As I am procrastinating and crafting backstories all in one go, I shall share a sheet of questions with you to share or answer yourself.
Past Life Dark Urge Asks - 1st Edition:
Do they miss their adoptive family? Why or why not?
Did they keep anything from their old family and home? A memento or a skill perhaps?
When Sceleritas fetched them from their comfortable home, what did they do on their journeys? Did they take on any jobs?
Do they speak casually or do they try to adorn their speech with frills? Do they maybe even dare to curse?
What was their relationship with Sceleritas like? Did they like their ever-adoring butler or did they try to run from the most wretched mother hen?
Bhaal loves money; did your Durge inherit that trait? Do they enjoy luxuries or try to live a frugal life, giving their all for their temple?
Did they have any connections or companions outside of the local underworld? If so, what were those connections like and if not, why?
What was their relationship with Orin like? Did it change at some point?
What would a typical meeting of the chosen have looked like when your Durge attended?
Gortash seemed to have admired Durge, what did they do to deserve this admiration? Did they have any notable personality traits or did they impress him in some other way?
The other cultists. How did your Durge view them? Did they enjoy their following or did they dread being idolised?
Durge gave a gold coin to a beggar once; why did they do it? Did this occur regularly?
Orin has her faithful group of changelings. Did your Durge have a similar 'personal guard' or task force at their back and call?
Durge famously acted as an assassin in the last decade or so. What was that like? Did they plan everything out meticulously, or did they act spontaneously and on whims?
Bhaal handcrafted Durge. Do they enjoy and worship their appearance, or did they have a rebellious phase, trying their best to change their Lord Father's grand design?

1, 2, and 3! for the durgetash asks :> (for all your durges)
hehe tysm for the asks!! answering these for anyone who’d like to know more abt my murderbabies >:)
1. What’s durges creation myth? Not the ‘and then there was a gore baby’. Give me the details, what did Bhaal actually do for Durge to torment Toril in a few years?
ill be honest i havent thought about this one enough to provide an actual answer so im gonna update this post once i’ve figured it out! 😭
2. Did Bhaal always have a plan for Durge to just eradicate all life or did he have a different plan before his death and revival? What exactly did the lord of murder have in mind when creating that particular spawn?
i’m not sure about cerys and saber tbh but with cassius i think bhaal’s goal was to just have like. a clone/avatar of himself on toril, someone unapologetically murderous and hedonistic and he actually achieved that for a while!! cassius was everything father dearest needed him to be, “the purest bhaalspawn there ever was”. that was until gort came along ofc :) gortash nurtured the ‘tumor’ that was cassius’ own personhood, showing him he need not do everything in his father’s name - he can be his own person, which in turn caused cassius’ fall from grace
3. Was kid Durge a usual child before the Urge awakened, or were there some signs indicating something was off about the kid? How did the environment react to them?
cassius — i’d say out all 3 of my durges cassius would probably take the crown for having the strongest “what the fuck is that thing” vibes lmaoo 😭 even if he didn’t look that much different from a regular tiefling (atleast to the dwarves’ knowledge) he definitely looked like an outcast in his foster family, and acted like one too. he lacked the tight-knit familial bonds that his dwarven foster parents and sister had, and really struggled with things like empathy, selfishness and emotional control. essentially it was like a (cannibalistic) cuckoo bird situation, they took care of this strange tiefling child that someone (sceleritas) dropped on their doorstep one day until he got so unsatiable he killed & ate all of them :,)
cerys — truth be told cerys was already a very impulsive, chaotic child so it would be kind of difficult to tell which parts of her behavior were influenced by bhaal and which were just cerys being cerys. her caretakers hoped she would grow out of it eventually - she wasn’t a bad kid, after all, just a little.. odd :) however, as she got older, her then-harmless antics grew into more alarming stuff, like sleepwalking towards knives, having recurring night terrors, hurting small animals for shits n giggles and so on. it also probably didnt help that she didn’t have the typical coloration of a tiefling, marking her as the black sheep in her community
saber — personality-wise saber was a pretty normal kid for the most part (if a little quiet/withdrawn, but that’s just what she’s like) so there was nothing too out of the ordinary regarding her behavior, but her looks did kind of set her apart from other drow children; saber doesn’t have the dainty, cat-like features typical for an elf, and seemed to loom over other children her age (which hasnt changed, she still towers over most people) so anyone but especially other, actual elves could sense there was something Off yet were unable to put their finger on exactly what it was abt her that creeped them out

Write some words for big sister!Rhaenys verse! :D
It was an extravagant tea party that had been prepared at her daughter’s exacting direction, but the result was impressive for an eight-year-old. Her small retinue of young maids, themselves ranging in age from six to ten, lounged primly upon the couches and chairs in the queen’s solar, which had been kindly surrendered by the queen for the event.
Jocelyn exchanged a smile with Alyssa. They were the only grown ladies allowed, here to supervise their infant sons, whose presence had been mandated by Rhaenys.
Aerion and Valerion sat to either side of her daughter, dutifully eating the spoonfuls of food that she fed to them. They were better mannered than dolls, at times, which only ever encouraged Rhaenys’s favorite game of pretend, which was that they were her babies.
Daemon, meanwhile, was wailing his displeasure as the eldest of the young maids, Cyrena Massey, tried to offer him a bottle. His little fists opened and closed as they reached for his mother, seated some ten feet away.

Don’t get me started on the daemon scenes that were cut. Both in the books and tv show he loves his girls and his boys with Nyra and I’m sure loves her older boys too they just took all that out making fans think he is just blood thirsty and wants power
Sorry for not replying earlier, college is kicking my ass 😭😭
But yes I agree completely, Daemon loves his children, that's for sure.
I'm also sure he cared for Nyra's olders boys as well. We don't really see it in the show but I'm sure they looked up to him.
I really hope we get some nice scenes of Daemon with his kids in the new season. Like any scene. Pls.
Maybe he gives Rhaena or Baela a pep talk or something. Maybe he plays with Vis or Aegon or he just holds them in his arms.
I know he loves his kids, hbo give us what we want! 😤😤

Not to be a Daemon defender (I hate him), but to be fair, Willem did NOT do what he was told. Daemon said to do this without associating his actions with the crown, and Willem still decides to fly Rhaenyra’s banners while destroying villages, which is what has caused all these problems for Daemon now. Honestly kind of understandable that he’d kill him.
It’s okay to defend Daemon to me. I am a Daemon apologist (I know I can’t help it).
I’ll have to go back and rewatch that scene, but I think you’re right. Daemon said something like “there are some things the crown can’t do” and Willem was like “I got you bro.”
And then did those very actions flying Rhaenyra’s banners. I still think it would’ve been better to send him to the Wall.
I feel like HOTD and GOT don’t do that enough. The Wall sucks. It’s a punishment in its own right. If they desert they’re dead anyway so might as well give them a chance to do something decent before cutting off heads.

32 - Message of a Dragon
Tumblr media
Part 33
The Lion Knight and Dragon Princess
Tags- just send an ask to be added @cdragons @kmc1989 @starkleila @noirrose21-blog @lover-of-books-and-tea
Thunder roared through the dark halls of whatever castle I had found myself in. My hair was loosely flowing down my back with me in a red gown and some dragon rider boots. Slowly scanning the large room around me there was a burning fire going in the fireplace and a large round table seated into the middle of the room. “What is this place?”
“Harrenhal, little princess.” Whipping my head around it took me a second before my gaze landed on a man standing by the burning fireplace that I apparently hadn’t seen when I was looking over there moments ago.
Knitting my brows at the stranger he looked very much like a Targaryen. Short silver white hair and bright purple eyes focused on me. “Who are you? What house did you belong to, my lord?”
“I’m not some fucking lord, princess. I am a dragon prince. Daemon Targaryen.” He flashed me a wicked smirk across his lips.
Parting my lips I recalled the name from the many books that I’d been taught to read. He married his niece Rhaenyra who went to war with her half brother over the throne but was brutally murdered according to the written histories. “Why am I seeing you now, Daemon? This is a dream for certain so it must mean something of importance.”
“Most people didn’t care for my bluntness but that is what you need to hear as of late.”
Moving around the round table I stand a few feet away from him in front of the fireplace. “And what is it you feel you must tell me?”
“I see who you really are.” Daemon answered my question.
Moving my arms over my chest I raised my chin upright meeting his gaze. “Who am I really in your eyes then, Daemon?”
“You’re acting like a foolish flower. The blood of the dragon runs through your veins and yet you’re pretending to be someone you’re not.” He explained glaring at me for quite some time.
I scoffed back at him. “I refuse to use dragons to take our families throne back from Cersei-“
“How do you think we took it in the first place?” The long dead dragon man rested a hand on his sword attached to his hip.
I snorted out a laugh. “Dreams-“
“Dreams didn’t make us Kings. Dragons did.” He sharply cut me off wrapping one hand around my throat slightly choking me where I grabbed onto his wrist attempting to fight against his grasp.
I gasped for air staring into his dark purple eyes. “Daemon - I - I won’t kill people for it.”
“So if I attempt to kill you right now. You’re saying you wouldn’t fight back.” He teased me pressing his nails deeper into my throat, cutting my air supply.
One of my hands remained wrapped around his wrist holding my throat. With my other hand maneuvering downward to his sword handle where I drew it and shoved his body backwards. “What’s so funny about any of this?” He began launching dryly at me, stumbling against the stone wall.
“I am right about you, little princess. You can pretend to be a delicate lion wife but deep down you’ll always be a fiery dragon inside.”
Tightening my grip around the blade handle I growled. “So you've wished to insult me, good job. Is there anything else you wish to tell me?”
“You expect I'm simply going to tell you something without having a little fun for myself at that time.” Daemon cocked his head to the side.
A sudden gssp escaped my lips when he tugged the side of my gown he could reach and twirled me into his embrace. “Daemon-” The sword in my hands clanked to the floor, my back pressing to his front and his lips up against my ear.
“Sssh Vaella ssshh. Life's expectations don’t stop us completely from doing what we want.” He nuzzles his nose into the crook of my neck.
Placing my hands on his that were wrapped around my waist holding me against his chest I released a breath I didn't know I was holding. “What do you want to do then?”
“I want you to be a Dragon.”
I muttered back a reply. “I am a Dragon.”
“Yes but you need to act more like one. A dragon needs to claim the throne, do you understand me?”
Shaking in his arms I did my best to focus on what he was telling me. “How do you want me to do that?”
“Take the throne the way you know has worked. Take the Iron Throne you know a Targaryen would.” The dead dragon Prince whispered in my ear before disappearing, leaving me standing alone in the rumored haunted halls of Harrenhal.
A gasp left my lips once I had shot upright from laying in my bed peacefully sleeping until I was awoken from the dream. My hair was tousled about and my hands clutching the soft silk sheets under them. I flinched feeling a hand touching my shoulder where I whipped my head around quickly. “Vae , woah, woah, it’s just me. It’s Jaime.”
“J - Jaime. Is it really you?” I croaked out in fear, still believing I was inside that abandoned castle with a dead Targaryen prince.
Jaime takes one of my hands in his real one, bringing it to his lips, kissing it gently. “I'm real, Vaella. I'm real. Do you want to talk about it?”
“I saw Daemon Targaryen - I saw the Rogue Prince who married Rhaenyra, the Black Queen they called her.” Hugging my knees to my chest feeling my hair falling in front of my face. Struggling to tell him exactly what I saw and not come off as crazy. “We were talking in Harrenhal and he called me a coward. He said that I wasn’t truly being a dragon like I was born.”
My husband shook his head at my words. “You're not weak because you don't want to take Kings Landing with fire and blood just to sit on a chair of swords.”
“Clearly my dead ancestors think otherwise.” Barley lifting my head up from being bearded in between my knees I sniffed through some tears. “Apparently me believing in White Walkers and wanting to help Jon Snow isn’t what my destiny is supposed to be.”
Jaime tucked hair behind my ear. “Fuck destiny. You’ve lived your entire life trapped in one way or another. Do what you want to do, that's what your mother did the first time I saw her bruises.”
“I thought the first time you saw her bruises was with me.”
He lowered his gaze down to his right hand stump avoiding my gaze when he began explaining. “It was before we had actually met. Aerys sent me to keep watch over your mother and your brother Viserys who was only an infant. “
“Around the time of the great tournament where my brother gave Lyanna a crown of roses.”
He slowly nodded his head yes. “She had been told by many other Kingsguard that she couldn’t hold her own son because Aerys feared she would hurt his son. She asked only one thing of me “bring me my son. I wish to hold my child” she said to me. And I did and never told anyone until this moment.”
“You did what was right regardless of the circumstances. That’s how we have to be now…When dead people come for us all in the night it doesn't matter who sits on the Iron Throne.” I muttered under my breath staring deeply at Aegon’s dagger laying on the table across the room.
Jaime asked, noticing where I was looking at. “What are we going to do, my Queen?”
“We stand behind Jon Snow and face the White Walkers. If my sister wants that throne then she must follow and protect the entire realm.” Tossing the covers aside I slipped on a thin cloak simply wearing a thin nightgown heading over to the table with the dagger.
Jaime held himself by his elbow on one of the pillows. “Where are you going, Vaella?”
“I’m going to educate my little sister.” Snatching the dagger off the table I stomped over to the door, throwing it opened where it made a bang against the stone. My sister needed to be taught a lesson before she got us in a war with the Northerners and Cersei Lannister at the same time.

daemon
Ok for book daemon this has been my biggest gripe since 2018 but like when George says he's "equal parts light and dark" like is the lightness in the room with us rn? Because from what I can see the only good un-self interested thing he does in Fire and Blood is let Nettles escape.
As someone who's got like 4 year old AUs going in my head i understand that there's probably a lot of daemon backstory happening in GRRMs mind but imo it failed to translate to the page. Like what makes Daemon have equal parts light?? His martial prowess? Plenty of shitty people in the books are martially inclined (Randyll Tarly as an example). We don't even really get to see him be a good loving father in the books which could have also gone a way to demonstrating that Daemon isn't just a giant asshole who's charming and handsome and good with a sword.
For show Daemon I think everyone and their dog knows how i feel about him getting prophecypilled in the last ep of s2 (welcome back John Calvin) so I'm going to go with another criticism: I don't like that they made his love for his brother outweigh his ambition. From my reading of the books I don't think Daemon is that kind of person specifically wrt Viserys and at the late stage of Viserys life 100% no. I think another type of person could have inspired that loyalty out of him but not Viserys. Or maybe Viserys when he was younger and more promising could have inspired that.
Then again ik adaptational changes need to me made and overall i do like the Daemon/Viserys show relationship so I'm willing to overlook it

30 Days of Daemonism - REVISED
1) Your daemon's name and meaning/origin?
2) Do you have more than one dae, and what do you think of having more than one?
3) Your daemon's favorite/personal/comfort form(s), and yours? Are they the same or not?
4) What is your symbolic/Pullman form? If you don't follow the TDF systems, make something like art, writing, or a moodboard instead!
5) What is your analytical form? If you don't follow the TDF systems, make something like art, writing, or a moodboard instead!
6) How does having a dae help you, and do you do anything beneficial for your dae?
7) What are your dae's favorite aesthetics, and how do they compare to yours?
8) What is your relationship with your dae? Do you get along, do you fight sometimes?
9) How often and how clearly do you project them onto the physical world around you?
10) What is your dae's voice like?
11) Describe your friends who are also daemians (a person who has a daemon)! Or, if you have none: what do you and your dae like to do together, and what do you both hate?
12) If you're alterhuman, how does being a daemian interact with your kintype identities? Or, if you're not alterhuman: do you see your dae in your dreams/nightmares?
13) Do you own any items that remind you of or directly represent your dae?
14) What is your best memory involving your dae?
15) Does anyone IRL know about your dae or daemonism? What do they think about it?
16) If you've read the HDM books, who's your favorite character and why? If you have not, do you ever plan on reading them, and if not then why?
17) Are your personal rules/headcanons for how daemons work different than canon HDM? If you haven't enough knowledge of HDM to know, then make art, writing, or a moodboard instead!
18) Would you live in a world where everyone's daemon was corporeal, including yours?
19) If you are religious or spiritual, does your dae come into that? Or, if you aren't: do you see your dae as essentially a more "solid" imaginary friend?
20) A question for your dae: what do you think of your other half?
21) How are you different from your dae in personality?
22) How long has your dae been in your life? For years, or less than that?
23) If you are plural, how does your dae interact with your headmates? Do you consider them another headmate or as a part of yourself, making one individual together? Or, if you aren't plural: has your dae ever disappeared from your mindspace for a long time, and if so, why? I know some daemians who've lost their dae for whatever reason and had to replace them with a new one.
24) Question for your dae: how do you interact with the world, with or without being actively projected by your other half?
25) How did you discover daemonism? The HDM books, the online communities, the Golden Compass film, or the BBC show?
26) An extension of the previous question: was it challenging to begin communicating with your dae, and is it easier now?
27) Are there any forms you and-or your dae absolutely loathe?
28) Does your dae(s) have a human or humanoid form? A form that's an extinct animal or mythical/fictional?
29) A question for your dae: what is your favorite place in the mindspace or the physical world?
30) Free day! Have fun, whatever you choose to do!

Fuck it imma force those who remain to interact with each other again.
Past Life asks, except it's Durgetash
Who realised first that this strictly business relationship stopped being so strict and solely about business?
Did they ever meet or see each other before Gortash attempted to find the Chosen of Bhaal?
What did Durge think of the little wannabe Tyrant at the beginning? Someone competent or someone who tries really quite hard?
Did the Banite and Bhaalist culture exchange really happen and what did it look like?
Their favourite 'strictly business associates' bonding activity on a Saturday night? Please don't leave out any of the bloody gory details.
Describe their dynamic in one sentence. Without using toxic.
Somehow we all hc that Durge and Gortash attended some kind of Patriar function together. What was the thing they showed up to really and how did it go? How many deaths did he have to promise Durge for them to agree?
Both Gortash and Durge are sadistic little gremlins, so when it comes down to it, who's better at torture? And did they make a competition out of it?
The Steelwatch Foundry. Did they ever visit it together, what was it like? How many people died afterwards and how many of them were banites?
Did the tyrant ever try to impress the serial killing godling and exact how horrible did it end for him? What sorta things did he do solely for 'the sake of cooperation' with glaringly obvious ulterior motives?
Ask prev when u reblog, be nice, this isn't strictly romantic, bla bla bla yk what I usually put here. Basically, have fun, go wild, save a fading fandom or smth

6 and 9 from the most recent durge asks? For all three obviously >:3c
AHH tysm for the ask :)) i had lots of fun thinking about the answers hehe <3 (answering these asks for anyone interested in my murderbabies)
6. How did they actually learn their craft/class? Was it before or after becoming Bhaal’s chosen? Did they study it under someone? Did they have a natural talent?
cerys — well, she’s a rogue/circle of the moon druid multiclass, so she learned to steal & blend into the crowd as a child out on the streets, while her druidic powers were a natural talent – she first discovered them when she got lost in the forest as a little kid, and made her way back home with the help of a bird :) afterwards, she’d go on to experiment with her powers and learn spells intuitively, the way a sorcerer would. she lost touch with her druidic magic after getting tadpoled however, and only recovered it with the guidance of halsin & jaheira, who both felt a spark of it within her, despite her firm insistence otherwise.
cassius — cassius is an assassin rogue with a few levels of fighter, so, like cerys, he first learned to steal as a poor kid in the streets of baldurs gate and then honed those skills at the temple of bhaal, where orin, then excited to have a sibling to share her talents with, taught him the precise, murderous art of being a rogue. sarevok, on the other hand, through relentless training (that definitely wasn’t intended to just kill him) taught him endurance and spread his fighting horizons to duelling, not just ambush from the shadows.
saber — saber, upon hearing the whispers of bhaal & (regrettably) killing her foster family in the underdark as a teen, ran away from home and began to wander upside, pursuing less-travelled paths at the edge of wilderness until she stumbled upon a monastery. there, seeking to find balance within herself and a way to control these urges, saber became a way of the shadow monk, before, of course, slaughtering the entire place :) finally giving in, saber let her instincts lead her to the temple of bhaal in baldur’s gate, but felt no need to change her class, since her hands proved to be a useful enough weapon.
9. Bhaalists are surprisingly skilled with a wide range of weapons. Which one was your Durge’s favourite? Did they use it often or did they use something else for their ‘regular’ schedule?
cassius — he prefers using his body as a weapon, actually! even when not transformed, cassius’ tail resembles that of a slayer’s, which is spiked and pretty heavy, so it packs quite the punch! and his teeth & claws of course, but if none of those are an option he prefers daggers or flails, depending on if the goal is to murder someone or just torture them.
cerys — cerys prefers light, one-handed weapons like daggers and sickles so that she can have one in each hand and also really, really likes enchanted/magic weapons (shiny... 👁️👁️). huge bonus if they’re engraved or have a nice shape like bloodthirst or stillmaker, she enjoys anything with a unique design/personalized (gortash will use this information for evil). unlike cassius, cerys will only lash out with her claws & teeth if given no other choice, or if possessed by the urge.
saber — as a monk, she mostly fights with her fists but she’ll use a longsword or a spear ocassionally! saber likes a weapon that will allow her to keep a fair distance between her and the victim/enemy, so up-close and personal weapons like daggers are not her favourite.

Just had another idea set in Rescue au - scene where Viserys is told that his brother and nephews were kidnapped
This is technically set slightly later in the mad scramble after the kidnapping, but still near enough for emotions to be fraught.
x~x~x
He should have had a dozen household knights with him.
His frustration was as much for himself as Daemon. Viserys knew his brother’s pride; of course he would assume that he alone could guard his children, or even that none would dare touch a Targaryen with his dragon so near.
This is the very fool who brought my daughter, heir to the Iron Throne, into Flea Bottom, unescorted.
But his brother had told him of his excursions into the city, seeking trinkets to delight his sons, and his plans to take them himself to enjoy the sights. It was the side of Daemon that he most enjoyed: the furnace of his brother’s love, directed at those he most cherished. It was their father and mother both, who had loved with the entirety of their being.
Viserys had known that those ventures were unescorted, and still he had not insisted on bestowing a shield upon him, or that at least one knight accompany them.
“Still no word?”
The last he had been told was that his brother and nephews had been seen on the Street of Kings, where they had stopped at a tavern and a goldsmith’s, before Rhaegar had apparently chosen to join a street singer in song.
Ser Gustan gave a bow of his ash-grey head, breath escaping with a heaviness that suggested he had made great haste to the chamber. “One of my gold cloaks reported seeing them in River Row, near the fire in the market.” The Lord Commander hesitated. “A woman was found with her throat slit, a tinkerer in a nearby stall. The prince and his sons had been speaking to her.”
“When?” Viserys demanded.
“Around the time of the fire, Your Grace, just past midday.” The knight then added what seemed plain now. “Likely it was meant as a distraction.”
Eight hours ago, and no sign of them since. The harbor had been locked down, all ships ordered to remain in port, but several hours had passed between the likely kidnapping and a servant raising the alarm that Daemon had not returned with his sons. More than enough time for a ship to sail, or a wagon to slip out of one of the many city gates.
Rhaenyra and Laenor were already sweeping the bay on dragonback, and Viserys had dispatched men along the kingsroad.
Caraxes, the Dragonkeepers had reported, had been visibly agitated for a brief time, then fallen into lethargy. Lethargy, not mourning. When their uncle had fallen on Tarth, his mount had set the hills aflame and then fled to the mountains south of the kingswood. Once he had exacted his vengeance, their father had taken Daemon on Vhagar in search of the dragon, and his brother had returned to King’s Landing a dragonrider.
No, if his brother were dead, then surely his body would have been found, and there had been no trace of the boys either. Kidnapped, but by whom, and why? Triarchy, seeking vengeance for Daemon’s victories at the Stepstones? Outlaws seizing an opportunity?
There was no telling unless their searching yielded clues, or an offer for ransom came.
For the first time in many years, Viserys regretted not having a dragon of his own. Father would have gone in search himself, had our uncle disappeared. And their grandfather would have threatened fiery ruin upon the city those responsible called home.
“I want a raven sent to Driftmark,” he said, turning to Mellos. “My cousin and her daughter have dragons to aid in the search.” With the Velaryon fleet still tied up in the Stepstones, their options for monitoring the seas would be limited. “And I want every lord within the Crownlands and Stormlands to send men out in search.”
He dismissed Ser Gustan to resume his coordination of the efforts within and in the surrounds of the city. One by one, the small council chamber emptied, until Viserys was alone with his Kingsguard. He found himself sorely missing his Hand’s guidance, but in his fury over Otto’s suggestion that Daemon might have slipped away with his sons by choice, he had banished the man from his sight.
Supper was brought to him at last, but his appetite, rarely great, was utterly absent. After their long estrangement, he had finally regained his brother’s company, along with two unexpected nephews who had quickly stolen his heart. Daemon had seemed settled, his prodigious energy channeled into his sons rather than childish rebellion. Viserys had found himself drawn to more family suppers, or lured from his chamber by Daemon’s temptations of fresh air.
We were to go flying.
Viserys had not been on dragonback in nearly a decade. The last time, Daemon had talked him into a trip to the Giant’s Toe, declaring it a name day gift.
Viserys had sent him away again and again, always with the knowledge that he could recall him, should he desire. Those long years felt wasted now, squandered to soothe his own hurts.
He stared into his cup, and could almost feel his father’s eyes upon him, heavy with the sorrow of his last years. Where is your brother, Viserys?

Are you struggling with an existential crisis? Go as Alys! I think she'll know (how to help).
This video highlights the magic of Alys Rivers and her home, Harrenhal.  Alys Rivers is a mysterious figure from George R R Martin's book "Fire and Blood," and the earlier short story, "The Princess and the Queen," adapted into the hit HBO Max series "House of the Dragon," prequels to "Game of Thrones" and "A Song of Ice and Fire."
She is a woodswitch, a healer, a skinchanger, possibly even a greenseer. She inhabits the castle Harrenhal, on the shores of the Crater Lake, the God's Eye. The god's Eye, with the Isle of Faces at its center, home to the Green Men and the largest Weirwood grove in Westeros, is a nexus of magic. The castle is reportedly cursed, likely at the behest of the Old Gods that inhabit the Weirwood trees, and their green men protectors.
It was built by Harren the black upon a site of destroyed Weirwoods in defiance of the Old Gods. Some say, part of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" prophecy that led the castle to be ruined by Aegon the conqueror was a dream sent to him by the old Gods to stop Harren and his path of destruction.
The music in this video is my cover with the vocal talents of Alexandra (see the Aryandmershow YT channel) of "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane," written by their singer, Grace Slick. Alys Rivers is too perfect a fit to Slick's haunting lyrics.

The fact Alys killed FOR Daemon. Probably the most romantic thing someone has done for him, lmao. I hope they have sex and she does get pregnant with Daemon’s child, FINALLY someone who match his freak (you’d never hear the end of it from some quarters if Daemon did, the same people who are championing Rhaenyra cheating).
But seriously, Daemon asking Alys for help, her actually helping him and the last hallucination she gives him is that of reconciliation with his brother… I’m still processing this and what it’ll mean down the line. I need to know her motives because it can’t just be helping out Daemon ?? She calls them both chess pieces at the hands of larger forces… How far into the future has she seen ?
Besides that point she knows how Daemon dies, she told him “he’ll die in this place”, so why does she even help him ? And what about Aemond ? Like I wonder what the end goal is for her. Since she will know Aemond dies, imagine she doesn’t warn him about it when she met him which will be 100% funny.
First, this is nothing against you anon. But I don't take HotD's writing and characters at face value or value them bc I believe much of HotD's writng is superficial and too contradictory for that. Even without considering how they have made it so much easier to hate and misunderstand several F&B characters, general ASoIaF lore, etc., enough for people to think this war wasn't as anti-woman-leader focused as it was bc the showrunners have blatantly said they wish to make this more about "both teams bad, Targs are uniquely selfish".
Answer: (in case you weren't being facetious) Sorry, nothing is ever going to beat for me Alys getting impregnated by the craziest bitch of the greens, aka, anti bastard team. Other than that, show!Alys is not doing for Daemon but for the Riverland smallfolk, so yeah she doesn't care for Grover Tully that much. I believe she's meant to parallel Mysaria in HotD's endless love for "parallels".
I don't think the writers know what her end goal is, bc even this is not all that clear in the book as she disappears from history with her son. And I don't think that she has much to anticipate since unless HotD is trying to say that Jojen Reed was Alys' descendant, how did a Targ father contribute to any of Jojen or Meera's abilities in GoT or ASoIaF? Nah, this storyline is weird & jumbled.
As for Daemon asking for help, I think this is the "toxic-man-learns-he's-not-that-special-and-asks-for-a-woman's-help-to-raise-women's-importance" arc HotD has out for him in this season. An unnecessary one that contradicts the first one--and no 1x10 was bullshit esp the choking scene, so 🤷🏿‍♂️.
Finally, I don't blame some people having issue if Daemon did cheat with Alys bc if they are, like you, trying to enjoy HotD for its own thing and in this iteration of Daemon, he did choke Rhaenyra out. So yeah, he has less of a high horse if he did cheat. Other people's dislike for Daemon cheating may rather just come from their misunderstanding of his character, book or show, so they don't count.

There’s so many bad writing choices so far I’m so scared for Nettles and Rhaena honestly
I heard people are mad as hell but oh well for them
You know season 1 had soooo many questionable things happening and most of the show watchers decided to have no problem with it. Kinda reminds me of GOT season 7, it had issues and everyone just kept supporting and when the issues moved into the next season they acted shocked like they didn’t see it coming. If the writers had working brain cells they would stop heavily altering Fire and Blood for all the characters. I don’t understand how experienced writers in the industry confuse expanding characters past vague historical text and just outright making stuff up. There is no issue with them keeping Rhaena in the Vale and keeping Nettles the exact way she’s written because shes actually one of the few characters that are more detailed.
If they actually have Rhaena claim Sheepstealer, since she’s basically never on screen I don’t expect them to do anything with her this season. (Assuming nettles doesn’t secretly have a cameo) They’re already getting backlash, negative reviews, and lower views so I know this time they will listen to criticism. The only way they can fix the crap they wrote is to have Sheepstealer fly off and get claimed by Nettles within the first two episodes of season 3 and move her story along from there. Her claiming a dragon that’s already “claimed” at least somewhat still works for her because it can be questioned how she was able to get a dragon outside of her not having Valyrian features. I would actually have Daemon learn Rhaena had the dragon but lost it so he can be very intrigued how some random girl just snatched a dragon from his daughter and that’s how they meet. The battle of the gullet is not even happening in S2 apparently so they still have time to introduce and still have her everywhere she needs to be.
Honestly if I was hired to write that’s what I would do. Because the leak didn’t say Rhaena is feeding the dragon, the dragon is eating sheep and feeding itself like it usually does. If he leaves the Vale or whatever because he’s wild and he suddenly doesn’t have access to sheep because the other dragons have been eating everything up, then I would have Nettles “take” him by claiming him how she canonically does, and she feeds him sheep when he’s hungry. They clearly don’t care about dragon lore so I don’t care either lmfao. If Laenor can live then Sheepstealer can also be claimed but get a new rider. If they kill off Sheepstealer this season somehow I would retcon some stuff and have Nettles claim Cannibal and have some theory that he likes her because she’s not a Targaryen - there’s actually a fan theory that Cannibal doesn’t like Targaryens which is why he keeps eating their dragons 😂 I know that’s very out of field but it is what it is. Literally that’s how far I would go to add Nettles to the show. Of course then Rhaena would hatch Morning right after Moondancer dies which is the purpose of the whole thing. Idk how they could it’s the night/morning thing it’s very obvious and I’m the name. Also apparently Ryan Condal is telling people everything negative written about Rhaenyra was propaganda, and I’m like……everything?? They need new writers. It’s pretty easy to tell when reading Fire and Blood what’s ridiculous propaganda and what’s not
