Spencer Agnew - My Favorite Pizza Oven

Summary: Spencer and Y/N spend a weekend babysitting Courtney and Shayne's son.

AN: Welcome to the first of 9 weeks of ficlets! Come back every Thursday for a little fic of Reader x Smosh! Most are Spencer x Reader but there will be a couple Ian x Reader and Damien x Reader as well!

When Courtney came up to you and asked if you and Spencer could watch her and Shayne’s son for a couple nights so they could go on vacation you immediately said yes. 

“Shouldn’t you check if Spencer is on board?” She asked. 

“Trust me, he’ll be on board,” you replied. You and your boyfriend had watched Ryan for a night a few months ago. Spencer had been asking for weeks when you thought the two of you might be able to babysit again. 

“Thank you so much! I’ll text you with the details.”

“Perfect! I’m looking forward to it!” 

“That’s because he’s always a little angel for Auntie Y/N and Uncle Spencer,” she said. 

“Because we absolutely spoil him and say yes to pretty much whatever he wants,” you replied with a laugh. “It’s our right as aunt and uncle!” You add and she conceded, joining in on your laughter. 

Later that night, when you filled Spencer in on your conversation with Courtney he got super excited and started listing all the activities he was hoping to do throughout the weekend with Ryan.

You just listened and sighed, hoping Spencer would behave and you wouldn’t have to rein in two excitable children. 

A couple days before your babysitting duties were set to begin, you and Spencer made a trip to Target after work to stock up on a few things for your home. You’d split up, wanting to get done quickly since it was getting late.

You always worry a bit about sending Spencer out on his own, never knowing what he’ll return with, and your fears are often valid. This time was no exception.

When you met back up, he was carrying a basket with the items on his list, as well as a Play Doh pizza oven set. 

“Are you thinking of getting into crafting now?” you asked, skeptically eyeing the item.

“It’s for Ryan!” he replied. “Shayne said he’s really into play-doh lately so I thought he might enjoy it. And I figured coming in with a new toy might help him be excited for a weekend with us, rather than sad that his parents are leaving.”

“That’s a really good idea,” you replied. You gave Spencer a fond look, as you’re reminded once again how thoughtful this man is. Even after years together you continue to fall more in love with him. Even while standing in the middle of a Target on a Wednesday night.

Two days later you arrived at Shayne and Courtney’s home with your overnight bags, prepared for a weekend of babysitting. Courtney went over all the instructions again, and finally you sent the two on their way to enjoy some time alone. 

As predicted, Ryan was a bit upset seeing his mom and dad leave, but Spencer quickly stepped in and showed him the new toy. It worked like a charm, and the two boys made lots of creations together.

Even better was the moment when dinner arrived. After making plenty of pretend pizzas, Ryan was ecstatic to see they’d be eating real pizza for dinner too! 

The weekend went smoothly, and that plastic pizza oven went everywhere Ryan went. Including the playground. He was truly obsessed. 

“I love this pizza oven!” he exclaimed during breakfast Sunday morning. “It’s my favorite!”

You couldn’t help but laugh as he reminded you so much of his dad in that moment. You had come up with a plan, a perfect way for Ryan to greet his parents when they got back home. 

A couple hours later, when Courtney and Shayne walked in the front door, Ryan had run up to them, new toy in hand.

“Hey buddy! I missed you,” Shayne said, hugging his son tight. “What’s that you got there?”

“It’s from Auntie Y/N and Uncle Spencer! It’s my favorite pizza oven!” All the adults began to laugh, as Ryan practically quoted one of his father's most famous lines.

Later that night, when you and Spencer were back home having dinner, you couldn’t help but think back on the weekend, and how wonderful your boyfriend was with the little guy. Your mind imagined what your future will be like, when you and Spencer have a little one of your own. One look at him told you he was thinking the same thing, and you knew you’d picked a good one.

・You had been taking Barbie to see the new toys in your closest mall. She instantly went to the doll section, where there were many Barbies (that made her nostalgic) lining the aisles.

"Oh! They've come out with a new one! Oh we so have to show Mami this one-" Barbie said as she took a box from the shelf and showed it to you.

・The box said in big purple letters: 'Barbie as a wrestler!' And it had her alter identity - a purple wig with make-up you could add onto her, it also came with the championship belt along with other accessories.

・Both of you were excited out of your minds, and couldn't wait to send a photo to Rhea

・Rhea was currently in another state, probably in the gym. You both went to as many matches as possible, but sometimes Rhea had to travel just to film scenes

・And yes, you both call Rhea, 'Mami,' it's like a proper nickname. Any weirdness has been erased from it

・Barbie cries while watching nearly every movie - even lighthearted ones.

・When your relationship was first beginning to solidify, Barbie said that she wanted to experience the whole of being a human. (Even though you shook your head).

・To Rhea, that meant taking Barbie on every rollercoaster???

・To you, it meant a lot of sightseeing and listening to people's stories and histories.

・You three like to travel together; Rhea always has everyone's luggage under control, you have everyone's passports, and Barbie makes sure everyone has sunscreen on/has drunk water/gone to the toilet

・You honestly make a great team

・And although Barbie could be thought of as a stereotypical dumb blonde who is inexperienced and a lost puppy - it's far from the truth. She's a quick learner, very kind, open-minded and adores animals.

・It was actually Rhea who put a stop to Barbie's endless adoptions. Because she would save animals who were due to be put down because no one wanted them. But she got too emotional when they got hurt or had to go to the vet (she gets attached to things very easily).

・Dom is a tad jealous of the relationship you have with Rhea. But again, you and Barbie let him fawn all over her during the WWE episodes.

・He's a pretty cool guy though, and has invited you to a few of the WWE parties

・Finn is polite, but doesn't really talk to you guys much. Damien is different though, he's very inclusive and loves seeing you two with Rhea.

・He calls you and Barbie his "best girls!"

・So, all in all, Judgement Day approves of you - not like Rhea would care if they didn't (they would not go against her ... ever)

・Barbie is a nose booper

・Rhea was actually the first person to say "I love you"

・Barbie has bandaids on her ALWAYS

・You try and keep your relationship on the DL when in public - for many reasons actually. Rhea has fans, and you don't want to bring too much attention to the fact that Rhea and Dom aren't actually together. And you don't want attention from the public - Barbie definitely doesn't. The thought actually causes her to hyperventilate.

Your post about seeing Scream for the first time and delighting in its clear target audience of horror nerds (affectionate) makes me keen to know what sparked your love of scary movies! What were some of your early favorite horror films?

This may come as a surprise, but I didn't start watching a lot of horror movies until fairly recently! I didn't watch them at all growing up; my mom was a gradeschool teacher and never had time to watch movies and my dad is a history guy. And I was traumatized by seeing Saving Private Ryan (1998) in the theater and was convince I couldn't handle the gore. The only horror movie I remember watching a lot in highschool/early college is Richard Donner's The Omen (1976), with very mild bloodshed in comparison to 90s and early 2000s horror.

The first horror movie I saw that made me want to investigate the genre more was Robert Eggers' The Vvitch (2015). All of the folk horror movies I've seen have been since then, and it's become my favorite subgenre. Naturally, I was obsessed with Midsommar when it came out in 2019, and it is my current favorite horror movie, though Hereditary (2018, also by Ari Aster) and Ti West's trilogy (X, Pearl, and Maxxxine) are close behind it. I think we're in an excellent era for horror movies right now with all these directors and, of course Jordan Peele. And I've noticed that the gore doesn't bother me as much as it did. What really drove this home was watching Peele's Get Out (2016) with a friend who is not into horror and telling her the violence was mild. She had occasion to point out how wrong I was several times!

Violence and gore are deeply subjective. I had no problem whatsoever with this year's Abigail (Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett), which features buckets of blood, but I still haven't seen the cliff-jumping scene from Midsommar in full. The particular kind of gore I can't handle is far more often found in war films than horror, but I have no interest in films like those in Damien Leone's Terrifier franchise where the gore and violence are the main point. There are still things I don't want to see, but I'm generally good enough at avoiding them that they're no longer a deterrent to my seeing the movies I want to see. Nearly every movie I've seen in theaters in the past few years has been a horror one, and all the ones I'll see this year are.

Obviously, I'm way behind on late 20th C horror since I hadn't even seen Scream, but I'm at work on amending that now!

Happy Pride, anon! ☺️ Thank you for the ask! There are so many beautiful Hogwarts Legacy ships out there, some I've had the pleasure of seeing or reading about often, others I've seen in passing and would like to learn more about.

Sebinis is probably the one I've seen most and I do love very much. It's so easy to see it just from the context in the game and that context makes for a really good story with a lot of highs and lows. Beautiful moments, comfort, but also tragedy and hurt.

I've recently been seeing more Sirona Ryan x Mirabel Garlick and let me tell you, I would love to see more! It's such a beautiful thought that the two of them would support each other through their years at Hogwarts, Sirona's transition and ultimately find their forever in each other. ❤️ If it hasn't been written yet, somebody should!

And of course I love our MC ships. I love seeing and hearing about Wren and Imelda, Mara and Natty, Chris and Ominis, Charlie and Sebastian, Damien and Sebastian, Evelyn and Poppy and so many more. MC x MC ships are amazing too! I love being a part of them and seeing everyone else's as well! And you know Hellendil's ships have a special place in my heart too (Elvira, Sebastian and Will).

i’m curious, do you have any like super obscure td rarepairs you like?

i really like the idea of a rivals to lovers courtney x emma (rr) ship, logically i know their similarities would probably make it difficult to get along but idk i think it could work in a weird way. they’re both one of my favorite character archetypes (im a sucker for the type as) so i’d love to explore how they would interact. honestly i should write a fic for them

beth x sierra is another rarepair i like! they’re both seen as Weird Girls (derogatory) who get crushes easily and i think they could have a cute little thing going on.

i also like beth x katie (& sadie?), they all hung out during the aftermaths for tdwt, i could see it as a poly thing or as a similar dynamic to wayne & raj where katie is realizing she’s a lesbian and sadie is supporting her

this one actually has some basis in dramarama of all things, but harold x lightning. i thought it was really cute how tdr harold had a crush on lightning and i would love to play around with that dynamic within the main canon. ooo especially with the inclusion of transfem harold (bc lightning don’t judge!)

ella x sky! i think their ship name is ellsky? anyway they should’ve cut out the axis of the brief tdpi love triangle (dave) and just had ella think of sky as her knight and sky learning to relax a bit with ella

while i don’t really ship either of them with anyone, i do like the idea of zee x damien. i think zee’s chillness could help balance out damien when he’s a little more high strung, and damien could help ground zee. after all, zee was damien’s biggest supporter to help get himself voted off! i also headcanon damien as a trans guy and zee as nonbinary so t4t couple rights lol. ngl every time i see someone shipping zee with chase or ripper (or both!) i shed a silent tear. zee deserves better (im mostly joking)

Buster: Mario party (idk why it just seems his type of game) or board games, any games that require multiple people I guess

Ms Crawly: doesn’t play video games, but does play board games or party games, she’s actually pretty good

Rosita: she definitely plays Cooking Mama, or any games her children play, she has a family game night with her kids, and plays with them in their T.V or just plays party games

Gunter: probably plays Just Dance, or plays wii sports, he would definitely encourage others to join in aswell lol

Clay: ooo he probably plays chess or checkers, or even some card games, and for video games, he would play Guitar hero (because Ash introduced him and showed him the game) he would try to play his songs in the game, and complain “that the game is way harder than playing guitar” or “this is not how you play the song” lol

Now for the young ones

Ash: Guitar hero which is the most obvious, she had been playing it since she was 12, another game she played was Animal Crossing, she just loved how calm and comfy it was (she immediately got New Horizons when it came out and no one had seen her for days until the crew found her at her house farming for miles and bells) and finally she would’ve played Monster Prom in her teenage years, why? She was finding something to play, found it on steam, downloaded it and never looked back. That was probably how she got obsessed on shipping Ryan, Johnny and Zotz. (She was probably a Brian/Damien shipper, and a Scott/Oz shipper cuz why not)

Porsha: liked playing Animal crossing but that’s probably all, she mostly spends time in social media than playing video games but she does join in when the others play it

Meena: Meena would love playing any calm, relaxing and comfy game like Animal crossing, cooking mama, or those organizing games, or just comfy games in general

Nooshy: definitely plays Just Dance, or Mario Cart (she forces others to play it with her, but she usually wins) probably has played Splatoon, and loved the music, Also has played Undertale, had an Undertale phase, and even dressed up as sans for a bit by wearing a blue hoodie, she loved the soundtrack and has it in her playlist

Ryan: Just Dance (I guess every dancer is gonna have just dance) he would force Johnny and Zotz to dance with him as Zotz would do decent while Johnny would fail, due to Johnny only knowing how to breakdancing and simple moves. Ryan would also love playing Pokémon, since it was his childhood game, his first game was Pokémon X, and after that he loved the games and series, (his favorite Pokémon is Blaziken)

Johnny: He definitely has played Pokémon as well but not as long as Ryan. (His favorite Pokémon was Pangoro since it reminded him of his Dad and uncles) He would’ve also played Super Smash Bros Ultimate (he mains Wolf and Lucario) and finally, he would’ve played rhythm games like Beat Saber, or Project Sekai.

Zotz: Zotz would’ve played fantasy type games like, fire emblem, his favorite was Fire Emblem Fates Birthright, or Final Fantasy 7, He also liked playing Monster Hunter games like Monster Hunter 4 ultimate (hehe my first monster hunter game) But in all his favorite video game franchise would have to be. . . . . . . Drumroll plsssss, Kingdom Hearts :D, his favorite game would be Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days and his favorite character would be either Xion or Roxas. He would try to explain the plot of Kingdom Hearts to Ryan and Johnny, in which Ryan sorta got it but got confused at some parts, while Johnny couldn’t understand any of it and that whole time was confused

Well, better late than never, right? I had planned to post my favorite albums of 2022 about a week ago, a little before Christmas in fact, but the busyness of the holiday season kept me busy. So, I will be posting my top albums of the past year today, I will try to post my top EP's of 2022 tomorrow, and hopefully post my favorite songs of 2022 in the next few days as well.
