I love helping to support these creators the best that I can: my bank account and my praise, sharing the beauty of their creations. If i ever get my hands on a ton of money... 😂 This artist is super sweet and talented. I'd discovered them a while ago then rediscovered them.

To begin... While I don't condone murder, 😂 I love Dabi exactly as he is.. I fell for him for a reason, after all. That said, I do want healing for him. In my fanfic/shifting DR "Twin Flames", there exists a world where I help Touya find a different path. He comes to terms with his past, discovers his self worth, and finds value in who he is beyond the expectations his father dropped on his shoulders as a young boy.

Dabi, in all of his wicked perfection, was born of Touya's trauma and pain. He lives for revenge and can't see beyond his own suffering. He wants to destroy himself in an effort to make his father see him, acknowledge him. He wants the man he admired to regret giving up on him. Dabi views himself as a failure, unable to live up to Enji's expectations, incapable of fulfilling the "purpose" for his existence. He feels rejected, abandoned, replaced. That's not a life I'd wish on the man I love. He deserves better. He deserves a chance at happiness and love and peace.

In "Twin Flames", Touya finds fame and fortune and reconciliation with his mother and siblings. (And eventuslly to an extent with his father after the birth of our daughter.) His life isn't perfect. There are still people who blindly support Endeavor and accuse Touya of lying. They begrudge him the place he's found, and some of them are fanatics. Touya has to be cautious. He also has difficult fans to contend with, and sometimes the tour bus breaks down. The equipment doesn't always work properly, and we have to spend a lot of time apart due to our careers. But he has love, friends, a support system, and a solid sense of self that he was never able to develop in his father's shadow. So, while this does change who he is in a way, it is healthier for him.

Honestly, I would follow Dabi into the heart of his flames, but if I had the option, I would give Touya a chance to thrive, a chance to live for something more than dying.

dabi with his wife. his scars would almost split from his wide smiles around you. he’d spend his early mornings moving closer to you in bed and wrapping an arm around you, pulling your face into his chest as he presses the softest kisses on your head. he’s careful to not graze you with the metal of his stitches, but that doesn’t stop him from admiring your sleeping form. when you’re looking your worst after a bad night’s sleep or a bad day at work, he goes easy on you with his teasing. he knows how it feels, to be stressed and annoyed with in need of an outlet. except, he feels guilty that you perhaps hadn’t the courage to tell him everything. if you had, he wouldn’t have to smile at pictures of you instead of smiling in your presence. he wouldn’t had to have resorted to his old ways, roaming the streets at the darkest hours and engaging in the things you told him to stop doing. what was the point anymore? he promised he’d stop his fights and you promised to stay with him forever. your tombstone broke your promise, so why couldn’t he break his?

as a vigilante dabi advocate, i do wonder if dabi's moral compass was, more so, greatly influenced by stain's words that perfectly encapsulated that directionless feeling he held for a long time, or was more of an amalgamation of his previous hero aspirations and unfortunate experience trying to become one (familial circumstances considered)

yes, dabi's descent into madness is tragic with great storytelling elements... but if dabi had a chance to become mentally better (and not *completely* succumb to the self-destructive path of vengeance and self-immolation), what do you guys believe should be included in his redemption arc story from villain to vigilante?

I'm not sure if I see many people saying this, but I feel it's important.

If any part of your f/o's media makes you upset for whatever reason, you don't have to engage in it. You can stay away from episodes, movies, game levels, issues, even entire shows, even a fandom. It doesn't make you a bad fan, or a bad partner to your f/o. It just makes you someone who likes engaging in things that make you happy. After all, I don't think your f/o would want to be miserable because you feel like you have to prove your love for them.
