Neverafter fans enjoy all my doodles so far of the boys

On tiktok there’s this meme that’s like “I’ve never had an original experience in my life” well I think I might be having one. Let me present the facts:

Fact number 1: As a very young child I had a special interest in Disneys Pinnochio. I asked my parents to watch “Nocchio” almost every single day for, to quote my mother “at least six months.” I was particularly enthralled by the scene where Candlewick and Pinnochio turn into donkeys. I loved it so much. I wanted to turn into a donkey just like them. It got to the point where my mom made me a donkey tail out of felt and a little hat with donkey ears attached. I wore it every day to pre school.

Fact number 2: Despite my initial love for Pinnochio, somehow watching it almost every day for 6 months straight embedded a deep and profound fear of whales in my brain. I lived quite close to the ocean as a child. The first time my mom tried to take me whale watching I cried and screamed the entire time they were trying to get me on the boat and I spent the whole time upset. The second time I went whale watching we saw a whale breach and I fainted. The fear is mostly gone now and since one does not encounter whales very often in daily life, I don’t think about it often. My heart-rate still low key increases when I watch videos of people swimming with whales.

Fact number 3: In the last year I have become obsessed with Dimension 20. Lou Wilson is my favorite <3 my scrungly wungly my silly rabbit. I have been keeping up to date with their most recent season Neverafter.

Fact number 4: After already experiencing the visceral and terrible horror that was witnessing my childhood best friend Candlewick be Grant-O’Brien-ified and described as having “soft teeth”… I have come to the conclusion (along with many other people) that the party will likely be fighting The Dogfish/Monstro on Wednesday.

Conclusion: I might be the only person in the world who on Wednesday is facing genuine visceral fear from Lou Wilson’s pretend guy having to fight a pretend whale due to my profoundly autistic childhood. And if that’s what Brennan Lee Mulligan has to do to finally genuinely scare me well. Huh.

So this is gonna sound weird, but rrwatching Neverafter I think Pinocchio's Stepmother is actually her shadow. When they first met Brennan introduces it as "its very quick and sudden how the shadow moves on the village" like that's a weird ass thing to say about a person. And sure, it's "time of shadows" so maybe it's just referring to all the bad shit. But Pinocchio has never actually seen his Stepmother. Brennan stated that. He has seen the door clearly visible and brightly lit. But only his Stepmother's silhouette. She is cloaked in shadow because she is a shadow. A shadow of her former self? What the magic had reduced her to? Or a shadow the split off from her body and is genuinely trying to help? No idea but she doesn't have a body

i know the editors have gotten a lot of shit for things like mirror brennan and some weird scene cuts, but this completely makes up for it, this was so epic and so well done

Honestly i love that destinys children genrally is pretty low chasima but try to make up for it by having a high charisma face, the only issue being that said face is played by Lou Wilson a man cursed with a never ending dedication to the bit that means he ends up saying stuff so wild that a high charisma character could never roll high enough to not let his antics cause complete chaos
