Op zaterdag 14 september houdt de Dordtse Elektronica Club vanaf 09:30 uur een Open Dag voor publiek. Deze duurt tot ongeveer 15:00 uur. Onze clubleden zijn die dag bezig met allerlei hobby activiteiten en kunnen er demonstraties en uitleg over geven. Denk aan: – Radioverbinding maken over korte en lang afstand met behulp van de antennes op ons terrein – Ontwikkeling van nieuwe hardware / elektronica / ontwerp van nieuwe circuits – Solderen van bouwpakketjes – Vliegen met drones – Rijden met verschillende soorten radiografisch bestuurbare auto’s op ons terrein – Werken met computers en PLC’s: we hebben toepassingen met linux, raspberry pi en arduino Iedereen is van harte welkom om binnen te lopen en rond te kijken onder het genot van een drankje.

Een programma van deze Open Dag waarin te zien is welke activiteiten hoe laat beschikbaar zijn volgt. Houd hiervoor onze website in de gaten.

I'm participating in Simblreen 2024

Hello everyone!! How are you doing???

Yeah, I know... I was MIA again.... and yes, It was still 'cause of my kittens... as I told you last time, they were sick... they were doing better, but sudenly one of the kittens, the younger one, got worse... I really thought i was going to loose her last week, She looked really haggard... it was three intense days of cares untill she gots better...

Fortunatelly, now they trully are doing it good... the younger is in a strict diet and the other kitten is doing good... the mom is also better, she is fully recovered from her surgery!! And I just wish them to not get sick again 'cause it has been a hell of two stressful months.

As you may know, Simblreen is really special to me... this is the third year I'm participating and I'm really sad 'cause I hadn't the time to finish as much packs as I wanted... I was mad last week 'cause i couldn't finish on time but this week I will be participating... I had 16 packs planned but with no time to sit in my pc to work on them, it was imposible... So there will be less gifts this year... I hope you understand.

In the other hand, yes, I have a few comission packs which I haven't delivered yet, I'm working on them as fast as I can to give them to its corresponding owner but although it may sound bold on my part, I ask for patience. I have not forgotten and I am working on them. I don't usually take this long to finish comissions so trust me, I'm really ashamed but the whole situation with the kittens has been unexpected and I need more than 24 hours a day now to catch up with absolutely everything haha.

 Now, about the event:

This year I won't be doing a treasure hunt... It was funny last two years, but now I have too much info (and packs) to hide the gifts and the candies can be lost in the void XD haha so, this time I'll be doing a simple knocking door for treat or tricks and you will receive a riddle.... if you answer correctly, I'll be giving the link to the pack.

The event starts tomorrow 25th and ends on the 27th but of course, as always, there will be a limited time to have the gift while my porch light is on. However, after the event is finished, I'll be sharing all the packs [FOR FREE, as it should] in my patreon page... But even if I'm sharing the packs after the event ends, I hope you participate on it... I have being working on them nonstop and I'm excited for you to see all the packs I have prepared.

Emmy Predictions: The Day of the Jackal is submitting seven actors for the Emmys.

Eddie Redmayne, who earned Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for his turn as the titular assassin, will be entered in Best Drama Actor. The Oscar and Tony winner has never been nominated for an Emmy before. Lashana Lynch, whose MI6 agent Bianca Pullman spent the whole first season chasing the Jackal, will be entered in Best Drama Actress.

Only three performers will be submitted across both supporting categories: Khalid Abdalla, four-time nominee Charles Dance, and Úrsula Corberó. Abdalla's Ulle Dag Charles was the Jackal's main target in Season 1, whose hit is ordered by Dance's financier Winthrop. Corberó plays Nuria, the Jackal's wife.

As these names are just Peacock's submissions, there's a possibility more performers from the show appear on the ballot as anyone can submit on their own.

The Day of the Jackal, which has been renewed for a second season, had a solid winter run with nominations for Best Drama Series at the Globes and Critics Choice Awards. It also received a drama ensemble nomination, with 14 cast members nominated, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Okay so it's been decided that you guys wanna see my nikobran x devil nights headcanons but before I do let me introduce you guys the Sokolov-King Family ^^

These two are my prime nikobran and how I imagine them so yes these are my babies ^^

Azaliya is the oldest of her siblings she's a lot like her dad Brandon quite a control freak perfectionist but also can let loose when she wants to she enjoys figure skating and always works hard on her crafts unlike her siblings she's not an artistic person she does love singing and has a lovely voice but her passion will always be the ice.

She use to date Jeremy's oldest son but realized she didn't like him and broke up with him

She's overprotective of her siblings especially her younger brother after he went through a traumatic event

She meets Ivarsen Torrance after a prank gone wrong and Ivarsen becomes obsessed with her

Despite being Azaliyas twin Jason is the opposite of his sister hell he's more Niko than Bran and isn't afraid to show it he's a talented painter especially when it comes to landscapes. Unlike his dad he had a passion for it and everyone can see he has a gift for it. He's not afraid to fight and beat the shit out of anyone family included if it means keeping his family safe.

He meets Madden Mori in a underground fight and he definitely follows in his father's footstep when it comes to following people around till they give in and admit they love him

If there's anyone that's a mini Niko it's his second daughter Hunter. Her name came from Niko wanting to honor his father and decided to give her his last name as her first especially when he sees how much she reminds him of both himself and his dad. She's a tough as nails chick and isn't afraid to fight people twice her age. She's overprotective of all her siblings {yes including her older ones} but none more than her twin brother She's a fashion designer and is always making such beautiful clothes loves drawing especially anime characters

She meets Finn Grayson at the library and since meeting her Hunter has never been the same

If Hunter is a mini Niko William is definitely a mini Bran. Niko is overprotective of his youngest children especially since they both remind him to much of his lotus flower. William is a shy thing and rarely talks unless needs to he unfortunately went through a traumatic event that makes him afraid of being touched and can sometimes make him mute. He loves writing and enjoys reading a good book. Hunter his sister is his best friend and he adores her.

He and Fane Torrance meet when William was being picked on by his cousin Fane not knowing that was William's cousin beat him up and made a silent vow to protect the small boy that reminded him of a prince

Birthday: October 31

The youngest Sokolov-King member the one everyone is the most protective of Autumn is known as Nikos and Brans little Blessing and her older siblings agree. They all love her and are extremely overprotective of her. Being a Halloween Baby Autumn loves horror gore and of course anime she especially enjoys creating music dancing and playing instruments. She's playful and has a fun and outgoing personality

When Dag Torrance sees her he thinks she's annoying and doesn't like her but after a while she grows on him and as they get older together Dag realizes that he harbors strong feelings for her and won't let anyone take her away from him

Belshazzar and its Ancient Origins

Emily Dickinson was an American poet who lived from 1830-1886 who wasn't well known until after she died. Since her death, she's been considered one of the most influential poets in American history. She wrote almost 1800 poems, though only 10 of them were published before her death. She was well educated and considered eccentric, spending most of her time in isolation. When she did go out, she tended to wear white and was very unlikely to talk to anyone. Most of her friendships were maintained through letter writing, though most people weren't aware of how prolific a poet she was. She was the middle of three children. Her father encouraged his children to learn, even when he was out of town for business, asking them what they learned, though her mother was described as 'cold and aloof'. She also had a talent for the piano, as noted by her aunt. She had an obsession with death, especially of those she was close to. When she was 14, her second cousin died of typhus, which traumatized her. When she was 15, she attended a religious revival that gave her a sense of peace for a while. She regularly attended services until she was 22, writing that '[s]ome keep the Sabbath going to church - I keep it, staying at Home'. She tended to have influential relationships with older men, including Leonard Humphrey (the principle of Amherst Academy during her last year there), Benjamin Franklin Newton (a friend of the family), and Samuel Bowles (owner and editor of the Springfield Republican). These relationships don't appear to be romantic in nature, but mutual respect and encouragement. Her friends and brother brought her books, including Jane Eyre and the plays of William Shakespeare.

When she was 20, her friend Leonard Humphrey died suddenly, which caused a deep melancholy. During the 1850s, her strongest relationship was with Susan Gilbert, her sister-in-law, resulting in over 300 letters and whom she called 'most beloved friend, influence, muse, and advisor' and '[w]ith the exception of Shakespeare, you have told me more of knowledge than any one living.' In the mid-1850s, her mother became chronically ill, living until 1885. She became more and more home bound until 1858, when she was 25, when she essentially stopped going out at all, partially because someone always needed to be available to her mother and partially to be around for her father and miss her. She took up writing more poetry during this time and began organizing her poetry into forty bundles consisting of nearly 800 poems by 1865, though no one was aware of this work until after she died. Her friendship with Samuel Bowles and his wife Mary encouraged her to write more and he encouraged her to publish a few of her poems without them being attributed to her.

In the late 1860s, Dickinson socially active despite only leaving her home when absolutely necessary. Her dog died after 16 years of life in 1886 and the family servant left the house after marrying. It took three years to find another maid, much of that work falling to Emily to complete. In 1867, she began to talk to visitors through closed doors and became known as 'the woman in white' since she usually wore white when she did go out. Most of the people she exchanged messages with, she didn't see in person during her from about 1871 through to her death. In 1874, her father suffered a stroke and died. In 1875, her mother suffered a stroke and ended up with an impaired memory and partial paralysis. She lived until 1882. Her youngest niece died in 1883. The summer of 1885, Emily complained of 'a great darkness coming'. She collapsed one day while baking and weeks of poor health followed. In the spring, she sent out a lot of letters, her last one thought to be sent to her cousins and reading 'Little Cousins, Called Back. Emily'. Despite promising to burn her poems and letters, her sister, Lavinia, instead preserved and published them.

Belshazzar was likely the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar II and was one of the prince regents of Babylon referred to in the book of Daniel. He overthrew king Labashi-Marduk, allowing his father Nabonidus to take the thrown and for himself to become crown prince in 556 BCE. He was also a prominent business man as well as the head of the household, despite this not being a common role in the royal household. He also didn't have a record of working his way up to the oligarchy, but becoming one 'overnight'. Belshazzar never took the title of king himself despite co-reigning with his father Nabonidus as there aren't any documents that refer to the 'X year of the reign of Belshazzar', though he did receive the remains from offerings, something typically given to the king. During his regency, the Achaemenid Empire under Cyrus the Great was becoming more powerful, starting to threaten Babylon. In the Book of Daniel, which many scholars think is historical fiction written around 160 BCE, Belshazzar is depicted as having a feast and using holy vessels of the Jerusalem temple. A hand appears at the feast and writes out 'mene, mene, tekel, upharsin', predicting the fall of Babylon to Darius the Mede, of whom there is no historical record.

The poem, which is in Part One: Life of the collection introduced by her niece Martha and published in 1924 is eight lines long. It starts with the line 'Belshazzar had a letter,--', referring to the Biblical account of Daniel, but also expands that out to the reader by saying 'In that immortal copy/The conscience of us all'. The seeming simplicity of her writing lends itself to a much deeper reading, if desired by the reader, or it could be a simple reflection on the story found in the Bible.

savner 10-årige christine som var stille, og som, da hendes udadvendte kusine spurgte hvad hendes yndlingssang var, sagde girl on fire af alicia keys <333 og som fik topmodel malebøger i gave og tegnede outfits på topmodellerne med førnævnte kusine<33 tegne i stilhed åhhh. fandt de gamle malebøger frem i mine forældres kælder for nogle dage siden(eller ved ikke, har ingen tidsfornemmmelse), og turde ikke kigge i dem. var bange for at mine drifter som 10-årig havde fået mig til at tegne big boobs og sexy outfits hehe. which is FORBIDDEN! får mig til at tænke på dengang jeg spillede sims 3 på langeland i min friskolevenindes(blev først venner med hende i 7-8. klasse, selvom vi begge gik på skolen fra børnehaveklassen)mors kærestes(nu ægtefælles!) hus, og vi skulle designe simmeren. vi skiftedes til at vælge næse, mund, tøj, ændre på simmerens krop(kom til at skrive sOmmerens krop, hvilket er lidt poetisk, men ved ikke hvad det skal betyde)og så videre. mens hun sad på den kæmpe stationære MAC computer, skulle jeg ligge ned med lukkede øjne, og omvendt. det skulle være en overraskelse for os begge, vi skulle lave denne simmer, dette computermenneske, sammen. jeg lavede megastore bryster på simmeren fordi jeg selv havde små bryster, min veninde derimod, hun ville gerne ændre det, hun lavede brysterne små igen, hun havde selv store bryster, eller i hvert fald større end mine. vi var 14 år. i dag er vi begge 25 år og har ikke rigtig kontakt. hun er forlovet med en fra vores friskoleklasse tror jeg, og jeg er på spd, og øver mig i at elske, også når jeg er sober. elske sober, det må være livsmålet. dømme ingen, ikke dømme sig selv, ikke tro at andre dømmer, det må også være livsmålet. at lade alle fysiske og mentale steder være steder hvor man er uendeligt velkommen.

1. The Great Leslie - These Days (closest to my music taste, unique performance not too similar to something else we already have this year (i think), maybe a bit too british, but could benefit us (britain vote for us))

1. Cage - Golden Hour (vocally the strongest of the evening, could do well with juries)

1. Abor & Tynna - Baller (german, which we haven't done in quite some time; reflects music the german youth likes (like nina chuba); catchy, a banger; think her vocal problems were because of the technical difficulties, because last time she could sing; needs better staging tho)

4. Julika - Empress (good song, she needs a bit more practice to make it really powerful, staging was there i guess)

5. Cosby - I'm Still Here (good song, very bad sound problems (mixing and mic feedback), would love to hear this again, without problems. scared that it reminds me of something i cant quite name)

6. Lyza - Lovers on Mars (i like this, her higher notes are better than her lower ones, very inexperienced tho which could go badly (see jamie-lee))

7. From Fall To Spring - Take The Pain Away (the sound mixing was bad so the song couldn't shine,

8. Leonora - This Bliss (vocals were good, but ultimately too forgettable. jury would give this some points tho)

9. Benjamin Braatz - Like You Love Me (i like the song, liked the one last week better, vocals were good, even with the sound problems, but ultimately wasn't catchy enough)

10. Jonathan Henrich - Golden Child (he can play the piano. but the song is all over the place and not strong enough)

11. Moss Kena - Nothing Can Stop Love (this would do alright with juries, but i don't like it. plus it would drown in the televote)

12. Cloudy June - if jesus saw what we did last night (i do not like her voice live. her studio versions are just fine, but she is not made for a live stage)

13. Feuerschwanz - Knightclub (the version without Dag is very weak, sorry guys, but he carried. chorus is catchy tho)

14. Jaln - Weg von Dir (i envy every person who doesn't understand german, because the lyrics made this so much worse. plus the mustii memorial staging)

Just Keep Baking #28 French Toast Blintz

Sul Sul, gerbits. Today we are going to be making a very different recipe. I combined two different recipes to get this recipe. I made this recipe for my mom, on Mother’s Day. Yes, I went over to her house, and I made this recipe for her. Because she is my mom and I wanted to celebrate it with her. We’re gonna be making French Toast Blintz.

The first thing you are going to want to do is preheat your oven to the lowest it will go. My oven goes to 125℉. You want to have your oven on, that way your breakfast does not get cold. 

Next you are going to be making the filling for the blintz. 

For those of you who do not know, a blintz is basically a crepe, but instead of fruit inside, it has ricotta cheese. For many years, we have had blintz at Easter brunch. But we haven’t been able to have it for the last couple of years. 

To make the filling you are going to mix together the ricotta cheese, melted butter, 1 egg yolk, vanilla and sugar. And mix it together until it is well incorporated. 

Now you are going to turn your griddle on, or your skillet, to a medium heat.

You are going to mix together your French toast mixture. 

For every person that you are making breakfast for you will add 2 eggs to the mix. So if you want to make enough for seven people to have at least two pieces of French toast, then you will need 14 eggs. 

You will need milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. There are no real measurements for this recipe. You just have to eyeball it. 

Once you flip the French toast over, you are going to add 1-2 tablespoons of the blintz mixture to every other one. Because, you are going to place the other one on top, making it a sandwich. 

On a baking sheet, you are going to place the sandwich in the oven. Just to keep it warm.

Once you are done with all of the sandwiches. You can begin serving. Top it with berries and powdered sugar.
