Basically in my version of Hermes he is the funny guy, the silly one with a heartbreaker reputation just like everyone else’s. The thing is that let’s be honest no one can be that carefree all the time. In my way of perception I have this AU where young gods must prove themselves at a certain area to become fully a god. Hermes was left all alone since after his birth and the cattle incident, he was lucky Apollo didn’t send him to Tartarus. So while he is half deity and have not ascended yet, many monsters could track on his smell and attack him. Apollo and Artemis had similar experiences too but the fact that they were in Delos rather than in the wild was a giant benefit. Hermes on the other side wasn’t that lucky. He suffered a lot and the only trait that made him win his status was that he helped deliver a little wounded baby bird from one nest to another while his own wing was broken already. Apollo who had been watching him for awhile to see if he would be worth a god or not was hit hard by that action and chose to forgive Hermes. He took upon himself to raise him after he did ascend that day. Hermes still has a sore spot about the suffering he went through due to Apollo, but he loves his half brother a lot even if he doesn’t show it. In the picture above he is having that pain from his blinded eye.

Due to passing all that he did Hermes became a really protective god really. And here we come at the story of Dionysus:

Dionysus as a baby was refused and not liked by the other main gods (Hera and Zeus mostly). Literally Zeus was onto dumping the kid already. Hermes was totally against that idea and after Apollo suggested the idea to the god of speed, he volunteered to raise the kid. The other gods had nothing against it except Hera who was furious. After a few years of Hermes raising Dionysus up she cursed the young half deity with madness which blinded his judgement and sent him to earth with mortals. Hermes was beyond raged when he found out about the whole thing. He refused to send messages anymore and Iris to sympathise with her friend did so too. Olympians and the mortal world could no longer communicate at all. And Dionysus was still insane. That grunge continued for months in the end and finally Hera decided to take off the curse from Dionysus and focused on the other affairs Zeus was having. After all the child had no fault for being born even the way he was born. Hermes went then on a quest to find his little brother. Unfortunately due to the altering of place of living from god to mortal and back Dionysus had grown up way to fast losing a lot of his childhood and teenage years. Yet this whole ordeal had given him the approval of becoming a god. His memory was hazy but he did luckily remember Hermes and had him as a model. I should someday draw their reunion low-key cuz Hermes was bawling happy tears.

In the end the god of trickery, messages and speed has a lot more under his sleeve then we think. Whose story do you want to know next? (Low-key all these ideas randomly pop on my mind during maths class lol)

Twins who don’t look alike for multiple reasons

Both have tat with eachothers symbol as well as the other’s moon/sun decoration to refrence the fact they are siblings and the cycle of day and night

Artemis, like Hermes, has cloud hair, taking after Zeus, while Apollo has his mother’s texture

I wanted to refrence the fact they are related to the other Gods so I tried to give Apollo Athena’s eyes but it didn’t work out.

Between the two of them Apollo has a closer build to Zeus with Artemis taking after both thier mother as well as Rhea (and Kronos, all of them have his dna and I will torure the older 6 with family relations)

Just realised the amount of AU neglect in this damn fandom

Kaldur: Son of Neptune, the Roman form of Poseidon who is the god of the sea. He would probably be in the third cohort and he is the centurion of the third cohort

Reason: i feel like it's a bit obvious y'know? I would have made him as a Greek but I feel like making him Roman would show his leadership qualities more y'know?

Dick Grayson: Son of Athena, goddess of wisdom, warfare and strategy. Maybe he's a golden child I can imagine that lmao. I'm not sure about this tho so feel free to give suggestions for other godly parents. And also he'd probably be the Head Councillor of the Athena Cabin

Reason: Cuz he's smart and I has a mean strategic thinking

Wally West: Son of Nike, goddess of victory, speed and strength. I would have made him Hermes but I think Nike fits more

Reason: He's a speedster and all, my boy go zooommmmm

Conner Kent: Son of Ares (I'm also not sure about this) my boy would be the best fighter of the Ares Cabin and you can't tell me otherwise

Reason: Ares kids are well violent at times??? And I'm pretty sure they're also loyal. Conner's loyal to the team so- (this is just me trying to make a reason) and the anger issues too (I know he has character development in S3 don't come after me-)

Megan Morse: (we're taking her human form for this) I didn't think this through at all so...daughter of Aphrodite??? Does that make sense??

Reason: Aphrodite kids have Charmspeak and M'gann's powers are a bit similar. Dw tho she's the nice one of the Aphrodite Cabin

Artemis Crock: Daughter of Apollo, of course she's mainly good at archery rather than music or medicine (one of Apollo's favourites shh don't tell anyone)

Reason: now before you bombard me with questions on why not Artemis and what not, Artemis (talking about the Greek goddess) does not have kids, i could've chosen the Hunters of Artemis too but I didn't want to since I still want Spitfire to exist- (I am NOT dooming ships in this AU) and so if not Artemis, why not her twin brother Apollo?

Zatanna Zatara: Daughter of Hecate, I don't know what to put here. ✨ Anyway ✨ she would probably team up with Artemis a hell lot

Raquel Ervin: She's way more harder compared to the others since she doesn't have that much screen time compared to the others (she's such an underrated character smh) so maybe...hear me out now, daughter of Hermes (or Demeter idk)

Reason: you might be like "Hermes? Really?" Lemme explain. I feel like she's got that mischievous vibe going on alright- (yeah I'm still making excuses, tsk tsk -my future self)

Hermes x Tiresias doodle page for both the headcanon of me thinking they're married and also the idea of the wedding doodle page I had a while ago!!

Explanation for certain things on the doodle page, like Apollo seeming a bit peeved in it below:

My headcanon for Epic!Tiresias' backstory is basically a combination of all the myths about him. Meaning he's been blinded a total of 3 times in my version (the first time being by some of the God's cuz he revealed some of the secrets he knew from Olympus—ones that he swore not to share while still a priestess of Apollo—and he got unblinded due to tearfully apologizing and swearing not to do it again, the second time was by Athena when he accidentally saw something he shouldn't have—and she felt bad for the guy—so she gave him the ability to communicate with birds and was able to restore his sight—but only partially, and the third and final time was with Hera—who got angry at him due to giving an answer she didn't want during an argument with Zeus—and she blinded him in a rage—which led to Tiresias breaking down since his sight was taken again—and Zeus felt kinda bad—so he gave him the ability of prophecy and an expanded lifespan, etc).

The vase with two sheep's is also because sheep's are one of Hermes' sacred animals, and the two sheep's are supposed to symbolize Hermes & Tiresias.

However, in context with his backstory with Apollo, he was transformed into a woman after an incident with accidentally striking two snakes cuz they wouldn't get outta the way and he was trying to lightly push them—but they resisted pretty hard and got kind of aggressive, and was a priestess to Hera for some time before she angered Hera in an unrelated incident and was stripped of her status. But Apollo took an interest in her, so she became a priestess for him instead, and in return, he offered to help her change back—by saying if she left two snakes alone the next time she saw a pair of some, she'd be changed back. So she left two snakes alone the next time she encountered some, and was transformed back into a man. However, she was transformed back into a woman at some point due to a enchanted lake she accidentally went into, then into a man again by Apollo when she asked for help—but he left out of anger after she rejected an offer he made to her—and temporarily transformed her into a woman—and then into a man again when he realized he was kinda in the wrong and transformed her as some kind of 'apology'. Then into a woman again by Hera when she was so angry at him she transformed him—and then back into a man when she realized her mistake. Then into a woman by Zeus after failing a test he did. She becomes a man again after the muses speak to her on behalf of Apollo, and then Aphrodite gets a bit mad at him for breaking something by accident at her temple—so she transforms him into a woman and then a mouse. But Aphrodite was more quick to forgive him and is cool with him now. However, while Apollo doesn't exactly intend on doing anything bad to Tiresias, he's still a little peeved at him for earlier incidents—so he does support Hermes during the marriage thing, he's just annoyed. While Artemis is supportive too—she just didn't think Hermes would actually go for marriage one day.

Tiresias is basically changed back and forth a lot, sort of like a curse—he may even be cursed in my version—and is given a lot of abilities as apologies for different things that happened to him.

So I've been listening to the epic soundtrack on repeat for about a week and a half now, which inevitably had me thinking of Pjo and Hoo, etc, and like I genuinely unironically believe that every god on Olympus just really thinks nico is great and loves the little fucker (aside from zeus but literally fuck him). Percy's on everyone's list BUT his father's (and maybe apollo) but Nico is just. Like. He's pretty chill. I think everyone loves him fr. Like obviously Hades, Demeter, Persephone, Dionysus, Hestia and Apollo love the shit out of him, but also I think Athena would like him cuz he's a brilliant strategist, Ares would like him cuz he's a ruthless fighter when the need arises, Aphrodite would love him cuz his whole love history and relationship with Will is *muah* delicious, Hera likes him out of spite (tell me I'm wrong). I bet he talked to Hermes a lot while he was living in the underworld cuz he brought messages down there so much. He and Thanatos are bros. Artemis likes him and feels somewhat protective of him because of Bianca. Cupid likes him but Nico hates cupid, sooooo. And idk about Poseidon, I think Poseidon doesn't like him much cuz Nico got Percy imprisoned that one time and we know how the fucker holds a grudge 🙄 anyway my brain is soup and everyone loves Nico. All the gods definitely love nico and you can't convince me otherwise sorry.

12: Echo needs to stand SEVERAL feet away from Hera. That ship is so god damn tasteless and unnecessary. If you're gonna give hera a new love interest. Maybe give them actual moments?? Make it make sense!!

14: ignoring the Artemis bit cuz she wasn't relevant for any of the major plots and she still isn't. Anyways. Hades stay the FUCK away from Thanatos. "They can have conversations" oh?? How fascinating. Hades just NOW deciding to care about Thanatos doesn't make up for years of his neglect.

15: Persephone, Ares and Aphrodite should beat Eros' ass for being useless about Apollo. I still think that. Eros is an ass of a friend.

16: 'new powers' ..Girl your powers are basically your old powers with one extra step. Shut UP!!! anyways. (No one cares about kassandra, sorry not sorry. Who was worried about that )

17: Hades and Persephones millionth drabble of nonsense fluff. They're not saying anything new, nor are they doing anything new. I do like the art tho. It's just..baffling how..they're relationship started soo much nonsense and we're suppose to see it as a good thing??

Nevermind the fact Persephone didn't spend time with her friends or her MOTHER, nevermind the fact Zeus and Posedion don't even get to speak to their mother either.

Hera, Hestia and Demeter don't have a moment with Metis either.

Like..what was the point of bringing them back if you weren't gonna bring it to a satisfying conclusion?? Absolutely insane

Also..Eileithyias design is ass. It's sooo boring. It's literally just pilot Hebe but darker. Oh wow she's yellow with purple eyes??? Insidious. Also she just looks boring and bland to be the daughter of the literal king and queen but sure. Give us nothing.

And..again with making the children boring copies of one specific parent! Macaria is so..boring to look at just like Melinoe. Also...hades can..have kids now?? 🤨 okay.

So basically..this was insane from start to finish.

This wasn't a good conclusion. It was absolutely a wreck.
