A plethora of things are going wrong, and many people are wondering if the days of Terminators and “Skynet”…

Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s not like you and Humphrey were exactly friends, you were acquaintances at best. But when your father and his mother decided to marry, you became his stepsister. He spent more time in the mirror than you, his boring girlfriend hated you, and he was always busy so you had no time to get to know each other.
It wasn’t difficult to get on Humphrey’s nerves and you excelled at it. You would move a perfect curl off-kilter or crinkle his sleeve and it would piss him off so much that he would hiss at you. But after a while, he would anticipate your attempts to annoy him. He would come to love it, expecting your advances around every corner.
He would playfully wrestle you, trapping your wrists above your head. Enjoying the way your breathing hitched and how your breasts would heave up in your dresses. Anyone who would see this would know Humphrey was playing a dangerous game. Which is one reason he kept these feelings close to his chest.
Victoria and you were none the wiser, even when Humphrey would make faces at you across the dinner table. His roaming hands would linger at the small of your back on a stroll through town. He would take you on picnics and feed you pieces of fruit, making it impossible not to take his fingers into your mouth. When passing you at home, he would make sure to bump his crotch into your ass too many times not to start to notice something was up. He was doing the most and he was getting sloppy. You could just let it go, but if you were one thing, you were horny.
Horny enough to get into the pants of your gorgeous and willing stepbrother. I mean, you weren’t blood-related. You didn’t even look alike, so you saw no problem with having a taste of forbidden fruit.
Tumblr media
You were patient with Humphrey and with your newly married parents. Soon, your schedule would make it perfect to be alone with your stepbrother. Your parents would be attending a dinner in a nearby town and Humphrey was tasked with keeping you company while your parents were away. You both kept up appearances by seeming bothered, Humphrey’s hand under the table squeezing your inner thigh told a different story. It conveyed to you all you needed to know.
While your parents busied themselves with preparation, you and Humphrey were in the library, taking turns reading to one another. You read humbly so that your parents couldn’t hear the erotica you read your stepbrother. His rapt attention feeds your willingness to give him more. You ghosted your hand down your neck and over pert and supple breasts. The book in his hands is soon forgotten and dropped to the floor as your parents step in to say their goodbyes.
You lock eyes with Humphrey as you hear the front door close.
“Yours or mine, dear Sister?” Humphrey got straight to the point, his erection straining in his pressed pants.
“Neither,” He was undoubtedly confused, his brow furrowing, “I want you to take me here so we can be reminded of each other daily. I hope you can be amenable to that, dear Brother?”
“More than amenable,” he enunciates, unbuttoning his breeches to free his eager and flushed cock, “I’d say I was downright enthusiastic.”
“I’ll be the judge of that,” You declare, kneeling in front of him to stroke his girth, “I’ll take matters into my own hands, sweet Brother.”
“I’d rather you take matters into that filthy little mouth of yours,” He fists your hair, tilting your head back until you smile at one another, “You like it, don’t you? You like being my little slut?” Your moan is more than enough of an answer, but he still shoves you down the length of his prick.
He fucks into your mouth as you move your hands from his hips around to rest on his ass. He enjoys how you are trying to get every inch inside, pulling him closer until your nose is buried into the curly hair at the base of his dick.
“That’s my good girl,” He proclaims, knowing how to keep you merry, “Fuck, your mouth is so hot and tight, but I bet it pales in comparison to your cunt. Shall we test that theory?” He pulls his cock out of your mouth, a wet trail of spit still connecting the two of you.
You smile up at him, already cock-drunk. “Please, use me, Big Brother, I’m all yours.” You plead with him, knowing you don’t have to beg. He’s more than happy to use you.
“Such a good girl for me, Little Sister. You make me so delighted. Lay on your back, love, I wish to see your face when I enter you,” You flop on your ass, laying back and all but ripping down your pettipants to reveal how soaked you are.
Humphrey holds your legs open and enters you after running the tip of his dick through your folds, grunting as he does so. He smiles as he watches your face, adjusting to the squeeze of your tight pussy. He leans down, feigning as if he were to kiss your neck, and blows a raspberry on it instead, sending you into a fit of giggles.
“At a time like this, you wish to make me laugh?” You hold your side, laughter dying down as Humphrey nuzzles your nose with his own.
“I couldn’t help myself. I enjoy you, Little Sister,” He hits a particular pace that is gentle yet firm, “As I enjoy you, I enjoy this cunt of yours. Or should I call it mine?”
“It’s yours, Big Brother. Fuck your fucking cunt,” You all but scream out, Humphrey’s strokes and words exciting you to no end.
“Cum on my cock, dear Sister, show me how you enjoy my dick inside you,” At Humphrey’s words, you feel the bubble burst on your orgasm, your pussy fluttering around him setting him ablaze. “Fuck, I’m going to fill you so full of my seed, Sister…” He trails off, his hips stuttering as he stills abruptly.
“Yes, Brother, fill me until I’m so full of you,” You can still feel him twitching inside of you when he suddenly pulls out, going to lay between your legs. You think he wishes to watch his seed leak out of you, then you feel his tongue. His tongue dances along your folds, no doubt tasting your combined arousal.
“Cum on my tongue, Sister. I want you to give me all you’ve got,” And those words are enough to elicit from you another orgasm, this time on his lips and tongue instead of his prick. He laps it up like the polite boy he is, pulling your skirts back down over your legs and laying down next to you on the library floor. He reaches an arm over you, closing his eyes for a moment.
Tumblr media
You both lay on the floor until you hear knocking at the front door.
“Fuck me, I forgot I was supposed to see Victoria today!” Humphrey harshly whispers, not moving to go answer the door, “Perhaps if I ignore her, she’ll give up?”
“Yeah, she’s definitely the type to give up when she doesn’t get something the first time,” You tease, wriggling out of Humphrey’s hold on you, “Just go and end her suffering and go to dinner or whatever it was.”
“No, I’m happier here with you, Little Sister,” Humphrey gets up from the floor and straightens himself before walking to the front door, coughing and sneezing before he opens the door.
You can hear him putting on the act tenfold but you don’t dare peek around the corner, keeping your mouth covered lest she hears your laugh. You hear the door close and footsteps come back down the hall and stop behind you.
“So what do you say we have an early dinner and I’ll read to you about those old pirates you love so much,” He could always persuade you, that was more than evident as of now.
“That sounds lovely, Big Brother,” You lifted yourself from the floor finally and followed him out of the room and through your home.

A/N: I’ve never written Humphrey before, so yeah. But I’ve seen Stardust probably around twenty to thirty times so I feel like I’m doing good.

Daily Blog July 2, 2023
So I'm mad at my beta! We were chatting back and forth on Discord originally about my WIP fic I'm writing. Yes, the one were I wrote the first 7 chapters back in 2007 before HPDH was released. Anyway, the fic will have 4 parts, and part 1 is the original. I asked her to beta the older chapters so they would be ready to go. Ummmm, she mentioned the whole premise of the fic, was making her anxious. So I stopped her from doing anymore and said no worries. Betaing should not cause stress. Okay we'll get back to me needing a beta at the end of the blog today.
But this is not why I'm mad at her. No.... she mentioned she's writing for @hd-fan-fair this year and did I take a look at the prompts. I said absolutely not because I always get sucked in. So we chatted some more and she said oh just take a look and tell me which one you would write for if you were participating this year.
You see where this is going don't you... Since my muse is on fire these days. I spotted a prompt and boom, full shorter story popped into my head. The final lines and everything. So, yes, I've joined the fest and I blame my beta! Actually, I love @myaulophobia dearly.
What I'm reading:
Yesterday I said I would be reading the first posted story for @hd-wireless. Um, that will be tonight. Because I was just taking a look at my Tumblr feed when @drarryspecificrecs posted the longest Drarry fics for June. Bam! So I read Tandem (92K) by fast-brother (AO3). Who is also another NEW author. OMG where are they coming from? We are so blessed in Drarry. This story, this story I read until I fell asleep last night and woke up early on this Sunday morning to finish it.
Here's the summary: Harry and Draco meet by accident six years after the war. Harry's an Auror with a drinking problem and Draco's a broke student. Things don't work out well. Six years after that, Draco joins the British Auror Office as a Potioneer.
Here's a little more from me: Draco was sentenced to 15 years probation of No Magic and all vaults and Manor confiscated. Lucius and Narcissa were sentenced to Azkaban. The Ministry was a mess during the trials and the Ministry is still in a mess. Ron is Head Auror (love this!) and Harry is also a mess. Great Auror, but drinks too much, has sex too much, and works to hard to push down those hard to deal with feelings.
The story is written from alternating POV, which is quite nice and helpful in understanding the place where both of them are coming from...not a good place originally. The story starts with the meeting after the first 6 years, which is rough. Then Draco moves on, marries, and makes something of his life as Potioneer in France. However, he has no magic so he's learned to do things for himself instead of relying on others' magic to help him. Draco is hired with insistence of one Ron Weasley to come back and work for the Aurors as their UK DMLE Potioneer. Then sparks start to fly...
This fic has one of the best relationships between Ron and Draco that I've read. Hermione too, but mainly R & D. They all love Harry, but...... And Harry, oh I love this Harry despite his being an arse in so much of it. However, he has his story and his telling of what happened in the Forest is unforgettable. And you, too, will fall back in love with our Harry.
There are so many scenes that are memorable but I'm not going to say anymore. You need to read this fic and give one of our New Drarry authors love.
Tandem on AO3
Rom needs Beta Help!
Let me state up front that I do have an Alpha, the wonderous and amazing @m0srael. What I'm looking for is a strong SPAG beta and if you can spot inconsistencies and/or canon issues, even better. I'm an engineer by trade and cannot tell you the last time I took an English/grammar class. I'm terrible with my commas! As my beta was also my Britpicker... I might need one of those later on.
Here's the link to The Azkaban Letters so you can read all of the pairings and warnings. Yes, it is a Drarry fic but.... The prologue is also available to read. The fic, I think will come in at about 200K. I have 90K written. It's broken down into 4 parts and Part 2 will be the longest.
I'd list more but no need to bore most of you. So if interested take a look at the link and prologue. If that doesn't scare you and are interested, you can DM me here on Tumblr.
Thanks for this personal indulgence!

Misermie Mall (Flash Fiction Friday/daily snippet 8.25.23)
wip: original fiction wc: 1005 prompt: @flashfictionfridayofficial Mall at Night
The mall in Misermie, Tennessee finally shuttered its doors in 2007, leaving its massive buildings derelict and abandoned in the town’s crumbling downtown district.
It served no purpose — considered useless even by graffitiing teenagers and lone squatters who left the building untouched and alone — than to be the biggest eyesore that the residents of Misermie ever seen.
Yet, the city council had spent the past sixteen years striking down any attempt to get the mall demolished. At the beginning there were promises of new businesses, of a so-called economic revival for the destitute local economy, but those were quickly proven empty when a year passed, then two, then four with no sign of improvement. By the fifth year the Coming Soon banner, tattered and dirty, disappeared from sight after its cords snapped during a thunderstorm.
And that’s about the most exciting thing that’s happened to damn thing since.
People don’t even talk about it anymore. Maybe mumble a “Oh, that old thing” or even a “You mean those buildings downtown” when a kid tries to bring up the fact that nearly 4 blocks of downtown is obscured by the industrial corpse of the mall.
And god forbid you try to bring up the smell.
“Dude, my mom acts like I’m crazy when I bring it up,” Sam complains as she vaults herself over the fence. Her sneakered feet hit the asphalt with a smack and she winces at the sharp pain that zips up her legs. “Like, how can you not smell it?”
She turns to watch as Henry clambers his way over the top of the fence, the dim streetlights illuminating the dull metal, making sure he doesn’t snag himself on anything on the way.
“Yeah,” he breathes out as he swings a leg over, “My parents are the same way. It’s pretty weird.”
He decides to drop the rest of the way down and nearly topples over because of it.
“Jesus, Henry,” Sam says as she reaches out to steady him. “We haven’t even made it inside yet.”
He makes a face at her and wipes his hands on his pants. “I’m fine,” he grumbles, adjust the backpack on his shoulders, “Is Violet here or what?”
Sam pulls out her phone, studiously ignoring the texts from her parents, and checks her conversation with Violet. “Uh, she’s already at the back entrance. She said to keep the lights off until we’re around the back.”
“Of course she did.”
She kicks him with her foot. “C’mon, don’t be such a baby. Let’s go.”
As they walk through the parking lot, cracked and weedy, Sam looks over her shoulder every once and while, making sure they’re still in the clear.
“Hey, did you hear about that news reporter?” Henry asks a couple of minutes later, knocking his shoulder into hers. “The one from ETNN?”
Jeremiah Meadows. Knoxville native. Graduate from Northwestern. Missing five days and counting.
“A little bit. Not much though,” Sam says, glancing over at Henry. “What about it?”
“My sister’s weirded out about it. You know, she works for the city — the mayor’s office? They were bitching about the guy visiting for days. Like, downright being nasty.”
“Buncha old hags. Not your sister,” she added quickly, giving a brief grin, “but I’d say that seems pretty par the course.”
“Yeah, but then the guy goes missing! That’s pretty fucking weird.” His nose scrunches up. “Ugh, god, it’s getting worse.”
It’s hard to describe the smell. Like floral rot and mold and rust. A kind of, like, raw meat smell? It ebbs and flows, but never quite disappears and it feels like it invades every part of town no matter how far you are actually from the mall.
How her parents have no idea what she’s talking about is beyond her.
Sam smothers a gag, reaching up to cover her nose with her sleeve-covered hand, and shakes her head. So gross.
They turn the corner, finally reaching the back portion of the buildings, when she barely spots Violet a couple of yards away.
“Well, there’s Vi,” she says, muffled through the cotton fabric.
“Hey, Vi!” Henry calls out, waving.
Amateur.
Sam kicks him again.
“Shut up,” she says, muffled, wacking him on the shoulder. “We’re trying not to get caught. Remember?”
“Oh my god, it’s not like anyone else is here but us, Sam, lighten up.”
“Hey Henry!” Violet replies just as cheerfully and as loud. Henry gestures towards her. See.
Whatever.
Violet greets them with a wide smile, scooping her bag up from the ground, and jerks her head towards the boarded up doors. “Welcome, welcome,” she chirps, bouncing on her toes. “You nerds ready for an adventure?”
“Sure, if we can even get in.”
Sam rolls her eyes. “We’ll get in. Where’s the loose panel at?”
“Over here.” Violet walks to the closest door and nudges a wooden panel with her foot. “I thought about kicking it in, but you said you had it covered.”
“Yeah. Fair warning,” she says as she rummages through her bag, “This is going to take a minute.” There it is. Sam pulls out a hammer and goes to kneel by the panel.
She grips the hammer tightly and pounds the head against the panel. It takes a few hits before she can feel the wood give a little and she starts to move around the perimeter.
She nearly has the panel loose when a wave of the smell hits her. Recoiling from the door, she blinks away stinging tears. Shallow breaths, Sam.
They’re getting into the damn building.
“Do you want some help?” Henry asks, tapping her on the shoulder.
She shakes her head and stands. “Nah. I’m good.” And kicks the panel in.
Violet claps her hands. “Well, welcome one and all to the Misermie Mall!” She takes a step back. “Henry, you first.”

Meta + becoming Overwatch's leader
META PROMPTS & QUESTIONS / always accepting .
Tumblr media
In the western monomyth of a hero’s journey, there are three important steps for the establishment of the protagonist as the savior of their / the call to adventure - - -
Its refusal, and, finally, the belly of the whale. The first two explain themselves quite obviously: the call to adventure takes the unknown individual from the normal, daily, and inconsequential life; therefore, the hero cannot exist in a vacuum. The story cannot take its course without the hero. except the hero will not promptly accept the change of course in their common world. This may be from a sense of duty or obligation, fear, insecurity, or a sense of inadequacy, among others. The hero needs a reason that surpasses the individual and disregards his selfish desires. This is where we find the belly of the whale: the abandonment of the self, the acceptance of their role in the story as something bigger than they could ever conceive.
it’s not about you, it's about them.
In the context of Cassidy’s own journey, those three initial aspects are quite clear, among others, and could be further dismembered [adapting Vogler’s (2007) writing on the monomyth aspects] into five categories. As it is, the steps are:
THE STATUS QUO: There is Cole Cassidy, deluded by the events of 5–6 years prior, filled with guilt, working as a bounty hunter and mercenary. In his off hours, he writes a weekly column under the guise of Joel Morricone and tries to find Ana Amari’s assumed killer, The Widowmaker. He has not been in contact with his old people; his loved ones are either scattered or dead. In many ways, he is a ghost himself — he is a ghost of himself. an outlaw, a bandit for hire, a man with no name.
MEETING WITH THE MENTOR: This takes an interesting form. While on his own self-appointed mission to retrieve and reactivate Echo, he receives a letter from Ana Amari, whom he judged dead. She is asking him to visit her in Cairo. He is also attacked by Reaper, and he discovers that Gabriel Reyes is also alive — and working actively for Talon. These two encounters are important because the mentor figure provides the hero the tools, knowledge and reassurance needed for their quest. Beyond that, however, by meeting his two mentors in different ethos, the hero is faced with a bifurcation of his road: apotheosis versus damnation. It is crucial to remember that Cassidy feels both victim and executioner in the ways Overwatch fell — the way Gabriel fell, most of all.
THE (RE)CALL TO ADVENTURE: Faced with Winston’s recall of Overwatch, the path taken by many of his peers was to accept it in some way or form—but not Cole. He refuses the idea of returning, conforming to the idea that things are not going to be what they once were, and, beyond that, maybe the time for overwatch is long past. He is doing everything he can, whenever he can, to ensure that justice prevails when it cannot, but reinstating overwatch appears to be a sure way to fall back into old habits. However, THIS REFUSAL OF THE CALL is interspersed with his wish to return Echo to the world and allow Mina Liao’s last wish to come into fruition; it is safe to say, then, that his reluctance to join the new team is less about Overwatch falling into old traps and more to do with his own guilt about the way things ended. Cole Cassidy thinks himself cursed and not worth a second chance.
and finally, as explained before: THE BELLY OF THE WHALE. Cole steps in and accepts Ana’s idea to recruit new members for the team. This decision happens specifically after once more encountering his soul sister, Fareeha Amari. This is where he realizes he cannot let her continue on her path alone, and the needs of the team speak above his own. He could take his things and return to his life as it was before, but he cannot abandon the story now. In a way, his meeting with Reaper helps cement this too. A necessity to repair the hurts left by the old days, so things for the new era can go right.
Now, the abandonment of the self is nothing new for someone like the cowboy. I have made explicit this fact here a few times now. Cole sheds identities and grows them less like simple aliases, but really akin to extension of his core, but they don’t represent him wholly individually — as an individual. So, in theory, taking on a new role at the stage of this adventure should be easy, correct?
Except that it is not. Because this new role is taken not for the sake of survival, or the necessity that a job may delegate. The new self, The Leader, needs to be a selfless decision. Story progresses and we see him inevitably accept his place as the head of these new recruits, and their acceptance of him as their leader. Which is not unexpected, given all the people Cole is sent to recruit have a military background to some capacity. FAREEHA, BAPTISTE, ZARYA, HANA. they recognize in him an older figure, someone with experience that will not lead them astray.
It is a huge responsibility. Not his first time as a leader, though. Cole has led the Deadlock Rebels alongside Ashe for two years — he founded the gang with her, Julian and Frankie after all. What frightens him is not the fact he has people under his care and guidance. It is that he could fail them. Like he failed his own team, failed Gabriel, failed Ashe, failed Mina.
The Hero now finds himself IN THE ROAD OF TRIALS and it is entirely up to him which road to take, and how to face the trials he will find on the way.

Title: Navigating Dementia and Depression: My Midterm Journey at TAFTA
Imagine feeling trapped in a place that no longer feels like home, surrounded by people yet still feeling utterly alone. This is the reality for my client at TAFTA, a 92-year-old woman living with dementia and depression. She often expresses how confined she feels in the facility, yearning to be with her children again. This profound sense of loss has caused her to withdraw from daily activities, leading to a decline in her emotional well-being and motivation. Working with her as an OT student has been challenging and insightful. I’ve seen firsthand how occupational therapy can help individuals regain a sense of purpose and hope, even in complex conditions.
A recent article, "Depression in the Golden Years: An In-Depth Literature Review of Risk Factors Among Institutionalized Elders," explores the risk factors contributing to depression in institutionalized elders, highlighting the effects of social isolation, cognitive decline, loss of autonomy, and physical health deterioration (Smith & Johnson, 2020). The review emphasizes how care facility environments can worsen feelings of helplessness and loneliness. Tailored interventions, such as enhanced social support and meaningful engagement, are vital to reducing depressive symptoms. This literature reinforces the reality I see in my client’s struggle, where the lack of interaction with peers and family fuels her sense of loneliness and helplessness
My client’s story mirrors that of many older adults in long-term care facilities. Dementia, paired with depression, leaves them feeling disoriented, with cognitive impairments making everyday tasks overwhelming. For my client, the cognitive decline has made once-enjoyable activities—like leisure or social engagement—seem frustrating and pointless. This is where occupational therapy plays a transformative role.
Our goal in occupational therapy is to help individuals like her reconnect with activities that once brought them joy. Research has shown that tailored interventions in OT, such as social activities and cognitive stimulation, can improve emotional and cognitive functioning in older adults with dementia and depression (Graff et al., 2007). For my client, small victories—like encouraging her to join a group activity or simply engaging in meaningful conversation—become critical milestones. OT is not just about helping with physical tasks; it is about emotional healing and helping clients regain a sense of control over their lives.
Working with my client at TAFTA has been a humbling experience. Initially, I was eager to "fix" things quickly, but I soon learned that occupational therapy requires patience and deep empathy. My approach had to shift from focusing on immediate outcomes to understanding my client’s emotional needs, however, I had difficulties due to her lack of cooperation. She does not just need physical assistance; she needs someone to listen, empathize, and gently motivate her to engage with life again. Research by Casey and Hunt (2019) emphasizes the importance of client-centered care in OT, particularly when addressing emotional and cognitive challenges in older adults, which has been evident in my client’s progress.
This experience also prompted me to reflect on the balance between client-centered care and professional boundaries. In the beginning, I found myself emotionally invested in my client’s struggles, but with supervision and reflection, I learned to maintain a healthy professional distance. This allowed me to provide more effective care without becoming overwhelmed by the emotional challenges of the role. As Depression in the Golden Years notes, maintaining professional boundaries is essential in preventing burnout and enhancing the quality of care provided by healthcare professionals (Smith & Johnson, 2020).
As I reflect on this journey, I question whether small interventions can truly make a difference in the quality of life for clients like mine, who often feel disconnected from the world. Research supports that even minor changes—such as adjusting routines or engaging in brief but meaningful activities—can have a positive impact on mental health and emotional well-being (Graff et al., 2007). Through my practical experience, I have seen that even small steps matter. Each session, whether it involves a creative activity or a simple conversation, moves my client closer to feeling more connected and less isolated.
What I have learned is that OT is not about overnight success; it is about planting seeds of hope and helping clients rediscover a sense of agency over time. While my client may not feel fully “recovered,” each session contributes to improving her emotional well-being, even if progress is slow. This insight is supported by studies showing that long-term engagement in tailored OT interventions can gradually improve quality of life for individuals with dementia and depression (Graff et al., 2007; Casey & Hunt, 2019).
As I continue my journey in occupational therapy, one key question remains with me: How can we create spaces where individuals with dementia and depression feel valued and supported, even in the face of cognitive and emotional decline? The answer, I believe, lies in the power of meaningful engagement. Whether through group activities, one-on-one conversations, or simply creating a space where clients feel heard, occupational therapists have the unique ability to reignite hope in those who feel forgotten.
Occupational therapy is more than a series of tasks; it is about helping individuals rediscover their sense of purpose, even when life feels confined. For my client at TAFTA, the journey is ongoing, but each session brings us closer to reminding her that she is not alone in this struggle. As OTs, we strive not just to give our clients better days, but better lives.

The Impact of Amazon Music Streaming on Independent Artists
In the ever-evolving landscape of music consumption, Amazon Music Streaming has emerged as a significant player, reshaping the way we listen to and experience music. With its vast library, innovative features, and seamless integration with other Amazon services, Amazon Music Streaming has positioned itself as a formidable competitor in the crowded music streaming industry. This article delves into the rise of Amazon Music Streaming, exploring its journey, unique features, and impact on the music industry.
The Evolution of Music Streaming:
The way we consume music has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past few decades. From vinyl records and cassette tapes to CDs and digital downloads, each era has brought about new ways for listeners to access their favorite tunes. However, the advent of music streaming services has been the most revolutionary change in recent history. Streaming allows users to access millions of songs instantly, without the need to purchase individual tracks or albums. This convenience, combined with the ability to discover new music, has made streaming the preferred method of music consumption for millions around the world.
Amazon’s Entry into the Music Streaming Market:
Amazon, a company synonymous with innovation and disruption, entered the music streaming market in 2007 with the launch of Amazon MP3, a digital music store. This service allowed users to purchase and download individual tracks or albums, similar to iTunes at the time. However, it wasn’t until the launch of Amazon Music Unlimited in 2016 that the company fully embraced the streaming model. Amazon Music Unlimited offers users access to a vast library of songs, curated playlists, and personalized recommendations, all available on-demand.
Key Features of Amazon Music Streaming:
Amazon Music Streaming distinguishes itself from competitors through several key features:
Vast Music Library: Amazon Music boasts a library of over 100 million songs, spanning various genres, languages, and eras. This extensive collection ensures that there is something for every listener, whether they prefer the latest chart-toppers or classic hits.
Amazon Music HD: In 2019, Amazon launched Amazon Music HD, offering high-definition audio streaming for audiophiles who demand the best sound quality. This service provides access to millions of songs in HD (16-bit, 44.1 kHz) and Ultra HD (24-bit, up to 192 kHz) quality, delivering a listening experience that is closer to the original recording.
Alexa Integration: One of the standout features of Amazon Music Streaming is its seamless integration with Alexa, Amazon’s voice-controlled virtual assistant. Users can simply ask Alexa to play their favorite songs, create playlists, or discover new music, all without lifting a finger. This hands-free convenience has made Amazon Music a popular choice for smart home users.
Personalized Recommendations: Amazon Music leverages the power of AI and machine learning to provide personalized music recommendations based on users’ listening habits. Whether it’s a daily playlist tailored to your mood or suggestions for new artists to explore, Amazon Music ensures that your music discovery experience is always fresh and exciting.
Maestro: AI-Powered Playlist Generator: Recently introduced, Maestro is an AI-powered playlist generator that allows users to create custom playlists using spoken or written prompts. This feature enables users to generate playlists based on specific instructions, emotions, or activities, offering a more personalized and intuitive music experience.
Cross-Platform Accessibility: Amazon Music Streaming is available on a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, and Amazon Echo devices. This cross-platform accessibility ensures that users can enjoy their music wherever they are, on any device they choose.
Amazon Music’s Impact on the Industry:
Amazon Music Streaming’s rise has had a significant impact on the music industry. As a major player in the streaming market, Amazon has contributed to the shift away from physical and digital music sales toward streaming as the dominant method of music consumption. This shift has had profound implications for artists, record labels, and consumers alike.
Increased Revenue for Artists: While streaming services have been criticized for their payment models, Amazon Music has implemented initiatives to support artists, particularly independent ones. Through Amazon Music for Artists, musicians have access to tools that help them understand their audience, track performance metrics, and optimize their promotional efforts. This level of transparency and support has empowered artists to take control of their careers in ways that were previously impossible.
Enhanced Music Discovery: The integration of AI-driven recommendations and curated playlists has transformed how listeners discover new music. Amazon Music’s ability to introduce users to new genres, artists, and songs has broadened the musical horizons of millions. This has been particularly beneficial for niche artists and genres that might not receive mainstream attention.
Competition and Innovation: Amazon Music’s entry into the streaming market has intensified competition, driving innovation across the industry. To stay competitive, streaming services must continually evolve and offer new features that enhance the user experience. This competition benefits consumers, who enjoy a richer and more diverse array of options.
Consumer Convenience: With features like Alexa integration and cross-platform accessibility, Amazon Music Streaming has made it easier than ever for users to access and enjoy music. Whether you’re at home, on the go, or working out, Amazon Music ensures that your favorite tunes are always within reach.
Conclusion:
The rise of Amazon Music Streaming marks a new era for music lovers, offering unparalleled access to a vast library of songs, innovative features, and a personalized listening experience. As the music streaming industry continues to grow, Amazon Music is poised to play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of how we discover, enjoy, and interact with music.

Former leader of Walz's battalion publishes scathing message aimed at governor's military career: Report
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The battalion commander of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s former Minnesota Army National Guard unit issued a scathing message to Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate amid mounting “stolen valor” accusations, according to media reports. “I do not regret that Tim Walz retired early from the Minnesota National Guard, did not complete the Sergeants Major Academy, broke his enlistment contract or did not successfully complete any assignment as a Sergeant Major. Unwittingly, he got out of the way for better leadership,” John Kolb wrote on Facebook, the Daily Mail reported. Kolb served as a lieutenant colonel of the 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery from 2005 to 2007, the Minnesota National Guard shows on its website. Walz served in the same battalion until 2005, when he retired ahead of the battalion deploying to Iraq that same year. Kolb now works as an attorney in Minnesota. Fox News Digital contacted Kolb for confirmation on the Facebook post and additional comment on Walz’s military service but did not receive a reply prior to publication.WALZ ACCUSATIONS OF ‘STOLEN VALOR’ PROMPT BATTLE BETWEEN HOUSE VETERANSWalz has come under mounting criticism for “stolen valor,” including veterans slamming him for saying he is a “retired Command Sergeant Major.” Walz had earned the rank of command sergeant major before his retirement, but his rank was reduced months after retiring to master sergeant, as he did not complete the required coursework with the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. The “retired Command Sergeant Major” rank was promoted by the Harris campaign until last week, when it changed Walz’s biography to read that he “served as a command sergeant major.”Walz retired from the Minnestoa Army National Guard in 2005 after 24 years of service. He then launched a successful congressional campaign and was sworn in as a member of the U.S. House representing Minnesota in 2007. Kolb continued in his social media post that he does not have a comment on Walz retiring early, as it was “his right to retire early,” but that he is fraudulently using the retired command sergeant major rank. JD VANCE ACCUSES TIM WALZ OF ‘LYING’ ABOUT MILITARY SERVICE: ‘STOLEN VALOR GARBAGE’”By all accounts and on the record, he was a competent Chief of Firing Battery/Gunnery Sergeant and First Sergeant. I cannot say the same of his service sitting, frocked, in the CSM [command sergeant major] chair. He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9,” he said. “He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9,” Kolb wrote in the reported social media post. “It is an affront to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps that he continues to glom onto the title. I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot. Similarly, when the demands of service and leadership at the highest level got real, he chose another path.””’It is an affront to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps that he continues to glom onto the title,” Kolb continued. “I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot. Similarly, when the demands of service and leadership at the highest level got real, he chose another path.”VP KAMALA HARRIS PICKING GOV. TIM WALZ AS RUNNING MATE MET WITH MEDIA SCORN: ‘SUCH A WEIRD CHOICE’Kolb tagged retired Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Behrends in the post, according to the Daily Mail, who replaced Walz in the battalion when he retired, and lauded the veteran as a “great leader.””Thomas Behrends was the right leader at the right time. He sacrificed to answer the call, leaving his family, business and farming-partner brother to train, lead and care for soldiers. He earned the privilege of being called Command Sergeant Major,” he wrote. “Like a great leader he ran toward and not away from the guns.” DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS GROUP BOASTS IT HELPED MAKE WALZ HARRIS’ RUNNING MATE: ‘FORCE THAT CANNOT BE IGNORED’Behrends has been sounding the alarm about Walz’s military career since last week, when Harris first announced the Minnesota governor as her 2024 running mate. “He’s used the rank that he never achieved in order to advance his political career,” Behrends told Fox News host Laura Ingraham last week. “I mean, he still says he’s a retired command sergeant major to this day, and he’s not. He uses the rank of others to make it look like he’s a better person than he is.”Reports of Kolb’s Facebook post have since spread across social media, including Donald Trump Jr, former President Trump’s son, writing, “Tim Walz’s Battalion Commander absolutely destroys him over his Stolen Valor. How long is the leftwing media going to keep ignoring all of this?”HARRIS’ RUNNING MATE FACES RENEWED SCRUTINY AFTER HIS ‘WEIRD’ SOCIALISM COMPARISON RESURFACESThe Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Kolb’s post. Get the latest updates from the 2024 campaign trail, exclusive interviews and more at our Fox News Digital election hub.
