The only God Burt G has ever known is Kier, the only doctrine is the handbook- which he broke. By the circumstances of the world he lived in he is a capital 's' Sinner. He cannot beg forgiveness - from Kier or anyone else. He cannot atone. He was punished with non-existence for holding a man's hand and he is gone now. Is he judged by the doctrine of God or the doctrine of Kier? In either case, does he actually make the cut? Is his soul only released once his body dies or is he already in whatever afterlife Outie Burt hopes is waiting for him?

As you can tell I'm enjoying overkill au a lot. The story is just that interesting! And I'm trying to draw everyone from this au but so far I have only managed to finish this.

The idea behind this piece is like that: another trap that lead to Siffrin being tied up above a lava pit and they have to escape by resolving some kind of... quiz? To show that it's serious there's a hat swimming away... And Director is just making fun of him (per usual). Btw it used to be just an image but now it's a gif (video, actually)!

Claudia talking to Louis while he's having sex with Lestat is still making me insane. How to better represent the complete absence of appropriate boundaries in rue royale. We all laugh at claudia' "two blood fat cocks" comment in s2 but in s1 she was fully having a conversation about how to kill lestat while he was balls deep in Louis. It's just another example of how enmeshed she is in Louis' sexual life despite his efforts to fulfill his protective roll at first (he's righteously upset at Lestat for first crossing that line by bringing her to the cruising spot to hunt and therefore being directly responsible for her sexual awakening).

Claudia's accusatory "which one of you is gonna fuck me" is not just a provocation, it's a sobbering and factually true assessment of her situation. The only times she explores sexuality outside of Louis' relationships (first with Lestat then with Armand), she is severely punished (first emotionally by lestat for Charlie's death then lethally by armand and the coven for the making of Madeleine). In her inability to make a companion or to control herself with humans, she fully depends on Louis for either direct sexual connection (talking to him while he's having sex with lestat or witnessing his fantasies of armand) or for the making of a sexual companion that she can safely engage with sexually (we see that she fears her lack of control around Madeleine's menstruation).

Incestuous dynamics truly are a product of isolation and lack of oversight that plague the nuclear family especially when they are as marginalized as the rue royale (a mixed race vampiric queer family) and later on claudia and louis as a single unit (codependent trauma bonded parent/child duo).

I wonder if Eclipse knows the amount of danger he accidentally brought his kids in? Thats all Ive been thinking since yesterday's EAPS ep :P

Like, originally when Afton mentioned about distracting Eclipse using his kids (in this ep), I thought: "Oh theyre ghost kids. They can easily get out if he captures them—like Andrew can teach the other two to phase through walls or smth", but since their recent upgrade to having physical bodies... I think Eclipse unknowingly brought them into danger since now it'll be a difficulty for them to escape Afton with that in mind, wouldnt it be??

I honestly doubt that his kids would be fooled easy by anything Afton directly tries... so heres when this theory of mine comes into place.

Maybe smth like Puppetmaster's kidnapping of Charlie (in this ep) would happen? Like the Mimic (based off the theory earlier) would change to have Eclipse's form and lure the kids out. Im sure Andy would be excited since he wants to go out, but Jake and Andrew would be reluctant yet follow him anyway (or convince him to stay).

I honestly dunno man.

Story Time

(Don’t read this one, mom)

Ok, so. I’m giving a friend a tour of the house and she’s positively effusive with praise and curiosity over the renovations, which is great because I thrive on validation much like a houseplant thrives on sunlight.

But when we get to the bedroom, she starts inspecting the wood slat wall and crouches down, asking how I connected the bed frame to the wall.

Which is when she notices the several large eyelet screws that are anchored through the wood slats and into the studs behind the mattress.

“Oh!” she says. “What are these for? Are they like, a bumper so the mattress doesn’t rub again the wood?”

“…yes,” I say. “Yes, that’s exactly what they’re for.”
