🍈: 메론빵 meron bbang (Melon Bread) — On the morning of my first official day in Daegu, I had this melon pan for breakfast that we bought at my sister’s favorite bakery the night before. @3dayperspective also bought me one more bread but I ate that later in the week so it’ll come up at some point. 🍔: Grilled Mushroom Burger + Bulgogi Burger 🥝: Golden Kiwi Chiller 🍟: French Fries — Finally back to posting food pics from Korea...😅 After the breakfast from the last photo I posted, I wanted to go to emart which somehow managed to entice my sister to actually go out with me.😂 I think this was also the day I went to the Kyobo Bookstore too. I highly recommend checking both emart and Kyobo if you like Target and bookstores. Lmao Anyways, we passed by a Mcdonald’s on the way so I HAD to drop by. It was also unacceptable that my sister hadn’t even gone to a McDonald’s during her stay in Korea yet.😂 I got the bulgogi burger which was decent (not as good as the teriyaki burger in Japan imo) but the grilled mushroom burger my sister got was delicious. Fries were yummy as always but the golden kiwi chiller is where it’s at. It was super refreshing and delicious. If you haven’t tried a golden kiwi yet, you MUST cuz it’s 100x better than a regular kiwi. 💜: Taro Milk Tea — We took a slight break after watching the 2 shows at the @gongcha.official on the second floor since @3dayperspective was thirsty. We decided to share a milk tea of my choice so I went with taro milk tea. I decided to get regular sugar cuz I figured Korea would have adjusted their taro milk tea recipe so that it isn’t sickeningly sweet. Idk if you guys remember but last time when I had Gongcha, it was at the Koreatown location and despite taking the advice of the cashier of getting 25% sugar, the taro milk tea i had then was SUPER sweet. Like, it tasted as though they had made it with 25% MORE sugar.😅 Anyways, back to the one from Korea, the sweetness level was perfect. 🍮: 커스타드 푸딩 keoseutadeu puding (Custard Pudding) — Of course, after dinner at the pasta place, we bought some pudding on the way back to @3dayperspective’s apartment. It was her treat~~ Thank you, 삐삐~😘 It came in a pack of 2 PLUS it was BOGO free!! A total of 4 puddings!!🙃 I ate 1 on this day and ate 2 of them across the next 2 days. 🍝: Seafood Pasta(?) 🍝: Pasta Carbonara — I just realized that I forgot to take a picture of the menu... OTL Anyways, after I had that tteokbokki in the last picture, I just derped around my sister’s apartment until it was almost 6pm. I walked over to her workplace to pick her up so we could have dinner at this pasta place nearby that she had tried before and enjoyed. 🍽: 떡볶이 tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) — Yeah, here come the Korea food pics~ Once I landed in Daegu and took a taxi to my sister’s apartment, I had to entertain myself for a couple of hours before meeting up with her at her workplace. I was just gonna starve until dinner but... that didn’t end up happening. I ended up walking to a bunshik place in her neighborhood that she told me to go to and got some spicy rice cakes to go. They were simple but tasty.
