From within-infant-rind: ask for an ask! For the dnd ask, how long have you been playing dnd? What got your into it? Also, tell me about your favourite character!

So, I've been playing D&D for about a full year now, since October last year... which is kinda crazy when I think about it

As for favourite D&D character, I swear just about all of them are my favourite but I've been playing lots of Giovanni.

Giovanni is my Half-Orc Oathbreaker Paladin who just happens to be part of the mafia. As the oldest member of the party and the only one who has a staggering one healing spell, he has accidentally become party dad. Basically he's just a gruff, strong half-orc trying to keep these kids out of trouble and failing.

He also has an eldritch tentacle thing, that he calls Cecil, that talks to him and gives him his oathbreaker powers and also happens to be two of the party members patrons. Though only he knows that.

Touchstarved + Pokémon Crossover

I'm a big fan of the two games, so for the heck of it, I decided to throw the main cast of Touchstarved into the world of Pokémon! I came up with some Pokémon they might use and what their roles could be if they were in it >:D

Leander

Considering his role in the TS universe and how sociable he is, I think he’d make a great Gym Leader! He was probably a member of the Elite Four but he dropped out. Leander's Bloodhounds would be the trainers that fight you before you get to him! (Despite his position, he may also just be a Little Bit Evil™, kind of like Giovanni) I can see him having a more varied team, but he seems suitable for Poison/Bug type! (or Normal type to really emphasise that he’s normal guys he’s so normal- /j /lh)

His team might look something like:

Scizor

Venusaur

Nidoqueen

Ais

Honestly?? I can see him filling a lot of roles! (It's because of the protagonist energy he gives off-) I can see him being a Gym Leader like Leander, but I love the image of him being a rival to the MC! He’d probably prefer more tougher Pokémon in a fight (though I don’t think he’d shy away from Pokémon that are harder to raise), so he might lean towards Fighting and Water type. (He’d also have a dog Pokémon nicknamed Princess,,)

Part of his team might look like:

Garchomp/Gyarados

Machoke/Machamp

I can see him being a Pokémon Professor or Teacher! He’d probably lean towards Fairy and Normal type :D I can see him having service Pokémon (like how Nurse Joy has her Chansey), if only because he is a doctor in the original TS universe... (I also like to think that even though his team may be comprised of service Pokémon, if they were put in a fight, they would absolutely destroy the other team 💀)

His team might look like:

(Gardevoir/Gallade?)

They’d probably be a Pokémon Researcher? I don’t think they’d have that many Pokémon on their team, to be honest,, They might have a preference towards Flying + Ghost types, but I have a hard time seeing them being super into Pokémon battles - they probably only fight when it's necessary!

I think he’d be an admin on one of the enemy teams! (Maybe the Senobium in this universe is the enemy team...?) He’d be a very skilled trainer - his Pokémon are probably more focussed on speed and attacking-- I can see him leaning towards Fire and Dark type!

I can see her being a Pokémon Breeder! I like the image of her going off on a journey of a Pokémon Trainer and putting her duties as a breeder temporarily on hold, but I'm not entirely sure how it would kick off-- Maybe she goes on this journey to see the world, or, if we want to tie in the original game, go look for a cure to heal a mysterious illness of one of the Pokémon she looks after? I can see her team being Pokémon consisting of Psychic + Normal types!

Her team would include:

One problem I encountered tho is not having like... The canon designs for some pretty important characters, like Giovanni with young Pietro and Virgil; the guys who yoinked Armor; Vast's parents (ik he looks like a lot like her 'dad' but still-) and their SISTER, we've heard so much stuff about her in the memories but haven't actually seen her much.

Also remembering what birds everyone is is kinda making me go crazy but ok.

This could also be a really cute Collab idea ngl.

I really want to actually use some fanon ocs for the dead bird kiddos/teens (cause Heyhay made the post regarding how training ends at 16 so like, I presume they can get turned into birds even after 8 yo?) but I don't want to actually ask anyone cause my motivation sucks, even tho I have the ideas, and have divided the song in parts where specific characters will show up, and have started the storyboard, I am pretty sure it will just be another project left to be dusty :((( and I really don't want that to happen cause it happens every time and I hate that :(((

I drew this yesterday. Michael D. Mortemaster is a vampire of the blood-sucking variety. He's trans and a very feminine dude. He's the son of another OC of mine, Count Beefsteak...

Yeah, the hat with bat wings in this picture, the one Giovanni Monotoli wears when he's on the hunt for his enemies. That hat is Michael Mortemaster's father. Basically, before Count Beefsteak became a hat, before he even became a tomato sauce vampire, he was a normal blood-sucking vampire, and Michael was his offspring from that time.

I'm not sure how Mike meets Maurice, but... does it really surprise you that Maurice ends up dating the son of a bloodthirsty, murderous, very evil vampire?

Been playing a lot of D&D recently and been redrawing some memes with our characters for fun. So I decided to share them <3

This is my beloved half-orc oathbreaker paladin, Giovanni. As the oldest of the party, he's been assigned group dad against his will and one of these days it's gonna kill him.

Elio who is Giovanni's younger brother and definitly knows more about the mysterious contract and what's going on than the party :)

With these guys, they all have their own universes but sometimes two or so of them are in the same universe. But they all rotate around in my brain about who I’m fixated on so expect many different drawing of all of ‘em lmao-

My birthday is in July so I was already kind of thinking of doing another big drawing collab with all of our VTM ocs! (Don't really feel like having the Kindred celebrate 4th of July, so the next best July-based holiday, right? OC regret: I don’t really regret any of my ROTTMNT OC’s. I do have other OC’s from other fandoms that I regret tho, but that’s about it.

Something childish that they do: Since I got like 4 ROTTMNT OC’s I’m just gonna list them down and say what they do that is childish.

Adriaen: Doesn’t like changing his diet/change in general? Once he finds something that he’s used to or is comfortable with, he prefers it to stay that way

Ronin: Probably has like FOMO and just wants to be included in on things. Gets pouty when he’s not invited or something.

Giovanni: Doesn’t like wearing clothes and will try and rip them off him (there’s a picture of him on his back flailing his arms around cause he’s wearing a tux)

Three: Not much is known about him yet, but if I have to guess, I’d say he’s the type to possibly sleep with a toy or something when someone gives him a gift

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

So I answered this one here, but I'm going to cheat and pick a second favorite.

summer slipped us underneath her tongue will always have a special place in my heart, for sure. I call it my own Giovanni's Room, though nowhere as sad so how much like Giovanni's Room really is it hahah.

It was the first fully finished multi-chapter story I wrote for this fandom, and gosh I'm glad it was that one.

D: What’s the most personal fanfic you’ve written?

Oh it's got to be tender eyes that shine, the Carlos character study. Getting into the head-space of a character that hasn't truly allowed himself to cry was an adventure, and probably one I won't go on ever again. Not that I regret it, but it definitely left me in a weird head-space for a few months!

That said, I had so much fun playing around with the structure and wordplay. One of my favorite lines is said by one of my favorite OCs, Carlos' therapist, Dr. María Ortiz:

“Carlos, you died,” Dr. Ortiz is blunt with her phrasing. “Unless you’re Jesus Christ himself, that’s not something you can just walk back from.”

F: Is there a song or a playlist to associate with love can pull you out of yesterday?

I feel like saying Carole King's So Far Away is too easy and John Gorka's Love Is Our Cross to Bear is too much of layup since that's where the title comes from, so I'm going to go with Leaves by Charlie Dée.

I often say it sounds like the kind of music they play at the end of a bittersweet police procedural episode and those vibes are what helped me write the first two chapters I'm 100% serious.

N: Any fic ideas brewing that you’d care to share?

Oh I've always got dozens, but as of today, I plan to start writing an AU (an AU, what a shock!) where TK is a con-man on the run and Carlos is a bounty hunter chasing after him.

It's primarily just smut and at the moment, there's a little tinge of gun play, because why not?
