JJ Maybank x Male Reader - Safe With Me
JJ Maybank x Male !kook! Reader
Request [shortened, it was very in depth and I don’t want to spoil too much] : “male reader is a popular kook…and best friends with Sarah and Kie…and he has a rough family they are super rich but his dad doesn't like him to being gay…also JJ and the reader act like a couple and they like each other but don’t realize it cause they like what they got…[main event you’ll have to read]…then they make it official.”
CW: hurt/comfort, homophobia/homophobic family, the slightest mentions of drinking, kinda cheesy towards the end, y/n’s dad sucks
x
Love;
[noun]
An intense feeling of deep affection
“Y’think we can make a quick pit stop before we go and do, well, whatever this is?”
The voice woke Y/n up before the sun even could, though his eyes were still close to shutting. It was Pope’s voice, of course- his sarcasm leaking through his words.
On the couch, Y/n had one arm stretched out next to his face to act as a pillow, shielding his eyes from the early morning sun just enough for him to not be blinded.
A few feet behind the couch, Pope walked over to the small round table where John B sat with Sarah. Papers were scattered across the wooden surface, the girl’s feet propped up on the edge.
“Eh, sure why not- hey, pass me a beer, will you?” John B said, nodding towards the fridge behind Pope’s chair.
“It’s 7 in the morning.”
“Oh c’mon, never too early to get a little drink.”
Pope rolled his eyes, but sure enough got up again to open the fridge.
The sound of a can being tossed, and the rattle of the fridge door closing made Y/n groan. He just wanted to sleep, he was comfortable on the lumpy couch with JJ’s warmth beside him.
The night before they’d fallen asleep side by side, nothing new for either of them. JJ’s head was settled just below Y/n’s arm-pillow, just slightly pressed against his chest while their legs overlapped. When the sound continued on, his friends still talking across the room, he shifted in his spot and let his free arm fall on JJ’s shoulders.
Y/n would’ve smiled at the sight of the blonde settled so close to him, but the voices that rang out behind him were so loud.
He just wanted to go back to sleep-
“Aw, did we interrupt your sleep?” Y/n’s eyebrows furrowed.
 ‘Wonderful’
Sarah was grinning at him, seeing how his face had changed.
“Let’s go, up and at ‘em.” John B joined right in, drumming on the table just loud enough to force Y/n’s eyes open, and stir JJ just a bit.
It was then when the sun finally hit him, groaning again and rubbing his eyes. “You guys are so loud.” Y/n complained, lifting his head and looking around the room.
Kiara lay sprawled out on the arm chair across from the couch, rubbing her eyes and glaring at Pope and John B. “Seriously guys? This early?” She asked  sleepily, falling against the chair again.
It was clear the other 3 couldn’t care less, Pope ignoring the sleeping teens while John b and Sarah were getting up from the table to bug them some more.
The blonde girl walked to the chair, standing over Kie and grinning widely. Back at the couch, John B walked past the half asleep pair, drummed against their legs once, before looping around back to the kitchen.
The slaps to their calves caused both Y/n and JJ to jerk, the latter doing so more loudly as he was only then waking up.
“What the fuck dude.” he grumbled, shoving his face back against the couch while Y/n rolled over onto his back.
At that point, all 6 of them were awake- whether it be willingly or not. It was simply a part of the Chateau’s morning routine, something you sign up for when falling asleep at John B’s. The alarm would be just as obnoxious as the host.
Y/n pressed the heel of his free hand into his eyes, hiding them from the sun. The other arm was still stuck under JJ’s neck. “What time is it?” He asked, to which Pope responded.
“7:32.”
 Y/n groaned.
“Shit,” he mumbled, clumsily sitting up from his spot on the couch.
“Pops’ll be mad?” JJ sighed sarcastically, and watched Y/n’s figure as the boy stumbled off the couch to grab his shoes.
“Don’t leave me man-“ he gasped out dramatically, and Y/n couldn’t help but smile. Reaching over the couch, he ruffled the blonde hair on JJ’s head.
“Oh, this is heartbreaking.” Kie faked a frown and put a hand over her heart.
The two boys had always been close, everyone knew that. They each cared for each other in a way that neither could truly describe, any words used felt wrong, or perhaps too soon for them to say.
So they didn’t try the words, they stuck to their bond even if it got them the “idiot-boyfriends-who-aren’t-even-boyfriends” label in the group.
Y/n himself felt the smile growing, opening the door that lead out to the porch.
“Bye, JJ” he called jokingly, getting a “bye Y/n” right back, the words holding the same tone that his had.
It wasn’t until he was entirely out of the house that he let his mind wander, only having 10 minutes time before his car would reach his drive way- where the smile he wore would disappear.
****
Greed;
[noun]
Intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.
A day had passed since Y/n unfortunately had to leave the Chateau early, and it wouldn’t be long before he was back in the car with his closest friends, with JJ.
The h/c teen sat on his scratchy, leather couch- it’s black color popping out against the light walls.
He sat there, leaned against the armrest scrolling through his phone as he waited for the Pogues to come and pick up him and Sarah. Across the room, his father- D/n L/n sat at the dining room table.
The man’s face was very stern, lips formed into a  thin line as he stared holes into his computer screen. A few papers were in a pile, his hand resting on top - the focus leaking from his eyes leaving no breathing room, no space for him or Y/n to talk.
The latter looked up from his phone, glancing at the stairs where Sarah left for the bathroom 5-ish minutes ago. The sooner she came down, the sooner he’d have an excuse to leave the room.
Slowly, he let his gaze wander.
It shifted from the long staircase, over the walls until it was set on the man at the table. His eyes narrowed.
Greed and love.
It was a relationship never fit to work, though it can still find itself intertwined into bloodline. Two opposing forces sitting on the same branch of the family tree, living in the same house. One on the couch, one at the table.
Y/n always preferred to differentiate himself from greed.
Being born a Kook, he accepted his privilege. But he saw what greed looked like, he lived with it. And he knew, from the nasty snarl worn on his father’s skin, that it was something he never wanted to be.
The boy stared at his father until the edges of his vision began to dance. So, he looked away, eyes going back to his phone screen. He didn’t want to think about it anymore than he had to.
The time read 12:09, him and Sarah were to get picked up at 12:15. Y/n stood up, tucking his phone into his pocket so while Sarah took her time upstairs, he could at least get some of the stuff he needed.
Starting with his keys, he grabbed them from the coffee table and stuck them into his pocket. He moved towards the fridge next- but the noise that had come from his key chain caught his fathers attention.
“Going somewhere?” D/n asked, just as Y/n had opened the fridge door.
“…yeah.” The h/c looked straight forward, the blue-ish light flooding his face as he grabbed a water bottle.
“And where would that be?”
Y/n’s father hadn’t looked away from his work, though Y/n couldn’t tell either way as he was staring straight into the fridges’s shelves.
“Just out, nothing special.”
He  eventually had to draw away from the fridge where he’d been hiding. The silver door closed after him, and Y/n turned to see his father looking right at him.
“Just you and Sarah?” The man asked, raising an eyebrow and resting his elbow on the back of his chair.
Y/n’s face faltered. He knew who his father was referencing, what he was getting at.
“No” he thought, saying it in his head over and over until maybe, he could say it out loud.
“Doesn’t matter.”
…or not.
Admittedly, he didn’t want his father to know. He selfishly wanted his friends to be his own thing- because when his father even caught sight of them, it would become a disruption.
D/n had the belief that Kooks and Pogues shouldn’t interact unless absolutely necessary- he was just “too good” for them, after all. He worked so life ran on his own personal railroad, and Y/n’s friends were nothing but roadblocks.
“Oh, but I think it does.” D/n narrowed his eyes at his son, who looked away with his head tilted towards the floor. Y/n fidgeted with the bottle in his hands- his father was onto him. They each had one specific boy in mind at that current moment, and by the look in each others eyes, they each knew it.
“Hey! Sorry about that, Wheezie called me.”
Sarah landed on the last step just as Y/n was released in from his father’s stare. She looked up from her phone, not catching how D/n had to adjust to return to his computer screen.
Y/n quickly walked to her, giving her a smile when she quirked her eyebrow.
“Hey, took you long enough.” He joked, sitting back on the couch. Sarah rolled her eyes and shrugged.
“Just say you missed me, it takes less time.” She says, plopping down onto the chair.
Y/n laughed, letting his shoulders relax as Sarah had joined him in the room. He opened his mouth to reply, fire some sort of comeback, but a small ding came from his phone.
‘We’re here, hurry up JJ’s about to rob your neighbor.’
The text came from Kie. Y/n peered over his phone and caught a glimpse of her car outside the window, catching a small smile on his face. Sarah followed his eyes and saw the car, grinning and nodding at the boy to get up.
Sparing one last glance to his father, Y/n followed Sarah out the door.
“Hey hey!”
As soon as Y/n stepped foot outside his door, JJ was jumping right out of the parked car- of course. With a grin, Y/n hopped down the stairs and jogged to meet him in the middle.
“What’s up JJ-“ he said, his voice almost giddy, and he wrapped his arms around him. There was a slight slap on his back as JJ hugged him back, and a tickle in his neck as that’s where JJ buried his nose.
“Waiting for you, I was about to hop the fence and visit old Richie over there-“ JJ’s voice turned breathy at the end of the sentence, spinning on his heel and bringing the boy in his arms right with him. Y/n’s eyes widened, and a laugh rumbled from his throat. His arms tightened around the boy, securing himself when his feet left the ground.
“Holy shit dude-“
“JJ, put him down.” John B sounded tired, managing no more than an eye roll when JJ only laughed. Though, he did drop Y/n onto the sidewalk right next to him. The boy, with his feet finally planted on the ground, patted the back of the blondes back.
“C’mon, let’s head out-“
“Y/n.”
The deep voice sent chills down the teen’s spines, each of them recognizing who it was. The joyful feeling that tainted the air only seconds ago suddenly faded into tension.  Y/n himself was forced to hesitantly turn, and meet his fathers cold eyes.
“Come here.” The glare that emitted off D/n’s stern figure made his son shudder- the boy really just wanted to leave.
“Dad, we’re going somewhere-“
“I thought we talked about this?” One eyebrow raised, turning D/n’s face into one of judgement. Y/n swallowed.
“I mean, there was never really an agreement, so-“
The next look that came from D/n was one of warning.
A small lump formed in Y/n’s throat, swallowing it down and air huffed from his nose.
“Mr. L/n, we were really just-“ Kiara, bold as always, tried and failed to reassure her friends father. Her words got cut off before she could even finish, the deep voice replacing them. “No, no I know. And it’s not happening.”
Y/n felt his skin itch, why was his father doing this in front of his friends?  Before he would go out of his way to avoid them, but now he talked freely. Y/n’s eyes flickered to the car, having half a mind to run and jump into the back seat before another word could spill.
“Dad-“
“Y/n, look at the neighbors,” his fathers voice rose, “their son is your age, what about that?” He gestured towards the large, nearly identical house across the garden. His other hand gripped the door handle tightly, as if he was prepared to storm back inside at any moment.
The group tensed, they knew what his father meant, even if he hadn’t said it directly. Though while John B and Pope bit their tongue, Kiara stepped forward with a deadly glare imprinted onto her face.
“What are you implying?” She asked, clearly having taken offense. Y/n looked at her, battling with himself in his head as to whether or not he should stop her. John B’s hand landed on her shoulder, urging her to step back.
Y/n’s eyes are torn away when he suddenly felt the familiar warmth of JJ’s hand grabbing his. His eyes widen.
“Shit.”
He nearly pulled away, but something made him stay, something in him wanted to. Though the second his fathers cold stare landed on their tangled fingers, he questioned that decision.
JJ glared harshly at Y/n’s father- but no words fell, as he still was trying to decide if he should say anything at all. But in that moment, it was better that he didn’t.
Y/n was frozen in his place, head tilted down to stare at his hand and JJ’s, too scared to look up.
“And what’s this, huh?”
‘No.’
“Are we still on this, are you serious?”
The words tugged the strings of Y/n’s heart, hearing such words from his own father, being watched by all his friends, by the boy he could only secretly love. He glared at the ground, shaking his head.
“It’s-“
“You just-“ D/n turned, facing the wooden frame of the door and rubbing his eyes, “this is not how I wanted to raise you.”
The words ran Y/n’s throat dry, like a river drowned into soil by hot sun. JJ felt the way his hand tightened, heard the shaky sigh that escaped him.
Kiara, once more, stepped forward boldly. “You can’t say that to him!” She rasped, eyebrows pulled into a deep furrow. JJ too found his voice quickly, barking out a “hey!”
“Mr L/n,” Sarah’s whisper barely scraped past the lump in her throat, only heard by her boyfriend.
As Y/n stood there on his own walkway, all the words of his friends fizzled against his ears in an echo. He stared at the ground until he became dizzy, nothing but his fathers voice reaching past his ears.
He didn’t want to fit his fathers description. But it still hurt.
He snapped out of the daze when JJ began moving, their joined hands swaying.
“The fuck is your problem, man?” JJ’s voice was heavy with anger, challenging D/n with his voice. Y/n’s eyes darted to JJ’s face.
“Excuse me, young man?” The authority that rattled from Y/n’s father would’ve made anyone else back away, but JJ only seemed to move closer. Y/n watched on with wide eyes.
“JJ,” he tried, suddenly becoming aware of what exactly was happening right next to him.
“You talk to him like that then wonder why he likes hanging with us? Man you must be joking-“ the blonde seethes.
“Do not talk to me like that,”
“You’re a real piece of shit.”
John B pulled JJ back, giving him a stern look. Pope, backing towards the car, mouthed at him to shut up.
Y/n’s heart pounded, staring only at JJ. What was he doing?
D/n’s head snapped to his son’s.
“If this is how you’re going to be, dont try coming home.”
Y/n reeled back, shocked. JJ stomped forward.
“Good, he’ll stay with me. You’re only helping me here, man.”
It got quiet for a moment after that.
Angrily, Y/n’s father looked at him expectantly, telling him to choose with nothing more than his eyes.
Y/n’s lips were parted, staring right back at his father for the first time that whole argument. JJ’s arm snakes around his shoulder.
“He’ll be safe with me.”
Those last words are what settled it for Y/n, the only thing he needed to hear before he knew. He knew exactly what, who, he wanted.
Wordlessly, he turned away from his father and pulled JJ into a tight hug. No hesitation followed as JJ pulled him even closer.
Behind them, the door slammed shut, and Y/n knew that was it. Yet for just a moment, when JJ pulled away and held his face in his hands, he pushed the thought away.
“I promise.” The blonde whispered with a small smile . Y/n smiled back, unable to stop himself for he knew what he truly meant by those words.
The smile broke into a sniffle and a chuckle, feeling Kiara attacking him from behind with a strong hug. Sarah followed.
“Fuck, guys, I don’t know what to do now-“ he kept the smile through his teary eyes.
“We’ll figure it out, man.” Pope told him from the car. “We always do.”

Midnight Run Part 5
I am going to finish this, I swear I will I just struggled with focusing on writing for a bit but I'm getting close to the end. This part is a bit bigger than the others but I think it's one of my favorites so far. Also I am not a doctor but I looked up as much medical knowledge as I could for this, even if it is just a really high fever.
Yuichi and Leo head back to the lair and talk more as they walk through the sewers.
Words: 4259
Part 4
~~Forty-Five Minutes Earlier~~
“Then there was the time Raph got lost in the sewers and went kinda crazy. He caught some villains and was roasting them over a fire when we found him.”
“Are you serious?” Yuichi asked softly, eyes wide.
“Yeah, Donnie and Mikey will back me up on that,” Leo chuckled, then he frowned looking at his lap. Yuichi frowned at the change.
“What’s wrong?”
“They’re all going to be upset when they wake up and see I’m gone. I wasn’t even supposed to be out by myself. I just needed to get some fresh air and stretch my legs,” Leo mumbled, loosely crossing his arms. “I know they’re worried about me but I’m fine, well I was fine. They’re gonna be so mad.” Yuichi slowly nodded, then he perked up as he got an idea.
“What if we got you back before they wake up?” Leo quickly looked up at him.
"What do you mean? Don't we have to wait for Miyamoto-san?"
"You said you have a medical station at home. Do you have medication for fevers there?" Leo blinked then slowly nodded.
"Yeah, Dad and April refilled it last week."
"So we can go there and get you the medicine you need. Your brothers won't have to worry, besides Jiji needed those herbs anyways. Jij said I just had to keep an eye on you, not that we had to stay here." Leo thought about it then slowly nodded.
"Alright, let's do it." Yuichi smiled then stood up and helped Leo to his feet. The ointment on his shell was dry so Leo pulled his hoodie back on as Yuichi grabbed some paper and a pen. He quickly wrote a note for his grandfather and left it on the living room coffee table, just in case he came back before Yuichi did.
"Ok, let's head to the same exit we came through. Can you tell me how to get to your home from there?" Yuichi asked as they left the house.
"Yeah, totally. I know exactly where the closest manhole cover is and how to get to the lair from there." Yuichi nodded and they started heading towards the exit. Leo did his best to walk straight, and it was honestly better than how he was doing before. Leo almost didn’t need the help, key word almost. They got to the exit and to the manhole cover with almost no problems. Then came the challenge of getting into the sewers. Leo knelt down to lift the cover but Yuichi quickly shooed him away as he grabbed it himself.
“I can get it,” Yuichi smiled confidently.
“Ok then,” Leo chuckled softly. Yuichi grabbed the edge of the manhole cover and grunted as he tried to pull it up.
‘This is heavier than it looks!’ Yuichi thought in shock. Leo snickered softly as Yuichi slowly lifted the lid and slid it away from the hole. Yuichi out of breath as he finally got the lid out of the way and Leo just smiled softly at him.
“You ok?” He asked quietly.
“Yeah, totally fine,” Yuichi mumbled, only slightly out of breath. Leo smirked softly and Yuichi motioned towards the ladder. “Why don’t you go down first?”
“Alright,” Leo hummed as he slowly lowered himself into the hole and started the climb down. Yuichi watched him a bit nervously but relaxed when Leo made it fully down the ladder. Yuichi quickly went next, doing his best to slide the manhole cover back into place before quickly going down the ladder. He reached the ground and turned back to Leo. Leo was looking around and leaning into the wall.
“So where do we go now?”
“Uh this way,” Leo mumbled as he took a shaky step forwards. Yuichi frowned and quickly moved to Leo’s side.
“Are you alright?” Yuichi asked quietly.
“Huh, yeah,” Leo nodded. “I’m fine, come on.” Leo started walking and Yuichi quickly followed, staying close to Leo’s side. “So you know a lot about me, what about you?”
“Me?” Yuichi asked softly. “I mean there isn’t much to talk about with me.”
“Really? I’m sure you have something you want to talk about,” Leo smiled warmly. Yuichi felt his face warm at the sight of that smile. Leo had shared most of his life already, surely Yuichi could think of something to share back.
“I-” Yuichi sighed softly. “For most of my life, I’ve lived with my grandfather. We used to live in Japan and after an… an incident in our village we moved to New York, to the Hidden City. I went to a school in the Hidden City and tried making some friends but it was hard when I was still learning to speak English.” Yuichi glanced at Leo and Leo was looking back at him. Yuichi quickly looked away as he continued.
“Things got better as I got older and I made a few friends. There’s Gen, he’s like an older brother to me and kinda acts like it too. Then there’s Kitsune, she’s chaos if chaos was a person. Her dream is to pull off the biggest heist in the world, not because she needs the money but just because she wants to. I did have another friend, at least I thought he was my friend at first. I don’t know how I didn’t see what he was doing, always making things a competition, comparing us to each other, showing off in front of others at my expense. I thought it was just how friends were, but that was also before I met Gen and Kitsune. They showed me that real friends don’t do that. That you don’t try to impress people at the expense of someone else.”
“He sounds like an asshole,” Leo mumbled.
“He was,” Yuichi nodded. “But I try not to think about him too much. I don’t need people like that in my life.” Leo hummed softly and Yuichi looked over as Leo bumped into his shoulder. Leo was looking at the walls and his cheeks were turning a dark red. Yuichi frowned, then reached over and pressed the back of his hand to Leo’s cheek. Leo jolted but Yuichi kept his hand against Leo’s cheek.
“Your fever is rising,” He mumbled.
“Really? Thought a heat wave was coming through here,” Leo chuckled, swaying slightly. Yuichi frowned then moved closer to Leo, pulling one of Leo’s arms around his shoulders.
“How far are we from your home?” He asked quietly. Leo blinked then looked around.
“Uh a few blocks, I think- Oh wait, there’s one of Mikey’s tags.” Yuichi looked where Leo was pointing and saw a bright orange M decorating one of the sewers’ walls. “That way.” Yuichi walked with Leo, keeping Leo’s arm around his shoulders as they went.
“Michaelangelo, he is your younger brother?” Yuichi asked softly.
“Yeah, he is,” Leo hummed, smiling softly. “My baby brother, even if he’s a only a year younger than me. We got up to so much trouble when we were little.”
“From what you’ve told me about your family so far, I’ll believe it,” Yuichi chuckled softly.
“I mean there was the one time Mikey, April, and I broke into the Stock and Shop after hours to go ghost hunting,” Leo smiled softly. “Turned out the ghost was a robot made by the kid of the people who run the store and the whole thing was for online views.” Yuichi just looked at Leo with wide eyes.
“It was a robot?” He repeated quietly.
“Yep,” Leo hummed. “Proved to Mikey that ghosts weren’t real. Though Gram-Gram became a ghost and possessed April, so I guess they are real.” Yuichi didn’t know what to say.
“Are you serious?” He asked quietly. Leo nodded.
“Yeah, April can tell you.”
“What even is your life?” Yuichi mumbled softly.
“I don’t even know,” Leo smirked. “But it’s not boring.”
“That’s one way to put it.” They kept walking, finding more of Michaelangelo’s art decorating the sewer walls. Leo started to ramble on about something but Yuichi was more focused on how Leo’s weight was pressing into him more and how Leo’s words were clashing together and becoming harder to understand. As they turned a corner Leo’s head fell over onto Yuichi’s shoulder and Yuichi froze. Leo’s fever was spiking dangerously higher.
“Leo,” Yuichi whispered, interrupting Leo’s explanation about something (Yuichi heard the word time travel but couldn’t really make out what the main focus was). “How close are we to your home now?” Leo squinted as he looked around. He clumsily pointed forwards down the tunnel.
“Next turn, under the waterfall.” Yuichi nodded and tried to increase their pace. Leo needed some medicine, or at the least ice water.
“Man it’s cold,” Leo mumbled. “I hate the cold.”
“Well you are cold blooded,” Yuichi sighed.
“Am not.”
“Yes you are. You’re a turtle.”
“Half turtle,” Leo corrected. “My other half is human.” Yuichi was speechless for a moment.
“What are you talking about? Yokai aren’t half human.”
“I’m not a yokai. I’m a mutant.”
“A mutant?” Yuichi asked, confused. “What does that mean?” Leo sighed then started to explain.
“Well you were born the way you are, you’ve always been you. That’s how it is for every yokai, you’re born the way you are. Mutants are created by mixing two creatures together when one of them comes in contact with an ooze that a crazy yokai scientist made. Usually the last thing that a mutant touches is what they are mutated with. For me and my brothers that was our dad who at that time was a human.” Yuichi slowly nodded as they rounded the last turn, then frowned.
“Wait, at the time? Is he not a human anymore?”
“No, he’s a mutant too.”
“I have so many questions,” Yuichi mumbled.
“You should ask Donnie,” Leo yawned softly. “I’m bouta pass out.”
“No you are not,” Yuichi snapped, keeping his voice soft. “You are not allowed to pass out until your fever is down to a safer level.”
“I gotta fever?” Leo asked quietly. “Oh, that’s why I’m cold.” Yuichi resisted the urge to hit his head against a wall. “Hey, the lights are on.” Then Leo’s face fell. “Oh no, the lights are on.” Yuichi looked in front of them and was in awe of what was before them.
It was an abandoned subway station but the walls were painted with colorful art and twinkling Christmas lights were strung over the ceiling lighting up the room. There was mismatched furniture around the room, and Yuichi could see a kitchen, arcade room, and a living room from where they were now. There were some old train cars on the abandoned tracks that were renovated into different rooms. The whole space felt lived in and alive, despite it being an abandoned station.
Leo took a step, pulling away from Yuichi then started to sway. Yuichi darted forwards as Leo fell to the floor.
“Leo!” Yuichi knelt down by him but Leo was just looking around confused.
“Guys?” Leo called out. “Raph? Mikey? Donnie? Dad? Hello?” Leo’s voice just echoed back to them. Leo’s face fell and Yuichi felt his heart squeeze at the sadness in Leo’s eyes. “They’re not here?” Yuichi gently grabbed Leo’s arm.
“I’m sure they’ll be back,” Yuichi smiled softly. “For now let’s get you off the floor and get you cooled down.” Leo slowly nodded.
“Yeah, okay.” Yuichi pulled Leo’s arm over his shoulder and carefully helped him stand up.
“Okay, where is the medical station?” Yuichi asked softly.
“Over there,” Leo mumbled, pointing at one of the train cars. Yuichi nodded as he started to pull Leo over to it. They made it to the middle of the room before Leo’s knees gave out and they fell to the floor.
“Leo!”
“I-I can’t-” Leo was gasping for air as he held himself up on shaky arms. “I can’t make it.”
“Then I’ll carry you.”
“N-No Sagi-” Leo coughed then he covered his mouth as he started to heave.
‘Oh no.’ Yuichi scrambled to his feet and quickly looked for some sort of container. He ran for the kitchen and quickly grabbed a large metal bowl from the counter. He made it back to Leo and shoved the bowl under his face just as Leo vomited. Yuichi slowly rubbed Leo’s shell as he coughed and spat into the bowl.
“Get it all out,” Yuichi murmured, trying not to look at it. Leo coughed then gagged again before more vomit filled the bowl. Leo whined and Yuichi quickly wrapped an arm around Leo’s chest before he could face plant into the vomit bowl. Yuichi pushed the bowl away with his foot as Leo pressed his face into Yuichi’s shoulder. He pressed his cheek against Leo’s head and winced at how hot Leo felt. Leo mumbled something into Yuichi’s shoulder and Yuichi frowned.
“I didn’t hear that, can you repeat it?” Yuichi asked softly. Leo groaned then lifted his head up a bit.
“Want Dad,” Leo sniffled. “Or Raphie.” Leo’s eyes were watering and Yuichi felt himself panic.
‘He’s gonna cry, I can’t handle a cute boy crying on me! What do I do!?’ Then Yuichi heard a soft whirring sound, like a small fan. He quickly turned towards the noise and stared at a small purple drone hovering just above one of the train cars. Its eyes (those were its eyes right?) were looking right at the two boys on the floor and Yuichi got the feeling it seemed worried about something. Yuichi carefully pulled Leo closer to him as he kept his eyes on the drone.
“Leo,” He whispered. “There’s a drone on top of one of the train cars.”
“Drone?” Leo mumbled looking around. “Where?”
“Over there,” Yuichi pointed. Leo squinted a bit as he looked then he perked up.
“Shelldon!” Leo called out cheerfully. He tried sitting up and almost immediately tilted to the side as his face turned a pale shade of green. Yuichi squeaked as he grabbed Leo, yanking him back towards him. This just caused Leo to fall into Yuichi knocking them both on the floor. Leo landed onto top of Yuichi, his head slamming into Yuichi’s chest. Yuichi wheezed as the air was knocked out of his lungs and Leo groaned.
‘This boy is gonna kill me,’ Yuichi thought as he tried to catch his breath. His ears perked as he heard the whirring of the drone come closer and he opened his eyes to see it hovering a foot away from the two of them. A purple beam came from its eyes and Yuichi watched as they scanned over Leo’s body.
“Donnie’s not gonna like this,” The drone mumbled.
“You can talk!?” Yuichi shouted, eyes wide.
“What? You can talk too?” The drone mocked. Yuichi felt his eye twitch but before he could say anything Leo mumbled something. He quickly looked at Leo and ignored the drone (for now), sitting up as much as he could with Leo still half on top of him (Yuichi was NOT blushing because of their positions, his face was red for a totally different reason!!). Yuichi carefully moved Leo’s head to the side so his face wasn’t pressed into Yuichi’s chest.
“What was that Leo?” Yuichi asked quietly.
“Loud,” Leo whined as he grabbed onto Yuichi’s shirt. Leo’s eyes were squeezed closed and Yuichi could feel Leo’s shivering.
“Sorry, we’ll be quieter,” Yuichi apologized. Leo hummed then slowly opened his eyes and looked at the drone.
“Donnie?” Leo mumbled, looking at the drone hopefully.
‘I thought Donatello was his twin brother?’ Yuichi thought confused.
“Donnie and everyone went out looking for you,” The drone explained quietly.
‘Oh, I’m stupid.’ Of course the drone wasn’t Donatello! Wait, didn’t Leo call it something before he knocked them both over?
“Want them back,” Leo sniffled, gripping the back of Yuichi’s shirt with one hand. Yuichi tried to remain calm and gently put a hand on Leo’s shell, rubbing circles on the hard surface with his palm.
“I messaged Donnie and told him you were here,” The drone sighed softly. “He opened the message so I’m sure he’s on the way back with everyone.” Leo nodded, rubbing his face against Yuichi’s stomach. Yuichi felt flutters in his stomach and he did his best to ignore them. Instead he pressed the back of his hand to Leo’s forehead. Leo’s skin was sticky with sweat, (which doesn’t make sense, how can turtle’s sweat?). Leo sighed shakily and chirped as he closed his eyes. Yuichi wished he could have recorded that sound.
‘No stop, focus.’ Yuichi looked at the drone.
“His fever is getting worse, can you get some ice packs or something to cool him down?” Yuichi asked quietly, almost pleading with the drone. It looked at him then at Leo before looking back at Yuichi.
“Yeah, sure,” The drone sighed before flying off. It wasn’t long before it came back with a box of ice packs. Yuichi sighed in relief then grabbed one. He looked at the instructions on the pack, snapping it and shaking it up to activate it, before pressing it to the back of Leo’s neck. Leo whined and pressed himself against Yuichi’s chest, wrapping his arms around Yuichi’s waist and hugging him like a child hugging a stuffed toy.
“C-Cold,” Leo shivered. Yuichi quickly cracked another ice pack, pressing it into Leo’s side.
“I know, I know,” Yuichi murmured, using his free hand to rub circles into Leo’s shell. “But we need to get this fever down.” Leo grumbled as he tried to burrow his face into Yuichi’s chest. Yuichi let him, just as long as he wasn’t trying to remove the ice packs it would be fine (at least until Yuichi bursted into flames it would be fine). Yuichi pressed another pack to Leo’s other side when he heard an engine. The drone quickly flew off and Yuichi wanted to follow after it, but he couldn’t for two reasons. One, he didn’t want to leave Leo alone. Two, he physically couldn’t get up with Leo clinging to him like this. He was sure the drone would tell him if there was something to worry about.
‘At least I hope it would.’ The engine got louder before it quickly stopped. Yuichi jumped as something heavy and metal crashed a distance away then there were a lot of different voices yelling.
“Leo!”
“Sensei!”
“Leonardo Blue Hamato, you have some explaining to do!” Yuichi sighed then looked down at Leo. Leo was still shivering and his eyes were closed.
“Leo?” Yuichi patted Leo’s shell but Leo didn’t respond. “No no no, Leonardo you better not have passed out on me.” Footsteps were racing closer to where they were but Yuichi didn’t dare look away from Leo.
“You jerk, wake up,” Yuichi hissed. “Your family is here, wake up.”
“Who are you!?” Yuichi looked up and felt the blood drain from his face. A huge spiky turtle with a red bandana around his head was just staring at him.
‘Oh, this is how I die.’ More people came into the room and Yuichi gripped the back of Leo’s hoodie. ‘Ok, calm down. This is Leo’s family. I’m sure if I explain-’
“Get your paws off my twin,” A turtle with a metal shell and purple colored bandana hissed at Yuichi. The turtle pulled out a bo staff and purple light covered the staff. He looked prepared to charge at Yuichi. In a panic Yuichi grabbed one of Leo’s swords from the sheath Yuichi still had on his back and pointed it at the turtle. He wrapped his other arm around Leo’s shell, pulling him closer, as he pulled his knees closer to his body, his legs pressing into the sides of Leo’s shell. The turtle in purple hissed at Yuichi, the sound low and dangerous making Yuichi want to get as far away as he could. Yuichi squashed that thought as he glared back at the turtle.
‘Don’t back down, show no fear.’ Jiji’s lessons ran through his mind and he slowly took in a deep breath. ‘Calm your mind. Panic will get you nowhere.’ The red turtle put a hand on the purple one’s shoulder as a smaller orange banded turtle walked to the front of the group.
“Okay! Everyone calm down!” Yuichi quickly glanced around the group. There were three turtles, two humans, and a rat. None of them looked even closely related, aside from maybe the turtles but they were all different kinds of turtles. The purple one at least looked close to Leo’s size, but his skin was a darker green and he had purple rectangles on his arms and legs.
“Leo?” The red turtle asked quietly. Leo didn’t respond.
“What did you do to him?” The purple one hissed.
“Donnie,” The red one snapped.
“Nothing!” Yuichi snapped, then he lowered the sword. He set it on the ground as he adjusted the ice pack that was on Leo’s neck. “I mean I did cover him in ice packs but that was to try and lower his fever-”
“Fever!?” The red shouted in panic. The drone quickly flew into the room.
“He was running at thirty nine point seven celsius or one O’three point five fahrenheit, when he arrived,” The drone explained. The red turtle quickly walked over and Yuichi tried not to flinch as he pressed a large hand to Leo’s head.
‘Holy shit, he could crush my head with one hand if he wanted to!’’ Leo groaned then gripped Yuichi’s shirt as he chirped questioningly. The red turtle looked at everyone else.
“Casey, get the med bay ready for him. April, get some ice from the kitchen. Mikey, get some cold water and towels. Pops, can you try and call Draxum?” The human girl, April Yuichi assumed, quickly went to the kitchen while the rat went to the living room to call whoever Draxum was. The human boy, Casey, rushed off to one of the train cars and Yuichi looked at it for a moment as it lit up. Then the red turtle carefully moved a hand under Leo and tried lifting him up.
“Come on little brother,” He cooed softly. Leo chirped (it almost sounded a bit panicked) then tightened his grip on Yuichi. Yuichi squeaked as he started to be lifted up with Leo. The turtle that was wearing orange looked at them for a second before rushing off. The purple one walked over to Yuichi and started to push down on Yuichi’s shoulders.
“Come on Leo, let him go,” He mumbled. It took a minute before they got Leo pulled off of Yuichi. The red turtle shifted Leo so he was cradled against the larger turtle. Leo whined and chirped unhappily as he shivered.
“It’s ok Leo, Raph’s got you.” Yuichi just looked at Leo. Against the larger turtle Leo looked so small.
“Ok, get him to the med bay,” The purple turtle ordered as he pushed some goggles in front of his eyes. “His fever is starting to spike and I really don’t want to have to resort to putting him in an ice bath.” The red turtle, Raph Yuichi was guessing, nodded and quickly walked off with the purple turtle. Yuichi just sat there on the floor as Leo was carried off.
‘He’s gonna be ok,’ Yuichi thought, trying to calm himself down. ‘He’s with his family and they know what to do.’ The orange turtle came back into the room and he looked at Yuichi.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly as he shifted the bowl of water he was carrying on top of a few towels in his arms. Yuichi quickly nodded, then pushed himself to his feet. He picked up Leo’s katana and put it back into the sheath before taking the sheath off.
“Yeah, um these are his,” Yuichi muttered, as he set the sheathed blades on a nearby table. He nodded.
“Okay, thank you for taking care of Leo, he’s strong so he’s gonna be okay.” He smiled brightly. Yuichi nodded and smiled back at the turtle.
“Of course.” Yuichi swallowed then took a breath. “I’ll head home now. You all are busy with this whole situation.” Yuichi didn’t wait for a response before he ran out of the old train station and back into the sewers. He followed the path back to the manhole that they had climbed down just over half an hour ago. The cover was a pain to move but Yuichi managed it. He didn’t stop running until he was through the portal and was back in the Hidden City. Yuichi sighed as he walked back home.
He was tired, both physically and mentally. He had no idea how his night ended up like this but he was glad he had met Leo.
‘Even though I’ll probably never see him again.’ Yuichi tried not to think about it as he stuck his hands into his pockets. He froze as he felt something in his pocket. Paper? He quickly pulled it out and looked at the paper. It was the size of a post-it note and a light blue color. Yuichi flipped the paper over and a small laugh bursted out of him. Written on the back in messy big numbers was a phone number and under that was a quickly written note.
Thank you, call/text me :P
Yuichi just smiled and pressed the note to his chest. He was definitely going to text Leo, maybe in the morning though.

infodumping about my grey's anatomy blorbos: edition #2
this time around i am midway thru season 10.... my #1 blorbo is about to leave and im worried and scared because of some spoilers i read. but anyways here is my current analysis!
BLORBOS
- meredith grey. we started off rocky but i love and support her wholeheartedly now. has done the least stupid stuff as a doctor! bonus points for that. has gone through so much more than she deserves.
- derek shepherd. has done a lot of stupid shit and is a very stupid and reckless man. but underneath all of that he is a good man who wants to do good and help people. an amazing father!!!! and husband.
- cristina yang. the closest to perfect. i wish she would stop making awful relationship decisions. in my world she is happily married to a woman. a nurse, maybe.
- george o'malley. my perfect perfect son. ohhhhh my son. i am so sorry you died. i wish you had gotten to be happy with callie and have a great little family together and be an amazing surgeon.
- callie torres. brilliant surgeon brilliant woman. a little stupid at times. but i think her strengths are all way stronger than that.
- mark sloan. also very stupid! but in a very charming way. was amazing to watch him grow and change.
- lexie grey. deserved a better exit from the show wtffff. got used as an extra trauma to throw at meredith or something like damn. she was amazing and excellent in her own right. justice for lexiepedia.
- april kepner. BABYYYYYY. amazing and deserves the world, honestly. i have nothing but admiration for her i think.
- heather brooks. AAAAAAGH?!!!!! she was so cute and fun and brought an energy to the show nobody else has! deserved soooo much better.
HALF BLORBOS.
- alex karev. has done too many messy and problematic things to be a full blorbo but like derek he is ultimately a good man who wants to do good. amazing peds surgeon. can't wait to see him as a dad i bet he'll be a little league coach.
- miranda bailey. now normally she would be full blorbo but she's been bothering me a little lately! amazing surgeon! amazing woman! but she needs to get her life more under control or something.
BLORBO BY ASSOCIATION
- jackson avery. i was gonna put him in "it won't work" but it could eventually idk. he's great for april and a good doctor! i don't like his face tho and mostly he kinda bores me
- reed adamson. i think i would have loved her so much if she got to live longer. i think about her and april a lot.
PARTIAL BLORBOS
- addison montgomery. i think i just don't see her enough to be a full blorbo. excellent character tho.
- teddy altman. i think when she comes back on the show she'll get an upgrade but right now she's away and not on my mind. she was pretty damn good tho.
- stephanie edwards. she's really great but right now her plot is kind of just avery. i hope to love her more soon!
EX BLORBOS.
- izzie stevens. used to be my favorite.... she was so great. honestly i blame cancer for everything. Except the denny lvad thing i think that was precancer. but the romance with george that she dropped so fast? and then doing all that crap to alex? unforgivable. i hope she finds happiness in a new life with new people but i want her far away from my blorbos.
IT WILL NEVER WORK BUT I DON'T HATE YOU
- owen hunt. i DO hate his pro-life stance. treated cristina awfully there. but he is also the best love interest she had. and he's a great trauma surgeon, and the best chief i have seen! we just have too many differences to ever truly blorb together.
- arizona robbins. Honestly? most of the time i Do hate her. but i also respect her too much to Anti her. especially her growth after losing her leg! but it fucking sucked for callie. i think if the show had kept mark alive i could have gotten along with her more but she has been awful to callie way too much.
- leah murphy. Mad respect for her crazy but her emotions are also what ruined her. i hope she has a good career elsewhere.
- ben warren. sometimes he's good for bailey sometimes he makes her worse. but i respect him.
I DON'T KNOW
- jo wilson. uhhhh..... she just kinda exists i don't know. sometimes she's good for alex. but i am not very interested in her. does not spark joy.
- charles percy. i think we would have had a very rocky relationship had he lived but i think the way they killed him was very artful? it was one of the best death scenes i have seen.
ANTI BLORBOS.
- richard webber. he has done too much fuckass shit and acted insufferably FAR too many times. way more tolerable as a general surgeon and not as chief but still incredibly irritating.
- preston burke. took advantage of cristina in so many ways and never once truly considered himself and his own actions. selfish, awful man.
- erica hahn. Too bitter. involved emotions in her work in a way i disliked? i think she was never meant to be a main character.
- shane ross. Bruh what the fuckkkkk. he has done way too much wrong. maybe someday if we actually tackle the fact that he kinda Killed heather we can be at least partial or something but ..... i don't want him on this show.
- ellis grey. Noooooope. don't even care about all her groundbreaking work or her disease or whatever. i want nothing to do with her.
- adele webber. i hated her so much and there was no reason to make her so evil and irritating so much??????? the show would have been way more interesting and webber might have been more redeemable if she had been Good.
- sloan riley. this girl pissed me offffff like she went thru it she was having a bad time but ultimately she just ruined shit for mark and lexie and that sucks.
- catherine avery. whenever shes around and is rude to jackson he becomes a temporary blorbo. he doesn't deserve the shit she puts him through. frustrating character overall. But! mad respect to her work as a urologist she always brings interesting cases to the show!

Hidden Tattoos
Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Summary - Nat finds out about your tattoos
A/N - I always get the best idea's at 3 am. This is not proof read pls forgive me ;-;
Tumblr media
"Babe, have you seen my-"
You both froze: you because you weren't expecting her to come in, and her because of how colourful your skin was. The sports bra and the towel wrapped around your waist did nothing to hide the tattoos you never really talked about.
You didn't intentionally hide them from her, they simply never came up in the conversation, and since you rarely wore revealing clothing, a shirt was enough to cover them.
"Seen your...?" You didn't notice as her eyes scanned your body. You hadn't even realised that your tattoos were exposed. You were so used to seeing them in the mirror that it became a completely normal part of you.
She didn't respond, letting a faint smile emit on her lips before she walked further into the bathroom where you stood by the sink.
"You okay?" You chuckled, puzzled at her complete trance at your body. Only when you looked back into the mirror did you notice her staring at the biggest tattoo that just so happened to be on your back. You saw her face go through multiple emotions at once as you looked into the mirror, seeing her in the reflection behind you. You didn't speak, kinda interested at how she was reacting.
"When did you get them?" She asked, almost in a whisper.
"Erm-" You turned to face her, looking at your body to figure which one to talk about first. "Which one?"
She smiled, pointing at the one just a little above your waistline, the towel almost covering it.
"I was 16...Got drunk with friends and they took me to some dude who tattooed me for free."
Her finger didn't leave your skin, only moving across your abdomen before landing on another one just below your right breast. It was a small
"My dad was mad at me because I snuck out, so I snuck out again and got a tattoo to spite him. I can't even remember when."
You placed your arms either side of you, letting yourself lean on the counter as she continued to point to the ink covering your skin. After a bit, she wanted to move to your back, so you turned around per her request and felt her finger travel across your muscles.
She was clearly leaving the massive one that went across almost your whole back. A dragon. Your most recent one, you got it a few weeks before you asked Nat on a date.
She let her hands drop to her sides before she inhaled. Her arms wrapped around your waist, her lips leaving small kisses on your exposed shoulder.
"And the dragon?" She finally asked, her chin now placed on your shoulder as she met your eyes in the mirror.
She hummed, smirking before she sighed.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Never came up, I guess." You shrugged, looking downwards to avoid her piecing gaze. She must of noticed your change in dementor because she gently squeezed your waist.
"I love them."
You chuckled, turning around in her grip before placing a kiss to her lips. You were glad she did. Even though you weren't necessarily ashamed of them, you wanted her to accept them more than anybody.
"Yeah? There's more on my legs."
Ever since, she rarely allowed you to wear anything that covered your skin. She loved to have you laid on her at night, just simply because she loved to trace your tattoos with her nails. You loved the sensation of it too, so you allowed her to anytime she wanted.
You got used to just wearing sports bras and shorts around the house. She'd walk up to you while your doing the most basic tasks such as cooking or cleaning, and just envelope your form so she could trace your tattoos.
But your absolute favourite thing to do was catch her staring as you worked out. Your skin would be shining as a thin layer of sweat covered your body, the tattoos gleaming in the sun that seeped through the windows.
She got flustered easily, you found out. So, you'd smirk her direction whenever you caught her staring. She'd dismiss it, of course, playing it off as she claimed you were seeing things.
You always laughed at her afterwards, making sure to envelope her into a hug to apologise for the constant teasing.

Joyrider
(Welcome to another warm-up writing piece. cw for mild body horror)
...
The mall food court doubled rather nicely as a battle-dome.
It fit the bill: a flat and circular arena, crowned two-stories up by a hemisphere of glass windows which lapsed iridescent in the maelstrom of ecto-fire.
Spectator chairs sat empty, hastily shoved back and knocked over by the Amity Park mall patrons who knew to leg it at the first sound of explosions and the first sign of the atmosphere tipping dark. Admittedly, the patron evacuation took longer than Danny anticipated, and he backed himself into a corner playing defense for the 50 some-odd people who, worn-out on the every-day mundanity of ghost alarms, took their time gathering belongings, or shutting off burners, or working in a few last bites of a burger.
So with the crowd gone and the stage their own, Danny found himself pressed back against a vat of french fry oil, hands braced against the handle of a broom he held out horizontally, which the ghost gripped with equal measure and shoved her full weight against.
“Oh, why not take a little dip, Ghost Boy? I hear the water’s nice.”
“No thanks,” Danny answered, shoving harder. “I never was much of a hot tub guy. You on the other hand—”
Danny set a foot forward and pivoted, body fueling the torque as he spun the broom, and tore the ghost with him, a pirouette to swap their spots and jam the ghost back-pressed to the fryer.
“—you seem like you’d like it hot.”
The ghost barked a laugh, jaw stretching lower and loose than Danny was comfortable with.
“Ha! You sure? Not very heroic of you to deep fry this girl I’m possessing.”
Danny faltered. His grip slipped. His blood chilled to ice as the information clicked in place – as he recognized the sensation of a ghost talking through someone. This wasn’t the ghost’s own form. This was some girl. How had he not felt—
A blast took him by the ribs. Danny doubled over, immediately kicked back. A foot found contact with his face, driving him down, until the girl’s wet and slippery fingers pinned him down by the wrists.
Danny strained. He could pivot his wrist a fraction of an inch left or right, but he could not break the hold.
“Get off me!”
And a voice answered from behind him.
“I can help with that.”
Danny craned his neck. Upside down, vantage point from the floor, he registered Sam’s combat boots slam into focus. She bent to one knee, a bazooka locked on the other. It charged, whined, and erupted with an explosion of green light.
The ghost shrieked. It took only an instant of resistance before the ghost tore cleanly from the girl possessed.
“Now if you don’t mind me—” Tucker, by the voice. Danny heard the whine of a Fenton Thermos heating up. “—I’d officially like to change my order from fries to soup.”
The beam burst forth, and the writhing, shrieking, yelping form of the exorcised ghost clawed and scratched in Danny’s direction before the thermos consumed her in full.
“Really? ‘Fries to soup’? Even Danny can do better than that.”
“Hey,” Danny answered.
“I was thinking on my feet, Sam. I didn’t hear any witty quips from you.”
The conversation fell away from Danny’s focus as the full human weight of the possessed girl dropped down on him. Gently, Danny gripped her by the shoulder, lifting her as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
“Your parents’ anti-possession gear is getting good. I don’t think I’ve seen an exorcism work that quickly.” Sam’s voice, now at his side. Danny glanced over, finding her kneeling beside him. “Is she hurt?”
Danny gave the girl a once-over. She was pale, cold, lips seeping blue. A mottled, blackish bruise spread across her temple, partially hidden beneath loose red bangs.
“I don’t… totally know. I didn’t land any hits on her, thankfully. But who knows what that ghost might have done. We should call an ambulance.”
“On it,” Tucker, from behind.
“Do you… do you think the bazooka might have hurt her?” Sam asked.
Danny shook his head. “Mom and Dad have blasted each other with that thing a hundred times. Dad got himself possessed by the box ghost for a trial run. It doesn’t hurt people. …Maybe she just needs a minute.”
“Lay her down, maybe?”
“Good idea.”
Danny eased forward, careful in his movements. Something about his grip slipped, sliding loose and rolling forward, and she fell unceremoniously from his arms, shoulder knocking ground as she lay there partially turned on her side.
“Danny!”
“Sorry! I didn’t—something slipped!”
“Well don’t leave her like—” Sam gripped a hand to the girl’s shoulder, weight behind her wrist to roll the girl fully onto her back. Sam’s hand froze, and then yanked away.
“What?” Danny asked.
“That didn’t feel right.” Sam only stared down, her hand hovering, twitching in increments. “Way too cold… and loose.”
“Loose?”
“Danny, look at her hands. What’s wrong with her hands?”
Danny looked. The skin stretched and wrapped the bones of her fingers as if rotated partway around. Her fingernails sat off-center, twisted around and bunched up like a glove. Sam’s hand came back into view, and she clamped it to the girl’s wrist.
“It’s like jelly. Danny it’s like jelly. Why is she this cold? Danny, I don’t think she’s—”
Something new caught Danny’s eye, a purple discoloration peeking out from the bottom ruffles of the girl’s shirt. His hands seemed to move on their own as he reached down, and pinched the bottom of her shirt, and pulled it back.
Black bruising consumed her torso, caving deep and bloating, pruning around the trails of heavy stitching that ran along the tracks of surgical cuts carving through her abdomen.
Danny yanked his hand away as if burned.
“Danny, she’s not breathing.”
The rest of Danny’s thoughts drowned in the swelling wail of the approaching ambulance siren.
Outside the Fenton Portal, green lighting doused the only part of Danny’s form not hidden in shadow, and danced with the fire of his glowing green eyes. Danny uncapped the thermos in his hand, and he trailed his thumb along the eject switch.
A new consuming green light belted forth, lasting only a moment until it vanished with a twin-braided ghost in its wake. The ghost blinked, smoothing over her hair and pulling the ends of her braids over her shoulders.
“Oh, it’s the Ghost Boy again. I thought you’d just throw me back in the Ghost Zone. Are you interested in a round 2?”
“No, not interested,” Danny answered, tone colder than ice.
“Yeesh, you’re quite sour. No more puns?”
“Why were you possessing that girl?”
“Hmm?”
“Why were you possessing her?”
The ghost blinked, green portal light mixing murkily with her purple eyes. “No particular reason. It was just a joyride.”
“A joyr—she was dead.”
Another blink. “Yeah I know. She was sitting in the morgue. She was in like a car crash or something and they already took all her organs. They didn’t need her. And I was gonna give her back, but you had to go and make it a whole thing.” The girl swooped forward, eyes wide and roving over Danny. “You seem mad. Wanna call a truce?” She stuck a hand forward. “I’m Melissa, by the way.”
Danny jolted, eyes flashing brighter. “No, you’re not. That girl was Melissa.”
“Oh for real?” Melissa let out a chuckle. “Crazy coincidence. I like don’t even know that many Melissas. Anyway truce?”
“No.” Danny ran his fingers through his hair. “You were possessing the body of a dead girl and you made me fight her! Don’t you see how that’s—that’s so—how fucked up—that you’d even—”
“Well I mean, I didn’t make you fight me. You made that happen. I was minding my business.”
“Doing what?”
“Shopping. Why else would I take a body for a joyride? I stole some cute clothes to wear. Stole some food to eat. Oh! That outfit I was wearing when we were fighting? Yeah I picked that out. She was in like a hospital gown when I found her. Super cute improvement right?”
An ectoblast sounded and connected with the wall behind Melissa, missing her a foot to the right. Danny’s hand glowed, and his eyes focused with a razor sharpness.
“Stop talking like that, okay? It’s pissing me off. I need you to tell me you know this was fucked up.”
Melissa put a finger to her chin. “I mean I guess stealing is kinda wrong. They were all like, big box corporate stores don’t worry.”
“The. Dead. Body.”
And Melissa fell silent a moment, violet eyes probing deep into Danny’s before widening. “Oh. Oh you’re like for-real mad about that. Like actually. I thought you were like, making an ironic joke.”
“Why the hell would I be joking about this??”
Melissa cocked her head to the side. “Well because you’re doing it too, duh. Like, duh.”
A huff of air cut against Danny’s teeth, an involuntary noise, incredulous, a guffaw he didn’t consciously make. The jelly sensation of decomposing flesh was back under his fingers. “I am not—would never—I’ve never even seen a dead body before this thing with you and I’d never in a million years even think for even a fucking second that I’d want to possess a dead body. What’s wrong with you?!”
Melissa bobbed a little in the air, ends of her braids trailing over the straps of her ephemeral sundress. “See this is why I really can’t tell if you’re joking or not. What are you talking about? You’re doing it right now.” She clasped her hands behind her back. “The black-haired boy whose corpse you’re possessing. Why are you allowed to do it?”
Danny froze. He laughed, heavy, with an uncomfortable force. “Myself, you mean? I’m not possessing myself. I am myself. I’m a half-ghost.”
Melissa met his laugh. “Oh what? No way like, that’s your own corpse? How’d you even get back to it in time? That’s crazy lucky like you must have died right near a portal or something.”
An involuntary shiver traced down Danny’s spine.
“…I’m not dead.” His eyes shifted around, and Danny dropped to the floor. He set a hand against the wall, throwing on the lights to the Fenton basement. Rings swept around his form, green iridescent eyes sweeping blue, white hair seeping black. “Look. Literally look at me. I’m not dead.”
And Melissa swooped closer. She set a finger to her bottom lip and hovered a foot in front of Danny, drinking him in. She swept to the side, like a swimmer in the water, sweeping around him in a full arc. She edged closer and pinched her fingers against the exposed skin on Danny’s arm. He flinched.
“Oh wow there’s like, not even any decay or anything. Your human brain even feels like it’s working it’s all like, electro-magnety. How long were you dead before you got back to your body?”
“I didn’t die.”
“Then what did happen?”
“I got shocked by the Fenton Portal, okay? It was just a lab accident and it gave me powers.”
“Oh. Oh.” Melissa’s eyes shot wide. “Oh you didn’t die near a portal… You died in a portal. You didn’t even have to get back to find your body at all. You must have appeared like practically on top of your own body. That’s crazy lucky. That’s so lucky. Your body was like, probably only dead a microsecond before you hopped back in. No wonder it’s so well-preserved.”
Danny swatted her away. “You’re not listening to me.”
“You’re not listening to me.” Melissa floated backwards. “What do you think is more likely? A bajillion ecto-volts somehow gave you superpowers that exactly mirror everything a regular dead ghost can do? …Or you died, and became a regular old ghost, and did what any regular old ghost can do, which is possess a freshly-dead dead body?”
“…I’m half-ghost,” Danny answered, human heart pounding in his chest. “I know what I am.”
Melissa bobbed back, feet pointed backwards until the soles of her feet skimmed the matrix of the portal. “I see you’ve made up your mind. That’s alright. But it was still pretty mean of you to accuse me like a big hypocrite like that.”
“I’ll destroy you if you ever try that again.”
“Oh I’ll try asking permission next time okay? Promise.” Melissa’s feet sank into the surface of the portal. “But, before I go, I’ve just got one more question to leave you with.”
“Go.”
“Why should a lethal accident do anything other than kill you?”
“Go.”
“Maybe you’ll have an answer for me next time I see you. Byeee!”
A spark of white erupted from the portal, consuming, absorbing, and fizzling out as Melissa’s form vanished into the ether beyond.
“Hey! Yo! Danny, come check this out!”
Danny rounded the stairs, unsocked feet creaking the floorboards with each step. Danny yawned, and blinked, and rubbed at his bruised eyes with the sleeve of his pajama top.
“Still asleep? That’s fine! You don’t have to do anything. Just come over here and look at what your old pop’s been up to.”
Danny entered the living room, where Jack sat hunched on the couch surrounded by an arsenal of power tools, rags, oil, soldering equipment, and scrap metal. From beside him he hefted a bazooka into view.
“This is the Fentonzooka 3.2.17. Amped up and equipped with all the latest in ghost-busting and human-saving technology.”
Danny blinked. “3.2.17?”
“Yep. This baby’s got 17 bug patches, tweaks, and internal improvements since the 3.2.0. The 3.2.0 was the advent of the snack compartment in the side. Look!” Jack spun a dial, revealing a chamber half-filled with pistachios.
Danny only stared.
Jack hefted the bazooka onto his shoulder. “Even better, Mads and I finally got rid of the last little sting humans feel when it’s fired. It’s now completely 100% harmless to humans. It feels like the breeze from a standing fan when it hits ya.” Jack turned, and he aimed the barrel at Danny. “Wanna try it out?”
Danny stood, and Danny stared, and Danny said nothing.
What might happen when it hit him?
Would it hit like the gentle breeze of a fan? Wash over him like air conditioning? Tingle cool and pleasant against his human fingers, human face, human skin?
Would it do something else?
Why should a lethal accident do anything other than kill you?
Jack eased the bazooka a bit off center, pulling his eyes away from the sight. He stared directly at Danny. “Danny?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you want to try it out?”
Danny stood.
Danny stared.
Danny wondered if he’d have an answer for Melissa the next time he saw her.

Being a genius/billionaire/superhero’s kid doesn’t always sound nice like it usually does.
You were one of the Stark twins, the other half being your brother, Ethan.
The both of you showed signs that you inherited the commonly known Stark trait (intelligence) at a young age. But Tony mostly focused on his son, showing him all his inventions and gadgets, teaching him everything he knew while you on the other hand, were being babysat by Happy or Pepper, sometimes Rhodey.
You tried so hard to get your father’s attention but he always had his excuses:
“I don’t have time for that.”
“I’m busy with Ethan right now.”
“Maybe later.”
At first you didn’t mind if your brother got all the praise and attention. It wasn’t until your mid-teens that you really started to feel left out and ignored.
You were left to frown when the other Avengers never found anything interesting about you, just like Tony did. They all liked Ethan better. The topic of him being the next Iron Man when Tony retires is getting exhausting.
There was this one time when Tony announced that they were all going out to dinner since Ethan got, yet again, a full set of A’s on his report card.
“Did you get my card?” You tapped on Tony’s shoulder lightly.
He gave you a side glance, “ah shoot, I forgot. I’ll go get it tomorrow.” Then returned his attention to your brother.
But he ended up forgetting again the next day and you had to convince your teacher to give it to you instead. Your marks had A’s, but littered with B’s as well, of course that was no match for your brother’s perfect marks.
And that sort of scenario wasn’t just a one time thing, Tony forgets to pick up your report card every. single. time. The messed up part was you and Ethan literally attended the same school, he was just in a more advanced class than you.
As time passed, Tony went from ignoring you to getting annoyed and pissed at you for everything you did. In his eyes, you were always in the wrong. And the reason? You didn’t know.
“Dad? Can I borrow Bruce for a minute?” You knocked on the glass door of his lab to get him to look up.
He didn’t, but responded, “kinda busy with him right now.”
You looked at your fractured arm, regretting your decisions. “W-well, Ethan was training with Nat, and... and he wanted to try the new moves he learned on me. He went a little hard and - I think my arm’s broken, I just wanted Bruce to check it out-”
“Goddammit!” He shouted after you heard a glass shatter. Bruce covered his face with palms, muttering an ‘oh no’.
Tony glared at you, striding to where you were standing. All that was left for you to do was to brace yourself for what was about to come. “See, this is why we never let you do anything with the team,” he spat. “That right there?”-he pointed to your arm-“that’s on you. Things go wrong because you’re in the way!”
“I’m... I’m sorry-”
“Just get out of here.”
Your arm remained untreated after that.
Then Peter Parker came into the picture. Friendly guy, he was actually nice to you. Him and Ethan got along right away when Tony first recruited him. The fact that he treated Peter better than you made you even more miserable. It made you think he never wanted a daughter in the first place.
You first met Peter when he accidentally entered your room without warning, thinking it was the bathroom. Cliche, but that’s what happened.
“It’s on the first door to your other left,” you stated.
“Yeah, yeah okay, thanks,” he turned around to leave but stopped to look at you again. “I’m Peter Parker, by the way.”
“Y/N Stark.”
Peter’s eyes lit up at your last name. “I... I didn’t know Mr. Stark had a daughter - no offense! It’s just-”
You sighed and waved him off. He didn’t even notice the similarities you had with your twin. “It’s fine. I get that a lot.”
After many events of being, to be blunt, treated like shit, you finally had enough. You neglected your studies, only went to school when you felt like it (which was rare). No one cared your grades anyway, so what’s the point? You became a whole new person, you surrounded yourself with the wrong sort of people, causing you to dabble into smoking and alcohol.
Since you were always in trouble, you could recite Cap’s detention speech at school by heart now.
The principal of your school wanted to see Tony to talk about your behavior. Normally he’d make an excuse not to go if it wasn’t that important but he got flooded with messages from the school, so he couldn’t say no.
You had your legs crossed, sitting across from Tony who had his eyebrows furrowed as he listened to the principal. For some reason you didn’t feel nervous. “Y/N barely attends her classes. I’ve seen every attendance. Are you aware of this, Mr. Stark?”
Tony only maintained his usual relaxed posture and avoided your gaze.
“Some students have also seen her smoke in school grounds. We gave her a few weeks suspension for it, but it doesn’t look like she’s learned her lesson.” They pulled out a couple boxes of cigarettes from the desk drawer. “We found these in her locker.”
“You went into my locker?” You shot up from your seat. “You can’t just do that!”
Tony cleared his throat and got up, gripping your wrist. “I’ll take it from here - will that be all?”
On the way out he doesn’t say a word to you, only that his grip on your wrist got tight as you near the car.
“So,” he started the car. His voice was calm, but it screamed that you were in deep trouble. “What do you have to say for yourself?”
You sighed and slouched in the passenger’s seat, crossing your arms. “I’m... sorry you had to know...?”
“Yeah, I’m just gonna be honest with you here,” Tony still doesn’t look at you. “When I found out I had two kids, I got worried about Ethan.”
You let out a snort. Of course he would.
“I didn’t want him ending up like me. But surprise surprise, my daughter did instead.”
“I’m not ‘ending up’ like you, Dad-”
“Then what do you call - this,” he referred to you. “What, you’re just gonna waste your life, drop out of school? You’re a fucking mess, Y/N, and here I thought I raised you right. Sometimes I think: why can’t you just be like your brother?” He had a hard grip on the steering wheel as he drove, the way he spoke affected the speed of the car greatly.
You opened your mouth to speak but you couldn’t fine the exact words you wanted to say. “I... well, I’m sorry I’m not a goody two shoes like him!”
“That’s not what I-”
“Please, that’s exactly what you meant.”
He scoffed, shaking his head. “Look, I’m grounding you until you pull yourself together, understand?” And he did. He gave new orders to Friday when the both of you got home. You weren’t allowed to leave the compound without Tony’s permission.
Were you giving up that easily? Of course not.
You were on your laptop for the rest of the day, hacking into Friday’s system, the security to the elevator and the entrance. That night, your executed your plan and everything went smoothly.
“This is why you never underestimate me,” you sighed, deactivating the hack once you were out of the building.
Your friend who was picking you up was already waiting a few blocks away from the compound. “I hope you’re cool with me staying over for a couple days.”
“If a bunch of Avengers come and destroy my place to look for you, I’m not going to be friends with you anymore.”
You laughed at out, “oh trust me, they don’t care.”
----
The next day no one noticed your absence, nobody did for another two days. Tony just assumed you were mad about your punishment, so he didn’t think of it much.
Not until Peter came to the compound on the third day, wanting to hang out with you.
“Whatcha got there, Pete?” Ethan asked.
“Star Wars movies. I wanna watch them with Y/N - she could use some company, don’t you think?”
The older Stark twin shrugged, “yeah, I guess she could.”
Peter then headed to the elevator and stopped at the floor where your room was. He knocked on your door and waited a bit, after a few minutes of silence he knocked again, still nothing.
“Y/N? Is it okay if I come in?” He called out. No response. He hesitated a bit, for all he knew you were probably changing or something, or you could be in danger. He went to open the door anyway. “I’m coming in, I’ll close my eyes just to be-”
To Peter’s surprise, your room was empty.
----
You were at a 711 parking lot, waiting for your friends who were buying supplies for a house party. You gave them your wallet, not really caring about anything anymore. Your phone was starting to pile up with messages and missed calls from Tony, Edward and Peter, occasionally from the others as you scrolled pass more.
Without thinking you threw your phone to the ground, cracking the screen, breaking it completely. They’d be able to track you through it now that they know you ran away. You really had no intention of coming back. You weren’t wanted, what’s the point of going back? It’s early but you’ve had a few drinks already. You weren’t sure if breaking your phone was a good idea but there’s one thing you’re sure: you didn’t care anymore.
You didn’t have to turn your head to see who just arrived and ambushed your friends inside the store. They ran out and left you behind. The sound of webs coming out of his shooters was enough for you to tell.
“You shouldn’t be here, Peter,” you sighed defeatedly.
Peter gently took a seat next to you, not removing his mask since you were in public and handed your wallet back. “I don’t understand why you left.”
He took in your awful state. His suit scanned how intoxicated you were, estimated how many cigarette packets you’ve had. His frown deepened at the information.
“I care about you. We all do. Mr. Stark’s not going to stop the search party until you come home.”
You rolled your eyes at the term. “Stupid search party – pathetic – I’m not coming home anymore, Pete-” you slurred and tried to get up but stumbled back, almost twisting your ankle but fell to Peter’s side. “Ow.”
He sighed, struggling to get ahold of you since you always pulled away.
“Stop being so stubborn, okay?”
“If you don’t like my stubborn fucking ass then maybe you should just leave,” you stated. “I’m not wanted there. I got the message. I didn’t run away just to be fucking found.”
Peter stared at you for a moment. He didn’t know why you got grounded in the first place, how you got here and why you didn’t want to go back home. There was something off in the father-daughter relationship, he knew that, but it was news to him that it was that bad. That bad for you to waste your life, to run away. He always thought Mr. Stark was an awesome parent, the way he was treating Ethan, and him…
“It’s unfair,” you ranted. “God, if you only knew how pathetic I feel whenever he tells me off. I’m always annoying to him - not just to him, to the whole team, I’m always wrong in everything I do and it’s honestly tiring? What the fuck do I have to do just to feel loved and wanted?”
You went on rambling while Peter tried to comfort and deny every negative thing that came out of your mouth. He didn’t believe any of it, but the way everyone’s been treating you. He hated that he didn’t notice sooner. He could’ve defended you.
“I have nothing against you, I really don’t,” you sighed. “But you should be grateful they’re treating you perfectly.” You got up and strode to the opposite direction, mentally cursing because your friends ditched you and you has nowhere to go, phone destroyed and everything.
But you were staying true to your word: you didn’t have any plans to go back to the compound. You were going to figure your life out on your own.
“Y/N, I… I’m not leaving you alone out here!”
You were so fed up of the spider-ling. How good he was, how perfect, how Tony clearly wanted him more than you, how he always wanted to do the right thing, because none of you expected what happened next when he went to grab your shoulder. The action was so sudden that it Peter didn’t have time to avoid it.
Knife, shoulder, really deep.
Maybe it was just how wasted you were, because he knew you would never do anything like that.
“You’re really annoying, Parker,” you muttered, not wasting any more time watching him stumble out of shock and pain, sprinting across the streets.
With his uninjured arm, he shot webs while trying to pull the knife (the blade wasn’t even visible anymore on how deep it was) out of his shoulder. There was a loud bang, and Peter never sprinted so fast in his life, not caring less about the pain and blood, because what mattered most was your safety. When he got there, you were far from safe.
-----
A week went by. And during those seven days Tony was on edge, I mean, how can be calm at a time like that?
Peter managed to show up at the compound the same night, breathless and shaky. His state made everyone worried but he wasted no time telling Tony what happened. He got you to the hospital, making sure you were being sorted out right before leaving to break the news.
Tony didn’t think twice and went to the hospital where you were admitted, not listening to Peter’s apologies and leaving Steve to sort everyone out on what they should do.
They didn’t expect you to show signs of waking up after only a week since the accident got you mangled up, it was mostly a blow to the head and as expected, you slipped into a coma.
Right, what happened: an awful timing really, not sure if Peter’s the one to blame but he accidentally stuck you to the ground with his webs, and it just so happened a car was driving at a fast speed – there you go.
Tony made sure you got the best treatment possible. He even went and asked Strange if he could do all the surgeries needed, but he declined, claiming he couldn’t anymore despite the sympathy he felt inside. Instead he asked the best doctors he knew, but still helped out sometimes in any way he could.
You took a breath, trying to open your eyes but the blinding lights of your room and them almost feeling as if they were glued shut from not being open for so long prevented you. You also tried moving your hands, only to feel a warm one rest on top of it, you finally opened your eyes.
“You’re awake,” Tony mumbled, rubbing a thumb on the back of your palm soothingly. “You’re awake and you’re okay.”
“Mr. Stark?” Peter called out, spotting his mentor sitting outside the room where they were doing the final surgery on you. It was his first time visiting, seeing as the knife wound was worse than he thought. “I’m so sorry, I-“
“What happened?” Was the only thing Tony said, not looking up to look at the kid. Peter stood there for a moment but told him everything that happened.
After that and after he made sure you were okay, resting in your room and everything, he let Natasha look after you for the night and headed back to the compound.
The kid would never lie to him but he had to see it all for himself. The Spider-Man suit caught everything through the baby monitor protocol. From when he arrived to the convenient store, when you told him countless of times that you weren’t coming back, and when your drunk self ranted about what you felt.
“What the fuck do I have to do just to feel loved and wanted?”
“He seemed to like both of us equally when we were younger,” you sniffled. “Of course he would, but… my brother just turned out to be special and talented and,” you frowned, “he’s all Tony ever wanted for a kid. Maybe I reminded him of the chick he fucked, I don’t know – must be it, right?”
“Y/N, you’re just as special as-” Peter tried to reason but you threw him a glare. Tony could see the pain and heartbreak in your bloodshot, tired eyes. One that said you didn’t want to hear anything like it anymore. You didn’t want to believe it.
“The thing is, they only want you when you’re gone. Missing. Dead,” you shrugged. “I can take a hint, you know? My only family hates me. My only family doesn’t want me. Now you – all of them – are looking for me… why?” Peter flinched at the loudness of your voice. You truly were broken.
Tony fast forwarded, it didn’t clearly show how you got hit, but he had enough anyway. He wanted to make things right with you. He could only hope that you make pass this, hoping that you’ll let him make it up to you.
“It’s not too late, you know,” Steve said from the entrance to his lab. “Y/N is strong. She’ll make it.”
“Why am I not dead?” You croaked, looking at your father with an anxious expression. You letting out another shaky breath as you struggled to move and look around. “I should be dead. Why am I here-”
“Take it easy-”
“Don’t you understand?” You felt your throat aching, breath quickening. “I don’t want to be here!”
“No, you’re okay. Y/N you’re okay,” Tony tried to calm you down when he saw the lines in your heart monitor go up and down in rapid pace.
“I’m not - no I’m not - not okay,” you struggled to let out. It felt like you were choking on your own breath, getting harder and harder to breathe by the minute, soon tears started to prick your eyes. “I don’t want to be here!”
“Tony, what's going on?” Steve bursted into the room with an alarmed but calm expression.
“Call Strange. Anyone.” He told the captain but his eyes never left you. He rubbed a part of your arm that wasn’t injured soothingly in attempt to calm you down. “Just breathe for me, okay? I’m here and you’re okay.”
Something about the softness and encouraging look in his eyes made you nod eventually and follow his breathing patterns. He held a glass of water for you to drink, holding your struggling hand softly to get it out of the way.
He’s never looked at you like that before.
Most of the time he ignored you, most of the time he looked at you at anger or annoyance when you’ve fucked something up.
“There we go, we okay now?” You looked away and nodded lightly. That was enough for him. Tony wanted to let you know how sorry he was so bad, but thought against it, at least for now. He was scared you might start freaking out again.
Stephen entered the room with the doctor, the other Avengers following closely behind. The amount of people in the room overwhelmed you a bit, but you were strangely calm because of how your father’s acting. Soft and caring, it made you feel safe.
Both doctors concluded that you had some sort of amnesia. In English, your past memories were blotchy, all of them even from your childhood. Again because of the blow to the head it was already expected. But you remembered the recent ones clearly, which was the reason why you avoided looking at Peter and his patched up arm.
Which also meant it was possible you didn’t remember all of the pain you felt concerning your family. It was unfair on your part.
Strange insisted that you stay a few more days, or one more week, just to run tests and make sure you get enough medicine and stuff.
They decided to see how bad your memory loss was.
“I did that to you,” you still refused to look at Peter completely. “I’m sorry, Peter.”
“I’m just glad you’re okay.” Peter gave you a smile.
You moved to the next person. Red hair, seemed to give off a friendly but civil nature. “Natasha? You’re Natasha.”
The Russian merely smiled and crossed her arms.
“Steve,” you stated, moving to the next person. “You always read old books in the kitchen.”
Steve chuckled, nodding to confirm.
“Ethan,” you smiled as you looked at your twin. He gave you a small wave even if he felt as guilty as Tony about everything even if he wasn’t the one to blame.
You stared longer at the next person, almost shoulder length dark brown hair, he’s wearing a jacket to cover his metal arm but you knew it was still there.
“Ducky?”
Peter let out a giggle, so did you brother.
“It’s Bucky, doll,” Bucky smiled, covering his face with his hand to suppress a chuckle as the rest laughed.
“Oh, right, I’m sorry,” you let out a weak giggle yourself.
You meet Tony’s eyes again, the softness still there.
“Dad,” you stated. “You’re my dad. Tony.”
No, you didn’t completely forget how he treated you. You knew he was annoyed with you, which lead you to think that you did something that made him act that way. “Am I bad?”
Tony’s hopeful expression dimmed. “What do you mean, sweetheart?”
You shrugged. “You’re mad at me, I just… I guess it’s just not clear on why.”
Steve thought it would be best for everyone to head out for a bit so he ushered everyone out of the room except for your brother who took a seat at the corner.
“About that, it’s about time we talked, yeah?” Tony sat on a chair backwards beside your bed. It made you nervous, but you were reassured. “You’re not in trouble, don’t worry.”
He exhaled, resting an arm on the top rail. “You deserve so much better. I should’ve treated you better,” you opened your mouth to ask but he continued. “Look, I haven’t been fair with you and it’s a problem. You’re smart, talented and beautiful. I figured you needed to hear it more often because it’s true. What I’m trying to say is, I’m sorry. I really am.”
Your bottom lip involuntarily trembled. “You – you really mean that?”
“From the bottom of my heart.”
You sighed, a genuine smile plastered on your face. “Thank you. And I’m sorry if I was a pain in the ass-“
“You never were,” Tony shook his head. “You always did your best and I really should have acknowledged it more. Give me a second chance?”
“Of course.”
Tony smiled, getting up and planting a gentle kiss to your forehead.
Everything in life was so much better after all that. Tony treated you and Ethan equally, same goes for Peter. The other Avengers were nicer, not the kind of nice that was almost fake, but it was genuine. All of them were. And you were thankful.

"Hongjoong!" You continuously poked at his arm rather harshly, trying to get him to look away from the phone in his hands.
"What-what?!" He freaked out and accidentally dropped his phone on the floor.
When he saw you peeking over to see what had gotten him so interested, he quickly scrambled to pick it up before hiding it in his lap. That made you even more suspicious.
"What are you trying to hide?" You squinted your eyes at him.
Hongjoong gulped nervously, which made your anxiety rise up.
"No-nothing... " But obviously there was something if his eyes refused to look at you. The longer you stared at him, the more Hongjoong seemed to recoil back in his chair, looking like he was..... guilty? Ashamed?
Dropping your fork on the table, you held up an accusatory finger at him.
"I'm warning you right now Kim Hongjoong, if you're fucking cheating on me I will cut off your penis while you're sleeping!" You threatened him.
The color drained from Hongjoong's face but nonetheless he got up to go over and calm you down.
"No no babe! I'm not cheating on you! I swear." He promised you, even getting on his knees in front of you.
"Then what were you looking at that you didn't want me to see?"
Sighing softly, Hongjoong took out his phone and pulled up the picture that he was looking at: it was a really cute and girly crib with a pink bed setting. You had to admit you were surprised that it would be something he was so intently looking at.
"And tell me why you were so distracted by this? Who were you planning on buying this for? Our son is already 3 and I don't think he'll appreciate the frilly pink in his room." You tried reasoning with him.
"No it's not for him. I've just been seeing so many nursery ideas for baby girls and it kinda got me thinking...." He paused and layed a hand on your stomach as he bit down on his lip, hoping you'd catch on to what he was trying to say.
And you most certainly did.
"Hongjoong- are you telling me you actually want another baby?" You weren't put off by the idea but it was so sudden and unexpected that you didn't know how to react.
Standing upright, Hongjoong squeezed your cheeks and softly pecked your lips.
"I do. I want an adorable and beautiful little girl... just like you. " He chuckled adoringly as he pressed more kisses to your cheek, trying to coerce you into saying yes.

"Dang, could you imagine raising 6 kids?" You asked Seonghwa as you cuddled up closer to him, your hand stroking the little patch of skin that was peeking out of his pajama shirt while you two watched the old sitcom The Brady Bunch play on your tv.
"Well you'd never have a boring day for sure." He chuckled, placing a kiss on the top of your head.
You hummed softly, eyes never leaving the screen in front of you.
"True...but to think how exhausting it must be. We only have two and they take up most of our time."
Seonghwa laughed at how true your words were, your twins already nearing 5 years of age and boy were they a handful. If you weren't making sure they were doing well in school, you almost always had to deal with the boy pranking his sister or causing all kinds of mischief or you had your daughter coming up to you with the darnest of questions, one after another.
"But you can't deny they're adorable and they make our life happier." He reminded you, and you had to agree. Like Seonghwa said, there was never a boring day with your two munchkins around.
Feeling Seonghwa's fingers idly tap along your hip, you knew his mind was elsewhere and not on the show playing on the tv.
"Penny for your thoughts?" You asked him.
Seonghwa wondered whether it would be a good idea to say something but ultimately decided 'screw it.' Turning off the tv, he sat up and looked you straight in the eye.
"How would you feel about adding another member to the family?" He straight out blurted it out.
Although you knew what he meant, you decided to play like you didn't understand.
"I thought you said no pets because they make a mess." You giggled which caused Seonghwa to flick your head.
"You know that's not what I meant." He huffed out.
"I know, I know love...."
Grabbing the collar of his shirt, your fingers slowly began undoing the buttons.
"So.... you want another baby?"
Seonghwa felt himself hardening when he looked at your suggestive eyes.
"Yes." He breathed out, tongue swiping over his lips when you brought your face close to his.
"Wanna fuck another baby into me?" You smirked as you layed down on the bed and pulled him on top of you.
"Hell yeah-"
Your moment was interrupted when you heard the screeching of your daughter as she called out for you, ratting out her brother in his new prank. Seonghwa sighed loudly as he got up.
"Guess we're trying this another night."

Picking his son up from school, Yunho watched as the little boy waved goodbye to his friends who in turn ran to their respective parents. He noticed how the boy seemed to look with great curiosity at some of them, particularly when they would hug or mess around with the sibling that was accompanying their dad or mom. Even during the car ride home, Yunho would peer through the rear view mirror and saw the little boy fidgeting his tiny hands.
"What's up buddy? Something on your mind?" He asked.
His son looked around nervously before blurting out:
"Dad how come all of my friends have brothers or sisters but I don't?"
Yunho had to steady his grip on the steering wheel to keep from swerving onto the opposite lane. He was not prepared to be asked such a question by his son.
"I well umm..... mommy and I didn't know you'd want a sibling...."
Yunho looked back at his son through the rear view mirror, hesitating on his words.
"Do you want a brother or sister?"
The reaction on the boy's face was immediate, eyes growing big and sparkling.
"Yes! I want someone to play with every day too!" He squealed.
Yunho chuckled at his son's excitement. Getting out his phone, being careful not to take his eyes off the road, he made a quick call to Mingi and asked him if he could babysit for a couple hours, which his friend was more than happy to do. Yunho immensely thanked him and hung up.
"Well buddy, for today please settle for Mingi's daughter. Maybe this time you'll actually beat her in climbing up a tree faster."
Happy at getting his boy content and with entertained for a few hours, Yunho dropped him off at Mingi's place, the latter promising to take good care of him, which Yunho didn't doubt one bit. Getting back inside the car, he nearly drove over the speed limit just so he could get home as fast as possible. You were just finishing up setting up the table for lunch when Yunho came running inside.
"Hey, where's-"
You slightly gasped when Yunho cupped your face and began kissing you hungrily, his mouth devouring yours as his hands went to the back of your thighs so he could pick you up and wrap your legs around his waist.
"Yunho what has gotten into you? Where's my baby?" You finally asked when you were able to catch your breath.
"He's over with Mingi and he'll be there for a couple hours, perfect if you ask me."
You couldn't help the blush that spread across your cheeks when Yunho kicked open the door to your room and proceeded to lay you on the bed.
"Our son is lonely, he wants someone to play with and keep him company."
You giggled when you caught onto his meaning, tilting your head when he began peppering kisses along your jaw.
"So let's try and make him a sibling."

Yeosang and you calmly laid out the food on top of the picnic blanket, one of you looking over every once in a while at the pair of kids running around the park, making sure neither of them got hurt, which they didn't. You two merely exchanged amused looks when you heard their playful bantering.
"Hey! No fair! You cheated!" Your son accused his older half sister, face frowning at having lost in their game of hide and seek.
"Did not! You're just a sore loser." Eunbin called out.
Huffing loudly, your son stomped his tiny 4 year old feet away from her, but stopping midway to turn around dramatically.
"I liked you better when you'd let me win!" He exclaimed.
"And I liked you better when you couldn't talk and still needed to be changed. You were a lot cuter back then!" Eunbin replied, half snorting at her statement.
You and Yeosang tried not to burst out laughing right then and there, preferring to keep quiet, knowing they'd be friends again in 5 minutes and forget they even got mad at each other. You went back to your task of peeling fruit, so engrossed that you almost didn't hear Yeosang start talking.
"He was incredibly adorable as a baby, Eunbin isn't lying." He commented.
"Yeah he was. He looked like a little cherub. Squishy cheeks and button nose." You faintly squealed as you recalled all the times you'd stay by his crib and watched him sleep.
Yeosang also began reminiscing about those times, his mind starting to get ideas.
"What if we had another one?" He asked so casually.
"Another baby?" You raised your head to look at him.
"Yeah.... I mean... I kinda miss all those sleepless nights of crying, endless feeding, rocking them to sleep and changing diapers." Yeosang admitted.
"I did most of it though." You reminded him.
"I mean.... I helped didn't I?" Yeosang tried to argue.
"Actually Damian helped out, even if he was grouchy about it." You rolled your eyes.
Yeosang huffed. "So I take it this means no baby?"
"Now hold on, I didn't say that. I'm very open to the idea, but you know this isn't a decision to make ourselves."
Calling for your children over, they speedily made their way to you two, each of them sitting next to their favorite parent, Eunbin next to her father while your son scooted over with you, resting his head on your lap.
"Hey kids, what do you guys think about mommy and I getting you guys a brother or sister?"

"There you go princess. All nice and pretty like always. Remember to behave at school ok? And be nice...."
Looking over to make sure you weren't within earshot, San leaned in and whispered to his daughter.
"But if anyone is being mean to you, remember to do that thing I taught you."
The tiny pig tailed girl held up her tiny fists and proceeded to lift her foot up and kick the air, just like her father had secretly taught her to do when you weren't around.
"That's my girl! Love you."
Kissing the top of her head, he watched her get in the car that also contained Wooyoung's daughter, their mom waving from the driver's side before taking them both to school. As usual, San stayed by the doorstep and waited a couple minutes before heading back inside. He joined you in the kitchen, where you were busy washing dishes from breakfast. Feeling your husband hug you from behind, you looked over and pecked his cheek.
"What's wrong?" You asked when you saw his pouty face.
"I'm worried about our princess. What if something happens to her?" He was starting once more with his overprotective dad mode.
"San she's going to be fine." You assured him.
"How do we know for sure? We say that now but what about later in life? Soon she'll start growing up, start making her own decisions and- Oh my God! Boys! Some boy will try to take her away from me!" He screeched, pure panic on his face.
"And that's normal. She will attract boys, she will date, will get her heartbroken-"
"Oh no no no, anyone breaks her heart, I'll break their necks." He cracked his knuckles to get his point across.
"You can't spy on her 24/7 you know. You might not even know when someone is interested in her or if she's interested in someone." You tried explaining to him.
"Hmmm true....we need someone else to do the job.."
Turning you around, San had a mischievous look in his eyes as he began untying your robe.
"Maybe someone like a little brother to report to me anything that goes on in her life."
You scoffed at him. "Choi San, are you suggesting we have a kid merely so they'll become your little accomplice?"
San chuckled as he pulled your body against his.
"That and it's getting pretty gloomy in the house without our daughter. Another baby might cheer us up."

Mingi and you cooed at the tiny baby that was in Yunho's arms.
"He's so adorable." You squeaked when he brought it closer to you so you could get a better look at his tiny face
"And big." Mingi pointed out
"Yep, his mom felt that too while pushing him out." Yunho grimaced as he recalled the excruciating hours inside the delivery room.
"But it was all worth it in the end. We brought another healthy precious boy into the world and our son won't be so lonely anymore." Yunho continued as he looked over towards his son and your daughter who were currently immersed in their favorite tv show.
"Here, wanna hold him?"
Of course you did. Carefully taking the baby from his arms, you rocked him in your embrace, your heart nearly bursting out of your chest from how cute he was.
"Oh my god Mingi! He's the cutest thing ever." You whisper yelled, not wanting to cause the baby to cry or anything.
"I know. Doesn't it make you want another one?"
You whipped your head over at Mingi, who looked shocked that he actually said that.
"I mean- if you don't want to that's fine. I understand. After all, we already have our lovely daughter and I wouldn't want you to go through another pregnancy if you weren't up to it..." His babbling started to trail off, throat clearing as he felt embarrassed about what he said.
"Well look at that, he needs to be fed. Maybe it'll give you two time to talk." Yunho laughed slightly as he took the baby away and went to go prepare a bottle.
When Mingi looked back, you had your arms crossed over your chest, foot tapping against the floor. Your stare made him nervous.
"Song Mingi....do you want another baby?" You raised an eyebrow.
"I mean....I would but if you don't, I won't-"
You silenced him by pressing a kiss on his lips.
"I do. I think it'd be nice to grow our tiny family a little more." Your reply brought a smile to his face.
"Really? You mean it?"
You nodded immediately, giggling when he pressed more kisses on your lips.
"Can we start trying tonight?"

"Y/N, I need your opinion on something." Wooyoung called out for you.
Walking into the room, you saw him face deep on his laptop, scrolling the mouse down.
"What?" You asked as you came up behind him.
"You know how we've been talking about moving to a different area?" You nodded at his question. Indeed, you had both been discussing about moving to a neighborhood that was close to your daughter's school.
"Well I found a few options and I wanted to see if you liked any of them."
Hunching over slightly, you started looking at all the different houses Wooyoung found. They all looked pretty cozy and very spacious.. a little too big though.
"Ooh! That's the one I liked! It has this huge backyard and I was thinking maybe we could install a playground for our daughter out there. With swings and a slide. Or maybe a trampoline!" He excitedly poured out his ideas.
"Wooyoung these are all 4 bedroom houses though." You pointed out.
"Yeah. So?" He shrugged.
"It's literally just 3 of us, what on earth are we going to do with 2 spare rooms?" You questioned him.
"Well I mean....what if..it wasn't just us 3? What if 3 became 4...or even more?" He looked up at you as he bit down on his lip, his hands coming up to caress your hips in a suggestive manner.
Smiling fondly at him, you cupped his cheeks and hummed.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" You smirked at him.
"Are you going to say yes?" He looked at you with a hopeful smile.
You pretended to think about it, but eventually sighed and gave in.
"Yes."
Wooyoung jumped up from his seat and crushed you in a tight embrace, his lips attacking your cheek with pecks that felt more aggresive than grateful.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!" He repeated over and over again.
Running out of the room, he barged into your daughter's bedroom where he proceeded to pick her up and spin her around, the poor girl confused.
"Guess what babygirl?! We're moving to a new house and you're going to get a sibling!"

Jongho steadied the tiny girl on his lap who was bouncing out of emotion while watching the soccer game.
"Ok ok honey, settle down. I don't want you falling off or something." He said as his strong hands kept her in place.
You and your daughter proudly cheered for Hongjoong's son and his team as they continued to score goal after goal, eventually winning over the other team which sent all of the spectators into a frenzy.
"Oh my god! They actually won!" You clapped.
Overflowing with excitement, your daughter hopped off her dad's lap and ran full speed into the field where she proceeded to latch onto Hongjoong's son, her tiny arms clinging to him while the poor boy was looking scared and nudged for someone to help him.
"Of course she'd run over to him." Jongho let out a sigh.
"Upset that your little girl already has her first crush?" You teased.
"No- well yes, but no actually."
Sensing that something was the matter with him, you inched yourself closer to Jongho, your hand reaching out to hold his.
"Is something wrong?"
It took a while for Jongho to muster his thoughts, but he eventually laid out his worries to you.
"No, it's just.... don't get me wrong, I love our daughter very much, she's my whole world along with you. But I can't help but feel jealous of my friends with their sons. Taking them to soccer matches every weekend, teaching them how to kick a ball, score a goal, you know, activities for father son bonding times."
You understood what he was talking about and although he could very well try to teach those things to your daughter, she was much too delicate and girly for such things, not to mention she didn't have much of an interest in sports. Resting your head on his shoulder, you smiled as you suggested:
"Maybe we should start trying for a boy then. I think it'd be nice don't you?"
Jongho whipped his head at you, questioning if you were being serious or not. You grinned and kissed his nose, effectively letting him know you were indeed being serious. Giggling, he pulled you against him and kissed your forehead.
"I love you so much."

You were an EMT.
The two of you pulled up to meet with the other Autobots, you exiting the vehicle before he transformed. You were in awe as he and the rest of the cars all changed.
The biggest one, their leader, gave a rundown of everything that was happening once he confirmed Sam’s identity. This was just a recap for you as Ratchet had already explained. The teenage boy just stood there stuttering not really knowing how to process everything and you frowned again. That was when you really took notice of two teens just standing there. Having known what was expected of Sam Witwicky you frowned slightly.
“I don’t know about this Ratchet, he’s just kid.” You commented to the alien you had formed a quick bond with.
“And who might you be?” The one called Optimus inquired.
You gave him your name before the other yellow autobot, who you’d later learned was Bumble Bee, uttered something through his radio. It was hard for you to hear but the other robots seemed to be use to it as Ratchet responded immediately.
“The human. I like her.” Ratchet sounding irritated.
Bumblebee made another comment and right before Ratchet could respond one of the others chimed in.
“Wait why do they get humans?” Jazz asked incredulously. “I want one too!”
“Enough! Humans are not pets.” The one call Optimus Prime stated sternly, clearly tired of their bickering. You held your laugh, highly amused.
They were like siblings. A family.
“Exactly I’m just here to help and be a better tour guide than these kids can be.” You confirmed practically forcing your services on them. “Besides they need adult supervision. From the looks of it, you all do.” You grinned at everyone around you. Optimus gave a nod, agreeing.
“She stays. Let’s move.”
In that short amount of time things moved rather quickly. You watched the Autobots accidentally destroy Sam’s backyard when attempting to retrieve the glasses, you were all arrested, you escaped thanks to the Autobots, only to be arrested again.
Fail.
Finally you ended it some secret base. How get you weren’t alone. The government had apparently been on a roll with kidnapping civilians who “knew too much “.
Things weren’t going great but quickly went left when the Decepticons, the Autobot rivals, came to retrieve Megatron.
A war from another planet had officially made Earth its battleground.
You were nervous, trying to figure out how to calm everything down before things started to escalate. Nobody was going to get anywhere with all the bickering. That’s when you saw him.
It had been what? Two years?
Still, without even knowing it, without even knowing you were present, he was still able to make your heart be slow and fast at the same time. The army had aged him, but for the better making him all the more attractive but you couldn’t focus on that right now. Especially when you heard:
“The cryogenic system is failing! We're losing NBE One!”
All the soldiers begin to pack everything that they could to prepare in a fight the way they always did. It was an mirable the way Linux game orders in his men took them without a second thought. The trust there.
“That’s good. Get all the ammo you got.”
“Everything you can carry. Bring it.”
Tearing your eyes away from your former lover you grab Sam.
“Come on, we need Bee.” You reminded him, nodding in Simmons direction
“You got to take me to my car.” Sam said, then repeated when he was ignored. “You have to take me to my car. He’s gonna know what to do with the Cube.”
“Your car? It's confiscated.”
“Then unconfiscate it.” You stared blankly.
“We do not know what will happen if we let it near this thing! -“
“You don't know.”
“Maybe you know, but I don't know.”
You rolled your eyes at the insufferable mans rambling.
This was really was more about ego who was in control more than anything. The guy running the ship, clearly was on a power trip. Unfortunately for him he was facing off against soldiers . The Captain who’s eyes you could feel staring at the side of your face.
A Captain and his soldiers. Ones that really dont like to lose and take serving their country seriously.
The guy who arrested you earlier continue to argue with Sam about getting him back to bumblebee when Lennox finally pulled out his gun sick of the back-and-forth.
“Take him to his car!”
Tumblr media
As soon as he did so all hell broke loose and everyone from both parties pulled out a weapon.
“Drop it!”
It wasn’t until One of the sector seven agents pointed a gun at the back of Will’s head that you disable to another agent and took his gun and pointed it directly and held it directly at the one pointing the gun at your ex.
“I really wouldn’t.” You warned.
You were no soldier, but Will have taught you plenty before you broke up. So did your brother, before he passed away. He actually served alongside Will but died in combat. Biking. That’s part of why you were so hurt when Will re-enlisted. When he got promoted to Captain and chose the army over you. You were terrified of losing him the way you lost your brother. The break up wasn’t that messy but you both said things you didn’t mean. In attempts to mask your own pain and hurt one another.
You know. Hurt people, hurt people.
It’s still came to no surprise that you put a bullet in someone to protect him. Together or not you’d never let anything happen to him.
“I'm ordering you under S-Seven executive jurisdiction-“ Simmons ranted.
“S-Seven don't exist.” You interjected, earning a quick appreciative glance from Will.
“Right. And we don’t take orders from people that don’t exist.”
“I’m gonna count to 5. Okay-“ Simmons attempted to threat yet again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Well, I’m gonna count to three.” Will deadpanned.
You knew that look. God did you know that look and it was so wrong that you were so turned on.
Finally the Secretary of defense interfered telling Simmons to do what was being asked of him. Everyone relaxed slight, weapons lowering.
“Y/n,”
“Captain.”
The Captain and couldn’t help but watch you how do you get up and prepare to go.
“So that’s her huh?” Epps commented as Will watched you run off with Sam.
“Yeah..” Will answered, mind racing.
While he knew he’d eventually see you again, he didn’t think it would be like this. You looked breath taking.
“Damn. Shorty had your back that entire time.”
“Gear up,”
“What I’m just saying I thought she was gonna put a cap in his.” Epps shouted after his Captain receiving no response.
Will knew you had his back, you always would, the same way he would always have yours. He thought of you often, the break up between two inescapable, never feeling like he did the right thing. You were always not too far from the front of his mind. Him wondering how you were doing. If you were happy. If you found somebody else. There was no doubt he regretted what had transpired between the two of you. It was his fault. He knew that. You knew that. He had ample opportunity to fight for you and he didn’t. When he was promoted Captain he felt he had to choose between you and the army. He didn’t choose you the way he should’ve. In reality he could’ve had both. However hr so caught up proven himself to his deadbeat dad that he possibly let the best thing that ever happened to him go.
Not to mention trying to atone for your brothers death. It wasn’t his fault, but he still couldn’t shake it. So without talking to you he reenlisted. Needless to say where that got him.
Now hear the both of you were in the middle of an alien war. Yeah. This is the last place he thought he’d see you.
You were numb. The battle on the highway enough to freak you out. For mommy, just a moment you thought this might be a dream but no. This is all very real. One minute you guys were just entering the city trying to lay low, next thing you know - BOOM! The explosion knocked all of you over, injuring some, killing a few. Bumblebee’s legs were partially blown off.
Getting up off the pavement you waited for the ringing in your ear to subside as you stood up, trying to study yourself when you felt a pair of arms hold you still.
You knew it was Will just by the way he touched you, you blinked hard trying not to go down memory lane.
“Are you okay?” The concern in his voice was enough to make your heart skip a bear.
“Yeah,” you nodded slowly. “Yeah I’m fine.”
Slowly you removed yourself from his grip and went to check on Sam and Mikaela. Ratchet on the other hand -
“Hmm. His pheromone levels are-“ you quickly turned on him and glared.
“Ratchet I’ll turn you into a can opener if you don’t shut the hell up.”
The robot nearly held his hands up in the surrendering position as he followed you. Will had arranged an aircraft to pick up Sam and the cube while everyone else defended themselves against the deceptive cons in a hurry to get the cube far far away before Megatron arrived. Sam was in a panic and so Michaela, you could see Will’s short fuse getting ready to exploded. It was then you decided to be an escort.
“Sam, you can’t do this alone.” Michaela fussed.
“He won’t be alone.” You commented, causing all parties involved to look at you.
“I’m going with you.” You declared.
“No.” Will didn’t even hesitated as he stepped closer to you.
“Captain Lennox-“
“No!” You grabbed him by the front of his beer and pushed him back.
“Do you see what going on out there?!” You continued to hold on to him and you yelled at him over there chose. “We’re at a war. One we are extremely ill prepared for. So get your shit together! Sam is my responsibility. I have to get this kid to safety.”
This time your hands slid up the side of his face forcing him to look at you.
“Y/n..” he breathed out leaning down toward you, and for the first time during all this madness you could visibly see he was afraid.
“I’ll be back, Will.” You assured him, briefly resting your forehead against his.
Gathering himself he pulled away, looking toward Sam then back at you.
“Go. Go!”
And then we were running.. With nothing but an M16 strapped to your back and the pistol in your hand, you ran faster than you ever have before.
The four of you were under attack once more, you and Sam doing what you had to, to avoid getting snatched up as a fight Ironhide and Ratchet defended you. Unfortunately you were too close to one of the cars that went up in flames and you were thrown into another car from the blast.
“Y/n!” You could feel the blood on your forehead as you slowly pushed yourself up. As you tried to stand you immediately stopped feeling the pain in your thigh. Looking down could see the damage that had been done. The blood surrounding the afflicted area.
“Wha- what, what do i do?!” Sam asked frantically once he took notice of your injury.
“You gotta keep going Sam. I’ll be fine.”
He stood fo his feet, unsure of what to do. When Ironhide told him the same thing.
“Go!” You screamed once more.
Sam left and continued to run without you as you, as quickly as possible, as you tore your focus away from him to pull the shard of glass in your leg out. Ripping a piece of your shirt off you tightly tied it around your thigh in order to stop the bleeding. There was no point in going forward now but the return back to everyone else and help them fight.
You just had to avoid getting killed in the process.
You seen a car steering wheel, a Mountain Dew vending machine and and Xbox all turn into one of those freaky ass robots right before your eyes. All of which you helped others fight off. It was so surreal. In fact, if it wasn’t for the constant ringing in your ear from all the explosions you definitely think you were dreaming. You almost made it back to Lennox and his men when another Decepticon stood between between you and your destinations. They were definitely taking a beating. You saw Epps shooting a green laser indicating the robot that doubled as a helicopter wasn’t a friendly and decided to do what you could to keep the Decepticon from getting any closer to them and hurting any more civilians. In an attempt to draw it away from everyone else, you begin to fire your weapon giving it everything you had.
Unfortunately, the side effective taking its attention off the others meant putting the attention on you.
You ran trying to duck and dodge a bullets now directed your way.
Tumblr media
But Will. Will’s heart dropped. Seeing you there defending yourself alone. His pause was brief, the air forces plan already in motion, before he started the motorcycle and was speeding in your direction.
“William!” You screamed for him fearfully as he drove straight toward the robot.
The only thing you could hear was your heartbeat pounding in your ears. You almost couldn’t breathe, you don’t remember the last time you ever felt so scared in your life. But it wasn’t your life you feared for was it?
He rushed forward and slid under the robot continuing to firing the launcher. All you could do was watch as he drove toward you. Toward the danger your mind wondering if he did that on a regular basis. Was this the life of a soldier? What he went through day after day when he was deployed?
Standing up he only spared the parts of the dismembered robot a glance before shouting and turning looking for you. In a matter of seconds he was standing directly in front of you and pulling you into his arms.
Relief.
There was nothing like physically being about to touch someone, hold someone to really know they were okay.
“So…” you began, suddenly feeling nervous. “...That was hot-“
Before you were able to get another word in, he captured your lips with his kissing you roughly and bringing you closer, hands on the small of your back. You couldn’t help it kiss him back just as fiercely put in every emotion you had into that kiss.
Every ounce of passion he had in body, put into this kiss, your lips just as soft, kiss just as pure as he remembered. When you kissed, he knew he was a goner and could never let you go again.
It has been two years since the last time you guys have been this close. This intimate. Reconnected. The feeling it gave you, the indescribable feeling, was one neither one of you ever wanted to forgo again. Pulling back slowly, you both had smiles on your faces, Will pulling you closer to plant a kiss on your forehead.
“Excuse me,” Epps interrupted.
The both of you turning your attention on him.
“As cute as this shit is it’s highly inappropriate in the middle of the battle. I’m just saying we are trying to stay alive and shit.”

third owl fight attack! This one’s prompt was “Hunter and Luz being siblings”, and I kinda ran with it
Summary: Saying that Hunter was worried for Luz would be an overstatement. He wasn't worried, he was just...vaguely curious. He knew that she'd take some time in the human realm, to be with her mother, but...well, it'd been almost two weeks, and nobody had heard a single thing from her. So, really, breaking and entering was an entirely reasonable reaction.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Now, Hunter knew, on some level, that Luz would be in the human realm for a while.
To be fair, he hadn’t had much time to think about it, what with  everything  going on. There was the Grimwalker revelation, which was also a kind-of clone revelation, and Luz offering an outstretched hand, and sitting on the ground in the human realm with the portal flickering and pulsing angrily, the dust settling as he held his uncles broken mask in his hands--
He’d been more than a little preoccupied, to say the least.
And Luz had gone through the portal the second it had all finally calmed, when there was nothing left to fight, with goodbyes he couldn’t remember. He wasn’t sure exactly when, everything had gone pretty numb by that point.
He just knew that after the first two days, when he was finally dragged out of his miserable wallowing in ditches by a very exasperated palisman and Owl Lady, Luz wasn’t there.
The others noticed her absence and the slight hole she left, he knew they did, but they never really commented on it. What with Bonesborough falling apart in a literal and metaphorical sense, everyone was kinda busy trying to patch all of it up. Like dealing with that one demon who kept talking about ancient magic, who was apparently the small rat demon's dad. And making sure Kikimora stopped escaping prison for five minutes. And dealing with the other Coven Heads. And apparently there was some people  mad  that the old wild witch ways were coming back--
Nobody really had the  time  to wonder about Luz off in the human realm, seeing her mother again.
And for the first week, he  didn’t  worry. He had an existential crisis and bothersome witches to avoid like the plague. His days were spent distracting himself by making everyone's lives miserable, since they kept insisting on holding him captive in the Owl House instead of letting him decompose in the woods for some reason. And honestly, Luz knew  way  too many people, because he’d stopped bothering to keep track of everyone by the fourth hour of being in that house.
After he realized trying to run for it or annoying everyone into kicking him out wouldn’t work, he mostly hid in the dark corners where nobody would see him for hours at a time. Used to be for days, but apparently the Owl Lady was just as nocturnal as him, and they’d run into each other early in the morning when trying to grab a snack.
He had Rascal for company, at least. Say what you will about the little guy, but he was as loyal as he was stubborn.
But, after the first week, Hunter was starting to  really  notice a severe lack of annoying humans running around.
Apparently, so was the others, because he was noticing a few of them beginning to get a little antsy. He would’ve brushed it off, but he could hear a distinct influx of mutterings that sounded like ‘Luz’ and ‘portal’ and ‘human realm’ from his hiding places, when they thought no one else was around.
It was almost halfway through the second week before he knew it, and that was  far  too long for Luz to be away without so much as a note.
And she was  probably  fine, he reasoned. But Luz being away without even a call was suspicious enough,  two  was downright concerning.
By then, Hunter was somewhat starting to recognize the faces that filtered in and out of the Owl House, and he began to plan.
Somehow, he managed to wait until he saw a girl with familiar purple hair step in through the doorway, speaking words he didn’t bother to listen to as she sat on the couch he was hiding under.
Rascal had, of course, chosen to perch himself on the head of a chair across the room, where barely anyone would care to notice him.
She was talking to some small illusionist he saw earlier (he may recognize faces, but names were a whole other matter. He’d never had to memorize names unless they were important to Belos, and if they weren’t, they were irrelevant. He should probably work on remembering their names), something about buildings and repairs or something, it wasn’t his problem. When the illusionist stepped away, off towards the kitchen to grab something, Hunter decided to poke his head out from underneath the couch.
“So what's the word on-- ow!”  He yelped, jerking back under the couch when he got a foot kicked into his nose.
“Titan,  don’t  do  that, you prick!” Amity snapped, inching a little further to the left as Hunter peeked out only one eye from under the couch this time, giving his best spiteful glare. “Why are you even  down  there?”
“Because nobody bothers me,” Hunter growled, holding his nose as he began to wiggle out. “Everyone’s so  clingy  in this house, it’s maddening.”
“Do you actually mean clingy, or are you referring to basic kindness?” Amity raised a brow, narrowing her eyes as he stood and brushed himself off from the dust bunnies that gathered under the couch.
“Irrelevant. Why hasn’t the human returned yet?” He demanded, leaning against the arm of the couch as Amity sat at the other end, giving a reasonable distance between them.
“Luz?” Amity blinked, clearly taken aback by the question.
“Yes, is there another, different human that you have to bring up every five minutes I should know about?” Hunter snapped, and got a curled lip and bared teeth from Amity in response.
“What, getting bored of the rest of us?” Amity snarked, crossing her arms.
“Don’t flatter yourself, barely any of you were entertaining to begin with.” Hunter huffed. “Now do you know why the human is avoiding us or not?”
“Avoiding?” Amity frowned. “Luz’s not  avoiding  us, she’s just visiting her mom.”
“With radio silence for almost two weeks,” Hunter said, doing his best to stamp down his impatience.
He  really  would have rathered asking the Owl Lady about this, but he’d learned from the last time he tried that she’d twist any conversation regarding Luz to be about him, so the next logical best bet would have to be her incessant, chattery, girlfriend. Titan, Luz had the weirdest tastes.
“She’s been away from her mom for four months.” Amity said, rolling her eyes like this was some concept he wasn't understanding. “She’s not gonna see her for a day and then come right back.”
“But still!” Hunter threw his hands in the air, ignoring Rascal’s minorly concerned chirp from across the room. “You think someone like  Luz  would go without contact for almost  two weeks?  She would’ve at least popped in to say hello, or go on some ramble about what’s going on in the human realm. She’d feel guilty about leaving you guys to repair everything on your own by the second hour.”
“It’s just...taking her a minute,” Amity said, and that was the first small crack in her resolve he saw. Had she not seen him at his lowest the first time they spoke, he would’ve been proud of the fact he could chip away at her far easier than she could at him. “Luz wouldn’t avoid anyone out of the  blue,  that’s not like her.”
And he  knew  she was right on that, as infuriating it was to admit it. Luz wouldn’t  abandon  people, she’d be more likely to keel over on the spot from spontaneously growing a bile sac. And perhaps a part of him  was  being a little over dramatic, but there was just this little twist in his chest that curled tighter when he considered going back to hiding in empty rooms and letting everything continue on,  waiting  to see if anything would change rather than  making  it change.
“Besides,” Amity continued. “As Luz’s girlfriend, I think that I would  know  if--”
“Oh  Titan,  just  forget it.”  Hunter groaned, tugging on his ears as he stepped away from the couch. “Whatever, you’re useless about this, anyway. If  you  don’t know when she’s coming back, and the  Owl Lady  doesn’t know, then nobody will.”
Amity stayed silent for a moment as Hunter stormed off towards the doorway that led to the staircase, Rascal flying off his perch to land on his shoulder with soft, almost melodic chirrups.
He contemplated if he could steal something from one of the spare rooms up there. Everyone was fluctuating between them the last few days, but they often left their stuff in there for him to take. It was fun watching them get so riled up about their missing junk.
“We,” Amity started, and Hunter paused in the doorway, one ear pricked. “We were planning on going into the human realm,” She admitted, voice quiet. “If we didn’t hear anything from Luz by the end of this week.”
Hunter turned around then, noting Amity had one hand bunched up on her leg, fisting the hem of her shirt and rubbing her fingers between it in a nervous tick. She avoided his gaze, and he saw, for just the briefest of moments, the uncertainty spilling off of her, possibly having been doing so for far longer than when he’d noticed the same signs from everyone else.
“Well,” He said, and she looked up at him then, and the vulnerability was gone in a snap, replaced by a curious, slightly accusatory, expression. It unnerved him how familiar it looked. “By all means, don’t go telling  me  about your super secret rescue missions, not like  I’d  want to join.” He muttered.
“Count it a blessing that I told you at all,” Amity hissed, ears flicking back. “Maybe if you promise to be nice, we’ll let you come along.” She taunted.
“Maybe if you people hadn’t  kidnapped  me, I wouldn’t be causing so many  problems.”  Hunter growled back through gritted teeth, breaking eye contact for only a moment when Rascal lightly bit and tugged on his ear, trying to urge him away.
“Like you need an excuse--”
“Uh, am-am I interrupting?”
The two turned their heads, realizing that the small illusionist, he’d figure out the kids name later, was standing in the living room again, a box of juice in his hands as his eyes flicked between them.
“No, Golden Boy was just leaving.” Amity waved him off, leaning back against the couch.
“You weren’t even clever with that one, Blight.” Hunter sneered, rolling his eyes as he turned to leave.
“Wittebane.”
“Call me that again and I’m ripping your teeth out.” Hunter threatened, pointing a finger at her as he backed out of the room.
“No name,” Amity amended, sticking her tongue out at him.
“You are on  thin ice.”
 ,
That night, Hunter was opening the window in Luz’s old room.
His escape attempts had never really worked before, the weird tube demon in the front door took his job of keeping him contained  very  seriously. Everyone else just liked watching the show and tapping in when needed.
However, he  also  knew, from the mutterings that Luz had told him in those few snatches of time in the days that they had talked before everything went wrong (or right, depending on who you asked), that she’d snuck out through her window  multiple  times without the demon realizing. Apparently she had bribed him once or twice, and now he barely reacted to the sound of her window opening, sort of like a reflex.
He’d meant to use it for his next escape attempt, just to see if it’d work for him, to run for the hills if it worked, but desperate times called for desperate measures. He’d be  damned  if they left him out of nabbing Luz from the human realm.
So Hunter tugged his cloak tighter across his shoulders, despite it being torn in many places, he had yet to rid it completely, and slowly opened Luz’s window.
He waited, tense, Rascal just as silent from within his hood. When there wasn’t the sound of a piercing voice after a few seconds, he cautiously poked his head out.
Nothing.
Either the bird really  had  grown to have no reaction to Luz’s window opening, or he was just as tired as everyone else. Or off eating bugs, that was plausible.
He slowly edged out, only having a moment to peer down at the ground below until he swung out of the window, hands gripping the windowsill as he edged himself down.
He hung in the air for a moment before releasing the windowsill, dropping to the ground below in a crouch. The perks of the Emperor’s Coven were few and far between, but hey, living there had made him an  expert  at being quiet.
He darted around the Owl House, crouching so as to avoid being seen through the first-floor windows, because there was always  someone  awake, no matter the hour. The portal to the human realm had been moved not too far away, but far enough that it couldn’t be, you know, automatically seen by anyone approaching the building.
He spared one last glance towards the house before he booked it off towards the woods, already mentally cursing himself for wearing a  white cloak  in the middle of the night. Why did he think that was a good idea,  why  did he think that was a good idea--
He made it to the cover of trees, somehow, without anyone sounding the alarm. He ducked behind a tree, catching his breath for a moment as he waited for shouting to arise.
Upon realizing he was in the clear, he pumped a fist in the air with a soft  “yes!”  and got an encouraging whistle from Rascal, who he gave a quick scratch on the head to.
He then hurried a bit further into the trees, soon faced with branches, vines, and bushes all stretched out across the beginning of a slope before him.
He reached out, grabbing one of the vines and yanking it aside, revealing the structure of the portal to the human realm, its soft humming mostly muffled by everything covering it. He ran his hand down the exterior of it for a second before pushing more vines aside, allowing a small enough space for him to crawl through.
He’d been to the human realm before, technically. Belos’s wrath had only just begun to reach into the human realm before he had managed to be stopped, and Hunter had a few moments out there, feeling the grass and seeing the trees. They really  were  green, and he couldn’t help but see it all and know with certainty that there was no magic within any of it. Hollow. It was a feeling he was familiar with.
But this time was different, and he inhaled for a moment before giving Rascal what he hoped was his best determined look.
“Alright,” He said. “Let’s see what’s been keeping her.”
 ,
He spent about half an hour in the woods of the human realm until he managed to find Luz’s house.
She’d never really said  where  she lived, just that it was the closest house to the forest. Nothing about directions, so he spent his time wandering about trying to find a house that wasn’t falling apart.
Rascal gave up and eventually flew off at some point, returning about five minutes later, chittering loudly and pulling on his hood. Hunter knew better to argue, and had followed until he came across a house that actually looked  lived  in, as opposed to the one he’d appeared in.
“If you led me to a random person's house, I  will  throw you into the sea.” Hunter warned, only getting a cheery whistle in return as he walked around the house.
He eventually found a window on the first floor, and pushing on it, was delighted to find that it was unlocked. He opened it, hoisting himself inside as Rascal darted in.
He realized the window was right over a kitchen sink, and lightly stepped a foot onto the counter beside it. He slowly swung himself inside, not even bothering to shut the window behind him as he dropped to the floor. He might need that escape route later.
Rascal was off exploring without a second thought, so he allowed himself to stalk throughout the kitchen, eyes flickering over photos and magnets stuck to the fridge. He saw ones that looked like letters, colors, and even saw a photo of a woman and a young, crazy-looking child.
He peeked around corners as he darted through the house, cracking open doors before continuing through hallways. One of the doors he opened  looked  like a bedroom, but he saw something with a scaly tail poking out, so he let that room be. The human realm was bound to have its own oddities.
The other bedroom he saw did have a person sleeping in it, but she didn’t look like Luz, much too old, so he quietly shut that door again and tried a different one.
He opened the last one, at the end of the hallway, already preparing to snap back that Rascal had brought him to the  wrong house,  when he took in the bedroom.
He only needed to see it for half a second to see the immediate resemblance to the mess that was Luz’s room in the Owl House. He slipped inside, leaving the door open just a crack in case Rascal showed up.
He crouched, eyeing the posters along the walls, shelves full of random junk, books strewn across the room. The figure sleeping in the bed was practically twisted backwards, blankets already halfway on the floor. He approached it, slowly standing up as he loomed over them, searching their face.
“Oh thank the Titan,” Hunter breathed, stepping back as he pressed a hand to his chest. That was Luz, for sure.
She stirred, slightly, hand twitching as she mumbled incoherently in her sleep. At least she wasn’t actually kidnapped or something, he reasoned.
“Hey, human,” He said, a little louder, but enough that he hoped the others down the hallway wouldn’t hear, shoving at her shoulder. “Wakey wakey.”
Luz mumbled in her sleep again, one eye barely cracking open before she turned over and tried to bury further under her covers.
Hunter grabbed her leg poking out from the blankets and yanked her off.
Luz’s yelp was cut off as he smothered the blankets over her, pausing as she fumbled around trying to get it off, ears pricked as he waited to see if anyone had heard.
“I’m  awake,  Vee, I’m  awake--”  Luz pulled the blanket off her head, her glare almost immediately replaced with shock.
“Hey,” Hunter grinned, flashing fangs. “Miss me?”
“Hunter?”  Luz exclaimed, before immediately covering her mouth with her hands, eyes darting towards her door like she expected someone to be there.
“Oh don’t sound  so  surprised.” Hunter scoffed, rolling his eyes. “You oughta step up your game if you think you can escape me in another dimension.”
“What are you  doing  here?” Luz whisper-yelled, scrambling to her feet as she looked wildly around her room. “Did-did the  others  come?” She asked, giving him such a scared look he was a little put off by it.
“No? I mean, they  will  be, I just got ahead of the curve.” Hunter shrugged off her odd reactions. “Made sure I got to you before they did, didn’t feel like being left behind on the ‘let’s drag Luz back kicking and screaming’ plan.”
“Oh no, oh no,” Luz shook her head, one hand on her head as she began to pace. “Are-are the others  looking  for me?”
“Will be by the end of this week,” Hunter said, watching her curiously. “Why? This a bad time or something?”
“Yes! Yes, this is a  terrible  time!” Luz exclaimed, barely managing to keep her voice down as she whirled towards him.
“Did you get grounded?” Hunter narrowed his eyes. “Because if so, let me just say, I know about fifteen different ways to lessen the extent of the grounding, and twice as many ways to sneak out, this place isn’t even all that fortified--”
“No! Well, I mean, I kind of am,” Luz winced. “But that’s not--you can’t--you need to  go.”  Luz said, gesturing back towards the door. “You can’t be here.”
“Do you need a body disposed of? Because I also know a lot of ways to--”
“I’m touched, but no.” Luz gave him a withering look. “Don’t even wanna know why you know that. You have to  leave.”  She insisted, beginning to shove him towards the door.
“Aw, but I came all this way to see you,” Hunter whined in a dramatic tease, slowly leaning back, therefore putting more strain on Luz as she tried to push him out. “You don’t want to see me?”
“Believe me, I’m  very  happy to see you’re okay,” Luz assured through gritted teeth, offering the smallest of smiles. “And I’ll bother you later. But now is  not the time.”
Rascal took that moment to poke in through the crack in the doorway, landing on a shelf and eyeing the two with what felt like judgement. Hunter promptly dropped all his weight on Luz, nearly crushing her.
“Damn,” He whistled when Luz’s knees refused to buckle. “You got some muscle hiding under those skinny bones?”
“That, and you weigh as much as a half-filled sack of lumpy potatoes.” Luz muttered, already pushing back up to her full height as she took Hunter with her.
“You’re  impossible.”  Hunter huffed, standing back up onto his feet and snickering as Luz stumbled with the lack of weight. “Seriously, what’s the hold up? Are you getting bored with us already?”
“No,  first of all, I’d never do that.” Luz pointed a finger at him. “And I’m offended you thought I ever would be.”
“It’s a reasonable assumption.”
“It’s not. And second of all,  I’m  serious, you  cannot be here.”  Luz stressed, grabbing his shoulders, a movement that instinctively caused him to flinch, just the tiniest bit. “If my  mom  sees you here, she’s going to  freak--”
“Luz?” A groggy voice called, and Luz stiffened so quickly with such  terror  crossing her face that Hunter tensed as well. “Creí haber escuchado algo, are you--?”
Hunter saw the door to Luz’s room open, and immediately threw an arm out in front of Luz, giving a quick whistle that Rascal had learned to recognize by now. In a flash, he was holding his staff in his other hand, Luz pushed behind him as he pointed his staff towards the figure in the doorway, ears pressed back and fangs bared in a low, warning growl.
The person froze, eyes going wide, one hand still clutching the door handle.
He recognized it as the older woman he saw in one of the bedrooms, hair still mussied from sleep, the glasses on her face smudged from someone having grabbed them clumsily. The sleep had vanished from her eyes the moment she saw him, a faintly glowing staff pointed only a foot away from her.
“Hunter, Hunter, no, stop!” Luz was quick to grab Hunter’s arm after barely a second of tense silence, shoving the staff down. “She’s my mom, she’s safe!”
Hunter paused at that. Granted, his experience with biological family (as biological as Belos could be) wasn’t the best, but he had heard a few stories, here and there, about Luz’s mom. And Luz would go into a Slitherbeast den for anyone who asked nicely, but hey, he still thought that if someone was willing to fight  Emperor Belos  for them, they had to be something special.
“Oh, sorry.” He said, all hostility evaporating as he drew his staff back, holding it at his side. “Reflexes.”
“Luz,” The woman said, slowly, and Hunter was so instantly reminded of when the adults dealing with him were trying so hard to not lose their shit that he halfway raised his arm to shield Luz again. “Por qué hay un chico extraño en tu habitación?”
“Puedo explicarlo!” Luz was quick to exclaim, clutching Hunter’s arm, and he looked blankly between them. He’d heard of other languages in the Isles before, often ones spoken by demons, but this was a new one on him.
“Oh estoy segura de que lo harás!” The woman snapped back, hands on her hips now, not bothering to keep her voice low.
“What’s she saying?” Hunter whispered to Luz, eyes still darting between the two. “Is this a ‘we’re about to start fighting’ situation or a ‘you’re grounded for life’ situation?”
“No te puedo creer.” Luz's mom grumbled, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Okay, so, uh,” Luz clasped her hands together. “I promise, mami, this is  not  what it looks like.”
“What does it look like?” Hunter blinked, giving Luz a concerned expression now. “It doesn't look like I’m a robber, right? Because this place has nothing  near  worth stealing.”
“Please stop talking,” Luz hissed out of the corner of her mouth, never taking her eyes off her mother. “Mami, this is, uh,” She faltered for a moment. “This is Hunter.”
Her mother cracked open an eye from where she was rubbing the bridge of her nose, sending such a seething glare that both kids shuttered.
“You know what,” Hunter said, letting Rascal transform out of a staff and back into his usual self, letting the bird land on his shoulder as he clapped his hands together. “I can see that you're busy, so I think I’ll just be--why is she staring at me like that?”
The woman was staring at him now, well, Rascal, eyes locked on the cardinal on his shoulder like it had suddenly grown five heads. He flicked an ear in confusion, turning to Luz to ask what her mom’s problem was, only to see Luz immediately face-palm.
“Estoy atascado con un idiota,” Luz mumbled under her breath, and Hunter could pretty easily guess what the last word had meant, and bristled at it.
“Hey--”
“Okay,  so, Hunter,” Luz kept her hands pressed together, using them both to point towards him. “Thank you for the visit, really, but I think we’re done here.”
“We,”  Luz’s mom finally managed to speak, and Luz cringed with a sheepish smile. “Are going to have a  talk.”  She growled, though it lacked any of the reverberating sounds an actual growl would have. He always wondered how humans ever got the last  hit  of their point across without growls or clicks or hisses. He realized now that tone had a  lot  to do with it.
“And that includes  you,  young man.” The woman added, turning her glare towards Hunter, and he wouldn’t be ashamed to admit he wilted a bit under it. She could’ve disintegrated Kikimora on the spot with a look like that.
“Yes, ma’am.” Hunter ducked his head, and ignored the quiet snickers from Luz that she quickly tried to smother.
The woman stepped to the side, allowing the two of them to shuffle out of the room. Luz went out first, giving Hunter an expression that was somehow both  ‘sorry’  and  ‘I told you so’  and  boy  did he want to punch it.
Hunter hurried out after her, one hand cupped over Rascal protectively, unable to fight back the urge to hide him from everyone and everything new, that he’d be broken in half the second anyone got close.
As he passed her, he knew she was staring at him with a far sharper gaze than she had Luz. He glanced out the corner of his eye, and she was staring at his ears, at Rascal, and just as he stepped into the hallway, her eyes narrowed in on the scar along the side of his face.
He’d had people stare at his scars before, it wasn’t new. Scars weren’t uncommon in the Boiling Isles, but ones as big and prominent as his were generally expected of witches far older than him, far more known for their battles and their victories.
He growled in the back of his throat, briefly twitching his lip to flash a fang. It was near-instinctive at this point, a quiet reminder of who he was, of who shadowed over him, and that it was impolite to stare, to mind your own business.
Luz’s mom jerked back at it, a far stronger reaction than the ones he was used to getting. He was used to a quick aversion of the eyes, hurrying to turn their heads the other way, a simple glance to elsewhere in the room. She stared at him with even more apprehension and worry than before, like she was confronted with a wild animal in her home.
His ears pressed down and he hurried off down the hallway, almost stepping on Luz’s heels from how close he walked behind her.
He noticed an eye peeking out of a room up ahead, and Luz gave a weak, almost teasing, salute to whoever was inside. He saw a flash of scales and what might've been a pitying look until they slipped out of view.
Luz stood off to the side as she exited the hallway, and Hunter stood next to her. He gave her a questioning look, one she nearly missed from how much she was staring at her feet. He nudged her shoulder, gaining her attention, and Luz gave a weak, nervous smile.
Alright, so he was  definitely  missing something here with his woman.
“Kitchen table,” Luz’s mom said, pointing, and the two obeyed. Hunter had no real reason to, he knew this. She was human, he could just leave, and she wouldn’t be able to stop him. But she was important to Luz, clearly, and he knew, tragically, that he’d feel guilty if he left Luz alone.
Luz sat in one of the chairs at the round table, and Hunter took the one next to her. Her mother eyed them for a moment before taking the one across from them.
“Can I just say, that I did  not  invite Hunter here--”
“Oh, so  that’s  how it's gonna be?” Hunter whirled his head to her. “Throwing  me  under the bus? Sorry I wanted to  check in.”
“I am telling it  as the truth.”  Luz insisted, glaring at him. “Would you rather I tell her that I purposefully invited you here at,” She turned towards the wall, squinting at a clock hanging there. “Two twenty-three? Why did you come here so  late?”  She demanded.
“Technically, it’s early.” Hunter corrected.
“I’m actually going to punch your teeth out.”
Rascal cheeped from his shoulder, and Hunter nodded sagely like he had said something. Rascal  could  talk to him, of course, in words that only he could hear, but he often didn’t. And the best part was that he could never prove to anyone that Rascal wasn’t shit-talking them.
“Enough,  both of you  . ” Luz’s mother said firmly, hands placed on the table that had them both straightening to attention. “Luz,” She turned to her daughter, rubbing her temple with one hand as she gestured with the other towards Hunter. “Explain him, please.”
“Like, life story, or why he’s here, or what he is, or--”
“Just  please  tell me he’s not from where I think he’s from.”
“Oh,” Luz glanced between Hunter and her mother, gears turning in her head. “He’s...not?”
“Dios ayúdame,” Her mother groaned.
“You told me to say he wasn’t! Actually,” Luz frowned as she turned to Hunter.  “Do  you count as someone from the demon realm, biologically? I don’t know how that whole, er, Grimwalker thing worked, like are you a direct clone, or--”
“I’m gonna stop you right there, because I’ve been avoiding dealing with that whole situation for the past two weeks, and I’m not about to start now.” Hunter raised a hand to cut her off.
“You…” Luz narrowed her eyes at him. “You need a therapist, dude.”
“You’re the fifth person to say that in the last week.”
“Why,”  Luz’s mother cut in again, silencing their conversation. “Is there a  demon boy  in my house?”
“I’m a witch,” Hunter corrected.
“Don’t you count as, like,  half  a--”
“What did I  just  say, Luz?”
“Right,” Luz snapped her mouth shut. “Uh, so, I’m assuming he broke in--”
Hunter groaned, gripping his head in his hands as he slouched over the table. Rascal chittered gently as he hopped off his shoulder and onto the table, nudging his arm.
“--but he wasn’t going to cause any trouble!” Luz added quickly, seeing her mothers expression continue to sour. “He just-he wanted to make sure I was alright.”
The woman eyed the two of them for a moment, and Hunter refused to look up and meet her gaze.
“Hunter, is it?” The woman said slowly, cautious, suspicious, but not accusatory.
“Yes, ma’am.” Hunter sighed, relenting to lift his head, messy hair hanging in his face.
“How old are you, exactly?”
“Mami…”
“Sixteen, ma’am.” He mumbled, resting his cheek in his hand.
“And…” She hesitated for a moment.  “How  old is that in witch years…?”
“...sixteen?” Hunter gave her a perplexed look.
“They age the same as us.” Luz assured, and her mother seemed to relax just a bit.
“Gracias a Dios por eso,” Her mother mumbled. “Alright, and how did you get in?”
“Window,” He tilted his head off towards the one in question, still open over the sink.
“Of course,” The woman muttered under her breath. “The  one  time I didn’t lock it. Okay, now what is  that?”  She gestured towards Rascal on his shoulder, and he raised his hand to let the palisman hop onto his hand.
“My palisman,” He said, settling the bird down on the table, but keeping him a far enough distance from Luz’s mom that she wouldn’t be able to grab him. “I call him Rascal. Which reminds me,” He nudged Luz’s shoulder. “Where do you keep those seeds you have for your palisman? She keeps screaming at everyone and the Owl Lady doesn’t know how to make her shut up.”
“Is she okay?” Luz straightened.
“Yeah, little jays fine, she’s just being a pain in the ass.” Hunter grimaced.
“Watch your language, young man.” Luz’s mom leveled a finger at him, and he eyed it for a moment. “Now what do you mean ‘Luz’s pailsman?’ What in the  world  is a palisman?”
“Oh, uh, nothing! Nothing important, really. Just, like, staff things.” Luz said quickly, and Hunter and Rascal shared a look. Luz loved her palisman, as bratty as she was. And he knew from experience that Luz didn’t think of palismans as ‘nothing important.’
He drew a hand around Rascal and scooted him a little closer towards himself.
“Okay, okay,” Luz’s mother inhaled a steadying breath, as though to keep her cool. “And you are breaking into my house, early in the morning, to see my daughter.”
“Really just to make sure she didn’t, like, get kidnapped on the way up here.” Hunter shrugged. “Everyone's worried about her, so I took one for the team, and all that.”
“Everyone?” Her mother frowned.
“Her...friends?” Hunter gave Luz a sideways look, and she avoided his gaze.
“Mija, you have friends in the  demon realm?”  Luz’s mom balked, with the tone of someone who didn’t quite believe it, who almost felt as though they were being tricked.
“I told you a bit about them…” Luz mumbled, shifting uncomfortably.
“You,” Her mother chuckled, shaking her head, the first sign of anything lighter than what they’d had so far. “You really can’t help but be friendly to everyone, huh?”
“It’s how she got stuck with me, it’s a real problem.” Hunter said, and got an elbow jabbed into him for his troubles, wheezing as he clutched his side.
“Well, you certainly are an...interesting acquaintance,” Her mother said slowly, eyeing him, and he barely resisted the urge to briefly flash sharpened teeth when her gaze lingered on the scar across his face again. “And you showed up, by breaking in...just to check in on Luz?”
“Yeah?” Hunter managed to cough out, cracking open an eye to give the woman a confused look compared to her suspicious, searching one. “Why else?”
“...alright.” She said, and her gaze went back to her daughter. “I wasn’t aware that there would be... situations  where the demon realm followed you  back.”
“Neither did I, really.” Luz was quick to assure, hands raised.  “Hunter  of all people being worried about me is the most confusing and touching thing that’s happened so far.”
“I was not  worried.”  Hunter whirled to her. “I only came here because everyone  else  was, and they were going to leave me out of the rescue party.”
“Rescue party?” Luz’s mother startled, and he should really learn her name.
“Aha, he doesn't mean that.” Luz waved her hands quickly.
“I do?” Hunter narrowed his eyes. “The others were planning on busting out of the portal to come find you by the end of this week. I didn’t want to be left out, so I broke in ahead of time.”
“There are demons coming  here?”  The woman exclaimed, jumping to her feet.
“Pretty sure the little rat dog is the only demon coming along.” Hunter corrected. “The others are witches.”
“You  know  his name is King.” Luz grumbled.
“Yeah, but it's way more fun to call him a rat.”
“Luz, cariño, are we going to have  more  witches breaking in?” Her mother stressed, stepping away from the table and already beginning to pace.
“Not-not when Hunter gets back to them!” Luz said, also standing. “He can tell them to hold off, that I’m fine, and all that.”
“And deal with them getting all pissy I broke out?” Hunter demanded, scooping Rascal up in his hands as he, too, stood.  “Hell  no, either they hear from me with you there, or I don’t tell them shit.”
“Watch it,” Luz’s mother warned him again, this time only giving a quick glare. “And Luz is  not  going back there.”
“Then you have two to twenty witches, plus one demon, knocking on your door.” Hunter shrugged. “What’s the big deal?”
“Luz, what did you get  into  while you were in the demon realm?” Her mother groaned, rubbing her temples.
“I mean, you didn’t ask a  lot... ” Luz tried, hovering about two feet from her mom.
“You have two to  twenty  magical demon people ready to break into our home to make sure you’re okay,” Her mother said, turning towards her daughter. “You didn’t...you didn’t tell me you had  friends  there.”
“I feel like I just said this,” Hunter squinted. “I told you Luz has friends in the Boiling Isles, isn’t that expected? She makes friends with  everyone.”
Luz rubbed her arm and looked down at the ground, and her mother’s mouth twitched downwards for a brief moment. He felt like he was missing something.
“Are all of your friends like him?” Her mother said after a moment, gesturing with a hand off towards Hunter.
“I resent what that implies,” Hunter huffed, ears pressed down as he tucked Rascal between his neck and cloak.
“I mean, personality wise? No, he’s the biggest brat of them all.” Luz assured, and Hunter visibly took offence. “Well, Matt was  also  a brat, but he’s a friend of a friend, and I think he’s calmer now.”
“They  are  annoying, though.” Hunter piped up, and prided on barely reacting under Luz’s seething glare.
“Well they can’t come  here,  your first friend has already caused enough trouble.” Her mother said firmly, and Hunter rolled his eyes at that.
“Please, breaking and entering is tame for me.” Hunter scoffed, and got an even more worried, and possibly judging, look from the woman.
“You're not helping.” Luz whispered, immediately turning back to her mother. “I’m sure we can figure this whole thing out. I can probably get Hunter to tell them to calm them down without me having to go back, Rascal can bully him into it, he likes me.”
“That’s a  low blow,  human!” Hunter hissed, a low, drawn-out sound that had the woman tensing and Luz only rolling her eyes. “I do so much for you, and  this  is the thanks I get?” He ignored Rascal’s gleeful chitters that sounded suspiciously like laughter.
“We’re  even  on that front and you  know it.”
“Debatable,”
“This is  serious,  Luz.” Her mother said, and Luz’s mouth clicked shut. “Christ,” She sighed. “Why didn’t you tell me you’d made  friends  in the demon realm?”
“You didn’t ask…?” Luz said slowly.
“I don’t see what the big deal is,” Hunter said, leaning against the island counter. “I drag Luz back, she hangs for a day or two to calm everyone down, and she comes right back to have quality family time, or whatever you guys call it, until you’re all finished.”
“Absolutely not,” Her mother said instantly. “Luz will not go anywhere  near  that portal.”
“It’s not gonna blow up, it’s stable.” Hunter raised a brow, not noticing Luz freezing up.
“Luz is  not  going back to that demon realm,” She insisted, and he was sure she would be growling if she could. “Listen, could you please just tell the other witches to stay back? I don’t want any trouble from that realm coming through here.”
“Ouch,” Hunter said dryly, twitching an ear as he crossed his arms. “Why’s this got you in a tizzy? I came here to bring back Luz anyway, why is this an issue?”
Luz and her mother met eyes for a brief second, and Hunter knew then he was missing something, because it felt like a conversation passed between their eyes and Luz ducked her head again, ashamed.
“Luz,” Her mother spoke in soft tones, though she was rubbing at her face. “You didn’t tell your  friends--”
“I was going to--”
“Luz, honey, you can’t  omit details  from people--”
“I know, I swear I was just busy trying to see you--”
Hunter set Rascal down on the island counter and gestured towards him. The palisman fluffed his wings before proceeding to peck incessantly on the counter, making a loud clinking noise. It got both humans mingling words to come to a stop as they both turned towards him.
“Hi, sorry to interrupt, but I’m still here.” Hunter said, scratching his bird's head to get him to cease once he had their full attention. “What am I missing?” He asked, pointing between the two.
“I apologize Luz hadn’t informed you earlier,” Her mother started, and Luz gripped her arms and looked away from them both, shoulders hunched. “But she won’t be going back to the demon realm.”
He stared. He blinked once, twice. He could see Rascal staring too, just barely in his line of sight.
“Come again?”
“Luz had been trapped there for so long,” Her mother went on. “And-and she was surrounded by  demons  and rain that scalded skin and-and Vee told me of Emperor’s and experiments,”
Hunter flinched at that, ears pressing flat as he turned his head to the side.
“It’s clearly not a safe place,” She continued, and her eyes dropped to his notched ear. “And...there’s much to catch up on, to talk about.” She said, in a polite tone that told him not to press that particular matter. “Surely, you can explain this to them?”
Hunter stayed silent for a moment, aware of Luz peeking at him with guilt across her features. He didn’t meet it, he knew he’d get more riled up if he did.
“Yeah, so,” Hunter said calmly, clasping his hands together. “That’s  not  happening.”
“Excuse me?” Her mother reeled back a bit.
“Listen, Miss...what are your last names again?” He asked Luz, though he still didn’t let himself fully look at her.
“Noceda,” She said, sounding confused now.
“Ms. Noceda,” He continued. “I can speak from personal experience when I tell you that the Emperor and any experiments he had are  far  beyond gone,” He said, bitterness dripping from his words. “And I--  we  have your daughter to thank for that.”
Her mother startled for a moment, opening her mouth to speak, but he plowed on.
“Half the things that made the Isles dangerous, including the very reason your daughter was late coming home, are either burnt to a crisp or in the ground.” He said, holding her gaze. “And I can tell you this, with one hundred percent sincerity, that if I go back and tell Luz’s friends that she won’t ever be coming back, you’ll have witches and demons in numbers nearing the thirties knocking on your front door.”
“Is that a threat?” The woman managed to get out first.
“With all due respect, Ms. Noceda, it’s a promise.”
“Thank you,  Hunter.” Luz was suddenly at his side, seizing his arm in a grip that felt like he was losing circulation. “That’s  enough,”  She said, giving him a warning look. “I think she gets the message.”
“Luz, what in the world is he talking about?” Her mother asked, eyes back to her child.
“It-it’s a long story, but he’s right about the Emperor!” Luz added quickly. “He’s...he’s gone, and-and I don’t think he’s coming back.”
“He won’t.” Hunter said, and left it at that.
“Luz, cariño, I’m sure we could work something out with your friends.” Her mother assured. “I’m glad a man like Vee had described is gone, but I’m sure they would understand.”
“That her mom won’t let her come back?” Hunter scoffed, and Luz tugged forcefully on his arm.
“Hunter,”  She hissed, and he looked at her then, and saw the fear practically  radiating  off her. He wondered if it was something she’d picked up from Amity or vice versa, to be brimming with emotions, but leaving them largely unnoticed until someone actually  focused.
“Look, I…” Luz hesitated for a moment. “I  promised  that I’d stay with her…” She mumbled, and the last piece clicked in his mind.
Luz had promised she’d stay, to a likely terrified mother, and Luz was never one to skimp out on promises. She either kept them or agonized over trying. And it’d make sense why she wouldn’t want to tell anyone, she promised she’d  leave forever,  and no plans or compromises from the residents of the Owl House could sate a mother worried for her daughter.
Also made sense why she wanted him to leave. Her mom did  not  seem to like the place, and him being there had to be somewhat breaking the little ‘promise’ of interacting with someone from the demon realm at all.
“Oh,” He said, instead of all that, ears pricking slightly.
“I’m sorry to have it all sprung on you without warning,” He heard her mother saying, though he wasn’t looking at her much in that moment, but she sounded genuine. “But the demon realm doesn’t necessarily seem to be...the  safest  of places.”
“It’s not,” Hunter confirmed, slowly straightening to face the woman again. “But hey,” He shrugged, feeling Luz letting up her grip on his arm. “It’s home.”
Her eyes dropped to his scar again, just for a moment, and he didn’t bother to hide his eye roll this time.
“Trust me, I’m an outlier in how deadly the place  actually  is.” He muttered. “These,” He gestured broadly to his face, not quite feeling the satisfaction he assumed he’d feel when he saw her wince. “Were caused by something  outside  the Boiling Isles, something that never should have been there in the first place. He’s gone now.” He rumbled a growl. “We made sure of it.”
She looked apologetic, and he’d give her that. But she shook her head with a sigh all the same.
“I’m sorry, truly, but Luz and I agreed, it’s not safe. I’m glad she could make friends there, I really am,” She said, and he wondered what kind of friends Luz had had in the past, because she said the word ‘friends’ like it could have five different meanings. “But it’s not safe for her.”
“And?” Hunter threw a hand out in a broad gesture. “It was never completely safe, no place is. You gonna look me in the eyes and tell me Luz would never sneak back out? I’m giving her another week at best.”
“Hunter!”
“Look, I’m  really  just trying to wrap this whole complication up,” Hunter sighed unsympathetically, aware of Rascal chirping and head-butting his arm. “Unfortunately, I  know  you, and I know you’d rather wallow in a chasm for eternity than never go back to the Isles. And as entertaining as watching a whole drama unfold would be when your mom would eventually find out, I  really  don't want to deal with that headache.” He grumbled.
Luz looked to her mother then, and her mother looked back. Luz’s hand was still clutched in his sleeve, watching her mother worriedly as she met her confused gaze.
“Luz?” Her mother said slowly, and Luz fiddled with Hunter’s sleeve.
“Mami, I...look, I didn’t...my friends, they...I don’t…”
“Hi, sorry, can-can I butt-in?”
The three whirled around, Hunter automatically putting an arm in front of Luz and taking a step back at the sight.
A basilisk lay in the doorway to the kitchen, tail curled somewhere out of sight. It was a young one, about the size of Luz. That’d work, he’d taken on bigger before, not like he had any magic for a basilisk to steal--
“Vee,” Luz’s mother breathed. “What are you doing up?”
And of  course  she was someone they knew. Amazing, wonderful, he loved being out of the loop that there was a  basilisk  casually within the house, that wasn’t unnerving at all.
“You guys aren’t very quiet,” The basilisk--Vee--shrugged as she slithered in, and Hunter took another step back, his arm in front of Luz causing her to be pushed back as well. “Hey there, uh, new guy.” She offered a small, shy wave to Hunter, and he eyed her before hesitantly returning it.
“Vee, I think you should go back to bed, we were discussing--”
“I know, I heard.” Vee brushed off Luz’s mom. “I actually have an idea for, y’know, this predicament. No offence, but I can't really sleep with you guys arguing.” She said, the wringing of her clawed hands the only sign she was nervous, stopping only when she was between them, with Luz and Hunter on one side, Ms. Noceda on the other.
“Should I be worried about this?” Hunter whispered to Luz.
“Nah, she’s cool.” Luz whispered back.
“What if, and hear me out...we all sleep on this,” Vee said, palms pressed together. “We think it over during the night, and when it's actually  light  out, we talk about Luz wanting to go back to the Isles and the rules that would have to be put in place. And also nobody breaks in.” She tacked on quickly.
“So you  do  want to go back?” Luz’s mother turned to her, and he saw the hurt and shock in her eyes.
“I…” Luz looked like she had a ‘no,’ at the back of her throat, and he truly did believe she would’ve said all her mom wanted to say. But he nudged her side, and she looked up at him, and clearly he was doing  something  with his face, because the empty assurances died out.
“Y-yeah, I do.” She mumbled, looking back to her mom. “I...really,  really  want to see them again, back in their realm.”
And he avoided looking at Ms. Noceda’s face, because the shock and pain increased significantly.
“Well, I, for one,” He said, ducking around Luz. “Agree with the lizard's plan. Sleep on it, talk in the morning with Ms. Noceda, yadda yadda, all that fun stuff.”
“Camila is fine,” The woman murmured, sounding a little dazed.
“Lizard?”  Vee hissed, tongue flickering out as she narrowed her eyes on him.
“Right, sorry, snake fits better.” Hunter said before he could stop himself.
“You have permission to beat him up.” Luz said casually, ignoring Hunter’s indignant shout of “traitor!”
“I, yes, yes,” Luz’s mother--Camila--sighed, stepping back and bracing herself against the kitchen counter. “Tonight has been...a hectic one. It’s far too late to be talking about things like this.”
“Does this mean I can go?” Hunter asked, pointing with his thumb behind him. “Preferably without alerting everyone that I snuck out?”
“I don’t know  how  you got past Hooty,” Luz sighed, tilting her head and beginning to walk towards the front door with a quick, affirming glance with her mother that both had barely managed to make, Hunter immediately following.
“I escaped through your window.” Hunter said simply, and he noted Camila looking up slightly at that, until Vee approached her, murmuring in soft words he knew better than to try and eavesdrop on.
“Of course you did,” Luz grumbled, opening the front door and practically shoving Hunter outside.
“Alright, alright, I get it, I’m leaving--”
Luz stepped out onto the front porch with him, leaving the front door open just a crack, enough so that she could be seen through it, and in turn could see Camila and Vee talking back by the kitchen.
“Am I going to get a personal lecture?” Hunter asked cautiously, crossing his arms as his ears flicked down. “Look, in my defense, you didn’t exactly explain a lot of things to  me--”
Luz lunged, and he stepped back and raised his hands defensively. Instead of a mean left hook he was expecting, he got arms wrapped around his sides, squeezing the air out of him.
Hunter wheezed, and would’ve doubled over if Luz wasn’t in the way. She didn’t let up on her hug, and after a moment of trying to get his thoughts in order, he slowly drew his arms around Luz, chin tucked against her head pressed into his chest.
“I’m glad you're okay,” Luz muffled into his shirt, and Hunter may have clung on a little tighter, aware of Rascal watching this all from his shoulder.
“Feel like you said this already.” He managed to get out.
“I know, I just wanted you to know I meant it.”
And if Hunter tilted his head down to press his face into Luz’s hair then, she didn’t say anything.
“Good to see you still kickin’, too.” He mumbled.
“Miss me?” Luz teased, throwing his words back at him as she pulled her head back slightly, and Hunter quickly did the same to look down at her.
“Hardly,” He huffed, clearing his throat to hide how it cracked halfway through. “I just didn’t want everyone leaving me out of all the fun.”
“Uh huh,” Luz raised a brow. “So you just  happened  to drop by to make sure I was alright on the one night you  actually  managed to escape the Owl House without being caught?”
“...listen--”
Luz laughed, and Hunter sputtered over his words. He growled and pushed her back and off him, knowing his face was flushing as he turned away and crossed his arms. Luz’s laughter didn’t stop at that, and Rascal sounded like he was laughing, too.
His ears drooped down and he half-heartedly bared teeth, in what may have been an attempt to hide a smile.
“You’re such a massive pain, you know that?” He growled.
“I do,” Luz grinned, laughter calming down to giggles. “I learned from the best.”
“That, you did. That Owl Lady couldn’t be more overbearing if she tried.” Hunter muttered.
“She’s got a bit of an empty nest syndrome, you get used to it.” Luz lightly nudged his shoulder. “It’s her way of welcoming you to the family.”
And he didn’t even have the time to process  that  whole sentence, because Rascal was fluttering onto Luz’s shoulder, cheeping as Luz raised a hand to scratch at his head.
“Make sure they know not to worry too much, okay?” She continued, looking up at him. “I’ll try and sort this out.”
“Does that mean you’re coming back soon?” Hunter paused, tilting his head. And maybe there was a tone of hopefulness in his tone, maybe.
Luz hesitated for a moment, frowning slightly in thought. She looked back towards the front door, though he couldn’t see if Camila or Vee were anywhere near it, what with the angle being off and Luz blocking most of it. He wondered if they could hear their conversation.
“I think so,” She said, quieter this time as she turned back to him with a small smile. “I... hope  so.”
“So do I, they’ll be insufferable without you.” Hunter teased. “Have fun thinking up how to explain to them your apparent promise.”
“Don’t remind me,” Luz groaned, throwing her head back. “Look, it was a panicked situation, and I didn’t want her any more scared than she--”
“Save it,” Hunter said, not unkindly, raising a hand to silence her. “I’ve made worse spur-of-the-moment decisions. Contrary to popular belief, I know you well enough that you’d never stay away for long. You have a habit of being a people-pleaser.”
Luz relaxed, and raised her hand to let Rascal hop onto it. She offered him back to Hunter, and he took the bird into his hands.
“Still, I’m sorry.” She said, wringing her hands together. “For all of this.”
“If all goes well, you’ll get to tell them that yourself.” He said, and attempted a smile.
“Hopefully,” Luz said, glancing back towards the door. “So, that means you’re willing to tell them what happened?” She asked, a pleading note to her voice.
“As in, I tell them that I broke out of the Owl House in the middle of the night, escaped to the human realm, found you when I  knew  they were going to do the same thing, and then came back to the demon realm  without  you, just to tell them you’ll  probably  be back soon, but I don’t know when?” Hunter said, ears lowering more and more as he spoke, raising a brow.
“...yes?” Luz tried, hands clasped behind her back as she looked up at him with wide, puppy-dog eyes.
“...I don’t know  why  I put up with you.” Hunter groaned, relenting as his shoulders slumped, letting Rascal fly up onto his shoulder.
“Because you care about me,” Luz teased in a singsong tone, her relief immediate.
“Unfortunately,” He muttered unthinkingly, before the words processed in his head. He tensed right after, eyes locked on the wall behind Luz.
She looked surprised for about half a second before she practically  lit up,  beaming excitedly at him.
“Anyway,”  He said quickly, voice higher than normal,  knowing  he was flushed up to his ears. “I should be off before your mom gets even more pissed at me.” He said, sharply turning on his heel.
Rascal was most definitely laughing at him now, and he pulled up his hood before shoving the bird into it, silencing him. He leapt down the stairs leading up to the porch, instead of walking down them like a normal person.
“Well, in her defense, you  did  break in.” Luz reminded, though there was a certain giddiness to her tone as she watched him leave.
“Like you  haven’t  done it!” Hunter scoffed behind him, beginning to hurry back towards the forest, head ducked low.
“Yes, but we don’t need to  tell  her that!” Luz hissed, voice notably quieter as she fearfully glanced back.
“No promises!” He called back, a grin forming as he picked up the pace. “Call it compensation for throwing me to the wolves!”
“Wh--Hunter!” Luz squawked indignantly.
He turned on his heel for just a moment, giving Luz a mocking salute before ducking between the trees of the forest, cackling as Luz’s calls of “don’t you  dare!”  faded behind him.
“Alright, Rascal, prepare yourself.” He said, hearing his palisman chitter from within his hood, with a hint of annoyance to it. “We’ve got a lot of explaining to do.”

Summary: Tom has an emergency meeting and asks you to babysit. You say yes, determined to get his daughter to be comfortable around you
Pairing: Dad!Tom x reader
Word count: 1516
Notes: not edited...kinda hate this but I needed to write something so I can get out of my writers block
Masterlist
“Hey I need a favor” You barely opened the door as Tom rushed into the apartment, “Can you please watch Issy while I go to this meeting?” He asked, clearly in a rush. You didn’t even notice the small child attached to his hand. You bit your lip nervously, Issy was still shy around you and Tom had never let you be alone with her.
“Are you sure you want me to do it?” You asked. He nodded his head, “I know you’ll do a great job, think of it as a day to bond with her” He smiled as he grabbed your hand, “Please it’s just a few hours”
You glanced at the shy 5 year old who was looking around your apartment. Tom had always been protective of his daughter and you knew that it was taking a lot of trust for him to leave you alone with her. You took a deep breath, “Sure I’ll watch her, it would be nice for her to not run away from me every time I’m at your house”
Tom sighed in relief, “thank you so much I’ll get back as soon as possible”. He crouched down to be face to face with Issy, “y/n is going to watch you while daddy goes to a meeting so be nice and have fun, I’ll see you when I get back” He kissed her cheek before getting up and turning to you, “she’s allergic to peanuts, her asthma medicine is in her bag, and her nap time is- ”
“ at 2:15” you interrupted him, “Tom I got this I’ll call you if anything goes wrong, you’re going to be late for your meeting”. He sighed and kissed your cheek, “I’ll be back as soon as possible thanks you”
You shut the door as he rushed out of your apartment, “So Issy what do you want to do?” She stared at you blankly not saying a word. You bit your lip, “Do you want to watch some T.V?” She ignored you, walking around your living room staring at your paintings on the wall. She pointed to one of the artworks, “that’s pretty” she mumbled
You smiled, “I made that”. Her head quickly turned to you before looking back at the wall. You sighed in disappointment, you really liked Tom and it made you sad that his daughter didn’t like you, but you were determined to bond with her one way or another. “Have you ever painted before?”
She shook her head as she sat on the couch. Her answer shocked you, your earliest memory was painting pictures for your parents to hang around the house. You smiled as an idea came to you, “Do you want to paint a picture so Daddy can hang on your wall?”
Issy smiled and nodded as she got up from the couch. “Okay but we need to go to the art store first for supplies” you said as you grabbed her coat, helping her put it on. The walk to the store wasn’t long and the second you entered Issy looked around in awe. She held your hand tightly as you guided her through the small shop, “what colors do you want?” You asked once you reached the paint aisle.
Issy started at the large shelves, “I like pink” she said as she grabbed the pink colored paint and threw it in the basket. “I like pink too” You chuckled. She smiled in amusement, “I also like green and blue” she continued until almost every color of the rainbow we’re placed in the small basket.
“Okay next we need to get you brushed and canvases” You said as she grabbed your hand. You could help but wonder if she was grabbing your hand because she didn’t want to get lost or because she trusts you. You quickly grabbed a pack of brushes and a 10 pack of canvases.
When you returned to your apartment you sat the 5 year old on the couch, letting her watch cartoons as covered the floor with trash bags and set up the paint area. “Can I paint that one?” she pointed to the art on the wall, it was a sunflower in the sky, a painting you made when you were a teen. You chuckled, “You can paint whatever you want”
It took a few minutes of her watching you before she became confident enough to grab the brush. You watched in amusement as she smeared the paint all over the canvas smiling with each stroke of the brush. You grabbed your phone quickly, sending a picture to Tom before returning back to your artwork.
After an hour of painting you both were finally finished, “Can I see?” Issy asked as you put your brush down. You turned the picture to show her the frog you made. She giggled and showed you hers. “That’s so cool” You praised as you set them on the counter to dry.
“Daddy’s gonna be mad that we got paint on our clothes” She said looking down at her stained pants and shirt. You chuckled “I have one of his shirts you can wear as a dress” She quickly stood up, rushing to grab your hand as you guided her to your bedroom. You sat her on the bed as you looked through your dresser, pulling out one of Tom’s t-shirts and handing it to her. You grabbed a change of clothes for yourself, “I’ll get dressed in the bathroom just yell if you need me”
She nodded as you left the room. You quickly changed your clothes before going to the living room to clean up. “Can we watch cartoons?” You turned around to see Issy standing tiredly in Tom’s shirt. She was way too small for it but it made her look adorable. You glanced at the clock noticing that it was around her nap time, “sure” You smiled as you turned on the T.V.
You both sat on the couch quietly watching Curious George. You glanced at the small children when you heard a yawn leave her mouth, as she laid down her head landing on your lap. You smiled to yourself, happy that she was somewhat comfortable with you.
////
Tom was worried. You hadn’t answered any of his calls and weren’t texting him back. He knew you would never do anything to hurt Issy but he was afraid something bad had happened to the both of you. He quickly made an excuse to leave the meeting early and rushed to his car. Thankful that your apartment was only a few blocks away.
He tried calling you again, his anxiety only increasing when you didn’t pick up. “Come on y/n” he whispered to himself as he parked his car. He looked around his car trying to find the spare key you gave him.
As he reached your apartment he listened carefully from the other side of the door, only hearing the faint sounds of curious george. He quickly unlocked the door, sighing in relief when he saw the both of you on the couch asleep.
He couldn’t help but smile at how adorable you both looked cuddled on the small couch. He quickly took a picture before kneeling down, “Wake up sleepy head” he whispered as he kissed your forehead. Your eyes shot open quickly, “what’s wrong? Where’s the kid?”
“Babe you’re literally holding her calm down” Tom chuckled, “You didn’t answer my calls so I left the meeting early to come a check on you”
You let out a deep breath as you rubbed your eyes, “We must’ve fallen asleep watching cartoons”
“Yeah well I gotta take her home my mom wants her to spend the night” Tom smiled as he moved to wake up the sleeping child. “Issy it’s daddy wake up we gotta get you to grandma’s”
She groaned and rubbed her eyes, “But I want to stay” she said in a sleepy whisper. Your heart swelled at how adorable she was. Tom chuckled in surprise, “You can come back another time grandma made brownies”
She let out a sigh as she slowly climbed off the couch to get her coat, “why is she wearing my shirt” Tom asked in confusion. “We painted today” She said happily as you moved to get the dried pictures. You handed it to the excited child who quickly showed it to her father, “It’s a flower” she said
Tom chuckled, “it’s amazing sweetie, we’ll hang it in your room when we get home”. He stood up quickly pulling you into him by the hips, “thank you for watching her”
“No problem", You smiled and gave him a quick kiss, “I actually had a great time” You pulled away from him as you felt a small tug on your shirt. You looked down watching as Issy hugged your leg, “Can we paint again?”
You chuckled, “Next time we see each other we’ll hang out and get ice cream okay”. She smiled and hugged you again before grabbing her fathers hand. You waved goodbye as they left the apartment.

Taking Chance Ch. 15: Problem Solving (Last name: Wayne)
AO3
Prev
Walking into class after lunch break, Marinette keeps her head down. No need to bring attention to the fact that she’s late...again. Sliding into her seat, she breathes a sigh of relief that Mme. Bustier is also late. Probably making copies. Either way, it had saved her from getting in trouble for being late again. Opening her bag to take out her stuff, she winces as Lila’s voice pierces the room.
“And then, he said he missed me so much that he cried!” She exclaims, clutching her hands together and sighing. Marinette rolls her eyes, certain that whoever it is either doesn’t actually know Lila, or doesn’t know Lila. Either way….lie.
“I still can’t believe you’re official with THE Tim Drake!” Alya exclaims. Marinette immediately chokes on air, her entire face turning bright red as she coughs and attempts to catch her breath. It doesn’t help that everyone is suddenly staring at her and waiting to see if she’s okay. The story pops back into her mind. Yeah, sure Lila. Tim Drake is dating you- an annoying little kid. Sure.
“Are you okay?” Rose asks once Marinette finally catches her breath. She smiles awkwardly, not ready for a confrontation with Lila over this, but also wary to let anyone spread this specific rumor.
“Yeah, it’s just-” Marinette pauses and sighs. This wouldn’t be the high road, but she had to watch out for her brother. “I’m just not sure Lila is telling the truth.” Chaos erupts around her. She chances a glance at Adrien, surprised to see his supportive smile. Well, almost. They had gotten closer. And sure, he’s said he liked her in Gotham, but she kinda thought he just blurted it out after seeing she was Ladybug. She wasn’t quite sure if he actually liked her.
“I-I just don’t understand why you hate me!” Lila sobs.
“I don't-” Marinette tries to say. Keyword- tries.
“Girl, you should apologize. Lila's been talking about Tim since before we even went to Gotham! They’re super serious now. They have been for almost two years.” Alya says.
“No they’re not! Do you seriously think an almost twenty year old CEO would date some fifteen year old kid from halfway across the world? I doubt Tim’s ever even been to Italy or France since becoming Co-CEO.” Marinette rambles, knowing with absolute certainty that she was right.
“Marinette! You’re kind of being mean. Lila says-” Rose tries to say.
“Just because Lila said something doesn’t mean it’s true!” Marinette cries, her frustration threatening to overwhelm her.
“Girl, you seriously need to apologize.” Alya says softly. Marinette’s jaw drops.
“For what?” She scoffs, throwing her arms up in exasperation. “For seeing the truth and calling it out? For not bending to Lila’s every whim?”
“For being a bad friend.” Alya says simply. Marinette freezes. A bad friend? Really? Her? A bad friend? How? All she’d ever done was try to be good. To be nice. To be perfect.
“Whatever.” She finally says, standing and grabbing her stuff. She storms out of the room, ignoring the yells of protest from her classmates. She thinks she hears Adrien, but she ignores him too and continues on her rampage past everyone, including Mme. Bustier. She doesn’t stop until she’s in the basement of the school. The only thing down here were a few vending machines. She tries to calm herself down, knowing her anger is unnecessary. But it’s hard.
She wants to let herself be mad, she should be able to be mad about this! She was always trying to be  a good friend and do things for other people and help the class even when she didn’t have time. Even if it meant missing out on sleep or doing something she wants to do, she put them first. Always. But somehow, Lila came out on top. She always comes out on top. They always believed Lila. Always.
“You should leave Marinette, before you attract an akuma.” Tikki says calmly. Marinette blinks, trying to figure out- Oh. Kaalki. Duh. Quickly calling on her transformation, Marinette portals into her room at the manor before a butterfly can come infect her. The second she lands, she calls off her transformation and continues her pacing.
“I’ve always been there for them. Always helped them. Always cared. How is calling Lila out being a bad friend? She’s not even my friend!” Marinette rambles with a huff.
“Maybe you should talk to your family- get their opinions.” Tikki suggests. Marinette starts to turn her down, then realizes she has to say something. Lila’s telling lies about Tim. Lies that could get him in some serious trouble.
“I have to tell Tim! If Alya publishes anything about Lila and Tim he could get in a LOT of trouble.” Marinette rambles, throwing her door open. She blinks in surprise at Tim, standing there frowning with a huge cup of what she assumes is coffee.
“When’d you get here?” He asks, and she can tell he’s much too tired to take this seriously right now.
“I’ll fill you in later, Timmy. Get some sleep.” She says, giving him a quick hug before darting around him and down the stairs. She had to tell someone who could deal with it. Not that she wanted Lila to get in trouble or anything like that, but...she didn’t want them to be able to lie about her family anymore. She’d accept all of those other stupid lies if she just stopped lying about the Waynes.
Running past the ballroom, a sudden movement makes her backtrack and actually glance into the ballroom. Her eyes widen when she notices the movement she caught was Dick….hanging from the chandelier. Of course. Well, he’s not going to be much help, she thinks, shaking her head and turning to try and find someone else. Maybe Mr.- maybe her dad was around. Now if she was a superhero/co-CEO combo where would she spend her free time. She hums, before deciding to check his study. If he wasn’t in there, she’d just go through and check the Batcave. He had to be in one of those places. She knocks on his study door, completely expecting silence, so she’s confused when she hears him call:
“Come in.” She raises an eyebrow. Okay, so he is in the study. Pushing the door open, she smiles at him, rubbing the back of her neck nervously at the brief look of complete and total shock on his face.
“Uh, hi Dad.” She says, rocking back onto her heels nervously. He controls his face quickly, gesturing for her to shut the door.
“Marinette. When did you arrive?” He asks, carefully examining her. She turns red when she realizes- he’s looking for injuries. Since going back to Paris, she hadn’t really communicated with her family unless she was injured or unable to fight. Promising herself to change that, she sits in the chair in front of his desk.
“Five minutes ago, maybe? I’m not sure. I just-” She pauses and frowns, realizing that her emotions almost got the better of her today. She almost let her frustration win. Over something silly. Shaking the thoughts away, she says “I was upset. Lila was lying again and usually I can just ignore her but this time… She was telling everyone that she’s dating Tim, and that they’re really serious and have been for almost two years.” Her dad’s eyebrows twitch slightly.
“Isn’t Lila your age?” He asks.
“Well, she’s already fifteen. But still, it would put Tim in a really bad light if Alya posted it somewhere and knowing Alya, she’s going to post it. Because they all believe Lila. And I tried to explain to them that Tim is quite a bit older than us and he’s an actual CEO and we’re just kids to him and he hasn’t even been in Italy or France and-” She pauses, letting herself take a breath. “I just think it’s wrong for her to lie about my family.”
---
Bruce tries hard to hide his shock. His daughter, who he’d known for less than two months, came all the way to Gotham because someone lied about Tim. It wasn’t the first time someone lied about the Wayne family, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last time. But the fact that his daughter was so upset that she had to come here...he was not going to let this slide. Wayne manor was a safe place, so he would make sure Marinette was able to breathe and relax a little before going home. And he was going to plan a way to stop the lies, to help Marinette.
“How can I help?” He asks, wanting to help but also wanting to make sure he does not overstep. He had heard her explaining to Damian why she let the girl get away with so many lies- it was an attempt to stop a mass akumatization. Bruce also wanted to avoid something like that, which is why he would follow his daughter’s lead.
“I don’t know! I know if I reveal everything it’s- it’s gonna be bad. I don’t know if we’d be able to handle something like that right now. Two of our temporary holders, people I trust a lot, are out of town. I don’t really trust anyone else and I’m certain we’d need their powers for the fallout from Lila’s kingdom falling.” She explains, bouncing her leg up and down as she glances around the room, possibly to come up with a plan. Bruce knew that he used a similar method when he was younger.
“What about the rumors related to the family? Do you think it would be safe to end those?” He asks, a plan beginning to form. But he’d have to get her permission. It would change many things.
“Well….yes. Yes, I think it would be safe. And even if it wasn’t, I know the fallout wouldn’t be anywhere as bad as if some of the other lies came to light.” She says. Bruce nods.
“Very well. Marinette, I believe I have something that might work, but I’m unsure if you’ll agree.” He says.
“We tell them I’m a Wayne.” Marinette says simply. Bruce blinks in surprise. It had definitely been what he was thinking, but thinking it and hearing his daughter say it out loud as if it was the most simple thing ever, those were two completely different things. He’s silent, trying to gather his words again when Marinette chuckles nervously. “I mean, we could say that I know you guys. Cause that’s not a lie.” She says. He sighs, realizing that his silence may have hurt her.
“Marinette, honey, you’re a Wayne. I want you to be one, and if you do as well, then of course we can tell them. I can even arrange for nondisclosure statements to be signed by the students in your class and the faculty. In case you’re not quite ready for the entire world to know.” He says quietly, hoping his voice is soft enough to reassure her. Her tense shoulders fall as she relaxes, her smile easing back into a natural one. Good. He didn’t mess up this time.
“Can we really do that? I do want to be a Wayne, it’s just. I’m not sure I’m ready for the world to look at me.” She says quietly. At this, he quirks a smile.
“If Adrien Agreste’s father is able to get an entire school to sign NDA’s about the boy’s lunch habits, I’m certain that having them sign an NDA when it’s for your safety will be no issue. Besides, if anyone breaks the NDA with malicious or ill intent, we can sue them.” He says simply.
“Oh, well, suing them seems a bit much.” She mumbles. He’s about to argue, when she shrugs. “But it also makes sense. Let’s do this.” He’s instantly proud of the determined look in her eyes. From saving her city to fighting lying bullies, his daughter was so much stronger than she thought.
---
Walking into class the following Monday was nerve wracking. It was almost the end of the school year, so she could’ve asked her Dad to wait until the next year to fix it. But she didn’t want to chance Lila lying about Tim all summer. Or anyone else in her family. Lila could use anyone else- even MDC- to get ahead, Marinette didn’t care. But she was done with Lila using her family. Originally, she had wanted to just do it quietly. Tell the teacher and have her pass out the forms. That’s probably how she would have done it too if her brothers hadn’t found out.
Now, her entire family was coming. She was cautious, but they promised to keep their emotions in check while they were in town. And they could always portal out if things got too tense. But, her brothers were drama queens. So it just made sense that they wanted to give her class the papers in person. She suspected Tim also wanted the chance to glare at Lila in person, and she wasn’t about to deny him that.
“Okay class! We have a few guests coming in today. They’ll be here in a couple minutes and I want you all to give them your full attention and respect.” Mme. Bustier announces, clapping her hands to get their attention. Marinette lets out a shaky breath. Here goes nothing. She tunes out the chatter of her classmates, keeping her eyes on the door. Waiting. Watching. Finally, she sees their shadows outside and her leg starts bouncing. Maybe she shouldn’t have let all of them get involved….
“Oh my god! That’s Bruce Wayne!” Alya yells as her family walks in. Marinette winces slightly at the instant fangirling from many of her classmates. She risks a glance at Lila and tries not to laugh at how pale the Italian girl had gotten. In fact, she looked a little green.
“Hello everyone! My name is Bruce Wayne, though I think you all should remember me from your trip to Gotham.” He says with a wide (fake) smile. Marinette wrinkles her nose. She doesn’t like this fake side of her Dad. She’d much rather watch him be overly serious than use that weird fake smile.
“We’ve brought some forms for everyone in this class to sign, as well as the faculty. The rest of the school won’t be required to sign these forms because it is assumed that what we are about to tell you will not go outside of this room.” Tim starts to explain, no coffee in his hand for once. “I know that it will not go outside of this room because these are NDAs, and we can and will take legal action against anyone who tells someone outside of this room about this information.” Everyone is silent, and while Marinette herself feels tense, she notices that most of her class just looks excited. Except Adrien, who was glancing back at her and looking worried. They’d already talked about this, but he was still worried. He seemed to think that this was one of her worst ideas, but honestly, Marinette didn’t care. She wanted to be able to (kind of) openly accept the other half of her family.
“Oh my god, is Tim about to propose?” Alya loudly whispers to Lila. Marinette can’t help it. She snorts. Out loud. Her face instantly heats as the entire room turns to look at her.
“Oh, uh, sorry?” She says, though it’s definitely more of a question than a statement. She wasn’t sorry.
“I am not about to propose. I’m actually not currently seriously seeing anyone, but there is a boy back home who I’ve had a few dates with.” Tim says. Marinette watches as Alya tries to say something, only to be stopped by Nino gently patting her hand and shaking his head. Good. Maybe they’d get through this without anyone getting akumatized. She glances at Lila again, rolling her eyes at the obviously fake upset look on her face. Is she seriously acting like Tim is cheating on her? In front of Tim? How dumb is she?
“I actually came to have everyone sign an NDA since my youngest daughter is in your class.” Her dad says, metaphorically dropping the bomb. He didn’t just drop it though, he chucked it at the class. The effect is immediate, the entire class erupting in whispers. Mme. Bustier tries, without luck, to gain control of the class. Marinette watches as Damian, who looked ready to murder any and all of her classmates, whistles an insanely high pitch. Wincing slightly, she makes eye contact with him and quirks an eyebrow. He shrugs, but it had been successful. The class was silent once again.
“When is she starting here?” Alya asks, obviously going into reporter mode. Marinette makes eye contact with her Dad, watching as he barely quirks an eyebrow, a silent question. One last chance to back out. She nods for him to continue. She wanted this.
“She actually already goes here. She just decided it was time to embrace the Wayne name.” He says, nodding at her. Marinette lets out a grounding breath and stands, quickly moving over to stand by her brothers. She tries to hide her hands behind her back, knowing they’re shaking like crazy. She positions herself between Dick and Jason, instantly able to relax as the feeling of safety washes over her. The class is completely silent, and Marinette isn’t sure if they don’t understand or if they’re in shock. She’s not sure which would be better.
“What?” Alya asks, barely audible.
“Marinette is my daughter, I am her biological father. She’s a Wayne. And you all have been provided with an NDA about her identity, so that she can remain safe and anonymous to the rest of Paris. Your parents have already agreed and signed both their forms and forms giving you all permission to sign a form. They all understand the importance of this secret, and I urge every single one of you to take this seriously.” Her dad says, giving the class another wide (fake) smile. She lays her head on Dick’s arm, relieved that her class instantly starts signing the forms. No outbursts right now, no possible akumas forming. Nothing. It was a relief, it was freeing. She was certain that it was going to come back and bite her- sooner rather than later if the look on Lila’s face was anything to go by- but for right now, everything was calm. And her family was supposed to stay in Paris for another day, so she’d finally be able to let three of her parents meet in person. It was nice. It was safe.

xWicked Romance : Chapter 4 : He’s cute.
Tumblr media
Character : Mob!Steve Rogers x Retired Assassin Female Reader
Summary : Steve was hoping to meet the right one until he met her. But is he ready to be with her? He thought his life already dark because of his job. He wouldn’t able to find a woman that strong enough to face the hardship to stand beside him. Turn out his life is nothing compared to her.
Warning : No smuts, since I don’t know how to write it. Peace y’all.
Tumblr media
Steve woke up because he felt someone softly brushing his hair. He opened his eyes, finding her hand stopped. Both of them are lying on his bed.
Her head still laying on his arm, he move her body closer to feel her warmth. He bury his head into the crook of her neck and mumbled "Don't stop."
“That’s a nice way to wake me up.” His voice sounded deeper and raspy.
(Y/N) chuckled softly when she heard his voice. “You’re too excited last night.”
She suddenly turned her body and jumped off the bed.
“Where are you going?” Steve was surprised that she's easily escape from his arms.
“Stay there; I’ll be back.”
When she left the room, Steve noticed she was wearing his shirt and boxer.
The smell of bacon and pancakes made him look at his door. She came in, bringing a tray filled with food, a glass of water, egg, bacon, pancake, and coffee. It's been a while since he had breakfast in his own house.
Steve is confused if today is his birthday or not? He never got pampered like this. Usually, it was him the one who did this kind of thing. Not the other way around.
He sat up, the blanket only covering his waist this time. (Y/N) gently put the food tray on his lap. She saw Steve had a confused expression on his face.
“You need a big breakfast to start your day.” (Y/N) said.
“How did you manage to do all of this?” Steve asked after he finished drinking water.
“Because I woke up too early. I made breakfast for both of us.” (Y/N) said, walking in with another tray of foods. She sat beside him and kissed his side lips. “You completely tired me out last night.”
Steve gave a loud laugh; he never could imagine a girl like (Y/N) not just brave but also good at cooking. He didn’t notice she was able to slip out from his arm. Because of his habit he got from the military, Steve could get awake so easily even with a small voice and movement.
Both of them enjoy their breakfast together, a few dirty jokes there but not much since it’s still early in the morning. After that, they have another hot session in the bathroom. (snu snu time.)
The time they spent together (Y/N) told Steve he is free to ask anything from her. She’s pretty sure if she tells him everything about how she grows up, he wouldn’t believe any word that came out of her mouth.
Steve doesn’t mind it; he prefers her life to be mysterious. She never failed to give him a surprise. He likes her spontaneity. Perhaps some day she could give him a heart attack.
While they put on their clothes (Y/N) phone vibrates with a pop message from Peter saying he’s downstairs to pick her up.
“Do you have to go?”
Steve felt the time was not enough when she told him that she needed to go.
“Come on, just stay a bit more,” Steve asked her with a pleading tone. He holds her wrist when she is ready to go out. (Y/N) saw his puppy eyes couldn’t help blurting out, “So cute.”
Steve get worried; no one would dare to call him the mafia boss cute. At the moment, he questioned his masculinity. In which part she saw him cute.
“I have too.” Her finger caressed his cheeks and touched his beard. “Let’s have dinner tonight. Okay?”
Steve answered, “Alright, see you tonight.” Before he released her, he gave a surprise kiss on her lips.
With hazy eyes, he pulls away while (Y/N) is still shocked with the kissed “Wow.”
Steve chuckled and winked at her. “That’s a sneak peek for tonight.”
(Y/N) smiled, she doesn’t want to light a fire from Steve. She closed the door and left the house.
When she walked out, (Y/N) saw two older couples get out of a car. She knew who it was. They are Steve’s mother, Sarah Rogers, and the former mafia boss Joseph Rogers.
She looks at them as a couple; they look lovely together. But (Y/N) noticed when Sarah looked at her, she became a scary mother in law like on the TV.
Sarah walk like a lady and stop infront of her. She told (Y/N), “Listen carefully. Regardless of what happens between you two. I can’t accept you. I know you are different from any other woman. Even if you can stop Brock with just one bullet, I’m not going to let some girl use my son again.”
After she said her words, Sarah turned and left (Y/N) alone while Joseph finally followed her.
Sarah walks too fast; she turns and talks to her husband, “Is she still looking?”
Joseph glanced through his shoulder “Yeah, and she’s waving at us.”
Sarah was bewildered. “What kind of woman Steve got into this time?” She thought the woman would get angry, but it turned out she’s still there and waved at them.
“First, it’s a C.I.A then a journalist. Now what?” Sarah sighed.
Joseph also feels the same way as his wife. Their son picks a girl that always reveals their business. It’s pretty funny seeing his wife getting so worked up.
“Alright, don’t get mad. Let’s meet our son.” Joseph hugged his wife's shoulder.
When the bell rang, Steve hoped it's (Y/N) the one who stands in front of his door. He didn’t even check the monitor; he quickly opened the door.
"You're back…." Steve didn’t even finish his speech. His smile dropped when he saw his parents.
"Stevie." Sarah hugs him.
"Mom? Dad? What are you- AHHH!!!”
Steve hissed when his mother pinched his chest. He looked at his father with a look of ‘What’s all that about?’
Joseph answered, “We met her when we arrived.”
Steve finally understands why his mother became moody this morning.
“I can see why you like her. She seems different.” Joseph whispered at his son while Steve nodded all the time.
Sarah suddenly jumped in. “Are you sure she’s good for you? What’s her job? Please don’t tell me she’s a lawyer or a judge?”
Steve patted her back to calm her down. “Mom, calm down; I’m not dating from that side this time. She’s an analyst in automotive for a private company.”
“Ooh, that explains the nice car,” Joseph murmured. Sarah glared at her husband.
“I hope you don’t get a heartbreak this time.” Sarah felt pity towards her son, Steve could be scary when he’s mad, but when he’s sad, he looks like a golden retriever puppy.
He understands why his mother asked him this cause she saw how broken he was when his relationship ended with Peggy.
####
From day one, they have obstacles because of their jobs. Peggy stands to abide by the law while he already saw how corrupt and hypocritical the government is. He saw his comrade die for nothing.
His world almost crumbled when he found out that Peggy was ready to put his family into jail. And the most hurtful thing is that she did that to get a promotion.
'What am I to you?' He asked her this question. She was unable to give him the answer.
####
But behind the thunder, there’s a rainbow; his mother, Sarah, she used to not give a damn about what Steve and her husband did in mobster stuff. When she found out her son got used, she went livid.
She told her son to make them regret treating him like that. Sarah knows her son is a mobster, his life is always related to dark stuff, but he always makes sure to treat his own woman like a queen.
And right now, he knew he moved too fast with (Y/N), but he felt like she shares the same value with him.
.
.
.
In the afternoon, Steve is in the car with Sam and Bucky. They’re heading to the hospital right now.
Steve was looking at the window; he could see his reflection. He suddenly remembered what (Y/N) said in the morning, “Guys.”
Bucky and Sam ‘Hmmm’ at the same time.
“Do I look cute?”
Sam stops the car abruptly. Suddenly everything became silent. While Bucky cursed, “What the f#%* Steve?”
“Alright, the answer is pretty clear.” Steve scoffed, he doesn’t want to continue; their reaction is enough for him.
Sam and Bucky are confused because their friend just asks them nonsense questions.
“Well, we have arrived,” Sam said; he looked at Bucky. “You follow him; I will stay here. Make sure he doesn't get plastic surgery.”
Steve rolled his eyes and got out of the car with Bucky.
“Is she the one who said you’re cute?”
Steve nodded.
“Hmm, you completely whipped. Well Steve, I completely understand,” Bucky tells him they’re in the same position since he’s with Natasha.
Both of them stopped at the V.I.P patient room. They saw two bodyguards standing in front of the door. The bodyguard steps away when Steve approaches them. One of the bodyguards opened the door for him.
Steve turns to Bucky. “Wait here.”
“Sure.”
Steve walked into the room; he thought Brock still fainted. It turns out he’s awake and eating.
Brock was wearing a neck brace, his two legs wrapped in a cast, his left arm also wrapped in a cast, and his elbow fractured.
Brock lifted his head when he saw Steve. He clicked his tongue.
“Your girlfriend almost killed me.”’
“Huh?” Steve responded.
Steve didn’t know that (Y/N) visited Brock before him.
####
What happened 4 hours ago
It was Peter who picked up (Y/N) at Steve’s place with her car.
She gets into the car and puts on her seatbelt. “Let’s go back to my apartment first; I need to change my clothes. I have to meet someone later.”
“Who?”
“A friend, he got into an accident last night.”
“Hmm.”
When they arrived at her place, Peter asked, “Let me guess your sick friend is Brock?”
“Yes.”
Peter shook his head. “Poor guy.”
.
.
At the hospital.
Brock is feeling drowsy because of the painkiller. Because of the car crash, his neck got the impact.
He saw a shadow figure in front of him, “You!!!”
“Good afternoon Rumlow.”
“Hmph!!!” Brock wants to strangle her; he remembered her from last night.
(Y/N) walked closer to his infusion bottle; she took out something from her pocket.
“Wha--”
“You see, Rumlow, I kinda like Steve, but the Tom & Jerry fight between you and him has to stop. I don’t want you to appear and ruined the romantic moment like last night.”
Brock finally could see what she’s holding in her hand. (Y/N) notices he is looking at the syringe that she has.
“What inside this syringe could put you to sleep forever. You know what I’m capable of, right?”
Brock cursed, “#$%^*!!!”
(Y/N) nodded. “Correct, so if you still want to leave, just stay 1 million km from us, okay?”
Brock defeatedly answered, “Okay.”
“Great, go back to rest.” She opens the cap of the syringe and injects it into his infusion bottle.
“Bi*$#!!”
“Relax, it’s just another painkiller for you.” After she said that, Brock eventually fell asleep.
When he woke up, his bodyguard gave him a food container with a small note 'I'm sorry, she’s pretty scary.'
####
Back to the present
Really?” Steve was astounded.
“Your new girl is crazy.” Brock clicked his tongue. He can’t imagine having a girlfriend like (Y/N).
In Steve’s mind, her threat towards Brock is nothing. His heart fluttered when he knew what she did for him. Never in his life, a woman would threaten his rival for him. He never get spoiled like this.
Steve chuckled; he got up from the chair and mumbled on the way out of the hospital ward, remembering what (Y/N) had done for him “My cute devil.”
He finds it cute, though; he never had a brave enough girlfriend to threaten his rival. He used to be the one who protects his girl.
Steve wants to meet her again; lucky for him, she texts him first and gives her location.
.
.
.
Steve arrived at the high-end restaurant that, even for him, it’s difficult to book a table. She won’t stop giving him a surprise. He saw her wearing a dress that fitted her figure. She looked beautiful and confident.
“(Y/N).”
(Y/N) raised her face gently, the corner of her lips moving upward when she saw him.
Steve felt like he could drown in it. Both of them had dinner together. While they’re eating, he needs to say something important to her. They were having wine when he grasps her hand. It made her look at him.
He has to say it to give her the chance to walk away “(Y/N); I like you. I feel a connection between us. But being with me means sometimes you will be facing unexpected things. I know you are strong, but I don’t want you to get hurt.”
She tilted her head a little and looked at Steve in front of her. She pinched his chin lightly. “Steve, I don’t care how many enemies you have.”
“I will kill them one by one.”
She wasn’t saying a flirty line towards him instead of a deadly one. Everyone said she’s scary, but for him, she’s a great blessing in his life.
“You know that I’m capable. I don’t mind working as your partner. Not just as your girlfriend.”
‘Thump!’ Steve's heart fluttered when he heard that word.
“Girlfriend?”
“You don’t want to?” (Y/N) raised her eyebrows.
Steve quickly answered, “Please be my girlfriend.” It would be crazy to decline it; he wants to show the world that she belongs to him. He’s afraid if he’s too late, she will slip away from his finger. To put it more plainly, Steve may not have met another woman like (Y/N).

“Oh fuck. Oh fuck. She’s going to Morocco.”
There was something in Steve’s throat, making his voice waver and sound reverent at the same time.
“She’s going to Morocco.” Billy pressed his hand down Steve’s back, dragging his fingertips along his skin, surprisingly smooth and soft.
Steve had his head on Billy’s chest, their bodies stuck together uncomfortably with sweat, but neither of them could be assed to move.
They were wrapping up their little movie night, Almost Famous playing to a close on Steve’s laptop, perched on the kitchenette counter, just where they could see it from the bed.
“Okay, that was really good.”
“I fucking told you. My mom showed me that movie when I was, like, eight. Shit changed me fundamentally.”
Steve shifted his leg a little bit but stayed silent. Billy could feel his muscles tensing uncomfortably.
“What?”
“What what?”
“I can tell you’re tense.”
“I just,” Steve sighed. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you mention your mom before.”
“Yeah. Don’t really like talking ‘bout her.”
“Did she, you know ?”
Yeah. Billy did know.
“Nah, she didn’t die. She left. Not long after that movie night.”
Steve’s head popped up from where it was rested on Billy, giving him those big fuckin’ eyes looking sappy and sad as all hell.
“I’m sorry.”
Billy didn’t know what to say to that.
He doesn’t tell people about his mom. About her lovely life that she’s built without him in it.
It breaks his heart just to think about.
“She’s got kids now. A husband.”
“I don’t know what to say. I’m just. Sorry.”
“I don’t know what I want to hear. But yeah. T’sucks.”
“You wanna know something that makes me sad? So we’re even?”
Billy huffed a laugh through his nose, bringing his hand up to tuck some of Steve’s messy hair behind his ear.
“Only if you wanna tell me.”
“Remember how I said I was supposedta get my high school diploma soon? Well, by soon I mean, like, maybe within the next few years.” Steve wasn’t meeting Billy’s eyes, and he put his head back down on his solid chest, his shoulders tensing up around his ears. “I never went to school. Not even when I was little. I’ve had the same tutor on the road since I was a kid, and he’s good. Tries his best. I just. I’m- not good . I’m not smart. You need to pass this test to get your high school GED if you’ve taken an ‘ alternative route ’. Like I have. But I can’t take it until I know the shit that’s on it, and my tutor, Scott, he’s too nice. Says I’m okay. That I’m on track. But I saw the program he teaches from. Says it’s for ninth and tenth graders. I’m nearly nineteen, and I’m in fucking ninth grade .”
Oh fuck.
Oh fuck .
Billy’s 98.6% sure Steve is fighting back serious tears right now.
It was crushing Billy’s soul and making him feel like he was gonna join right on in.
But for how much Billy is a goddamn little crybaby, he sure is useless when other people start crying.
“It’s, Steve- that’s not your fault. You’ve literally never gone to school. Plus, like, I’m sure you don’t do your tutoring like I did school. Five days a week for like seven hours since I was five or something. You’ve been. Busy. You travel around and do all these amazing things, and, and, you're not dumb. Your parents just chose to not put you in school and then got mad when that didn’t work out as planned. It’s got nothin’ to do with your brain.”
This is gonna sound shitty.
And Billy really doesn’t mean it like that.
It’s just, well. Billy didn’t realize Steve was so. Fucked up.
Traumatized. Might be a less harsh word for it.
Billy just never woulda thought, when he first watched Steve ride like a fucking expert, or when he first noticed him strutting around the grounds of the rodeo, that there was actually something really sad behind that denim and flannel.
It made something in Billy’s gut twist and turn.
Because he’s the exact same way.
Because underneath the layer of carefully maintained hot muscle-head douchebag jock, there’s a really sensitive boy who was abandoned by his mother and gets regular hits from his father.
He can’t really decide if being able to see through Steve is a good thing or a bad thing, though.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to act like a fucking baby over it. I never really talk about it, so I guess the bad shit just kinda all decided to explode out all over you.”
“Nah, Pretty Boy. S’okay. I’m used to bad shit.”
“That sounds ominous.”
“I meant it more in a bummer way, I guess.”
“I am sorry about your mom. It seems like you really loved her.”
Little bastard had brought it back around to Billy’s shitty baggage now.
The gorgeous little dickhead.
“I do.”
And that’s probably the worst thing about it.
All these years of feeling abandoned and forgotten. Of trying to make himself hate her, he still loves her so much.
He is her.
So much of himself modelled around the aspects of her he found most beautiful.
The things, try as he might, he can’t help but love.
Billy felt Steve take a large deep breath on top of him.
“Do you, like, talk to her much?”
“Nah. Should be getting a FaceBook message for my birthday next week. And then nothing ‘til Christmas. That’s how it goes with her.” She was literally the only reason Billy still kept his FaceBook account around.
Mostly because when he was feeling sorry for himself he’d go over to her profile and peruse the album labelled “Family ❤️” until he felt worse.
“I’m sorry.”
“Quit apologizin’. Not your fault she couldn’t handle it all.”
“Was she really young, or something?”
“Yeah. It was a case of too young and her own shitty father giving her enough issues to make her wanna marry the first asshole that told her she was pretty.” He’s never said all of this out loud.
But he couldn’t. Stop. Talking.
“Then when he turned out to be a bigger dick than she imagined, she split. Basically fell off the Earth for a few years. Served my dad divorce papers out of the blue one day. Now, she’s got a family that doesn’t suck, and barely spares any thought for the kid she left down south. Not that I blame her.”
He does, and he doesn’t.
It’s an odd situation.
He blames Neil for everything, when he’s thinking clearly.
He pushed his mother away with the same violence, the same painful rage he shows Billy.
But he also blames her.
She could’ve taken him before she scrammed. Could’ve fought for custody over him while she and his father met for Skype calls with their lawyers to settle the divorce.
Their split was easy, because she didn’t want anything.
Not their house, not their belongings.
Not their son.
“Wow. I thought my family was fucked up. Not to be rude, or anything.” Steve flushed, but he had the ghost of a smirk on his face.
“Every family is fucked up. Just in different ways.”
“I guess you’re right. I should probably get my head outta my ass and quit bein’ so selfish, then.”
Billy smiled fondly at Steve.
“You’re not selfish. Just don’t got a lot of outlets, I assume.”
Steve nodded, and Billy understood.
He doesn’t either.
The only person he even considers close enough to vent to, is Max. And even then, he doesn’t tell her all of it. Not nearly any of it.
She knows he’s gay only because she knows Neil’s a fucking homophobe. She knows he gets beat only because Neil does it in front of her. She knows his mom left only because sometimes Neil gets drunk and spits in Billy’s face that it’s all his fault she’s gone.
But she doesn’t know that Billy agrees with Neil on that last bit.
That maybe if he fought for her better-
Got in between her and Neil when he was goin’ in rough and hard on her down in the kitchen, instead of hiding under his bed with his hands pressed over his ears.
He’s got no one to work through all this shit with, and by the sounds of things, Steve hasn’t got anyone either.
And maybe that’s what they could be.
For each other.
Billy shook himself.
“You wanna start your movie?” He asked Steve, trying to redirect the evening back to their Favorite Movie Double Feature, and out of Billy’s Hopeless and Has Feelings territory.
Because time was ticking down.
And no matter how much Billy felt like Steve was the perfect compliment to his frayed and ragged soul.
Steve was leaving.
Steve was always leaving.

NO ONE ASKED BUT IM HERE TO SUPPLY ANYWAY!
sero hanta headcanons for the soul
- asexual, pan-romantic!
- uses they/he pronouns (didn’t know they could have different pronouns until he met tokoyami, and they spent their entire first year having a crisis over it)
- i know it’s old and overused but this kid is a hufflepuff, through and through
- CHILD OF APHRODITE. i take no criticism.
- a heartthrob among his entire grade, not just class A, but B as well, and the general course, and the business course,, AND the support course. everyone loves sero hanta.
- a natural charmer but is literally not aware that they make everyone within a 400 meter radius of them swoon
- until kaminari tells him in their second year. homie. youre fucking hot. and mina says, use it to your advantage. SO HE DOES.
- third year sero hanta is a force to be reckoned with, let me tell you. using their charm along with their natural ability to just. Befriend anyone (including a brick WALL tbh) to get his way. they get their way, they Know Everything. everyone knows his name by the time he graduates.
- The Older Sibling friend. not quite the mom friend or even the dad friend, but the older sibling. he’s a constant source of comfort and dependability among his class, but theyre also an agent of chaos that likes to cause problems On Purpose just to see what’ll happen. they never get caught being the instigator tho. no one can ever catch him.
- likes to watch aforementioned chaos from the sidelines. a mediator and an excellent negotiator. keeps his friends (cough, bakugo) from murdering each other or other people (cough, monoma)
- i like to think he’s the eldest child with two or three younger sisters and maybe a baby brother. their parents divorced right before sero started high school, and he and his siblings live with their mom. she’s a real lovely lady.
- since he’s the eldest, he kinda knows how to take care of people. sick people, sad people, hungry people. they can read and understand people really well if they really matter to him.
- most of the time there’s just wii music in their head tho
- they weren’t super great at prioritizing themselves/taking care of themselves when he first moved in to the dorms, but with time and help from his friends, they keep getting better at it
- sero gets his looks from his dad and his attitude from his mother. again, i imagine she’s a real lovely lady.
- their love language is physical touch! with so many younger siblings and his natural Eldest Sibling Vibe, it’s only natural for him to be super cuddly and affectionate!
- while it may not be their love language, sero also probably really likes spending quality time with his friends. they like going out, they like being loud and having a blast, but the kid also wouldn’t mind sitting in his room with his friends in silence while everyone did their own individual thing.
- the kind of person that sleeps with one pillow only and one blanket only
- probably runs warm, kicks off the blanket in the summer time. either sleeps on his back stretched out like a starfish or curled into themselves like a baby. no in between.
- has a pair of underwear they call their “lucky underwear” and it’s just a pair with spider-man’s face as the pattern.
- the kid does not have regular chairs in his dorm. it’s bean bags or the floor, man.
- they also have a hammock . i’ve seen this repeating trope in every single fic i’ve ever read
- keeps a stash of snacks in his room! but it’s a trade system. kaminari gets m&ms for cheek kisses, kirishima gets beef jerky for his most rib crushing hug, and todoroki gets gummy worms if he shares his manga.
- has led lights that are connected to his speaker and changes color every time a song changes
- has only three playlists. only three.
- they’re titled, respectively: “u yearning bastard,,” “monch monch”, “for pissing bkg off”
- he still listens to the jonas brothers, lots of big time rush, but also fleetwood mac and abba. frank ocean, lorde,,,, but also. they know every word to both mama mia soundtracks.
- absolutely adores horror + romance movies and not much else
- he tries getting into star wars for kirishima’s sake but he literally cannot keep up with the plot for shit.
- can quote the entirety of the notebook with mina (it infuriates bakugo to no end when those two ask to watch it for the fifth time in a week)
- has never tried an energy drink in their life, absolutely refuses to because caffeine makes him Shake and he hates the feeling
- drinks a lot of tea tho! with momo and todoroki!
- favorite snack is oranges. this kid always has oranges.
- aside from satou and bakugo, sero is probably one of the best cooks in their class
- resident pretty boy. did i mention everyone loves them? seriously. he even has the ever so stoic shouto todoroki pining after him.
- had a huge growth spurt the summer after second year began. it pissed off all their friends because he finally passed 6’ while the others were still stuck at 5’9 or below.
- by graduation, sero reached 6’3, and bakugo was still mad, because bakugo never passed 5’10.
- really grew into himself by the end of high school, finally learning how they wanted to express themselves with his clothing style, hair and *clenches fist* piercings
- started painting his nails the summer before their third year and hasnt stopped
- glorious, curly mullet. bejeweled hair pins. jean jackets and platform docs. piercings all the way up his ears. a nose ring and a smiley. (if you don’t know what a smiley is, i beg you to search it up. it’s the cutest fucking thing i’ve ever seen in my life and i want one so bad)
- ochaco is the one who cuts sero’s hair in third year.
- he got most of his piercings alongside bakugo or kaminari, but when they went to get the nose ring, they’d gone with iida and midoriya. and when he got the smiley, he went with todoroki, who squeezed his hand when the needle went through, even if todoroki wasn’t the one getting pierced.
- one time he and denki shaved their legs and arms and Everything to see if it would make them “more aerodynamic” ( “haha dont u mean /sero/dynamic?” “shut up”)
- strangely flexible. everywhere. it makes shouji shiver and jirou gag. it makes todoroki stare with wide, disbelieving eyes.
- really bad handwriting. like. what the fuck.
- that doesn’t stop them from writing cards for each of his friends for their birthdays, for christmas. it doesn’t stop them from writing letters to todoroki (even if he ended up shredding them and throwing them away after they were finished so no one would ever find them. he wanted to ask bakugo to incinerate them, just to be safe, but they didn’t want bakugo, or anyone else, that he had written love letters to shouto todoroki.)
(....not until after they confessed and finally started dating in their third year.)
- finger guns. unironically.
- is a surprisingly good dancer and a passable singer!!!!!!!!
- sings in the shower. also dances in the shower, but one time they fell and hit the wall connecting his and todoroki’s room, and todoroki thought he might’ve died. came to his door and didn’t bother knocking to check and see if they were alright. sero didn’t dance in the shower for a long time after that.
- his favorite color is yellow, but they also really, really like red.
- doesn’t have a fucking phone case on their phone.
- earbuds falling apart but he just keeps putting more tape over them because they really don’t wanna buy new ones (kirishima bought him a pair for christmas because he didn’t want sero to get electrocuted from broken earbuds. sero ensured him he would likely not get electrocuted just from some earbuds, but took the gift anyway)
- smell checks their clothes like a HEATHEN
- is in love with shouto todoroki.
that’s all :) sero hanta is my number one best boy and i love them dearly.
