So there's Calida, Dew/Step-Dad Aether

Angst - I like to think there's a section in her growing up that scares her pretty damn good and that's her accidentally going into the lake after chasing Rain and Dew just really fucking fast jumps in and grabs her out. Once they're out she's able to see Dew shaking, crying, and once he hands her over to Aether she's able to see and realize he's hurt really bad. He's just calming her, making sure she can't see his blisters and burns. More importantly he's checking over her and not giving a two-time shit about his injuries. She's now extremely hyper aware of water being around her Mana.

Fluff - Even as she grows up, she never stops saying "Mana" and "Daba/Bada" which is basically mama banana and daddy banana. Literally when she comes to visit or they visit her she just starts squealing, jumping up and down before running over. "MANA! MANA! AAHH!! DABA!!!" definitely a daddy's girl still, whining and giving the best puppy eyes to get what she wants from Aether.

Starlight, Phantom/Dew/Swiss' kid!

Angst - Phantom has really strange feelings for his son, it's more so just constantly disbelief of; "This is mine?" Phantom is still an absolutely amazing parent, and luckily the feelings are super rare! It was mostly around with postpartum, and when it does happen, Phantom has a little codeword with the others that's "I need blanket time." They'll take Starlight and the other that doesn't will follow Phantom to reassure him and let them explain what they're feeling. They just need a break every now and then

Fluff - "Little bit" is a mutt when it comes to his element. He's more Quintessence/Fire than anything else but he's showed others! Starlight has popped a flower sprout on the top of his head before and Swiss just "Oops." It's an absolute fun adventure during the toddler stages, trying to duck away as Starlight thinks it's the funnest game in the world to use his telekinesis to throw his toys at his parents. He's got Swiss' attitude and Dew's rowdiness all in one it's a FUN time /lh

His instincts take over a lot when she's near, curling up next to her, grooming, and sometimes even scruffing when he feels they need to be alone. She knows that Bell is her parent, but also knows their relationship is a little weird, but she doesn't look at him any less and just honestly adores Bell. She's an earth ghoul through and through! Loves playing in the mud and collecting rocks, sometimes Bell, Gaia, and her will have nap time in the forest and they even have a little tree hammock 🥺🥺

Oh wow. I haven't done one of these reactions in a while, but tldr I'm in a much better head space now and as a 96er, I would be remiss if I did not react to Ten's newest mini album.

Overall, I would say that this mini seems to kind of reflect or embody the WayV and NCT vibe a bit more, but it's still Ten-like. vs the first mini felt more... distinct and unique to Ten ?? anyways.

This title track is sooo fitting. LOVE.

Really love the crooning chorus, it's just so sleek and allows Ten to show his vocal range

The rap verse rhythm and delivery is just. So WayV. It so easily could have been Hendery or Yangyang delivering those bars, bc it's just. So in that style.

The chorus is just... slaps. It drips with confidence.

I normally get a bit ick at how different versions of a song can sound very different based on how the assonance and rhyming of the lyrics can vary, but this stayed pretty on brand in terms of sound while also making very specific intentional changes.

Episode 6: The Live Broadcast Murder

“Shit! Hast du eine Bindehautentzündung?” (Do you have conjunctivitis?) Toto exclaimed as he saw again his friend with pink red eyes at the opening of episode 6.

I was a bit taken aback with German-dubbed Toto Isshiki. He’s so generous using cuss words. It feels like he’s used to it when he’s in a pinch or in an unpleasant situation that it comes out from his mouth automatically. What would his Oma say?

There’s a particular reason why it made me 100 per cent convinced that Youhei Azakami truly embodies Ron’s voice. Not only he was playful when he sang his daba-daba-du, but during the Live Broadcast Murder arc, Azakami’s rendition—the way he gasped and then called out Toto’s name—is more dramatic, pronounced, and dare I say, erotic that reminds me more of the voice he uses when he does his BL CDs. I love it. I love, love, love it! There is a desperate ring to it, as if half of him had died.

However, Ron’s German dub is urgent, a matter of fact, very surprised, alarmed.

I guess, it helps when one is a singer, which Azakami is.

Yet, overall, German-dub Ron’s delivery of his incoming depression at the tail end of the case is almost the same like the original JP version.

When Ron DE dub replied to Toto’s declaration that they shouldn’t stop doing it because they are doing the right thing, I felt that. Then Toto showed the invitation that made me think, “is the anime really setting up something different from the manga?”!

I realised that upon watching the anime again, there is this part where Toto was so taken of Princess Ori that Ron’s opening the dome’s roof was intentional. Toto was so mesmerised of the Orion Constellation idol that Onadera then said after seeing Toto’s face that just by watching Princess Ori he became an astronomy fan and Ron found a way to interrupt it.

Anyway, did I say that I am loving the fact that this Toto is fond of cursing.

Fuck ! Said Toto upon seeing what transpired inside the dome and thinking that Ron was hurt or worse dead.

RonToto called Orihime as Vega in German dub.

When Toto ran outside to begin searching for evidence to exonerate Ron, instead of “to investigate of course!” Toto’s reply was a resolute “Dir dein arsch (zu) retten!”! (To save your ass!)

Episode 8

I cannot believe that German dub Ron really said: “No shit Sherlock !” We know this moniker, but Ron sounded as if he was making fun of his ancestor. 😼

It is very noticeable how the silence in between the conversation of John Grizzly and Toto dominated the scenes. Grizzly tried to scrutinise RonToto’s relationship that took Toto by surprise because what could he say he didn’t know this person much.

All in all it was a decent German dub.

I forgot to add that during the second episode, when Ron assured Amamiya that Toto would solve the Piggybank murder case, he told Toto’s boss :

“You can go home, Frau Amamiya!”

Proof that Ron in the anime doesn’t have any interest on the female police officer.
