The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney is my 3rd audiobook this year. Chipping away at the #TBR mountain one book at a time. "The Plumb siblings - Jack, Leo, Bea, and Melody have long counted on their inheritance, known to them as The Nest. They don't get it until Melody, the youngest, turns 40. Before they can get their payout, Leo has a car accident with a caterer. Mom takes most of the money to keep the girl's family quiet. Now the other siblings want to know what Jack is going to do to pay them back." Not a big fan of this book. Hard to find a likable character. Is it really this tough to live in NYC? This book does show the danger if counting on something that's not a sure thing. And how not to build your lifestyle choices around it. I couldn't bear to throw out the tulips in my apartment. Not with the weather being so cold outside. But they were slowly dying so I gave them a second life by taking some of the tulip heads and laying them in some water in a glass teapot. It's suddenly gotten super cold after all the nice weather we had about 2 weeks ago. But clocks go forward tomorrow which means more light in the evening, meaning more sunlight to take photos haha. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday! I'm having a super healthy breakfast of plain yogurt, homemade granola (oats, dates, and coconut) with pumpkin seeds and strawberries. Also drinking some Lavender Rose Black tea from @spicesandtease. Its based in New York City. I picked up some tea when I visited almost 2 years ago now. Its so good! I highly recommend you stop by their stall if you are ever in the city. And I'm trying to finish The Nest. I was finishing up my other book so I had to put The Nest to the side.
