So we can all agree this is the Scouts model, right?

The hairline, the ears, everything matches up, even the shoes which felt far too small to be any other merc other than maybe Spy. But, the model of Spy including the one without the mask doesn't match this one so, it's most likely the Scouts model they're using.

Despite the blur, you can tell it does seem to be the shape of Scout's face.

I know this isn't anything groundbreaking, just something I wanted to point out :]

AO Beetlejuice Performance

I completely forgot to talk about this the other day: Beetlejuice the Musical performed at the AO on Sunday on channel 9. We got to see Eddie Perfect perform 'On The Roof', funny enough: on the roof of the Rod Laver Arena. He did a wonderful job, considering he wrote the songs it's no surprise.

Next, we got to see Karis Oka (who was revealed to play Lydia the same day) perform 'Dead Mom'. She did an outstanding job! It has me even more excited to see the musical, I can't wait! :D

Arcane is the most beautiful piece of art I've ever had the pleasure to witness, I am so glad to be alive at the same time as something as incredible as Arcane. To have been here for both the season 1 and season 2 release will forever be one of the best decisions I've ever made. To the amazing team of artists and creatives who worked on such a magnificent show: thank you <3

CHAT WE'RE SO BACK

WE'RE FINALLY GETTING THE LAKE TERRITORY!! Man, I remember when they first announced and showed the models for the next game, worth the wait because this looks gorgeous! The new models look absolutely brilliant, the devs did a great job! :D

Obviously, this is a teaser, a little Q&A over on their discord said it's still a WIP, trying to make sure it's good enough for playable alpha/beta. They're aiming for a 2025 release but no specific date just yet. They have practically started from scratch so it's not impossible for it to be pushed back. They're also attempting to make sure models and game passes are transferred from WCUE to WCLT.

For context, because I know I haven't talked about it here: WCUE is a Warrior Cats game on Roblox I've been playing on and off for years now, but especially played it a lot in the past 3 years. I just wanted to express my excitement for the teaser of the next game!! LETS GOOOOO!!!

NO WAIT BECAUSE I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS SO MUCH! Since his parents died he's had no one to call anymore but that funny thing called grief keeps him coming back to the phone. It was such routine for him to call his parents that now that they're gone, he finds himself still going back to that phone, still dialling it in hopes that maybe...just maybe they'll pick it up. He knows it's futile but that doesn't stop him, he's grieving the loss of his parents and it's only natural he'd do something like this.

Idk it's something about Sniper's character that I love seeing explored and discussed because it's very interesting.

Do you ever get stuck in a routine of the past?

Night In The Woods is beautiful and tragic, it will stand as one of my favourite games of all time. I cannot begin to describe how brilliant the writing, the art, and the storytelling are without a 5,000-word essay.

AM I WEIRD OR DOES ANYONE ELSE HATE PASTA???

I've told my mates about how I hate pasta and they think I'm crazy. Like I thought it'd be one of those things where "oh yeah some people like it some people don't" 50/50 split type of thing. BUT NO! I swear everyone I have ever talked to loves pasta, and I just don't get it.

I'm not kidding when I say I literally can not stomach pasta dishes, doesn't matter what type of pasta, what type of sauce, what's put in it, it tastes disgusting and I hate it. I NEED to know what the ratio of 'people who like pasta' to 'people who don't' is.

Grojband's Old Blog and Other Things

Since revisiting my favourite childhood show Grojband I also stumbled upon a bunch of things

The Portuguese version of the show: it goes so hard, especially the songs. This is just a 3-minute video of the Portuguese version and an awesome relic, 100% worth giving a quick watch.

The Grojband blog must've been made around 2010 when the first post was made. It had a bunch of cool Behind The Scenes stuff like concept art, storyboards etc. Also, rundowns of the characters whilst the show was being made, it has a bunch of things about the characters that were never mentioned in the show. There's so much on the old Blogspot that is 100% worth having a look through, it was very nostalgic and it's an interesting relic of the past.

If there is any TF2 fan that's also a Los Campesinos! fan PLEASE tell me do you also think Clown Blood; or, Orpheus’ Bobbing Head fits Demoman really well? or am I crazy?

Like the line "Climb the Anhedonian Mountains just to circle the plughole" Anhedonia is, by definition, the inability to feel pleasure in normally pleasurable activities.

Then some later lyrics "Each evening, morning, afternoon, I want for nothing", referencing an annotation from Genuis that made a good point: "This repetition combined with the first verse’s reference to anhedonia inverts the usual meaning of ‘want for nothing’ into something negative i.e. not wanting anything is a symptom of depression." Does that not fit the Demo?

Like the line "She fucks to cum, I drink to be drunk, and both of us are wasted". To reference another Genius annotation: "Both the “she” and the “I” participate in physical activities just for the physical sensations they produce. And since both characters are “wasted,” they appear to have succeeded in getting what they want. What’s more, their lives are “wasted” because they are only pursuing shallow pleasures." DOES THAT NOT FIT DEMOMAN?? Am I just crazy? I don't know but I like to think it does.

The song also goes into Greek mythology, given Orpheus's name in the title, now from what I can remember (with my poor memory) Demo doesn't canonically have a partner, so I first thought applying Orpheus to his story wouldn't make much sense but then I thought about instead of a romantic partner like Eurydice was to Orpheus, it could be his adoptive family. In one of the stories of Orpheus, in an attempt to get his wife, Eurydice, back to life he seeks help from Hades, playing a mournful song that both moved Hades and Persephone. So, he agreed to let her return to the overworld on the condition that Orpheus would not look back and face Eurydice until they both made it to the overworld. But fearful he might have been tricked, just a few steps away from the exit, Orpheus looks back. And Eurydice was there the entire time and the moment he looked she disappeared once again.

I thought this could be applied to Demoman and how he lost his adoptive parents due to his fierce temper and fascination with explosives. He probably spent years and still spends time grieving and feeling guilty for their death, blaming himself for their demise and wishing that he could maybe bring them back. Hence why I think Orpheus's story could be applied here; he looks back at Eurydice and causes her to disappear due to the fear of being tricked. Demoman feels guilty for causing his parent's death due to his fascination with explosives, despite being a child.

Then the outro lyrics "Orpheus' head bobs in the ocean" refer to Orpheus's death, him being torn from limb from limb by the maenads (followers of Dionysus) his head then floating down the River Hebrus to the ocean along with his lyre (his instrument gifted from Apollo), still singing his sorrowful songs. Applying this to Demo he may still mourn his adoptive parent's death even after all these years, and fair to him, his current parents aren't exactly all sunshine and rainbows; putting crazy and harmful expectations onto him.

I hope I don't look crazy talking to a brick wall here but I just thought the song fits Demoman pretty well, at least to me :]

The insane level of skill to create such a gorgeous and realistic piece of art on a canvas is something that will never cease to amaze me. The fact that a human did this with their own hands, skill and passion alone is beautiful and admirable.
