Ranking AoS ships (canon & non-canon) bc I can:

FitzSimmons. If you don't have this as your top, I DON'T TRUST YOU. They are the blueprint, the very epitome of romance. If someone doesn't dive through a space rock to reach me on another planet, I don't want them

Dousy. Ik some people much prefer Sousa and Peggy, and they have a great relationship, but I don't know, I just like Dousy more. Maybe bc I want Daisy to be in a healthy relationship for once? But for only appearing in around half the episodes of s7, they don't feel rushed, and Chloe and Enver have great chemistry. They're so sweet together, I can't say much else other than I love them

Skimmons. Okay okay ik what a lot of people are gonna say, but I just think they're wonderful together. I've drifted a bit from shipping this, I do see the sisters aspect of them (I don't see them as sisters and romantically at the same time, that is WEIRD), but I still have a small soft spot for it. I think it's mostly Chloe and Elizabeth's love for the ship that sells it

Philinda. Tbh this and Skimmons could be switched, they're very close in my brain. While I don't necessarily feel too bad about them splitting up in s7, I like both the platonic and romantic versions of them, I think they were really great. They so obviously love each other, and what more can I say to that?

Huntingbird. 100% compatible 50% of the time, as Hunter puts it. I don't believe this to be the healthiest of AoS relationships, but not everything has to be perfect all the time. One moment they could be making jabs at one another, the next they're making out. Who knows? Their moments are a fun time either way

MackElena. I think what this ship needs is more time. Compared to the other relationships, MackElena doesn't get to share the screen all that much. I do love how they learn from one another, and they've always given me a kind of comforting type of vibe. They're just cute together

Simmorse. This feels like a relatively newer ship in the fandom, and I am all for it. I don't ship it massively, but I 100% see the potential, I think it's very easy to see that Jemma was crushing on Bobbi a couple times

QuakeRider. Just like Simmorse, I do see it, but I've never really been a big fan of it. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it has great vibes, I love the rogue x rogue type ship, I just don't ship it that much. I personally see them closer to older brother, younger sister type of dynamic. But I do see the potential

Staticquake. HEAR ME OUT OKAY? I used to like Staticquake a lot, but on my rewatches I see myself getting farther and farther away from it. It's not that they don't have good chemistry or that I don't think they're really in love, oh no, they have all of it, it's just not the best relationship for Daisy. There are more than a few moments where they're arguing, majority of the time Lincoln being in the wrong, and later Daisy apologizing for it? It always struck me as odd. I also feel like resolved too many issues behind the scenes, relying on exposition to make the audience believe they had gone further in their relationship

DekeDaisy. Idk if they have an actual ship name, so I'm going with this one for now. It's just wayyy too one-sided and doesn't seem like it would work anyway. Daisy was not in the right frame of mind for a relationship, and she seemed relatively blind to Deke's advances. Also considering that Deke sold her to the Kree earlier... yeah, it was never gonna work

Skyeward. It might get up one spot for the Framework version of them, but as it stands, the real life version of them is AWFUL. Ward lied to Skye on almost everything, hurt her, hurt her loved ones, kidnapped her, became obsessed with her, and countless other things I can't remember rn. They're so toxic and if you ship them (not Framework or pre-betrayal), I have genuine concern in your love life

One minute, he's great to be around, the next, he's talking about how the Nazis did some good things for Germany.

Static Quake: The relationship that should've been endgame. Like, she probably got engaged and the wedding was next week. But all of a sudden, the fiance dies in a car crash. Tragic, I know.

Quakerider: The relationship that could've happened. I mean, he was a nice guy; family man, hard worker, has a nice car so he can drive you anywhere. However, he was too committed to his career. Could've happened, but his job prevented him from a romantic life.

Dekaisy (I don't know what Deke and Daisy's ship name is): The relationship that seems to have been set up by friends and family. The guy was a family member of your close friends and some people started going, "hey, you know, I bet you and my grandson would be cute together". But it didn't work out because of personality differences.

Sousy: The relationship that occurs after your previous true love dies. This one you usually only see in soap operas; the guy that should've been the one died in a tragic accident. You think it's over...until you meet...him. He's sweet, handsome, charming, and he genuinely cares for you. But you think to yourself that you might not be ready to move on. Then you realize that it's okay to move on and that your former lover would've wanted you to be happy.

I know this has been said before but I just want to appreciate how this is the first time the whole team immediately got along with one of daisy's love interests (and shipped them even before they were a thing). I just love that so much

No one was particularly fond of miles...Coulson and may because she lied to them and fitz because of his little crush on daisy

Everyone eventually hated ward (and rightfully so because he was a hydra nazi bitch (stans/skyew*rd shippers DNI))

It took them a while to get with lincoln, as far as I remember they were a little apprehensive at first

But sousa...for sousa it didnt take them that long to make him part of the family...and I love that so much. This dorky square who called their bluff within their first interaction...they saved his life, made him a part of the team, made him a key part in their final mission, and they all just immediately got along with him SO WELL

Coulson had been fanboying from minute one and he gave his dad seal of approval ("that makes me happy too" 😊 it makes all of us happy phil)

Yeah sure jemma and sousa didnt have the greatest first interaction...but after their initial fallout he apologizes and I love their dynamic (the few seconds that we got, that is). Her making him a new prosthetic after he enters the ship?? That's the fitzsimmons way of saying welcome to the family. Like she knew he would stay. Her small smile when he decides to stay with them for daisy? Her knowing look after watching him and daisy interact?? The whole "they're your everything" scene??? Girl has always been captain of the ship (even with a scrambled memory)

And mack was just on a whole other level. He interacted with sousa for a whole of maybe 10 seconds and decided that yes we are going to save his life fuck the history books he's one of us now and I love that. Their dynamic may be one of my favourites in the whole show. And let's be honest..without him dousy would have remained pining and clueless idiots for a while. "I dont have any intentions""well then you better get some" As far as shovel talks go, this was one of the best ones out there. And his bet with yoyo? Amazing. Him preventing sousa from running of into the chronicom ship and getting himself killed because daisy will come back and when she does she will need her dork in one piece dammit? Incredible

I don't know what the terms of their bet was, but I will not even for a second believe that yoyo didnt ship them, okay? Because "dont worry too much about daisy"? Their mutual acknowledgement of the fact that they will never not worry about their SOs? She been knew

Even deke...with his what was an extremely childish (and borderline weird) crush on daisy and endless unrequited pining...he saw how happy daisy was around sousa, how crushed she was when she thought danny boy was going to stay behind...and so he took the bullet before she got hurt any further and I love him for it (seriously though deke had such incredible character growth this season it needs to be addressed more)

(Yeah we didnt really get much interaction from may and fitz..but the fact that may is an empath now would mean she knew something was up for a while (esp after the time loops 😏) and considering the fact that fitz saw the future through the time streams...he would have known for years)

And the super soft looks that the whole team had during their framework meeting when daisy was talking about sousa 🥺. They're so happy for her I'm so soft for this family

People were interested in the Deke/Daisy/Daniel polyamory story so I thought I'd post the first chapter here. You can also read it on my fanfiction account here including an author's note with all my ship names thus far.

Men out of Time Chapter 1

Anyone can fall in love with Daisy Johnson. You have to be a special kind of person for Daisy Johnson to fall in love with you. The first special type was, unfortunately, evil. There was Miles and then there was Ward. She buried that part of her past and moved forward. Then there was the second type, the powerful type. Lincoln and Gabe. Lincoln had been her most heartbreaking relationship and she missed him to this day. And now she was on to her third type. Men out of time. Deke had made an acronym out of it, Moot. Daisy called them her space boyfriends. 

There was something incredibly satisfying about traveling through space with Deke, Sousa, and Kora. She missed her S.H.I.E.L.D. family but she was glad she had this family, the one ripped from toxic timelines. Everyone in that family had been given a proper second chance by S.H.I.E.L.D. and she was so grateful for that. She wouldn’t have the two loves of her life if it weren’t for them. She wouldn’t have her sister. And she wouldn’t have the cosmos to travel through. It really was beautiful up here.

They had movie nights, twice a week. There were so many films that only Daisy had seen. She’d started them with ET, so Sousa could figure out space a little bit, then Space Jam, which was more for Deke’s sake than anyone else’s, since you can’t just wear Michael Jordan’s shoes and not know who he is. Now they were slowly working through all of the Star Wars movies. Deke was pretty sure he could create a functioning lightsaber, especially if he got Bobo on the phone, but that seemed like a bad idea in an enclosed space. Sousa had started calling her Quake abilities “the force.” Daisy didn’t mind the gentle teasing or Deke’s crazy ideas. She was just happy to have some time cuddled up to her boys.

Daisy could swear that Deke and Sousa were closer to each other than to her. She didn’t mind it, it filled her heart with joy that they were so happy together. Deke was the only person who almost never called him Sousa. It was always Daniel or Danny Boy. Sousa called him Lemon boy, as revenge, but Sousa had also been touched almost to the point of tears when Deke gave him a lemon and explained that it was a sign of affection. Daisy was very happy to point out that she had gotten eight lemons, in comparison to Sousa’s one lemon. Both of the boys were a little mad at her after that, but it quickly passed and a few extra lemons ended up in Sousa’s bed, bringing his total to twelve. 

Lemons aside, the best thing was when Daisy would be off, reaching out to someone on earth, or talking with Kora or just taking a nap and she would come back to find Deke and Sousa snuggled up on the couch or one of them talking and the other looking at them with the rapt attention of someone who had found the two parts that made their everything. One of Daisy’s favorite things about Sousa was the way he looked at you and really listened and so many times she’d find them in the middle of a conversation, Sousa leaning on an elbow and taking in every word.

Deke certainly felt like a million bucks. Outside of family, he’d never experienced a love so brilliant and full as the love he felt for and from his significant others. He hadn’t known that you could experience love like that for two people without one canceling the other out. It was freeing, it was empowering, and it was wonderful. Though love certainly didn’t make a person whole, for Deke, it finally felt like he was a part of something where he really mattered. Daniel was one of the first people who always listened to him, no matter what. Like, he could be in the middle of writing a fancy letter on his typewriter and if Deke wanted to talk about his childhood traumas, Daniel would take the time to listen. It really meant the world to him to have someone who listened, he knew that Daisy felt the same way. And in return, whenever Daniel wanted to talk about his timeline or the one that got away, Daisy and Deke would drop everything to hear him out.

If Daisy had to pick one thing that she didn’t like about her men out of time it was their slang. Sousa still used the most outdated slang, but Deke was worse. He would use new slang and 80s slang interchangeably, incorrectly. Daisy had long since given up correcting him, but it was getting dire now that he was passing on his vocabulary to Sousa. It was cute that they were trying to fit into this timeline, though. It made her laugh, and they both lived to make her laugh. She had the biggest, prettiest smile when she laughed. 

Daisy did her fair share of making them laugh, too. They would cuddle up together and she’d tell stories of her early days as an agent. It wasn’t always funny but there were some things that everyone found at least a little bit amusing. Deke lived for the stories about his grandparents, not just the heartwrenching ones (which were in abundance) but the silly ones about Fitz playing poker with her ex, or the time Fitz and Daisy were undercover as an American couple on a train. Daisy, Sousa, Deke, and Kora spent the next hour after that one trying to fake their best Scottish accent. Surprisingly, Sousa had the best one. Kora didn’t know what she was doing, Daisy’s accent was still garbage, and Deke was trying his best. 

“Every time Fitz pulled out his accent it sounded like he was trying to make fun of Ward.”

“It’s a shame that guy was like, super evil, he had such a cool name,” Deke said.

“Yeah, the evil outweighs any of the coolness.”

“We could’ve killed him in my timeline,” Kora pointed out. Daisy let out a short laugh

“As tempting as that sounded, murder is not the answer for everything,” Daisy reminded her sister.

“Okay, but like, it’s the answer for some things.”

“Like if you were filling out a crossword puzzle and the clue was, what is a six-letter word for assassination,” Daniel suggested.

“What’s a crossword puzzle?” Deke asked, “That sounds fun. Does it have anything to do with crossdressing?”

“No, it doesn’t- wait. Deke, are you the one that's been wearing my clothes?"

"Daniel dared me," Deke said quickly. 

“Come on snake, let’s rattle,” Daniel muttered, feeling slightly betrayed.

“You asking me to dance or to fight?” Deke smirked.

“I don’t understand what language they speak,” Kora said with an eye roll, heading back to the cockpit to get away from the couple’s drama.

“Don’t have a cow, Daisy. Daniel thought I looked good in your clothes.” Deke laughed.

Daisy rolled her eyes as well, laying back over both of their laps. 

“Just ask me next time, weirdo. I don’t mind sharing clothes as long as you’re not stealing them.” She paused and looked up at Daniel, “Have you also been wearing my clothes?”

“Deke dared me.”

“Who started the dares?” Daisy asked, incredulous at the himbo energy coming from her space boyfriends.

“That’s not important,” Deke said, “Danny looked super cute in your shorts.”

Daisy smirked, “Danny’s gonna have to show me.” 

Sousa grunted and turned towards Deke, “Do you have to keep calling me Danny? You’re the only person in the whole world who doesn’t call me Sousa.” 

“Do you want me to stop?” Deke asked, resting his head against Daniel’s shoulder and resting his hand on Daisy’s arm, rubbing patterns into her skin and causing goosebumps on both Daisy and Daniel.

Sousa glanced at Deke, his soft brown hair brushing against the side of Sousa’s face. He let out a sigh, “You can call me Danny, Lemon boy." 

Deke's face lit up and he leaned up to kiss Sousa on the cheek, feeling warm and happy.

The three of them fell into a comfortable silence for a while, Daisy still stretched out in their laps, and then Sousa decided to wax poetic.

"I still can't fathom how this happened, how the whole galaxy is ours. How I get to see the beauty of the heavens with the loves of my life." Deke and Daisy both blushed a little. Sousa always did this. Always composed these speeches that made them feel both secure and special. They both deserved someone like him. 

"You both deserve a thousand galaxies," Deke said. He loved them so much, but he still sometimes felt like he was intruding. He'd lived his whole life feeling unwanted. Daniel wrapped an arm around him and ran his other hand through Daisy's hair.

"We all deserve this," Daisy said, "we all deserve this second chance." She sat up enough to kiss Daniel and then Deke, and then she was just sitting in their laps as they both stared at her, feeling this fullness of love that they had never felt before. Feeling, for the first time, like they really deserved the galaxies.
