What if...Deadlock was a cyber cat?

Its common to see the big white/Grey feline carrying around a Bitty Ravage by their scruff quickly followed by a angry Soundwave who said he didn't have permission to take his Bitty.

Ratchet often wakes up during the night crushed by Lock who is loudly purring to the point its vibrating the whole berth. Ratchet is quietly wondering if this is how he dies while trying to push the cat off him.

Hot Rod often finds half eaten Electro Rats and other vermin in front of his Habsuite door. He once found a severed Servo that looked suspiciously like his one of his awful Exes Servo's. (No, he didn't ask his Carrier or Grandsire if they did it)

Overall I see cyber cat drift as a huge lovable menace.

The broodmare Megatron still being intimating and fully prepared to throw down ask gave me an idea. Specifically for the tfa broodmare ship au.

A Carrier's instinct to protect their brood is a powerful urge, and despite the Autobot broodmares being, well, Autobot broodmares, they were still at one point trained to fight. Bumblebee and Bulkhead were in the Autobot boot camp, they were intended to join the elite guard so they must have trained accordingly. Despite Ratchet being an old mech now and a Medic to boot, he was still on the battlefield and can whoop serious ass if need be. Prowl is a fucking cyber ninja for God's sake. And Optimus was the star student of the Autobot Academy, getting top marks in every class and even managed to get the title of Prime before he even graduated.

And Omega Supreme is, well, Omega Supreme.

If anyone were to enter their nests or bother their clutches/sparklings without permission, they wouldn't hesitate to start throwing hands regardless of their pregnancy status.

Bulkhead's a big mech, usually the mere presence of a massive pissed off carrier is enough to deter wannabe intruders. But if one were to try to bother him or his bitties, they would be in for a rather personal introduction to his wrecking ball fists.

Anyone who tries to mess with Prowl who's not one of his chosen studs or one of the other broodmares that make up his team is usually treated to a shuriken to the back and a foot to the face before getting kicked out.

Anyone who messes with Bee, well, they're in for quite the shock. Those stingers are no joke, he would practically electrocute them into a coma. He's also a fast little bugger so you wouldn't even see him coming before you suddenly feel the wrath of Zeus come down upon you for daring to mess with his clutches or whatever bitties he's babysitting.

Omega Supreme is a Titan. And a warship. It's just stupidity to try anything with him. Anyone who is stupid enough to mess with his hotspots will be treated to the full power of a Titan.

Ratchet, well, he usually has Deadlock to protect him and his bitties. If he's busy elsewhere, Ratchet usually just throws them out with his magnets. But if someone were to get past Deadlock, they'd have a pissed off Medic on their ass who knows the Cybertronian body inside and out and will use that knowledge against them. They'd probably still be online as Ratchet tears them apart piece by piece.

But if getting caught by Ratchet is torture, then being caught by Optimus, Megatron's personal broodmare, is a Death Sentence. He wouldn't stop at just throwing you out of his nest like the others, he would Hunt You Down. As the captain and leader of the Orion and his Autobots, his territory extends past his nest. This includes the other's nests (though even he wouldn't enter without prior permission), Omega Supreme (since aside from Ratchet, he's basically Omega's speaker), his hab-suite (it's actually Megatron's) and various other areas on the Nemesis he adopted.

So it doesn't even have to be his bittlets - or even anyone else he views under his protection - you disturbed, it could be any of his teammates and once they kick you out of their nests, you're at his mercy. Usually he just makes an example of them by scaring the pit out of them with a rather terrifying game of cat-and-mouse then beating the slag out of them to deter them from ever approaching his territory again. (The first time he does this, Megatron swears he falls in love just little more watching this half feral carrier verbally, mentally, and physically tear into the would-be intruder.) But if they were to hurt anyone on his team, any mech under his protection, or - Primus forbid - any of the sparklings, all bets are off, that just made this everyone's problem. That's a dead mech walking.

To be welcomed into the nest of a Carrier is like being on sacred ground and the Carrier is the Deity that rules it. Anyone - bittlet or not - willingly welcomed within the nest or even territory is the Carrier's responsibility to care for and nurture as much as the guest is to respect and abide by the Carrier's rules. (Which is why there's very few instances of in-fighting within Optimus' territory, he has little to no patience for such behavior.) If a Carrier feels threatened, usually a sire or other protective mech steps in to defend them. But if it's within their own nest/territory? They have no problems protecting themselves. A Carrier's duty is to protect their charges as much as it is to nurture them.

Unfortunately, the Autobots have no concept of this, which lands them in quite a bit of trouble. The first - and only - time Sentinel tries to get into Optimus' nest, he figures out real quick why Megatron likes him so much. He doesn't try to mess with Optimus again after that. (Though there is some part of him that is a little jealous of all the attention Optimus is getting.)

yessssss god, i’m a sucker for broodmares’ nests being a sacred place where no one can step outside of the boudnaries they themself set... It’s so hot to me. And the Decepticons take it very seriously. Now that they’re keeping broodmares on the ship, most of the decepticon infighting has been subdued or kept very passive, all for the sake of the growing bitties and because no one knows when Megatron’s beloved broodmamma will waddle in and overhear everything. And if he tells Megatron, then they’re goners...

oh lord, who even let Sentinel on the decepticon warship... Maybe they’re trying to seize Megatron’s ship and make a little rescue mission out of it, perhaps there’s a peace treaty in the making so the autobots and decepticons are playing nice (even though i doubt they’re willing to go through with it... the autobots are too prideful and the decepticons are already building an army, as can be seen by the broodmares they’ve collected) and Sentinel ends up straying into Optimus’ nest... Megatron’s very own berthroom.

Optimus has never looked angrier, not that Sentinel noticed. He kept trying to get Optimus to get up, putting his damn hands on him, thinking he’ll be a hero who rescued a fellow autobot who was demoted into the role of lowly decepticon birthing machine... Optimus ends up decking Sentinel in the face, something he’d wanted to do for a long time, but always chose not to, just to keep the peace.... But Sentinel tried to poke at the baby in his arms, without permission, and he couldn’t stand that.

Sentinel ends up being chased away all the way through the ship until Optimus decides that he’s far enough from his nest... Megatron is very proud (if they’re taking over the ship, then Optimus has captured an intruding autobot, if they’re playing civil, then he’s taught the autobots some manners, at least...)

Could we get part 2 of the Soundrod Royalty au?

Rodimus wasn't sure what Soundwave had planed all he knew was that he had some sort of plan to get the young prince away before his bonding day. As of right now Rodimus found himself lazily reading over one of the last books his carrier had left him before their passing, it wasn't anything grand just a old book full of fairy tales and legends of both Nyon and Cyberstron. However peace broke away when he suddenly heard someone break a window and enter the room. Rodimus quickly grabs a knife one that was gifted to him by Soundwave and snarled threats at the intruder. A grey and white speedster who was wearing a cloak slowly walked up to the prince with raised servos and a small smirk, Deadlock quickly apologized for his intrusion before knocking the young prince out cold.

Hours later Rodimus wakes up in an unfamiliar room and berth being awoken to the sound of purring. He nearly jumps out of his plating when he sees two red optics staring right at him belonging to a fairly large cyber-cat who is looking at the prince rather smugly. Rodimus quickly looks around the room simply looking for a way out only to stop when he hears the door opening, There lord of Kaon himself Megatron enters holding a small tray of energon. Megatron puts down the tray and begins to explain to the weary prince that it was Soundwave who asked for his help and that he was the one who sent Deadlock to 'kidnap' the young prince and bring him to Kaon. After talking Megatron asks Ravage to show their guest around the palace while he tends to his duties as well as send a letter to Soundwave.

Meanwhile the Lord of Nyon was in a fit of rage demanding that his best knights on the guard track down the bot who took his son and return the prince as soon as possible. The lord doesn't want to waste this possible alliance opportunity with the neighbouring kingdom that his son's bonding will bring. All the while Soundwave is smugly watching this all unfold before him simply enjoying the chaos all the while being thankful that Rodimus is far away from danger.

He nervously waited for Soundwave's rescue as each day passed and he got closer to his bonding. The idea terrified him and he grabbed his most precious possession. It was the last book his carrier ever gave him. Filled with fairy tales and legends from Nyon and other places on Cybertron. Reading through it he imagined his carrier was sitting next to him soothingly telling him that everything would be okay as they tucked him into bed.

He felt his optics grow heavy and he started to fall asleep when he was startled by a loud noise. He jumped sitting up in bed he pulled out a knife Soundwave had gifted him.

A mech jumped through the broken window and stared down at him with a cloak wrapped around his body hiding him from view.

"I'm not a threat."

The mech raised his hands to show he was unharmed.

"I was sent by Soundwave."

He lowered his knife watching the mech wearily as he came over with a smirk on his face.

"Sorry about breaking your window and about this."

Before he could ask what he was talking about the mech knocked him unconscious.

He shifted and groaned his head pounding slightly as he opened his optics. He gasped when he noticed the unfamiliar ceiling and sat up immediately drawing his knife.

Hearing loud purring he looked over startled to see a large cyber cat watching him. His red optics glowing in the dark.

Remembering what happened he scanned the small room looking for his kidnapper. He had no idea if he was telling the truth or not and he was worried if he wasn't. Because that would mean someone knows about their plan. He scanned the room trying to find a way out in case it was a trap.

Glancing at the smug cyber cat he doesn't say anything just turns towards the door right as it opens.

A large grey mech walks inside holding a tray with energon on it.

Holding the knife close he gave him a weary look and Megatron began explaining. He was the friend Soundwave was talking about and had sent Deadlock to "kidnap' him.

He stared at him in shock trying to process everything and was only snapped out of it when Megatron turned to the Cyber cat.

"Ravage, why don't you show our guest around."

He looked at the Cyber cat the name familiar. Soundwave had mentioned him a few times when he talked about his family.

"Nice to meet the one who's captured my bitties spark."

Ravage flicked his tail.

"Make sure you send a letter to Soundwave telling him it was a success."

"I will."

Megatron left having other duties to take care of. Ravage gestured for him to follow as he showed him around.

Soundwave watched as Hot Rods sire raged. The bastard deserved to have his plans ruined and he'd made sure he would never find his son again. Hot Rod was his after all.

He stayed behind grabbing some of Hot Rods belongings. Including one of his most prized possessions. He'd already made sure the guards wouldn't be able to track Hot Rod and was now watching the king rage.

"Bring me my creation immediately and kill the one responsible for his kidnapping!"

The king ordered his guards as he shouted with displeasure.

"I need my son otherwise the marriage contract will fall through and I will not have that other kingdom!"

He watched smugly from the shadows glad Hot Rod was away from him and decided to leave so he could see him again.

Happy Halloween from my techno-organic oc Roxie and the cyber-cat, Ravage. 🎃 Roxie celebrates the occassion as it is, also, her creation date. Her Sire Deadlock freed her on this day in the year 2234, as he had no idea when she was created originally. the witch dressup played a role for Roxie being a warlock in my original fan continuity and Ravage isn’t one of Soundwave’s cassette but acts more of a familiar to her.

An amused chuff escapes the former ‘Con as he stops. His arm comes to rest on his own thigh, servo dangling between the two as he watches Meme attempt to roll over in slow motion. The mech is stupidly pretty, and sometimes that stupidly is more literal than figurative.

He reaches into subspace with one free servo and pulls out a bag of spiced energon candies- dropping it onto Meme’s face.

“Yer a great big bloody cyber-cat, you know that?”

The bag of candies stays on his face for a second too long before he actually puts any effort into removing it. Claws easily pierce through it, grabbing two candies - one for Deadlock and one for himself.

“A cat, a goat, a grasshopper, a cryptid - what else is missing in the combination of things I behave as?”

He pops the candy in his mouth, letting it melt. “So if I am a cyber-cat, you’re going to be my little poor meow meow.”

Pets between the horns.

Were it not for his current state of mind, he would have turtled to get away from the pets.

But he is lazy, refuses to move and will only make a single mrp sound.

A silly TFP themed idea.

In that episode where Ratchet gets kidnapped by the cons and is forced to work for them. Now what would happen if you put Deadlock in there? You get a overly affectionate murder cyber cat following your captive everywhere.

Megatron is sick of Shockwave and Knock-Out complaining about Deadlock trying to smother Ratchet with love while also growling at them meaning no progress is made. So he orders some poor Cons to carry around some spray bottles and to spray Deadlock if he even looks at Ratchet.

Will it likely end up with a few Cons missing a few servos? Yes, Is it worth it for progress to finally perfect Snyth-En? Yes.

I have come offering some wholesome Deadlock and Decipticon Hot Rod!

Many Cons often confuse Lock as a cyber cat due to his temperament, He doesn't mind this unlike the other names he gets called sometimes. So when Hot Rod joins their ranks the white/Grey speedster pays little attention at first. That's until he notices some Cons harassing Hot Rod by trying to drag him into one of their hab while Roddy is clearly unconfutable and mere seconds away from lighting himself ablaze with his outlier ability. Deadlock is reminded of the poor Mechs and Femmes he saw in the Dead End who were in similar trouble before and something just snaps, He pounces on the Con who is grabbing Hot Rod's arm and snaps it in half while hissing at the others. Once they flee he checks Roddy over and then drags the smaller speedster to Megatron so he can report the harassment and hopefully get those Cons punished.

Hot Rod is very thankful and starts hanging out with Deadlock while also offering to help Lock out with anything as payment for his help. The pair become a deadly duo on the battle field and for the first time in a while Deadlock as a friend he can truly trust or maybe something more but that just wishful thinking.

Here me out

Hot rod goes wherever Deadlock goes and they become best friends but Hot rod is secretly in love with Deadlock but things happen where Deadlock leaves the cons and Hot rod goes too.

But they get shot at and Hot rod moves Deadlock and takes the shot and dies but becomes Rodimus when Megatron “accidentally,” allows an ancient fragment to touch Hot rod.

The two manage to escape with Deadlock carrying Rodimus and they leave for Crystal city.

Eventually Deadlock becomes Drift and has a thing with Wing but then Wing dies and they eventually join the wreckers becoming autobots.

Rodimus is still in love with Drift but he knows Drift doesn’t see him that way and he’s fine with that. He can deal with Drift being in love with Wing and having a thing with Perceptor that doesn’t go anywhere or his thing with Gasket.

He knows Drift is in love with Ratchet but its not until they’re on the lost light does it really start to hurt.

He can’t pull away because they’re amica and Drift will be hurt. He can’t hurt Drift but he can’t pretend in front of Ratchet that he isn’t in love. Pit, he falls for Ratchet too.

But they don’t see him like that.

So he can’t do anything.

He just..stays in the background pinning, enjoying time with them and getting an occasional frag when he needs it.

Its fine.

Till Megatron comes aboard and he’s all soft touches on his lower back and remembers his oil just the way he likes it. Bringing him snacks that are poorly made from scratch but he appreciates regardless.

So many little things that make him turn his helm towards the mech that always let him get away things he shouldn’t that he now couldn’t help but look forward to seeing outside his hab.

Maybe Drift and Ratchet notice Megs taking up more of Roddy’s time? Maybe Drift isn’t used to Roddy not being besides him?
