soo, this is a Severance fic. Because of course it is. Because it's all that my wormed brain can produce right now, but this time... it's an AU!

I saw stills of Adam Scott as a cater waiter in Party Down (which I still haven't watched although I intent to) and my brain immediately went "oh my god, just like Dan Humphrey in those two Gossip Girl episodes HANG ON I COULD MAKE A MARKHELLYNA FIC OUT OF THIS"

So it's a lowkey Dair inspired-Party Down inspired, not severed AU where Helena and Mark meet when she's in a fancy NYC party and he's working there. Here's a snippet:

“I think you’re having a panic attack.” “I don’t have panic attacks.” Mark leaned in on his knees next to her. “Okay, you’re not having a panic attack, but would you breathe with me?” She had the prettiest eyes. Huge, angry. A dark, mossy shade of green. The cold was turning her cheeks pink. She should have a coat on, but he didn’t have his jacket on to offer it to her.  She probably wouldn’t have taken it either way.

I’ve seen posts comparing Dan and Blair with Rufus and Lily. And remember that scene in season 1 where Rufus tells Dan he used to date a girl “like Serena”?

So here’s what I’m thinking: years after season 6, Milo (or maybe Dan has another kid) is in love with Blair’s son Henry. So Dan tries give his kid advice saying “you know I dated a girl that was like Henry once. Actually a lot like Henry”
