible." Mari admitted, "He's skilled in martial art and with a blade."
"You mean fencing?" Alya asked, "Like Adrien?"
"No." Mari claimed, shaking her head, "Real swords, like samurai blades and stuff."
"Isn't that…I don't know…dangerous?" Alya asked freaking out.
"Well, his mother taught him when she had custody of him so he knows what he's doing. His dad wasn't happy about it, but he made sure that Damian does it in a safe area where he can't hurt anyone, since he wanted to continue doing it. Usually, it's when he needs to clear his mind and think things through." Marinette shrugged.
"So, what you're telling me, is that you have a literal Adonis sleeping in bed with you." she commented.
"I wouldn't really call him an 'Adonis'." Mari spoke, turning away from Alya.
'Although I did feel safe in his arms when I woke up. I was comfortable when I woke up on his chest and with his arms wrapped around me.'
"Really? What would you call him?" her friend teased, trying to get a good look at her friend's face.
"The annoying brat who steals my doughnuts." Mari responded without hesitation, making Adrien chuckle in the bushes.
"Is that right, Fairy Princess?" Damian asked, announcing his presence.
Marinette turns to see Damian and glares at him, while Alya is fascinated by their interaction together.
"Only Nona still calls me 'Little Fairy' now." Marinette commented.
"And what am I, but not your 'Fata Re', Titania?" he smirked.
Adrien glared at their interaction.
'Who does he think he is to call himself Marinette a queen and dub himself her king?'
Marinette blushed, as she got up and pulled him away from Alya.
"You can't call me that!" Mari stated, angrily.
Damian only smirked at her flustered state. He couldn't help but wonder why she seemed so scary when angered as a child. If anything, her face looked cute with her pouty angered look.
"Why not?" he asked, "Are you not mine, Titania?"
Mari blushed, but took a step towards him, "Are you mine then, Oberion?"
Damian took a step into her space, bringing attention to his new height as he overshadowed her. Damian leaned down, tilted her chin to him, and placed a kiss upon her cheek, before whispering, "One point for me."
Marinette stumbled backwards, holding her cheek where he had kissed her. Damian turned and walked away, deciding to walk around Paris.
Adrien couldn't believe that Damian had done that.
'He kissed Mari! It seemed much more intimate then when she had kissed my cheek a couple years ago; why is that?'
Alya's squeal brought Marinette back to attention.
"Damian, get back here or you're gonna be sorry!" Marinette shouted.
Damian looked over his shoulder and waved off her notion of vengeance.
Alya pulled Mari into her arms and cried out, "He kissed you!"
"For a god damn point!" Marinette hissed.
"What?" Alya asked, pulling away, "What are you gonna do?"
"Make sure I come out on top!" Mari declared, running after him.
"Didn't you kiss him first?" Alya shouted, causing Marinette to trip and fall.
Damian looked behind to see Marinette on the floor. Their eyes met and he could immediately tell she was hiding herself. This wasn't his Titania. He gave her a well deserved glare and walked away to cool off. Marinette lowered her head as she got up. She knew she had hidden herself away when she came to Paris. Apparently, Damian was aware of that now and wanted no part of the new Marinette.
"Are you okay?" Alya asked rushing over, as her friend took longer to get up.
"Yeah." she replied heading back to the bench and grabbed her stuff.
"Weren't you going after him?" Alya questioned, grabbing her things.
"No." Mari commented, walking in the opposite direction.
Adrien wasn't sure what had happened, but it was obvious something had happened in that small amount of time that she fell. Marinette remained distant and had a sad demeanor the rest of the day after her interaction with Damian.
Damian walked with Marinette back to the school when she said she wanted to cheer on her friends on the fencing team. She had said they were practicing for a tournament. Damian watched as the practiced but soon took to looking at his phone. Taking offense, Kagami went over to the pair.
"Are we boring you?" she questioned Damian.
"Yes." he replied, not looking up from his phone.
"Do you think you could do better?" Kagami asked.
"Yes." Damian answered, glaring at her.
"Damian!" Marinette scolded him.
"You know, as well as I do, this is child's play." Damian replied to Mari.
"I challenge you." Kagami demanded, "Or are you scared?"
"I'm scared of nothing." Damian growled, taking a stand.
Mari sighs as Damian walked with Kagami over to the fencing teacher, explaining the situation.
"Oh no." Mari grumbles as Adrien takes a seat next to her.
"Will Damian be okay?" he asks, making her jump.
Damian turns and glares in their direction. Marinette crosses her arms and sticks out her tongue.
"He'll be fine." she grumbled, watching as they took their stances.
Adrien was shocked as Damian was quick to strike Kagami. He hadn't even seen him move and from the looks of it, neither had Kagami. He glanced over at Marinette to see her rolling her eyes. Apparently, she knew he would do that. As they restarted the match, Damian stayed in stance and allowed Kagami to approach. He dodged and easily earned another point, deciding the match.
"Will you join our team?" Mr. Delencour asked, "We'll be unstoppable!"
"I'm only visiting." Damian spoke, "I haven't decided for how long yet."
Damian shed the loner equipment off his body, revealing his glistening muscles. Marinette blushed as she watched her old friend's muscles flex. Damian caught notice and quickly flicked the foil at her and pressed it under her chin, bringing her gaze up to his.
"Grab an ice cream with me, Fairy." He smirked.
Marinette nodded as Damian grabbed his shirt and left the equipment in their place. Adrien frowned at Marinette's reaction. She never seemed like the type to care about appearances.
"Who was that?" asked Kagami.
"Marinette's childhood friend." Adrien answered, grabbing the equipment to put away, "He's visiting."
"Seems like more then a friend to me." Kagami smiled.
"Like what?" the young Agreste asked, "Best friends?"
"Perhaps, but maybe, something more soon." she stated, "Keep me informed."
Adrien knew today had been hard on Marinette. Lila had been harsh with her treatment today and he could see Marinette wasn't having it. He knew Marinette was kind so he wasn't sure why she couldn't be kind to Lila until everyone else figured it out. He decided it was best to remind her to take the high road. He didn't expect to find her childhood friend yelling at her. Adrien opened her door very slightly to listen in and stop her friend if he was too harsh.
"What happened to you?" Damian shouted, "You've gone soft! Pink! I thought you hated the color? You always wore red! You said it made you feel powerful! You never let me push you around so why are you letting that liar do it to you?"
"I'm…taking the high road?" Marinette mumbled out.
"What kind of bullshit is that?" the young Wayne questioned, "Where did you go, Angel? This isn't you! You have always been a strong and fierce person. This….weak, clumsy act you portray isn't you."
"Someone one told me it was a better route." Mari spoke.
"Better for you or for her?" he demanded, making her shrink back, "Is that person even thinking about your feelings? I've been here for almost a month! I've seen you make multiple copies of your homework, knowing that your class will ruin it. I've seen how they trip you in the halls. I've heard the rumors and I know none of them are true. I hold you every night as you sob in your sleep. Have they seen how everyone turns away from you in her favor?"
Marinette's lip quivered as she tried to stay strong.
"Are they the one holding you? Are they calming you down when Akumas come after you?" Damian asked.
'Akumas?'
Adrien gulped as he watched tears flow down his friend's face.
Damian sighed, "I know you can handle yourself. We did the same training. You can easily dodge her attempts. So why listen to this idiot?"
"I liked him." Marinette admitted, not realizing Adrien was eavesdropping.
Adrien could feel his face burn, but at the same time, he was frozen to his spot. He couldn't look away; he couldn't breathe. Marinette had listened to him because she had liked him? Did she not believe in the high road, as he did?
Damian growled and pulled Marinette close to him, "He's nothing! You got that, Habibiti!"
Time froze as Damian grabbed her chin and forced her to meet his eyes.
"You're mine, Titania!" he declared before leaning down and kissing her.
Adrien waited with bated breath for Marinette to push her friend away, to shout at him, something….anything, but Damian pulled away first.
"Mari?" Damian whispered, as a new set of tears cascaded down her eyes.
"I'm yours, Oberion." Mari spoke, before pushing herself into the next kiss.
Wordlessly, Adrien left.
Next week, the class was shocked by Marinette's transformation. She had arrived to class early and dressed differently. She was wearing a black top, red shorts, black thigh highs and black laced up boots.
Marinette's new appearance radiated power, strength, confidence. Adrien felt like he was standing next to his partner. Marinette walked up to Bustier's desk and slammed a large folder on her desk.
"I am tired of sitting idly by and watching you all potentially ruin your futures." she spoke, "This folder contains all the lies Lila has told all of you! Lila claims to have a lying disability that both Mr. Damocles and Miss Bustier thought it was better you had no knowledge of."
Lila paled as people looked at the large folder.
"I believe it's harmful for you all to take her word on everything." Mari continued, "I'm not saying you all can't be friends. I want her to have friends. My only issue with Lila is that if she lies constantly and takes actions when she is stressed, like when she put the Gabriel brand fox necklace, she called an heirloom, in my locker. At that moment, that should have been a time to contact her mother to see what else she has lied about. Until better actions are taken, I will be resigning as class president and Miss Bustier, you can do your own work."
Marinette walked to her seat with her head held high as the class began to question their teacher and go look at the folders.
Alya turned to Marinette and frowned.
"Marinette, I'm really sorry I didn't believe you. You were right when you said it could effect our futures and I posted so much stuff on my blog. I should have never asked you for references; I'm the one who wants to be a reporter, not you." Alya apologized, "I have to ask though, where did you get the power-boost from?"
"My boyfriend." Mari smiled, "He reminded me of who I was. I don't need to please people and that's who I became when I moved to Paris. You can take the girl out of Gotham, but you can't take Gotham out of the girl."
"Oh, so he's your boyfriend now?" Alya teased.
"Yep." Marinette responded, enjoying the chaos around her.
"What about?" Alya asked, motioning towards Adrien.
"Adrien? He was a lost cause from the start. I think I knew that. I was always trying to put him first." Marinette shrugged, "Damian reminded me that I need to come first. Somewhere over the years, between Gotham and Paris, I lost myself. I hated the color pink and it's all I wore. I needed a major overhaul in my life."
"It's a big one!" the reporter complimented, "You look fierce."
"Thanks!" the little Gothamite replied, "I just wish I had been myself from the start."
"What's with the clothes?" questioned Alix, inviting herself into the conversation.
"My boyfriend helped me empty my closet and I donated those clothes. He took my shopping for a couple things and some fabrics. He said he wanted to see the real me, at least until I made myself some new clothes." Marinette answered.
"If this is how you're dressing now, I make take you up on a couple commissions." Alix stated.
"Me too." Juleka spoke.
Lila slammed her hands on her desk and shouted, "It’s all a lie! My boyfriend, Damian Wayne, will hear about this! He'll sue you and you'll be sorry that you smeared my good name, Marinette!"
Immediately, Alya and Nino broke down in laughter, while Adrien shook his head. He knew this wasn't going to end well.
"Why are you laughing at me?" Lila questioned.
"Cause Damian Wayne has been here for two weeks. The 'weird' guy who hangs around Mari and is living with her; that's Damian Wayne?" Nino announced, "They're childhood friends and are now dating. Even her parents know him."
The class immediately turned on Lila and glared at her.
"You're just a liar. I don't mind being friends with you, I just won't believe you when you say something." Alya spoke up, "I'm not gonna waste my time waiting for you when we go to the movies, but you 'forgot' your wallet or 'suddenly' can't make it. Prove you want to be friends with us."
Lila gathered up her things and rushed out of class, upset the her plans had finally fallen through. They could all see through her ruse and she'd have to work hard to gain back their trust, even a bit.
The class quickly began to apologize to Marinette, ignoring Bustier's cries for Lila to return to class. They were all too busy to see the purple butterfly that fluttered onto her lipstick case once more.
"Settle down, Class!" Zombizou declared, "We need to show Lila how much we love her! Marinette, you are the first person that needs to show Lila how much we care about her. You have only shown her hate!"
Marinette got up from her seat and replied, "Of course, Miss Bustier! Lila needs to know how much we love her!" before fleeing to transform. Most of the class was hot on her heels, calling for Lila so they could 'forgive her' and hide quickly.
As she battled Zombizou in the class room, Chat Noir had managed to transform and show up.
Chat Noir dodged Zombizou's kiss flurry.
"I'm sorry!" he shouted, "I was held up!"
Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around Zombizou's wrist, yanking the akuma towards her. She quickly ducked her akumatized teacher and smashed the lipstick.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" she cried and ran off shouting, "I'm sure you can take care of this, Chat!"
Marinette dropped into her room and sighed, "Tikki, Spots Off."
When she looked up, she realized that had been a mistake. Damian was standing in her room. She could tell he probably wanted an explanation, but instead that devilish smirk appeared across his face. Marinette panicked believing he would tattle on her. Instead, he walked up to her, pulled her against him and kissed her.
"Damian?" she squeaked out.
"I always knew My Queen was powerful, especially in red." he replied to the unasked question, "I'll walk you back to class. Besides, I have some secrets of my own to share. Tonight?"
Marinette nodded as she calmed her heart. Her secret was exposed, but Damian didn't seem to mind one bit. She had been told to guard it with her life. There was no chance of even speaking with Tikki, until later, to know what she thought.
"Let's take a walk through the park." Damian suggested, "You look like you need a moment."
Adrien ran back towards the school, but hid at what appeared to be an intimate moment between Marinette and Damian. He peered from behind the bush and saw something he didn't expect to: a red kwami he knew he'd seen before.
'Marinette is Ladybug!'
Adrien felt his excitement bubble up as he could finally be with his lady, but his dreams were quickly squashed.
"So, My Lovely Red Queen, I believe we have an arrangement to consider." Damian spoke.
"Arrangement?" Mari questioned, "I believe you will be returning to the underworld soon, My Dove."
"Soon, but then I shall capture you once more and you will be mine." the young Wayne quipped.
"I care not for cages." she smiled.
"You could soar under the stars with me." Damian replied.
Marinette giggled, "Can you even see the stars back home?"
"From the top of my tower." he answered.
Adrien watched as Marinette leaned against him and Damian pulled her closer.
"You know, I thought I loved before, but I was only under a spell." Marinette spoke, "I have no feelings for someone so beneath me, who wouldn't even take my feelings into consideration."
"What about the cat?" Damian asked, getting up from the bench.
'He knows?'
"Not yet." Mari replied, "I've told him I have no feelings for him. He is still my partner and my friend."
"If he lays a paw on you, I have no qualms taking his place, even by force." Damian stated.
"I'm not a damsel in distress." Mari growled back, poking him in the chest.
"No, you're not." the young Wayne spoke, "You never have been.
Mari leaned in, got on her tip toes and placed a kiss on Damian's lips.
"My Dark Knight turned King." she smiled, leaving her arms around his neck.
"My Fierce Queen." Damian smirked, before leaning down for another kiss.
Adrien panted as he leaned against the wall and let his tears fall.
All that time, his Princess was his Lady. He had never tried to see the kind of person Marinette was, not even when he had visited as Chat Noir. She had loved him and he had let her down. He never saw the strength behind her eyes, but her Fata Re did.

DD2020: Betrothed
Marinette Dupain-Cheng had known since she was twelve that she was betrothed to Damian Al Ghul-Wayne. She had tried to convince her parents that she had a massive crush on her friend, Adrien Agreste. Apparently, she had convinced everyone else, but they only smiled. When Lila came, her plans were wrecked. When her 'crush' sided with her bully, she knew it was time to accept defeat. Marinette was better then that and knew she deserved better.
It was finally her last week in Paris. She would be moving to Gotham at the end of the week to be with her fiancée's family. After everything that had happened, she was excited to start high school, in America, after Winter Break. Marinette made sure to pack her sewing and designing items first, making sure none of it was left behind. Next, she went through her closet. She made sure anything that was important, was saved and labeled STORAGE. Marinette had even gotten her parents to let her repaint the walls so that they could rent out the room, if necessary.
As it was her final week in Paris, her parents told her she should spend more time with her friends. She didn't really have friends in the class anymore, but she could always ask. Too bad , it couldn't have come at a worse time. Lila had finally informed Adrien about Marinette's stalker-y feelings for him and he was nervous about being around her.
"Hey, Adrien." Marinette smiled, "Want to hang out today?"
"I'm busy, Marinette." he smiled back, hoping his nervousness wasn't showing.
Marinette shrugged and turned to Nino, "Do you want to do something? I sort of need a really long playlist made for when I'm working on my designs; something I could play for hours and not get bored. I'll pay you, of course."
Alya came over and hugged Nino, "We're busy. We have a date today."
"Oh, ok. Maybe tomorrow?" Marinette asked Nino.
"I think-" Nino began.
"Hey, Girl. I need you to watch the twins tonight." Alya interjected.
"No." Mari stated.
"What? Why not? It's not like you're busy." Alya shouted.
"I would assume you already have someone to watch them, since you told me you have a date planned. Besides, my parents want me to get out of the house, so no. I guess I'll just hang with Luka, then." Marinette spoke, walking away from the trio.
"Babe, do you actually need someone to watch the twins?" Nino questioned.
"Yeah." Alya responded, hesitantly.
Nino sighed, "Guess date night will have to wait, then." picking up his backpack and headed towards his house.
The next day in class, Lila complained how much Marinette was bullying her through text messages.
"Why would you do that, Marinette?"
"How could you be so mean to Lila?"
"Do you hate that she's better then you?"
"Got nothing to say?" quipped Alya, still pissed that she didn't go on her date.
"Why? It's not like any of you will believe me, but why don't you just show them the text, Lila? Show them those horrible text messages I sent you." Marinette replied.
"I delete them." Lila sniffled.
"Why bring it up at all? I mean, you don't even have my number and I don't have yours." Marinette laughs, "Actually, I don't have anyone's right now since my phone has been broken for two months."
Lila paled, realizing where this was going.
"Is that true?" asked Rose.
"Yep. I've been communicating with Ms. Bustier for class president duties through email. You can ask her or the other class representatives. You can ask my parents. Anyone in Kitty Section could ask Luka or Adrien could ask Kagami." Marinette continued.
Adrien paled and made no move.
'What is she doing? This isn't the high road!'
Nino tapped his shoulder, "Ask her, Dude." he stated.
"Her mom doesn't like it when she answers her phone during her lessons." Adrien replied, hoping no one in Kitty Section would message Luka, "I can ask her after school." and with that, the matter was dropped.
After lunch, Marinette and Lila never made it back to class. Ms. Bustier had sent them to Damocles' Office. Everything seemed to be going fine until their guardians were called in. Lila protested, but Damocles wanted to get to the bottom of the issue. Lila nodded and smiled, knowing that last time she fooled Marinette's parents. It wouldn't be a hard thing to do a second time.
Mrs. Rossi walked in sat in the chair next to her daughter.
"Marinette, where are your parents?" Damocles questioned.
"They won't be coming." she answered.
"What?" the principal asked.
"Mr. Wayne, what are you doing here?" questioned Mrs. Rossi, standing up from her seat.
"Father, I demand the restraining order be in place and the other lawsuits, to be expedited immediately!" his son shouted.
"What?" asked the Rossi women.
Marinette smiled, "As of today, Bruce Wayne is my legal guardian. His son is my fiancée and I'm sure your aware, Mr. Damocles, that today is my last day of school. I've told him everything you have ever done to me, Lila, and he sent me a mini camera to wear. All of your lies have been caught on camera. With his help, we have sent all those lies to every celebrity you said you knew."
"My daughter is not a liar!" Mrs. Rossi cried.
"So you will tell the class about how she heroically saved Jagged Stone's kitten, on an airport runway and only got tinnitus. Or maybe how she helps the unfortunate when you take her to the Kingdom of Achu. That's where you have that environmental project with Prince Ali, right Lila? Or maybe how she knows Steven Spielberg for Nino. There's always Lois Lane for Alya, Tony Hawk? I mean the list goes on." Marinette suggested.
"Lila, what is this about?" her mother questioned.
"These are all things she's been telling our class since she moved here. She's even got Alya to post them to the LadyBlog." Marinette replied.
"What's that; a feminist blog?" her mother asked.
"The Ladybug Blog? It's a blog dedicated to the superheroes of Paris." Mari stated.
"Those failures!" her mother shouted.
"Failures?" everyone else questioned.
"Well, yeah. The school keeps closing down for months at a time because the school gets damaged." Mrs. Rossi huffed.
"Lila, want to explain that?" Mari smiled.
Damocles cleared his throat, "Ma'am, the school does close while an akuma attack is in progress, but it's usually closed for an hour or two, and that's only if it's close by or originates from this school. The longest attack has been four hours and that's on a weekend."
"But-Lila, why were you home all that time then? You told me to quickly get to work and not believe anyone." Her mother asked, turning to her daughter for an answer.
"They're all akumatized, Mama! This is how it works!" Lila sobbed.
"No, it's not." Bruce declared, "A person's appearance and body is completely altered."
Bruce used his phone to bring up the Ladyblog and showed her the akuma attacks and how Ladybug repaired everything, including the Eiffel Tower.
"Your daughter has been misleading you and I do have a restraining order to give you. I was going to give it to you, tomorrow, after the discussions about moving here internationally, but you were misled by a child and I can't see that working in my favor." Bruce stated.
"No!" Mrs. Rossi shouted, "Mr. Wayne, we can work this out."
"Your daughter's first lie was she is super close to Ladybug, so close that they were practically BFF's, to the Ladyblog. That's probably why she told you not to believe anything. She didn't want you to see her lie. Especially, since she said that Ladybug travelled to Italy to save her. I mean she has been akumatized....what is it now Lila, seven times now?" Marinette asked.
"What?" her mother shouted, looking at her daughter in horror, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because she was trying to get Adrien Agreste to date her." Mari said, simply.
"But they are dating." Her mother said, turning to the pink girl.
"No, they're not." Marinette stated.
"I saw the pictures!" Mrs Rossi cried, frustrated.
"You mean their modeling shoots?" Mari questioned.
"Model; why wasn't I informed of this?" she asked, turning back to her daughter.
"Seems like you don't know a lot about your daughter." Damian spoke up.
"Adrien Agreste is dating Kagami Tsurugi and has been for close to four years now. I should know, I helped Adrien with their first date. They both fence and his father is very happy to have someone of a high title after his son." Marinette announced.
"You mean of higher standing." Damian interrupted.
"Exactly." Mari smiled at him, "Gabriel doesn't care about love. He cares about his company and his own image through his son. Adrien is forced to be perfect. His grades can never slip and he can never fail-like when Lila stole his book and threw it in the trash to be pretend to be a superheroine to get his attention."
Marinette turned to Lila, "Adrien got pulled out of school for that. Thankfully, I pulled it out and gave it to Gabriel, himself. I even took the blame, but you don't have to believe me, you can ask Gabriel or Natalie yourselves."
"What about the necklace he gave her?" Mrs. Rossi asked, grasping at straws.
"You mean her family heirloom?" Marinette asked.
"What heirloom?" her mother questioned.
"That fox tail necklace, right?" Mari asked, "Lila got me expelled by saying it was a family heirloom and planting it in my locker."
"You told me that Adrien gave it to you!" her mother shouted.
"He didn't." Marinette replied, "I didn't trust your daughter so I followed her and saw her buy it." and showed Lila pulling the necklace out of a box.
"You stalker!" Lila shouted.
"Yes, but you already knew that. In fact, my parents and fiancée know that. That was after I was told about my betrothal. I refused to be subjected to an old custom, but after everything you did to separate me from the class, to make them believe I was bullying you, I decided why bother and accepted it." Marinette answered.
"What about Adrien?" Lila questioned, "You're in love with him!"
"Actually, I'm not; never was. I was hoping that the stalker-y attitude would get my parents to call off the engagement, but it didn't. Besides, Adrien is too passive. He asked me to take the 'high road' with you. It made me see how much of a joke and pushover he was." Mari stated.
"Adrien Agreste knew about this?" Damocles questioned, "About her lies?"
"Of course, since day one." Marinette smiled, "Ladybug called out Lila right in front of him. Too bad I wasn't wearing a camera back then. She really yelled at you, but I mean, what do you expect when you tell someone that your 'gift/heirloom' is a miraculous and you're really a superheroine named Volpina."
Lila's eyes began to water.
"I can always call my uncle, Jagged Stone, and ask him about his fake cat, since real fans know he's allergic to cats. Maybe we can consult a doctor and hear how being that close to a runway without protective headsets would make you deaf, instead." Mari continued.
"Why are you doing this to me?" Lila shouted.
"You did this to yourself. I told you not to lie to people. How many of those people will want to talk with you, now, that they know your nothing but a fake? I mean, they only came to me when they needed something: clothes, food, babysitting, class rep duties. Did you think you were any different? You told them that you could make their dreams come true with one word. Why wouldn't they like you?" she questioned.
"People try it with me all the time, til I threaten to break their arm and sue them." Damian interjected.
Tears began to run down Lila's cheeks.
Damocles cleared his throat, "In light of all.....this evidence, because of her missed school and missing assignments-"
"You told me you didn't have homework." Mrs. Rossi sighed.
"And I believe she wasn't tutored?" Damocles asked.
Mrs. Rossi just shook her head.
"Lila will not graduate this year." the principal continued, "I can't do anything about the year prior, but she will have to retake this year. I will put her in a stricter class. I will inform her teacher about these claims and that her class is warned about her behavior about getting out of assignments."
"I would pull her out and send her to a private school, but I have a feeling that I'll be drowning in lawsuits, soon enough." her mother sighed, "I'd like to inform her class."
"No!" Lila cried.
"Yes!" her mother retaliated.
"I think it's best we take her out of the class, right now, and put her in a year lower, until the end of the school year. Next year, if she passes the remainder of this year and doesn't miss anymore school, she can retake this year." Damocles stated.
Lila's tears began to run faster down her cheeks.
"I have stuff to give Bustier, anyways." Marinette replied.
The class began to cheer as Mari handed their teacher a binder.
"Here is everything that the new class representative will need for after Winter Break." Marinette declared.
"You deserve to be expelled!" Kim shouted.
Marinette just smiled as Mrs. Rossi gently pushed her daughter into the room.
"Marinette is not expelled." Mrs. Rossi declared, "Lila, I believe you have something to say."
"I've been lying to you all. I don't know any celebrities and I've never been to Achu." Lila spoke, defeated.
"But what about your trips?" Rose asked.
"I stayed home and watched YouTube videos. I watched anything that wasn't Ladybug related. I hate that she called me out as a liar; I can't believe she watches your stupid blog!" Lila sneered.
Alya looked between Lila and Marinette, before asking, "Why are you saying these things?"
Damian walked in and put his arm around Marinette.
"Because I have had my fiancée wear a body cam for quite some time. Let's watch shall we?" he smirked.
On the screen was Lila glaring at Marinette, telling her how laughable it is that her friends abandoned her for some fake tears.
"Who knew it would be so easy to turn a whole class against you. They must have hated you so much to leave you behind and kick you out of so many event for little ol' me. I mean, it wasn't even that hard." Lila smiled and quickly whimpered," You're not asking my bully to come to are you? I'm afraid she might hurt me for real this time."
"Lila? Marinette?" the class heard Caline call, "Is everything alright?"
"Oh it was horrible, Ms. Bustier! Marinette told me she threw away my field trip permission slip to Disneyland Paris; she said you wouldn't believe me! That since she is class president, she had every right to do so!" Lila sobbed.
"Marinette! I don't like this new attitude of yours. I think you should both go to the Principal's Office!"
"Madam Bustier, I didn't-" Marinette began.
"We've talked out your behavior with Lila and she deserves a chance." Caline smiled.
"Right, because she has that lying disease. What makes you think she isn't lying now?" Mari questioned.
"I won't be talked back to." Caline frowned.
"No. You won't be talked back to by someone who doesn't have a parent with their pocket's lined with cash." Marinette stated.
"Principal's Office, now!" Bustier demanded.
Caline turned as red as her hair, witnessing her favoritism displayed towards her students. Adrien frowned, hating that Marinette didn't take his high road, but he wasn't aware that it was things were this bad, either.
"In light of Lila's absences and missed school work, she is being pulled out of this class immediately and being sent back a year." Damocles stated, " She will not graduate with you all. If she doesn't complete the previous year, she will stay where she is. And Caline, I'd like to see you in my office after school."
"Fiancée!" shouted Alix.
"Yes." Marinette replied.
"Since when?" asked Nathaniel.
"My parents told me when I was twelve that Damian and I have been betrothed since birth. I didn't like that and went overboard with a fake crush, hoping that my parents would call it off." Mari answered.
"Fake!" the class shouted.
Adrien raised his hand slowly and questioned, "Lila said you had a crush on me?"
"Yes, you were my fake crush. The class knew that I had 'feelings' for you. So much so that Alya made up ridiculous plans to try and get us together." Marinette stated.
Adrien turned to Alya and frowned, who only blushed at being called out.
"I mean, why else would I have set you up with your girlfriend, Kagami? If I really had a crush on you, I wouldn't have agreed to help you plan your dates or gone on double dates." Marinette spoke, "I couldn't imagine how anyone could smile and do that when they see the one they love happy with someone else."
Adrien sighed, "I'm sorry I avoided you this week. Lila told me about your crush and I sort of panicked. I thought you were trying to confess to me."
Marinette laughed, "No. I was hoping to spend time with you all before I left."
"Left?" asked Mylene.
"I'm moving to be with my betrothed and his family, today. It's why I tried to talk with you all." she explained.
"The playlist?" Nino questioned.
"Eighteen hour flight." Mari stated.
"Ice cream?" asked Nathaniel.
"I went with Kagami and Luka, instead. They weren't very happy when I told them." She shrugged, "I just wanted to tell you and I had a feeling that Lila would have made it all about herself, like usual, so I wanted to do it individually."
"What about Prom and the Spring formal?" shouted Alya.
"It's why I turned down your dress request. I won't be here. I wouldn't be able to take you measurements or adjust anything." Marinette said.
"Does she hear how she sounds? Why were you friends with her?" Damian questioned.
"She stood up for me when no one else did, at least until Lila came. Then it was all about what she wanted: dresses, date outfits, babysitting last second." Marinette sighed, as Alya turned red, "Well, I hope you all have a good year. I know I will."
Damian leaned over, proving a point and kissed her cheek. He led her out of the room, followed by his father. Behind them, Lila and her mother returned to the Principal's Office.
Adrien ran after the couple.
"Mari!" he cried, pleading for her to stop and listen to him, "Why? Why didn't you take the-"
"High road? I did." Marinette smiled.
"No." Adrien replied, not seeing how she had.
" I never revealed her lies and now, Lila has to suffer for the rest of her life." Marinette replied.
"But-" the young Agreste began.
"Lila will be put in a stricter class, where everyone will know she's a liar. Everyone in class, mostly Alya, is probably putting what happened on the internet for everyone to read." Marinette continued.
Adrien looked back to the room in panic.
"And she is being sued by all the celebrities that she lied about, which could cost her family millions." Mari pressed on.
Adrien opened his mouth, but Marinette wouldn't let him get a word in.
"If only someone had taught her early on how bad lying is and how much trouble it could get her into." Mari stated.
Adrien frowned. This wasn't the Marinette he knew.
"But you were worried about her feelings and that matters more then what is happening right now." She finished.
"She could get akumatized!" Adrien shouted.
"Everyone gets akumatized, Adrien. Babies get akumatized! Shit happens but none of it really matters. No one cares." Mari spoke, "Besides, it's not like you suffered, right? You weren't bullied by the class. Your homework wasn't torn up and given detention for not having it completed. Your designs weren't drawn on. You weren't tripped, kicked, punched."
Adrien could feel the heated glare from Marinette's fiancée on him.
"You were safe because you weren't 'in it together with me'. You were safely watching from a distance and I've had enough. You all can figure out how to do everything with that selective hive mind and I'm sure Chloe will be back to being 'Chloe', making everyone's lives miserable because Daddy is important, again. I regret so many things after meeting you, Agreste."
Without another word, Marinette walked out of of the school, leaving Adrien stunned. He was only broken out of his shock when Nino placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, let's head back to class." Nino suggested.
Adrien only nodded, keeping his head down.
"You okay, Bro?" the DJ asked.
Adrien shook his head and sighed.
"Yeah. Lila really messed with all of our minds. I'm just glad we haven't sent in our applications for University. Imagine the fallout from that! Lila was promising us jobs and saying she knew some of the Deans. A lot of us had her down as a source to back us up on eligibility. Alya even called off our date so she could retract everything on her blog and fix it before applications are sent." Nino explained.
Adrien nodded his head, coming to terms with what he had done.
A year later, he heard that Lila was held back once more and was working as a dishwasher in Chloe's hotel to pay her parents back for all the lawsuits. She had tried to go to him for help, but Gabriel threaten to sic her with a lawsuit if she came near him again. Adrien also learned that Marinette had married her betrothed and they were very happy.

Childhood Friends Part 2
So sorry for the wait! Enjoy!
Part 1
The class watched from afar as Marinette walked at the front of the group with Damian. Damian had told them that the tour guide was named Richard and would translate what he was saying to them.
As Damian translated, Dick slipped his phone out and texted the family that Damian possibly had a secret girlfriend that he called Angel. She was part of the French tour group and that she apparently knew about Talia.
The class noticed him whispering to Marinette and pointing in different direction then their tour guide. It made them feel weird every time she giggled, every time they saw her smile, especially since she had made Lila so miserable.
The only thing was that Damian claimed not to even know her. Damian also claimed that his father was there in the city, while Lila had said he was in Metropolis. It didn't make sense. Damian, apparently, hadn't seen Mari in years. She look surprised to see him so she couldn't have asked him to lie for her. That left one option, but…why would Lila lie to them? What about Marinette's love for Adrien?
Several of them glanced at him, but he seemed to be smiling at Marinette's interaction with her long-lost friend. If anything, he seemed happy for them.
Lila remained silent throughout the tour.
At lunch, Dick led them to the cafeteria where a miniature buffet was set up.
"Help yourselves." Damian announced, as he pulled Marinette out of the room.
"Where are we going?" Marinette asked.
"I told you earlier, I wanted you to meet my father." Damian stated as they arrived to a pair of double doors. Without a thought, he opened the doors and announced, "Father, there is someone I'd like you to meet."
Marinette could instantly tell that Damian got his looks from his father, but she could also see what he got from Talia.
"Who is this, Damian?" questioned Bruce.
"This is Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Damian stated, "I met her when I was nine and traveled with Mother."
Bruce was instantly put on alert. Did she know about the League and who he was? Was she sent to lure Damian back?
Bruce remained composed and extended his hand, "It's very nice to meet one of his son's friends."
Marinette smiled brightly in return and said, "It's very nice to meet you as well, Mr. Wayne. I'm happy to have found him again. Talia said his grandfather was very traditional, so we couldn't keep in touch. My grandfather is like that, too. Only recently, did we start getting him to be more accepting of some modern day things."
Bruce smiled back. She didn't seem a threat. She seemed good for him, but quickly noticed her smile turn to a frown.
"Marinette?" he asked, gaining Damian's attention.
"Did Miss Talia really try to….she seemed so nice when I met her." Marinette whispered softly.
Damian placed his hand on her shoulder, getting her attention. "One of the last things she wore was the red dress you made her." he spoke, "She wore it when she introduced me to Father."
"You made that dress?" Bruce questioned, shocked.
"Miss Talia commissioned me to make three dresses while I was there." Marinette admitted.
Bruce nodded, "Why don't you go get lunch and if it's alright with you, I'd like to meet you again for dinner sometime during your stay."
Marinette nodded happily.
"May I contact your parents to make sure they are okay with it?" he asked.
"Yes." Mari spoke, as Damian began to pull her out the door, "It was nice to meet you again, Mr. Wayne!"
As the entered the cafeteria, Mari could feel her classmates eyes on her. When they grabbed lunch, she noticed Damian had picked up a vegetarian option and decided to do the same. Damian led them to a secluded table and took up sitting next to her
"Are you still designing, Angel?" Damian asked, suddenly.
"Yes." Marinette answered, still getting use to the nickname.
"Maybe I can have you make me something this time." Damian stated.
"Really?" she shouted, excitedly.
"You didn't get to design anything for me last time." he smirked at her reaction.
Suddenly, she lightly smacked his chest.
"What's that for?" he chuckled.
"For paying me extra!" she cried out.
"You saying I couldn't tip you?" he asked.
"That was more then a tip." Mari glared at him.
"Oh, that wasn't for the dress. That was for spending the summer with me and keeping me sane." Damian replied, making her blush, "So, about my outfits."
"Modern or something related to that summer?" Marinette asked, pulling out a small notepad.
"Why not both?" Damian questioned, "I'm always stuck in a suit these days. Something to relax around the house would be nice. Something light and breezy. Possibly another suit, as well."
"Any specific colors you want to avoid?" she interrogated.
"Red." he answered immediately.
Marinette frowned as she took in his features, "It would look good on you."
"Todd wears it a lot." he quipped back.
"Okay. Hmmm." Marinette bit her pen in thought, "How about black and green?"
Damian thought for a moment before nodding at the color combination.
"Depending on the green, we could go gold or silver, for accents." Marinette continued.
"Gold." Damian insisted.
"Now, what about your lounging outfit? Anything you really want? Are you tastes more towards pajamas?" she questioned.
"Comfort." Damian stated.
"So something to lounge around in?" she questioned out loud.
"Maybe, pertaining to my heritage?" Damian spoke up.
"Talia was Arabic, correct?" Mari asked.
"Yes." he replied, "My aunt was Chinese."
"That certainly gives me a wide variety of options. I would have to research more about the style and cloth used." she mumbled.
Damian smirked and questioned, "Are you saying you would like to see me in less clothes?"
Marinette squeaked and quickly waved her hands in front of herself, claiming, "No, but I would have to get your measurements."
Damian chuckled as she hid behind her notebook. It may not have been smart but he liked seeing the affect he had over her.
"All you have to do is ask." Damian smirked, leaning in, amused as she turned red.
At that moment, Tim slammed his tray on their table and asked, "You're MDC?"
"Oh, so you've already started making a name for yourself, Habibiti." Damian smirked.
Marinette blushed. She still wasn't use to receiving praise over her designs.
"This is the 'Angel' Dick was telling everyone about?" Drake asked, happily.
Damian glared at his older sibling as he took a seat at the table.
"Is she designing stuff for you?" Tim questioned.
"Yes." Damian said, hesitantly.
"Design for me, too!" the young CEO shouted.
"Drake, she's mine!" Damian stated, pulling Marinette closer to him.
"Oh, come on! You can share her!" Tim cried out, "I'm not asking her out! I'm asking her to design for me!"
Damian glared as Marinette wiggled out of his embrace.
"It's okay, Dami. The most I can do on this trip is sketch anyways. I'd have to buy and create everything once I'm home in Paris." Marinette said, placing a hand on his, "What would you like?"
"A whole new collection." Tim smiled, leaving the young designer shocked.
"I only asked her for two things!" Damian stated, glaring at Tim, "Don't overwork her! I don't need her staying up late again!"
"Dami-" Mari intervened.
"No!" he shouted, "You're the female version of him! You're gonna work yourself past the point of exhaustion, again. You stayed awake for three days because of Mother. You passed out for twenty-nine hours!"
Marinette shrank in her seat as she was scolded by her old friend. She didn't think it was such a big deal at the time. She never realized he felt responsible for her lack of sleep.
"Two things, Drake!" Damian commanded.
"I'm only drawing them." Mari explained.
"And when you get home?" the young Wayne questioned, staring her down.
Marinette turned red, knowing full well she would lose sleep over the designs.
Tim laughed at their "lover's quarrel".
"Okay, okay." he smiled, as he thought briefly about what he wanted first, "A suit and a T-shirt."
"Doable." Marinette smiled.
"How much will I owe you?" he asked.
"You're family to Dami so no charge." Marinette replied.
"I'm paying, Angel." Damian stated.
"No, you don't have to." she said, shaking her head.
"How much does Jagged Stone pay for his shirts?" Tim asked, suddenly.
"You know about that?" Mari asked, surprised.
"I'm a fan of you both. Of course, I'm going to know you're his personal designer." the young CEO smiled, "So?"
"Um, $800 for a suit and $300 for the T-shirt designs." Marinette admitted.
"Perfect! So $1,100." Tim smiled, bringing up his PayPal.
"750, since you know Dami." Marinette interrupted.
"$1,500." Damian declared.
"What? No!" she shrieked.
"$2000." Tim joined in to the debate, gaining the attention of the class.
Damian smirked and grabbed her face, stared into her eyes and whispered, "$5,000."
"Okay!" Marinette shouted, "I give."
"So, $1,100?" Tim asked.
"Yes." she said with a sigh.
"You know," Tim stated, "most designers try to up the price; not put the price down."
Marinette pouted, "No fair."
Damian chuckled.
Tim quickly took a picture of the soft look he was giving her.
"We'll talk to Father about having you over." Damian spoke.
"And you can bet that Dick will also ask for stuff!" Tim announced, "We're gonna have to buy you some sketchbooks."
Marinette paled at the though of trying to get these guys to listen to reason.
"Family discount?" she pleaded.
"$2,000 a design." Tim said.
"Damn, you rich people." she growled, "I'll make a price list, okay!"
"If you're not fair in your prices, I can guarantee we'll overcharge." Damian smirked.
"Dammit." Mari frowned.
Tim got up and left the table, quickly sending the picture to everyone in the family chat.
Damian brought her close once more and kissed her head. Marinette pouted, but leaned into his embrace.
Bruce brought up Marinette's information on his computer as the background check finished in the background. She was fifteen, same age as Damian. She was born in Paris to Sabine Cheng and Thomas Dupain. They both ran an affluential bakery together out of their home. This was the second time she had left Paris. The first time was when she was nine and went to Saudi Arabia with her grandmother. They stayed for the summer and it seems it was that trip that they met on. Marinette had mentioned they hadn't kept in touch, but he'd have to get the whole story from Damian later.
Marinette was one of the top in her year, class president, she was in the art club at school and was an upcoming fashion designer in the making. She knew many celebrities already and had her work evaluated by Gabriel Agreste and Style Queen, both prominent fashion figures. She obviously didn't need anything from his family. He'd take precautions for now.
"Hello, Tom and Sabine's Bakery!" the voice chimed, "This is Sabine speaking. How can I help you?"
"Hello, Mrs. Cheng, this is Bruce Wayne from Gotham. It has come to my knowledge that our children know each other." he explained, "Damian brought Marinette to see me earlier today. He said they met in Saudi Arabia when she traveled with her grandmother."
"Oh!" Sabine commented, a bit startled, "I was unaware she knew anyone in Gotham."
"Too be fair, Damian only moved here five years ago and they said they were unable to keep in contact. They said something about their grandfathers being against modern technology?" Bruce spoke.
Sabine let out a small chuckle, "Yes. I'm afraid Tom's father fears technology is advancing too fast. He is a bit stuck in his old ways."
"The reason I called was that I wanted to get to know her a bit more. I wanted to invite her to dinner so her and Damian could interact more, but I am aware she is on a fieldtrip here and would most likely need verification from you and the school for even two hours away from her class." Bruce admitted.
The silence on the phone was deafening.
"Give me one moment." Sabine spoke, before leaving to speak her husband.
They seemed cautious, which he was glad for.
"We will allow Marinette to visit, if she wishes, but she has to call us at dinner." Tom explained, "We can talk with her principal about any paperwork she might need signed for the dinner invitation."
"Please, call me back at this number. You will be patched directly to my line. I will take the utmost care of your daughter while she is with my family, like she was one of my own." Bruce stated as he ended the call.
"Come on, Marinette!" shouted Alya, "You can tell us!"
"What's Damian Wayne like?" asked Sabrina.
"Is he as sweet as Lila says?" questioned Rose.
Marinette proceeded to ignore all their questions as she made her way to her hotel room.
"Hey!" shouted Kim, "We're talking to you!"
"Why would I tell any of you anything?" Marinette retorted, "You are all bullies to me."
"We don't bully you." replied Juleka.
"Oh, so I imagined you tearing up my homework, tripping me in he hallways, spilling drinks on me, leaving me with bills to pay after calling me to go out to eat." Marinette sneered at them, "I can go on. My friends know me; you don't." as she closed the door in their shocked faces.
The class looked at each other before quietly leaving to their rooms out of guilt.
Lila proceeded to take over the shower the moment Alya returned. The reporter had brushed off her fake tears by putting headphones on and continued to look through her phone. As Lila ran the hot water, she could feel the cracks in her kingdom walls. No one was listening to her anymore, all because she made the mistake of saying she knew Damian Wayne. As if it wasn't bad enough, he flirted with Marinette the whole time, claiming they were 'old friends'. They weren't even dating!
Adrien and Alix smirked before knocking on her door. She opened the door immediately, already expecting them.
"So." Adrien smirked, as they entered.
"Are you going to give us the full rundown?" Alix asked, jumping on the bed.
Marinette closed the door and sighed, "We met a couple years ago and he lived with his mom. I was on a trip with my nona, but we couldn't keep in touch. I was actually shocked to see him here."
"And what about all that giggling and possessiveness?" Adrien asked.
"There was no possessiveness!" Marinette quipped.
"Oh, so he didn't shout out that you were his during lunch, said he would pay $5000 for your clothes and kiss your head." Adrien smiled cattishly.
Marinette blushed as she got her pajamas out.
"And it’s not like you leaned into his arms as he did that." Alix spoke sarcastically.
"I don’t know, okay! We had one summer!" Mari exclaimed, "I'd like to get to know him more, that's for sure."
"He seemed really happy to see you." Alix suggested, as Adrien nodded happily.
"I'm not going to get my hopes up just because you two think you see something, right now, Damian Al-Damian Wayne is my friend." Mari stated, firmly.
Adrien and Alix looked at each other smugly.
"Damian." Bruce called, "We need to talk."
Damian followed silently to his father's office.
As Bruce took his seat, he thought of the soft look that Tim had captured on his youngest son's face.
"I'd like to ask you more about Marinette." the eldest Wayne admitted, "How did you meet?"
"Mother had me accompany her on a mission. I'm not sure if the mission changed, but she made Marinette my mission. It was Mother's way of training me, I suppose." Damian began, "I was to act like an ordinary child. I was to report to her every night what I had learned about her. My goal was to learn her secret."
Bruce saw this as a good thing. Maybe Talia was trying to get him to see life outside of the League.
"I was her tour guide all summer." Damian continued, "Her 'secret' was that she wanted to be a fashion designer. She showed me some designs and saw she was talented for her age. I made the mistake of telling Mother. Mother asked her to make her three dresses and Mari was very efficient. She's much like Drake in that aspect. I don't think she ever slept. Her fingers were littered with puncture marks from sewing the clothes by hand."
"Did Talia try and enlist her?" Bruce questioned.
"Marinette never showed any other skills that would be necessary for the League. I don't know how she would have reacted to blood, so it's possible Mother could have wanted her as a doctor or seamstress. To my knowledge, Mother never pursued her." the young Wayne concluded.
Bruce was convinced that Marinette Dupain-Cheng was nothing but an innocent civilian and had merely befriended Damian in his youth. With a nod of his head, Damian left and Bruce brought up the number to the Dupain-Cheng bakery again.
"Hello?" answered a deep voice.
"Mr. Dupain, this is Bruce Wayne." he stated.
"Oh, Mr. Wayne, have you spoken to Marinette?" Tom asked.
"No, not yet." he answered, "I wanted to extend and invitation for her to stay here at our Manor."
"Does Marinette know about this?" asked Sabine, joining the conversation.
"My sons are watching over the class and have noticed a hostility towards her. One of her classmates seems to tell anything but the truth. When they arrived, my son told me that she claimed to be dating him. He called her out right away, but I fear she might retaliate against your daughter. If this liar continues, I believe her lies could get herself or the class kidnapped." Bruce continued.
"We know who you are talking about." Tom spoke.
"Marinette use to be on good terms with her whole class." Sabine explained, "Ever since that liar showed up, they turned against her for the girl promising them many things."
"Like knowing my son." concluded the eldest Wayne.
"Yes." Marinette's mother answered.
"I think it'll be for the best." Tom interrupted, "Marinette could use the break and would be able to relax. I think she needs this more then we think."
"I can send over the necessary paperwork in just a moment." Bruce smiled over the phone.
He couldn't wait to see Damian's reaction.
Damian ran up to Marinette the next day of the tour and hugged her. Dick watched from the sidelines and chuckled, seeing his youngest brother act his age and all for a girl he knew years ago.
"Marinette, my father informed me this morning that you will be able to spend the trip with us at the manor!" he announced.
"Really?" Mari asked, shocked.
Adrien and Alix high-fived each other, as the class watched the announcement in disbelief.
"What about my class? The tour?" Marinette questioned.
"We'll still have to do the tour with Dick because I'm translating and technically, you are still are in school, but then you get to come home with me." Damian replied.
"I'm sorry, but I'm her guardian and-" Caline interrupted.
"Actually, you're not." Damian glared at the teacher.
Obviously, no one had the gall to ever speak back to her. She looked like she had just been punched in the face that someone younger then her had spoken back to her. With great joy, Damian handed her a paper.
"That is a copy for your purpose and you are being recorded so you cannot say you never got it." the young Wayne spoke, taking command of the room, "We called her parents who were more then happy to sign temporary guardianship over to my father."
"They did?" Mari asked.
"Yes, Angel." Damian answered, placing an arm around her waist, "This time, I'm making sure you sleep at night."
"But-" Marinette tried to speak up.
"No. You need sleep and working on your projects are not a reason to sleep during the day. I get enough of that from Drake!" he exclaimed.
"Drake?" she asked.
He sighed, replying, "My brother that asked you for clothes. He never sleeps and lives off of coffee."
"I should probably make him pj's then." Mari announced, happily.
"I don't think he would even wear them." Damian spoke, "He rarely makes it to his bed."
"He'll wear mine." she spoke, confidently.
No one was ever able to get a word alone with Marinette with her bodyguard around. As soon as the tour was over, Damian pulled her outside, let her in a car, and drove off.
No one spoke to Lila the whole way back to the hotel.
Adrien and Alix made sure to text her. The wanted to know if she knew she was leaving the class and if she liked her new room.
In a matter of seconds she informed them that Bruce had gotten her a sewing machine and she had gone fabric shopping.
Oh no.
Damian is adamant about giving me a forced sleep schedule.
He doesn't know what he's in for.
LOL
Lila could feel her kingdom of lies were crumbling. She hadn't expected Marinette to actually know Damian Wayne. He had even moved her safely away from the class into his manor! Not only that, but he had no quarrels about outing her to everyone. Adrien even helped! He had translated that the tour guide had stated that Damian only moved to Gotham five years ago. She knew Damian was very well known in the aspects of high-society, she hadn't expected to well know throughout Gotham.
"Damian is just shy. You know, he was very sad after his older brother Tom Grayson died. His parents were drug addicts and old Bruce took him in. He had seen him wandering around Gotham and felt so bad for him." Lila whispered to the class.
Damian stopped walking, turned and glared at her.
He turned to the tour guide and whispered something in his ear. Dick immediately left the class.
'Did he hear me?'
"Excuse me, are we stopping the tour?" asked Caline.
"No. I was just translating to my oldest brother, Richard Grayson-Wayne, what the liar in your class was saying about him." as Dick walked away, "He is obviously not deceased and he didn't grow up in Gotham. Not to mention, his parents weren't drug addicts. They were murdered before an audience of people. My father witnessed it and as my father witnessed his own parents murder, as a child, he took him in of his own accord."
Lila paled at the confrontation.
Dick walked back with Bruce by his side. It was very obvious that he was related to Damian. Their bone structure was the same. The only difference between them was their skin tone, eye color, and the way Damian styled his hair. Lila had claimed he was old, but Bruce Wayne looked young. There wasn't a grey hair in sight and he seemed very fit.
"Miss Rossi," Bruce declared in perfect French, "if you tell one more lie about my family, I will not only kick you off of this trip, but you will be sued for slander and defamation. With a lawsuit, I can guarantee that it is very unlikely for you to get a job in anything run by my family."
"Mr. Wayne, do you really not know her?" asked Sabrina.
"No, I don't." he answered, "Damian told me already about her lying about them being in a relationship. My son moved here when he was ten. Before that, I had no clue about his existence. Marinette met him when he lived with his mother. Damian doesn't go to any galas and my son's lives are not a stepping stone. Is that understood, Miss Rossi?"
Lila nodded her head in shame.
"How old were you when you adopted Mr. Grayson?" asked Nino.
"I was in my early twenties when I adopted Dick. He was eight." Bruce answered.
"Lila didn't mean any harm." Bustier interjected.
"Madam, with all due respect, this is not a joke! I will take legal action against her! She could easily be kidnapped and held for ransom because someone in Gotham will believe her. I am not liable for a ransom. That would be on you. Would you be able to come up with millions of dollars for her? Her parents? Would they get here in time to save her?" Bruce stated, leaving the French teacher stunned, "Well?"
"N-No, Sir." Caline spoke, dejectedly.
"Then her death would be on your hands, not mine. All I'd have to say is that she is a visiting student with dreams of grandeur. Then, she's be dead." the eldest Wayne continued.
Lila could feel tears pool in her eyes.
"I suggest you speak with your student and her parents about her lying habits, if she wants to keep her life." he stated, before walking away.
Dick, Damian, and Marinette smiled brightly at the class.
"We'll be taking a small break for lunch." Dick declared and led them to the cafeteria.
As everyone took their seat, Lila sat by herself. It seemed the looming threat of death, hanging over her head, was enough to keep everyone away permanently. Caline took a seat next to her and gently reminded her that her 'lying habit' was a disease and she couldn't help herself. Lila merely nodded her head as she silently ate her food.
The trip had been a huge mistake. She had tried to get one of the world's billionaire's sons in her grasp, but Marinette had him ensnared for years without her knowledge. Not only had she been reprimanded for her lying in front of everyone, but it had been made abundantly clear that she would be kidnapped in Gotham for her lies. It had never occurred to her that she could be held for ransom, that no one would come to save her. She could die and no one would be to blame. She wasn't sure how her week could get any worse.
"Can I talk to you in private?" Marinette whispered to Damian, as everyone ate.
With a nod, he pulled them away into a secluded area.
As he closed the door behind them, Marinette mustered her courage, got on her tip toes and kissed his cheek. Damian blushed as she mumbled a thank you.
"For what?" he asked.
"For a long time, that liar was bullying me and just about everyone in my class believed her." she answered honestly, not seeing the fury in behind his eyes, "You helped me, even if you didn't mean to."
Damian looked into her eyes, before leaning down and placing featherlike kiss upon them. He was a bit surprised when Marinette kissed back.
"You're mine, Angel. I'll bring hell on Earth if she tries something again. Just say the word." Damian spoke, when he pulled away.
Marinette smiled up at him and nodded.
"We should get lunch." Damian stated, "Anyone you want to bring to the table?"
"Alix and Adrien." Marinette smiled, confidently.
As they grabbed their lunch, she beckoned them over. Eagerly, they left their table and went to sit with their friend.
"So, " Adrien spoke, taking a bite of his fries, "when are you two gonna start dating?"
"Adrien!" Marinette cried out, embarrassed.
"What?" he shrugged, "Everyone can see it."
Marinette blushed in response.
"I suppose a date or two wouldn't hurt." Damian stated.
"What?" Marinette blushed, turning to face Damian.
Adrien and Alix laughed at their friend's reaction.
"Did you think that me kissing you meant nothing?" the young Wayne questioned.
"You kissed!" Adrien and Alix shouted, "Why didn't you tell us?"
The class and everyone in the cafeteria looked in their direction.
Damian shot them down with a glare and they quickly silenced their eagerness.
"Teach me how to do that and I'll date you right now." Marinette replied. She definitely need to learn that trick!
Dick and Tim approached the table, laughing.
"Only the Demon Spawn would win someone over with his glare." Drake laughed as Dick texted everyone in the group chat Marinette's reaction to the 'Demon Stare'.
"I can teach you back at home." Damian answered, eyeing his family.
"Oh, so it's 'home' now and not the 'manor'?" teased Alix.
Marinette turned red and glared at her laughing friends. They instantly tightened their lips and looked away. Dick and Tim cackled.
"Maybe you are the one who should be feared, Habibiti." Damian smirked.
The rest of the class shifted uncomfortably realizing they had been singled out of Marinette's life.  No matter how much they asked, she never told them anything about Damian. They tried to ask Alix and Adrien, but Alix would just glare at them and Adrien would just shake his head and walk away.
Nino shifted uncomfortably in front of Adrien as he waited to hear any news about Marinette.
Adrien sighed, "Nino, we're friends, but none of you deserve to know anything about Mari after everything you've done to her. Why do you care now?"
"Look, we messed up." Nino admitted.
"Yeah and Mari gets to decide whether she forgives you or not, and so far, it's not. If you're only talking with me, to get to her, forget it." Adrien spoke before walking back to his hotel room.
Nino left back to the class, without another word.
"Anything?" asked Nathaniel.
Nino shook his head.
"But you two are friends, best friends!" Alya cried out.
"I don't think we are….not anymore." Nino spoke, "He respects Marinette's decision to be mad at us and that she needs to make the first move, if she forgives us or not."
"But that's not fair!" Mylene frowned.
"And neither were we." stressed Rose.
"Huh?" Kim questioned.
"Marinette is right." Juleka confirmed, "We were bullies to her."
"We tore up her homework and pushed her." Max stated.
"You dumped drinks on her." Sabrina commented.
"You threw food at her." Ivan pointed out.
"You stopped inviting her to places." Nathaniel sighed.
"But that's because Lila said-" Alya began to explain.
"And why should we have believed Lila in the first place!" Ivan shouted.
Alya frowned.
"Most of us have known Marinette forever and the fact that we believed Lila, probably hurt her very much." Kim continued.
Several classmates nodded.
"Honestly, I don't think she should ever forgives us, I just want her to know I'm sorry." Juleka expressed.
The class filtered back to their rooms one by one until only Alya and Nino were left.
"What do you think?" Alya questioned, wrapping her arms around herself.
"I agree with them." Nino answered.
"You do?" she asked.
"I've known Mari for years. I….I just sided with you." Nino spoke.
"What?" Alya replied, confused.
"You said Lila wouldn't lie, but I never thought, 'would Mari'? After all those years…..I never thought 'what about Marinette'? I don't deserve to be her friend or Adrien's." Nino answered.
"So, you just sided with me because, what, I'm your girlfriend?" Alya asked.
"Yeah." Nino replied.
Alya quickly left to her room. She hated that she had believed in Lila so much and now was stuck with her. No one had wanted to switch with her. Alya quickly gathered her stuff and went into the bathroom to shower.
As she sat in the shower, she kept her sobs silent.
'Why does Nino get to say that? Why did he have to make it feel like it was all her fault?'
It was all answered when she heard herself ask Marinette for proof of Lila lying. That was all it took to realize that Marinette was right; they weren't friends.
The next day, Alya gathered up everyone, but Marinette, Adrien, Alix and Lila.
"I did some thinking and you all were right. I think we should write Marinette a letter of apology, individually, so she knows it's personal. She has every right to do anything she wants with them, once we hand them over. That includes…never reading them." Alya suggested, "If you agree, we should do it when we get home."
As the class got ready for their flight, they could sense the tension between the two lingering behind. Marinette was dragging her feet as they were getting ready to head back to Paris. She had just found Damian again and she wasn't ready to say bye.
Marinette wiped her tears away and sighed.
"At least this time, we have a way to communicate." Damian stated, pulling her into his arms, "I definitely want to see you again; maybe in the summer."
"I don't know if Maman and Papa will let me come to Gotham over the summer." Mari whimpered.
"Who said anything about you coming here?" he smirked, "I can visit you."
"Really?" she asked, her first smile all day.
Damian merely leaned down and captured her lips.
"I'll see you in a couple months, Habibiti." he whispered, "I figured you could use a nice treat so I upgraded you, Alix and Adrien to first class. Relax and enjoy your flight and we'll talk once you are safely home."
"As soon as I am home, I will text you." she said as Adrien called her name.
Damian kissed her quickly before she rushed beyond the boarding zone. With a wave, he headed back home.
Alix and Adrien were quickly on edge as they noticed the class was eerily quiet. As they made their way to Marinette, many of them stood up. Fearing it was another one of Lila's quarrels, they immediately stood in front of Marinette for protection.
Alya took the first step forward.
"We, as a class," she began, "talked it over and realized we were unfair to you. We don't expect you to forgive us, but we did, individually, write you a letter. We know you might even throw them in the trash and that's okay, too."
Alya placed her envelope on Marinette's desk and silently, went back to her seat. Everyone followed Alya's lead and avoided looking back at the girl they had once called friend.
Adrien and Alix glanced at Marinette. She had lowered her head and was biting her lip to keep from sobbing.
Alix quickly placed the envelopes in Marinette's bag. It was only right that Marinette decide their fate. Adrien took the seat next to her and pulled her into a hug.
As the bell rang, Caline walked in with Lila, in tow. Lila wordlessly took her seat. Before Bustier could start the class, Alya stood up, gaining the attention of the class.
"We have all written Marinette a note and we, as a class, believe that Lila should also write her a letter of apology." Alya stated.
"What?" Lila questioned, looking at her classmates.
'Surely, they were joking!'
"You told us she bullied you!" shouted Sabrina.
"We tore up her homework for you!" cried Kim.
"Statistically, that would result in her grades dropping in percentage." Max quipped.
"You told us she pushed you down the stairs so we tripped her." shouted Ivan.
"We turned into bullies because we believed you!" cried Rose.
"If anyone has something to say to her, it's you!" Alya declared.
"Yeah!" they cried out, collectively.
"Class-" Bustier tried to rein them in.
"Why did you hate Marinette, so much, that you made us turn against her?" questioned Nathaniel.
"Is it because she's nice?" asked Mylene.
"Is it because she could do thing you couldn't?" smirked Chloe.
"Class-" Bustier attempted once more.
"Why would you turn us against her?" cried out Nino.
"Because she knew right away I was lying, okay! She knew and Adrien knew!" Lila shouted.
"I knew." Chloe imputed, as she filed her nails.
"But they tried to expose me!" Lila continued.
"Well, you're the dumbass who lied!" shouted Alix.
Lila turned to Marinette and saw her wrapped in Adrien's arms.
"You're just a baker's daughter! Why do you get two boyfriends? Why do you have Adrien Agreste and Damian Wayne wrapped around your finger?" Lila exploded, "You're nothing special! You're some nobody who thinks being nice will get her to high places! I'm the daughter of an ambassador; I deserve better! They should be groveling at my feet and you just…smile?"
The room was stunned. Lila Rossi was finally showing them her true colors and they weren't pretty.
Adrien slowly unwrapped his arms from Marinette and stood up.
"Marinette and I are not dating, but she is my best friend. That is something you will never understand because you don't have friends." Adrien responded, "I told you, Lila, to stop lying and you could've had friends. You could have had real friends."
"You mean like these losers, who dropped her faster than a magic act?" she questioned, rolling her eyes, "Yeah; some friends."
"You never even tried to get to know us! Marinette is my best friend because she treats me like everyone else! I hate being that stupid poster boy; if I could swap lives with anyone, it would be Marinette! Alix is my friend, who I can talk history and sports with. Kagami is a friend who shares my joy of trying new things. We talk with Luka about music and clothes." Adrien continued, "You may have separated Marinette from this class, but it is her kind personality that draws people in. You tried the same thing, didn't you? You told them you would get them celebrity meets and things because you were so nice?"
Lila glared at him, remaining silent.
"And you're wrong about Marinette being a nobody. Marinette Dupain-Cheng is hardworking, kind, sweet, and an honest person. She wowed my father with one of her designs and I wore it on the runway. She was selected by Style Queen for an apprenticeship! She was kind enough to help someone when they fell and she was given a spot in a music video and turned it down because she didn't want to be in the spotlight. Her parents are the best bakers in Paris and her uncle is a world-renowned chef! She was selected to be a gopher in Chloe's hotel and instead created something unique and it is something that Jagged Stone wears every time he comes to Paris! He did a special at her house! He's gotten her to design his CD covers, posters, t-shirts! Hell, I asked her for an autograph! All of these were done before we even met you." Adrien stated, glaring back at her.
Marinette quickly stood up next to him.
"Mari?" he questioned, "Did I go too far?"
Without a word, she grabbed his hand. Adrien picked up their bags and led her out of the room, glaring at Lila.
Caline sat in her seat, unsure of how she had handled everything. She was suddenly very aware that she had no control over her students and that she never did. The class began to cheer as Alix started the applause.
Adrien quickly led Marinette into the bakery through the side door.
"Hello?" Tom called.
Adrien waved as he led Marinette upstairs. He could hear her parent's whispers of concern about her being back so soon. He led her to her chaise and she finally let out the sob she was holding in.
Adrien got her phone as she tried to bury her sobs with her pillow. He went up to the balcony and dialed Damian's number.
"Angel? Why are you calling me so early?" Damian questioned.
"It's Adrien, actually." the young Agreste replied.
"Where's Marinette?" Damian demanded.
"I brought her back home before school even started." he answered.
"Is she okay?" the young Wayne asked.
"She's okay, but overwhelmed. The class gave her individual letters of apologizes. They even said she could throw them away, if she wanted to, but that they were sorry." Adrien spoke, "They tried to get Lila to apologize, too."
"Did she hurt My Angel?" Damian asked.
"If anything, I think she revealed that she was jealous of Marinette. That she wants to be like her, just without the effort." Adrien replied.
"There's only one of My Angel." Damian spoke.
"Yeah." Adrien smiles, looking into the room, "Looks like she fell asleep. I just figured you should know, in case she didn't tell you."
"Thanks, Agreste." Damian stated, hanging up the call.
Adrien placed her phone back in her bag and kissed her head.
"You're amazing, Bug. Don't ever let them forget it." he whispered, before heading back to class.
Marinette looked down at the scrapbook filled with photos from her wedding. The first page held their wedding invitation. The next couple pages were littered with photos from the wedding. She smiled at every page.
There was a picture of her with all the Waynes; her new family. Underneath was her with her parents, grandparents, and her uncle. Finally there was a photo of them altogether.
Alix was sticking her tongue out in the next one. Under the photo it read: This is my wedding gift to you! She always smiled at seeing Alix in the pine green bridesmaid dress.
Next, was a picture of Adrien and Jon smiling, labeled Man of Honor and Best Man. After that was a picture someone had taken of them kissing in the garden. That photos had caused quite the stir.
There were pictures of her individually dancing with each Wayne and her parents. Her mother had managed to rope in one dance with her son-in-law. She even had one of her dancing with Adrien. They had joked the whole time about dancing at Chloe's party years ago.
There were pictures of the cake and it being cut. The look on Damian's face when she placed a smear of frosting on his nose reminded her of Alfred the cat's startled face. She had laughed so hard.
There were photos that were later published from all the celebrities and her clients that had attended. The media had been a bit of a storm after the found out the had missed the 'Wedding of the Century'.
"Mommy!" Amaya cried out, opening the door to her mother's study.
"Hey, Am-" Marinette began.
"I want a princess dress for my birthday party next month!" Amaya announced.
"Is that right?" Mrs. Wayne smiled, "What kind of princess?"
"Princess Jasmine!" the little girl shouted.
Marinette smiled. It had become her favorite movie to watch ever since Dick had showed it to her and let it slip that her father was also Arabic. She had become adamant in having her father teach her Arabic so she could be a real princess.
"Okay. Let me put this away." Marinette chuckled.
Amaya rushed to help her mother up from her chair and pulled her arm. Once on her feet, Amaya hugged Marinette's stomach.
"Hello, in there, Little Prince." Amaya whispered.
Marinette patted her daughter on her head and placed the scrapbook, back on the shelf. Next to it, was a scrapbook filled with all the letters from her old class. She ran her hand gently along the spine. She knew they meant well and she had eventually forgiven them, but things were never the same after Lila. They were acquaintances, at best. She wished it hadn't ended the way it did, but she wouldn't trade her life for anything; not even them.
"Mommy!" Amaya cried out, once more.
"I'm coming." Marinette smiled, "Let me get my sketchbook and we can design you a dress worthy of a Sultana."

DD2020: School
WARNING: LONG POST!!!
Damian sighed as he took his seat in the Great Hall. The new first years were arriving and would soon be sorted into their houses. He had heard whispers that two known Slytherin households were arriving so there were at least two new students joining. As the hall was filled, he noticed the two right away: Chloe Bourgeois and Kagami Tsurugi.
One by one the students were sorted. He watched as a girl with bright blue eyes and her raven hair, tied in pigtails, walked towards the Sorting Hat.
'How childish. Definitely, Hufflepuff material.'
To his surprise, she was sorted to Slytherin. It seemed the others shared his mindset and she was quickly snubbed for her childlike wonder. Marinette took her seat amongst her housemates. Once the ceremony came to a close, she was soon forgotten.
Over the weeks, he had noticed her laughing joyfully with the other houses. Marinette was studious in her spells and was quick to help others, if they needed it.
'Perhaps the Sorting Hat made a mistake.'
It only pissed him off more when he learned that their Garden Snake fell for a Gryffindor Fledgling named Adrien Agreste. As if it wasn't bad enough, Chloe and Kagami liked him, as well. Damian didn't get what the big deal was. He understood that Chloe had known Agreste his whole life and Kagami had been introduced shortly before school began, but what was Marinette's reasoning? Damian hated him on sight: he smiled at everything, he was naïve, he seemed to ignore friends until they needed him most. He didn't see the appeal. To him, it only furthered his thinking that Marinette was never meant to be in the Slytherin Den.
After Christmas Break, the returning Slytherins were introduced to a new snake: Lila Rossi. Lila had charmed just about everyone during the break. It was only when she began to charm the returnees, that everything went wrong. She noticed that she didn't have everyone's attention. Some of the girls giggled and walked away. Another rolled her eyes and left. She knew she had to act fast to get her target: Damian Wayne.
Lila attempted to cozy up to him. She offered to bring him drinks and snacks. She offered to help him study. None of it worked.
Damian slammed his book shut and growled out, "I don't need or want some bitch trying to gain my family name. Apparently, you can't take a hint; fuck off and stay away from me!"
The dormitory went silent as he stood up and went to his room. Chloe immediately began to laugh.
"I told you she was after him. And with those ridiculous lies of hers, who would ever want her." the Bourgeois heiress cackled, "Claiming to be my cousin, the goddaughter of the Minister of Magic? Claiming to be a descendant of Harry Potter? She couldn't keep a story straight to save a life."
Lila ran to her room as the rest of the Slytherin Den began to laugh. She needed a new plan. Damian Wayne was obviously off the table, but who? Lila immediately began to look for her second best option and found Adrien Agreste was coveted by most of her age group.
'Perfect.'
The only problem she had was Marinette Dupain-Cheng. It was known throughout her grade that she harbored feeling for the Agreste heir, except by Adrien. Many of their grade hoped they would get together, calling them the 'perfect couple that would be'.
Lila was quick to spread rumors to the other houses about how Marinette 'really' was inside their House. She told them how Marinette was rude and mean to her. That Marinette had kicked her off her bed because apparently it was her favorite spot in the dorms to relax. She told them how Marinette made the other Slytherins help her to her work to make sure she passed her classes. She told them how much worse Marinette got once she learned that she also liked Adrien.
It was only when Adrien stepped in and told Marinette to back off Lila, that everything clicked into place. Marinette defended herself, claiming that none of what Lila had said was true.
Adrien brought Marinette into his arms and whispered, "I know."
"What?" Mari questioned.
"I know she's lying, but she's probably scared of being so far behind. I think Lila only wants to make friends." Adrien declared, "Let her make friends and then everything will go back to normal. Just take the high road. It's not like she's hurting anyone."
Marinette nodded and walked away, feeling her feelings begin to chip away. How could the person she care about the most, tell her Lila was more important then her own feelings? It only got worse.
Once the rumors began to circulate the halls, the rest of the Slytherins were quick to defend their Garden Snake. To the rest of the Houses, it only proved to them that Lila was telling the truth The Snake Den knew Marinette was the sweetest Slytherin ever. Lila was immediately snubbed in the Snake Den and deemed a Basilisk. They all began to sneer at her and no one would help her with anything. She quickly told the others how Marinette turned everyone against her. The other first years told Lila they would do all they could to help her.
Damian relaxed in the dormitory. Everyone else had gone to the Great Hall for lunch. He had elected himself to some piece and quiet. It was then that Marinette burst into the sitting room, sobbing.
'So much for peace and quiet.'
As much as he wanted to walk away, he knew that everyone would be returning soon. He picked her up off the floor and carried her to his room.
'I'm getting to the bottom of this.'
"What happened?" questioned Damian.
"Lila." Marinette hiccupped, "She threatened me and turned my friends against me."
"Then, they weren't your friends." He replied.
"But-" she began.
"True friends stand by you. Take Jon for example." Damian interrupted.
"Jon?" Mari asked.
"He's a second year; Gryffindor. He's my best friend." he admitted.
Marinette smiled at his answer.
"What did Rossi do?" he asked.
Mari sighed, "She claims I'm sabotaging her spells, ripping up her scrolls-"
"Bustier?" Damian questioned.
She nodded.
"She wouldn't know a cursing spell from a clumsy spell. I'm honestly surprised she's still working here." Damian stated.
"I don't know what to do anymore." Marinette replied, as a tear rolled down her cheek.
At that moment, one of Damian's roommates entered the room. He took in the sight of Marinette of Damian's bed, wiping tears away, with him next to her.
"Everything okay here?" he questioned.
"Yes; get out!" Damian shouted.
"Rossi?" the guy asked.
Damian nodded and the roommate left, without a word.
"Who do you consider a friend inside this house?" He asked.
"Almost everyone, actually." Marinette responded.
"Give me five names." Damian demanded.
"Kagami. Chloe's been nicer. You." Mari answered, "I trust you three the most."
Damian nodded, unaware how to respond that she had chosen him as a close friend.
"Stick close to their sides. No one believes Rossi in this house. She's on her own her." Damian spoke, "When class ends, I'll find you."
"What?" Marinette questioned.
"I'll make sure Rossi never comes near you again." He stated.
Marinette threw her arms around him, "Thank you, Damian!"
He slowly hugged her back, realizing he like how she felt perfectly in his arms.
She pulled back and placed a light kiss on his cheek.
"You're a great person, Damian." Marinette said, before leaving his room.
Damian remained glued to his spot, blushing. He had never thought himself as a 'great person' and in less then ten minutes, Marinette Dupain-Cheng had called him a friend and a great person.
Word spread quickly throughout the Slytherin Den and it was silently accepted that Marinette was never to be aloud near Basilisk Rossi, without another Slytherin present. It aggravated Lila to no end that Marinette had their whole House wrapped around her finger.
The next day when class ended, Kagami and Chloe quickly blocked Lila's path to Marinette and glared at her as Marinette grabbed her belongings. They made sure Marinette walked out of class first and she was quickly swept away with Damian Wayne.
They made it all too easy for her to create a new rumor: Marinette Dupain-Cheng was trying to seduce Damian Wayne. First, Adrien Agreste and now Wayne? Marinette Dupain-Cheng might be looking to join a wealthy family.
Once Jon heard the rumor in his House, he knew he had to speak to his best friend. He asked him to meet by the trees.
"What do you want, Kent?" Damian questioned, "And why the secrecy?"
"I heard a rumor in my House and it had to deal with you." Jon admitted.
Damian noticed Adrien peeking towards their direction and hide.
"Well, what is it?" Damian demanded.
"People are saying that Marinette Dupain-Cheng is seducing you." Jon stated.
"You heard this from your fellow Gryffindor's? That the sweetest little snake we've ever had, seduced me?" Damian smirked, seeing a tip of blonde peek out, "Marinette isn't even a Basilisk; she's more of a Garden Snake, all cute with no fangs to defend herself."
Jon laughed, "So, she isn't trying anything with you?"
"If anything, I've been the one seducing her." Damian spoke, hearing a book drop, "I mean it as pretty easy with Basilisk Rossi on a war path. All those rumors she spread about Marinette. She definitely would have been a Death Eater if she was our parents ages. Rossi is the one who tried and failed miserably to persuade me. I told her to fuck off."
"What about Marinette?" Jon asked, "I've only been hearing the rumors."
"Hell, we're not even sure how she got into Slytherin. She bakes cookies. She helps everyone study. She helped a sixth year and quizzed him before his exam!" Damian chuckled, "It was really easy to lure her away from your Golden Boy, Agreste. All I had to do was listen to her and she'd run into my arms."
Adrien froze behind the wall.
"Who ever heard of taking the 'high road with lies?" Damian questioned.
Jon sighed, "I tried to tell him and explain it from another's perspective. Take care of Marinette. She sounds like a sweetheart."
"She is." the young Wayne spoke, leaving Jon alone and Adrien to deal with what he had overheard.
"Felix, I need some advice." Adrien admitted, as he spoke to his cousin, via fireplace.
"What is it?" Felix sighed.
"A new girl came into Hogwarts after Christmas and started telling people rumors about another friend of mine."
"And, you what; want to know how to get the new girl expelled?" Felix asked.
"U-um" Adrien stuttered.
Felix closed his book, sensing there was more going on.
"What did you do, Adrien?" he demanded.
"I asked my friend to take the high road and not expose her? The girl is new and only wants friends. I'm sure-" the Agreste heir started.
"You are a dumbass!" Felix shouted, startling his cousin.
Adrien had never known Felix to raise his voice. He knew Felix would call someone out on their behavior, especially if he disliked them. He would even glare at them until they left him alone, but he never raised his voice.
"What should I do?" Adrien asked.
"Get on your knees and grovel, if you plan on keeping the other girl as your friend." The Cupla heir declared, "I would have told you to fuck off, if you decided to tell me that bullshit! That girl has probably cried, all because you told her to ignore lies told about herself. If she's not defending herself, people are most likely believing whatever lies that new girl is telling about her!"
"What can I do right now?" Adrien questioned, "It's summer; we don't go back for another two months!"
"Practice apologizing and grow a spine, Cousin Dear. You'll need it to defend her, especially if no one else believes, because you didn't back her up. Of course, that's only if you plan to remain friends with her." Felix stated, "If not, then keep doing what you're doing: ignore her, let the lies continue.
Adrien sighed, "I….I just didn't want to cause any problems. Lila was new and she should be able to make friends."
Felix chuckled, "Dear Cousin, you created a problem. She still could have made friends, but now, any one who knows she's a liar, will never trust her. That, itself, should say something."
Adrien nodded his head.
"Whatever you do, it's up to you to decide." Felix stated, as he left the fireplace.
'I need to make this up to Marinette as soon as Hogwarts is back in session.'
Marinette smiled happily as she waved to her family and the Waynes. Her summer had been wonderful and as excited as she was for school, she knew it meant dealing with Lila again. Nothing could spoil her mood.
Damian had declared he wanted to spend the summer with her, shocking both their families. They ended up splitting it; a month with her family and the other month with his. Marinette had begun to teach him how to bake and cook only to find out his knife cutting skills were impressive. Damian was quick to help Tom with the kneading of the bread. It was his delicacy that needed the most work. He took to dealing with the rowdy customers and flirts. Marinette saw him get many numbers only for him to rip it up and throw it away in their view. Some of the girls had even started to cry.
When she had gone to Wayne's Manor, she was shocked by the size of it. Damian had told her that he had many siblings, but none of them were home when she arrived. She quickly took to helping Alfred in the kitchen. Alfred got a shocked when Damian volunteered to help as well. Dinner time, was a different story.
Damian had warned her, but seeing everyone at the table was a different story. All his brother's were adopted nd even though they had their own place, they still ate dinner together. His unofficial sisters joined them as well.
They all joked about their father's 'adoption habits' and told her to watch out or she would be next.
"I have already met her parents and they seem lovely." Bruce commented, making them snicker.
It wasn't until half way thru the meal, that Alfred thanked both of them for helping him with dinner. Jason immediately threw himself to the floor, claiming he had been poisoned. It was then that Marinette said that Damian had helped in her parent's bakery during his stay and complimented his knife skills. He got some glances at that, but Marinette smiled.
The best thing that happened during the summer was when Damian had asked her to be his girlfriend, with a picnic he had created by himself. They all agreed to invite the Dupain-Chengs' over for the holiday season so they could all celebrate together. The Waynes' absolutely adored her and were thrilled when they found out about the couple's relationship.
Adrien watched as Marinette smiled happily with Damian. He noticed a lot of Lila's followers frown at their closeness.
'It's now or never!'
Adrien ran up to her after class, only for Chloe and Kagami to stand in his way. Damian was quick to place his arm around her and sweep her away.
"Marinette!" Adrien shouted.
Marinette turned and looked at him. He pushed through Chloe and Kagami. Adrien ran over, but stopped short. He got on his hands and knees, putting his head to the floor.
"I'm so sorry, Marinette! I knew Lila was a liar, but I did nothing. I told you it would be fine, as long as we both knew, but she tried to blame you for so many things. I'm so sorry! I understand if you'll never forgive me and-" he confessed, only stopping when he felt someone touch his shoulder.
Adrien raised his head to see Marinette kneeling on the floor next to him. She could clearly see the tear stains on his face and that he meant what he had said.
"I forgive you." Marinette stated, "but I won't give you a second chance."
Adrien was quick to wrap his arms around her and cry into her cloak. Damian scowled as he watched the display.
Lila sneered and then quickly controlled herself, crying out, "She must have swayed him during the summer. Adrien refused to talk with me and sent a howler, demanding that I leave him alone."
Marinette helped Adrien up, as the new whispers surrounded them. She introduced him to Damian, announcing the Wayne heir as her boyfriend. Many of the older students cheered, while Lila only found another reason to hate her. Adrien warily held out his hand.
"I do not forgive easily." Damian glared at him, "Prove you mean it and that you're friends with My Angel. If this is some ploy, I'll break you."
Damian grabbed Marinette's hand and pulled her towards her next class. Chloe and Kagami hugged Adrien and grabbed his arms, walking him towards him next class.
"Welcome back, Adrien/Adrikins." they chimed.
"Who taught you how to apologize? You looked ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.' Chloe demanded.
"Felix." Adrien answered.
Chloe just rolled her eyes.
"What did Marinette say to change your mind?" Kim asked.
"She made you a liar!" shouted Nino.
"Don't become a bully, Adrien!" exclaimed Alya, "You're better then that snake trash!"
"I didn't lie when I apologized!" Adrien shouted, "Lila is a liar. It's why her house hates her!"
"No!" Juleka spoke up, "It's-"
"Did you know that Slytherins rank themselves by snakes?" the Agreste heir asked, "From the tamest to the deadliest. It's how they know who to trust so they don't have another Voldemort case. The smallest rank is a Garden Snake: cute, but defenseless. That is Mari. A Basilisk is deadly, easily provoked. That's Lila."
"You're lying!" Alix growled.
"No; he's not." Jon spoke, announcing his presence.
"Jon?" questioned Alya.
"I'm friends with Damian and that is exactly how they rank. No one trusts Lila because they know better. In fact, none of the older years trust her. It's only your year and the new Fledglings, that do." Jon admitted.
"You're lying!" claimed Ivan.
Jon shrugged and Adrien walked away with him.
Adrien found himself more and more secluded. It hurt and he only found it fitting since they had done the same to Marinette. Jon easily became his friend. They would hang out with the other Slytherins of older students. It was all too easy for Adrien to fall for Jon. Adrien quickly panicked over his feelings to Marinette and the girls, while Jon panicked over owl to his older brother and Damian, especially since Adrien was year younger then him.
Adrien closed his eyes and took deep breaths as many of the second years, he once called friends, surrounded him.
"We know your dating Lila, Adrien."
"We know you had a fight. Just make up!"
"Just kiss her already and make up!"
They started pushing him towards her. He shook his head as they laughed. He felt tears pool in his eyes as their laughter drowned him. Adrien covered his ears and shaking his head.
"Dude?" Nino voiced, noticing his behavior.
Marinette shoved them out of the way, causing them to yell at her. She turned and glared at them, causing them to freeze.
"Adrien, breathe." Marinette spoke taking a deep breath, "Breathe."
"Mari-" Nathaniel spoke.
"Adrien is claustrophobic, you dumbasses! Step the fuck back!" Marinette shouted, surprising them, as she pointed her wand in their direction.
In the whole time they had known her, she never once shouted.
Damian turned to the sound of his girlfriend's voice shouting. He had never heard her shout, not even when dealing with rude customers. She had only ever smiled and politely told them they were no longer welcomed. If they had escalated, he had always stepped in. Damian quickly rushed to her side.
'If Habibiti is yelling, this can't be good.'
Adrien laid still on her lap and took deep breathes.
"Are you okay?" Mari asked.
Adrien slowly blinked.
"What's going on?" Damian demanded.
"They were all surrounding him. He's claustrophobic." Marinette explained.
"Leviosa! I'll get him to the nurse." Damian spoke, "You find Jon; I'm sure he'll want to make sure his boyfriend is okay."
'Boyfriend!'
Marinette ran to look for Jon.
"I can't believe she made Damian lie for her." Lila whispered.
The group hurried over to the Nurse's Quarters to figure out what happened. They quickly noticed that Jon was hugging Adrien and checking on him. It shocked them to see them kiss, but no one was more shocked then Lila.
'Not again!'
"Do you need your medication, Adrien?" Jon asked.
Adrien shook his head.
"What happened?" the nurse asked.
"Some second years were trying to force me to be with another student, Lila Rossi. She claimed we were dating and that I wouldn't speak to her anymore. They surrounded me and kept pushing me towards her; they kept demanding I kiss her. They wanted us to make up. I started hyperventilating." Adrien admitted, "The next thing I know, I was laying in Marinette's lap and she was brushing my hair. She was telling me to breathe. I get claustrophobic. I don't like being in enclosed spaces."
The nurse nodded her head. Jon noticed most of the students in his house standing by the doorway and glared at them, making the nurse turn in their direction.
"Was it them?" she asked.
Adrien nodded and leaned more into Jon's arms, curling up for safety.
"Go; all of you. I will be speaking to the Head of your Houses and the Headmaster shortly!" the nurse cried, making them scamper away.
"Detention for two months!" Evelyn Malfoy declared.
"That's unfair!" Lila shouted, "Everyone else got one month!"
"You were the ringleader. It's fitting that your punishment is more severe. You have been sexually harassing another student. " Eve stated.
"But-" Lila started.
"We know Adrien is dating Jon because Jon is Damian's friend. They've been together for at least a month." the Head Prefect spoke, "You may have some of the Second and First years at you beck and call, but that’s all you have. You know very well you're on your own in this Snake Den. No one believes your crap and a simple truth potion will attest to that."
"You can't!" Lila cried, "It's forbidden!"
"Without the Headmaster's permission, but this is the Slytherin House. So what if we get punished, we'll do what it takes to protect our Garden Snake. Keep causing problems and we'll have you on display at the end of the year with some accidentally slipped into you pumpkin juice." Eve smiled, making Lila run out of the room.
When Lila opened her door, the girls in there sneered and pointed their wands at their belongings, cursing them. They quickly left.
'How could this happen to me? I'm suppose to become Head Girl, Prefect! Damian Wayne was suppose to fall at my feet and he cast me aside. I had to settle for Agreste! Adrien bent to my will last year, but something changed over the summer. He got on his hands and knees and begged for forgiveness to that Brat. I will find out what happened and Agreste will my ticket up the ladder!'
Alya saw as Adrien got ready to leave the Gryffindor house. She quickly excused herself and pulled out the invisibility potion she had made. She smashed it on the floor next to herself and hoped she would get the answers she needed. She quickly hurried after Adrien and followed him.
Alya groaned as he met up with Chloe and Kagami, two known Slytherins. She had hoped to learn if his relationship with Jon was a lie.
"How is Felix" asked Kagami.
'Felix?'
"He's good. I spoke to him over the summer, actually." Adrien admitted, "He sorta the person I talked to about everything and went to for advice for."
"What did he say?" Chloe asked.
"Well…you know how last year people were saying-" he began.
"This isn't your Gryffindor study group, Adrikins." Chloe sneered, "Lila. Just say disgrace of a witch's name."
'That bitch!'
Adrien nodded and continued, "Well, Lila claimed that last year that Mari was trying to seduce Damian."
"What of it?" Kagami asked.
"Stupidest thing I ever heard" Chloe responded.
"Well, Jon confronted Damian about it and I…sorta listened in." he admitted.
"What did Jon say?" questioned Kagami.
"He basically asked if it was true. Damian claimed Marinette wasn't. He said that everyone in the Slytherin house knew the stupid shit Lila was saying. He also said Mari had a crush on me?" Adrien blushed, leaving room for discussion.
"We all did, Adrikins." Chloe stated, admiring her nails.
"Oh! I, um-" Adrien babbled, trying to figure out what to say.
"You're gay, Adrikins. No hard feelings." Chloe shrugged off and Kagami nodded.
"Did Damian tell Jon that?" asked Kagami.
"He brought it up. He said that if anything, between Lila turning people against her and Me being stupid last year, he was the one seducing her." Adrien explained.
"What?" they shouted.
'What?'
"Yeah. He said she would cry in the Slytherin house after all the idiots in my house picked on her. He called her a Garden Snake." Adrien stated.
"Garden snakes are harmless Slytherins. We know they don't cause trouble. They're just…there." Kagami explained, "Lila-"
"Is a Basilisk. He mentioned that too." he spoke.
"Basilisks got a new meaning after Voldemort's time. Before it was bestowed upon people like the Malfoys, or someone like me or Kagami. You wanted to be a Basilisk." Chloe explained, "Now, it just means someone on a warpath and someone to avoid."
"Lila." he answered.
"Exactly. She's basically on Voldemort's and Umbridge's level of insanity." Kagami declared, "No one wants that."
'No! Their wrong! Marinette is a Basilisk! She shoved those people out of the way, She threatened them with her wand!'
"So, was he really seducing her?" questioned Chloe, changing the subject.
"He said all he had to do was be there for her with open arms when she got back and listen to her." Adrien shrugged.
"Damian Wayne isn't a Basilisk, but he was in his younger years." Kagami stated.
"What?" Adrien asked, "He's only a third year!"
"I heard from older Slytherins that they didn't even have to put the Sorting Hat on his head. He got maybe within a foot of it and was declared Slytherin." Chloe gossiped.
Adrien gulped.
"From what I heard, he grew up with his mother, who was also Slytherin. Her family was descended from some of Voldemort's people. Her family kicked her to the curb when she slept with a Gryffindor and had his child. When school started, she disappeared and he was left with his father." she continued.
"So, what did Felix say?" Kagami questioned, bringing everything full circle.
"He called me a Dumbass and basically said that if I ever wanted to be Mari's friend again, I needed to get on my hands and knees and beg for forgiveness." Adrien sighed, "He told me I needed to grow a spine if I wanted to defend her since I didn't do it before."
Chloe and Kagami began to laugh.
'Oh, Sunshine.'
"What?" he asked.
"Getting on your hand and knees to beg for forgiveness is a figure of speech." Chloe cackled.
"What?" he cried.
"It means to apologize properly." Kagami explained, smiling, "But it did work in your favor. She did forgive you."
"Damian hasn't." Chloe spoke, "But that's probably because Marinette liked you before him."
Kagami nodded, "He might hold a grudge. Not to mention you're dating his best friend."
'This is what I wanted!'
"So…how did that happen, Adrikins?" Chloe asked.
Adrien blushed, "Well, after Felix and I talked…..and I apologized, we started hanging out more. I mean, Jon has always been there for me to talk to in the house. He's always listened to me. He cared about my feelings and what I wanted. He doesn't pressure me to do or be anything. It's nice."
'So, he is with him.'
Alya quickly turned and ran as she felt the effects start to wear off.
'I need to show this to everyone.'
Alya quickly ran back to the Gryffindor house and showed the video to everyone in the house. From there, it quickly spread.
Marinette turned to Damian, "Is it true?"
"Can we speak privately?" he asked.
She nodded and they made their way up to his room.
"Was it true what Adrien said? Were you seducing me?" she asked again.
"No." he answered.
"But-" Mari began.
"I said that because I knew he was there. He saw us talking and hid, eavesdropping on the conversation. It was easy to tell he was there because his blonde hair stood out amongst the trees. I figured he would either see you for the amazing girl you are and man up, before you were taken, or he'd keep being an idiot. I didn't intend to fall for you. I was already your friend." Damian replied.
Marinette smiled and hugged him.
"You're the best thing to happen to me, Habibiti." he stated, before she kissed him.
Lila heard the whispers in the hall about how horrible she really was. That she wore a smiling mask, but was evil. She had managed to find some first years and ask for their help.
"What do you want, Basilisk?" a Gryffindor boy shouted, standing in front of his friends.
"I heard some nasty rumors being spread about me and I wanted to know where they were coming from." Lila spoke, softly.
The boy took the envelope from his friend and tossed it at her, "Don't bother us again, Basilisk Rossi!"
They group turned and fled.
Lila glared in the direction the first years fled and tapped her wand to the letter.
"Revelio."
Lila watched as someone snuck up Adrien and two Slytherins. She watched as he confessed to asking an older cousin for advice. She listened as he admitted to Damian Wayne seducing Marinette away from him. How simple it was to do with her turning people against the goody-two shoes. She heard her housemates reveal how she really was and that no one in her house trusted her. She saw the future she deserved crumble, all because Adrien couldn't keep his mouth shut.

DD2020: Trapped
Penguin found the French class at the Gotham Museum. He had heard that Damian Wayne's girlfriend was telling everyone in range that she knew Batman's identity and had donned a Robin costume to help.
"All I want is Damian Wayne's little girlfriend." he stated.
He quickly noticed the class shoving a girl to the back.
'Either she's weak or that's her!'
He nodded his head to his goons and they grabbed a girl with long brown hair and green eyes.
'Weak, but she'll do.'
"Damiboo will pay whatever ransom you want, just let my class go!" the girl cried out.
"Are you fuckin' stupid?" he asked.
"Huh?" Lila questioned, confused.
Oswald began to laugh, making the goons chuckle.
"Why the fuck would Damian Wayne pay for your ransom?" he laughed.
"Cause your holding his girlfriend hostage?" meekly answered Rose.
They all laughed harder.
"This was a bust. Let's clear out!" he shouted, chucking Lila at the class.
"What's so funny?" questioned Kim, pushing Lila behind him.
"That sausage hair bitch isn't Damian Wayne's girlfriend." he chuckled, "Everyone knows the Wayne's only go for people with certain looks. No one knows why but-" he was cut off by a kick to the face.
The class was shocked to see Ladybug outside of Paris and looked around to see his goons being tied up by Robin.
"Ladybug!" they cried in happiness.
Lila scowled
'Why is she even here? Why is she outside of Paris? How did she even find us?'
"What are you doing in Gotham?" Alya asked, super happy to see her.
"I was paying My Sweet Little Bird a visit." she smiled.
Robin walked over and scowled, "I'm taller then you, Bug."
Ladybug placed a kiss on his cheeks and smiled, "You are still mine."
The class was shocked to see so much affection coming from her, especially when she never showed the same to Chat Noir. Alya looked between the announced couple in confusion.
'What about Chat Noir?'
Adrien clutched the area above his heart.
'She had said-but-I thought-'
"Seems you have everything wrapped up. I need to head back to Paris, Love." Ladybug smiled before placing a kiss on his lips, "See you later."
Robin nodded as she left.
"GCPD has already arrived. Let's get you outside and get your statements taken." he announced, opening the front door.
"Hey, Chief!" the officer called, pulling Marinette and Damian towards the cars "I found these to getting busy in a closet."
"No, we weren't!" Marinette shouted.
The class looked at Marinette in shock.
"Marinette, really?"
"How could you?"
"We were in danger!"
Commission Gordon walked over to the scene and put his hand up to silence the class.
"What happened?" he asked them, "Mr.Wayne?"
The class looked at each other in confusion.
"I wanted to show my girlfriend something, without the class being pieces of shits!" Damian announced, "The whole class bullied my Angel so I figured I could do something special and get her a peek at the new exhibit that my father is going to present. Before we could get there, the alarms went off.
"Really?" Marinette turned to him and smiled, "I saw the closet and pulled us in there. Damian said he felt something on his back.
'Damian. As in, Damian Wayne?'
'But I thought Lila said they were dating?'
'He called Marinette his girlfriend!'
"I offered to turn on the lights, but he refused. He took off his shirt and asked me to feel if something was on him. He was putting it back on when Officer Horny decided we were 'getting busy'." Marinette continued, glaring at the officer in question.
"Well, let's just check your bag then." the officer stated, holding it up.
Damian knew he had to act fast. His Robin costume was in there.
"You want to know why I didn't want her to see?" Damian shouted.
He removed his shirt and threw it on the ground. He heard Marinette gasp and turned to show Gordan and his officer, in question. They saw his back littered with scars: small and large, some that obviously been cut deep.
Damian grabbed his bag from the officer's slacked hand.
"Courtesy of my deranged mother before she handed me off to Father, for being a bother." he snarled, putting his shirt back on.
The officer quickly fled. Gordon could see the horror etched onto Damian's girlfriend's face. It was obviously something she had never seen.
"Dami?" she called out.
Damian turned to her and sighed.
"I-Is it okay to touch you?" she asked.
He nodded and she quickly hugged him.
"Mr. Wayne!" Commission Gordon announced, "Your son is over here!"
The class could see what the villain meant by the 'Wayne' look. All the Waynes had raven hair, fair skin, and blue eyes. Damian was the odd one out with olive skin and green eyes. A car quickly pulled up and a woman with short black hair and blue eyes stepped out.
"Are you two alright?" she asked.
Marinette nodded, keeping her hand in Damian's, "We're okay, Selina."
Selina pulled the two into her arms and kissed their heads. She turned around and hugged Bruce, before he leaned down a kissed her lips.
The Wayne's certainly had a type, that's for sure, and Marinette fit the bill. The looked and saw she kept her hand in Damian's as they talked with his family and the officers.
The GCPD allowed the class to finally leave the scene.
"Marinette, let's go!" they shouted, heading towards the bus.
Mari shook her head, "You're crazy if you think I'm going back with you! If you had been with you all, you would have given me up in a heartbeat!"
"Marinette, stop being a bother and-" Caline began.
Bruce pushed Marinette behind him, protectively.
"Marinette has never been a bother to my family and she is more then welcome to stay at Wayne Manor." Bruce declared, before turning to Marinette, "Let's get your things and you can call Tom and Sabine on the way about the change."
"Yes, Bruce." Marinette smiled.
Caline quickly ushered the class to the bus.
"What about Marinette?" asked Rose.
"She'll be staying with the Waynes." Bustier stated, as she double checked everyone was on the bus.
"Why?" questioned Ivan.
"Mr. Wayne is hosting out class. He can send us home without finishing the trip. It's better to do as he says." Caline claimed.
"That's not fair!" shouted Chloe.
The class looked out the windows to see the Waynes hugging their class president.
"You're saying that Marinette could get us thrown off the trip?" questioned Alya.
"Marinette is the one who got us this trip in the first place." Bustier sighed.
"Hey, Lila, why did you claim to be dating Damian, if he was dating Mari?" Alix asked suddenly.
Everyone turned to her for an answer.
"It's not like that." Lila quickly stated, "We're really dating. He-"
"Don't lie! All the Waynes are coddling her and never gave you a second glance!" shouted Alix.
"Not to mention, you told us that you won this trip!" claimed Kim.
Bustier sighed, "Lila Rossi has a lying disease. She can't help herself."
"You knew about this?" cried Alya, "What else has she lied about?"
The class began to uproar, shouting out questions, demanding if things were true or false.
"Class, settle down." Bustier spoke.
"We were captured by a villain because of her!" shouted Ivan, while trying to comfort his crying girlfriend.
The class all turned their backs on her and gravitated away from her. Lila looked to Bustier for sympathy points, but after being trapped by a villain and being told off by Bruce, she couldn't care less about Lila's suffering. She had her job on the line.
"Let's get to the hotel and rest for tomorrow." Caline said, taking her seat at the front of the bus.
Lila turned to Adrien who shrugged and looked out the window. Lila turned to looks out her window and saw Marinette get into the car with the Waynes and leave. She recognized this level of coldness, this cage of loneliness. She had trapped herself in isolation once again. This time, there wasn't a get out for free card like when she was moving to Paris.

DD2020: Snowglobe
Lila, Alya, Nathaniel, Mylene and Ivan had gotten together for some winter wonderland fun. Lila had insisted that they go to the ice rink, only to find it was closed for a private booking. Lila had claimed she booked it in advanced just for them. They had decided to treat her once it was evident that her special plans had fallen through.
As they made their way through the park, they spotted Marinette with a strange boy, in the midst of a snowball fight. Not too far away from them, was a pink gift bag. Without a doubt, Alya knew the bag belonged to Marinette. She quickly took the bag and handed it off to Lila. They quickly walked away with the bag, laughing at what would soon be her confused face. At Lila's loud gasp, they turned around to see the guy who was with Marinette, holding a knife to Lila's throat.
"I believe you have something that doesn't belong to you." he growled.
The group froze. They had no idea this would be an outcome. They figured Marinette would cry over the missed gift. They weren't expecting a confrontation.
"Dami, you're too fast!" Mari exclaimed, catching up to the group.
"You hired a bodyguard?" shouted Nathaniel.
"No." she answered, "Damian's my boyfriend and he doesn't like things stolen from him."
"Your boyfriend?" asked Mylene, "What about Adrien?"
"I haven't had feelings for Adrien for a couple years!" Marinette exclaimed.
"Give me my bag." Damian demanded.
Ivan looked at the blade pressed to Lila's throat and handed it over without question. Damian took the bag and shoved Lila towards them.
"Stay away from my girlfriend." he stated.
Sabrina's father noticed the altercation and made his way too them.
"What's going on?" he asked.
"He held a knife to my throat!" Lila sobbed, clutching to Alya for dramatic effect.
The group claimed it was unprovoked.
"She stole from me." Damian said, "I was merely getting back what was rightfully mine."
"My boyfriend, Damian Wayne, will hear about this and you'll be charged for assault!" she cried.
Officer Raincomprix took out his handcuffs and made his way to Damian.
Damian held up his hand and pulled his wallet out, showing the officer his ID.
"I would like that girl arrested for theft and slander." he stated.
Without a word, the officer handcuffed Lila instead.
"You can't due this to me!" she shrieked.
"Yes, he can." Damian replied," I, Damian Wayne, will charge you for stealing from me and you can bet, I will sue you for using my name to you advantage." showing off his ID to her and her group.
Lila paled as she saw he was indeed Damian Wayne.
Damian picked up the pink bag and pulled out a snow globe, before handing it to Marinette.
"Oh, Dami!" Marinette gasped, "It's beautiful! Is this picture from our first date?"
"It is, Angel." he answered.
Marinette pulled him into a kiss.
"Happy Anniversary, Habibiti." Damian spoke.
"Happy Anniversary, Dami." Mari smiled.
The group felt conflicted between the newly revealed couple and Lila being shoved into the back of the police cruiser. They decided Lila was more important and left to reason with Sabrina's father.

DD2020: Royalty
Damian's eyes scanned the room. He was bored and had hoped to find at least one interesting person at the stupid ball he was forced to attend. And then she caught his eye: A girl w/ raven hair and bluebell eyes. How they rolled as some suitor tried to speak with her.
'Seems I'm not the only one bored here.'
Damian made his way closer to the other side of the room, when he notice the suitor grab her arm and yank her into a hallway. He quickly followed.
"Come on, M'Lady, dance with me." the suitor pleaded.
"You disgust me." the girl declared, "There is no way I'm dancing with you!"
"Now see here-" he began.
"Excuse me, "Damian interrupted, "but I believe this lovely lady said no."
Damian finally got a good look at the suitor: a boy with green eyes and blonde hair.
"Miss, would you like an escort back to the room?" Damian asked, holding out his arm.
"That would by lovely!" the girl smiled, taking his arm.
Damian led her to the middle of the dance floor and lowered his arm.
"That's it?" she questioned.
"Yes. Is there something you wanted?" Damian asked.
Marinette was about to tell him to leave when she noticed Adrien making his way towards them.
"Dance with me, please." Marinette pleaded.
Damian could tell by her eyes that she needed help, nothing more. He took up her hand and placed the other on her waist, leading them into the next dance.
"So, what happened? Ex lover?" he asked, prying information about the suitor chasing her.
"No; he's an old friend." She spoke.
"He seems interested." Damian declared.
"He does, but for all the wrong reasons." Marinette frowned, "Especially since he married my cousin last year."
"What?" Damian growled out.
"I snuck out one day and found him unconscious. He was in and out of it all day. I heard horses so I ran. Apparently, he woke up and saw what I wore. Last year, my cousin visited me and I lent her some of my clothes. She wore a red dress. He danced with her all night and in the morning, asked for her hand." Mari sighed, "Last month was when everything went wrong. She wrote to me, furious, that I had snared her in a trap of lies. She came to visit a week later, claiming that I was trying to steal her husband away. I had no idea what she was talking about. She informed me that when she packed up the red dress I had lent her, her husband questioned why she would pack it. It was then she revealed that the dress was originally mine and she had borrowed it from me. He became furious with her, claiming she had robbed him of his true love."
"All this because of a stupid dress?" Damian asked.
"Yeah." Mari sighed.
"Let's hope that he doesn't continue to act brainless when the crown princess arrives." he spoke.
"What are you here for?" she asked, blushing.
"Father has declared that I am to find a bride." Damian scowled.
"Are you not ready to be wed?" she questioned.
"I am, but I didn't want to be forced into marriage." he declared.
"Waiting sounds nice." She smiled, sadly.
"Are you here for a husband?" He questioned.
"Unfortunately. I'd rather wait as well. My parents have gotten rather insistent, especially after the matter with my cousin. They hope that seeing me claimed by another, will get him away from me." Mariette sighed.
Damian watched as the married man scowled in the corner. A woman, with similar looks, stood by him. He didn't seem pleased. Damian smirked and pulled her closer. The girl looked up at him and blushes.
"He's watching us and I'm assuming your cousin is here, as well." he stated.
"She is." Mari declared.
"Maybe we can play this off a bit for her, as well. Show her your not interested?" Damian suggested.
Marinette smiled, "How about a walk in the gardens?"
Damian smiled and bowed to her. Marinette curtsied. Adrien saw their dance had finally stopped and pushed himself away from Kagami, only to see Marinette take the man's arm again.
As they passed the curtains, Marinette whispered to the guards, "Let no one pass."
With a nod, they shut the curtains behind the couple.
"Someone you know?" Damian asked.
"Yes. He'll stop him from entering. We can relax a bit." Marinette spoke as she took a seat by the pond, "If I could, I'd watch the stars all night."
Damian turned to see the stars reflected in her eyes. She looked ethereal, like she was made of moonlight. Her skin as pale as the moon and her hair as dark as the night sky. Damian quickly looked away.
"What would you rather do then be here?" she suddenly asked.
"I read or fence. I've been studying martial arts." Damian spoke.
"Really?" Mari questioned, "Could you teach me?"
"Excuse me?" Damian responded.
"In case that guy comes back. He's family; I can be rude to family." Marinette pleaded.
"I don't see why not." he chuckled, "Although, I'm visiting for a short while."
Marinette frowned, but noticed him shaking his head.
"What?" Mari asked.
"Usually the visiting people stay at a person's home, correct?" he asked.
"Yes." she said, still not seeing where this was going.
"If I were to pretend to 'court' you, I could stay here and teach you." Damian suggested, " We'd get both of our families off our backs, at least for a while, but I doubt-"
"I'll do it!" Marinette cried.
"You will?" he asked.
"He'll leave. I'll be able to protect myself and we won't have to go to these stupid balls!" she announced, happily, "I can have a real friend!"
Damian smiled, "I'd like that as well."
In the morning, he announced his decision to court her and she accepted. It was only then that they realized they had never revealed their names when it was declared that the Crown Prince, Damian Wayne, of Gotham would court the Crown Princess, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, of Paris. Both of their families rejoiced as they leant in and whispered, 'Crown?'
Damian declared that he would stay in Paris to get to know Marinette better before they settled on a date. The two were often found reading or drawing together. Sometimes taking walks in the gardens. The people in the castle cooed over how close the couple appeared to be. What they didn't know was that Damian would sneak into her room at night and teach her martial arts.
Over the course of their 'courting', their friendship had bloomed, unaware the other felt the same. Marinette sighed. She knew that Damian would leave eventually, once the called they whole courtship off.
"Damian, would you mind taking a stroll with me in the gardens?" she asked.
Damian followed her lead. She took them back to the pond they had sat by that night of the ball.
"Damian," she began, "do you still mean what you said that night of the ball?" as she looked down into the pond.
"About what?" He asked.
"That you wish to wait for marriage?" Marinette questioned, keeping her eyes fixated on the water.
"No." Damian spoke, "I think I already have a bride next to me, if she'll have me?"
Marinette turned to him in surprise and nodded, happily.
"If you'll have me." She smiled.
At dinner, they announced their talk of marriage.
Adrien was upset.
'How dare she marry that guy! She was mine first; she should have be mine from the start!'
He turned to see her cousin next to him, sleeping peacefully.
'I have to convince her that this was all a mistake. She belongs with me.'
Thoroughly convinced, he slipped out of his bed and made his way to Marinette's room. Adrien smiled as he found her sleeping. He lifted the blanket to lay in bed with her when he felt a pain in his gut. He looked to see Marinette awake and glaring at him. She kicked him in the stomach and jumped out of bed. While he was disoriented, she grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder.
Marinette regained her breath before she let out a scream. It only took a moment for the guards to rush to her room.
"Get him out of my room and see that he is thrown out in the morning!" Mari shouted.
Kagami watched as her husband was dragged from her cousin's room. She saw Damian rush over to her cousin's side and lead her back into her room. Kagami walked back to her room and shut the door.
Tom passed by Adrien's unconscious body and hurried to his daughter's room. He found her already curled up in Damian's arm. Damian was rubbing her back, trying to comfort her. He had seen how close they had gotten over his time there so he decided.
"Damian." Tom spoke, "I'd like for you to take Marinette to your room, tonight."
"Your majesty?" Damian questioned.
"She will be safe with you and I trust you not to do anything unwise." Tom stated.
Damian nodded and carried Mariette to his room. As she laid next to him, she pulled the covers up to her nose.
"I guess I have to get use to this at some point." she whispered.
Damian pulled her against him and whispered back, "He won't get you. I'll kill him before he does."
"Thank you for teaching me. I was ready." she smiled, as she closed her eyes.
Damian and Marinette were married next month. He had decided to stay in Paris, as his father still had his older brothers to care for the kingdom. Kagami went alone to the wedding and saw how happy her cousin appeared. She apologized for Adrien's insistence. Marinette had apologized as well, stating that she had no idea that Adrien had been lured in by the dress or she would have given her a different one, all those years ago.
Three months later, Kagami smiled as she read over the new letter she had received.
"Good news?" Adrien questioned, taking a seat at the table.
"Yes." his wife answered.
Adrien nodded his head and took a bite of food.
"My dearest cousin, Marinette, is pregnant!" she smiled.
Adrien choked on his food and downed some water quickly.
"What?" he asked.
"Marinette has given Damian an heir. She's always loved children; I'm sure she'll make a wonderful mother." Kagami explained.
Adrien fell silent and began to eat his food in smaller bites. Kagami placed the letter on the table and decided that congratulations were in order. When she left the room, Adrien quickly picked up the notice and read that Marinette was indeed pregnant. He sighed and pushed his dinner away, left to reminisce about his childhood friend and the laughs they had as children. The laughs that had been solely for him and his idiotic sway over his savior in a red dress; the dress that had become his undoing.

DD2020:Freedom
When Damian transferred into their class, Lila had immediately tried her tricks on him. She fluttered her lashes, told him about her great adventures, and warned him to watch out for the class bully, Marinette.
Immediately, he turned the tables on her. Damian Wayne called into question her upbringing, asking how she was brought up with no manners. It was obvious that her entire state of mind was that of a toddler, demanding attention and crying wolf to someone he knew nothing about. He declared her 'great achievements' to be false and laughable at best. He told her that if she ever laid her hand on him again, he wasn't against being suspended or being expelled for injuring her.
Lila stayed clear of him after that.
Adrien had overheard the whole confrontation and decided to get down to the bottom of it. He asked that Damian take the high road, going as far as to blame Marinette for his knowledge of Lila's lies.
"I'm not as stupid as the rest of the class." Damian scowled, "I am surrounded by people trying to fall into my good graces by pretending to someone they're not. I can smell a con-artist a mile away."
"Lila's not a con-artist!" Adrien cried out, "She's trying to make friends and-"
"Are you that delusional? She is lying to your classmates and manipulating them to turn against this girl!" Damian shouted.
Marinette wilted under his tone. She knew it would be no use. She had tried several times for Adrien to see reason, but he believed he was doing the right thing. That Marinette being the bigger person, was the best course of action until everything was revealed.
"That's not what's going on!" the young Agreste replied, "Everyone will figure out what is going on eventually! They'll forgive her and we can all be better friends."
Damian sighed, "I shall remain silent…for now." as he grabbed Marinette's arm and pulled her away from Adrien.
Once they were a good distance away, he sat her down.
"Don't tell me you believe in his bullshit?" he questioned.
"No." she answered, "I went along with it at first, but-"
"Why?" Damian asked, "Why would you go along with his idiotic idea?"
Marinette sighed, "I liked him. I wanted him to like me. Now, it's just so I can have a single friend in the class."
"Well, you can forget that!" he demanded, "I'll be your friend and we'll expose that stupid bitch together! I have a plan."
Marinette was so overjoyed to have someone committed to her side, she launched herself at him and pulled him into a hug. Feeling him tense up, she quickly pulled away.
"Sorry!" Marinette backpedaled, "I got a bit excited. What are we going to do?"
Adrien was glad to see that Damian wasn't actively exposing Lila. Lila seemed to be keeping distance from Damian, like he wanted, and he wasn't calling out her claims. It seemed his advice worked. The only thing that bothered him, was that Damian stuck to Marinette's side like glue. They were constantly together, whether in the classroom or after school. They were together so often that the rest of the class were convinced that they were dating. What Adrien hadn't expected, was what came next.
Almost three months later, Ms. Bustier told the class she would be on a leave of absence and that they would have a substitute for awhile. When they asked if she was okay, she only replied that she had personal matters to attend to and she wasn't sure how long it would take.
Very suddenly, everything changed. Principal Damocles was replaced by a former principal on the school board. Rules they had no idea existed, were enforced. He wasn't allowed to be pulled from school any longer and Lila was noticeably absent. It was only through the news that they learned that Lila was being sued for defamation, slander, intimidation, coercion, and truancy.
The class had run to her defense. They wanted to see who had threatened their friend's life with ridiculous claims. They were shocked to see it had been two of their classmates. They tried to stand up for her against Marinette and Damian, but he had all the proof they needed to see. He had gathered voice recordings of her claiming to know celebrities, video calls to celebrities themselves asking about the claims, clips from Alya's blog of her sharing her great expertise and knowledge, photos, and several video footages of Lila bulling Marinette into submission.
Marinette sobbed in Damian's arm. It was finally over; Lila's reign of terror. All her lies had been revealed in a court of law and she had to pay for everything she had done since moving to Paris. The class watched from afar as Marinette broke down in the new kid's arms. It was evident that they had lost her trust and friendship.
Adrien slinked away from the class to get a closer view to Marinette and Damian, to hear what they were saying. He knew his sweet friend and she had to be feeling bad about Lila's sentencing. Lila was sentenced to six years in a mental facility and was forced to redo her studies from the seventh grade.
"Are you okay?" Damian asked.
Marinette nodded
"You don't have to cry for her." Damian spoke, wiping her tears.
"I'm crying cause it's over." Marinette sobbed, "I just-I don't know what to do. I can't trust them after what they did for her."
"You don't have to." the young Wayne stated, wiping her tears away.
Marinette placed her hands on his cheeks and leaned forward, placing a kiss on his lips.
"Thank you for everything, Damian." Mari replied.
"Let me be the wind under your wings, Angel. You have a newfound freedom." Damian spoke, "I'll make sure you get your dream."
Marinette smiled. She knew Damian was different when she met him. He wasn't like the rest of the class. He wasn't like Adrien, telling her to take the high road. He wasn't like Bustier who forced her to be better because she was class president.
"How about we celebrate with some ice cream at Andre's?" he asked, holding out his hand.
"I'd like that." Mari answered, as the left the courthouse.
Adrien frowned. This wasn't what he wanted. He wanted his friends to be happy, but it seemed Marinette was now happy without them.

DD2020: Ice
Adrien groaned as he came to terms with his growing feelings for his friend, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. He didn't know what to do with that knowledge or feelings for her. He definitely didn't want to lose their friendship so he called up his best friend, Nino.
Nino smiled and listened as his friend confessed his feelings about their mutual friend.
"I don't know what to do, Nino." Adrien complained.
Nino was silent and kept looking at his phone. He knew this was a big deal and something his girlfriend had almost given up hope on.
"I think I have an idea." Nino replied, "I gotta make a call first."
After quickly explaining to Alya about Adrien's mutual affections for their bubbly pink friend, she gave her boyfriend permission to tell Adrien about Marinette's feelings for him.
"Okay." he spoke as Adrien answered, "I have to let you know that Mari likes you, too."
"Are you sure?" Adrien questioned, "She hasn't really been talking to me, over the last couple years. It feels like we've grown apart. I've asked her to hang out, but she always says she's busy."
"Alya made me keep it a secret for so long." Nino replied, "It might be because you keep calling her a 'very good friend'?"
Adrien groaned into the phone.
"Alya says that once you confess, things will go back to how they use to be." Nino replied.
"I'm gonna look for a gift so she can see I don't want her as just a friend, Nino." Adrien spoke up.
"Good luck, My Dude!" Nino smiled, as he hung up.
Adrien set his backpack down on his seat as their teacher left to deal with an emergency. He pulled out a crystal pink rose and took a deep breath. The class became silent as they watched him walk up to Marinette's desk.
"Marinette?" Adrien called.
"Yeah?" she questioned, not looking up from her sketchbook.
"I wanted to give you this." he said.
Marinette looked up to see Adrien holding out the rose.
"Why are you giving this to me?" Mari asked, "It's not my birthday or anything." as she went back to her design.
The class was stunned. They hadn't expected her to brush him off.
"Um." Adrien cleared his throat.
The class turned towards the door when the heard knocking. There was a guy with tan skin, gelled back black hair, and piercing green eyes holding a bouquet of red and white roses.
"Damian!" Marinette shouted, regaining their attention.
She pushed past Adrien, who almost dropped his rose, as she kissed the guy in the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" Mari questioned, "I thought you weren't gonna be here until next week!"
"I wanted to surprise you and spend more time with you." Damian stated.
The bell rung, making them jump.
"Let me get my things!" she cried, grabbing it and going back to his side, "What did you want to do today?"
"I was thinking...cuddling in your room, some hot apple cider and a movie marathon." the guy suggested.
"Sounds wonderful!" Mari smiled.
"I'm glad you liked my surprise, Angel." Damian spoke, kissing her again, before they left.
The class was shocked, but none more then Adrien Agreste. He grabbed his bag and ran out of the class.
"Adrien, wait!" shouted Nino.
Alya stormed her way over to the bakery. She was going to get to the bottom of this. As she tried to head upstairs, Sabine stopped her.
"I need to speak to Marinette." Alya declared.
"Marinette said not to let anyone up. She has company over and asked not to be disturbed." Sabine stated.
"But-" Alya continued.
"The answer is No, Alya." Sabine shouted, "If you don't leave, I'll call Mr. Raincomprix for trespassing!"
Alya backed away, shocked, leaving the bakery in silence.
"Anything?" Nino asked, typing on his phone.
"Her mom wouldn't even let me see her! Mari said she didn't want to be disturbed." Alya replied.
They sighed. Adrien wasn't answering Nino's texts and Mari wasn't answering her phone. After the twentieth call, a man picked up the phone.
"I'm trying to sleep. What the fuck do you want!" he shouted.
"I want to talk to Marinette! I need-" Alya began her rant.
"Look little kid, I don't know who this Mari-Nay is. I got this number four months ago." the man declared before hanging up.
Alya look down at her phone before going on her social medias. She wasn't following Marinette on anything and Marinette had unfollowed her, as well. In fact, she couldn't see any of Marinette's social medias as they were now set to private.
'When did I unfollow her? Oh, right, during the Lila fiasco. Have I really not talked to her since then? What kind of friend am I? Can I even call myself her friend? No wonder her mom threw me out.'
Alya tried to think of when everything changed between them, but the answer remained the same: Lila Rossi. After she was exposed as a liar, she never apologized to Marinette. She tried to think about when they last hang out, but Marinette kept her distance from all of them. She no longer offered to help out anymore. She no longer brought snacks to class. She had iced them out of her life and she had never noticed, til now. Alya sent a quick text to Adrien about what she had come to grips with and apologized for pushing him to confess.
"Nino, stop." She spoke, sadly, "Adrien will talk to us when he's ready."
Adrien, I'm sorry for pushing you to confess. Honestly, Marinette did like you, a lot. I don't know anything about the guy who showed up today. In fact, I don't know anything about her anymore. Her number was changed four months ago and her social media is set to private. How can I call her a friend if we never spoke after what happened with Lila. I unfriended her on so many things and it looks like she did the same. Nino is really worried and I think he think this is all his fault. I'll tell him to just wait til you reach out. Sorry.-A
Adrien read the text and began to click on his apps. Sure enough, Marinette had unfollowed and unfriended him as well. His only hope was seeing they had a mutual friend: Chloe.
He clicked on her number and waited for her to answer. He hadn't spoken to her in awhile. She had switched school around the same time Lila left.
"Chloe, I have a favor to ask of you." Adrien said, as soon as the phone picked up.
"What is it?" She questioned.
"Can you show me Marinette's social media?" he asked.
"So, the class finally figure it out." Chloe sighed.
"Huh?" Adrien questioned.
'Figured what out?'
"Where are you?" Chloe asked.
"Home." Adrien answered.
"I'll be right there." she declared, hanging up.
It didn't take long for Chloe to arrive. He was a bit shocked by her new appearance. Gone were her mother's glasses, her hair was out of her signature pigtail and she was wearing more colors. He was about to say something, but she tapped on her phone and tossed her phone onto his lap. He picked it up and the first picture he saw was Marinette in a red tank top, cuddled up with Damian, titled 'Surprise visit from Boyfriend'.
'Boyfriend!'
He continued to scroll thru her Instagram posts. Post after post of Marinette and her boyfriend, some commission pieces here and there. The farther he went back, he noticed less smiles, less posts, until he got to some posts about Mari with all the girls for Valentine's Day and the day the went to the zoo for an hour, a couple years ago.
"Do you get it yet?" Chloe questioned, spinning in his chair.
"What?" Adrien asked.
Chloe huffed and saw the picture he was looking at.
"Those were some of the last pictures before Lying Lila Rossi turned everyone against her." Chloe stated, pointing at the posts, "Then she never posted for months, except for some pictures of her with family. That's when she started unfollowing, unfriending, and blocking people on social media."
Chloe scrolled up to the first picture of her and Damian.
"That's the day the met. They weren't close and Mari kept trying to avoid him after that. It was enough for them to hang out in comfortable silence. Then they started dating; they have been for two years." she continued.
'Two years?'
"She never told you guys. She knew none of you would believe her. She already iced you out so why bother." Chloe stated.
"Iced us out?" Adrien asked, confused.
Chloe sighed, "Does she talk with any of you? Does she hang out? Does she act anything like the Marinette before Lila arrived?"
Adrien frowned and answered, "No."
"You're not worth it to her anymore, Mr. High Road." Chloe glared.
"What?" he questioned.
Chloe scrolled down to the picture of them at the zoo and clicked on it.
"Marinette liked you, but she also knew that you were seeing Kagami, off and on. She stepped out of the way so you two could be together. Hell, Gami knew that Mari had feelings for you! She got over you and moved on, Adrikins!" Chloe cried, noticing the crystal pink rose, "You don't' know her well enough if you think something shiny will get her attention. She's not me or Lila."
Chloe's phone dinged and they noticed Marinette had liked something she had been tagged in. Chloe clicked on it and they saw a new picture: She was kissing Damian, her hands on his cheeks, and a ring on her finger.
"Bastard finally did it." She chuckled.
She took the phone out of Adrien's hands and replied 'ABOUT TIME! CONGRATS! Btw, ring is fabu!!!'
"See ya, Adrikins. Gotta call Maid of Honor before Gami finds out!" Chloe called out, as she walked out of his room.
Adrien frowned as he looked at the sparkling rose on his desk. Marinette obviously didn't need anything special if her boyfriend proposed with movies and cuddles. She obviously loved him enough to say 'yes'. She had iced them out and he had melted her heart that they had frozen.

DD2020: Cats
Ladybug hid behind another building as she looked out for her partner. KittyLover was turning the citizens of Paris into cats. She was upset that some of cat at the shelter weren't adopted. Ladybug ran out from the behind the building only to get hit by the beam. Tikki grabbed the earrings and whizzed off to the side. Marinette the cat looked around and mewed. She saw the akuma coming towards her. She knew she had to get out of there and fast. She quickly turned tail and ran towards the school.
Marinette hissed as she saw Lila coo at her, with her classmates.
"I'm a huge animal lover, especially for cats!" Lila grinned, beckoning the cat to her.
Marinette hissed and backed away, slowly. Lila glared at the feline.
"Here, kitty-kitty." she smiled, reaching her hand towards Marinette's face.
Marinette immediately swiped her claws at her and ran into the school.
"Poor thing must be traumatized." Lila frowned as she looked at her perfectly marred skin.
'How dare that creature maul me!'
Marinette found her class and jumped into his lap. She immediately started purring.
"No." Damian declared, "My cat will not enjoy your scent on me." as he took the cat off of him.
"Mew!" she cried before jumping back on him and purring.
"Do you have cat nip on you?" asked Juleka.
"No." he groaned as he set the stray cat down again.
Damian stood up and left the room. Marinette quickly followed after him. Damian sighed as he took notice of the feline shadowing him. Once alone, Tikki popped out.
"Habibiti?" He questioned, looking at the cat.
Overjoyed that he had figured it out, she purred as she rubbed herself against his legs.
Damian placed his bag on the floor and picked up Marinette. Marinette just slow blinked at him, happy that he noticed. He pulled out his phone and quickly took a picture of them. Marinette hissed and tried to swat the phone away, making him chuckle.
"You a very cute kitten, Angel." Damian spoke, scratching under the chin, "Guard my things. I'll be back soon."
Tikki handed him over the earrings and patted Marinette's head as she curled up in his bag, ready to strike.
"Tikki, Spots On!"
"Where's Ladybug?" asked Chat Noir.
"She's a kitten, right now." Shaytan declared.
"And I missed it!" Chat Noir shouted.
"I took a picture." Shaytan smirked.
"Yes!" Chat Noir cried, "Let's hurry up and defeat this akuma!"
Lila cleared her throat again as she looked through the halls for Adrien. She needed to sway him back to her side. To her surprise, Damian Wayne's bag was left in the hall next to some lockers.
'Maybe I can dig up some dirt and get him to dump his girlfriend. She'd be so miserable!'
Lila crouched down and lifted the flap of his bookbag, only to get scratched by the same cat as earlier, on her face. Lila let out a scream of pain and surprise. She was too busy looking for a tissue, that she never noticed Marinette the cat pull the bookbag away with her teeth.
Lila was quickly surrounded by her classmates.
"Let's get her to the nurse!" Mylene cried.
"It's just a scratch." Lila explained.
"We should at least get it disinfected and get some ointment on it." Nathaniel stated, "You could get a scar and Adrien's dad is really strict."
Lila paled and nodded, allowing Ivan, Nathaniel and Mylene to guide her to the nurse's office.
"It looks like you picked a fight with a cat." the nurse announced as Lila took a seat.
The nurse quickly noticed the other scratch on her arm. There was red spots around the wound and a bit of swelling. She quickly had Lila open her mouth and saw swelling as well. Immediately, the nurse called for an ambulance to come to the school.
Lila shook her head.
"I need you to lay down. You're having an allergic reaction to cats." the nurse stated.
"Lila can't be allergic!" Nathaniel shouted.
"Yeah, she saved Jagged Stone's kitten!" claimed Mylene.
"Be that as it may, she is still having an allergic reaction! She has hives and could very well go into anaphylactic shock. I don't have a personal epi-pen for her so I can't do anything to help slow the process. Her tongue is already swelling!" the nurse exclaimed.
The trio looked as Lila attempted to take some deep breaths.
"I've already called your mother." the nurse stated, causing Lila to shake her head, "If you attempt to speak, you could bite your tongue and rupture it! You could choke on your blood and die!"
Lila laid still after that.
Marinette exited the school with Damian's and saw an ambulance out front.
"What's going on?" Marinette questioned, seeing her classmates out front.
'Did the cure not work on someone?'
"Lila got scratched by a cat and had an allergic reaction." Mylene answered.
"Poor Lila." replied Rose.
"Hey, Mari, why do you have Damian's bag?" Nino asked.
"Oh, well-" she began.
"Habibiti! There you are!" Damian cried, running over.
"Hey, Dami." she smiled, kissing him, "Hey, Adrien.", noticing his presence.
'Since when were they a thing?'
"Did you enjoy your 'Bro Lunch'?" Mari asked.
"Yes!" shouted Adrien.
"Oh, here's your bag. No one got into it." Marinette said, handing Damian his bag.
"Still missed you, Angel." Damian spoke, kissing her cheek.
"Get a room." Adrien whined.
"Maybe I will, Agreste." Damian smirked, pulling Marinette close to his side.
Adrien made a face, making his friend giggle.
"Hey, what's with the ambulance?" Adrien questioned.
"Oh, apparently, Lila is allergic to cats and one scratched her. At least, that's what the class told me" Marinette shrugged.
Adrien nodded and headed to get more answers from Nino. Sure enough, he got the same answer.
"But what about Jagged Stone's kitten?" Adrien pried, poking another whole into her story.
"The people who took her to the nurse spoke to the nurse and she said that it would have been impossible to hold a cat since she had such a strong reaction." Nino answered.
Nino immediately noticed Adrien was trying to figure something out.
"What is it?" he asked, pulling his bud close.
"If Lila had that bad of a reaction and the nurse said it was impossible for her to touch a kitten, does that mean she was lying to us?" Adrien whispered back.
He felt Nino tense up next to him and walked away quickly to Ivan's side.
Alya glanced over her shoulder to see Marinette speak to Damian. Adrien walked back over and sure enough, Marinette wasn't fumbling around with her words around either of them. She couldn't help but wonder how much time had passed since the last spoke.
Alya turned around when she heard Marinette shriek, "You told him!"
"He also said he had a picture." Adrien smirked.
"Don't you dare!" Mari cried, trying to get Damian's phone, "Dami! Delete that pic now!"
"Come on, Mari! I bet you're cute!" Adrien laughed.
Marinette jumped, but Adrien was able to grab it from Damian. The young Wayne quickly pulled Marinette into his arms and turned her face close to his so that their noses touched.
"Hi." Damian whispered.
"Mew." Marinette squeaked out and blushed once she realized what sound left her lips.
"Perhaps I should call you Kitten instead." Damian spoke.
Adrien handed over the phone, saying, "Now you have a before and after shot." making them laugh.
Alya couldn't stand their laughter anymore, stomped over, and shouted, "Aren't you worried about, Lila?"
"No. I'm sure it's not a big deal." Mari replied.
"Not a big deal?" Alya shouted, "She passed out and left in an ambulance!"
"But it must have been something else since she saved Jagged Stone's kitten, right?" Mari announced, "She would know better to touch something she's allergic to."
"Like I stay away from birds." Adrien smiled.
"Explains why we didn't get along, at first." Damian quipped.
Alya floundered, trying to come up with a response. Of course, Lila wouldn't do something so stupid, but she saw Lila and saw the scratches.
'Was Lila lying to them?'
Right before school was let out, the teacher gave them some news: Lila Rossi was hospitalized due to her allergy. She thanked the students who had gotten her quickly to the nurse's office.
Alya felt something was off and she had that feeling ever since Lila was loaded into the ambulance. She turned to see Marinette, Damian, and Adrien all sharing a knowing look.
'What about Jagged Stone's cat?' she recalled Adrien asking.
She pulled out her phone and typed in: Jagged Stone and Lila Rossi. All she got were page after page of Jagged Stone. Jagged Stone and his kitten. Nothing, but the same articles as before and the only picture of him with a cat was of him and Chat Noir. She tried Lila and airplane runway. Lila Rossi saves kitten. Nothing.
Only getting more and more frustrated, she typed 'Lila Rossi' in the search bar. Two hits came up: her Ladyblog and Aurore's BattleBug Blog or BBB for short. Alya slipped her Bluetooth pod into her ear. She clicked on the video and saw Aurore interviewing Ladybug.
We have another fan question: Can you tell us more about your BFF, Lila Rossi.
I never knew Lila Rossi until the Ladyblog posted that interview of her claiming we were 'bffs'. I've asked Lila to stop saying she was. The Ladyblog keeps posting her lies so I stopped doing interviews for the Ladyblogger. If she can't check her facts, I don't see a reason to go to an amateur. I'd rather talk to a professional, who listens to me and what I have to say, rather then what fans believe is true and take their word over mine.
Alya disconnected her Bluetooth and put her phone back in her pocket.
It was obvious now. They knew; they knew that Lila was a liar. Marinette had tried to warn them. Damian hated her on site; it made sense once they realized that he was dating Mari, but Adrien? Wouldn't he have said something? Maybe he had and she had brushed him off like she had her best friend.
She decided she'd tell everyone afterschool.
Whatever hold Lila had over them would disappear, but at what cost?

DD2020: Anti-Hero
"I need your help!" Deadpool shouted, stopping Marinette in her tracks.
"No." she answered, before trying to continue on her way.
"Come on! Just this once!" He pleaded.
"No." Marinette answered.
Damian grabbed Marinette's hand only to be stopped once more.
"Dad, I said no!" Marinette shouted.
"Spoil sport." Deadpool sighed, "You get that from your mother."
"How is Mom?" Mari questioned.
"She's doing better." Wade replied.
Deadpool noticed his daughter was holding hands with a young man and couldn't help but realize he looked familiar.
"I've seen you somewhere before." He stated.
Damian tensed, recognizing him from his youth.
Deadpool clapped his hands and cried, "Talia's demonic spawn!"
Damian sighed and nodded.
"How's the family business?" Wade questioned.
"They're dead." Damian spoke.
"Oof." Wade quickly backed off, "Still keeping it up?"
"I live with my father who is against my mother's teachings." Damian stated.
"Well, if you get tired of your old man, let me know and we can let those frustrations out." Deadpool smiled, hoping to learn a thing or two about his daughter's boyfriend, "Or...if you know someone who-"
Damian put up a finger and took out his phone.
"What is it with teenagers and their phones? Are you tweeting about this?" Deadpool questioned.
"Todd, I have a possible ally for you." Damian stated, ignoring Wade.
"Who?" Jason asked.
"Mari's father." He answered.
"What does Tom want?" Jason sighed.
"Her biological father." Damian replied.
"On my way!" Jason cried before hanging up.
"Who was that?" Deadpool questioned.
"One of the children my father adopted." Damian spoke.
"I'm not taking kids on a-" Wade spoke but was cut off as Red Hood skidded to a halt in front of them.
"Get on, Bitch, we're going artillery shopping!" Red Hood shouted.
Wade looked at his daughter and then towards her boyfriend, before yelling "Weeeee!"
Deadpool jumped onto the back of Red Hood's bike and they drove off.
"Do you have any idea on what you have done?" Marinette sighed.
"Todd will be out of the house, Father will be distracted, and I get you all to myself." He smirked.
Mari leaned up and kisses her boyfriend, before saying, "I'm not helping you get out of trouble when your father finds out or when Jason gets uncomfortable."
Damian frowned, confused.
"Dad is Bi and will flirt with Jason the whole time. The whole innuendo enchilada." Marinette claimed.
Damian only chuckled.
"They do say you should never meet your heroes." he answered.
Mari giggled and let him lead her to the manor.
