So I like Just Dance

I don't normally make other content but @wainmfis decided to bring this up and give me an excuse to talk about this so thank you :)

Jack Rose with his own Eras Tour, along with many-a-headcanons for Jack and Wanderlust (Wanderrose tee hee) and the aftermath of JD2024

Buckle up, y'all, this is a long ride. I put this post into a word counter and it's almost 3,000 words. So, if you just want The Era's Tour stuff, I marked it in italic, bold, red, ALL CAP LETTERS

Alright, so, I'll get my Jack headcanons first

He started making music when he was fifteen and was allowed to release albums (With songs only approved by Night Swan on the album) when he was sixteen. He was allowed to choose his own genres though, as long as she fully wrote some of the songs.

His debut Album was Self Titled (So it was called Jack Rose)

annnd this is where that most of my inspiration on Jack comes from Taylor Swift and I have zero shame.

So all of his albums are mostly the same as hers, titles, songs, etc. (Except for 1989... how old is Jack right now? 28?? Lets say 28, it would be titled 1996)

However... there is one extra album, that happened between Speak Now and Red.

When he was around seventeen, that's when he finally used his slightly later curfew, when he was allowed to be wandering in Eternyx until eleven o'clock at night, which was insane for him because he used to only be out until nine-thirty at the latest.

He would wander around the streets for hours, running back to Swan Tower when he had about an hour and a half left.

Until the day that he found an abandoned bar turned hidden rap club in the small part of the city that Night Swan didn't go around often.

He had wanted to try putting out rap for a while, but Swan never allowed him, she said he wasn't good at it, it wasn't good music and it wouldn't do well under his name.

He would watch and listen from the outside, scurrying back home just in time for his curfew.

Until the night he decided to go in there. He had paid the servants (Hehe, serve) to not tell Night Swan he was out past curfew, and he went out to the little club in the city.

He would hide in the corner, in a hoodie to hide his face and in the dark. No one could now that he was there.

People came up to talk to him, eventually realizing who he was and quickly swearing that no one would tell a soul. That was the first time he really told anyone about his mothers ways.

They all welcomed him with open arms, and he had real friends for the first time in his life.

He would sneak back into his room through his unlocked window, the servants would fake pictures of him being in his room, either at his desk writing or in his bed on his laptop or asleep.

He eventually started fully making his raps, rather then just keeping them on paper, and he starting singing them at his little club, much to everyone's joy.

To his mother's horror.

He was under an alias (Not sure what to call him yet), and she made him not only drop it, but scaled back his curfew again and made him cancel plans to tour for months.

But she "punished" him by making him release an album full of his raps. That made him so happy, and it ended up becoming his favorite album, cover and all.

Lose Yourself. (So this is where Eminem inspiration comes in, plus NF)

When he got to tour for that album at the age of twenty, dressing how he wanted to dress, he saw his friends from the club, screaming in support. it ended up being his most successful tour before 1996's Danceverse Tour, where he finally got to leave Eternyx for the first time. That was when he was twenty-four. Even then, his mother still made him perform songs that she wrote for him. (Locked out of Heaven and Treasure for 1996)

That was the last album before the events of JD 2023. After that, it got out what Swan Army was doing, and while he wasn't blamed for what happened, he was partially questioned if he had any part in what she did to coaches.

After that, he fully detached himself from her, left nearly everything to his name in Eternyx and started a new life in Dancecity. He had an apartment and everything, he wrote songs but hadn't put out an album. Night Swan was still around, so he was scared about putting out the music that he was writing. He figured he could just get it out of his system and then write the things he'd normally write and put that out.

He got to keep in touch with his new friends, went to explore Danceverse's with all of them and was finally able to let loose- even managed to get back in touch with his old rapping friends.

But... Wanderlust was the one that was around the most, always coming around at some point, even if they just walked through the city together, running across the rooftops, or went to another Danceverse, or something, but Wander was determined to be around him. Maybe to prove a point to his father.

But months went by, writing songs together and going to Scarlet's Palace together...

Until Jack asked him on a date. And he said yes. And they kissed. They started dating about three months after the whole battle in Eternyx.

(Also saying this now, I always thought Jack was the taller one until realizing that Wander was... so I'm just gonna throw canon out the window, Jack is taller now, fight me-)

They kept it hidden, fully hidden, from Wander's parents and their friends, and any media attention.

Then... Well the thing happened.

My explanation for Jack being in Swan tower is that he 1. wanted to try and get some of his things while he knew Night Swan wasn't around, and 2. try and free some of the poor servants. He couldn't hear Wanderlust calling out to him.

So now he has to go on an adventure to free his friends and his lover.

Now... how do I go about describing Jack's powers/magic? Said powers were lying dormant after Swan tried to take it from him when he was young, but she did it wrong, and he still has them, and managed to re-awaken them. Not sure what song he would be dancing to for it, (kinda leaning towards Hope by NF, with the right imagery and maybe a few lyric changes it'd be perfect. Like imagine Jack having a battle with Mirror Jack?? Hell yeah!) but it would be right after Tainted Love when he watched the ship leaving.

So... said powers include, the same thing that Swan did with the water in the pond in the tower, visions, but also memories. Also with that, kind of what Mihaly did with the signal they sent Jack. Another thing is swan wings (Lets be honest Night Swan just jumping to the top of the top of the ship looked a little... weird. So now Jack can look cool while doing it) another thing with water!... I guess you could call it water manipulation? He's able to control waves, and storms to an extent.

I could go on about the adventure he went on, but that's for another time (maybe)

Long story short, Eternyx was collapsed, Jack found out the truth about why his brother (Yes, Cygnus) left, and why his father was never around (Vester), Wanderlust was drug out of Eternyx by The Traveler, screaming for Jack, Brezz and Mihaly ran out of there through a portal Jack made for them before he went to leave a parting shot to Night Swan. Si'ha took him out of there before it collapsed, took him to her palace and tried to help him as much as she could.

Wanderlust had a fight with The Traveler in the SpaceTime Hotel, was essentially disowned by him, and Wander went back to Eternyx to try and find Jack, shit happened, he found a crown that Jack had made for him, found out he was alive but he didn't know where he was, and left to Dancecity.

Like a month goes by, people realize what happened, and Jack is blamed for his friends being in danger (He also blamed himself) and a lot of shit Night Swan did, and Wander is trying to both find him and defend Jack, to no avail.

So Wander, of course, tries to go to Jack's apartment, to their favorite places, to other Danceverse's, to no luck.

Discoball is actually the one to find Jack at Si'ha's palace, and they go to him, show him just how bad Wanderlust was doing while searching for him. Jack immediately goes to find Wanderlust, and he does, taking him back to the palace, where Si'ha was waiting for them to get back so Wander could tell her exactly what his father did.

Anyway, time passes, Jack is still being hounded by media and everyone else other then his friends.

So... Yes, this leads to Reputation and his first tour in four years. No one knows that he and Wanderlust are dating still, have no clue who the person he's singing about in some of the songs are.

While still hounded during it, he managed to actually get the proof of him not being involved in Night Swan's schemes, which finally put a stop to some of the massive hate he was getting. He also got his first proper award from it, that he got to keep instead of Night Swan taking it from him.

A year later, when he finally feels safe to go out, he's seen with Wanderlust a little too much, leading to rumors and eventually, them saying that, yes, they'd been dating for about three years.

That's when Lover came out.

I could go on about headcanons for award shows, but not today.

He just never went on tour for Lover, and his albums went on, and there was something going on in the Danceverse's that stopped everything (Basically the equivalent of the pandemic) So by that point, Jack and Wanderlust had their own home, and they were stuck there. (Their social medias were unhinged during this time) So both of them were writing a lot of songs, leading to the first album of that year, Folklore. He and Wanderlust wrote it together, which was special to him.

But because of how insane they both were going, Jack kept making more music and put out a second album, Evermore, while Wanderlust actually made his own EP with music that he wrote about his dad and about Sara (I may elaborate about it another time)

So, now, lockdowns are lifting, and people are going on tour again but Jack didn't because he now had three albums that he would tour for...

So then two years later, Midnight's comes out, and the next year, he announces his tour.

The Jack Rose Era's Tour.

This is where I mention that... Jack re-recorded his albums, so there's "Jack's Version" Albums. When Eternyx collapsed, so did everything in it, which meant the record label he was under (Night Swan's, which meant she also had the royalty rights to his songs because she's an absolute bitch) was also gone, which meant his old albums existed, but weren't under his name. This is where he got to do all the vault tracks and even some of Wanderlust's music that he never put out.

THIS IS WHERE THE ACTUAL ERA'S TOUR HEADCANONS START HOLY SHIT I DIDN'T MEAN TO RANT THAT MUCH

So!

Let's start with the outfits.

Most of the bodysuits are the mostly same as the real Era's Tour, but I can't really see him wearing heels, at least not the type that Taylor wears, but I can see him in wedged shoes, not full heels but something. As for the dresses, those are replaced with suits and/or jumpsuits (Maybe he could pull off a dress... maybe)

As for songs/lyrics, some have been changed for the sake of context

For the Lover setlist, I'm replacing Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince with I Forgot That You Existed (If I can figure out good lyric changes to make it fit, that might change) and The Man with ME!

Fearless setlist is the same, though. (I love Love Story too much, I want to change lyrics/context for it, but if I can't, I'll replace it with something but not sure what yet) He also has something similar to the Junior Jewels shirt for You Belong With Me because it's so cute, and he has variations in the main outfits.

Evermore setlist is the same (MAN do I have headcanons about Champagne Problems, I'm putting Jack through the ringer. And for Marjorie, Oh this poor man.) However, while looking into it, some things said that Evermore's set had 'Tis The Damn Season, while others said it was No body, no crime? so for now, it's No body, no crime. The outfit is a flowy and long Jumpsuit, same color as the dress, and he gets the cape for Willow. (I might make drawings of all the outfits at some point, but don't expect them to be flawless designs because this guy seems hard to draw for some reason)

Reputation is the same, so is the outfit, BUT! This is where Wanderlust comes on stage with him too, singing all the songs with him, plus songs from his EP that fit (A lot of the songs on that EP were written around the time Reputation was written). Wander is wearing the mirror image of the outfit, the asymmetrical sleeve and pant leg on the opposite side. Wander sings the second verse and chorus of every song, except his own, which he sings most of them completely on his own.

Speak now is the same, with the dress(es) replaced with a full suit (That would match the dresses, so there would be one with flowers at the end of the sleeves and the pant legs, a purple one that matches the ballgown, etc.) And Wander is back! Similarly in a suit that would match Jack's, and he sang Enchanted with him, first verse and the bridge.

The extra era, Lose Yourself! His outfit here is basically the outfit from the actual Lose Yourself beta map. Songs would be Not Afraid, (Em, but this one may change) Hope, (NF) 'Till I Collapse, (Em) and of course, Lose Yourself with a slight outfit change. Wanderlust isn't here for this one

Red set is the same, and the outfit, shirts, 22 hat and the coat for All Too Well. No Wanderlust here :(

Folklore set is the same, dress replaced with a long jumpsuit with a vest, plus a bit of a cape (there's been multiple dresses for Folklore, right? I feel like there has been. So there'd be multiple suits) Wanderlust is on stage for Cardigan, singing the first verse and chorus, part of the bridge and the last chorus with Jack. He's in a similar suit to Jack's, just more of sleeves.

1996 set! songs are the same, but the outfit(s), while still a two piece, the skirt is more like shorts. Wanderlust is there for Shake It Off because it's cute. He sings part of each chorus with Jack, plus most of the background vocals and part of the second verse.

Surprise song set, most of the time it's both he and Wanderlust on stage, both in similar full suits, just different colors.

Midnights set, all the shirts, coats and body suits are the same, so are the songs. Lavender Haze and Anti-Hero are performed with Wanderlust. Wander does the first verse and chorus for Anti-Hero, and the second verse, chorus and bridge for Lavender Haze.

The Tour itself goes one for nearly two years, with breaks occasionally. Of course, Brezz and Mihaly are always in VIP seats in stadiums with Wanderlust's parents (It's a little awkward for The Traveler, which Wanderlust kinda enjoys knowing. Has he forgiven him? In the process of it. Not something to elaborate on now)

Jack and Wander are only slightly unhinged on stage together, more during the surprise songs when they normally just talk a little bit and have fun.

The Era's Tour chants are also here, because I love them (so Fearless Heart Hands, 123 Lets Go Bitch, Jack you'll be fine/ Wander you'll be fine, etc.)

But whenever Wanderlust and Jack are seen in public together on breaks, it's normally on a rooftop together on a "date" (COUNTLESS pictures of them just eating together on a rooftop in Dancecity, or writing songs together) Or in Sun Horizon, or in a mall, or a restaurant, Scarlets, just having fun together. Seriously, if their seen somewhere public, there will be multiple times where they are laughing their asses off over the smallest things

There is a new album, but I don't think it's going to be The Tortured Poets Department, since it's not even out as of this post, but maybe another rap album?

Buuuut... the end of the tour?

The very last show, there was an extra segment at the end of the show, after Midnights was over and they were supposed to just go backstage, instead, Jack added like an extra ten minutes to the end... to propose to Wanderlust.

Which he, of course, said yes.

And that concluded The Jack Rose Era's Tour.

I'm honestly not sure if I will do more Just Dance content, at least not consistently. I will probably not make a full out fic, unless people really want it. This was fun to do, I want to do more, I just don't know when I will.

Just Dance Story Character Headcanons

Wanted to share my headcanons on The Just Dancers and Night Swan, so here they are.

Wanderlust:

Wanderlust & Jack Rose became friends after JD23, but could only hang out in secret due to Night Swan

Wanderlust has obvious feelings for Sara, so Jack tries to get him to confess to her

Unfortunately, neither Wanderlust nor Si'ha Nova know about The Traveler's prior relationship with Night Swan

Is actually the oldest of the group, but his goofiness makes him seem younger than he actually is

Night Wanderlust views Night Swan as his mother

Night Wanderlust follows every order that is given by Night Sara with no hesitation

Sara

Sara is the youngest of the Just Dancers by a year

Sara still keeps in touch with the Just Dancers through the Just Dance Controller app when she is not able to go into the Danceverses

Sara has obvious feelings for Wanderlust, so Brezziana tries to get her to confess to him

Night Sara is the leader of the Night Just Dancers, and is the only one to get her orders directly from Night Swan

Brezziana

Delvin is the self-proclaimed "Brezziana's #1 Fan", even though she is nowhere near the top 10

Brezziana is partially deaf in her right ear, which requires her to use a hearing aid, although she does know how to sign

Between the events of JD23 and JD24, Brezziana was in an abusive relationship, which she was able to get out of it with the help of Mihaly, and they have grown closer because of it

Gabriella is Brezziana's sister, and they have introduced their new friends to each other

Night Brezziana HATES Night Sara, as she thinks that Night Sara is too arrogant

Mihaly

The Temple of Master Panda is for Mihaly almost like Limbo is for Magik (Marvel fans, specifically X-Men fans, will understand the reference)

Mihaly has autism, so they are more susceptible to overstimulation and social anxiety (hence the earbuds), and they tend to stim when they are excited

Mihaly had feelings for Sara in the past, but has since suppressed those feelings after they found out about her and Wanderlust's feelings for each other

Whenever they are harnessing The Flow, their skin will sometimes turn light blue

Mihaly is very sweet and calm, that is until you make them angry (especially when their friends (especially Brezziana) are in danger)

Mihaly and Brezziana are around the same age, but Mihaly is the older of the two

Due to harnessing The Flow, Mihaly is an empath and they can also read other people's souls, which is how they were able to help Brezziana through her abusive relationship

Brezziana was the only person that knew about Mihaly's panda form up until Night Swan infiltrated their mind

Night Mihaly has a lot of rage due to their weakened corruption, so they tend to throw things, as well as scream and punch the walls in their room

Jack Rose

Cygnus is Jack's father

Jack is the second-oldest of the group, only being younger than Wanderlust

Layl is actually Jack's half-sister, but neither of them know it yet

Jack was angry at his mother for thinking that he was a narcissist, as he knows that was not who he actually was

When Jack found out that Night Swan had corrupted his friends, he went into a state of depression for a time since he felt that his true family was taken away from him

Night Swan

Night Swan still has feelings for The Traveler, but The Dark Flow has since suppressed those feelings

Night Swan knew about Brezziana's abusive relationship and her bond with Mihaly, which Night Swan uses to punish Night Brezziana for not following Night Sara's orders

Night Swan knows that Night Mihaly is trying to fight off the corruption, so she isolates them from the rest of the Night Just Dancers in hopes of either A. Mihaly will eventually break free, but won't get to the other Just Dancers before they are captured again and subjected to a stronger corruption, or B. Mihaly will run out of energy and will eventually succumb to the corruption

Since I had a bit of an appreciation for the stars, I found the great summer triangle and told they about it.

The Summer Triangle is an astronomical asterism in the northern celestial hemisphere. The defining vertices of this imaginary triangle are at Altair, Deneb, and Vega, each of which is the brightest star of its constellation (Aquila, Cygnus, and Lyra, respectively). 

ACT1 Deneb

I was sure you didn't, but you seemed to really like Vega. I wanted to support you, if that was what made you happy.

Your name is Altair. May you not forget me for the next hundred years.

I wonder how you are doing, Altair, Vega.

Orihime (織姫, "Weaving Princess"), daughter of the Tentei (天帝, "Sky King", or the universe itself), wove beautiful clothes by the bank of the Amanogawa (天の川, "Milky Way", literally "heavenly river"). Her father loved the cloth that she wove and so she worked very hard every day to weave it. However, Orihime was sad that because of her hard work she could never meet and fall in love with anyone.

It celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively). 

The first time they tried to meet, however, they found that they could not cross the river because there was no bridge. Orihime cried so much that a flock of magpies came and promised to make a bridge with their wings so that she could cross the river. It is said that if it rains on Tanabata, the magpies cannot come because of the rise of the river and the two lovers must wait until another year to meet. The rain of this day is called "The tears of Orihime and Hikoboshi".

It was raining all the time. Hey, why did you hold an umbrella for me then? ”Hey, let's meet for the first time in a while.” I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. You came all the way in the rain to see me when I was depressed. I heard that you and Vega had met on the river.

Tsuduri liked Altair and Altair liked Vega. Tsuduri wanted to be the "Orihime". She couldn't "meet" Altair (it was raining) while Vega was able to and confirmed herself to be the "Orihime".

Altair and Vega are brighter than Deneb on the sky, Vega being the 5th, Altair being the 12th, and Deneb being the 19th

Tsuduri: I would like to fulfill my purpose. Maybe travel. To find my own special something… I was so close to finding it, but it got in the way.

Hey, the moon is beautiful. [x] Why does "The Moon is beautiful" (Tsuki ga kirei desu ne) mean "I love you" in Japanese? Famous Japanese writer Sohseki Natsumé (1867〜1916) was a high school teacher in his early years. The story goes he taught his students that Japanese men shouldn't say "I love you." "The moon is beautiful" is enough. But there's no source about this story. So this is an anecdote someone made up.

Q.9 Do you have a favorite story? The legend of Tanabata, it's so romantic. I also like Soseki Natsume's novels.

It was tough at the time. He suddenly confessed his feelings for me. It wasn't like that, so I turned it down. Why didn't Vega tell me that right away? Why didn't you tell me we were meeting in the first place?

When Vega confessed to him, they started dating but he lied to Tsuduri that he rejected her?

If only I could be the swan.

Q.2 Favorite animal? swan

Cygnus is a northern constellation on the plane of the Milky Way, deriving its name from the Latinized Greek word for swan

Not sure if the motif of a swan is a particular reference to anything, but I have to say that swans are known to have one life-time partner

It is interesting that Tsuduri views "constellation" as something more likeable than a single star, like maybe it's more "whole"?

Sitting at the fountain, I blurted out, Do you like the constellation Lyra? I asked. I was sure you didn't, but you seemed to really like Vega. If only I could be the swan.

I am now about to break my own heart and splash its blood on your face. I will be satisfied if, when my heart stops beating, a new life can be born in your breast.

Tsuduri: Immortality The last trump card that will forever be burned into your memory May you not forget me for the next hundred years.

I think that Tsuduri wanted to commit suicide as the last way to become "special", to traumatize Altair and Vega into remembering her forever.

But something has stopped her? Alternatively she might mean that she committed suicide but she's currently a different person and doesn't hold those feelings towards Altair and Vega anymore

I had hoped so, but before my journey could end the way I wanted it to, the work that is me was erased by something else.

Tsuduri: Well, still, I think it's worth telling. Hey, Ai. Well, maybe not exactly Ai, but…maybe my crime didn't hurt or cause anyone to suffer in the normal sense of the word. At least, as far as I know, it didn't happen. Ai: Wait, wait? So you're saying you really didn't do anything?

She could have jumped off a rooftop or out of the window of a tall building, but I have to say her crime scene looks as if she's in the sky, like her soul is watching from above

70. They don't have any unlistenable albums. I can put on any Rush album and at the very least enjoy it, which is saying a lot!

69. ANDDDD they have 19 studio albums!!! 167 songs!!!

68. Alex's iconic Hall of Fame induction speech.

67. The movie I Love You, Man. The main plot of that is just two guys geeking out about Rush and then going to see them in concert.

66. The Bb5 in "Cygnus X-1 Book 1: The Voyage". For the record, the other famous Bb5 sung by a male singer in rock is the high note in "Bohemian Rhapsody", sung by Roger Taylor.

65. Geddy's range in general. Say what you will about his voice, but he had range.

64. Their pre-concert videos.

63. "Hey baby it's 7:45 and I need to go to bed soon, let's fuck"- In the Mood. The debut album was something else, man.

62. They wrote songs during soundcheck when they were on tour. This includes songs like "Tom Sawyer" and "Chemistry".

61. They went to a Yes concert while recording Caress of Steel, and almost quit making the album. I, for one, am very glad they didn't!

60. The "rap" in "Roll the Bones". Sit back, relax, get busy with the facts...

59. Gene Simmons thought they weren't into women because they didn't want to party with KISS. True story!

58. They listed their baseball positions in the liner notes for Signals.

57. Neil wrote lyrics to a song using only anagrams. The song is called "Anagram (For Mongo)", and is on the album Presto.

56. They thanked themselves in the liner notes for Hemispheres. Listed as Dirk, Lerxst, and Pratt, ofc!

55. They would challenge themselves to write last-minute songs. Results of this experiment include "Hand Over Fist" from Presto, and "Malignant Narcissism" from Snakes and Arrows.

NASA’s swift studies gas-churning monster black holes

Scientists using observations from NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory have discovered, for the first time, the signal from a pair of monster black holes disrupting a cloud of gas in the center of a galaxy.

“It’s a very weird event, called AT 2021hdr, that keeps recurring every few months,” said Lorena Hernández-García, an astrophysicist at the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics, the Millennium Nucleus on Transversal Research and Technology to Explore Supermassive Black Holes, and University of Valparaíso in Chile. “We think that a gas cloud engulfed the black holes. As they orbit each other, the black holes interact with the cloud, perturbing and consuming its gas. This produces an oscillating pattern in the light from the system.”  

A paper about AT 2021hdr, led by Hernández-García, was published Nov. 13 in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The dual black holes are in the center of a galaxy called 2MASX J21240027+3409114, located 1 billion light-years away in the northern constellation Cygnus. The pair are about 16 billion miles (26 billion kilometers) apart, close enough that light only takes a day to travel between them. Together they contain 40 million times the Sun’s mass.

Scientists estimate the black holes complete an orbit every 130 days and will collide and merge in approximately 70,000 years.

AT 2021hdr was first spotted in March 2021 by the Caltech-led ZTF (Zwicky Transient Facility) at the Palomar Observatory in California. It was flagged as a potentially interesting source by ALeRCE (Automatic Learning for the Rapid Classification of Events). This multidisciplinary team combines artificial intelligence tools with human expertise to report events in the night sky to the astronomical community using the mountains of data collected by survey programs like ZTF.

“Although this flare was originally thought to be a supernova, outbursts in 2022 made us think of other explanations,” said co-author Alejandra Muñoz-Arancibia, an ALeRCE team member and astrophysicist at the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics and the Center for Mathematical Modeling at the University of Chile. “Each subsequent event has helped us refine our model of what’s going on in the system.”

Since the first flare, ZTF has detected outbursts from AT 2021hdr every 60 to 90 days.    

Hernández-García and her team have been observing the source with Swift since November 2022. Swift helped them determine that the binary produces oscillations in ultraviolet and X-ray light on the same time scales as ZTF sees them in the visible range.

The researchers conducted a Goldilocks-type elimination of different models to explain what they saw in the data.

Initially, they thought the signal could be the byproduct of normal activity in the galactic center. Then they considered whether a tidal disruption event — the destruction of a star that wandered too close to one of the black holes ��� could be the cause.

Finally, they settled on another possibility, the tidal disruption of a gas cloud, one that was bigger than the binary itself. When the cloud encountered the black holes, gravity ripped it apart, forming filaments around the pair, and friction started to heat it. The gas got particularly dense and hot close to the black holes. As the binary orbits, the complex interplay of forces ejects some of the gas from the system on each rotation. These interactions produce the fluctuating light Swift and ZTF observe.

Hernández-García and her team plan to continue observations of AT 2021hdr to better understand the system and improve their models. They’re also interested in studying its home galaxy, which is currently merging with another one nearby — an event first reported in their paper.

“As Swift approaches its 20th anniversary, it’s incredible to see all the new science it’s still helping the community accomplish,” said S. Bradley Cenko, Swift’s principal investigator at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. “There’s still so much it has left to teach us about our ever-changing cosmos.”

NASA’s missions are part of a growing, worldwide network watching for changes in the sky to solve mysteries of how the universe works.

Goddard manages the Swift mission in collaboration with Penn State, the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, and Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Dulles, Virginia. Other partners include the University of Leicester and Mullard Space Science Laboratory in the United Kingdom, Brera Observatory in Italy, and the Italian Space Agency.

Okay so, in the heat of me finding out that Jack and Wander are *possibly* *Likely* Brothers, I made a post that upset people. I want to apologize to the WanderLust shippers. It's just I've had a theory for a while that these two were related (Possibly Cygnus being Jack's older brother) and as a Bisexual I'm happy for gay ships! RedOctoberfest ( Heavy X Medic from TF2) is one of my favorite!!

I was really hoping for there to be some familial drama in this game.

I mean who decided that the Traveler was a decent fellow? I mean sure, Leda lost her marbles to the thought of having Magical Power and took baby Jack with her. Obviously the Traveler isn't going to tell Si'ha Nova or Wanderlust shit about having slept with Nightswan so Wander wouldn't know that he *possibly* has a half brother. But Nightswan would know, again she's not going to tell Jack, anything so both boys are in the dark about the familial turmoil. But nothing has officially come out of the Just Dance Team/ Lore Guardian. Me, I'm honestly hoping they are related.

The Traveler might actualy be Jack's dad (or Cygnus's dad??????)

I decided to make a post because this has been in my head for a day and a half. So with "Murder on the Dancefloor'' being released and people being scared for WanderRose (Wanderlust x Jack Rose), I started to ponder if Jack really could be Traveler's son, and I REALLY think it is possible after realizing some implications in maps. The first implication is cloning, how? Well, I think Jack can make clones of himself based on the map "Treasure"( also/maybe "Locked out of Heaven" because of the mirrors {not all of the mirrors would have seen Jack so it might be clones in the mirror but it also might just be his imagination that there are mirrors there as well} "Canned Heat" may also be a possibility because of the mirrors we see, not all of them would see Jack, it could also be just a stylistic choice{We have to question everything because we aren't given all the lore}). We know this map is an illusion but why would she make up his ability to use magic/flow? When it gets to the part where they are on the big stage the clones behave and look differently, the clones no longer look like an illusion (mirror/smoke effect), and the 4 clones all act differently from one another which makes me think that this is something that he also can do, he appears to have a magic staff (Normal Jack Rose also has this) or he uses his flow to make the staff appear and disappear. Who else can make clones? The Traveler and Si'ha Nova. Night Swan has never shown the ability to make clones only illusions with her magic, so if he does have the ability to clone who did he get this from? It had to be from a Deity/Sorcerer who knows how to use flow so well that they can clone and Jack inherited or was taught it by them before Leda took him and left. Not even Wanderlust who is the son of Traveler and Si'ha, has the ability (from what we've been shown) and he's the prince of dancerverse, a deity.

I know a lot of people don't think the Traveler can be Jack's dad because they look nothing alike however Jack doesn't look anything like his mom either other than hair color (I used a color finder for Jack's hair color and it appears to be Rosso Corsa which can be made with Magenta (Leda's hair color) and Cerulean Blue (The Traveler's hair color which is a cyan and cyan helps make red) (other colors are used also to make red) Not only that, if anything I think he has more in common (outfit colors) with the Traveler, he has purple, and gold accents in his outfit which tie in with the Traveler meanwhile Jack has magenta feathers which tie in with young Leda not Night Swan. In all other instances, Jack has a gold glove on his main hand, in treasure his main glove hand is now purple and his other hand is gold (Night Swan changed some of his colors and reversed his outfit so he looked like her instead of him). What do the Traveler, Wanderlust, and Jack have in common? They all have a gold glove on their main hand, Si'ha Nova does have gold on her main glove but the glove is mostly purple. This is a link (in the main story) between the three, all the signs were there the whole time. When it came to the hand part in the map "Majesty" Jack probably was the only one who could save Wanderlust since they share the same ancient flow magic (also because they could be related).

Wanderlust also doesn't really look like his parents either (he has black hair), the only thing he has in common (other than outfit colors) is the fact that he has blue skin. So the argument that Traveler can't be Jack's dad because of hair color isn't really valid. I also saw people say that it can't be possible that Traveler is Jack's dad because when they touched hands there was no magic flare like when Traveler and Si'Ha did. Well, I have a counter against that, Leda and Wanderlust didn't have a magic/flow flare because Leda didn't have magic/flow at that moment she only got magic from him a couple seconds afterward, They probably would have had a magic flare If they did the holding hands gesture after she got powers, which they could do the magic baby thing too actually, like how Wanderlust came to be. Overall I think it is VERY likely that they are brothers. It makes sense storyline-wise because it seems like even though they just met each other it looks like there's already a connection between them.

Also it explains why Jack is resistant to his mother in ways that the others cannot, he's half-human but also part not human (humans are resilient to flow, it took longer for Sara to get captured) he isn't like the others which is why she didn't try to turn him she has to coerce him, (Jack may also be part deity? I can't remember if Traveler was just a protector of dancerverse). It makes sense that Leda and Traveler would start a relationship because of the map "Save your tears” the lyrics are giving relationship/toxic relationship struggles, Traveler and Si'ha want to be together but at the same time don't, they push and pull each other. So Leda and Traveler may have had a magic baby together during the time when Si'ha and Traveler were on and off again, {before syt remix maybe} (the timeline is a little messed up because in Motdf he is obviously younger but has disco ball but he made that for Wanderlust, unless every dancerverse protector has a disco ball in which case he might have met Leda before Si’Ha). Before Night Swan had been consumed by the feelings of needing to be perfect and taking Jack Rose with her to Eternyx and changing her name to Night Swan.

I may update this with more information if I realize/missed something I want to talk about. And I will probably answer any questions that are given. Also Just Dance Team did you really have to do the ship that dirty? XD

Okay, now that I'm not on my essay account, I have some Cringey Middle School shenanigans to admit to you guys. The majority of these have to do with Rush, but there are a fair few that don't:

Remember the 2112 All Star parody that was submitted to prog-rock-confessions? That was me, I'm sorry. I also did an All Star parody about the periodic table for my science class. The opening lyrics were "My science teacher told me / the world is made of atoms".

I drew Shrek x Hamilton nsfw fanart to piss off my friends that were into Hamilton at the time. I also did this IN MY ART CLASS.

I used my art class in general to draw Rush fanart. I would find a way to bend the rules of almost every assignment to let me do that, like I did a comic strip of Cygnus X-1 that was really cool. I have no idea where it is now.

I wrote a 3 1/2 page essay to my 7th grade English teacher convincing her to let me use a class period to make my English class listen to 2112 and connect it to the book we were reading. Looking back, it was doubly cringey and also incredibly insensitive because that book was Malala Yousafzai's autobiography, I Am Malala. I made the incredible observation that the Taliban were just like the Priests of Syrinx because they banned music. I was a fucking moron. My teacher actually agreed to let me present, and I ended up roping my friend into it, and we spend the entire class period listening to and going over 2112. I had a whole presentation. This was completely unprompted, by the way.

I went as Freddie Mercury to my school's Halloween dance in 7th grade. The next year, I roped my gf at the time and my best friend into a group costume... and to no one's surprise, we went as Rush. I gave my bestie a pair of these gimmick pencil drumsticks, and we taped on a mustache, and my gf had an inflatable guitar... and yours truly carried her actual bass around with a pair of fake glasses and a wig from Party City. I look back at least once a week in horror.

Wrote a South Park fan script that was meant to be a trilogy. If that wasn't cringey enough, it involved traveling back in time and Queen. I also showed this to my friends at School of Rock when I went there.

When my school did an event called Teach the Teacher, which excused kids from their classes for a couple periods in order to give seminars on usually their talents or stuff... I used this to give a seminar on the history of progressive rock. Of course. If I remember anything else from my cringey middle school experience, I will make sure to write it down because I am just scratching the surface of all the weird shit I did. If you want me to elaborate on anything, I will too.

🎶 XTC - No Thugs In Our House (it’s just fun. I also recommend their songs Senses Working Overtime and Jason and the Argonauts)

🎵 Renaissance - Ashes Burning (this song turns 50 this year!!! Such an underrated band. British. female singer. what more do you need? This song is over 11 minutes long, but unlike some prog, the singing starts basically right away, and it’s wonderful.)

🎼 Magellan - The Great Goodnight (my dad and i spent yesterday driving around listening to music and we put this one on for the 500th time. My dad and his brother found this in the 90s only because they were looking for new prog (which most would say was dead unless you were SEARCHING, and these two nerds were) and found this. This song is like, 50 minutes long, and it can be a little much, both with the obsessiveness that overtook the singer and the sheer length of it. Trent, the singer’s brother died in Vietnam (in May 1966), after he got shot. he would’ve been okay, but they couldn’t get to him to save him. the brother didn’t even get drafted, he volunteered to go. Trent’s parents didn’t tell him about it because they were so traumatized about the event. He just had a memory of playing on this guy’s shoulders but didn’t know who it was until he found a box in the attic and dug into it more and found out about his brother. 🎵 Rush - Cygnus X-1: Book 1, The Voyage (Since Rush is a major love of mine, and i fall asleep to this every night, Cygnus has to be on here. This song is basically about an astronaut that goes into a black hole called Cygnus X-1. Not that special story-wise, but wonderful music-wise, if you like crazy sci-fi shit, scary void-bass (trust me), and Geddy Lee. I just like how he says 🎶on my ship the Rocinante🎶. It’s cute and groovy. But things get spicy in *gasp* Cygnus X-1: Book 2, Hemispheres?!?! Yes! that’s right folks! Little did anyone know, this song would have a seamless sequel on the album appropriately named: Hemispheres! While I prefer book one, Hemispheres is fun if you’re a fan of Rush and their little triumvirate inserting themselves into their songs (three travelers from Willowdale, my friends) But book 2 is fun because basically, the astronaut lives, and he shows up in this society that is being battled over by Apollo (as the god of reason) and Dionysus (as the god of emotional party vibes) and the astronaut becomes ✨cygnus✨ the god of ✨balance✨ Neil Peart liked to show off how many books he read by making Geddy screech out his lyrics. anyway, we’re living in a time where we can look at ALL THIS music in retrospective! My favorite song can be Rave On by Buddy Holly and yet I can turn on the radio and listen to Taylor Swift or whatever! explore the world! find shit on youtube! spotify! People are selling records again! i have like a million records now! aaah!
