Found this little f.awn today, everything above the ears and below the belly was really mushy so I only took the spotted spine. I’ve never worked on any deer before, and that’s an intentional choice, but I couldn’t pass up this little one.

oh yeah, never did post an update on Jerky D.eer - he's clean of said jerky now but also covered in green and in need of a degrease/detailing. that's on hold rn though because I need a better container for it 😔. still happy with the progress though! :D

the stinky bone soup is no more, i couldnt figure out how the fuck to get it to work anymore cos im impatient and not practised in this so i used too much bio to the point that the outer bone was dissolving but the inner stank was still there so i gave up after pulling out all the teeth and putting them in a spice jar with washing up liquid to make something out of a horror movie

ill send pictures after im done showering cos i need to scrub that smell off, it stank like the worst case of morning breath up in your face that just doesnt go away

i kept the teeth cos the d.eer was old so the teeth look super interesting :3

i love flea markets in the middle of buttfuck nowhere i just bought a d.eer mount for fucking $30, i’ve gotten a really good quality one for $75 as well as an older b.obcat for $120 from the same spot before. the location of my dreams tbqh

the one i just bought is a little scraggly so i’m gonna turn him into a project and dye his fur i think. will be an experiment :)

also forgot to post about him until just now but i found a new furry friend just before finding the three-antlered d.eer! didn't realize just how big this bad boy would be, and for a complete steal (the seller knocked it down to ⅓ the price if I picked it up myself because it would be an absolute bitch to ship lmao)

and yes, he was jabbing me in the shoulder the entire drive home lol. totally worth it
