Aphmau was brought along earlier than canon. This had effects such as her being a literal child(like she’s a infant at beginning of au) and Shad is the one to find her.

Shad goes “This is a baby. My baby. I need to protect my baby” and adopts her on the spot(she is infact Irene’s daughter in a sense and somehow has his genetics making him her bio dad-)

Reason she’s found? A shadow knight named Terrie. o7 Terrie you would of loved Deadpool and Wolverine.

Anyways Terrie is Aphmaus middle name in the au.

Shad spends years traveling and this results in Aph growing up knowing many of the characters as children. The Romeave brothers fate is much different due to growing up as close friends with Aphmau and Shad being close friends eventually with their parents. Garroth treats Aph as his little sister. Zane and Aph drag Vylad to tea parties. Aph also knows Laurence as a kid, both drag Candenza to cause chaos.

The result of Aph growing up traveling for first few years of her life is a knowledge of the different languages in that world. She eventually is raised in phoenix drop and Shad become lord of Phoenix Drop, the travels eventually become more diplomatic and she only joins when its travels to Okasis or Meteli.

She’s the reason Garroth and Laurence meet. THEY ARE GAY YOUR HONOR—

Aaron and Aph had a small fling and ultimately decided to be friends as they love each other but now know it’s more like siblings friends or cousins. Aph is Aaron’s sons god mother.

ANYWAYS ONTO SHAD AND HIS SHIT

Morherfucker is a girl dad. He will do anything and I mean ANYTHING for his daughter

Aphmau asks to do his nails? He sits still and lets her do them and also provides a shit ton of nail polishes and nail stuff

Boy troubles? Movies and ice cream(and shad sending shadow knights to beat the guys ass)

He has no overworld home and refuses to bring his new daughter to the nether(the shadow knights adore her and see her as a niece) due to the heat along with lava and fire. They eventually settle in Phoenix Drop and Shad becomes the lord instead of aph

Shads a good guy here. Irene’s a villain. But still follow their roles we just see a different perspective.

au where eggman adopts sonic

now i know what you’re thinking, “there are already sonic villain aus out there”, but i’m here to tell you, this ain’t no sonic villain au! sonic is still a hero here! the difference is backstory.

the tl;dr is that eggman adopts sonic and tails but they’re not evil and he is, but he’s a good dad anyway

eggman finds little baby sonic (by baby, i mean somewhere in the 4-7 range) all alone on christmas island. the hedgehog doesn’t speak, when asked if he has a family all he does is shake is head, he’s quite obviously abandoned. so eggman adopts this little blue hedgehog! he learns sign language, teaches it to sonic, puts his kid in school, and overall is actually a really good parent. but there is one problem: he’s still evil. he still wants to conquer the planet. sonic disagrees with this. when he fails to convince his dad through words, he ends up taking action and destroying robots. eggdad is not pleased by this, but he supposes that it was inevitable that his kid might not turn out to be evil like him. he still continues his schemes of course, but sonic also continues to stop him. eggman does make sure to program his robots to not target sonic, too.

at some point, eggy creates metal to be an artificial brother for sonic. metal matches sonic’s speed, and is also mute. sonic is overjoyed at his new brother :)

and then he meets tails. the two immediately take a liking to each other, and sonic learns that tails’ situation is similar to how his own used to be. immediately sonic takes tails to eggy and demands he adopt the fox. eggdad accepts and now there are three brothers :)

at some point, sonic and tails arrive on angel island. sonic gets the emeralds punched out of him by knuckles, who has NOT met eggman and just doesn’t like intruders. when eggman learns about this, he’s pissed and steals the master emerald. after this whole situation is resolved, sonic tries to get eggman to adopt knuckles, but knux won’t allow it, so he’s an unofficial brother

at around 12 years old, sonic starts speaking verbally (though in periods of excitement or stress he’ll still go back to sign) (this is just how i headcanon sonic normally but it’s still relevant)

i have the plots written down for a lot of the games, so i’m gonna go through the mainline modern ones briefly

sonic adventure: eggman tries to keep chaos out of sonic’s way, fails miserably

sonic adventure 2 is a fun one! the beginning is mostly the same, eggman finds shadow, sonic gets arrested, etc, but then eggman finds out sonic got arrested and is PISSED, so he has shadow rescue sonic. sonic is pissed about the false arrest and fights shadow, shadow is forced to use chaos control to bring sonic to eggdad before the island explodes, and now sonic is with the dark story for the rest of the plot. eggdad brings sonic to space, tails, knux and amy follow, sonic learns shadow is technically his (uncle? second cousin once removed? it’s one of them, idk which), sonic is NOT launched off the ark bc eggy wouldn’t do that to his son. plot happens, shadow “dies”, and adventure 2 is done!

at some point, eggy finds shadow, and sonic and tails are aware of this. they don’t tell anyone shadow is alive though (and eggman doesn’t tell them about the androids)

sonic heroes happens bc metal thinks he’s better at being evil than eggman, now everyone knows shadow is alive yay, and also sonic and tails are immediately sus of this plan

rush happens too but i don’t know enough about rush to accurately change the plot, but i’m sure the plot changes at least a bit

we’re not gonna talk about 06 bc it gets retconned by itself

unleashed has shadow as the protag instead of sonic

colors is almost entirely unchanged except 1, yacker gets hypnotized in the one cutscene instead of tails, and 2, eggdad did his best to make the amusement park enjoyable for his kids :)

generations! hoo boy! eggman doesn’t get invited to the birthday party (it’s his birthday too) so he causes Issues! oh and shadow gens happens lol

lost world… oh boy. this one is traumatic for everyone involved. there’s less arguing involved, but sonic is still an impulsive dumbass (leading to tails getting kidnapped, which traumatizes sonic and eggdad) and eggy presumably falling to a fiery death (only sonic is around to see this). so sonic is having a Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day all around, and the zeti are also trying extra hard to kill him to spite eggface. luckily it all works out, except that therapy Will Be Required

forces is another fun one! for me ofc, not the characters. infinite betrays eggman early on, locking him up, then also defeats sonic, locking him up too. bc i am merciful, i am reducing the time the war takes down to one month (mainly bc really, that’s more than enough time for everything to go to shit). sonic and eggman are NOT tortured (bc that was just a weird translation thing), but more therapy will def be required. also rookie/gadget saves both sonic and eggman

at some point, eggdad creates sage. he does not intend for sage to become his daughter. but also sonic and tails both know sage from the start, which is relevant for this next bit

frontiers happens next, and really, the main issue is that sage Refuses To Properly Communicate With Sonic. eggy doesn’t want to put his kids in danger so he tells sage not to run any simulations where that happens. in the end though, sonic still has to get involved. and also now there is a Sister :)

tmosth also happens because i fucking love tmosth. the train is sentient which is why sonic gets knocked out

Aphmau Au Headcanon

I know someone probably must have written this headcanon or fanfiction already BUTT~

I wanna make up a different scenario soo...What if...stay with me..Aarmau and freinds in a Coraline Inspired story, but it is HELLA tragic and has A LOT OF CHARACTER DEATHS....

Aphmau and Aaron, a newlywed couple, relocate to a new home after Aaron receives a job offer in a different city. Aphmau is pregnant but does not want Aaron to know because she thinks that he may not want the baby, given his demanding work life and family commitments. In the meantime, Aaron's dad has been pressuring him to come back home to inherit the family business—something that would require him to leave Aphmau behind and forget about her. Aaron, of course, won't leave her behind because he loves Aphmau too much to forget about her, but tension has been rising between the two of them.

As Aphmau acclimates to life in the house, surreal things start happening. With her eccentric but eagle-eyed neighbors, she discovers a hidden universe through a tiny door in their home. It feels like paradise at first, but as she dives deeper into its reach, she becomes aware that something isn’t right with this place.

Castor – The Chicken Shaman - Castor resides in the flat directly above Aaron and Aphmau. He is referred to as a *Chicken Shaman*, a name which he says comes from ancient days and is mystical. His flat is utterly chaotic, filled with troops of books, used jars of potions, feathers everywhere, and, of course, scores of chickens. His chickens don't really do anything special, but he thinks they have the ability to see into the future. One of them, named Timberly, stared at Aphmau for way too long. The man tells Aphmau something about the house: "It has a hole in its belly. Something is waiting for you to notice it." Nobody ever listens to him, always saying that he's a crazy chicken man... but they probably should believe him.

Katelyn & Lucinda – The Dramatic Duo - Katelyn and Lucinda are not geriatric women, but they re-create those women for a skit that they used to do. They overact their past performances and even put on costumes at unexpected times. They reside at the bottom of the house with dusty old stage equipment, crystal balls, and a career of actors' costumes. They will fight incessantly but agree on one warning: "Whatever you do, don't open that door." They don't know why. When questioned why, they avoid it.

(I would put more characters, but like I'd rather type the story out than have you guys who see this have to read this long as freak headcanon soooo....)

One evening, Aphmau finds a tiny, secret door in the house. Through it, she enters another world that is the same as her own—but better and way more colourful. In the Other World, Aaron is calm, loving, and totally devoted. He already knows about the baby and is delighted about it. The house is brighter, and cozier, and even has a beautifully decorated nursery ready for the child. He assures her, "You don't have to be scared anymore. You can stay here, where you're safe." The longer she's there, the *more she forgets* about the real world—about the pressures, the fears… and even the real Aaron.

The utopia cracks. ‘Other’ Aaron begins to change. His voice warps. His love turns to control. Shadows climb up his arms, his shape melting into a dark silhouette. His soft voice turns cold and hollow. Then Shad materializes. Shad had been pretending to be Aaron, playing on Aphmau's weaknesses, seeking to keep her trapped in his world forever. He did not desire her love—he desired her soul and the power of her unborn child. "You were always destined to be mine, Aphmau. You and the child you bear.”

Aaron had already taken note of Aphmau's unusual behavior when she always stared at the little door. At times, she wouldn't notice him next to her, which resulted in him shouting out her name. He asks what's wrong and tries to comfort her, but she keeps pushing him away and brushes off her aloofness as being tired from cleaning. His stressful job kept him occupied, so he couldn't find the right time. He had to look after his wife and wanted to be able to provide what she wanted, so remaining at home forever was not possible. When Aphmau vanished entirely, Aaron panicked, thinking she either left him or was kidnapped.

Castor came out and told him exactly what had happened. Aaron used the intelligence of Castor's cryptic messages and Katelyn and Lucinda's reluctant assistance to discover how to access the Other World. He found Aphmau being held captive by Shad, her mind befuddled and on the brink of losing complete contact with reality. Aaron struggled through the deceptions and pierced the illusion, desperately reminding Aphmau of their actual life together. “Come back to me, Aphmau! This world isn't real, you know it isn't!" At the eleventh hour, Aphmau regained herself and chose Aaron in the end, dispelling the illusion and shattering Shad's grip.

Despite the world falling apart around them, Shad tried one last time to summon Aphmau back, but Castor's chickens somehow helped them escape by pecking at Shad's shadow long enough to provide them with a head start. (LMAO I can imagine them it’s so funny kkksksksskkh) Katelyn and Lucinda, being the mysterious women that they were, had opened a portal. They knew something was off but could not act themselves. Meanwhile, in real world, Aphmau and Aaron shut the door firmly once and for all. She finally revealed the truth to Aaron about the baby and he couldn't be happier.

After Aphmau and Aaron shut the door firmly for good. Something is not quite right because one of Castor's hens kept staring at the door. Like it's expecting something they didn't.

I would type the mess out of this and make it a fanfic.

For my Lilith the First au - aka the disneychannelification of season 3 - While not the main focus, there is a consistent B-Plot which I am referring to as the custody battle arc.

In this, Shad's main motivation will be trying to take Alina away from Irene because of what happened to their last child. The one that Irene turned into a relic, the one that turned him from a once strong man to a totem of destruction. He does not want to have that happen again, but he knows he cannot make it seem like that so he uses the fact that Alina absorbed the relic to his advantage. He wants Alina because he wants the relic, he wants his power back, something the Shadow Knights he created seem to accept. After all, their instinct is to kill the person they love the most, so Shad must feel the same. (Yeeeaaah, Shad backfired with that design flaw)

The difficult part to Shad in all of this is the fact that he knows, deep down in his core, Aphmau is not Irene. Shadow Knights have a hard time accepting change, their creator even more so, so when he finds his child now 10, 2 times older than when she passed, it is painful because he knows Irene never would have let their child live that long. Even with this knowledge, he still can't trust Aphmau to keep Alina.

Though, that will not be the only issue because Gene is incredibly perceptive. He knows that Shad isn't going to kill Alina, the man is too protective, despite how easy it would be just to kidnap the brat in the dead of night, he doesn't want her to freak out in case her "magic activates". Please... Gene knows when he is being played, so he builds his own little faction, one loyal to him because he is the one meant to have the relic. There is nobody more dangerous than him after all, nobody who is willing to betray his family like him, nobody more destructive than him, he is the perfect choice over the man weeping for his daughter.

Gene is able to successfully convince others because of the fact Shad is weak due to the rebellion and that his host is the actual father to the little girl. Am I setting up Gene to be the big bad of the B-plot? Yes, yes I am. He deserves it because he is one of two characters (other being Zane) that I can see fully murdering a child. I will most likely keep Zane dead in this as well as I cannot find a good way/reason to have him alive.

The non-custody battle side of this B-plot is Zoey and Aphmau coparenting and falling in love, and hilariously, I might make it a throuple with Shad. Not Aaron, Shad. They will make the weirdest co-parents and I do believe Shad will also try and Dad Lilith as well. He will give the most awkward step dad energy.

“If he thought about his… that he would leave us…” Sonic puts the paper away not to crumple it and covers his face, teeth bared and voice now choking. “He couldn’t imagine a world without us, he said. How easy was it to imagine one without him, you think?..”

reguarding your Judas MCD Au, how would you handle Laurance being like... de-possessed? Un-possessed? idk the term-

When Shad is defeated, his spirit will leave and pass on to the afterlife to become the Judgement we see in When Angels Fall, and when he does, he’ll leave behind whatever vessel he was using before, freeing Laurance

I’m not entirely sure how exactly Shad would be defeated in this AU. In my main MCD AU, I have it so that Shad & Aaron don’t even know about Alina’s existence until she appears in the middle of the final battle with The Shadow Lords forces VS The Phoenix Drop Alliance + The Shadow Knight Rebellion. She runs to Aaron, calling out to her dad, and Shad completely freezes, because the entire reason why he’s so angry and vengeful against Irene is because she turned his precious daughter into a relic and fused it with his soul without telling him where the relic came from. So a little girl that looks a lot like his daughter, sounds like his daughter, feels aura-wise a lot like his daughter (because of her connection to the relic), calling him dad and jumping to hug him, it completely breaks his brain and he stops all fighting. He gets very emotional, speaking very gently to Alina. He’d introduce her to his daughters soul, and Alina would say that she’s trapped, she needs to be freed so she can play again. Zane would return the fragment he stole, and they’d return any other fragments they could’ve found in their journeys, the relic would be repaired, and the relic’s souls would be released and freed through the combined efforts of Aphmau and Alina’s magic (Aphmau as Irene and Alina as the next holder for Shad’s relic). Shad would finally be able to rest with his daughter saved, with his drive for vengeance put to a happy end. He’d finally see Aphmau as a different woman from Irene, because if she’s willing to save his daughter, then it proves that she is a very different and far better woman than the Irene he once wed and lost, thus concluding Aphmau’s character arc w/ grappling with her identity as an Irene. He gives her and Alina his deepest thanks and apologies, and his soul passes on, releasing Aaron from his control and finally putting the war to an end. Any magical control he had over the Shadow Knights is removed, freeing them from the pull of the Nether, and everyone gets to reunite and get their happy ending.

But in the Judas AU, it’s not Aaron that Shad possesses, so there’s no dad for Alina to run to. Now, I do usually count Laurance as a step-father to all of Aphmau’s kids, including Alina, but Shad would’ve taken control of him LOOONG before Alina was ever conceived. He would likely have betrayed Aphmau long before Aaron dies, and would be too busy trying to actively kill her and everyone she holds dear to even find out about her daughter. Alina would have no idea who this man is. Laurance would have no idea who this child is. So Shad would have to be defeated in some other way, maybe through more violent magical confrontation means. Like in the big finale fight, Aphmau and Shad!Laurance end up fighting alone, Aphmau keeps trying to get through to Laurance, Shad keeps going all out despite getting internally punched by a Laurance fighting back, it’s all very dramatic. Maybe Aphmau is able to unlock all of her greatest power as The Goddess Irene, so she’s able to shove Shad’s soul and relic out of Laurance’s body and banishes him to be locked somewhere far away in another universe. Laurance is still saved, the Shadow Lord’s magical influence on Shadow Knights is removed, everyone still gets their happy ending, but without the ability to let Shad pass on, she’s only able to delay the problem for a later reincarnation of Irene to solve.

Shad is sent like a comet to become chained to another planet and world entirely—the world of Daemos. Where his soul resides deep within the planet, festering, growing angrier and nastier and full of compounding rancor, turning into something truly, horrifically monstrous. The kingdom of Daemos is built upon it as an unknown magical source, something that’s kept secret from the rest of the kingdom. Mystreet Aphmau, the next Irene, gets reincarnated into Ava. She’s sent to Daemos by way of the universe’s pull to her destiny, where she will face a challenge beyond her wildest nightmares, waiting for Irene’s inevitable return to him.

But anyway, back in the MCD universe, Aphmau and Shad have their grand final battle, The Shadow Lord is banished, and the world is saved. It’s only a temporary solution, but it’s the best option they have, without a way to free the relic and let him pass on. But it’s enough to free Laurance.

Laurance falls unconscious immediately. He’s badly beaten up from all the combat that’s been going on, but he’s also mentally exhausted from fighting an evil God in his mind for years straight. Aphmau and the others carry him home, making him a hospital bed in Aphmau’s basement to sleep on. He stays in a coma-like state for quite a few days while his body recovers.

During that time, Cadenza and Zoe look after him, taking great care of him medically, while also keeping watch for any signs of The Shadow Lord still lingering inside of him. Garroth and Aphmau visit frequently. Other villagers would visit him often as well. Dante often sits by his bedside, talking to him as if he were awake, recounting the stories of everything he missed while he was out. Aaron visits once. He stays silent the whole time, he tries to stay out of the way of Zoe and Cadenza, but he stays close-by, just keeping him company for a while. Vylad visits. Katelyn. Kawaii~Chan. Brian (he’s not evil) & Dale. Brendan. Kiki lends him one of her therapy dogs. Levin and Malachi. Aphmau brings Alina and Lilith to come see him. She tells them stories about how she was very close to Laurance and went on quite a few adventures with him before he was stolen by a very bad man. Leona listens in the background.

One night, while everyone is asleep, Sasha would sneak up to the window and peer into the basement, where she can see Laurance resting. She’d linger for a little while, with her hand pressed against the glass, before quietly turning away and leaving him.

When Laurance wakes up, Zoe and Cadenza would be in another room or elsewhere in the house. Garroth would have been seated at Laurance’s bedside for the past 8 hours, refusing to leave him. He’d nearly be dozing off by the time it happens. Laurance would shift about some, still aching in places, with a light groan. He’d open his eyes, his eyes would adjust to what’s in front of him, and he’d glance around from where he was laying, to see Garroth dozing in a chair next to him. In a weak mumble, he’d say: “…Garroth..?” And Garroth would nearly jump out of his seat. He’d see that Laurance was awake. Garroth would be immediately overjoyed, ecstatic and emotional and definitely crying, “Laurance! Oh, Laurance—“ Hugging him the best he could, “You’re awake! You’re—“ Laurance tries to sit up, grinning weakly, but he groans and flinches from the pain of it, Garroth pulls away but keeps his hands on him, immediate fretting, “Are you okay? Are you hurt? Don’t push yourself, lay back down, be careful, don’t hurt yourself, you—“ Pulls his hands away, finally it occurs to him, “Wait, it’s- it’s just you, right? Are you-…alone in your head?” Laurance nods, still in a lot of pain. Garroth is ecstatic again. “Oh, how wonderful! What a glorious day this is—!” Totally hugs him again, accidentally too tight, Laurance winces again, Garroth apologizes and backs off. Laurance laughs about it. He’d say, “I missed you too, big guy.” with a warm smile. Garroth almost cries.

He’d then remember to call Aphmau over and tell everyone the wondrous news. Aphmau, Zoe and Cadenza come running. When she sees him sitting up in his bed, tired and weak but smiling at her with all the same warmth and love he had before, Aphmau cries out for him, jumping and tackling him in a hug. Cadenza yells to be careful, Aphmau is sobbing and laughing and kissing him all over. Laurance would choke out, “My Lady—“ then he’d try to make a joke, one of the terrible puns he had been saving for the reunion day he dreamed of. Aphmau cries louder. Worried and shocked, Laurance asks if the joke was really that bad, and she wails that it was the best one she’s ever heard in her life, before hugging him again. He laughs, then cries, then buries his face in her shoulder. Everyone comes in for a happy crying emotional group hug.

The second the group hug ends and Aphmau & Garroth are able to detach themselves from their Laurance for a second (by his request), he’d have his reunion with Cadenza as well. She’d be smiling and tearing up, she’d make a joking, snide comment about how he’s gotta stop getting into trouble all the time, because one day she’s not gonna be around to save his ass every time. Laurance would joke back, like they always did, and the siblings would hug, crying and smiling. They’d hold each other very tightly, Cadenza’s walls would drop and she’d say that she loves him, please never go away like that again, and now Laurance is crying for real, and he can barely say “I’ll try,” he says he missed her so much, and they’re very emotional yet very relieved and glad to see each other again.

I usually have Lord Hailey die of natural causes during the 15-year time skip, but I think if I did that in this AU, it’d be a little too sad for me to handle? Especially the idea of Cadenza having to tell Laurance why his dad won’t be able to come see him, and that happening literally right after he JUST got back from the most traumatic experience ever, that- I don’t want to be that mean o.o;

So Lord Hailey never dies!! He’s fine!! He’s doing great!! Happy ending!! They write a letter back to Meteli and he sails over and happily reunites with his adopted son and they’re all a happy family again!! Yay!!

Aphmau introduces Laurance officially to her children and her new daughters. She also introduces him to the newest member of the polycule Aaron. They shake hands, Laurance apologizes for all those times he tried to kill him as Shad, Aaron shrugs and says it’s fine.

The news quickly spreads to the rest of the town, and everyone comes to see him again and have a happy reunion with the resident favorite sailor boy. It’s also a confirmation to everyone in town that The Shadow Lord truly is gone for good and the war has ended. Laurance waking up and getting his life back heralds a new era of peace for everybody.

And life would simply continue to go on. He’d go through a period of physical therapy. He’d have a lot of physical and psychological healing to do. He’d feel responsible for a lot of the hurt he caused while he was under Shad’s control, so he’d do a lot to try to apologize and make up for what he did. He’d help the citizens of Phoenix Drop with errands, he’d try to help rebuild the town (much to the concern of Garroth, Dante, and the other guards that were supposed to be doing the construction work for him), he’d spend a lot more time with his family (which I should specify includes Aphmau, Garroth, all her kids, and Aaron too) trying to catch up for everything he missed, he’d meet Travis (this time on new footing, now that he’s not trying to kill the Enki lookalike and yelling at him about a vague betrayal of friendship). At some point he’d likely ask Malachi to look into his brain to see if he can find any remnants of Shad in there. Malachi wouldn’t find anything because I refuse to continue this story another season, and it’d be a huge relief to Laurance. He’d still have nightmares though. He’d also still have an undead Shadow Knight body, even though any sort of magical control & corruptive effect is gone.

And that would be the ending of the Judas AU plotline! Things would eventually turn into a new normal, Laurance gets his life back, the fighting ends, and the cast gets to enjoy a very long peacetime.

I feel like talking more about my Dante and Gene Swap AU but this time I will just mainly write out some quick hcs and shit because I don't feel like writing long paragraphs rn lmao. Anyways, enjoy my silly thoughts under the cut!

-Gene's hair is pretty long because he was technically homeless for awhile and didn't have much money so he didn't really have the means to cut it. Same thing goes for the stumble on his face.

-He actually starts liking his long hair though so it's chill with him. Most of the time he just throws it in a low ponytail and calls it a day.

-But Aphmau, Nana and/or Cadenza insist on styling from time to time so he just lets them have their fun. Gene does like the hairstyles they do for him so he appreciates it.

-Naoko (aka Nekoette) does the same thing for him post 15 year time skip which Gene finds really adorable and sweet <3

-Also I just want to make it clear that Gene will not be the father of Naoko and Dmitri cuz I just don't think it really fits with where I want to take this AU

-So Naoko's dad abandons her and Nana when Naoko was a baby while Dmitri's dad actually does die before he was born.

-However, Gene does act like a father figure to the both of them and even helps Nana co-parent Naoko after Naoko's father leaves. Gene and Nana remain as friends though and that's it. No romance here peeps sorry not sorry.

-Gene and Nicole are also just friends but they're friendship gets ruined after they get into a heated argument regarding Nicole leaving for Scaleswind. It'll take a long while for them to resolve this issue of theirs and reconcile.

-During the 15 year time skip when people started coming back to Phoenix Drop to rebuild the village, Gene is very hesitant to take the role of head guard even though the other villagers want him too.

-To be fair the last time he was head guard of a village things didn't go so well...

-So yeah, Gene has a good reason to not really want to take the position of head guard. But he then he starts thinking about how the people of Phoenix Drop need someone to protect them. How Levin, who will soon become a lord, will need a head guard to serve and protect him by his side.

-Only then does Gene decide to take on the role of head guard because people need him and he wants to once and for all prove that he is once more worthy to be dubbed a head guard.

-It's a daunting task of course and past trauma keeps making Gene terrified that he'll mess up again and put his newfound family in great danger. He needs some reassurance that he's doing great at his job and eventually he does realize that he's good enough and makes an excellent head guard.

-Nana tells him that Dante would definitely be proud of the person Gene has become which makes him tear up but with like happy tears of course.

-This AU can be pretty much summed up as Gene getting a redemption arc (that's also written a bit better too cuz that redemption arc in Mystreet... def needs a little work is all I'm saying oof).

-But speaking of Dante, I finally figured out what I'm going to do with him in this AU!!

-I decided to just go all the way with the swapping and make him come back as a Shadow Knight. But since Shadow Knights don't age if they died (at least that's what I recall anyways) Dante here is still like 12 years old when he becomes one.

-Which is very fucking hilarious if you ask me because Dante will be Shad's right hand man like canon Gene so imagine being a Shadow Knight and having a middle schooler be your superior lmao.

-Sasha was absolutely floored by this when she woke up in the Nether as a freshly born Shadow Knight, learning that this literal child is the goddamn general of the Shadow Lord's army.

-Though she still respects him despite the wacky age difference between them lol.

-Also Big Sis Sasha moments because she knows in her heart that this kid definitely went through some shit if he ended up as a Shadow Knight. So even if Dante recoils at the thought of vulnerability, Sasha treats him like a little brother at times and gives him some comfort here and there when it's clear that the kid is especially stressed out.

-Sasha often wonders why Shad decided to turn a whole child into a Shadow Knight in the first place. And a part of her, the old her buried deep within, finds this whole thing disgusting but it's hard to notice with how buried said feeling is.

-Now why did Shad bring Dante back as a Shadow Knight even though he was just a little guy? Obviously because he was in a silly goofy mood duh.

-Nah but seriously, the reason why he did that was because he saw some sort of potential in Dante's restless spirit. He thought that the boy would be naive and therefore easy to manipulate. All he had to do was change up some of the kid's memories and he would have an excellent soldier by his side.

-So Shad messed with Dante's memories and made the kid believe that his older brother purposefully murdered him and had no remorse in doing so. This greatly upset Dante and so Shad took this as his chance to encourage Dante to get revenge on Gene and convinced the kiddo that he could do that by becoming a great and powerful Shadow Knight.

-Dante agreed as he felt such intense hatred towards Gene now and would do whatever it takes to enact vengeance against his big bro. Eventually, Dante became such a good Shadow Knight that Shad made the little dude the general of his army. He also saw Dante as his son so Dante highkey gets special privileges that other Shadow Knights don't.

-Those special privileges turned Dante into a spoiled brat so if people don't listen to him or if things don't go his way, he gets very fucking pissed which is def not good as he is no ordinary bratty kid. We're talking about a kid with Shadow Knight abilities that allow him to slaughter several people in the matter of seconds if he so chooses. He's general for a reason so it's best to keep him happy or else you'll certainly be dealing with a ticking time bomb.

-Would it be correct for me to say that Dante is a demon hellspawn child because that's pretty much what he is.

-And then there's Gene who's a sad, angsty and disheveled heap of a man which makes this AU almost perfect in my eyes lol.

-I don't remember if this is 100% canon or not but I think Shadow Knights can shapeshift to some extent because I remember Zenix doing something like that in S1. But anyways, I bring this up because Dante absolutely uses this power of his to make himself at least a little taller cuz dying at 12 meant that he never got to have any growth spurt so he died short (big L moment lmao).

-He does this mostly because he hates being so short but it's also because he wants to make himself look a bit older as there have been quite the few instances of newbie Shadow Knights not treating him with respect because of his age.

-For reference, Dante was like 5'1-5'2 when he died but he uses his shapeshifting abilities to make himself appear closer to 5'5 most of the time but sometimes he'll get lazy and some other Shadow Knights will be a little confused on why their general shrunk out of nowhere.

-But even with the shapeshifting, it's still easy for others to tell that Dante is a child simply because of the way he acts at times. No amount of shapeshifting can hide that after all lmao.

-Now here's an angsty thought for y'all, Laurance knew about Dante being a Shadow Knight before meeting Gene but obviously didn't know that Dante was Gene's brother. However, once Laurance found out about Gene's whole backstory he decides not to tell Gene about Dante being a Shadow Knight as he wants to spare Gene the grief.

-Laurance does tell Aphmau and Garroth about it who also decide that it would be in Gene's best interest if he didn't know about the whole Dante thing. They think that Gene finding out about it would ruin any healing he has done but they're also afraid how Gene would react to just hearing that info.

-But Gene eventually does find out about his little brother being a Shadow Knight after the 15 year time skip when Sasha gets taken into Phoenix Drop's prison. Sasha first taunts Laurance and Aphmau for hiding such information from Gene and warns them that it's only a matter of time before he finds out.

-And when Gene heads over to the prison to check up on Sasha, that's when the truth comes out. She outright tells Gene that there's something that his friends have been hiding from him and explains what that something is. Gene is baffled and doesn't want to believe it so he confronts Aphmau and Laurance about what Sasha told him.

-Aphmau and Laurance aren't too happy about Sasha exposing them like that but they also expected that this was something she might do after she gave them that warning. So yeah they confirm that what Sasha said about Dante was true which really upsets Gene.

-But like can you blame the man? Technically speaking, they've been hiding this information from him for 15 years which is a long time to be hiding the fact that his younger brother was back and now a Shadow Knight bent on revenge.

-Gene wouldn't want to talk to Aph and Laurance for a bit but in the meantime Nana is there to comfort him because learning such news was definitely not easy for Gene.

-Laurance and Aphmau understand that Gene needs some time to process all this so they respect his wishes and leave him be until he's ready to talk to them again.

-And they do!! It doesn't take Gene all too long to talk things out with Aph and Laurance so they're chill now.

-Gene also can understand why they didn't want to tell him about Dante as that news was pretty hard for Gene to grasp after all.

-Gene needs a really big hug because man am I putting him through the wringer right now oof.

-While Vylad didn't have many interactions with Dante in the Nether, I still imagine that Vylad knew enough about Dante to pity the kid. He knew that there was no way that Dante was always like this. He always assumed that Shad did something that turned Dante into this heartless Shadow Knight general.

-Laurance felt the same way and would actually try to get through to Dante during his initial time in the Nether but it was no use. Dante didn't listen to him one bit and still seemed ever so dedicated to the Shadow Lord.

-And then there's Zenix who would gladly punt Dante off the nearest cliff if he could. He absolutely hates Dante for the sole fact that a 12 year old boy is somehow more worthy of being general of the Shadow Lord's army over him. Zenix is very bitter and thinks Shad has lost his goddamn mind for choosing a damn kid to be his right hand man.

-Dante also hates Zenix as he doesn't like that the other is getting in the way of all of his plans. And as mentioned before, Dante can and will throw a massive (and dangerous) fit if things don't go his way. Also it's absolutely canon to the AU that Dante has at one point kicked Zenix in the balls while in the middle of an argument. It was very unprompted and out of the blue so poor Zenix never saw it coming until it happened.

-Queue Shad watching this happen and lowkey trying to resist the urge to not laugh hysterically (spoiler alert: he's doing very bad at that).

-Also canon to the AU is Shad being a proud father of his gremlin Shadow Knight son that bites people without hesitation and whose favorite hobby is committing arson.

I haven't seen a fandom explode with creativity years after release quite like this one. It's inspiring! Forever amazed by just how much food people can cook even without the spinoffs and collabs over the years.

They are also extremely good at putting together AUs or entirely new pieces of the story based on canon world building. The Palace designs for fanfics is absolutely insane, I can't believe what some fics like Joker and Akechi Palace AUs have cooked up over the years. First Step series, Beneath His Mask, and ATOTT came to mind as some fics that were superb with the Palace design and progression, but there are so many more and I'd love to read more!

And also thank you Goro Akechi for leading me to my wife. Still don't think I'll be able to tell my family about us meeting thanks to the fanfic in which Akechi punched Joker's dad for being homophobic, so uh...we'll skip that part if it comes up at any family gatherings.

This may sound odd to any P5 fan who isn't in my specific sector of the fanbase, but...Makoto, actually? Genuinely a fun character, has so much potential, acts like a pretty realistic teenage girl and I still adore Mako/Ann so much. People will cite her law enforcement aspirations as why they dislike her and like...I get the logic, but at the same time, some of our own faves in previous games or even within p5 universe either join the force, join what's basically another type of law enforcement (Shad. Ops), or have knowingly, actually taken part in the corrupt system itself. I love all of the characters I just vaguely referenced, btw, so please don't misinterpret this.

I think it wasn't a well timed confidant for many players, particularly those who unlocked that rank after 11/20, but in NG+, my first time reaching that rank, I unlocked it before that even happened. Just because I'm not a fan of one story beat doesn't mean I won't assume the worst of her, and I think her joining Sae's career path as a defense attorney is an amazing headcanon and one I'm having a blast writing in my post-CTJ WIPs.

Aphmau is Mulan and she runs away from her family (who I would love to be some goofy characters lol like imagine Brendan + his wife [they have horses too!!] But idk anyone who wouldn't be important to her actual arc outside of the home, maybe Donna and Logan) to fight in her fathers place* in the war between phoenix drop and okhasis.

*maybe if Donna and Logan are the parents then Logan was worried abt going out to fight bc he'd be revealed as a werewolf and yk how people are ... Donna and Logan have a fight cause Donna doesn't want him to go but Logan doesn't want the soldiers to come and take him away in front of aphmau who I'd imagine is remake!aphmau aka very clueless and very socially unaware. Aphmau hears this and though she doesn't know how to fight, she decides to leave because she feels guilty for being such a problem to them. She always wants to help, she wants to make people feel better, and she'll do anything for the people who care for her.

Anyway, aphmau leaves w/horse and mushu (character tbt*) tracks her down and goes "hey bro, maybe don't do THAT" and aphmau (after attempting to murder mushu) goes "I'll do what I must! This land and it's people has given me more than I can give back, I need to do this for them!" And mushu goes "well okay that's fine ig, ill teach you what you need then!"

*would be really funny to have Dante here, don't know why but he's the right amount of "girl are you crazy???" And "i will do anything to protect you" for this role. Anyone else have a good idea?

There's Sonadow, Shadourge and Mightourge in the AU ✨️✨️✨️

To add a little extra saucy layer. Scourge used to date Shadow before the two of them "split up". They used to be lovers on the weekends and Scourge thought Shads was the one and only for him. Scourge being the guy he is, already had troubles with opening up to someone on that kind of level and letting someone see his vulnerable side. Shadow got to see that and actually got pretty close to it.

Scourge was just a fling to Shadow, nothing more. And when Shadow started to have feelings for Sonic, the weekend nights became less and less. Shadow would always leave on time before Scourge could wake up. Only for one morning, Scourge would be awake. He would ask Shadow to stay, even taking their "relationship" a step further. Sadly, Shadow's mind was already set. He knew that Scourge and him never could be a thing. Before Shads could leave, Scourge, in his old fashioned ways, would go off on him. Screaming, yelling and yes, crying at him for playing with his heart like that. Scourge would figure out in no time Shadow's new lover was Sonic.

Locking himself away in heartbreak, Scourge would turn to booze to forget these feelings and memories. He would be already feeling uneasy for arriving in Mobius. It's unlocking his haunted vision of him killing off all the people in Moebius. Causing him to lose sleep...

Some time later, Mayhem would have had enough of Scourge's self-loathing and drag Scourge with him to go bar-diving, to set his mind on different things. While feeling this low, Scourge would come across Mighty at one of the bars. They would hook up and the next morning, thinking Mighty would have already left him, Scourge would find out that Mighty stayed. He didn't left. Two of them would hook up more and more and eventually would tie the knot.

Since this is the Delirium!AU, it's not going to end well. In a manic episode and Super Scourge taking over more and more control, Scourge would think his dad had returned. Frightened and in rage, he would once again end "his father". Only for Scourge to regain consciousness after some time and see what he has done. He didn't end his father's life, but the only person that could have given him the happy ending, the one person who did got close to him on that level. Super Scourge needed Mighty out of the way to let his plans to work out. Pushing Scourge closer to fall over the edge, plummeting into madness...

But then that Armadillo came in between me and my plans. Having someone care about my vessel was... a nice touch, I have to admit. Too bad he had to leave so soon."

Mighty: "I thought I could save him. To be the one to hold him, tell him that it's going to be alright. I know I will meet my end, but at least, I could gave him the love he desperately needed."

Shadow: "... I still feel horrible about what had happened. Maybe if I changed how I was back then, this wouldn't have happened. My heart belongs to Sonic. there's no denying that. But I still will fight for making things right and to help get Scourge back on track."

Sonic: "Never thought Shads could have been with "budget-me" before Shads and I got together. And it was kinda silly for me. But now... now I can't help but to feel sad for the dude..."

Part 2 of how I would pan out a Lilith the First disney esc show for my AU. Very much inspired by recent disney where it starts wholesome yet gets dark. Part 1 is Here - This is gonna be a long post because I have no chill when brainstorming so gonna put a cut off here❤️ If you guys do like this lemme know!

Background: All of this will be taking place in the same MCD season, I just use things like Season 1 or Season 2 to create easy outlines/sectioning. Think of Gravity Falls where it takes place over one summer but has multiple seasons. This Season will be having a B plot that I will be slightly referencing, but as this story focuses on Lilith, it won't be as important. ALSO forgot to mention but Lio does have fire magic, something that is known by everyone (even before hanging out with Lilith) and is why he is a liked blacksmith.

A Plot - Lilith, Lio, Garroth, Leona (love her), and various lords and other such characters. This plot focuses on the Tu'la side presented in season three and the possible war/takeback of O'khasis (which is why Garroth will be a major player) SENDING A 12 YEAR OLD TO WAR! YAAAAY! Au is Called Lilith the first for a reason cause this child is the only person keeping diplomacy at bay.

B Plot - Aphmau, Alina, Travis, Katelyn, Shad, and other magical and relic characters. This will be all of the relics and magic side as Alina's powers grow thus attracting Shadow Knights and Shad specifically. Won't get into it much, but if asked I absolutely can, BUT I GOTTA BE ASKED

C Plot - This will happen whenever the plots combine or Lilith and Alina are not the main focus. Think anything from festivals where both girls are at or kidnappings (Listen, this is season two, I can start making it dark!)

Now onto SEASON 2 of idk, probaby 3 to 4, maybe 5. Depends

First Episode: Starting out the season with Liochant and Lilith hanging out at this forge, this time accompanied by Garroth as they still have no idea who shot at them or why they were shot at. Lilith and Lio just talk, accompanied by the occasional noise from Jasper the baby wyvern. Lio finishes forging an order of nails and the group goes for a walk to deliver them to another Tu'la immigrant, this time a carpenter. Garroth meets a lot more Tu'la folk and gets white boy culture whiplash, especially when Lilith tries to speak Tu'lan to the joy of many villagers. Garroth spends the entire episode meeting new people and watching Lilith be a true lady, and it makes his dad heart hurt just a bit.

In between Episodes/Plots - Color coded to match which whatever plot is the main focus- Leona delivers the arrow that Kiki pulls out of Lios shoulder and they try and figure out the origin - Lilith trains with claws and Lio tells Katelyn they have been practicing to impress her - Alina has a massive magic flare that destroys her and Lilith's room, Lucinda comes by to help teach magic control (to little effect) - Jasper brings Lilith a dead mouse and Lilith has to come to terms with the circle of life (same ep as magical fit) - Zoey and Lio meet and Zoey actually approves of what Lio is teaching Lilith - Alina is jealous over the fact Lilith is taught more so Lio offers to come by to give her lessons. Alina (ADHD Queen) regrets it and decides she doesn't wanna after the first few. Alina prefers magic lessons. - They find out the origin of the arrow and that it is shadow knight in nature, meaning Lilith was most likely the target but most likely to hurt Aphmau. (But anyone can acquire arrows)

MID SEASON LORE DROP: Lilith comes to the blacksmith by herself, only to find the shop empty and a note on the door saying that Liochant went out to receive a new shipment of ore, so as a curious child she wanders the woods a bit where she stumbles into an orange haired meif'wa. He is tall with bright yellow eyes smelling like her Aunts and Uncles after a night at the tavern, and stumbling like they do too. He turns to look at her and asks if he is close to Scaleswind, which she tells him he is not and gives him general directions from Zoey's geography lessons. He thanks her and leans down to give her some coin and that is when she sees the collar around his neck as it peeks from his shirt, the same one that Lio hides behind a bandana.

Lilith asks about it, but the man only says that it is a sign of engagement and that he unfortunately can't give it to her as reward, even if he wanted to. Before Lilith can ask anymore, the tall man leaves, so Lilith decides to ask the next best person, Lio. When Lilith asks about the collar, saying that it looks like a big wedding ring with the gold and jewels, Lio tenses but seeing that this would not be something she would let go, he tells her that back when he was a prince he was in an arranged marriage to the orange haired teen in the paintings she saw awhile ago. It did not work out and now Lio is here. She doesn't ask anymore because of how sad he looked, choosing not to mention the orange haired man she saw in the woods just hours earlier.

In between Episodes - Lucinda has the idea to have Lio try and help with Alina's magic, doesn't work but the girls learn to meditate - Jasper has a growth spurt and is now the size of a dog, also apparently learning English - Festival Episode: There is a Tu'la festival happening in Scaleswind, and Lio is gone for a week and the group goes the last day, where they watch Lio perform with fire magic (2 episodes) - Lio is busy once again and Lilith spots the oranged haired man in the woods again and asks if he got to Scaleswind, he says yes and thanks her by showing her and Jasper where to forage mushrooms and medical herbs - Shadow Knight spotting's increase around Phoenix Drop and they go into temporary lockdown as they try and find it. Lio, living on the outskirts/out of the walls is left ensuring the safety of his neighbors while Lilith worries for her friend - During lockdown, the stress gets to Alina and she has a magic flare that destroys Garroths shield and accidentally hurts him. She feels horrible but Lilith gets her to feel better by playing games, distracting both of them (Purple cause Alina is the focus) - While foraging, Lio finds the bodies of several dead shadow knights surrounded by mushrooms as well as tufts of orange fur that looks familiar. He reports it to the guards - Lilith finally trains with Lio again after being stuck in lockdown, and Lio gifts her her own specially designed claws so she can have some to practice with at home. Season Finale: Lio has a delivery he needs to make to Scaleswind, and fortune has it, Aphmau has a diplomatic meeting there so she happily lets him tag along with her, the girls, Garroth, Katelyn, and Zoey. (This fic will involve a Zoeymau slowburn) On their way, their carriage is attacked by bandits, Garroth manages to protect the group in a shield but Lio right outside of it. He runs and the bandits follow, with the shield being reactive magic, Garroth has no ability to close it for the time being so they all wait in worry, until off in the distance they see a fiery inferno scorch the sky. As if someone had opened a portal to the sun on the earth, and even from their distance, a flash of heat is felt.

Lio comes back, this time though as a leopard and just in time to see Garroth drop the shield. Aphmau asks why he is in his beast form and he just drops a piece of burnt cloth at her feet, the remains of his shirt, a silent answer to her question. With their carriage destroyed, they walk the short distance, with everyone taking one of the 4 horses that were drawing the carriage, and Lilith riding on Lio's back. (Alina is sharing a horse with Zoey, because Zoey is better at keeping her calm as to not flare her magic)

They safely make it to Scaleswind, though later than planned and Nicole is happy to let them in and rest, and provide Lio with some clothing. Lio is able to make his delivery, which he does as a leopard (Katelyn was kind enough to grab it and carry it) and he passes straight out on Nicoles couch, along with Lilith cause big cat snuggles. The next day Nicoles gaurds come by and, reporting that the bandits seemed to just be bandits, though they did find jewels and a pendant, one that Lio recognizes and can't place. They allow him to take it and he and Lilith promise to find it out.

That is this arc simplified, but every single episode will also involve either Shad issues/hints or Tu'la soldiers/hints. With this last episode showing one of Nicoles guards purposely hiding letters he retrieved from the "thieves". That's this season for now, until I either actually write it or make a season/arc 3.
