It inspires travellers to learn more about this dark chapter of history and celebrate the union.The Finnish part of the trail follows the Russian border along the westernmost part of Finland. It starts at a tiny village of Näätämö on the Norwegian-Finnish border and travels to the south in Virolahti, although you can begin at whatever point, which works the best for you. On the way, you can watch the town of Savonlinna, the Winter War Museum, Lake Saimaa, and many more hidden gems. There are also opportunities to spot reindeer, moose, wolverines, bears, and the rare Saimaa ringed seal.

Lake Myvatn, Iceland 

Lake Myvatn and the area around it is one of the most beautiful regions of Iceland, known for the steaming lava and hot springs, fissures and formations, flora and fauna and great liberality. Travellers usually regret when they have to leave, wanting to stay a few more days. The lake is one of the main highlights of the Diamond Circle, a popular biking route in the north of Iceland. Only one tiny town can be found in the Lake Mývatn area, named Reykjahlíð. Inis Mor Loop, Ireland
