Daily Vibe Check 11/12
Seunghan
5 of Chalices + 3 of Swords + 3 of Wands + 3 of Chalices + 8 of Wands
There is a heavy emphasis on paper/mail/notices. He is waiting on something, such as a notice or news. We know that he has been waiting for quite some time now. Due to the lack of answers, he was able to really focus on being okay with that. But now I think since yesterday the anticipation after being fed a literal pea sized amount of not even good news but the THOUGHT of good news, has him dizzy with anxiety. He wants to be able to celebrate with his members and wants to quickly have this situation come to an end so they can move forward. His patience is being worn thin, waiting for a final firm answer, rather than feeling consoled. He feels desperate for everything to end and be okay. He wants things to speed up; he is doing his best to proactively make it happen, but it is exhausting. he is really tired lately.
What is primarily on his mind?
10 of Swords
This is about rebirth from a terrible soul crushing situation. Just like above being how he feels. He cannot get his mind off of this situation ending so he can start anew and be vetter than before. He is really hyperfixating on resolution.
Bottom of the deck:
2 of Pentacles
The overall energy he exudes today is very forward, somewhat controlled but intentional. He is desperately whipping something up and hoping it's the correct steps to take on the matter. But he is overwhelmed at all the other possibilities and what-ifs. He should seek balance today by mellowing out and relaxing, but he may struggle to do that.
Final Notes:
He is just anxious today. I know many of you read these for emotional support and motivation, but if you can, at some point during your day, just close your eyes and breathe deeply. Think about Seunghan positively and let him know that you are there for him. Energy is all around us, and if many of you do this, he will surely feel it on a subconsious level. Please send him those positive vibes today. He needs a hug.
He is still waiting for an answer, just like all of us. He wants all of it to end just like all of us. Please continue fighting for him!

One time I was in an anti space because I was indoctrinated and also kind of... forgot... that I'd written incest in the past, I'd accidentally made friends with someone who was also friends with people I suspected hated me and what I SHOULD have done is blocked that bitch, but I was younger and stupid and thought maybe it was possible to work it out.
Anyway you may have already guessed that someone dug up my years old incest works that I'd completely forgotten existed, showed my friend, and I ended up completely blindsided and no one believed me about me not remembering them at all. Just assumed I was lying the whole time.
People as a whole have started this new habit of digging up things that happened years ago as proof that someone in a bad person in the present, or as justification for crucifying them in the present, and frankly its got to stop.
I've done some real shit things in my past. I did, I'll fully admit it. When I was in my worst headspace amidst an abusive relationship I became a person I honestly hope to god I never even come close to being again, but I've grown from that. I'm no longer that person and I no longer do those things.
They do not define who I am today. And the same thing goes for other people. I hate seeing ridiculous Daily Mail articles where they're proclaiming that celebrities are racist because they took a mud bath nine years ago on a vacation or something.
"X Celebrity is a horrible bully?!"
And then its literally just because they called someone annoying as a child. Its ridiculous. I've met people in real life and had other people warn me about them because of things they did literal decades ago.
People are always screaming about working on yourself, improving, being a better person, ect, but people can't actually achieve that when you're anchoring them to the things they've done in the past. People can't grow if you're weighing them down.

Safe with You
Pairing: Silva x male!reader
Words: 1 k
Rating: G
Summary: Silva gets a little sappy with you.
Author: Mod Mouse
Notes: I've been working hard on my Kinktober entries so I thought it would be nice to have small little drabbles to post as we get closer to October. Plus I wanted an excuse to write for this lovely cowboy. I used fluff prompts from @voidfxndoms specifically #28. Thank you for the wonderful prompts!
Life has moved quickly for you in the last year. You were a roaming rider for the Pony Express, seeing the West from the back of your faithful horse. It was nice for a time seeing the rolling hills and hot deserts throughout this vast country. But as time went on, the more you realized how much you hated how temporary everywhere felt. One day you would be delivering a letter to somewhere in California, and the next week you find yourself sleeping under stars in the New Mexico territory. Finally you decided that enough was enough. You would find something more stable than delivering mail.
When the next town rolled around, you hung up your mail bag and scanned the “Help Wanted” sign in the middle of town. Lucky for you there was a job that was just up your alley. “Horse hand needed for long term ranch help.” You made sure to keep that information in your mind as you made your way out of town as the instruction indicated.
That was when you met Silva. You remember riding into his ranch where he was outside tending to his cattle herds. The clomping of horse hooves had Silva glancing up from his favorite steers. After exchanging words and experiences, Silva deemed you more than capable for the position. From that moment on, you were ensnared in Silva’s world.
Silva was impressed with how you were with the horses. You learned their quirks quickly and learned what made them tick. He had to admit to himself that he was starting to find that quality about you attractive. But he always kept those thoughts inside his heart for a multitude of reasons. And it would have stayed that way if it wasn’t for one night.
A rich ranger was in search of a mare for his stud and wound up finding your ranch through word of mouth. You worked with him and soon he had a healthy foal on his hands. He had liked your service so well that he threw in a bottle of locally made wine after the birth.
That night you and Silva indulged in the gifted booze, celebrating a job well done. The two of you ended up indulging just a little too much and soon all of your inhibitions were out the door. Hours of kissing and other such activities kept you up ‘till all hours of the night.
Of course the morning came and when he realized that you had shared a bed that night, he profusely apologized for his drunkenness and his forwardness. Unbeknownst to him you did rather enjoy last night, and you stopped his excuses with another non drunken kiss. From there you two grew close bringing both the ranch and your relationship into a new era.
Five years later and you two had fallen into a nice daily routine. You rose with the sun every morning, giving each other a good morning kiss to start the day off right. It was washing up then a nice breakfast made by you to make sure you had plenty of energy to complete your tasks– You to the stables to feed the horses, and Silva to the fields to tend to let the cattle out to graze.
And it was one of those days you found yourself in today. You were inside preparing a quick but filling lunch. You were busy cutting up the fresh batch of bread and meat you bought on your last ride into town that you didn’t hear Silva slip in through the backdoor. It was only when a strong pair of arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you flush with his rugged torso, did you notice his presence.
You sighed and gently caressed his well worked knuckles as he planted soft kisses on your clothed shoulder. Looking over your shoulder with a small smirk. “Well hello to you too.” You chuckled and kissed his bearded cheek, savoring his touch.
“You know I was thinking,” Silva remarked.
“That’s dangerous,” You teased and Silva squeezed your sides sending you into a fit of giggles. “Okay okay I surrender.” Once you got your breath back, you asked. “What were you thinking?”
“Just how safe you’ve made me feel,” He said, leaning his head against yours. A small smile graced his lips.
You grinned softly taking in his affection. “What’s brought all this on?” You asked, turning so you could face your love.
Silva’s rugged hands stayed on your waist gently caressing the material with his thumb. His dark eyes gazed into yours. “Just spending so much time as a hired hand well ya get people comin’ after you. And since you got here I haven't had to shoot for a living.” He reached up one of his hands to cup your cheek.
A heat flushed your cheek and you cupped your hand over his. The heat of his skin fills you with a familiar warmth. “I can’t take all the credit. You put a lot of effort into this ranch making it what it is today.”
“But if it weren’t for ya…well I was about to give up on this place until you rode into my neck of the desert.”
You leaned your cheek into his palm nuzzling against his skin gently. “I guess we found each other at the right time.”
Silva smiled and kissed your forehead, pausing to revel in your touch. “I guess we did.” Time stilled as you took in each other. The lines on Silva’s face, the sprinkle of sun that covered his cheeks and nose, the graying tufts of hair that lined his beard; all of these aspects made Silva, Silva, and together made that man you fell in love with.
The two of you bask in your love, until Silva broke the silence. “Now let's get some food in us, so we can finish that order,” Silva said as he gave your waist a playful couple of taps.
You chuckled and turned back to the cutting board. The sounds of the kitchen continued, slicing and clinking of dishware filling the room. Setting the assembled sandwiches on a serving tray, you brought over the food to the table. Each of you took a slice and began to eat, conversing here and there. Domesticity felt nice with Silva.

Early American Presidential Elections Were Way Different Than They Are Today
It's election season again, boy it sure is. I can tell because I now get daily texts from Joe Biden asking for money which is interesting because I never gave him my phone number and Trump has been sending me enough ads through the mail that it clutters my mail box if I don't empty it more than once a week. So in celebration of this great competition between two philosopher kings and elder statesmen I wish to detail how different presidential elections were in the opening decades of the United States compared to today. And I can tell you, elections back then were totally different, almost unrecognizeable.
First, most people could not vote. Early American elections were not democratic by any means. Of course women couldn't vote, so automatically half the population was ineligible by that fact alone. Also men who belonged to a minority groups couldn't vote. However, if you were a white man, odds were you were still ineligible to vote. All of the states had wealth and property requirements for voting, which made it so that the only men who were eligible to vote were wealthy white males. As a result, until the 1830's only around 2-3% perhaps 5% at most of all people were eligible to vote.
Secondly, you did not directly vote for the president at all. Presidents were not even listed on ballots. When you went to vote, you voted for your state's electors, the presidents weren't even listed on the ballot. In George Washington's diary entry for Jan 7th, 1789 he wrote that he voted for "Doctor Blackburn and Colonel Stuart", who were the electors he voted for in his district. The following is a surviving ticket from the 1789 Maryland Presidential election held by the Smithsonian ...
This was of course if you lived in a state where popular vote was used in presidential elections. According to the US Constitution it's up to the states to determine how electors are chosen. At the time many electors were chosen by state legislatures, or appointed by state governors. In the very first election (1789), only Maryland and Virginia used popular vote to choose electors. Incredibly New York failed to appoint electors altogether! In the next election, (1792), Massachusetts and Pennsylvania tagged on. Gradually other states did the same until by 1830 most states used popular vote to decide elections. The results are goofy looking popular vote maps like this (election of 1796), the gray areas being places where popular vote was not used, or there were not enough wealthy white men to vote.
Today we still use the Electoral College to elect the president, although there is a pretense of direct elections. When voting for president you are actually still voting for your state's electors, but it's generally agreed and expected that if your state's majority votes for a certain candidate, the electors will likewise vote for that candidate. And of course popular vote is used in every state to choose electors, for a state to do otherwise would be a national scandal even though it would be technically constitutional.
Finally, president and vice president were not on the same ticket. Today, for example, if you voted for Joe Biden, you are also voting for Kamala Harris as vice president. Until the passage of the 12th Amendment in 1804 the way it worked was the candidate who was runner up became vice president. So today if we used the same system, Joe Biden would be president, and Donald Trump would be vice president. Likewise in the previous administration, Donald Trump would be president, and Hillary Clinton would be vice president. I suggest we repeal the 12th Amendment.

Oh I forgot one more thing to that bitch ass, dusty ass, scary ass, punk ass anon:
How exhausting it must be to go spending your time looking at people’s blogs who don’t kiss that stuck up bitch’s ass just because she’s associated with Austin. May I suggest you go and find something more productive with your pathetic life? You wanna say we tried to deny that those two were done? I for one knew there was gonna be pap pics thanks to that daily mail article that made a point to say she was celebrating his birthday in a month advance. You people really think shit like that is genuine and makes them the greatest love of all? Okay, Jan. Here’s some advice: Go learn a new hobby or I don’t know go touch some fucking grass or something. Leave us alone and stay on your pathetic side.
Also: Try these nuts, bitch ☺️
You woke up and chose violence today lol
These shippers I do not think will ever comprehend not everyone is going to want to be on board with this relationship and that’s fine.

CELEBRITY | chapter 03
rúben dias x original female character [+18]
SYNOPSIS: The protagonist knows for a fact she'll be famous someday. The way it happens is not as she planned, though. WARNINGS: mentions of e.d.; cyber bullying; minors dni.
|[previous chapter]| — |[masterlist]|
CHAPTER III — THE MOVIE
In the dead of night, the room's only witness is a whispering clock on the wall. Rúben's apartment bathes in a dim glow, a haven for the protagonist seeking refuge. Seated on the edge of the couch, she nervously bites her nails, eyes glued to the floor. Rúben, concerned, offers her a glass of water.
"Thanks." She says, accepting the glass but hesitating to drink.
Rúben takes a seat across from her. "Are you okay?" He finally asks.
The protagonist glances up, the dim light accentuating the lines on her face. “Honestly? No. This is a nightmare. This entire day has been a nightmare.”
Rúben sighs, leaning back in his chair. “This never happened to me before.”
She traces the rim of the water glass with her fingertips, creating a haunting melody against the silence and contemplating her next words. “What do we do now? I mean, I appreciate you standing up for me today, but this…” She gestures to her phone, where the image of them together has taken on a life of its own.
“Addressing it head-on might be our best bet.” Rúben runs a hand through his hair, his expression thoughtful. “But we need to be careful with our words. REDACTED is not happy about it either…”
“Fuck me.” The protagonist winces at the mention of his name. “I just can’t believe the first time I showed up on the Daily Mail was as someone’s affair… No offense.”
“None taken, I guess…”
“My thing with you-know-who, I don’t even want to talk about it, but it wasn’t meant to end up on the fucking news.”
“I get that.” Rúben agrees with a nod. “We can handle this, don’t worry.”
Her eyes drift back to the phone screen, her thoughts drifting off. “They’re calling me ugly, saying I’m not hot enough to be with you.”
“That’s crazy.” Rúben chuckles, a raw sound that echoes in the room. “You’re beautiful, you’re perfect.”
A blush stains the protagonist's cheeks at the compliment. With little else to discuss, she lets the silence stretch and wonder if he knew about her before they met. If REDACTED had mentioned her. Given their friendship, he probably did. He strikes her as the type who likes to brag.
Breaking the silence, Rúben leans forward. "So it's settled!" He taps his thigh. "We'll drop a joint statement tomorrow. You can toss something casual on your socials, and I'll deny it to the press. We are just good friends hanging out."
He extends his hand to seal the deal, and she takes it, shaking it firmly. "Good friends, okay, deal." She says, trying not to linger on the thought of how good his hand feels holding hers. The handshake lasts for a moment longer than necessary, the warmth of their hands intertwining.
"So, good friends it is." Rúben repeats.
She nods, a shy smile escaping her. "Yeah, good friends."
The weight of the day seems to ease for a brief moment and Rúben studies her face for a moment. "You know, for good friends, we haven't really talked much about non-scandalous things. Wanna stick around a little longer?"
The protagonist's eyes wander around Rúben's upscale apartment, taking in the polished surfaces, the sleek furniture, and the air of affluence that permeates the space. "Why the hell not." She mutters, the words escaping her lips like a reluctant confession. The contrast between her world and the opulence surrounding her is stark.
Rúben's place is a bachelor's wet dream. The allure of the high-end decor creates an atmosphere that feels alien yet strangely enticing. They settle in for a movie, the room taking on a different vibe as the screen lights up. Our girl finds a momentary escape in the luxurious cocoon of Rúben's apartment. The movie becomes the backdrop for questions nobody's putting into words, glances that hang in the air, and a dance of doubt that's as clear as mud.
The film rolls on, and the dame starts to wonder if Rúben's moves had a little hint of flirtation. The dim light casts shadows that flicker across his features, leaving the intentions behind his actions shrouded in ambiguity.
As she heads home, the question of whether Rúben's actions were fueled by flirtation or mere camaraderie remains suspended in the silent spaces between reality and perception. The protagonist is now entangled in the enigma of the football player's intentions.
The morning seeps into the protagonist's apartment, casting a muted light on her disheveled bed where she lies, eyes wide open, fixated on the ceiling. Sleep had eluded her, slipping through her grasp like sand.
She pushes herself out of bed, the weight of the day already bearing down on her shoulders. Her appetite has also abandoned her. The comments on her Instagram, calling her "miss piggy" and worse, echo in her mind, suffocating any desire for sustenance.
The protagonist moves mechanically, a ghost in her own home. She glides past the mirror in the hallway, avoiding her own reflection, unwilling to confront the distorted image the world is trying to impose on her.
“I know this isn't the best time, but we need to talk about Sarah.”
Her roommate's voice reaches her, a gentle touch on her arm accompanying the soft words. “She’s moving out soon, and we need another girl. We can’t pay the rent just the two of us.”
“Lily, I can’t even think about this right now. I trust you, just bring in whoever you want.”
A colossal headache clouds the protagonist's thoughts.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, yeah…”
Sinking into her old, worn-out couch, she mechanically types and retypes, attempting to craft the most generic and impersonal Instagram post to dispel the romance rumors. The constant calls from REDACTED interrupt her concentration. Blocking his number seems impossible for now. Since the breakup a week ago, he's found new ways to torment her and be violent towards her. Strangely, she understands and sympathizes with his pain. If she were in his place, she might do the same. The sight of her photo with his teammate plastered everywhere is probably not easy for him.
Suddenly, a notification disrupts her thoughts – a private message from an anonymous account. The message is brief, containing only a cryptic link and the words: "You're not alone in this."
Intrigued and cautious, the protagonist clicks on the link. The screen fills with a blurred video, and her heart sinks as the image becomes clearer. It's a snippet from her confrontation with REDACTED at his house. As she watches, the message from the anonymous sender appears: "More to come. Brace yourself."
A chill runs down her spine, and panic sets in. Who else knows her secrets, and what do they want?

🇺🇸MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND🇺🇸
Unfortunately, today, way too many people look at Memorial Day as a recreational day, simply a later date from school or a settled day from work. Military families and families of countless veterans, on another hand, have been afflicted by the pain and suffering of seeing their brothers, husbands or children set off to war, you start with the American Revolution until today's actions in the Middle East, through the devastating Civil war, into World War I and II, and throughout the Vietnam and Korean Wars. In their mind, Memorial Day is just a day to think on their loss and suffering, and to honor those who have served to guard America's interests.
Saying goodbye to a family member you could at almost no time see again is probably the most devastating feeling a relative may perpetually have, because they only never truly know if that individual is coming back. Their heart skips a defeat everytime that the doorbell rings while their family member is abroad, performing the best duty they'll perpetually perform while they defend justice and the quest for liberty. In the home, though, their family members dread as soon as they open that door, since the pulse quickens and horrible thoughts of a note of imminent loss haunts them. They fear answering the phone. They dread reading their mail. Life itself becomes an apparently endless, helpless watch for news, hopefully good news, but potentially news of the worst possible kind.
For a few people, the lucky ones, they just endure worries of losing a family member in battle for a couple years, but that in and of itself might have long-lasting, life altering ramifications. Worries causes great stress, making families walk on eggshells for entire tours of duty, as children go without their mother or father for long periods of time. For too many, the headlines and the ramifications are worse. They lose a family member to war, or their family member is seriously injured, maimed, or psychologically damaged while they defend our nation and its interests.
Let's not your investment veterans themselves and the sacrifices they've made. We only have to start the headlines to start to see the hardships they face, the daily dangers they deal with, and the horrors they endure. Veterans are and have now been our protectors, our defenders, and often at great cost, even for the survivors of war. War itself is hell, since the famous saying goes, and these many, wonderful men and women have entered hell willingly for centuries to guard the America they love, and to create another for many Americans.
In just about any case you are able to consider, on Memorial Day, these veterans who protect us from dangers abroad, and who've protected us from dangers for centuries, deserve our respect and our remembrance, and yet Memorial Day 2024 Weekend has converted into a cook out once you start the pool for the summer.
"Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished on the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten this is and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Many people no further remember the appropriate flag etiquette for the day."
In days past, great parades were thrown in honor of the wonderful veterans. Cities and townships gave speeches and held Memorial galas. In Israel, even today, to celebrate their Memorial Day, their television lists the names of all of the dead they've lost to war, and that simple process takes all the day. Perhaps we don't need to attend quite that extreme to honor the veterans who've served to guard us, but nonetheless, our ambivalence towards the real meaning behind Memorial Day is just a bit much.
It's high time that people do remember the American veterans which have made Memorial day and those many cook outs and days off that the Holiday now symbolizes possible. This season, we must try to go to a battle memorial, the grave of an expert, or at the least stop in a minute of silence reserved for the numerous who've sacrificed their lives to guard and supply the wonderful lives and opportunities that people have open to us today. This season, we must also honor and remember the numerous sacrifices of the families of veterans and war heroes, because if you believe about any of it, they sacrificed a lot for many of us Americans themselves.… ‿ℒℴνℯ⁀❤️always with ℒℴѵℯ ❤️🕊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good morning RTA
I love you blog i learn a lot about how everything works about rumours and pr. i learn something new everyday. thank you
(Also, i enjoy the messyness with the suxx because they give me the chance to learn from their mistakes haha)
but i want to know if there is a book you can suggest or recommend about communication, PR and/or politics? i want to learn more about that. seeing everything about them and how they play with the media help me to learn in real time And i want to learn more about that.
and if you can give any tips about this topic i will really appreciate
thank you
Ask from August 7th
So I’ve sat on this post for awhile, trying to think of resources to share and unfortunately, anon, I’m coming up blank. I’m going to babble for a bit and hopefully some ideas or recommendations will come to me
I didn’t read any books or get a formal education on this. A lot of what I know about PR and media comes from being online, watching things happen, and a curiosity to dig when things don’t match up or there’s way too much coverage than normal.
I should probably disclose here that I’m a millennial who came of age on the internet in the TMZ/Perez Hilton-Britney/Lindsay/Paris-Bennifer-Brangelina-TomKat era of the mid-00s, which is when celebrity PR as we consider it today started and where I learned a lot about celebrity PR management and media relations. I don’t know if or where an equivalent culture might exist today - I thought maybe Travis and Taylor, but it’s not as lawless, if you will, the way it was back in the 00s.
So first, if you’re in college or you’re working somewhere with a training program, definitely consider taking classes on communications and marketing. You’ll learn a lot there and some of it may be relevant to understanding PR. Particularly with communications, you’ll also want to read up on nonverbal communications (and if you’re working somewhere that gives you free training, you can even do this on work time!) as that’s half the battle with PR, as we see all the time from the Sussexes - if you’re verbally telling one story but your body language and your behavior tells a different one, you got a credibility issue.
I do read a lot of political memoirs and nonfiction so that’s an option too. If you go this way, you’ll have to read from all walks of political affiliation. Meaning if you’re a left-leaning liberal, you need to read books or articles from the right/conservative side and vice versa. The goal here isn’t to change your political beliefs but to recognize media spin. How a liberal sees something will be very different from how a moderate sees it which is different from how a conservative see it, and they’ll all spin the facts differently. If/when you do this, then focus on what’s the same and what’s different in each story.
(To figure out where a media company or publication is in terms of political affiliation, check out this website. It tracks media bias and I find it to be pretty consistent. The tool doesn’t work as well on mobile as it does on desktop - you might have to download an app for mobile access. And also, most of the publications being tracked by the company are English-speaking publications. If that isn’t relevant to you, then definitely consider doing your own research into any media bias oversight in your own country.)
If you have three different stories on the same thing from three different affiliations (say the Daily Mail, who’s very conservative/right-leaning; NPR, who’s close to the center/moderate; and Mother Jones, who’s very liberal/left if politics or CondeNast, Dotdash Meredith and Hearst if entertainment, for example) - the things that are the same in each story are the facts that are most likely to be true and consistent. The things that are different in each story is the PR gamesmanship and the spin.
It’s not always that easy, though, because the tricky part is that modern PR and media relations usually involves sending a press release out en masse to everyone and everyone publishes it. The key to figuring out if that’s what is what’s happening here is to look at who’s publishing and the content. If the stories all use similar or identical language, it’s a widely-distributed press release copypasted to the internet. If the stories are appearing in publications that have the same corporate owner (like Murdoch or Condé Nast, for example) but the language varies, that’s also a widely-distributed press release likely the result of a PR rep’s deal with the corporate company.
Now getting back to the political nonfiction - what I like to do is compare what’s being described in the book with how it was covered by the press. And by doing that, you can usually start picking out what was PR and what was real. I will warn you, it’s not always easy. But it does get easier the more you do this. And it doesn’t even have to be political memoirs. It can be history books. It can be celebrity biographies. It can be magazine articles or newspaper stories. Anything non-fiction where you can compare stories and coverage will work for this.
Specifically for the Sussexes, Plant’s archive is really good, especially in the 2016-2017 time. If/when you have time, go check her archive out and just read through everything. I made a list for Empress once with a bunch of important Plant stories that might help you narrow things down — I’ll dig that up soon and repost it.
If you do want to continue dabbling in Sussex/BRF PR since you’re already aware of that, it may be an easy way to dip your foot into the “PR analysis” pool. The best way to do that is start reading books and comparing what’s written in the books with the narratives you already know and are familiar with. Maybe start with Tom Bower’s Revenge or Valentine Low’s Courtiers (they’re not as sugary).
Oh! I just thought of something! Look up PR experts on social media or influencers who do deep dives into celebrity culture and follow them. The really good ones will explain what they see and walk you through their processes to teach you how to do this yourself.
I quit TikTok a couple months ago but a few accounts I still remember:
Molly McPherson - PR expert and celebrity crisis management.
Jalen - he’s an Aussie lawyer that got big during the Depp-Heard trial for how he covered it. His account is mostly legal coverage but his work on the Depp-Heard trial can teach a lot about celebrity crisis management. I don’t remember his last name but if you google the Depp-Heard trial and TikTok, he’ll probably pop up.
Chris - I don’t remember his name or his account but on TikTok, he does huge deep dives into celebrity scandals and controversies. He did a series on Kelly Clarkson, her ex-husband, and their divorce that went into a lot of great detail on what happened and the PR around it.
I hope this gives you something to start with, anon!
And if anyone else has any resources for the anon to learn about PR and communications, please put them in the comments!

Dan Wootton met young male reality TV stars through his work as a prominent showbusiness journalist and then privately propositioned them to do photo shoots at his home for “underwear brands” in an “abhorrent abuse of power”, Byline Times can reveal. Among those Wootton targeted over an eight-year period between 2011 and 2019 – during which he was working for The Sun, ITV and the Daily Mail – were The Only Way is Essex star Kirk Norcoss, Big Brother contestant JJ Bird, and an X Factor singer who was just out of his teens. Each had first encountered Wootton – today a star presenter on GB News – as a result of their involvement in the television industry, on which it was his highly-paid job to report and through which he enjoyed a powerful media influence. During their interactions, Wootton gave Mr Bird his personal email address – the same email address he uses to this day. Last week, this newspaper revealed that a password connected to that address had been publicly exposed in a 2018 data breach and was identical to passwords, revealed in the same breach, connected to the emails of ‘Martin Branning’ and ‘Maria Joseph’ – two pseudonyms used to harass men to supply sexual imagery. At least one victim claimed to have been coercively controlled by ‘Branning’ for 10 years as a result. Wootton was The Sun’s associate editor in 2016 when he approached the X Factor singer – who has asked not to be named – to pose for a “photo shoot” at his home, which Wootton claimed he had done with a number of other well-known celebrities. The celebrity singer said: “I was there to do a promotional thing with the paper. Dan Wootton was a big deal. Everyone knew he was the most powerful journalist in showbiz.
Another celebrity, whom Byline Times is not identifying, did accept Wootton’s offer. He said: “Dan invited me to do a ‘test shoot’ for some underwear brand for £1,000. I went along thinking it was a semi-pro shoot and might help my career because Dan was, at the time, on ITV’s Lorraine show and working for the biggest papers. The ‘studio’ was just his front room. It felt really awkward, especially as he was so well-known. “There was nobody else there, just us. There was no backdrop or anything like that. Despite Dan telling me it was a shoot for these ‘brands’ he just gave me normal boxer shorts to wear, and I changed into them in his bedroom. “I thought it was all strange but rolled with it. He was so influential I didn’t want to offend him somehow. Then the stuff he was asking me to wear became more and more revealing and alarm bells started to ring. He brought out latex stuff, which I refused to wear. He also asked me to pose nude but I refused to do that too. “The whole situation was weird and was not what I was expecting. Dan refused to pay me the full fee we’d agreed because I wouldn’t go nude. It creeped me out.”
#dan woottton#dan wattpad#i'm gonna go ahead and guess the 2016 contestant was matt terry 😬😬😬#how much do you want to bet cowell was involved in some bs like this too#thanks zot3 you gave me motivation to post more about this <3

Meghan in the nudes: the First Lady of Nigerias speech and some headlines from mainstream media by u/Mickleborough
Meghan in the nudes: the First Lady of Nigeria’s speech, and some headlines from mainstream media As reported in this sub a couple of days ago, Senator. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, made a speech on 25 May at the ‘Celebrating the Woman’ event, marking the first year of her husband’s administration. These words set the tone for her speech: ‘The message here is that we have to salvage our children.’She goes on to say: ‘We don’t accept nakedness in our culture.’The Meghan moment - where she alludes to the Meg is below (with my intepretation, based on logic): ’Even they [Nigerian children / girls] are mimicking and trying to emulate film stars from America. They [American film stars] don’t know where they come from. Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa? That is something we have to take home with us. We know who we are, and don’t lose who you are. God bless you.’ [Speech ends.]In my view, the literal interpretation‘s that the First Lady’s citing Meghan as an example of an American film star who doesn’t know where she comes from (her roots, her identity, sense of self - take your pidk). So - no criticism of Meghan’s flashing her flesh on her recent Nigeria visit. However it’s a logical inference, from the First Lady’s speech, that American film stars who don’t know where they come from flaunt their nakedness. And as Meghan‘s American film star in search of her roots, ergo Meghan goes around naked. In any event, Meghan’s nakedness has made the nudes:https://ift.tt/T6Jfr7y Sun (UK), 26 May.The Daily Mail (UK), 27 May.The Hindustan Times (India), 27 May.https://ift.tt/F5Iwei6 New York Post (US), 27 MayPakistan Today (Pakistan), 27 May.https://ift.tt/bAFxMUy Independent (UK), 28 May.India Today (India), 28 May.NDTV (India), 28 May.Scottish Daily Express (UK), 28 May.Sky News (Australia), 28 May.The Telegraph (UK), 28 May.The last word:Attendees at ‘Celebrating the Woman’.https://ift.tt/3iVuhvy and Meghan at ‘Women in Leadership’.Meghan exercising her Second Amendment right. post link: https://ift.tt/FsuSU15 author: Mickleborough submitted: May 29, 2024 at 10:54PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Green x Harold:
- regarding a Daily Mirror article about Harry getting glandular fever; Harry insists that the article was "highly personal and distressing". Mr Green asks whether he found the same article in the Edinburgh Evening News and The Sun similarly distressing, to which the Duke responds: “I didn't even know there was an Edinburgh Evening News today...I didn't see the [article in the Sun".
- regarding an article about how Harry celebrated his 18th birthday; the Mirror claims that their article was based on an interview Prince Harry gave to the Press Association two days before publication. Harry says he “sees the similarities” between what he said in the interview and quotes from the article.
-Green: "The position then is this - the private information of which you complain in the Daily Mirror article had been revealed by you and then published in other newspapers” Harry: "I see the similarities, of course," but "the timing was suspicious."
- When Harry says there are invoices to Private Investigators around that time, Green replies twice with "so what".
- Mr Green says the information about Prince Harry's appointment as godfather to the children of his former nanny had been published a week prior in the Sunday Telegraph, as had his expected attendance at the christening. "Again I see the similarities...but I don't know how it was all obtained." the Duke responds.
- regarding an article about Harry being selected to lead the military cadets at an Eton parade; Harry says it is "very suspicious" that there is no byline on the Mirror article and refuses to rule out that it was obtained by phone hacking. Mr Green asks him whether the Press Association story revealing the same information was an issue for him, to which he responded that there is no history of phone hacking to obtain stories at PA. "Are you suggesting that just because the Mirror has admitted one incident of phone hacking, that every other article was obtained by phone hacking?" Mr Green then asks the Duke. He responds "no" before going on to tell Mr Green that this particular article caused him no distress.
- Asked if he still maintains the story was obtained illegally despite being shown the press release Harry says "it's a question for my legal team".
- The Duke has been questioned on whether he wrote his witness statement as Mr Green asked the royal if he is "just reading out something that has been drafted by your solicitors for you". Harry replied: "This whole statement was written by me after a series of video calls with my legal team while I was in California". He says it involved "long" calls of two-and-a-half hours each time.
- Green points out that a quote in Mirror article he is claiming damages also appears in Times on same day and asks Harry if he would like to see it, Harry replied 'probably not'. Green says I understand'
- Green points out in Harry's witness statement he said didn't want to meet Paul Burrell but in memoir Spare he wanted to meet Di's former butler. Asked by Green which account was correct Harry said he couldn't remember.
- A story Harry is suing over reporting he would meet Chelsy Davy's parents appeared 24 hours before the Mirror in the Mail on Sunday via an interview with Chelsy's uncle. But Harry tells the court he believes illegal information in story included his flight date being blagged'. He said he finds it 'distressing reading it back today.
- Harry will be cross examined again tomorrow, with Green hoping to be done by lunchtime. He went through 21 of the 33 articles in the Duke's claim.
- The judge told Prince Harry he cannot discuss his evidence with anyone overnight, to which the Prince joked: "Not my children, my lord? I may well be Facetiming them.

Dan Wootton’s Celebrity Targets Revealed
In the eighth part of its three-year special investigation into the private and professional conduct of GB News star Dan Wootton, Byline Times uncovers how the powerful journalist used the pretext of ‘underwear modelling’ to target young reality TV personalities. Here, for the first time, these people in the public eye speak out
Tom Latchem and Dan Evans
9 August 2023
Wootton was on his first day as editor-at-large at the Daily Mail in December 2011 when he approached Big Brother series 11 contestant JJ Bird, then 25, and who is today a boxing trainer having also been a pro-fighter.
Mr Bird, who refused Wootton’s offers, is among the first group of people in the public eye to discuss their interactions with Wootton.
He told Byline Times: “Dan told me he was an amateur photographer and was ‘working with underwear brands’. He invited me to a test shoot at his flat with a fee attached. At that time, I was trying to fund my boxing career and develop my career in entertainment. Dan was a big name in the world of showbiz journalism who had the power to do that – plus anything where I was going to receive payment would obviously have been very useful.
“Looking back now, it was a complete abuse of his power and position and he should not have been offering to do that kind of thing.”
Mr Bird said Wootton contacted him first on Facebook, claiming “[there is] one person who I’m working for at the moment who’s really keen to get you for work”.
In later messages, Wootton changed it to “two people I’m working with”, adding: “It’s just a test shoot so low key. So not for publication. Will still pay obviously.
“Just you in various sportswear/swimwear/underwear which I’ll run by [the man I’m working for] before he decides how to do a full shoot which could be for publication. Just to be certain… could you text or email me a quick shot of you shirtless now. But I’m pretty sure we’ll wanna go ahead now because [we] don’t necessarily need you mega ripped anyway.”
Wootton followed up saying the shoot would be at “mine in E1”, adding that “they also want to know if you will do a couple of… nude shots too because they do a lot of that” and that they “don’t necessarily need your face in”.
Mr Bird declined and told Byline Times: “I wasn’t having any of that.”
‘Test Shoot’ Tactics
Wootton was The Sun’s associate editor in 2016 when he approached the X Factor singer – who has asked not to be named – to pose for a “photo shoot” at his home, which Wootton claimed he had done with a number of other well-known celebrities.
The celebrity singer said: “I was there to do a promotional thing with the paper. Dan Wootton was a big deal. Everyone knew he was the most powerful journalist in showbiz.
“I obviously said no and didn’t ask which celebrities he was referring to [having also claimed to have photographed at his home] as I wasn’t vaguely interested in getting involved. I felt weird, because every prior engagement had been on a professional basis for the newspaper.
“I remember thinking ‘why would that benefit me and what would I get from that?’”
‘It Was the Thrill and Fantasy and Power Dynamic’
In a third case, Dan Wootton approached The Only Way is Essex star Kirk Norcross on his own personal number via WhatsApp, this time on 7 September 2019, and then again on 10 September 2019 at 2am following the TV Choice Awards, which Wootton attended on behalf of The Sun.
“It would be weird for anyone to be messaging me at that time of the morning, but for Dan to be doing it to discuss modelling shoots was extra weird,” said Mr Norcross, who appeared in TOWIE between 2010 and 2013 as well as Celebrity Big Brother in 2012, and Ex on the Beach in 2015.
Again, Wootton’s approach – using his customary greeting of “hey man” – was to make a ‘“modelling” proposition, which Mr Norcross declined.
The masseuse, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “Most kind people would feel sympathy for my [financial] situation – Dan used it as a tactic to try and get me to do something extremely inappropriate. I felt shocked, uneasy.”
Adding that he felt “deliberately targeted” by Wootton because of his looks, the masseuse added that during the client rapport-building process, Wootton spoke about his own job.
Following the publication of the first part of this newspaper’s special investigation, Wootton reached out to Mr Norcross last month to ask him to contribute to a crowdfund – which has stalled at £38,000 on the way to the £150,000 total – to apparently finance legal action against Byline Times after it unmasked Wootton as ‘Martin Branning’ and ‘Maria Joseph’.
“Can you imagine the audacity of asking someone you have targeted in this way to help fund your legal fees?” Mr Norcross said. “It was so desperate. I would encourage anyone who has had an inappropriate interaction with Dan Wootton to come forward and share their story so we can get to know the true scale of these activities.”
Byline Times has uncovered other non-celebrity incidents in which Wootton relied upon the financial power afforded by his profession to enable “extremely inappropriate” behaviour.
In an example from 25 April 2018 Wootton booked a home visit via a reputable agency for a sports massage from a 21-year-old male trainee osteopath. During the visit, the masseuse – a straight man whose photo was advertised on the agency’s website – revealed to Wootton that he was struggling financially to pay his rent in London.
Four minutes after leaving Wootton’s E1 address, the masseuse received a text message from Wootton, but not from Wootton’s own mobile phone number. Instead, the messages appeared to come from a number with a landline code for Royston, Hertfordshire.
The opening message read: “Hey man. Thank you so much for that. Know you just said then re double rent etc. Didn’t want to ask you while still here in case [you were] not interested. But could I potentially get you for some type of extra now? Have a 1000 budget so v v good money. Let me know before you go too far. Thanks.”
When the masseuse said no, stressing that his visit was “strictly professional”, Wootton persisted by offering “modelling work outside of massage”, this time for £2,000 on the basis it would be “totally totally confidential and between us only” with the offer of immediate payment in return for posing for a nude photo shoot.
The masseuse went on: “Around his house he had some signed things and I asked him and he confirmed he was a showbiz journalist, and I looked him up afterwards.”
He added: “Nothing about the appointment itself was at all sinister, so I didn’t expect what came next. I feel my position at the time was taken advantage of. I think for Dan it was the thrill and fantasy and power dynamic. Like ‘I have the money, you’re at my house, and I’m going to test your resolve and to try to take advantage of you’.
“That role was my first experience of working privately and it was the first time anything like this had happened. I’ve always prided myself on being professional and I thought ‘is this what it will always be like?’ I felt vulnerable and exploited.”
‘We Have Serious Safeguarding Concerns’
Byline Times’ latest revelations about Wootton’s private and professional conduct raise questions about safeguarding for The Sun, the Daily Mail and ITV, according to Professor of Media Law at the University of Leeds, Paul Wragg.
“This story raises profound and deeply troubling public interest concerns,” he said. “Underlying it is an abhorrent abuse of power. There is a well-established legal principle that those who hold power – whether in government or in private organisations – must be subject to public scrutiny when their conduct falls so far below the standard expected.
“Here, we have serious safeguarding concerns that demand an explanation from ITV, the Daily Mail and The Sun, as to how one of its employees was able to use the status and charisma of his role to seduce others to bend to his will, to satisfy his own predilections, without consequence.”
Representatives for Dan Wootton did not comment, but this week told the Guardian newspaper that “Wootton did not at any time contact current or former colleagues at The Sun with offers of money in return for sexually explicit images” and “did not engage in inappropriate behaviour in the workplace”.
He has never denied being, or being connected to, Martin Branning or Maria Joseph. But denies all allegations of criminality.
Byline Times asked The Sun, ITV and the Mail whether any safeguarding concerns were raised about Wootton during the course of his employment with them and what, if any, action was taken.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “At ITV, we work very hard to create an inclusive and collaborative culture. We take our responsibility of duty of care for talent and employees very seriously, and have a system of processes, including Speaking Up and a formal grievance process, for any complaints to be raised. Additionally, we would always encourage individuals to come forward and share their experiences via our reporting line SafeCall.
“The duty of care to our staff, freelancers and participants is of utmost importance. We have significantly strengthened the care given to all those who take part in our shows over the past five years. We now believe they are at an industry leading standard for the selection, protection and support of participants.”
A spokesman for dmg media, publisher of the Mail, said: “We are not aware of any safeguarding issues raised in relation to Dan’s period working as a freelance columnist for us.”
This newspaper has information regarding other individuals in the public eye and their interactions with Dan Wootton, which it will be publishing in due course, as part of the second phase of this #MediaToo investigation.
Tom Latchem and Dan Evans are former colleagues of Dan Wootton’s from the News of the World. None of the sources in this investigation have been paid for their testimony

Australian star Oscar Piastri secures best result of his F1 career at British Grand Prix
Aussie F1 gun Oscar Piastri's name chanted by thousands of fans after securing best result of his career at British Grand Prix Oscar Piastri finishes fourth at British GP Result was rookie's best performance yet Fans at Silverstone chanted Piastri's name By James Cooney For Daily Mail Australia Published: 01:39, 10 July 2023 | Updated: 01:39, 10 July 2023 Aussie Formula One rookie Oscar Piastri's name was chanted by thousands of happy fans after a career-best finish at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Max Verstappen became just the fifth driver to win six consecutive races with his victory at the GP, coming in ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton in third. Piastri finished fourth, but seemed destined for a podium finish after sitting behind his teammate Norris for most of the race. The Aussie was overtaken in the pits by Hamilton, who was helped by a safety car deployment that was called following an engine failure to Kevin Magnussen's Haas. Hamilton, on a new set of softs, was too quick for the rookie for the rest of the race and denied him his first career podium finish. Aussie Oscar Piastri came agonisingly close to a first career podium finish at Silverstone 'It's a bittersweet result,' said the 22-year-old Melburnian afterwards. 'That's the best way to describe how I feel. The most pleasing aspect was that we achieved these results on merit. 'I think it's one thing to get these results by lucky incidents, but we were genuinely the second quickest team today, which was a very happy surprise. 'On my side, we were unlucky with the safety car timing with Lewis getting a free stop. But it's nice in some ways to be disappointed with a fourth place, considering where we were at the start of the year.' Norris, who drove superbly and became the first McLaren driver since Hamilton to podium at Silverstone, expressed his disappointment for his teammate. 'He should be sitting here,' said Norris. 'If things went to plan and there wasn't a safety car. So it's a bit of a shame. He deserved his first podium in Formula One. 'I think it would have been amazing for us as Team McLaren and celebrating our 60th anniversary ... and he deserved it. He's been on top form all weekend, he's been pushing me an insane amount. Piastri described the impressive result at Silverstone as 'bitter-sweet' Piastri is very happy about the major strides McLaren have made in recent weeks 'All year he's been good. It's not like he's just turned up here and been strong. He's been good since day one in the car and makes my life tough sometimes. I don't always like it but it's a good thing and makes me a better driver too.' The result left thousands of delighted fans at Silverstone chanting both Norris' and Piastri's names during the post-race interviews. Piastri took to Instagram after the race to sum up his drive, writing: 'Safety car didn’t get the memo. But what a car!' Retired F1 legend Alain Prost replied: 'So proud of you, Oscar! Awesome drive.' Before the race, Piastri's dad, Chris, explained how happy he was for his son's success and described the qualifying session as 'the things that dreams are made of'. 'It's been such a journey, such an effort from everybody involved with Oscar,' he told Speed Cafe. 'After the year off, and finally now it seems like the car's going in the right direction for both the boys – I'm super happy for both Oscar and Lando – this is amazing.'
