hello. I'm new to tumblr and i want to follow epic mickey or mickey mouse blogs in general, can you maybe recommend me a couple blogs?

Im glad I could spread the word on alexcanine and his behavior, I basically put myself into a rabbit hole doing this but, it’s so duckblr could be aware of his history and behavior. (Cause it was already known on DA and I thought why not let you guys know cause he was on here all the time) He definitely should leave the internet as a whole and if possible get tons of help for his problems. Cause really worshipping CP, and sharing kinks in public, harassment, And other things it’s a bit of a rabbit hole like I said. Also he does have a Twitter as well with the same name and is basically posting same stuff there (fat fetish retweets and drawings,etc) if your on Twitter/X just be aware he’s on there too. YouTube, And a Pinterest as well I found.

It needed to known here and I’m glad the community is taking action and distancing away from him. Also again don’t harass him but just keep your distance, block him and report him, and ignore him entirely. While yes he’s very likely autistic that doesn’t excuse his actions and hundred percent, he’s a bad and disgusting person and someone who likes to pretend to be a victim despite doing those things and old enough to understand that they are wrong and he shouldn’t do them online. i love @mickedy 's art a lot (and just her epic mickey opinions also generally), her mickey and oswald stuff is peak, but all her original and toon stuff is amazing honestly

@mickeysclubhouse has great general mickey content!! mostly the mickey preschool content, gifs, and collections of merch and stuff!

the @skullsemi archives are full of great mickey and friends art and stuff, and his au blog is sooo fun

@choxlbun has some fantastic gremlin stuff!

@astral-nebulae has some fantastic gremlin stuff! (oftentimes focused more on the roald dahl side of gremlins, than on the epic mickey side, which is rly cool)

@dalia1784-art (and their main blog) have some disney extended universe stuff like ducktales 2017, but she draws a lot of horace horsecollar and clarabelle, lots of love for the epic mickey and classic mickey style art!

@wasteland-unused is a good archive too, lots of good stuff there!

Hello, Welcome to Tumblr.

This site can be a bit confusing at first, but eventually, you get the hang of it.

One thing I do recommend however it to search for a topic you are interested in like: Mickey Mouse, Epic Mickey, Mickey and Friends, Mickey Mouse and Friends, Disney, etc. and then follow the tags (you should be able to do this on both mobile and computer). That way posts that have that tag will appear on your dash.

As for blogs to recommend that focus on either Epic Mickey or Mickey stuff in general. Honestly, there are so many great people and again I really recommend checking out the tags, as they also will show you cool people to follow. But to give some to start with:

@local-meme-lord posts a lot of great Mickey and Friend memes that tend to come from the comics, but also covers other media as well. (check out @memelordotherblog too)

@applestabs will post really nice scanlations for Mickey Mouse comics every once in a while.

@memekeymouse posts a lot about Mickey as well.

Some great artists who post great Mickey and Friends art include:

Some artists make great specifically for Epic Mickey art are: @mickedy, @toonycryptid, @waci-illstr, and @kevinarsenault

And this is really just the beginning. I wish I could put everyone but this post is already getting so long and my memory isn't that good. There are also a lot of cool people who post awesome Duck stuff and even cool Horace Horsecollar stuff (@dalia1784) and Phantom Blot stuff (@theinkphantom, @masterhallmark), so I would look into that as well.

But I hope you enjoy it here. I've been here for a while and everyone has been so amazing.

Just curious if you saw the Ducktales episode The Phantom and the Sorcereress and what did you think of this incarceration of The Phantom Blot?

Sorry for the delay, I wish tumblr didn’t eat my notifications every time I get an ask 😒😤...  Anyway.

Yes, I have indeed watched the episode as soon as it was available and, hmm, how to put it nicely... I found myself almost indifferent to the character. Like, he doesn’t spark joy chief 🙅‍♀️✨

Oh, a lil disclaimer before we go any further: this is just my personal opinion based on both what I’ve seen in the episode and on the Blot version I am used to and I know best (i.e. the Italian one), so y’all’ve been warned.

I mean, design wise I don’t mind the whole medieval executioner outfit, it’s a bit unusual for him but, considering I got a weakness for this type of clothing style, it’s a change that I gladly welcome. It also seems to confirm my initial theory that the Blot has been turned into some kind of timeless entity fueled by his undying revenge or that he has found a way to survive the passage of time through some dark science or through the sole desire/obsession for revenge and his consequent eventual revenge-before-reason themed defeat since come on, I can def see the writers aiming for this type of conclusion for him. Also I see what they’ve done with the color scheme but of all the things that they could’ve taken from Epic Mickey I wished they went for something more... interesting or at least less predictable I guess? Unless again, they’re saving a possible monstrous transformation for the future, I doubt it tbh but who knows .

As for his character, eh, I don't feel like saying I approve of him. Of course, the fault automatically falls on the fact that I grew up with a completely different version and if we want more complete from the American one and therefore my standard is at a very, very high level, and for this I don’t find this interpretation interesting, at least for now. Also I must say that I was hoping for something other than yet another villain based on revenge repeated over the years caused by the so called genocide backfire.

Sure, maybe his character arc will take an interesting turn as the saga progresses although I still find it inconceivable how a character of his caliber ended up being an undercover mascot for a restaurant chain and consequently I don’t have v much hope about it but again it’s still too early to be able to give a definitive judgment on this version as, in fact, we’ve had nothing but a taste of what this character represents.

And if on the one hand I’m happy that the fans of the American PB had something to celebrate, on the other hand for now I feel equally calm in saying that this is not my PB and therefore I don’t intend to participate in the hype/discourse that already is infesting the social networks where the DT fandom is most active. Obviously I will still keep an eye on how his character will evolve but for the moment I feel I can safely stay on the sidelines to take care of my personal Blot theme park without worrying about the rest.

Tl;Dr: He ain’t my man, but I’ll be monitoring his evolution nonetheless with the same enthusiasm of a feral scientist discovering a new specimen lmao
