preview
A lot of things were unexpected that day.
First, the fact that Lewis was late to pick up his niece, but when he got there she wasn’t throwing a tantrum, quite the opposite. When she saw him she saw him, she came running through the school’s entrance with the biggest smile on her face when just earlier that week she made a fuss to go to class every morning – before and after getting there.
The second was the smallest boy who was right behind her. His backpack swung from side to side, while Wendy ran up front turning every few seconds to giggle at him.
And just when Lewis thought those were the only two unexcepted things, you walked out of the door carrying a few books in your hands and a big bag on your shoulder, calling for Wendy and the smallest boy.
“Uncle Lew!!!” His niece screamed before barreling into his legs and hugging him. He chuckled, bending down to kiss her mop of curls. “Have you met Leo?”
“I don’t think so,” he shook his head just as the boy finally reached them.
The kid’s version of a black Jordan and the styled curly hair made Lewis smile, that boy appeared to be around five but was already starring a fashion sense that a few older people hadn’t.
“Leo, you’ll give me a heart attack one of these days. You can’t go out running like this, honey,” your voice carried a serious but sweet tone simultaneously.
Lewis’ eyes found you standing a few feet away, curly hair clipped away from your face by a few strands, a pencil skirt, and a cream blouse. The folder and books in your arms gave him a hint of what you were doing there, and his silent guess turned out to be true when Wendy turned with a toothless grin and introduced you: “This is Miss Yn, our new teacher!” She took a step to stand beside you looking up with a beaming face that reflected yours. “And this is Leonard, her son, my new classmate. They’re new here, can we introduce the city to them like we did with Jackie and Uncle Toto? Also, can we have playdates later? Can we go to the park? Can we–”
****
“Mamma, I don’t wanna eat,” Leo held his hands behind his back giving you his best puppy eyes and you chuckled.
“How about you try a few bites and then go play with Dee, huh?”
“Yeah, champ, you gotta make your body strong so you can run as fast as you can,” Lewis tried, already cutting a sandwich in half for Wendy. “Have you ever tried vegan sandwiches?” He asked and Leo shook his head.
“I don’t like lettuce, mamma does though,” he shared, pointing his small finger at you.
“What do you mean you don’t like lettuce? Lettuce is exactly what makes us run even faster, it gives us tons of energy!”
“It does?” the curly-haired boy asked, hands now on the side of his body and curious eyes watching the food in Lewis’ hands.
“Yeah, I eat it all the time so I can drive my car in endless circles.”
You smiled watching the interaction.
“How about you have a bite? You don’t have to eat it all, just a bite. But I bet you will want to finish it. This one has so many things that make us bigger and stronger.”
“Strong like you?” his big brown eyes now looking at Lewis’ biceps, and you chuckled at your kid's face when the driver curled his arms and flexed his muscles.
“Yeah, strong just like me!”
****
“They truly made a bond in a short time, huh?” You commented.
“Guess we’ll be seeing each other a lot more often,” Lewis bumped your shoulder with his and you smiled. You wouldn’t lie that the prospect of interacting with him more than you did the last week wasn’t a bad thing at all.
“I’m not opposed to that.”
“Neither am I.”

Home with you L.H #44
Lewis Hamilton X female!reader
Words count : 1.1k
Dad!Lewis for my sad hours , no thoughts just fluff 💙
The monitor's light blinked before the volume rose up as it picked up the sounds coming from the nursery . You carefully reached to the bedside table to switch down the volume minding your sleeping husband as he snuggled into the pillow beside you , While he's asleep his hand still held into yours , stirring slightly as you shift around but still not walking , so you carefully lifted his his arm to try to scoot out of the bed , but failed as he blinked at you with sleep clouding his eyes .
You gave him an apologetic smile then leaned down to peck his lips then his temple whispering softly "it's okay babe , go back to sleep " but he groaned instead asking in a horese voice "where are you going?" His hand now reaching for yours grabbing your fingers to pull you back to him , you complied with a hand on his cheek causing him to close his eyes momentarily but he fought against the lull of sleep as he looked up at you , so you gave him an assuring smile " booboo is up from his nap , I'll check on him and come back . You go back to sleep " he shook his head with a tired smile " it's okay love , I'll go check on him" attempting to roll out of bed but you caught him before he could , giving him a scolding look with raised eyebrows "don't you even think about getting up , you sir are not moving from this bed before you get enough rest " adding with a knowing look with your free hand on your hip " I know for sure you didn't get any proper sleep the past four days , and stayed up the whole way home . so now you're going to lay back and take your absolutely needed rest and relax and let me and booboo take care of you , understood?" Giving you a fond look then kissing your hand that still held in his , he answered with amused smile "Yes Mrs Hamilton" earning a beaming smile from you before he laid back on your pillow this time watching with half closed eyes as you pulled out of bed to stand and move quitely out of the room before trying to drift back to sleep.
Your bare feet Padded across the hall towards the second door to the left , coming to a stop as you pushed the door fully to step into the dimly lit room . The soft whining coming from the crib inside only ceased as the lights got switched on fully , causing the baby to squint his eyes closed before opening them curiously to take a look at who stood above the crib .
Letting out small gruggling sounds as he saw you smiling down at him , kicking his feet and stretching his arms with a gummy smile as you greeted softly with a wide smile "hi booboo , how was your nap baby?" he let a loud whine frowning with a scrunched up nose before babbling incoherent sounds as if to tell you how it was .
Nodding along encouraging him to babble on before you reached down to caress his cheek , boobing his nose causing him to let a full belly laugh at the action taking hold of your fingers and tugging on them as if to beacon you closer , so you picked him up prepping his face with kisses letting him hold your face with both hands as he let out gleeful giggles , attempting to give few kisses back but ending up giving you raspberries on the cheek.
You held him close as you made your way down the stairs , " guess what booboo ?, today we're going to have a fun day with your papa " his eyes lit up at the mention of his father kicking his feet and babbling a string of what sounds like "pa!" , you nod at him " yeah! ,and we'll give him all the cuddles that he needs , what do you think?" He gave another kick of excitement , settling just as they reached the kitchen .
Setting him down on his high chair , you then went to grab some fruits to snack on with some juice for baby booboo , leaving dinner plans aside , opting to order later instead so to spend more time cuddling and spending time with your boys .
You went on humming a tune as you moved around, taking note of your baby smiling as he followed your movement around , smiling wider with giggles slipping out as you moved towards him while singing aloud and popping your head along with him , both unaware of Lewis standing in the doorway, his smile as wide as theirs as he took in the scene before him . Taking it in before stepping towards them quietly .
He went up behind you , hands going around your waist to hold you to his chest , slowly swaying you as he sang softly from where you stopped when you felt his hands on you , both grinning at your boy who was looking at you with sparkling eyes a wide gummy smile with dimples on full display as he raised his hands high for you to pick him up , and Lewis didn't take time kissing you on the head before he moved to hoist him high igniting a happy scream before he brought him down prepping his face with kisses "there you are ! Didn't know you missed me that much! " Laughing as his boy clung to him wrapping his small chubby arms around his neck and buried his face in his shoulder whining a bit before turning it to look at you , stretching his hand to where you stood behind Lewis watching them fondly .
You took his much smaller hand in yours , watching how his hand barley wrapped around three of your fingers bringing his up to kiss it softly before planting one on his head turning to your husband who gave you a playful pout asking in a hurt voice "what about me ? Where's my kiss !?" Shaking your head you leaned up planting one on his cheek and another one on his lips leaning back down with a beaming smile " there , happy now?." , he gave you a cheeky beaming smile leaning to steal another kiss before nodding in approval " very happy , Mrs Hamilton" . You rolled your eyes at his antics ushering him to head upstairs before going to turn back to grab the food and drinks " alright now , com'on boys we've got a whole day of rest and cuddles to share, now up you go , I'll be right behind you " he stopped you with a hand on your waist giving you a quick kiss before moving towards the stairs listening to booboo as he kept babbling on while looking at his dad with big exited eyes .

Infertile | LH⁴⁴
Summary: In which Lewis and reader have been trying for a baby for the past year but, are unsuccessful every time so, they go to a doctor to get reader tested and the results aren’t what they had hoped for
TW: Topics such as infertility !
Lewis has been very public about their attempts for a baby, Y/n didn’t mind too much as it was the truth. Y/n and Lewis have been in a relationship for 2 and a half years already and you both decided that now was the time that you both wanted a little bundle of joy running around.
Y/n went into the bathroom and took a pregnancy test 3 weeks after they last attempted, even though they’ve basically been attempting every day since then. Lewis was waiting patiently in their bedroom with Y/n still in the bathroom.
After ten minutes of waiting, Lewis abruptly stood up as Y/n came out of the bathroom with a dejected expression on her face as she looked at her boyfriend with a big frown on her face.
“Negative? Again?” Lewis sighed shaking his head as he opened his arms towards her. She nodded slowly, hugging his waist as he wraps his arms around her.
“What are we doing wrong?” she mumbles against his chest as she looks up at him. He sighs shaking his head as he rubbed her back slowly.
“I don’t think we’re doing anything wrong, sweetheart. I’m gonna make a doctors appointment for us and we’ll find the problem, we just have to have hope” he spoke softly, kissing the top of her head as she nodded against him.
== TIME SKIP ==
Y/n and Lewis are in one of the patient rooms at the doctors office, the Doctor had taken some tests a week or two ago and today they were finally getting the results after an excruciating long week.
The doctor walked in greeting the couple as Lewis grasped her hand in his and gently rubbed his thumb against the back of her hand.
She took a deep breath as the Doctor sat down in front of them. “Miss L/n, Mr Hamilton, we’ve got the results back from the tests we took a little bit ago and i’m afraid i’ve got some bad news..”
Y/n gripped Lewis’s hand tighter as she mentally prepared herself for what the Doctor was about to tell them. “I’m sorry to say this Miss L/n but, it seems that you are unable to conceive children of your own”
Y/n’s heart stopped for a second as she tried to grasp what he had just told them. She gives a few glances towards Lewis, who had now dropped her hand and looking at the doctor in shock.
“What do you mean exactly?” Y/n asked quietly, her voice just barely above a whisper. The doctor sighs and gives her an apologetic look.
“It means that you’re infertile, Miss L/n. Once again, i’m really sorry to have to deliver this news to you.” The doctor spoke as he excused himself after telling them that they can leave whenever. Lewis shook his hand and as the Doctor left he turned towards his girlfriend, who’s face had dropped with sorrow.
“Hey, it’s gonna be alright, we’ll work something out. I promise” he soothed, pulling her into his chest as she tried to fight back the tears that were threatening to spill out of her eyes.
“You’re not upset?” Y/n mumbled against his chest as she looked up at him through teary eyes.
“I’m upset, yes. But, there’s nothing we can do to change it unfortunately. I think we need to have a serious talk about our future now though” he replied quietly as he watched her face go pale.
She had a thousand thoughts rushing through her head “is he going to break up with me?”. She was soon ripped from her thoughts as she heard her name being called a few times.
“Y/n, sweetheart? I-” He tried to start before his girlfriend abruptly cut him off. “I’m sorry i can’t give you children, Lewis. I understand if you want to find someone who can.” She sniffles, pulling away from him a little.
“What the hell are you talking about?” He chuckled at her response. “Well, you want to break up with me now, don’t you?” His heart dropped a little at her question as he shook his head quickly.
“No, you muppet. I was going to talk to you about adoption. Although i would love to have children of my own, as long as you’re the mother to any of my children, i’ll be happy” Lewis replied, making her eyes light up a little as she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.
== ANOTHER TIME SKIP ==
It had now been two years since the couple found out that Y/n was infertile. A few weeks after the pair had found out, they applied to adopt instead. The couple went through a few rough patches with the process of adoption but eventually it all worked out in the end.
They were now the proud parents of a five year old boy called Tyler and a two year old little girl called Amelie. Even though Tyler and Amelie weren’t genetically theirs, they still cherished them like any normal parent would regardless of genes.
And they wouldn’t have it any other way.

the bestest - lh44
summary: lewis hamilton wins the silverstone grand prix, and his daughter thinks he's the bestest. wc: 1.7k. based on this request
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
The British Grand Prix always carried a unique significance, but this year felt particularly momentous. Fans filled the stands, waving flags and banners, their cheers echoing through the circuit.
For Lewis, this year felt extra special because his wife and little girl were joining him, and that was enough to give him an extra boost of motivation for the upcoming race.
Alana Hamilton is just four years old, and she's the light of your lives. She's a curious child who always has a smile for everyone, her bright eyes constantly scanning her surroundings for new wonders to discover.
And she has her father completely wrapped around her tiny finger, everybody knew it.
Alana clung to your hand as you made your way to the paddock, her eyes wide with wonder at the spectacle around her. She had been to races before, but this time she was more aware of her surroundings and everything happening.
“Mommy, look at all the people!” Alana exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder as she held your hand. “They’re all here for Daddy?”
“Yes, sweetheart, a lot of them are here to see Daddy race," you smiled at her, "He has a lot of fans who love to cheer him on."
“I’m going to cheer the loudest!”
Alana’s gaze followed every movement, her curiosity sparking with each new discovery. She was soaking it all in—the hustle of the team members, the hum of the engines, the vibrant colors of the team uniforms.
When you and Alana arrived at the team garage, Lewis was there, busy with pre-race preparations. He looked up, his face lighting up at the sight of his family.
“There’s my little girl,” he said, bending down to scoop Alana into his arms.
Alana giggled, her small arms wrapping around his neck. “Daddy, are you going to win today?” she asked, her voice full of hopeful excitement.
Lewis brushed a kiss on her forehead. “I’m going to give it my all, princess. With you cheering me on, I have a really good feeling about today.”
As Lewis held Alana, George Russell, his teammate, walked by and smiled warmly at the scene.
"Well, if it isn't the Hamiltons, my favorite family," he said, his tone friendly and genuine.
Alana's face lit up with recognition. She remembered George from previous encounters and team events. "George!" she exclaimed, waving enthusiastically from her perch in Lewis's arms.
"Hello there, little champion," George chuckled, giving Alana a gentle high-five. "Are you excited for the race today?"
"Yes! Daddy's going to win because he's the bestest driver in the whole wide world!" she declared with innocent confidence, looking at Lewis with adoring eyes.
Lewis couldn't help but beam with pride, though he tried to maintain a humble demeanor. "Well, I don't know about that, sweetheart. There are a lot of great drivers out here today."
"But you're the bestest, Daddy," Alana insisted, her conviction unshakeable.
George laughed good-naturedly. "Well, Lewis, looks like you've got your biggest fan right here. No pressure or anything," he teased.
You smiled, watching the interaction. It was heartwarming to see how the team had become like an extended family, especially for Alana.
"Alright, princess," Lewis said, giving Alana one more squeeze, "Daddy needs to finish getting ready for the race. You be good for Mommy, okay?"
Alana's grip tightened around Lewis's neck, her little face scrunching up in defiance. "No, Daddy, don’t go!"
“Sweetie, Daddy has to race now," you gently stroked her back, "We’ll be right here watching him the whole time.”
As Alana clung tighter to Lewis, her eyes welling up with tears, you could see the conflict on your husband's face. He hated leaving her upset, but the race was about to start.
"Hey, princess," Lewis said softly, gently prying her arms from around his neck. "Remember what we talked about? Daddy has to go fast in the car so he can come back to you even quicker."
Alana's lower lip trembled, but she nodded, reluctantly loosening her grip. "Okay, Daddy. Be fast and be safe."
"I will, princess. I promise," Lewis kissed her forehead tenderly.
He handed her to you, and Alana nestled into your arms, still watching Lewis with wide, admiring eyes. He turned to you next, his expression softening.
"I'll see you both soon. I love you."
You smiled, leaning in to kiss him. "Be safe out there."
With one last glance at his family, Lewis turned and headed towards his car, his determination renewed by the love and support he carried with him.
As you made your way to the VIP viewing area, Alana's eyes darted everywhere, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling circuit. The roar of engines filled the air as the cars lined up on the grid.
"Look, baby," you pointed, "There's Daddy's car. Number 44, remember?"
Alana nodded eagerly, her eyes fixed on the sleek silver Mercedes. "Go, Daddy, go!" she shouted, even though the race hadn't started yet.
Throughout the race, you explained what was happening in simple terms Alana could understand. She cheered every time Lewis's car came into view, her enthusiasm making everyone around melt.
"Daddy's car is going so fast! He's the bestest!" Alana exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder.
When the final lap came, the tension was palpable. You held Alana close, her little hands clutching your shirt as she watched Lewis take the lead. As he crossed the finish line first, the grandstands erupted in roars.
Alana’s eyes widened in amazement. “Mommy, did Daddy win?”
“He did, sweetheart!” you exclaimed, hugging her tightly. “Daddy won!”
"Daddy won! Daddy won!" she chanted, her voice filled with pure joy.
You couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm, your own heart swelling with pride. "Let's go see Daddy, shall we?" you suggested, taking her hand.
You hurried to the pit lane, eager to congratulate Lewis. As he climbed out of the car, the sight of you and Alana brought a huge smile to his face. He reached out, and Alana practically leapt into his arms.
“Daddy!” she shouted, hugging him tightly. “You did it!”
Lewis laughed, his eyes shining with happiness. “We did it, baby girl.”
Lewis held Alana with one arm and reached out to pull you into the embrace with the other. The three of you stood there, a little island of family amidst the chaos of the celebration.
"I'm so proud of you," you whispered to Lewis, giving him a quick kiss.
Alana, not wanting to be left out, planted a big kiss on Lewis's cheek. "Me too, Daddy! You're the bestest ever!"
As the celebrations continued around you, Lewis kept Alana in his arms, not wanting to let her go. She had always been clingy with him, especially since he was away a lot of weekends for races. She missed him a lot, and every moment they spent together was precious to her.
When it was time for the post-race interview, Lewis tried to set Alana down, but she clung to him, her small hands gripping his suit. “No, Daddy, hold me.”
“Come on, sweetheart, let Daddy do his interview,” you coaxed.
Lewis looked at you with a soft smile. "It's okay, I'll take her with me. I'll pay whatever fine the FIA gives me," he said, adjusting Alana in his arms. You couldn't help but chuckle, knowing how much this moment meant to both of them.
As Lewis approached the interview area, he saw a familiar face waiting for him - Nico Rosberg, his former teammate and rival. Nico's eyebrows raised slightly at the sight of Lewis carrying Alana, a small smile making its way to his face.
"Lewis, congratulations on your win today," Nico began, microphone in hand. "And I see you've brought a special guest with you."
Lewis grinned, bouncing Alana slightly in his arms. "Yeah, this is my daughter Alana. She's my good luck charm today."
"Hello there, Alana," Nico smiled warmly at her, "Did you enjoy watching your dad race today?"
Alana, suddenly shy in front of the camera, buried her face in Lewis' neck but peeked out with one eye. "Daddy is the bestest," she mumbled.
The crowd around them collectively "aww'ed" at her adorable response. Lewis chuckled, patting her back gently.
"Well, Lewis," Nico continued, "that was an incredible drive today. Can you talk us through that final lap?"
As Lewis answered, discussing the intricacies of the race, Alana stayed nestled in his arms, occasionally lifting her head to look around curiously and playing with the zipper of her father's suit.
When the interview concluded, it was time for the podium ceremony. Lewis knew he couldn't take Alana up there with him, no matter how much he wished he could.
"Alright, princess," he said softly, "Daddy has to go up on the big stage now. Can you stay with Mommy and watch?"
Alana's grip tightened, her lower lip trembling. "No, Daddy, I want to stay with you!"
You stepped forward, gently prying Alana from Lewis's arms. "Come on, sweetheart. Let's watch Daddy get his big trophy. We can wave to him from here."
Reluctantly, Alana allowed herself to be transferred to your arms, her eyes never leaving Lewis. As he walked towards the podium, he turned back to blow a kiss to both of you.
You found a good spot near the podium, holding Alana up so she could see clearly. Her eyes widened as she watched Lewis climb the steps to the top of the podium.
"Look, baby," you said, pointing. "There's Daddy on the top step. That means he won!"
Alana's face lit up with pride and excitement. "Daddy won! Daddy won!" she chanted, clapping her hands.
As the British national anthem played and Lewis stood tall on the podium, trophy in hand, Alana watched in awe. When Lewis spotted you two in the crowd, he gave a special wave and blew a kiss your way, making Alana squeal with delight.
"He sees us, Mommy!" she exclaimed, waving back furiously.
You hugged her close, your heart full of love for your little family. "Yes, he does, sweetheart. He's waving just for you."
As the champagne spray began, Alana giggled at the sight of her daddy getting all wet. It was a perfect end to a perfect day, one that you knew would be etched in your family's memories forever.

The greatest title of them all
The sound of laughter echoed through the house as Marry stood in the kitchen, stirring a pot of soup. It was a cozy Saturday afternoon, with the warm sun casting a soft glow through the windows. In the living room, a ballet video played on the TV. It was a recording of Yn’s recent performance, and even though it wasn’t perfect in her eyes, she loved watching herself dance, especially with her mom and Lew nearby.
“Mom, can we watch it again?” Yn’s voice, small and tentative, broke through the quiet.
Marry looked up with a warm smile. “Of course, sweetie. Go ahead.” She set down the spoon and wiped her hands on a dish towel.
Lewis, who had been sitting on the couch, looked over at Yn. His heart swelled with affection every time she called him by his name—‘Lew’—a title he hadn’t even dreamed of when they first met. It wasn’t always this way. In the beginning, Yn was shy, cautious of him, unsure of his place in their home. But now, as she was snuggled up with him on the couch, her tiny frame leaning into his side, Lewis felt like the luckiest man in the world.
“Are you sure about the soup? You don’t need any help?” he asked, his voice gentle, watching her stir the pot. He didn’t want to pull her away from her task, but he also wanted her to know he was there if she needed him.
She chuckled softly. “I’m good, honey. Just enjoy your time with Yn. I’ll be right here.”
And he did enjoy it. Every single moment. Because Yn had become his little girl in so many ways, and he had become the father figure she never thought she needed.
---
Two years ago, when he first started dating Marry, things had been complicated. Yn was only five at the time, and she didn’t know how to process the idea of another man being in the house. Her dad had left when she was three, and for the past two years, her only family was her mom.
At first, she had called him “Lewis.” It had been strange for her, especially when he would show up to spend time with Marry. But over time, he began to do little things for Yn, making sure she felt included, loved, and heard.
Lewis had been there for her first ballet recital, sitting proudly in the front row with a bouquet of flowers, cheering her on just like a real dad would. He didn’t need to be asked—he wanted to be there.
“Good job, sweetheart!” he had shouted excitedly when she took her final bow.
Yn had smiled shyly, but the connection between them had deepened after that day. It wasn’t just that he showed up—it was that he cared. When she wanted to go to the waterpark for her birthday, Lewis had taken her. He had watched her face light up as she slid down the water slides and played in the wave pool.
At night, when they sat down to watch movies, he’d let her pick the movie—even if it was a Barbie movie she watched for the hundredth time. It didn’t matter to him. What mattered was the smile on her face.
“Let’s have a picnic, just the three of us!” Lewis had suggested one Saturday afternoon. He laid out a blanket in the living room, and they ate sandwiches, laughing as Roscoe tried to steal a piece of ham.
But more than the big moments, it was the small ones that cemented his place in Yn’s heart.
The nights he spent waiting for her to fall asleep on the couch so they could decorate her room together.
Or when they baked cookies in the kitchen, and Lewis taught her how to mix the dough just right, making a mess and laughing the entire time.
That's when 'Lewis' turned into 'Lew'.
Sometimes, it was the quiet moments that meant the most and change everything. Like the night Yn came to him after a bad dream.
---
The night had been quiet, the house wrapped in a blanket of calm. Marry was asleep beside Lewis, but a small sound stirred him from his slumber. He heard it again—soft, a hesitant knock.
“Mom?” Yn’s voice was faint.
Lewis heart leaped in his chest. He turned toward her voice. “Hey, Yn, you okay?”
Yn’s small figure appeared in the doorway, her face tight with worry. Her eyes, wide with fear, met his. “Lew… I had a bad dream,” she said, her voice cracking slightly.
Marry stirred in bed but didn’t fully wake up. Lew gently pulled back the covers, his heart aching at the sight of Yn standing there, so small and vulnerable.
“Come here, sweetheart,” he whispered, patting the empty spot beside him.
Yn climbed into the bed, curling up next to him. Her head rested on his chest as he wrapped an arm around her protectively.
“You’re safe here, okay?” Lewis whispered, his fingers running through her soft hair. “Bad dreams don’t stand a chance when you’re with me. I’ll keep you safe.”
“Thanks, Lew,” she mumbled, already beginning to relax in his arms.
He smiled down at her. And then, in that moment, something he never expected to hear passed her lips. “Dad?”
Lew’s heart skipped a beat. He held his breath, unsure of whether he had heard her right.
“I’m here, baby,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I’m right here.”
It didn’t take long for Yn to fall back asleep, her hand still gripping his, but from that night on, everything had changed. The way Yn looked at him, the way she started calling him Dad instead of Lew, felt like the most sacred gift he could ever receive. It wasn’t just a title. It was the confirmation of the bond they had formed together.
He had been there for her, in every way a father could be—attending her recitals, helping her with homework, making her laugh, teaching her how to ride a bike, taking care of her when she was sick. But it wasn’t until that night, when she whispered ‘Dad’ into the quiet of the night, that he knew he had become something much more than just her mom’s boyfriend.
---
As the days passed, the bond between Lew and Yn deepened. They were inseparable—Yn seeking comfort in him when the world felt a little too big and scary. When her dad stopped picking up the phone calls, when she felt abandoned, Lewis was there. He was her constant, her rock.
One evening, as they sat down to dinner, Yn hesitated, her little hands resting on the table, fiddling nervously with her napkin. She looked up at Lewis, her eyes big with a question she wasn’t sure how to ask.
Lew met her gaze with a smile, noticing her uncertainty. “What’s on your mind, kiddo?”
Yn bit her lip, then asked softly, “Do you think my papa will ever come back?”
The question hit Lewis hard, but he knew better than to lie to her. “I don’t know, sweetheart,” he said quietly. “But what I do know is that I’m here for you. Always.”
Yn nodded, her shoulders relaxing a little as she reached out and took his hand. “I’m glad you’re here, Dad.”
That was all Lewis needed to hear. He squeezed her hand, his heart full.
“I’ll always be here, baby,” he promised, leaning in to kiss the top of her head. “And no matter what happens, you’ll never be alone.”
Yn smiled, her trust in him unwavering. For her, Lewis was more than just a stepdad. He was her dad, the man who loved her, protected her, and gave her a sense of security that she had never known.
And for Lewis, there was no greater joy than knowing he had earned that place in her heart. He would always cherish the title of ‘Dad’—because it meant more than anything he could have ever imagined.
As they sat there, together at the dinner table, the sound of Marry’s laughter filled the room. And in that moment, Lewis knew that this—this family—was exactly where he belonged.

What a beautiful day! So peaceful and a lil chaotic at the same time🥹. Babygirl all in my shoes😂😭. Moments like these are so important! I love this!😩🙌🏾👏🏾👍🏾🩷!
Memories
Pairing: dad!lewis x wife!reader
author’s note: im a sucker for dad lewis
As the morning sunlight poured into the kitchen, painting everything in a soft golden hue, you took a moment to relish the peace of the morning. The gentle sounds of breakfast being prepared filled the air, mingling with the comforting aroma of coffee and pancakes.
“Morning, love,” Lewis greeted you with a smile, his eyes bright with affection as he tended to the stove. “Breakfast is almost ready. The kids are already up and about in the living room.”
Taking the cup of coffee he offered, you breathed in its warmth, feeling a sense of gratitude for these simple moments. “Thanks, Lewis,” you murmured, taking a sip. “I’ll go check on them.”
Entering the living room, you were met with a scene straight out of a family movie. Chanel, your daughter, twirled around in your heels, her laughter filling the room, while Cole, your son, built a cushion fort with meticulous care.
“Morning, Mommy!” Chanel greeted you with a wide grin, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Look at me, I’m a fashion queen!”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at her antics, but you knew you had to set some boundaries. “Chanel, sweetie, those are Mommy’s shoes,” you gently reminded her, trying to balance firmness with love.
With an exaggerated sigh, Chanel kicked off the heels, muttering something about unfair rules under her breath. Joining her brother in the cushion fort, she continued her play with renewed enthusiasm.
Watching your children, you felt a wave of gratitude wash over you. Despite the chaos, these moments were what made parenthood so special.
Back in the kitchen, you helped Lewis finish breakfast, enjoying the quiet camaraderie between you. As you set the table, you couldn’t help but smile at the thought of your family gathered together.
Sitting down to eat, conversation flowed easily, punctuated by laughter and the occasional spill. It was these simple moments of togetherness that made everything worthwhile.
After breakfast, as Lewis headed out for his training, you were left alone with the kids. But even in his absence, his presence lingered in the warmth of the house.
When Lewis returned later that evening, tired but happy, you welcomed him with open arms. Together, you shared stories of your day, finding solace in each other’s company.
As night fell, Lewis suggested a movie night, and the kids eagerly agreed. Snuggled together on the couch, you watched as your children laughed and cheered, their joy contagious.
In that moment, surrounded by the people you loved most in the world, you couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. These were the moments that made life worth living, the moments that filled your heart with love and happiness.
As the movie ended and the kids drifted off to bed, you and Lewis lingered on the couch, basking in the quiet of the evening. It was during these stolen moments that you cherished the most, when the world seemed to slow down and it was just the two of you, wrapped up in each other’s arms.
“I love you,” Lewis whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“I love you too,” you replied, feeling the weight of those words settle deep within your soul.
Together, you sat in comfortable silence, content in each other’s presence. And as you drifted off to sleep, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for the beautiful chaos and joy that filled your life, knowing that as long as you had each other, everything would be okay.

mum said no | lewis hamilton
an: i love hot ones <3 that’s all
After canceling many times, Lewis finally made his appearance on Hot Ones with Sean Evans. He was a big fan of the show so he was happy to finally get to be a guest. Not only was he a big fan, but so was his eleven year old daughter, Maeve, so naturally she accompanied him to the set.
Maeve Hamilton watched as her dad ate spicy wings and answered questions. When talking about Roscoe, Maeve payed close attention. She loved talking about Roscoe so much.
On the monitor, a picture of Roscoe and Maeve appeared. Maeve was wearing a black Lewis shirt that her mum had bought from an Etsy store while Roscoe licked her face. It was the British Grand Prix and Maeve, along with her sisters, was beyond excited.
“Look, Mavy, that’s you and Roscoe!” Lewis pointed to the screen. “That was taken last year. Do you remember?” Lewis asked his daughter.
Maeve looked at the picture and nodded. “Angela took it!”
“Is your family always at the races?” Sean asked.
“Most of the time during the summer, yeah. It’s always a great time when they’re in the garage, but when it’s school time, they stay home with their mum.” Lewis explained. “They don’t like that at all. But I always tell them education comes first.”
“But I get lots of good grades.” Maeve cut in.
“What’s your favorite subject?” Sean asked the girl.
“I like science.” Replied Maeve.
As the show went on, Maeve was seated next to the camera crew, laughing at her father. He was now taking bigger bites.
“You can do it!” Maeve cheered on.
“Thank you, baby. Love you.” Lewis chuckled and blew a kiss to the girl. “I can always count on my girls to cheer me on.”
“On the topic of family, is it possible that Formula One could get another Hamilton on the track? Or do they want to go into other careers?” Sean asked.
“At one point, they did say they wanted to, but now they’re discovering more careers that they’re interested in. I will support them in whatever choice they make.”
You and Lewis both knew that your daughters would never be Formula one drivers. You both talked about how hard it would be on them. He saw how fans were tough on Mick. He didn’t want his girls to go through that.
The wings got spicier and all Maeve could do was laugh at the faces Lewis was making. He drank milk but that barely helped. Tears were starting to come out his eyes. Maeve noticed and quickly went to her father’s side and used a clean napkin to clean the tears since she didn’t want him using his own hands that were covered in sauce.
“Thank you, baby.” Lewis said as Maeve cleaned up the tears.
“What kind of reaction do you get when somone pulls up alongside of you and then sees that it’s, you know, Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel next to them?” Sean questioned.
“Most people are just like ‘Holy Shit!’ um. . .” Lewis chuckled.
“They’re not revving their engine at you or anything?”
“I’ve had people, yeah traffic light that wanna race yeah.” He nodded. “Definitely when I was young, I felt like yeah. . . smoke this fool.” He laughed.
“This man wanted to race you yesterday!” Maeve spoke up. “Mum said no.”
“I got kids now!” Lewis laughed once again. “I got precious cargo, I can’t be fooling around.”
“And mum said no.” Maeve whispered to him.
“Yup, and mum said no.”

lewis + bluey + fluff bc I can't stop thinking about this 😭😭😭
Bluey | LH44
⸺ the one where you catch Lewis watching Bluey without the kids. no warnings.
⁕ one word, a thousand stories blurb night (closed) ⁕ my masterlist and my taglist
It was a Sunday morning and the house was silent, which was new, and it happened only because the two mini Hamilton’s were with their grandparents for the weekend.
Yn rolled out on the bed looking for Lewis, but finding his spot empty, which wouldn't be uncommon had the kids been home, but they were alone and he had all the time in the world to sleep in, though he wouldn't usually use it.
She threw on his shirt and left the room in search of her husband, only to find the TV on, Bluey playing at a low volume while Lewis napped on the sofa. She giggled, snapping a picture, and then sat beside him on the sofa, hands caressing his chest over his pajama shirt.
"Love," Yn whispered, now touching his face and peppering kisses there in an attempt to wake him up.
Lewis used to be a heavy sleeper before Yn and the kids, but after starting the family life his sleep became lighter so that he could wake up in case the kids or his wife needed him. And though the kids were at their grandma's house, he still stirred when Yn's lips found the corner of his mouth and then the tip of his nose.
"We still have time to sleep, come to bed," she whispered when his eyes opened briefly. "Were you watching Bluey without the kids?" she teased and Lewis closed his eyes again, holding back a chuckle.
"Hey! You can’t judge me, I'm just making sure it's safe and the kids can watch all the episodes..."
Yn nodded, sarcasm written all over her face, "Just confess you like to watch some of their cartoons, babe. It's no problem."
"It's not just any cartoon, it's Bluey, it's different. Lie here with me and watch one episode, I'm sure you'll like it too."
And though she laughed, Yn did lie on top of him to watch TV for the rest of the morning, giggling together, sharing bits here and there about an episode here and there, and snoozing on some.
"Just don't tell the kids we watched season three without them or they'll be mad," Lewis reminded.
― ⋆🪩 VOICEMAIL: I went to watch an episode after you mentioned it, and I forgot how nice hearing their accent is. I'll definitely watch the other episodes when I have the time hihi <3 It's just really cute, and I can totally picture Lewis watching all the kid's shows without them because he genuinely thinks it's therapeutic.
I hope you guys like it, don't forget to reblog and leave me a comment *mwah*

It was time to put those rumors to rest and to bed. To keep things private for that long was necessary. People out here speculating while I'm living it up in Monaco😂. I and I got another cookie🤣. I loved this!👏🏾🙌🏾💓.
Protective Daddy
Pairing: Dad!Lewis Hamilton x Reader
Summary: Lewis and his partner decide to reveal their pregnancy to the world.
Word count: 889
After Lewis announced your pregnancy on Instagram, everyone's questions and assumptions have been answered.
A picture of your ultrasound and your belly with his face squished next to it.
Lewis is known for his private lifestyle, but he has recently felt the need to address rumors and accusations that have been circulating about him. Speculation has arisen regarding his involvement with certain models and allegations of cheating, including taking them back to hotels, among other things. However, none of these rumors are true, and Lewis felt it was time to clear the air.
On the other side of all that nonsense, you and Lewis have been together for a while now, five years to be exact. He has done some pretty good work on keeping things on the down-low. People knew who you were, but not enough to make too much noise. They knew you guys were dating; you've been seen in a few of the races and even outside the tracks.
But in these few months, people noticed your absence in some of them, and that's how the rumors started bubbling.
Lewis was seen with some people on and off the tracks due to mutual friends, but this caught the attention of paparazzi and gossip sites. As a result, people are slowly assuming that you either broke up or he was cheating.
During all the commotion, you were in Monaco, living the life in Lewis’ apartment. You were laying down on the bed, enjoying your pregnancy cravings.
However, after one too many instances of sneaking your hands into the cookie jar, Lewis caught you red-handed.
“Lew, can I please have one more cookie?” you asked with wide, begging eyes.
"Don't you think you've had enough?" he replied, taking the jar off the nightstand. You, already on edge from your hormones, did the only logical thing and start pouting.
"But..." your voice trailed off.
As you looked up at him then down at your belly, Lewis sighed, "Fine..."
“I love you, Lewis,” you said.
With a small hint of amusement in his voice, Lewis replied, "Are you just saying that because you want the cookies back?"
"No," you answered.
"Then what, my love?" he teases you. "Because if you don't have a good reason, I'm taking this back." while he holds the jar hostage.
"Because.... you.. are... such a good daddy to our baby for giving his mommy what she needs," you replied.
Lewis unable to hide the smile from spreading across his face.
"I'm the best daddy that our little one could have ever asked for," he agreed, leaning down to plant a quick kiss on your cheek.
"So, what about that cookie now?" you asked.
"Hmm..." Lewis hummed in thought, his lips pursing as he pondered his answer.
"You know, maybe one more cookie wouldn't be so bad for mummy," he eventually conceded.
"Of course not," you replied happily.
While you enjoy your last cookie for today, Lewis is on his phone, and his face is obviously distraught.
"What is it?" you ask.
Still not looking at you, Lewis replies, "What is what?"
He seems annoyed whatever was on his phone and is waiting for you to elaborate.
"I know that look. What's wrong?" you ask.
With a sigh, Lewis finally looks over at you and runs a hand at the back of his neck. He pauses before answering.
"I've been reading these... rumors. People have been saying that I'm seen with other women and that we aren't together anymore."
"Well... were you with other women?" you ask.
With a sigh, Lewis leans back against the bed, crossing his arms across his chest. He seems to ponder your question before replying.
"No, I haven't been with other women."
After a moment, he continues, "At least... not in a physical sense. There have been some... conversations with other women, but nothing that should be considered cheating."
"Hmm," you say, curious.
After a few moments of silence, Lewis finally speaks to you again.
"Do you believe them?"
You smile at him. "Of course not. I think it's just that people don't know about my pregnancy, so now they're making up some weird rumors."
Lewis nods slowly, his expression softening as you reassure him.
"Good, my love," he says, using the affectionate term. "Let them talk. They don't know the truth."
Lewis then moves closer to you and wraps his arm around you.
"You and I... we know what is really happening."
"Yeah... but it bothers you," you say.
Lewis is quiet for a moment, then replies, "Of course it does."
He sighs and pulls you a bit closer to his larger frame.
"I may not show it, but I care very much about you, and what people say about us matters to me."
"I know, babe," you say, cradling his face and leaning in for a kiss.
Lewis smiles slightly and gently responds to your kiss, wrapping his hands around your waist.
He pulls you into his embrace, his lips gently pressing against yours while one of his hands rests on your stomach.
Lewis pauses for a moment as though contemplating something.
"I think we should tell everyone that you are pregnant with our child," he says softly.
He seems to be thinking about the consequences of such a public reveal.
"It's a big step, but it would stop the rumors in their tracks..."
"Are you sure?" you ask.
"I want it to be official. Not just between us, but for everyone else to know as well," he says.
Lewis's arms tighten around you.
"You are carrying my child, and I want the world to know," he whispers.
"Okay then," you say.
"Let's go tell the world about our little one," he says sweetly.
With one last kiss, Lewis pulls back and smiles at you.

𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲, 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚
𝐋𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐱 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: charlotte is adamant on making sure her dad knows exactly who the plate of cookies and glass of milk is for, and it isn’t him…
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: very cute fluffy dad! lewis
𝐚/𝐧: i couldn’t resist writing this blurb, he gives off dad vibes constantly 🥹🥹
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Charlotte loved Christmas, she loved helping you decorate the tree, helping her daddy set up all the lights outside, and adored dressing roscoe up in funny hats and sweaters. She also loved to bake cookies for santa and making sure Lewis knew the plate for him was off limits.
“Daddy!!”
You laughed, watching your five year old little girl climb off her kitchen stool, her curls bouncing as she ran towards the special stand where her plate would go for santa clause
“Yes darling?”
“Come here please!” she called back, standing with her hands on her hips, she was precious and got her sassy attitude from her dad, and you found it too adorable.
“Oh you look like you mean business princess…”
Lewis smiled biting back a laugh as he walked over and kneeled in front of his daughter
“See this plate daddy?”
“Yes I see it baby”
She nodded before pointing a finger at him, her eyes stern
“I made cookies for santa okay? So when I put the plate here and his glass of milk no touching okay daddy?”
Lewis wanted to laugh so bad, truth be told you couldn’t hold back the giggles either
“Mummy this is serious!!” she squealed, not impressed to see you amused
“I’m sorry my love, you’re right it’s not funny, right daddy?”
You watched your husband nod
“Mummy is right, I promise I won’t eat any of santa’s cookies or drink his milk I promise…”
Charlotte seemed pleased enough with this answer but still stuck her pinky finger out for him to link with his, the father-daughter duo always sticking to their pinky promises.
“And daddy…”
“Yes baby?”
Charlotte smiled innocently before holding his face gently in her hands
“If you eat a cookie or drink the milk, you’re on the naughty list which means you get only coal for Christmas!”
Lewis smiled letting out a soft laugh
“I promise I won’t princess..”
“Good! Thank you daddy!”
She yelled before taking off towards the kitchen, straight past you to continue decorating her cookies, a smile on he little face.
“Well she definitely gets her dramatics from you love…” Lewis said, coming up to kiss you softly to which you rolled your eyes jokingly
“Mhm but she got her sass from you…guess we know she’s our daughter for sure”
There was no doubt in the world of that, Charlotte was the perfect mix of you and Lewis, she might be opinionated and know what she wants, but at the end of the day she was the sweetest angel in the entire world.
Until someone threatened to eat santa’s cookies…never go for the cookies…

A NON-SEPARATION
Dad!Lewis Hamilton X Mom!fem!reader
Summary: When things get tough in their marriage, they decide to take a break, but of course they still have feelings, especially when they have two beautiful girls.
Words: 4.9K+
Warnings: Anguish, mention of separation, cute daughters, cute (because of the girls), crying.
Author: English is not my first language so sorry for any mistakes that may be in the story. I finally got the courage to write an anguish from start to finish hahaha And there will be a part 2.
MASTERLIST
The silence in that house had lasted three weeks. Three weeks since the fight. Three weeks since Lewis picked up his bags and decided it was best to take a break. Three weeks since their love was on hold, not knowing where to go.
Lewis didn't go to a hotel or a rented apartment. He went to his mother, Carmen's, house.
Even though Ferrari offered him a beautiful home in Maranello, when Hamilton joined the team he never considered leaving the UK. His priority was always his family, and he wanted his girls to grow up close to their grandmother, in the city where they had always lived.
But now the house was different. He no longer slept in that bed next to Y/n, he no longer heard his daughters' laughter every morning, nor the sound of Roscoe's paws on the floor. He saw the girls almost every day, but it wasn't the same. Nothing was.
In the house where they used to live together, Y/n was finishing washing the dishes. She and the girls had made a cake earlier, and now Marie, the oldest girl of the couple - 6 years old and Pietra, the youngest - 4 years old, were in the room, finishing packing to spend the weekend with Lewis.
The sound of children's voices and giggles echoed from upstairs, and Y/n smiled at the sound. That sound was one of the only things that still brought her some comfort during these difficult days. She looked down at the floor, where Roscoe lay, snoring softly, and smiled again.
Lewis had left the dog there because he knew how attached the girls were to him. He would still walk Roscoe when he came to pick up his daughters, which created a funny situation. The shared custody was not just for the girls. It was for three children: Marie, Pietra and Roscoe.
As she dried her hands on the dish towel, Y/n found herself thinking about everything that had happened in the past few weeks. But before she could get lost in her own thoughts, the doorbell rang.
She frowned and looked at the clock on the wall. Lewis wouldn't be picking up the girls for another 40 minutes, and her best friend wouldn't be home until the evening.
Passing by the stairs, she could still hear the children's voices upstairs. She smiled and felt her heart warm, Y/n knew how her girls were so attached to each other.
But Y/n's chest tightened. Before, there were three bouquets. One for Marie, one for Pietra, and one for her. Now, there were only two left.
And then she opened the door, and there he was. Lewis. He was standing there, looking as handsome as ever, holding two small bouquets and a box of chocolates. For the girls, of course.
The thought of knowing that he no longer loved her and wanted a divorce crossed her mind. She blinked a few times, feeling the tears welling up, but she smiled and made room for him to enter.
"Hi, come in..."
Lewis kept his gaze on her for a few seconds before crossing the door. The familiar air of the house hit him hard. Nothing had changed. But at the same time, everything was different.
"The girls are still packing," Y/n said, closing the door. "I didn't think you'd come so soon."
"I was nearby," he replied, walking beside her. "And I wanted to spend more time with them before the evening flight."
Lewis followed his wife into the kitchen, where she had been before. Without saying another word, he smiled when he saw Roscoe lying in front of the refrigerator, sleeping without a care in the world.
"Hey, buddy!" The pilot crouches down in front of the dog and strokes his ears, causing Roscoe to lift his head and wag his tail.
Lewis's cheerful tone made Y/n smile. She walked back to the sink, picking up the dish towel and rolling it between her fingers.
"I know you're taking the girls to the GP," she said lightly, but hesitated before continuing. "For the first time... without me..." The last words came out softly, as if they hurt too much to say out loud. And they hurt Lewis too. "But please don't leave them with just anyone in the garage."
He stood up and smiled, trying to hide his feelings. "My mother is coming along to help me. It's going to be okay." Lewis left the small bouquets and the box of chocolates on the counter.
As he passed Y/n to sit on one of the high stools in the kitchen, he lightly touched her arm. It was a simple touch. Familiar.
Y/n felt a lump in her throat. Her heart tightened. It was still the same Lewis. The same man she had shared her life with for over eight years. Eight years of marriage and four more years of dating. She didn't remember what life was like without him anymore, and that hurt, because that was exactly what had been happening these past few weeks.
"How's work?"
Lewis noticed that tears had come to the woman's eyes, and to ease the tension, he changed the subject.
"Well...we hired a few more people for the clinic, to ease the workload of those who were already there." She replied, biting her lips a little, trying to emphasize the sentence.
Because that's exactly what made them both take a break. Work. Work and work. Lewis was in Maranello almost all the time and Y/n was in the office. And she knew. that he had to do something if he wanted Lewis back.
"Good...very good" Lewis smiles a little.
Silence fell between them. Lewis leaned over and picked Roscoe up, petting the dog, while Y/n rested her hands on the counter.
Then she took a deep breath before saying, "If... if you happen to bring anyone else to the race... you know, like, any women... don't let the girls see. They're still pretty shaken up about not having you here and it would be too much for them..."
Lewis’s chest tightened. The idea that Y/n thought he was already moving on broke his heart. He blinked a few times, but couldn’t stop the silent tears that fell.
"Hey!" He cleared his throat and looked at his wife. "Don't think I don't love you anymore, Y/n. That... that hurt me. Hearing you say I'm with someone else when all I want... all I love... is still you." Y/n swallowed hard, starting to cry and staring at her painted nails. "I know we fought badly. And we're taking a break. But I don't want a divorce. I want you. Just you. And our girls."
She nodded slowly, biting her lower lip. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have said that... I'm sorry." She whispered, trying to control her tears.
Lewis watched as she dried her eyes. Wanting to get closer to her, to shower her with kisses, hugs and sweet words that told her everything would be okay and that they would return to their normal, loving routine.
Before they could say anything else, Y'n stepped away from the kitchen sink and walked towards the stairs. Trying to push all the bad thoughts out of her head before speaking to her daughters. "Girls! Let's go!"
"Coming soon, Mommy!" Marie shouted from above.
"Daddy is here waiting for you!"
"P is daddy's little girl, have you noticed?" Y/n commented, smiling.
An excited scream came from Pietra upstairs, and Y/n returned to the kitchen smiling and Lewis laughed out loud at his youngest daughter's action.
"I noticed," he replied, laughing too. Looking at his wife and taking the opportunity to admire the woman he loved.
The girls' hurried footsteps approached the stairs upstairs. And before they appeared, Y/n leaned slightly on the counter in front of Lewis and whispered, "Hey, just don't comment on Marie's hair..."
Lewis raised his eyebrows, smiling curiously. "Why?"
Y/n just smiled. "Wait. You'll see..."
Seconds later, Marie and Pietra entered the kitchen excitedly, wearing matching outfits. They both wore long summer dresses that Carmen gave them on their last vacation. Marie's was lilac; Pietra's, yellow.
And then Lewis noticed something different. Marie's bangs were crooked. Someone had cut them.
She herself had done this trick last night, saying that she had too much hair on her face. And before her mother could argue, the scissors had passed through her brown locks.
Lewis looked at his wife, who was holding back a laugh. She knew exactly what he was thinking. Their daughter’s hair looked very strange.
The pilot took a deep breath, trying to control his laughter and ignore his daughter's funny hair.
The two girls were almost identical to their father, but had details of their mother. The biggest difference was that Marie had inherited Y/n's straight hair, while Pietra had curls identical to Lewis's. And now, Marie had a...questionable fringe cut.
Lewis got up from the bench and bent down, opening his arms to his daughters, who ran to him with joy.
"My princesses!" He said, pulling them into a tight hug.
Y/n felt a tightness in her chest when she saw the scene and heard him say in a choked voice: "I missed you so much." Lewis's voice was muffled because he was hugging the two girls.
Marie smiled, snuggling into her father's embrace, while Pietra squeezed her eyes shut, holding his arms. "I wish daddy would come home..." The youngest said softly.
Y/n turned around quickly, biting her lower lip to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. She reached out to grab the dishes from the cupboard, trying to concentrate on the task and ignore the pain it caused her.
Lewis closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before hugging them even tighter. "I know, my love... It's going to be okay."
Then he heard Lewis say in a lighter tone, "I brought you something."
The girls moved away a little, curious. Lewis stood up and took the two small bouquets from the counter and handed them to his daughters.
Marie's eyes widened as she took the flowers and smiled, smelling them fondly. "Thank you, Daddy! They're beautiful and smell great!"
She hugged her father's neck, and Lewis smiled, kissing the top of her head, looking closely at her crooked bangs.
Pietra held the bouquet, studying the flowers before commenting with a thoughtful expression. "I wish they were yellow to match my dress... But they're beautiful anyway."
Y/n chuckled softly at her daughter's comment, while Lewis laughed out loud. "Okay, boss. I'll be making a note in my diary to buy it next time," he joked.
Y/n placed the plates on the counter and picked up the cake she had made with the girls, placing it next to the cutlery. When her eyes fell on the box of chocolates Lewis had brought, she frowned, but didn't say anything. Thinking that she had forgotten to give them to the girls.
Marie, still clutching the bouquet, pointed discreetly to the box on the counter. "What's this, Daddy?"
Lewis looked in his daughter's direction, then turned to Y/n and smiled before picking up the box from the counter and walking around to face his wife.
"Chocolates for Mom. Her favorites."
Y/n's eyes widened, taking the box hesitantly. Her fingers trembled slightly, and Lewis saw that her face was still streaked with the tears she had tried to hide.
She smiled, even shyly, and murmured a thank you. Then, without thinking much, she ran her hand over his biceps, an unconscious gesture, but one that made Lewis feel something inside him straighten out. As if, finally, things were getting back on track.
The girls laughed, and Lewis smiled. "You always need something sweet after dinner, don't you?"
She placed the box on the counter, sighing. "I'll leave it here and eat it after dinner."
Y/n rolled her eyes with a shy smile and looked at the cake. "Oh, you know!" She shrugged and Lewis chuckled softly. "I'm going upstairs to get the girls' bags. The cake has cooled down, you can eat it."
The girls let out an excited scream and run to the table to sit down. Y/n smiles as she watches the two little girls run past her.
Lewis smiles before his wife leaves the room and begins helping the girls serve themselves.
Y/n walked up the stairs slowly, feeling the weight of everything that had happened in the last few minutes. When she entered the girls' room, the environment carried their innocence and sweetness - beds made with themed blankets, stuffed animals scattered around and small details that told the story of the childhood that she and Lewis were building for their daughters.
She picked up the two suitcases on wheels, which had been packed since the night before, and took a deep breath before leaving the room. As she walked down the hallway, her eyes fell on the photographs hanging on the wall—memories of a time that seemed so long ago, but that still lived on in every detail of that house.
There was a photo of her and Lewis, still young, with wide smiles and eyes shining with happiness, at one of the first GPs they had attended together. In another, they were hugging in the living room of that same house, with moving boxes in the background, their faces full of anticipation for the new phase of their lives. And then, a photo of Marie, newborn, in Lewis's arms, who was smiling as if she had just discovered the meaning of the universe.
There were so many others, but Y/n couldn't look and remember that it was all distant now.
Y/n felt her chest tighten and tears welled up without her being able to stop them. But she kept walking anyway. When she reached the top of the stairs, she saw Lewis approaching and climbing a few steps to help her. He picked up the bags easily, without any effort, and placed them on the floor. But before Y/n could get down, he noticed her face wet with tears.
Downstairs, the daughters' voices still echoed in the kitchen, excited about the cake. However, at that moment, there was only Lewis there, standing in front of her, his brown eyes meeting hers with an intensity that made her feel stripped of all the barriers she tried to maintain.
She wrapped her arms around Lewis’s neck, clinging to him as if her body had acted on its own. The sobs came loud, deep, full of everything she had held in for the past few weeks. The sobs were intense, painful, the sound tearing at Lewis’s heart.
For a second, no one said anything. And then, without warning, Y/n threw herself into his arms.
He held her tightly, running his hands down her back, feeling her shoulders tremble. The smell of her perfume mixed with her tears made him close his eyes and swallow the lump in his throat.
Lewis pressed his face into Y/n's hair and, even without meaning to, let a few tears escape. He hated seeing her like this. I hated being away from them.
He carefully walked down the last few steps with Y/n crying in his arms and took her to the living room. Time seemed to stand still until a childish voice snapped them out of their trance.
"Can I have another piece?" Marie appeared in the doorway of the room with a smile on her face, but lost it when she saw the scene. Her eyes widened. "Is Mommy okay?"
Y/n quickly pulled away from her husband's arms, wiping away her tears in a hurry while Lewis was still caressing her back, trying to comfort her.
“Mommy… Mommy’s fine.” She forced a smile, walking over to her daughter and bending down to her level. “Just work stuff.”
Marie tilted her head and frowned, but soon hugged her mother. Y/n closed her eyes and ran her fingers through her daughter's hair, feeling her heart melt at the gesture.
Lewis watched this and for a moment, everything inside him screamed that this was the family he should never have left.
"WOW, WHERE IS EVERYONE?!" Pietra shouted from the kitchen, impatient.
Laughter escaped Y/n and Lewis’s lips at the same time. Even Marie rolled her eyes. “I have to get P to stop screaming,” Marie muttered, crossing her arms. “If not, she’ll spend the whole weekend screaming in the paddock and scaring the fans.”
Lewis laughed and ran his hand through his daughter's hair. "We'll figure it out, don't worry."
He went to the kitchen in search of the youngest, leaving his wife and Marie alone. Y/n observed her oldest daughter, who now looked at her in a different way.
"You wanted more cake, right?"
Marie hesitated, then shook her head. “Not now, I just…” Her dark eyes, like her father’s, searched her mother’s face, as if searching for something. “Were you crying because of Dad?”
"You. Crying because of Daddy," Marie said matter-of-factly. "I know he left because you two fought a while ago. And I also hear you crying softly in your room at dawn. It's because of him, isn't it?"
Y/n stopped messing with the girl's unruly bangs and frowned. "What, daughter?"
Y/n's chest tightened. The air felt heavier. She felt vulnerable, as if she had been caught off guard, not knowing how to respond.
"Yeah..." She swallowed and smiled softly, placing her hands on her daughter's little face. "But don't worry, sweetie, it's going to be okay, okay? I want you to have fun with Grandma and Daddy at the race." She stood up.
Marie nodded, but before letting go of her mother, she hugged her legs, squeezing tightly. "Okay... But I want you to stay right here too."
Y/n closed her eyes and sighed, caressing her daughter's back. Marie had always been like this: sweet, calm, understanding. She had a natural patience and a keen sensitivity, always picking up on emotions that not even Y/n could hide. She was the type who noticed when someone was sad and would stay by that person's side in silence, offering comfort with just her presence.
Y/n smiled and ran her fingers through her hair. "I'll be fine. Auntie Anne is coming to spend the days with Mommy."
Marie's face lit up when she heard her mother's best friend's name. "Aunt Anne is nice. Tell her I said hi."
"I will say yes," Y/n assured, laughing.
It was at that moment that Lewis returned to the room with Pietra on his lap. They both had the same mischievous smile, they were identical. Pietra had some cake frosting on her face, making Y/n laugh and move closer.
"Oh my God, P, you're all dirty!" She began to wipe her daughter's cheek.
Pietra laughed and shook in her father's lap. "I'm a walking cake!" They laughed.
Pietra was the complete opposite of Marie. She was a burst of energy in the form of a child. Always on the move, talkative and full of crazy ideas. Her laugh was loud and contagious, and her ability to make jokes in any situation made everyone around her laugh—even Marie, who pretended to be annoyed, but deep down she adored her little sister.
"That would explain a lot..." Y/n joked, wiping away the last traces of frosting.
The Ferrari driver glanced at the watch on his wrist and sighed softly, knowing it was time to go. "Alright, girls, let's go," he announced, looking at Marie, who nodded quickly before turning to grab her suitcase.
Lewis watched the scene, his heart heavy. This was his family. His world. And in that moment, all he wanted to do was fight to never be away from them again.
In his lap, Pietra began to shake, restless as ever. "I need to get something from my room!" She suddenly announced, before slipping out of her father's arms and running towards the stairs.
"Pietra, be careful on the stairs!" Lewis and Y/n said at the same time, in perfect sync.
The two looked at each other, surprised to have spoken together, and an involuntary smile appeared on both their lips. It was one of those spontaneous moments, where the connection between them still felt so natural after all.
Roscoe appeared in the room at that moment, yawning and walking slowly towards Lewis, his sleepy expression revealing that he had just woken up from one of his long naps. Lewis bent down to scratch the dog's head, a small smile on his face.
"Will you miss them, champ? I'll bring the girls back, I promise."
Y/n, already more relieved after the tension of the previous moment, crossed her arms and tilted her head, looking at Roscoe.
"I think he'll enjoy this little vacation... He'll be able to sleep without being woken up by someone yelling in his ear."
Lewis laughed at the comment, knowing it was true. Pietra especially loved to involve Roscoe in her games, and the dog patiently endured everything from strange hairstyles to impromptu parades around the yard.
However, minutes passed and Pietra still hadn’t returned. Lewis frowned and stood up. “I’ll help Marie carry the suitcase to the car.”
Marie smiled in thanks, and Y/n handed her another backpack that was on the couch.
The two followed Lewis to the door, Yin walking beside her eldest daughter and placing a gentle hand on her back. Marie walked a little further out of the house to hand the backpack to her father, who took it with a fond smile.
"Thank you, my sunshine," he said, before leaning down and kissing the top of his daughter's head.
Y/n blinked a few times, holding back a laugh at the sight. Pietra was holding a princess dress up, making sure it didn't drag on the ground, and on her feet were a pair of shiny children's heels, which made a funny noise on the sidewalk with each step.
Marie smiled shyly and walked back to her mother. But then, before she could say anything, Pietra finally appeared.
Marie looked at her sister with an expression of pure confusion before shooting a look at her mother, as if asking for some explanation.
Meanwhile, Lewis, distracted by packing his bags in the trunk, still hadn't noticed. He stood up and looked around.
"And where is Pi..." He stopped mid-sentence as he saw her approaching in her sparkling dress and shoes, her face pure with determination.
Y/n crossed her arms and laughed softly, tilting her head, while Marie continued to be confused. Lewis gave an amused smile.
Pietra handed him the dress and declared, with all seriousness in the world: "I thought it would be interesting to wear this dress. I'll be a hit in the paddock."
The silence lasted for half a second before Y/n couldn't hold back her laughter any longer. She laughed out loud, throwing her head back, the sound echoing through the entrance of the house.
Lewis, Marie and Pietra turned to her, surprised by her unexpected reaction.
Lewis couldn't remember the last time he had heard Y/n laugh like that. A genuine laugh, the kind that comes out without control, without holding back. It was a sound he missed-and realizing it hurt more than he cared to admit.
Y/n tried to catch her breath, waving her hands.
"Okay, okay... Sorry, P."
Pietra just shrugged, unaffected, and walked over to her mother and sister, while Lewis still smiled, shaking his head.
"Well, if anyone in the paddock complains, we already know that Pietra has a fashion plan B," Lewis joked as he closed the trunk.
He opened the car doors for the girls, who ran to Y/n before getting in. Marie and Pietra hugged their mother at the same time, their little arms squeezing her affectionately.
"Behave with grandma, okay? And have a lot of fun with daddy at the race" Y/n asked, kissing each of their foreheads.
Y/n knew they would be fine. Marie was the sweetest and most responsible child, and Pietra, as ecstatic as she was, had a huge heart and an easy way of making anyone smile. They were the easiest and most wonderful children to take care of.
"Yes, Mommy," they both replied in unison.
She gave each of them a tight hug before letting them run to their father's car. Marie got in first and settled into the seat, while Pietra, still holding her princess dress, climbed into the car seat with excitement.
Y/n stood at the door, watching Lewis fasten their belts and chatting animatedly. He was joking with Pietra, laughing at something she said, while Marie was already settling herself comfortably, calm as always.
He was an incredible father, present, who did everything for them. And Y/n knew that no matter how complicated their relationship was at the moment, their daughters were the most beautiful and strongest part they shared.
Lewis carefully closed the backseat doors and then turned to Y/n. She was standing there, hands in her jeans pocket, watching him with an unreadable expression.
She watched as he began to approach and, unable to help it, she frowned a little. Her heart skipped a beat in her chest, as it did every time he smiled at her in that sweet way, since the beginning of their relationship.
The pilot stopped right in front of her, placing his hands on her shoulders. His gaze fell on her face, taking in every detail, noticing the dried tear marks on her skin. But now she was smiling. Even if it was a questioning smile, even if there was a heaviness in the air, it was a smile.
Lewis took a deep breath before saying softly, "I'll take good care of our girls."
Y/n nodded, still feeling the warmth of his hands on her shoulders. "I know. You're an amazing father... and an amazing husband too."
She said the last part quietly, but Lewis heard it. His chest tightened as he realized there was still a thread of hope between them. A way back.
Lewis stared at her for a few more seconds, trying to absorb the moment, to commit it to memory. Then, in a more serious tone, he asked, "Can we talk after I get back from the race?"
Y/n's heart raced. The weight of the conversation that awaited them was unavoidable, but the way Lewis was handling everything made her feel less scared. She nodded.
"Of course, we need to."
Pietra had rolled down the window and was looking at them excitedly, making Lewis and Y/n laugh awkwardly. Inside the car, Marie rolled her eyes and scolded her sister.
Before he could say anything else, a little scream came from the car: "Daddy, kiss Mommy! Kiss Mommy!"
Lewis turned to Y/n with a playful look. "A kiss?"
She laughed. "On the cheek..."
He smiled, knowing that this small gesture was already a step forward. Then, he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. Y/n closed her eyes for a brief moment, feeling a shiver run down her spine. When she opened her eyes again, she realized that she was smiling involuntarily.
"Yay!" Pietra shouted from the car, clapping her hands.
Marie sighed and asked her sister to close the window, as her parents were 'having an important moment.
The couple laughed and Lewis looked at his daughters, shaking his head. "They're so different from each other... so unique."
"Don't even tell me. But that's what makes them so special," Y/n replied, crossing her arms.
He smiled and started walking away, heading to the car. "See you in a few days then?"
"Yes," Y/n nodded, a small smile still on her lips.
Lewis got into the car and started the engine. Before leaving, Marie and Pietra waved excitedly through the window. Y/n returned the gesture, watching the car drive away down the street until it disappeared through the gate of the condominium.
She stood there for a few seconds, absorbing the feeling that was taking over her chest. Of course, they needed to talk. There were things that needed to be said, scars that needed to be healed.
But as she remembered his words: 'But I don't want a divorce. I want you. Only you. And our girls.' A sense of relief washed over her.
That thought made her take a deep breath. The weight she was carrying felt a little lighter now, even though the tears threatened to come back.
Sighing, Y/n went back inside the house and closed the door. Roscoe came towards her, still sleepy, and she smiled, running her hand over his head. "You'll have a few days of peace, friend. Without the girls running after you."
Y/n went to the kitchen and grabbed her phone, unlocking the screen. The lock screen was still a picture of her and Lewis. With him kissing her cheek on the beach, while her arms were around her husband's neck.
The dog just wagged his tail, heading to his bed.
And then there was a new message from her best friend. 'Catching the last connection, I'll be there in two hours. Get the wine and gossip ready!'
Y/n laughs as she reads the message and responds with something quick and sweet.
That weekend would bring some emotions, but she felt that in the end, things would be okay again.
