✦゜ANSWERED: I know you asked for [REDACTED] specifically, but everything mentioned below could also apply to Ren as well ^^;

I'm sure most people already know about Ren's red room days, but for the newer folks: he used to livestream himself torturing his victims on the dark web. He would also harvest and sell their organs for extra cash.

His red room phase began after a group of upperclassmen started livestreaming themselves bullying people (Angel included) for attention online. If those teens wanted a taste of online fame that badly, Ren would be all too happy to give it to them — especially after he heard all the degrading things they said about Angel during their stream.

Ren has probably sniffed (licked???) Angel's underwear on multiple occasions lmao

He also keeps a bunch of their discarded cups, mugs, bottles, etc. — and on the days when he's feeling especially lonely — Ren likes to put his lips where Angel's would've been and treat it like it's an indirect kiss.

If Angel is fine with it, Ren would be more than willing to carve his name into their skin. He'd have to use an ample amount of his numbing cream though (typically reserved for when he gives himself tattoos and piercings), since he doesn't want them to be in any pain.

Similarly, he'd also be willing to carve their name into his skin as well — as many times as Angel would want. But he already has multiple tattoos of their name on his skin, so.... gksgsjj

I'm sure everyone already knows this, but Ren has an entire shrine dedicated to Angel. He keeps all his sentimental and stolen items there.

Ren genuinely has no empathy for anyone other than Angel, so if they were to ask him to murder his own mother (or his sister, his best friend, etc.) and bring back their heart, he'd do it with a smile on his face.

Because he has no empathy, Ren would probably enjoy watching snuff films like it's any other B-tier horror film. To him, it's just more research material on how he can get rid of his competition.

I've mentioned this in the past, but Ren has jacked off to the thought of Angel while in the library lol

I made a post back in 2022 that mentioned how Ren would willingly offer up any of his body parts to a cannibal!Angel, and I think the point still stands!!

He likes to put Angel's stolen laundry on his body pillow and rut into/hump it 😟

I once mentioned that Ren would slap a barcode sticker on his sledgehammer to make it look less... questionable whenever he carries it around in broad daylight — but alongside that, I think he'd also carry around some tools and an unopened can of paint to make it seem like he's just doing renovations. In reality, he'd probably force his victims to drink paint or gargle nails teehee

The fact that Calypso initially resented Leo just based on his looks. Because he didn’t look as “heroic” as Percy or Odysseus. Or Jason.

The fact that Leo already believed that he was a mistake. That he was worthless compared to the others, because he wasn’t the stereotypical “Hero”

You see it so many times in the books- Leo doesn’t think he’s as important as Jason or Percy because they’re your archetypal “Big Heroes” and Leo’s just the Lowly Mechanic, the Seventh Wheel, the Comedy Sidekick.

Calypso only reinforces that.

The fact that, in the end, when it comes down to Leo or Jason, Leo decides to take the prophecy into his own hands and end his life because ultimately it’s better the Repair Boy dies than someone who actually matters.

Calypso made Leo feel worthless. And Leo’s lack of self-worth (which I believe is his Fatal Flaw) is ultimately what drives his decision to sacrifice himself and save Jason.

Rook wakes up in the middle of the night and hears what appears to be a man in boots stomping through snow.

"Emmrich. Emmrich. There's a yeti in the living room."

"Shh." Emmrich presses two fingers to their mouth and purses his lips and does not open his eyes. He's very dedicated to beauty sleep. When he found out Lucanis routinely stays up for 72 consecutive hours, he stared blankly at a wall for four straight minutes. "My love. It's far too early."

Rook swats his arm. "Yeti! In! The living room!"

"Darling, yetis haven't been seen since the Steel Age, and they were native to the Frostback--"

"Why do you know this?" Rook hisses. The evil snowman noises are intensifying. They flop around with the pillows for a moment and eventually succeed in locating their mage knife wedged beside the headboard. When they turn back over, Emmrich grabs their wrist and neatly twists the knife out of their hand--which just proves that he's never quite as asleep as he seems, and also that Rook needs to goad him into holding them down more often.

Thoughts for another time.

"It's Manfred," Emmrich sighs, long suffering, and drops the mage knife over the side of the bed.

"If you chip my knife--"

"Shh," Emmrich says again. The fingers are back. Rook bites one of them and Emmrich doesn't even react, just waits patiently like the owner of a particularly troublesome cat. He says, "Manfred has a bauble--a small sphere--that can show certain sounds and images. He enjoys ones involving sand. Also water, and occassionally nugs."

There's a lot to unpack here, though the one that Rook chooses is, "Nugs?" Emmrich's fingertip in their mouth makes it sound like 'nng?' but Emmrich is, it has to be said, an extremely clever man, so he gets the jist.

"Yes. He finds them funny and cute, I think. There's a particular very clumsy nug living in a defunct Thaig in northern Ferelden that he enjoys watching."

"And the sphere accesses these images by...?"

"Manipulating certain benign energies in the Veil." Emmrich lifts a hand, spreads his fingers and sends little aesthetic swirls of magic puffing up from his fingers. One of them is shaped like a heart. He says, "It's magic, my dear." It's a move he's used before. It's a really good move that he will continue to use because Rook loves it so fucking much and it works every damn time.

"Why is he playing with his orb at Fade o'clock at night?" It's daylight outside, as it always is, but Rook feels in their bones that it's the witching hour. Very late or very early and very liminal in nature.

Emmrich shifts very close to them, bringing his warmth and his sweetness, and traces the pad of his thumb over their cheek. "Manfred does not sleep, and nights are very long. It's easy for a spirit with such a sociable personality to feel lonely in the dark and stillness. He needed something to...help him pass the time, and remind him of all the little, wonderful things he might see in this world."

"Emmrich," Rook whispers, quietly delighted. "You gave him dreams."

"That's...quite astute of you, darling. I suppose, if one looks at it in that way--"

A blast of chaotic sound echoes from the living area. They shoot up as one, and Rook is already halfway through a vault over Emmrich's knees to get their forsaken knife when a sort of apologetic hissing issues frantically from the bottom of the stairs.

"The volume," Emmrich sighs, palm on his face, "is touchy."

Rook can do very little but laugh.

Oh, I just realized that I also have a question! What type of a Minecraft player is Ren/[Redacted]?

⌞♥⌝ Ren is the "stay and build the home" kind of Minecraft player — unless you ask him to do the mining — and takes his role very seriously. Give him any kind of housing aesthetic and he'll easily replicate it by the time you come back from collecting materials. Just... Don't ask him why your Minecraft beds are next to each other. You also didn't ask for this, but I think Ren would use a Haruko-themed skin specifically for his avatar!!

[REDACTED] makes children cry by using hacks in Minecraft Bedwars. Otherwise, they're off in creative mode to build a shrine/monument in Angel's likeness. Their Minecraft skin is literally all black (I'm talking #000000) with Angel's name/initials hidden underneath the head. Because of this, mining with them is like a genuine horror experience — especially when he holds down the shift button while inside a cave.

The whole excerpt feels like DA:V foreshadowing. Here's parts of it:
